Legends. Stories scattered through time. Mankind has grown fond of these stories. These legends often have one thing in common. Heroes. Symbols of greatness, influence and light. A character meant to overcome any obstacle they come across. They are loved by all. Praised for even the simplest of things. And worshipped by a few.
Many stories of heroes have been told by others, but they all share a similar premise: Saving a village from terror, saving a damsel in distress and retrieving a artifact of magic or anything considered a heroic act. However if there is one thing heroes are known for, it arguably this-slaying monsters.
The monster is the hero's enemy. They are evil incarnate. Hideous and forever shunned by all. The complete opposite of the hero. Monsters are feared by all common folk. Men, women, young and old. Which is what the monster takes advantage of as they are always seen destroying villages and preying upon the innoccent.
The hero, however, does not fear the monster. They stand their ground no matter the size or shape of the monster, holding a sword, shield or spear in hand. That is why heroes slay them, an act of chivalry that restores the people's hope and faith.
Yet...when was the time the monster praised?
A time when the monster was loved by all?
Or even a time the hero was the monster?
Are there any stories where the monster was the hero? A monster was the symbol of light? Of hope?
The answer is simple: No, never. Remnant is filled so many myths and legends but none of them have a heroic monster. The monsters, Creatures of Grimm, have no emotions. No mercy, no compassion. Only bloodlust and the want to destroy humanity and the Faunus along with their creations.
There is no such thing as a heroic monster. The Grimm have no souls. They always will be the monsters that the heroes have to slay. They are not and will never be anything else.

47 bombings, and yet the the beast walked them all off like they were nothing. Well, not this time.
Bikini Atoll, the Marshall Islands. South Pacific Ocean.
April 12th, 1954
Ah, the Marshal Islands. Truly a wonderful sight to see. Clear skies, clear waters to swim, tall palm trees to provide shade, and natives that always welcomed sailors and other travelers. Honestly, this place would be nice to visit on vacation. But at the moment, there was a large US battleship offshore. Some of the natives didn't understand why such a large ship was in their island waters but a few of the older ones had a distinct feeling that it had to do with the beast called Gojira.
The soldiers and other officers of the US military ship moved around the boat, getting ready for a bombing test. At least that's what was publicly said when this was really an extermination for something really big. And that something big was coming right now.
The water began to ripple as the silhouette of a large creature appeared under the surface. Then three rows of jagged charcoal gray spikes dorsal fins surfaced and cut through the water like shark fins.
A soldier picked up a microphone and spoke on the PA system upon seeing the dorsal fins to the whole crew. "All attendants, the Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism has arrived. Launch Castle Bravo in 15 seconds."
In T-minus 10...9...8...7...6...
The dorsal fins stopped moving and began to rise out of the water.

The bomb was launched into the air before it flew towards the creature at high speeds. The animal turned its head to the bomb just as it made contact. The bomb exploded in a blinding light creating a large mushroom cloud. The soldiers waited with baited breath to see if the monster was still alive. "Our radar isn't picking up any signs of the creature." A soldier said after a few moments of silence. "It's like it just vanished in thin air."
No signs of the creature that could only mean one thing..."We did it," the General whispered under his breath before shouting it for all to hear cheerfully and triumphantly. "We did it boys!" That caused many to whoop and cheer in celebration. Their bomb was so powerful it vaporized the entire body!
All but one person wasn't celebrating.
Unlike the soldiers, Eji Serizawa was a member of the research organization MONARCH. He and the other members were assigned to locate and study Gojira and any other MUTOs (Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms.) and study their behavior and biology to understand them. Serizawa looked at his pocket watch for a brief moment before looking out to the ocean. He didn't know why but he had the suspicion that Gojira was not dead. He sighed at the arrogance of these men. Gojira couldn't be the only MUTO on Earth. More could be out there. Deep in the ocean or under ground. He put his pocket watch in his pocket as he looked to sky. Whatever the future holds, he prays that mankind will survive.
...That tickled.
Honestly that didn't hurt one bit. Yet Gojira could not understand how he was not knocked out.
Because I allowed it my young warrior.
Ah I see...wait.
Gojira was confused. Why was he allowed to be knocked out by the humans?
I'm sorry my young warrior for doing this but it needs to be done.
Gojira's confusion turned to curiosity.
What needs to be done? Does balance need to be restored? But who threatens the balance? He who is a Cloud of Death is gone...is it the One who is Many? Has that Devil returned? But how? I laid him to rest in the land of Frozen grounds in the south.
No Gojira. Balance in your home is not threatened. But another land needs its balance restored.
How is the other land not part of his home? Isn't the whole world his territory? Perhaps this land is a place where he hasn't travelled to before.
Another land needs balanced restored? Where? I will travel to it to do my duty.
There is no need my young warrior. When you wake, you will be in the land. But be warned, there will be those who seek your death more than the humans in your homeland. And there is one similar to the One who is Many. But she wishes for the death of all life including her own.
A devil that wishes for death for all life? Including her own? That's a first, Gojira had never encountered a being like that before.
Very well. It does not matter about those who wish to see my death. I will not falter.
Gojira had a feeling that Gaia was smiling proudly at Gojira's determination.
I know my young warrior. I will miss you greatly, You have defended your home and brought balance multiple times. For that I'm grateful. Goodbye Gojira.
The darkness faded into light and Gojira landed face first in sand.
...Ow...
So this was inspired by another Godzilla-RWBY crossover called "RWBY: Into the Monsterverse." I highly recommend to read it.
Now before we move on, who do you think could make a good voice actor for Godzilla?
Keanu Reeves
Josh Brolin
Sylvester Stallone
K. Reeves, (I listed him because he's John Wick.) Brolin and Stallone because this is Legendary Godzilla, I figured his voice should sound experienced. What do you think?
