Speedsta drove the ATV onto a frozen lake and hit the thrustas. The resulting blast of energy pushed the ATV bike to the limit and within a few moments, he was coming up the fort. Speedsta knew that trying to brake on a frozen lake was a waste of time, so as soon as he came up on the nearest wall of the fort he made a diving leap, latching himself on to a foothold on the scrap wall. The ATV thudded into the wall right behind Speedsta. He looked back to check on the ATV and see how the rest of his mob was doing. The ATV appeared undamaged, but the rest of his mob was still far behind him, the mob's truck having repeatedly spun out while trying to drive over the frozen lake. "Nice driving Gibbler." Speedsta muttered to himself as he climbed up the wall and jumped over the other side, landing in a soft pile of snow inside the fort's "courtyard."
Speedsta was greeted by the guttural shouts of a mob of feral humans. This group had somehow managed to kill or seriously injure the three boyz Speedsta had assigned to keep watch over the fort and now had their eyes set on Speedsta.
"WAAAGH!" Speedsta shouted as he rushed toward the nearest feral human warrior swinging his "choppa arm" wildly as he closed the gap. Moments later the humans shouted distorted cries of their own and rushed in to attack him.
Speedsta drove his choppa arm into the first human, driving the blade deep into the man's chest before pulling it out to close in on the next target. But while he was pulling the blade out, he felt a sharp twinge of pain in his side. One of the feral humans had stabbed him with a primitive blade of his own. Just a flesh wound he thought to himself. Then he turned to his second human opponent, swinging his slugga like a club and smashing it into his opponent's head. The man was knocked back away from the group, leaving Speedsta free to choose another target. But as he did so, yet another primitive blade found its way into Speedsta's back. Speedsta felt his strength starting to drain away but the raging fires of his wrath kept him conscious.
Speedsta used his slugga as a club to push the other humans still attacking him away while he spun around to face the warrior that had stabbed him in the back. He lashed out at the warrior with his choppa arm, but the warrior parried the attack and plunged a hatchet into his shoulder. But still he didn't go down. With a howl, Speedsta threw the full weight of his body into his attacker, knocking his shield away and lacerating the arm that had been holding the hatched. The man cried out in agony, and fell to his knees as blood spluttered uncontrollably from the arm wound.
Speedsta felt his vision starting to blur. He knew he didn't have long until he blacked out. He spun around once more to face the last two humans, only to find that they and the rest of their mob had retreated out the gate of the fort, and had loaded themselves up into one of their trucks.
That's when Speedsta saw the rest of his mob jumping over the walls and landing in the courtyard. "Shoot them gits!" He heard Gibler shout as the ork fired his shoota frantically at the retreating humans and hitting nothing.
Speedsta fired a few wounds at the human truck with his slugga, not bothering to aim. The shots went wild as the truck sped off into the snowy wilderness.
When his boys ran to pursue, Speedsta held up a hand to call off the pursuit.
"Leave them be. Chase them, and we would be heading straight into an ambush. Besides, I gutted enough humans for one day," Speedsta snickered as he sat down. The blood from his wounds started to paint the snow red around him, but already scabs were forming across many of them.
The rest of the boyz stared in awe at their Nob. Somehow, Speedsta had faced an entire mob of feral humans by himself, and not only had survived, but had gutted three of them himself.
But Da Boyz had suffered losses of their own. Two of his boyz, including the slaver were found dead inside the fort.
Those stupid humans cost me plenty of good teef today. Hiring a new slaver alone is going to cost a bundle.
At that moment he noticed Puncha Git the grot strutting his way through the front gate of the fort, his face filled with amusement and glee at the sight of the dead slaver.
"Of course, we could always EAT the Grot and NOT hire a new slaver." Speedsta said out loud, grinning.
Puncha Git shivered…and not just from the cold either.
