Chapter Ninety Six: Non-Emergency Meeting

Sumi's POV

"What do you mean he's called an emergency meeting?" I asked Takashi, "Tell him no, we've got shit to do. We're still not done Christmas shopping and we still need to get things for the nursery."

He nodded in agreement, not wanting to attend whatever Tamaki constituted an emergency meeting. After telling him that we still had shopping to do and that we were busy, he told me Tamaki's reply, "He says he'll have the meeting at the mall."

I groaned, "Fine, but we can't stay long. Can you ask him what's the big emergency?"

He did and then provided Tamaki's answer, "Kyoya and Yuki."

"Oh, he knows about Kyoya being with Yuki." I rolled my eyes, "Tell him we'll meet him in the food court of the mall with the others. I'll reach out to Reiko and Kimi, so we have everyone who knows." He nodded and told Tamaki while I texted Kimi and Reiko, so they could let the twins and Mitsukuni know. I got a quick text back from Reiko, letting me know that they weren't going to bother with it and they'll meet us later this afternoon for dinner. Kimi texted back not too long after, she and Hikaru would come, but they would be late as they had plans this morning that they weren't going to rush because Tamaki was being an idiot. Kaoru had already made plans this morning so he wasn't going to come. "It's just you and me going, Hikaru and Kimi are going to be late. Reiko and Mitsukuni are going to meet us for dinner later."

"He'll probably call Hikaru, Kaoru, and Mitsukuni too." He replied.

"Yeah and they can deal with that when he does." I told him, "Hope for his sake, he's not the one who wakes up Mitsukuni."

Hunny's POV

As I traced my hand up Reiko's waist, hastily trying to remove her last bit of clothing off before we were interrupted again, my phone rang. Reiko sat up, "I'm gonna go shower. Feel free to join me when you're done talking to Tamaki." She moved out from under me and headed toward the bathroom.

Angrily, I picked up the phone, "What?"

"Sorry to wake you, Hunny." He started fearfully.

"I was already awake, I was a little busy with my wife." I seethed, "What do you want?"

"Calling a meeting for the club, Kyoya found Yuki."

Taking a deep breath, Reiko warned that he'd call me about that after he called Takashi. Sumi had already given us the heads up. "Reiko and I already have plans, we can't make this one."

"Okay, if you guys find you have the time, we'll be at the mall."

"Okay, I'll text you if we end up coming." I told him, "I'll text you if we end up coming." I tried to keep it open, but I knew it wasn't likely we'd go. Kyoya and Yuki's relationship was their business, not ours. It's always been blatantly clear they'd prefer to keep their relationship private. The fact that Kyoya knew where Yuki was and went to go see her did not constitute an emergency meeting. Although neither did Haruhi being at that bed and breakfast. When Kyoya gets back, he's going to have to teach him what emergency means and what only needs a group text. This needed neither.

After hanging up with Tamaki, I went to join Reiko. Hopefully, she was still in the mood to do more than just shower. Although, a long shower wouldn't be the worst thing for me either.

Hikaru's POV

Hearing my phone go off, I groaned and untangled myself from Kimi to get it. Looking up at me, she told me, "It's Tamaki. Sumi gave me a heads up earlier. He found out about Kyoya spending the break with Yuki. I told her if we'd meet her and Mori at the mall and we'd be late to whatever meeting Tamaki wants us to go to. Kyoya and Yuki's relationship has nothing to do with any of us. It'd be like him calling an emergency meeting on our relationship"

Completely in agreement with her, I threw my phone on the dresser. If he really wanted us, he could leave a message. Turning back to her, I asked, "So what would you like to do this morning? We could go get something to eat. Or we could go to the aquarium."

"Or we could continue what we were doing, then go get brunch, and then see where the day takes us until we eventually decide to meet up with Sumi and Mori." She suggested.

"I think that sounds like a fantastic idea." I kissed her gently, "Any idea where you want to eat?"

"Could we go to that little bistro on the other side of town?" She bit her lip hopefully.

"We can go anywhere you want."

Yuki's POV

Pulling out my phone to show Kyoya the apartments I had found for rent that weren't terrible in between the universities we would be attending, I found a message from Sumi. I looked up at him, "Looks like you coming out here caused a bit of a stir, Tamaki called an emergency meeting."

Kyoya rolled his eyes, "I'll deal with him when I get back. Our relationship isn't any of his business."

"Well, at some point, you might want to tell him he's your brother in law now."

"I will, but I'd rather focus on my wife at the moment." Kyoya kissed me tenderly, pulling me onto his lap from my spot next to him on the couch. We had the apartment to ourselves tonight. Matthew had a date so he dropped off his stuff and a pizza and left about an hour ago. Rocket was asleep on his bed, so it was just us on the couch with a movie on that neither of us were really getting into. As Kyoya pulled away from the kiss, he added, "It is our wedding night after all."

"And what would you like to do?" I asked him, full well knowing the answer. We hadn't been home for very long before dinner was dropped off. After we eloped, we went and got coffee, then walked through riverside park. After lunch at a little Italian place, we went shopping and then headed back to the apartment.

"I can think of a few things." He responded, kissing my collar bone.

"So can I." I told him, before listing things I knew he would want to wait until we got up to Massachusetts to do. "Like finding a place to rent, getting a car…"

Briefly, he stopped kissing my collar bone and pulled out his phone. He had a house already pulled up. It was a nice house in Southborough with 4 bedrooms, two and half bathrooms, a basement, a deck, and one of those driveways that connected to the street on both ends.

"It's available for rent and I've contacted the property manager for a tour." He told me as I looked through the pictures. It was a nice house. "I was able to talk to Sumi about getting something bigger because we plan to stay there long term while studying and it gives us room if our family ends up growing in that time."

"How'd she agree to that?"

"We both found a business arrangement neither of us could pass up." He replied, "Now about that car, may I?" He gestured to his phone. I handed him back his phone. "I was thinking of something like this for you since you'll be mostly the one driving it until I get back." He showed me a Subaru Crosstrek, which I liked quite a bit, especially in the darker blue color that they had.

"I like that." I smiled, "And there's a dealership in Natick which is right next to the university. That might be one of the first things we'll want to do since we're not old enough to rent a car. Reiko's brother, Luke, is gonna pick us up from Boston Logan and take us to our hotel. He might be able to help us out with getting to the dealership. The car is going to have to be in your name though since you're 18 and I won't be for another few months."

"That's not a problem." He replied, "Anything else on your mind?"

"Yeah." I smiled. He raised an eyebrow. "My gorgeous brilliant husband who thinks of everything." I kissed him deeply.

Sumi's POV

"I'm gonna get some Thai food, do you want to wait for Tamaki?" I asked Takashi.

"I'd rather get the food." He replied.

I sighed, "Fine, I'll go find a table and wait for Tamaki."

He kissed my head, "I'll be right back."

After I found a table, it was only a matter of minutes before Tamaki was sitting in front of me. Haruhi joined us not too long after. Before he could ask where Takashi was, I explained, "He's getting food." Deciding to rip off the bandaid, I then told him, "You said you wanted to talk about Kyoya visiting Yuki. We already knew where she was and I told him. He asked me when you guys were visiting the island villa so he could get back in contact with her."

"She doing okay?" Haruhi asked her before Tamaki could start on whatever rant he was about to.

"Yeah, she's living with one of Reiko's brother's currently." I answered, "Her and Kyoya are going to be attending college near each other, so they're looking for places to live near where they're going to be going."

"Kyoya's leaving Japan?" Tamaki's jaw dropped, "So he decided to leave with Yuki after all. Why didn't you tell the rest of us where she was if you knew?"

"You didn't ask, so we didn't tell you." I answered, "And at this point Kyoya was the only other person who was supposed to know where she was going because he was originally supposed to go with her, but there was a timing issue and he missed meeting up with the rest of us to talk about it."

"Who else knows?" Tamaki asked.

"Well, Reiko and Mitsukuni know because she's been staying with one of Reiko's older brothers." I told him, feeling like I was explaining something I really shouldn't have had to.

"I think Kimi and the twins might have known Kyoya was leaving to go see Yuki." Haruhi added, "They were meeting up with Kyoya to give him some clothes and a couple of other things. She was talking a lot about a dress Hikaru designed."

"We didn't know he was going to see her until he asked us to pick up a package for him." Kimi told us, sitting down. Hikaru sat down next to her, resting his arm around her shoulders. "Kaoru picked it up for him and then showed us."

"We found something similar to it that he could have and then I sketched out a design of a dress for her, along with a suit for him, that we could make sure was made before he left. " Hikaru added.

"Why would you make them-" Tamaki started.

"Because they decided to elope." Takashi answered before Tamaki could finish, sitting down with our food.

"That looks good." Hikaru commented, "That from the Thai place?"

Takashi nodded.

"Do you want something?" Hikaru asked Kimi.

"I could go for a burger." Kimi replied.

"I got it." Hikaru told her before going to get their food.

"I'm glad those two ended up finding a way to be together." Haruhi commented and then turned to Tamaki, "Tamaki-Senpai, do you want to go get something to eat?"

"I could go for some pizza." Tamaki mauled over her suggestion, his attitude completely changing as he focused completely on Haruhi. Once again, Yuki was out of sight and out of mind as far as Tamaki was concerned. They got up and went to get something to eat.

"Wow, that lasted longer than I expected." I said in observation.

"He'll probably bring it up when Kyoya gets back." Takashi replied.

"Well, Kyoya can deal with it when he does." I told him, "What do you want to get first?"

"I vote we start off with the lightest stuff first so that I'm not carrying around the heaviest things the entire time we're here or making multiple trips out to the car." Takashi reasoned.

"I can help carry stuff." I insisted.

"You will, the lighter stuff like clothes." He responded.

"I can carry more than just clothes, but it's a start." I kissed him lightly.
