Chapter 9
Tea
As Alara got off of the carriage she entered the castle.
She walked right into the banquet hall and she could see people carrying plates, napkins, a couple or carpets, and a huge cake.
"I want the gold ware, not the silverware."
Bailiwick barked.
Alara looked behind her to see Sophia walking in carrying all of her books.
"This is a royal occasion not a picnic." Bailiwick snapped.
"Alara!"
Alara turned around to see her mother standing behind her.
"How was school?" Miranda asked.
"I thought being a princess would be easy.
But it's really hard." murmured Alara.
"I know just what you need." Miranda whispered as she knelt down.
~~~
Out in the royal garden sat Sophia, ruby, and jade already talking.
"Jade, Ruby."
Alara smiled
"I thought that you and Sophia could have some familiar faces." Miranda stated
"Thanks mom."
Alara thanked
"JADE, RUBY!" Alara exclaimed as she rushed over to the table.
"I am so gald to see you." She was thrilled as she and Ruby hugged.
"How many gowns do you guys have?" Ruby questioned
"A lot." Sophia answered
"We're really missed you guys." Jade mumbled
" We've missed you guys too." Alara said as she took a bite of her cake.
"Oh how many tiaras?" Ruby asked
"Five, no six." Alara answered As she reached for the tea pot.
Alara was about to pour the tea when James walked by
"Here." James said as he took the pot out of her hands and poured it for her.
"Let me help you with that." James said.
"Prince james." Jade preached
"What are you doing here?" Sophia asked
"I'm sorry I've been a royal dunce, but I want to make it up to you." James sighed
"How?" Alara questioned
"Well… by teaching you all the royal stuff you need to know for the royal ball." James answered
"We can start with how to pour the perfect cup of tea." James said as he picked up the tea pot and walked over to Ruby
James tilted the tea pot and poured the tea in.
James then walked over to Jade and poured her tea.
As Amber walked through the garden she heard James say.
"Best curtsy I've seen all year." He gushed as Alara curtsyed
"You're all set for the ball now." he stated
"My work here is done." He said
"There is one more thing." Alara gulped
"What?" James asked
"I can't dance." Alara said as she shook her head.
"Is that all?" James asked
"We have dance class with professor Popoff tomorrow." James said
"But the ball is tomorrow night." Alara squealed
"One class with Popoff you'll be dancing circles around all of us." James Said
