When they made it to the top of the stairs Alara caught Amber glaring at them.

"Un-oh looks like someone's not gonna be the fairest in the land anymore." James joked as he looked at his sister.

'Oh please be nice!' Alara thought after she heard that.

"Amber, James. I trust you'll do your best to make your new sisters feel welcomed." Roland questioned them

"Of course father." Amber answered in that sickly sweet voice of hers.

"Your majesty." Sophia bowed at Roland.

"King Roland." Miranda grinned as she walked over to her husband.

"Hey there!" Sophia bubbled as she greeted James and Amber.

"Good morrow Sophia, Alara." James replied.

Alara looked over at James and waved

Sheepishly.

"Princess Amber." Alara noted before she walked away.

"I'm so excited that we are sisters!" Sophia cheered

"Step-sisters." retorted Amber

"Amber, James. I know there aren't many fairy tales about kind and loving step mothers but I hope to change that… these are for you." Miranda smiled as she handed them a sewed family crest.

"It's your family crest." Alara added as she walked up to them.

"That's right Alara. Because that's all this is really about, becoming a new family." Miranda explained

"Sophia, Alara. Welcome to the family!" Roland rejoiced

"All hail Queen Miranda, Princess Sophia, and Princess Alara!" The royal steward yelled out to the crowd.

As Alara took in her surroundings she saw Sophia was curtseying at everyone.

"We don't have to curtsey unless they're royalty." She heard Amber say to her sister.

'I think it's going to take us a while to get a hang of things around here.' Alara thought

"Just follow my lead and you'll be okay." Amber whispered to Sophia

"Great!" Sophia smiled stepping forward

"Be careful mate, that's the new princess's thrones."

Alara looked up and stopped walking to see three guys carrying in her sister's, her mother's, and her throne.

It surprised her that the king already had two of her favorite colors.

It was a simple throne. Gold edges with red in the middle.

As Alara was about to continue walking, Cedric bumped into her.

"Child watch where you're dawdling." Cedric warned as he tapped his wand to his hand.

"Mr ceedric!" She gasped

"It's cedric." he hissed at her

"It's so great to meet a real life sorcerer! That flower trick was amazing." She complimented him

"If by AmAziNg you mean a complete waste of my talents then yes thank you." he sassed back

"I should be out slaying dragons battling ogres.

But nooo king roland has me doing parlor tricks when I should be in!' He yelled before he disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Alara turned around to see an old looking man behind her.

"I am bailiwick the castle steward. It is my responsibility to make sure everything in the castle is where it should be when it should be,

And you my dear should be in the banquet hall… 30 seconds ago." He explained

"Oh right."

Alara looked down at her plate.

There were 6 forks, 5 spoons, and three glasses each filled with different drinks.

'Which one do I use?!' She thought as she picked up her forks in her hand.

She looked over to see that Sophia had the same problem as her.

"Uhh." she mumbled under her breath.

"Alara?"

"AHH!" Alara yelped, dropping her forks all over the floor.

"Uh yes, your majesty?" She asked as she looked at the forks on the floor.

"Call me Roland, or you with the crown, or dad?" he trailed off

"It's a tradition to provide an official welcome to every new member of the royal family.

For your mother it was the wedding, but for you guys we will be throwing a royal ball in your honor at week's end." Roland explained

"Brillant." Sophie mumbled looking at her chicken

"A ball just for.. Us?" Alara cautioned.

"Father, why didn't I get a ball?" Amber asked

"You did amber. When you and your brother were born." Roland answered

"You don't remember?" James giggled at amber.

"Sophie, it will be your guys royal debut." Roland Shared as he cut his chicken before he looked at Alara

"You and I shall dance the first waltz ." He said after he finished eating

"Oh rolly." Miranda exclaimed

"You're so sweet." Sophia Giggled looking at him.

'I have to dance.' Alara panicked

"What a better way to let everyone in the tri-kingdom area know that princess Alara and sophia has arrived.

Alara looked down at her hands, not ready for what this new life was about to bring.
