*BANG*
*CRASH*
"Al!" I screamed, hearing shouting and feeling the vibrations of several detonation charms resonate through the floor and bed frame.
"Scor!" I heard back in the blackness. What was happening?
"We traced Albus to the Manor, he has to be here."
"Search everywhere!" Another voice returned. There was another crash and the sound of plates shattering.
"You are not welcome in this House!" Came the squeaky cry of one of the elves from downstairs. I couldn't tell which one had spoken.
*CRACK*
"Ahhhhhh."
"Daisy, Itsy, Rabastian, stop the intruders." cried Father. We were under attack!
Suddenly all the lights in the house were flickering and electricity arced dangerously around like bright blue tendrils of death. The defenses had been turned on.
Al summoned his wands and leapt wildly from the bed. I tried grabbing at him but he broke free, kicking me wildly off of him. He took flight before I could stop him, sprinting out of the room faster than I believed was possible. The look in his eyes had been too outrageously frantic for me to grasp. He needed to stay here where we were protected.
"Al! its not safe!" I cried chasing after him. I heard another explosion from downstairs, then another.
As I raced through the rooms, I could see the limp forms of several… Oh Merlin's beard… Aurors. NO!
"Al!" I screamed again, as he flew through the corridors and down the stairs. "Be careful. They're aurors!"
I managed to catch up to the idiot, but only because he'd finally stopped running. He was facing a very bewildered-
"Al?" asked Harry Potter, advancing towards his son. The head auror's relief was beyond palpable. Why was Al's dad here?
"QrASJH!" Al screamed back, rage and fear lit darkly in his eyes. He wasn't thinking straight.
"Albus."
"TRY AND TAKE HIM FROM ME AGAIN!" Al continued tears pouring down his cheeks, his wand pointed steadily at his fathers face.
"Al… your hands. Your bluescale its gon…" Harry started bewildered in the changing lights, forgetting entirely the situation he found himself in.
"mRASH AShI SACHaSj ASHaI ChrAS!" Al screamed again. Something was very wrong. I could feel darkness pouring from Al. An alien intent, filled with hate.
"POTTER? WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?" Father yelled running into the room with his own wand drawn. It was too much, too fast.
"Lower it Draco."
"Not until I have an explanation!" Father shot back without moving to comply.
"Why is my son in your house?"
"What are you on about? Your son isn't… Albus? Scorpius what on earth is going on."
Al wasn't listening to any of it. His wand was still pointed at his father and I could feel the terror raging in his heart. He was petrified.
"MRASH ASHI SACHAS ASHAI!" he hissed sending an enormous red blast towards his father.
"Al!" I yelled grabbing at his hand to try and lower the wand. Harry had blocked the spell by virtue of his quick reflexes but the expression he wore at his son's hissing was…
"Nobody is getting taken away." I said wrestling to keep his wand hand down. Al had moved so fast, his form was perfect even though his mind was a cacophony of anguish and fear. How could Al attack his own dad for me?
"Lower the wand Malfoy." I turned to see a grim faced Ron Weasley appear behind father with two more formidable Aurors flanking him.
"This is my house. I am Great Britain's Supreme Founder, you have no right to come here and threaten me Weasley!"
Al used the distraction to twist snakelike and unleash another stunning spell. Its magnitude was so great that it blasted through his Uncle's shield charm as though it were but mere rice paper. Ron was thrown halfway across the ballroom and failed to rise from his position on the floor. Father took the opportunity to spin around and disable the other aurors with ease.
Things were escalating too quickly! Father had always warned me about what to do in a situation like this but there was no way I was going to run and leave Al.
"Al stop. Slow your breathing. You are letting the magic control you." Spoke Hermione Granger calmly as she entered the room with two black robed attendants trailing to her immediate left and right. No doubt the two were high ranking Unspeakables. Al wasn't listening. He was fighting me, flailing animal like in my embrace. I could feel fiery energy seeping through his skin. It was starting to burn me.
"Tranquillitatem." she cast as a beam of silvery light shot towards Al. Whatever she had done didn't work right away. The light seemed to be fighting a war of will with Al's mind. He was so furious, so filled with fear that I thought he might dissolve in it.
"Al... please stop. You're hurting me." I whispered as the searing sensation increased. I winced as my silky nightshirt started to burn away. He had heard me though. Mercury and Hyperion chose that moment to pounce up onto us. They perched themselves on my shoulders and were adding their own light to Hermione's spell.
"Please... Al... You're really hurting me."
I watched as the boy slowly regained his senses. Every moment the turbulent maelstrom of thoughts and emotions subsided a little more for the silvery light. Every moment he struggled less in my hold, resigning himself to my embrace. All at once the heat dissipated and I heard him whisper a quiet apology to me. I only held him tighter after that.
"Thats better Al."
"You had all better have an explanation for this!" Father yelled impatiently. His composure had gone completely. His hair was a disheveled mess and his night robe had suffered several tears and singings as un undoubtable result of his battles.
"Draco, my sister in law informed us that Albus went missing several hours ago. Naturally we assumed he had been abducted. You can guess at the conclusions we drew when we traced him to the manor."
"For fucks sake! You hadn't conceived, perhaps, that he might have come of his own volition Granger! The boys are friends after all, and it was Potter's stupid order that kept the two from Hogwarts. You'll recall I have spent the better part of my life atoning for my family's sins." he continued enraged. "I would not so recklessly jeopardize my son's safety by abducting Harry's favorite child."
"Well naturally Ron acted prematurely. Harry was in France on an urgent diplomatic mission so my husband was responsible for mounting the operation in his absence. He may have been… overzealous." Hermione finished calmly as she moved to examine Albus and…me.
"Overzealous!?" Father huffed. "Overzealous?"
"Please Aunt Mione don't…" my idiot friend started when his aunt had reached him. She was performing a number of complex sensory and examination spells while father huffed and mumbled in the corner. I was still affraid to let go of Al.
"Well this obviously has to be studied." Shot a woman's voice from behind one of the black cowls.
"Vivian don't …" Al pleaded, turning from his aunt to the woman who had spoken. He knew her name.
"You're the deputy minister Vivian. If I recall I still make decisions regarding our departments activities." Hermione shot to the figure to her right. Just then the man to her left came forward.
"They are both marked. There is a tether between them. Given documentation and the Seer's work these two could very well be from the proph… "
"You are not taking my son anywhere. I will not allow it. I would sooner obliterate the founder's wall and see all of Great Britain fall into chaos before I allowed any of you to take him. And Burke, that cloak can't hide you from me. I knew who you were when you served the enemy and I would just a soon kill you and your entire family for ever again suggesting something as stupid as what you were about to."
"My life is sworn in service to Great Britain, but should you threaten my family again Draco, I assure you…"
"Enough. The children don't need to hear any more of this." Interrupted Harry, finally stepping in to assume control. "We do, however have to write tonight up. You can have some hot chocolate in my office ok Al, Scorpius?"
The one Al had named Vivian chuckled lightly at that. There was something songlike about her voice that caused the hairs on my neck to bristle involuntarily. It wasn't a gentle birdlike song but rather an ancient deep and powerful one. A voice for shaking the foundations of the earth.
"Hot Chocolate? Really? They're geniuses Harry. They aren't likely to fall for that." Vivian... she was the one that gave us our Cheshires.
"Actually Viv, some hot chocolate would be nice." The twit offered meekly, trying to bring some levity back to the situation. His hand was still clutching mine and hadn't stopped shaking yet. I couldn't let go of him. There was an inexplicable flurry of movement as Father barked an inaudible spell.
"Guards you will accompany us to whitehall." said as warriors in gilded armor suddenly appeared from the shadows. Thats how father had had the confidence to take on so many Aurors. His trump card.
"Dragon Knights from Germany? You've hired golden mercenaries." Mr. Potter shot at Father as though he were the one that should be displeased with the other's actions.
"For my security, yes. A legion of Dragoons to protect me from your incompetence. You will be granting them access to Whitehall if you intend to take my son too."
*SIGH*
"Fine, Fine, Fine. Hermione, Vivian, Markus you are dismissed, send DMLE personnel to collect the wounded. I will see you after the debriefing. Draco you may select five guards to bring along. That will have to suffice. Al come with me." Harry ordered smoothly.
Al didn't move. Mr. Potter sighed again and came to kneel beside his son. I almost moved between them, as though it were my duty to protect him.
APOV
They had tricked me before. Please I thought squeezing Scor's hand.
They won't take him from me again. Streams of tears. Ribbons of equations. Fiery stars and colored nebulas. The sheer power of my magic would consume me if I didn't have Scor to ground me. He was the anchor to which had been bound my strength, my sanity, my soul itself, and in one motion they had severed him from me as would a butcher cleaving away a corrupted section of flesh. There was no way I would let them do that to us again…
Fire and Blood.

"Al… Scorpius is coming too, I promise." I whispered to my terrified son. His hands had healed completely and I knew Scorpius had been the cause. Something about their bond…Albus had gotten so sick when we'd decided to keep him from the other boy. He shut down completely, barely eating, barely sleeping. Lost in that strange world that Hermione dives into when she's at work in the dark and shadowy realm of our world's deepest secrets.
"Seshi… Shes ashi sacrhai" (Please… he's my brother) Al said looking at me with a tortured expression that broke my heart. it reminded me of the pain he'd endured during his premonition. I couldn't do that to him again. I had hoped separating them would help. I had been entirely wrong.
"Ash shas sessani sahi sess esh Scorpius. Ok?" I told him plainly. (I will never again separate you from Scorpius)
"Sessani sahi?"
"Never again."
"Vivian. Go back and make sure the experiments are continuing appropriately." Mione barked. "Burke, you see to my husband."
"Something tells me this will be a very long night." Vivian added before vanishing into the air with little more than a whisper. No one i had ever known could apparate as quietly as she could.
