Day 24: Twas the Night Before Christmas
Twas the Night Before Christmas, when all through the manor,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a bunny;
The stockings were hung by the hearth with care,
In hopes that the hero St. Nicholas would soon be there;
The adventurers were nestled all snug up in their beds,
While visions of Jyaga Marukun danced in their heads;
And Hestia in her kerchief, and Bell in his cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,
When out in the Dungeon there arose such a clatter,
Bell sprang from his bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window, he flew like a rabbit,
Tore open the shutters and threw out a sash.
The moon behind the crest of the Babel Tower
Gave the lustre of mid-day to houses below,
When what to Bell's wondering eye's should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight monster reindeer,
With a muscular driver, so lively and loud,
Bell thought in that moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid then dragons his coursers they came,
And he laughed and shouted, and called out his own name;
"I am Ganesha! I am Ganesha! I am Ganesha!
To the top of the tower! To the top of the wall!
I am Ganesha! I am Ganesha! I am Ganesha!"
Bell ducked back inside, and he climbed into bed.
He said nothing more, and tried to clear his head.
As he tossed and turned, he heard single phrase,
He hear it loud, in a sleep-induced haze:
"Merry Christmas to all! And to all a good night!"
