I woke up at 11 am. I hadn't intended to sleep in that late, however, given how eventful my previous night was, my little body needed the sleep. The TV was still on, and of course, the Coleman homicide was all over FOX61.

I listened for a bit:

...the primary suspect identified by Hamden Police is their 9-year-old adopted daughter Esther Coleman, who has believed to have drowned in the family's lake. we well have more information as this case continues to unfold...

I was relieved to have not seen my face or real name on the news. I had some time to flee the State of Connecticut before the name Leena Klammer becomes famous.

I got dressed, I had put on the same red dress and tights I had on the day before. Only this time, I decided to leave off the white bow that was at the collar of the dress. I had also left my top button undone. I felt this helped me not look like a child.

I had left my room and went to the front desk to check out. I had noticed an old grey Toyota Camry in the parking lot, it had a 'for sale - see front desk' sign on the dashboard. I couldn't believe my luck. I was going to buy this car, provided the price was low enough and be gone. When I had gotten to the front office, the same guy that had checked me in last night was there.

"Who do I talk to about the car outside?" I had asked.

"Me, it's a Camry from 1999, old as fuck, but still works. I'm just trying to get rid of it. Do you want it?"

I nodded my head.

"I'll give it to you for $200."

"That's perfect," I said while handing him the money.

He handed me the keys.

"Title is in the glove box, I have already signed what I needed to sign, you can just fill the rest out yourself."

"Duly noted," I said while leaving. I had a big grin on my face, still not believing my luck.

I had gotten into my new car. To my surprise the car was clean. I had started the engine, saw that I had plenty of gas, 3/4 of a tank, and took off.

My priority was to get the hell out Connecticut. My plan was simple, I was going to go south on Highway 10 through New Haven until I reached I-95. Then, after turning right, proceed down I-95 Southbound until I was out of the State of Connecticut.
