Author's Note 'Jack's Requiem' got some good reviews, so I wrote another short piece, from Will's POV. This one is slightly bitter, but I hope you all like it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Dirge for Two Men
It changed everything.
And everything is changed.
You played me,
a puppet,
a mindless, senseless
man in love.
You were an angel of light,
yet behind your facade,
dark as a night river.
You were a swan,
eyes like a calm lake,
hair as lustrous as velvet,
and lips, red that the roses envied.
You are what I see: a vulture,
eyes like a steel trap,
hair, a nest for your lies,
lips of bloodied crimson.
I sting, I ache,
you ripped me to shreds.
Since I am no longer one piece,
I am no longer your puppet.
What you have done,
can not be undone.
You have killed.
Not one man,
no,
You have killed
two men.
Blind men.
And in falling to my knees;
I weep.
END
Well, that's it then. Hope you all liked it, it was a bit difficult to try and get into Will's head, because he's not exactly the best at showing his emotions. Jack's POV will probably be the most difficult, though, but I'm up to the challenge.
Cheers,
Chae
