Isobel would occasionally watch Otto tend to his work, often curious about his motives and interests on his fusion core. Like a child, she could only read and learn in her books and magazines, beginning to grow bored with all the text and images. Her bright, ghostly white eyes would look at Otto's metal limbs, and her soft, petite features would always be twisted in a slight, confused, and even a bit fearful expression.

Isobel stood up and glanced at him, she thought about saying something to announce that was going to leave, but she somewhat knew that he was going to ignore her., quickly walking up towards the open and left without a sound., dashing off and away from the warehouse before Otto could stop her.

Otto would spend some time gathering materials, getting the core recharged, and preparing for the next step. Meanwhile, Isobel drifted off to the center of New York City where she felt suddenly overwhelmed being around other people she didn't know. But her main goal was to find something interesting and new. There was a newspaper stall with dozens of newspapers all around just for display.

On the headline, it read: "Mysterious Violet Star leaves Bloodbath!" Was it referring to her? Was the city calling her the Violet Star? She was responsible for the fun she had with those cops at the bank. Was it her fault that the police couldn't take her? It was a reasonable question, and she decided to stop by the stall and read the papers to see what the fuss was all about.

Isobel smiled at being acknowledged and known as the "Violet Star" by the local press. It felt good to be so well known. It showed the image of what the city thought she looked like. A shadow with a twisted tail and bright glowing eyes.

The people of the city didn't know her at all. All of this was so amusing that Isobel began to laugh out loud. Soon people looked over to see what was so funny. Isobel folded the newspapers and shoved them into her pocket. She began to walk through the city, searching and browsing for something new that she could entertain herself with. "Isobel?" a voice called out to her. Isobel turned and saw Otto staring at her.

"I've been looking all over for you." Isobel was curious and shocked that he was here in broad daylight. But his mechanical arms weren't visible, it was hiding under his big coat. "...Otto?" She said in puzzlement.

"What's going on, Isobel? Where have you been?" He asked.

"I don't know. I just wandered out of the city for a little bit." He pulled her away from the crowds of the city and into a nearby alley, slightly infuriated with her about something.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Said Otto. Isobel tilts her head once more, confused.

"You've brought attention to yourself." He slammed the local newspaper near her face in anger.

Isobel giggled, "Yeah! The humans gave me a name."

Otto glanced at the article: "Mysterious Violet Star," and slammed it against the wall in anger.

"Take this seriously, Isobel."

"I am." She said in reply. Otto sighed in exasperation, Isobel put her arms behind her back contemplated for a moment, and said, "Let's do something! I don't want to be in that warehouse for a while and maybe you shouldn't too."

"What?" He said in a dark tone "You think I have time for that? I must finish my fusion reactor."

"No, no, no!" Isobel said in dismay.

"Let's go do something else, then." Otto looked at her with tension, thought about his decisions long and hard, and finally agreed. He groaned impatiently on the way. Isobel led him to a nearby park, and he watched her as she took the long route around to a grassy area. "Here seems so nature like. Less gross." Said Isobel. Isobel sat on a nearby bench and said, "Do you like it here?" "Not really." He said. "So dull. I thought you'd like it." Isobel pouted.

"I've lived here all my life. Nothing's new." He said "Let's go. I'm starting to hate it here." Said Otto.

Isobel looked up at him in shock, "Hate it here?" Otto began to walk away from the park. Isobel shortly caught up with him, still persistent in doing something in the city despite him not wanting to.

"Wait up." She said. Otto sighed and stopped to face her. "We're going now." He pulled her by the arm, insisting they leave. Isobel frowned and let herself be pulled along.

Along the way, Isobel couldn't help but gawk at the nearby stores and how they attracted her. There was a tailor shop with brightly colored clothes. It had long, flowing lines, and the windows were large panels of stained glass. It was quaint and inviting. A tea parlor had tables and chairs outside, and a woman with a white cap was tending to plants in one corner. It was inviting, and it made Isobel feel envious.

Without hesitation, Isobel entered the shop as Otto was annoyed by her curiosity and just wanted to go home. She didn't buy anything. She just stared at the clothes and tried them on. Most were too big or too small, but one or two she could have been able to wear.

Otto made sure he was keeping to himself as he watched Isobel browse in the store. Isobel looked up from one of the shirts and said, "What do you think of this one?" She held it up in her hand.

"I don't think of anything. Let's go" said Otto Now growing impatient Isobel decided to drop everything and followed him outside, insisting to persuade him "It looks so nice. If only the place you... stay in... currently. Would be more like that!" Said Isobel. Otto considered that an odd thing to say and ignored it.

He grabbed Isobel's hand and pulled her along. "You're so boring." Isobel pouted Then, unexpectedly, Otto's mechanical arms ripped through his big coat and slammed Isobel against the brick walls of a nearby building.

The immediate scene caused attention, the public crowds reacted in stupefaction. Isobel was a bit surprised but gestured to Otto with her eyes that they were bringing attention to themselves. The visible abomination of his monstrous mechanical, tentacles caused gasps and screams to erupt from the onlookers.

Isobel smirked, slightly amused by his unrelenting outburst, as Otto pulled himself together. He did not speak and began to pounce along with the buildings, disappearing as he climbed along with the structures and over the roofs.

Isobel glanced at the people around her. She was left alone without him, brushing all the tension off as if it was nothing The crowds of people who witnessed the scene were shocked but Isobel didn't care. Everything was back to normal now. Otto was gone, and Isobel stood there. She glanced around the city, a little bit disoriented, and sighed.

"So... that was fun." She muttered. Isobel walked across the street and onto the next building ahead of her. Her interests always brought her into the city's stores, boutiques, and curious places.

The alleyways she roamed down were darker and rougher than the clean and well-lit streets, but that added to the allure. She loved the alleyways more than the streets. She wandered through the alleys near her home for several hours. She glanced down the alleyways and along the rooftops, admiring the city. Her tail wagged back and forth, and she ran her tongue along with her sharpened teeth.

She decided to take a break for a while, free from the cramped warehouse she resided in. The sky was slowly drifting into nighttime, and it was time to go home. Isobel walked back to the warehouse and entered through the rusted gated entrance. She arrived with some stuff she managed to grab hold on; movies.

DVDs she had liberated from the buildings that housed them. Some music as well. She was taking everything back to her place to watch it all, or so she would have you believe. Upon entering the place, it was dark and gloomy. The rust continued to grow on its structure and she soon laid eyes on Otto's restless figure

"So, you've come back have you?" He asked in a mocking voice.

Isobel's eyes narrowed and she replied, "I always come back. Don't I?"

Otto shook his head in disgust, "No, not like you. You're a lost cause, I see that now." Isobel gave a derisive snort.

"If seeing that I'm lost irks you that much, then why did you let me into your mind in the first place? I'd rather be in a dark alley with a predator than in here with you."

"Then leave." Said Otto. "Go on. I don't want you here."

Isobel stepped closer to Otto. "I can take on the world, you know."

Otto gave a slow nod.

"Damn it!" Otto slammed his fist onto the table, thwarted through his work with the fusion reactor

"Frustrated?" Teased Isobel.

Otto continued to fume. "I've been so close to finishing my work, and now you've come along and thrown a wrench in the gears. I suppose I can just as easily abandon the experiment and go home."

"Mm. Sad." Said Isobel.

Otto did not reply. He was deep in thought. Isobel glanced around and said, "Best you rest. I'm sure a human like you shouldn't be so... weary."

"I don't need to rest." Said Otto, "Oh, but you do."Isobel smirked.

Isobel directed her floating orb in front of him. Its glow was flashing towards him, stopping him from his work, "What is this?" He said annoyed, Isobel didn't say a word, she poured a bit of her power into his mind, slowly relaxing his mood so that he may cease the negative feelings he's been having.

The orb pulsed and shimmered, taking him into a trance, "Relax." Isobel said once Otto was deep in her control. The orb beamed bright, and then, with a snap, it faded. Otto's eyes opened, staring at Isobel in bewilderment.

"...You broke off the trance. Huh." Said Isobel, amused. Otto rubbed his forehead, sighing.

"What on earth did you do?"

"It's what's keeping you in this state. The more I take from you, the more I can do for you. I'm trying to help you, but you're going to have to let me into your mind again."Explained Isobel. Otto frowned, shaking his head.

"No." Said Otto. "No more. It's too dangerous."

Isobel sighed, if he wasn't going through with it, she didn't know what she'd do. "I haven't taken anything from you yet. I can take what I want, and then some. You'll still have everything you had before." Otto glanced over his shoulder.

"You can... mend me?" He twitched his head as if something was interjecting his decision-making.

"Yes." Isobel nodded slowly.

"Yes, I can." Otto seemed to sag. Relief washed over him. "Then... okay!" Isobel smiled, satisfied. The tentacles snapped at her, almost wanting to attack. Somehow, a part of himself was managing on his own. The other half didn't want it to end like this. Isobel knew she had to be careful and she gave a little nod. Jumping in excitement.

She gave a big smile, "Yay! I can help you!" Otto's mouth hung open.

"Simmer down." He said. Isobel's smile broadened.
