Afterlife Mystic Falls Tyler's Sixteenth Birthday party.

Bonnie felt like she was wearing someone else's skin. Though Stefan tried his best it was Caroline that dragged her to this party. She could smell the mixture of alcohol and cannabis as she stood on the mansion porch. She stuffed her petite frame into a dress Caroline bought for her, which she couldn't refuse. Bonnie felt like Cady Heron, on her way to meet the plastics for the first time. Yes, Bonnie grew up with most of the people at this party, nevertheless, she always felt out of place.

The door opened, and a cloud of smoke came out with it. Before her, Tyler appeared

draped in Caroline. "Right on time Bonnie," Caroline yelled sarcastically. "Everyone been here per-gaming," She yelled as she walked into the house, headed straight for the stairs.

"How long has she been wasted?" Bonnie asked as she and Tyler wadded through their classmates trying to catch up to Caroline who was already up the first flight of stairs.

"Maybe thirty minutes. You need to catch up everyone was here for the pre-game."

"Tyler you know the deal."

"I'm not give you water today. It's my sixteenth birthday and I have a mansion to myself. We are all getting trashed and not going to remember a single moment of this," he said as he handed her his bottle of ..

Bonnie smirked at her friend. Somehow Tyler had the power to convince her of anything. She thought it was because he and Caroline were soulmates. "Fine," Bonnie groaned taking the bottle.

She tossed her head back in a dramatic show. Damon emerged from behind them. "Slow down Judgy, we both know you're not a drinker."

"You know nothing about me," Bonnie challenged as she walked into Tyler's loft style room on the third floor.

Matt immediately jumped up from his spot next to Elena and grabbed Bonnie in a tight embrace. "If it isn't my favorite Fly Girl." It was obvious that Caroline wasn't the only one that had one to many. Matt was defiantly what you'd call a happy drunk. "Let's get a game of beer pong going. We're undefeated."

"I'm going to play catch up first. Where's the good stuff?" Bonnie asked looking to Tyler.

"Mason brought moonshine and jungle juice," Tyler said walking her to his mini fridge were there was a table full of drinks, weed, edibles, and food.

"Your favorite," Caroline said handing Bonnie an edible Fruity Pebbles bar and a cup of Jungle Juice.

"What would I do without you Care?" Bonnie said wrapping her arms around her.

"Take it off," Elena yelled as she joined her two best friends. "Where's Stefan? He's usually joined to your hip."

"I thought he was here already," Bonnie shrugged as she munched on her goodies. "Damon might know," She said nodding her head in his direction.

"Let's go down stairs. Matt brought his hookah," Caroline said not giving the girls any choice.

Elena and Bonnie gave each other a telling glance and laughed. "I'm not playing house mother tonight and neither are you," Elena warned.

"We can make Stefan do it. He's technically the last man standing," Bonnie laughed.

"True." Elena nodded. "Should I break the news or you."

"I can do it. He'll be cool about it."

"Can you two walk any slower?" Caroline yelled peeking over the corner she rounded.

"Coming," Elena giggled as she and Bonnie speed up to catch Caroline.

"You three go find something else to do," Caroline said to three freshmen. It took less than a second for them to follow Caroline's orders.

"Harsh," Anna said hugged Bonnie.

"If you'd like to join them you're free to go too."

"She's such a mean drunk," Anna laughed.

"Straight bitch," Elena added.

"Hey no one's worse than Katherine," Caroline laughed.

"But she's a funny kind of bitchy, you're just super bossy," Bonnie said

"Sounds like regular Caroling to me," Elena added. The girls shared a laugh.

Caroline picked out the flavor she wanted. "Cherry good with you three?"

"I love how she pretends we have a choice," Bonnie said to Elena.

"Anyway," Caroline said. She continued to set up the hookah and gave the pair mouth pieces. She reached into her bra and pulled out some weed. "Care to do the honors?" Caroline asked Anna.

Anna removed the previous coil and added the weed to the cherry coil. She lite the hookah and the girls each enjoyed a puff. "I'm so happy mid-terms are over. I think I'm going to fail history."

"You can always join the study group," Caroline offered.

"No offense, but I think I'd rather fail," Anna said making Bonnie and Elena laugh. "How are the prep courses going Bon?"

"It would be great if a certain someone wasn't there," Bonnie said referring to Damon.

"He's like the hottest guy ever," Caroline confessed.

"I think you mean cocky, condescending, and a whole ass," Bonnie smiled.

"Someone's got the fever," Anna added fanning herself. "I don't think Stefan will like you having the hots for his brother."

"One, Stefan's like my brother, two, I'm not pinning after Damon, and three, Ew."

"There's nothing in the world like hate sex," Caroline added. "You def need your pipes cleaned out."

"No one's been in my pipes so let's not go there," Bonnie added.

"I'd have Stefan any which way I could," Anna added.

"I'll make sure to let Mason know," Stefan said as he snuck in behind Bonnie.

"If you do I'll make sure to pick nice flowers to place on your grave," Anna added.

"And I thought Care was the only mean drunk in the group," Stefan added with a raised brow.

"Wow, I didn't do anything, and I'm still insulted," Caroline mumbled to herself.

"You know we love you Care," Stefan said pulling her into a tight bear hug.

Tyler and Matt appeared. "I thought that was my girlfriend?"

"Not tonight," Caroline joked as she wrapped her arms around Stefan.

"Well we were hoping you'd guys would be up for some games," Matt said with a wink.

"I'm down for Body shots," Caroline added.

"All in good time," Stefan joked.

"Let's just go back to my room," Tyler said wedging himself between Caroline and Stefan.

Bonnie laughed as she linked arms with Stefan and followed everyone upstairs. "What took you so long?" Bonnie asked.

"Lexi called. She's having trouble picking a school and the conversation took a few turns and I never left the house," He laughed.

"You guys still planning to go to school out West together?" Bonnie asked.

"Yeah, but I still have a year to think about it, she's been putting it off and it's a little overwhelming for her."

"We do have our summer trip to Maine to look forward to. A nice beach house, sand, lobster, and no parents," Bonnie added.

"So…" Stefan started.

"No please don't say your parents are coming?"

"They're not," Stefan smiled.

"But?"

"So… Zach and Gail were going to watch out for us, but she can't take off from work so… Damon maybe going with us."

"Really? Damon. As in the most irresponsible person on the eastern seaboard? That Damon?"

"My parents wouldn't let me go with just you and Lexi. They think someone's going to die or turn up pregnant."

"With Damon who knows we might end up having both happen," Bonnie huffed. "My buzz is officially killed. We were going to make you house mother"-

"Gee thanks," Stefan laughed.

"You were the last to show"-

"Because I was being a good friend unlike you who's a shit friend."

"Well, have at it," Bonnie said walking him to the table spread.

"If it isn't my favorite couple," Damon said wedging himself between Bonnie and Stefan and putting his arms on their shoulders. "Ready to play some truth or dare with the Scooby Doo gang?"

"I think someone's been hitting the sauce hard," Stefan smiled at Bonnie.

"At least one of us is hitting something. How about it Bonnie? Did you let my baby bro get to second base?" Damon hoped his jealous demand came across as nothing but simple teasing. The look of fury in Stefan's eyes told him all he needed to know.

Bonnie tensed and did her best to ignore Damon's teasing. He was the reason everyone assumed she and Stefan were an item. Truth is Damon was the name she found herself writing in hearts. Stefan was a close friend and nothing more.

"Get bored looking for a girl at this party you haven't had sex with?" Bonnie asked.

"Bon, if you want a taste of perfection all you have to do is ask," Damon said orienting himself in front of Bonnie and rubbing her bottom lip.

Stefan didn't like the way they were looking at each other or the fact that twelve seconds passed, and Bonnie had yet to tell Damon to stick his perfection where the sun doesn't shine. "Can you leave now?" Stefan asked.

"Sorry Cinderella looks like Prince Charming is demanding your time," Damon huffed.

"Bye Damon," Bonnie laughed as she shook her head. "I still don't see how you two have the same parents?"

"I told you he's adopted," Stefan said making her laugh. "Dance with me."

"I thought you wanted to play a game?"

"I just want to hang with my co-house mother."

"'Kay," Bonnie said following his lead.

Damon rolled his eyes as he watched the pair leave the room. "Still pining over your baby bro's girl." Katherine asked as she gave him a shot of bourbon.

"I'm not pining over her," Damon said and threw his head back taking the shot. "Where did Mason go?"

"His room with Anna," Katherine laughed.

"I don't think she'll make it out of high school before he knocks her up," Damon smirked.

"I could say the same for Stefan and Bonnie," Katherine teased.

"Now I remember why I loath you. You're a miserable bitch."

Katherine handed him a cup off the table and raised hers in the air. "Just like you."

Bonnie was determined to teach Stefan how to move to the beat of a song. Every now and then he could catch a good rhythm, but the Island turn the music was taking was far too much for his white boyband moves. Bonnie took the lead and grabbed his hips instructing him on how to move to different songs. Every now and then one of them would whisper to the other and they'd laugh. Damon sat in a discrete corner hoping his brother would fall flat on his face.

"It's sickening how prefect they are," Elena said catching his line of vision.

"I think they're adorable," he lied.

"I know that look Damon, and I heard Katherine. You like Bonnie."

"Why do you care?"

"Because she likes you and I'm her best friend."

"You and Katherine share more then a face, what's the real reason?"

"Stefan."

"Not over that thing yet I mean it took Caroline all of two weeks to realize that June wedding was out of the question. And what about your quarterback?"

"Matt… It's just… boring. Routine, planned, IDK but it's too small town for me. Stefan is in love with Bonnie. She just doesn't see it. She just thinks they're friends. It's so frustrating watching this when you know they have someone that is willing to give them what they want, but they're too blind to see it."

"Slow down Shakespeare. Just because you think you're right for someone does not make it true."

"With a little magic anything can be true," Elena smiled.

"Yeah, so messing with magic hasn't ended well for anyone in this town."

"Well if you can live with watching them dance at their wedding, why not," Elena said and walked away.

Damon hated that Elena was right. He couldn't bare to watch his brother with Bonnie, but he knew Bonnie deserved a guy like Stefan. And if Bonnie was with any other guy he was sure he'd wind up kicking his ass.

"I'm in need of water let's go back upstairs," Bonnie whispered to Stefan.

"After you," Stefan said spinning Bonnie in front of him and following her to Tyler's room.

When they got up stairs the gang was in a circle playing what looked like spin the bottle. "I have a feeling we're getting sucked into that," Bonnie groaned.

"Maybe if we're quiet, Caroline, won't see us, and we can get food downstairs," Stefan said.

Bonnie nodded and just as the paired turned Caroline's voice filtered through the room. "Come play with us," She yelled to them.

"Maybe later we're still jamming," Stefan said.

"Seriously," Caroline said staring straight at Bonnie.

"Don't look at her," Stefan cautioned.

"I already am."

"Bonnie…"

"Just for a minute Stefan, you're the one saying I need to be adventurous."

"Fine," Stefan agreed, and they walked in. Stefan grabbed them two beers each and they joined the circle. "What are you playing anyway?"

"Truth or Dare. You spin to pick your victim," Tyler said holding a flashlight under his face.

"Umm, ok," Stefan said with a laugh.

"It's Elena's turn," Caroline informed the two new recruits.

"Let's see who I get." Elena spun the bottle and it quickly spun around. Once it slowed it looked as if it was going to stop on Stefan, but Elena's happy expression quickly dropped when it slowly passed Stefan and landed on Bonnie. "So, what do you choose Truth or Dare?"

"I'm going to go with dare," Bonnie shrugged.

Elena bit her lip and thought of a good dare, then her gaze landed on Damon. She smirked. "I dare you to do seven minutes in Haven with Damon."

"I mean truth," Bonnie groaned.

"You made your choice Bon," Matt chimed in.

"I will literally set myself on fire not to have to do that," Bonnie protested.

"It wouldn't be a good dare if it was something you wanted to do," Elena said in a cheery sing-song voice. "So, grab some gloss and get in the closet."

"Pay back's a bitch Gilbert," Bonnie said as she stood.

"You guys act like I have the plague. I'm better looking then all of you combined."

"I don't think he's ego is going to fit in there with you Bon," Stefan said making her laugh.

"Let's get this over with," Damon said opening the closet door for Bonnie and watching her walk in.

"This is stupid," Bonnie said as Damon closed the door.

"It could be worse you could be in here with Tyler and his flashlight," Damon said making Bonnie smirk.

"Let's just get this over with," Bonnie said leaning against the wall.

Damon immediately invaded her space. "Have you even gone to second base?" Damon whispered. His breath caressed her neck and she tried to back away from him more. "Running away so soon?" Damon reached out and ran his finger tips lightly across her skin. "You're not the least bit curious about how soft my lips are. Or the things they can make you feel?"

"Kiss me or don't it's your choice, but I don't want to have a conversation with you about it," Bonnie said hearing the break in her voice.

"Fine," Damon said inching away then going in for the kill. He gently pressed his lips against hers. Bonnie was shocked that he kissed her. She stood paralyzed for a moment before her hands rested on his shoulders. Damon deepened the kiss and pushed her back into the wall. Bonnie fingers gripped on to his soft curly hair and Damon grabbed her legs and wrapped them around his waist.

Bonnie moaned as Damon kisses trailed down her neck. Damon smirked and pushed his hips into hers. He let his hands trail up under her dress and in her panties. "Mmm," Bonnie moaned as Damon teased her button.

"You're so wet for me Bonnie," Damon whispered against her ear. He captured the lobe in his mouth and gently sucked and bit down on it. Bonnie moved her hips against him. "Mmm, that's a good girl," Damon praised. "You wanna cum for me Bonnie."

"Mmmm," She moaned.

"Maybe later," Damon said moving away from her.

Bonnie licked her lips. She wanted to demand why he did that, but it would give him the gratification of knowing she enjoyed it. He'd never let it go. When the door opened a smug look was plastered on his face. Bonnie rolled her eyes and rushed out the room.

"You're an ass," Stefan said when he stood to follow her.

"I did absolutely nothing wrong," Damon yelled and left the party.

Stefan found Bonnie in the only part of the house that was empty the apartment over the garage. Stefan knew when Bonnie needed to be alone, but it took fifteen minutes to find her and Bonnie was taking long swigs from a tequila bottle. Stefan ventured into the room. "Was it that bad?"

No, it was that good, Bonnie thought to herself. "Why is he such an ass. It's like he's seven different people all in one and his mood swings drive me insane," She grumbled before taking a long sip.

Stefan grabbed the bottle from her and drank. "Damon thinks he's cool and he has a set of rules for himself that only make sense to himself. He's just trying to figure out life like the rest of us."

Bonnie took the bottle back, "Why are you so deep?"

"It's the sixties in my soul man," Stefan teased.

Bonnie laughed and lay her head on Stefan's chest. "You're the best I don't know if I'd make it through high school without you."

"Oh, I plan on dragging you to hell with me when we're 100," he laughed.

"Wait," Elena called after Damon.

"I don't have time for this right now," Damon groaned.

"You need me, and I need you. If you want Bonnie as much as I know you do, help me," Elena pleaded. "If not, you can be Stefan's best man when he marries her."

"Can we do this later?"

"The grille tomorrow at six."

"Kay."

"And with that I sold my soul to the devil," Damon said doing another glass of bourbon. He was growing increasingly tired of Elena and her presence.

"Almost." Elena smirked. "It took a bit more convincing to get you to agree."

Stefan and Bonnie lay in the bed when Stefan shot up. Bonnie looked at him and he was smirking. "What's with the goofy grin?"

"I snagged something off Ty," he said reaching into his shirt pocket and pulling up a perfectly folded L. "You know you wanna," he teased. Stefan lay back down ad lit the blunt.

Stefan took a long drag and then passed it to Bonnie. "Shit." A few ashes burned her, and she shot up knocking it out of Stefan's hand on to the sheet.

"Fuck," Stefan said, putting out the blunt with his finger.

The pair eyed each other and soon started to laugh. Soon the air around them felt charge with electricity and Stefan felt a pull to her. Like magnets their lips fused together in a slow gentle kiss.

Bonnie pulled away from him. Stefan watched closely as she licked her plump lips. His green eyes studied hers and he dove in and took her lips in a passionate searing kiss. Bonnie felt something awaken in her stomach. The familiar flutter of butterflies moved through her being. Stefan took a handful of her hair and pushed her against the bed, not once losing contact with the sweet sanctuary of her lips.

It took a moment for him to sober and realize that things had quickly taken a turn. Stefan looked down at Bonnie. Her skirt was hiked up her waist her hair framed her in a wild chestnut storm. She was angelic. And he wanted her. "Bonnie, I"-

Bonnie reached up and kissed him just as passionately as he kissed her. Her hands creeped under the hem of his shirt as she helped ease it off. "We don't have to do this," Stefan said his voice breaking at the end.

"I want to," Bonnie agreed. Her eyes filled with a dreamy look he'd only seen her give Damon and that was it.

Stefan carefully removed her clothes kissing her exposed skin along the way-

"I get the picture," Damon yelled as he snatched Stefan's journal away.

"Does it make you uncomfortable reliving your baby mama's first time?" Elena teased. "It's sickening isn't it?"

"What?

"How humbly American Pie their lives were going to be."

"Until we stole that from them!"

"Your conscious always did have bad timing."

"This is over. I'm not going to spell them again. Obviously, the first time didn't work. None of it got you Stefan. And it never will."

Elena's eye cut at him. "Should we keep reading?" Elena said picking up Bonnie's journal.

Bonnie sat on Caroline's porch waiting for the blonde to show. She invited her over for a movie night and was nowhere in sight. Then Bonnie noticed a small red car pull up the drive way. Her heart hitched in her chest. He was here. Bonnie quickly collected her things, but it wasn't quick enough.

"Bonnie," Stefan said.

She chanced a glance at him. His eyes were furious and his face a stone mask. "Stefan," she mumbled slowly.

"I was going to send out a search party for you," he joked.

"I've been busy with school."

"Funny I haven't seen you in any of our classes, or at school in general," he said slowly approaching her.

"I'm going to go. I have a lot of stuff to catch up on."

"Just tell me. Tell me what happened? Because in that moment I know you felt it. I know you love me Bonnie," Stefan said as he cradled her face in his hand.

Bonnie swallowed to try to silence the butterflies in her stomach. She wished his touch didn't affect her the way it did. "You're my best friend. I'll always love you."

"Bonnie, I loved you since the day I met you. I need to know if you"-

"What's up you two?" Elena asked from the steps.

"Just waiting for Caroline and Anna," Bonnie said as she backed away from Stefan.

"You don't know what he wanted to ask, and she doesn't know what she would have said if he did," Damon sneered defensively.

"She loved him, and you stole that from her. You stole the memory of her first time. Bonnie can forgive a lot, but you manipulated her."

"I know Bonnie and they way we love each other, nothing would ever come between that. I'd always pick her, and she'd always pick me."

"You willing to put that to the test?"

"I'M NOT HELPING YOU, YOU PSYCHO BITCH," Damon yelled.

"If you're not my friend, you're my enemy and I'll have no choice but to take you down. If things don't go as planned. I'll let them know what we did, and I'll give them both that lovely little potion to undo the spell. And we'll see how strong your love is then."

Damon glared at her. She was just as manipulative and cunning as he remembered. He needed to tame his anger, so he could think clearly. All he wanted was to ripe the brunette limp from limb. That would be messy, and he couldn't leave a mess.

"NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN," Damon yelled and walked through the door slamming it shut. The house quaked, and the windows shook with the force.

Elena just snickered. She was going to get everything she wanted. She'd ruin Bonnie's trust in Damon and get to ride off into the sunset with Stefan by her side.

Bonnie had no where to go. Stefan was with Lexi trying to convince her things were going to work out. Caroline and Tyler were with their parents, and her mom and grams insisted that she needed to rest so they took Sarah and sent Bonnie away. Bonnie sighed as she looked around the old dance studio she practically lived in as a child.

It was small, and smelled like feet and sweat, but it was home. This was the place she first met the Salvatore family. She had dance class the same time Stefan and Damon had karate. One day Damon kicked her trying to show off for one of the older girls and Stefan took him down. Of course, Stefan didn't win that fight, but he won Bonnie's friendship and that was it.

Bonnie turned on the tiny stereo and Missy Elliott came blurring through. She didn't know the newer song, so she gave it a listen instantly falling in love with Pharrell's beat. She ran the song back and once the beat dropped the familiar rush moved through her body taking over her. She watched in the mirror to keep her line straight, her toes pointed, and her turns clean. Bonnie often forgot how freeing dancing was for her. It was her therapy.

Soon the song was over, and she smiled at herself in the mirror. The next song had a slower tempo; however the words ring true to her heart.

This emotional rollercoaster

Lovin' you ain't nothin' healthy

Lovin' you was never good for me (For me, oh)

But I can't get off

And like that the music moved her. With her eyes closed she let her body and the music tell her story and reveal her pain.

Yesterday I told myself

I was gonna be okay

Gonna start a new day, truly happy

I was gonna take control of me

Bonnie felt herself going to a place she had long forgotten. She was in her peace. And suddenly the world didn't feel so big and daunting. Her love was her love, her life was her life. She had control.

But eventually reality hit me

Mentally, physically, emotionally

And I opened my eyes and realized

That I was still bein' taken for a constant ride on

your

Bonnie knew this feeling was fleeting, and yearning for it to stay brought her out of the enjoyment. This feeling was as fleeting and pleasurable as an orgasm and just as euphoric as kiss from your first love.

I'm on an emotional rollercoaster (Ooh, baby)

Lovin' you ain't nothin' healthy (For real, it's never

healthy for me)

Lovin' you was never good for me (Oh, but I can't get)

But I can't get off (Ooh...ooh...baby...)

With the end of the song Bonnie felt her chest give, and before the warmth of tears she hit her, she heard clapping. She looked up and saw her father's reflection before her. Bonnie smiled and turned. She ran into her father's arms and cried little the scared little girl she felt like. She let his strength wash over her and loved that his arms always made her feel protected, and strong.

"I thought you'd be here," Rudy said as he wiped her tears.

"I couldn't sleep," Bonnie shrugged.

"Take a walk with me," he asked reaching for her hand.

Bonnie looked at his hand and grabbed it proudly. They walked from the rec center to the town square. They didn't say a word, but Bonnie really enjoyed his presence. She reached over and kissed his cheek when they sat on a bench in the square. "I love you so much daddy."

"Love you more Bun," he smiled at her. Rudy studied his daughter for a moment. "You know I'd do anything for you and Sarah," he smiled. "If you are in trouble and you need me all you have to do is ask."

Bonnie swallowed. Lying was the reason she loss him the first time and something inside of her wouldn't let that happen again. Though that other life was nothing more then a dream she promised herself not to make the same mistakes. "If I need you, I'll let you know."

"Can you tell me what's going on with you? I know it involves Damon and the Gilbert girl. I heard your mom and Shelia going on a magical tyrant, and I want you to have no part in that."

"Daddy I'm a witch and if I weren't I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I know mom didn't tell you before you got married, but this is who I am, who she is, and I know you love us, but you need to love us this way."

Rudy hugged Bonnie and held her tight. "I know what happens to folk like you. I've watched Abby and Shelia lose a lot of people they love fooling with magic. And I'm not losing any of you. Not ever," he said with finality.

Bonnie smiled and kissed her dad's cheek. "You think Grams will go down easily," she laughed.

"I don't think God himself could take her without a few words, if she wasn't ready," he laughed, "But I want to watch you grow old, and I want you to experience all I've got to with you, with Sarah. I don't want her to lose you."

Bonnie smiled. "Thank you, for caring so much for me, even though I make all the wrong choices," she cried.

"You haven't been with mushy since you were pregnant with Sarah. Don't tell me that boy got you pregnant, again, without a ring on your finger."

Bonnie froze. Could she be?
