WE FINALLY MEET!

The 7th Universe. Nothing but a vast, also seemingly, limitless space. Decorated and adorned with many stars that have been put in its region, it is truly a spectacular beauty to the naked eye. One who may look up into the midnight sky and observe this magnificent creation will find peace of mind and admire such things. Zipping through this cosmos at unaccountable speeds was a meteorite-like ball of light, leaving behind a long, blazing trail of fiery sparkles that disappeared gradually with each passing moment. If one were lucky enough to see this, it would've looked like an excalibur sword piercing the night sky. Inside this ball of light, however, was a person who had seemed to be leading the way. It was none other than the blue angelic being Whis, accompanied with his companions Lord Beerus, Vegito, and Gogeta. This type of travel acts like your taxi driver, but on a larger scale. Those inside this bubble of light were safe and sound from the outside space that would've threatened them to be seriously injured due to the intense speed, or guarded them from getting hit by an unknown floating objects. In any case, this bubble protected them from such nuisances. After their meals of large proportions, they had made sure to shower, look, and dress well before making the occasion to Planet Remnant. Well, nothing less could've been said for the two saiyans, as they had worn their usual clothing. Although they did make sure to wear a new pair as their previous clothes were dirtied and torned up during their recent training back on Beerus' Planet. Thanks to Whis' help, they didn't worry about damaging their clothing as Whis simply used his angelic powers to produce new ones for them. As for Lord Beerus, being a God of Destruction, it made sense for him to be perfect in every way, despite being a lazy cat with an uptight behavior (that's what some cats are like, right?). Before the initial departure, he practiced to look good for once. Wearing his most luxurious clothing that really could be described as wearing elf-like shoes, track pants and some jewelry and accessories on the upper body to make him stand out. He even cared about working up on his attitude, that is, to be exact, a more menacing nature befitting that of a G.o.D. This was because he wanted to make an impression on the inhabitants of Remnant, announcing the arrival of their Destroyer. While Whis was guiding them to their destination, the three behind him took their time to lay back, relax, and absorb the beauty of the heavens. Well, two except one. Lord Beerus was napping to his heart's content. Perhaps due to the millions of years he lived, he probably lost interest somewhere in between in observing the cosmos, and found sleeping to be more of a supplement to boredom. It had been around about 55 minutes since their withdrawal. He couldn't even last 5 minutes staying awake before drifting off into deep sleep. Despite the tremendous speed they were going at, the universe was still a big place.

"Woooooh." Vegito whistled in awe, with both hands clasped behind his head as he was chilling back while floating in mid-air. "The stars never cease to surprise me, am I right, Gogeta?" He said as they passed each very large star that came into view.

The same could be said for Gogeta. He was also relaxing in mid-air, with his arms crossed, taking in the universe and its splendour. "Yeah…" He spoke up briefly, with a little smile on his face. Not once taking his eyes off from what attracted him most. Though they were moving at the speed of light, outside of their bubble it had looked as if time slowed down for them, allowing a perfect, first person, slideshow view of the magnificent creation.

Catching his counterpart's attention, he asked, "Hmm? What's this? Feeling a little sentimental?"

Gogeta could only chuckle. "No, idiot. It's just that admiring things for the first time really sinks in. Don't you think so?"

"Well yeah..." Vegito responded in kind. "But we've been going back n' forth with Whis from Beerus' Planet to earth multiple times, so this isn't really the first time."

"I know that, but if you really appreciate it, it becomes very fond of you. You know what I mean?"

"Of course. To be fair, I've always appreciated things…" Vegito then let out a noticeable yawn. "But in the meantime, I'm just gonna take a lil' nap, cos' this trip is taking forever."

Vegito couldn't help it. He was starting to get bored. Getting from Beerus' Planet to earth would take about 35 minutes, so it wouldn't bother him since the cosmos was there to compensate for things as well as his friend on some travels. But this trip was really starting to settle it for the saiyan warrior. They have been at it for an hour now, way beyond their usual travel times. He talked with Gogeta along the way, while Whis just steered through space. Who knows how much longer they have to wait. Perhaps the purple cat's graceful slumber had finally gotten to him. I guess he realized just how bored Beerus must've felt in his long lifespan of crossing the universe. Being a God of Destruction comes with fulfilling many duties, which mainly is keeping balance in the cosmos by destroying planets. And destroying planets requires travelling to that particular place. Of course, the farther it is, the longer the trip. While it can be a pain just moving from one place of space to the other, sleeping can cope with that, because sleep can kill time. With that in mind, Vegito did what the purple cat did best, and fell to sleep in an instant. As for Gogeta, he kinda felt lonely now that his best mate left him all by himself. But there was another person he could talk to.

Gogeta simply bowed his head and smiled once again as he snickered, "Hmph, that Vegito. One minute he's talkative and then the next he's as if dead." Vegito snored loudly just like Beerus had been since the departure.

Overhearing this, Whis spoke up, "Vegito has also given up and decided to take time to rest? Honestly, having two people snoring out loud can be a little ear wrenching." Whis' implementation of this was nothing but a joke. It didn't bother him in the very least.

"Oh, Whis!" Gogeta motioned his head toward the tour guide, "You finally decided to talk after all this time. Got me thinking you were antisocial. But knowing you, you're not that type of person."

Whis is always a cheerful and kind person. What he loves most is food. To him, food is like second to none, without it starvation would be inevitable. Being a taste connoisseur wouldn't be a bad idea for him at all. The angelic figure replied to Gogeta, "Please don't get the wrong idea. You and Vegito were having a good time talking, so I thought I would just stay out of the conversation. Besides, I pretty much prefer peace and quietness."

"Oh, you don't say?" the saiyan replied in interest.

While the two started chatting away, surprisingly, or not so, Beerus' ear twitched and perked upward, causing him to wake up and sit cross-legged. The look on his face looked like that of a drunkard. "You two. Shut up. I'm tryna take a nap here so would you mind?"

"Huh? Lord Beerus?" Gogeta wondered. "Again with that attitude… When did you wake up?"

"Just now, imbecile." He groaned. Being short-tempered, he was very disturbed and annoyed, especially when Gogeta pointed out his bad behavior.

Turning his head over his shoulder to get a good eye view of Beerus, Whis intervened, "Lord Beerus, despite the long talk between Vegito and Gogeta, and also ignoring Vegito's loud snore, you were able to wake up to such a small discussion, let alone telling us to silence ourselves? How rude."

Beerus, letting out a big yawn, set his right arm on his right knee and leaned against the end of his palm. At the same time, with his eyes closed and a little smirk on his face, he began plucking away his drowsy, bunny-like ear with his left pinkie. "What's the matter with that, Whis? When a Destroyer God speaks, it is absolute. You need not say a word but obey."

"I am your mentor." Whis insisted.

"True, but that doesn't make you any different from any other person," Beerus replied back.

"Looks like someone has a big ego..."

Beerus sternly stared into the eyes of Gogeta, to which Gogeta just let out laughter.

Amidst them, Vegito was happily snoring. Speaking of Vegito, Beerus noticed the sleepy saiyan knocked out cold. But he decided to let the irritating noises slide since having two saiyans awake would bring him some troublesome news, especially on this long trip. Gogeta was already a handful. "He snores louder than me." Beerus claimed. To his surprise, he wondered why he never woke up to such a thing.

Gogeta countered, "Look who's talking."

A simple "Tch." could be heard under the Destroyer's breath. But he thought it wise to just ignore him. Not wanting to hear anymore from Gogeta, Beerus was hoping that they'd reached their destination. He asked his teacher, "How much time until we reach Remnant?"

Expecting an apology from his student for his earlier rudeness, Whis simply let out a sigh. "Arrgh…" Facing forward with his back against the three, and his left hand holding onto his staff, he replied, "Don't worry, my Lord, you have woken up in time. Our destination is just around the corner."

Zooming through space, taking a steady left turn around a few large-scale stars, "In 3…2…1…" there, at the southern east point of the universe, Planet Remnant began to reveal itself. The planet itself was fairly large, resembling the same substance and size to its respective companion, earth. Although it looked like half of the planet was swallowed up in darkness and the other half dwelling in the light. As if a war had been taking place on it for many centuries which has scarred its surfaces. The intense speed which they were travelling now began to slow down steadily as the four approached the planet.

Gogeta proceeded to knock a fist bump to the top of Vegito's head, causing his fellow saiyan to wake up out of his short slumber with slight pain which he can feel. Holding the top of his head, as if a large bump were to pop up, in order to cease the pain, Vegito asked his partner, "Why'd you hit me!? I was having such a nice dream!"

Not bothering to turn to his friend and explain, Gogeta simply kept his arms crossed as he stared off into the distance. "We're finally here. At this so-called Planet Remnant."

With those words, Vegito then looked into the same direction as Gogeta, with his eyes to be met with the large planet. "Oh, so that's the world which these Gods of Light and Darkness created together? Awesome! I can't wait any longer to step on land."

"Despite the current situation it's in," Whis said, catching everyone's attention, "the world seems to be in stable condition. The fact those two abandoned this planet and yet it still somehow managed to survive down the lines through the chaos is a miracle."

Beerus was interested in what Whis had just said. "Current situation? What do you mean by this, Whis?"

"Yes, well, this current situation has been progressing for a very long time. I had forgotten to mention that Salem is up to no good."

"That witch again, huh? Perhaps seeing her first of all would make for a great reunion. Don't you think, you guys?" Beerus suggested the two saiyans.

"I'd like to see this person." Gogeta inquired.

"Same here. I wanna know if this person is pretty strong." Vegito added.

Happy that he was able to get the two on the same page, he said, "Very well. Whis, take us to where Salem is."

"Sure thing, my Lord." Whis gazed into the black orb that was situated atop of his staff, with a flat circular sphere that encircled the black orb. It wasn't too long for the angel to find Salem's whereabouts. "I have found her location. She is residing in the Land of Darkness, sitting inside her castle. At the moment, she is currently talking with a few others. Maybe her subordinates."

With his energy now revived, and his drowsiness already gone, Beerus gave a devilish chuckle, "Hmph, perfect timing… People of Remnant, meet your Destroyer!" And so, the four drew ever so near to the globe.

[TOUCHDOWN - PLANET REMNANT]

Inside her palace, Salem is seen talking with her subordinates. The castle was that of gloominess and depression. Not a single ray of light penetrated into it, let alone the Land of Darkness, earning its name "Evernight Castle." The members of her inner circle who were gathered there were Hazel Rainart, a level-headed guy, Arthur Watts, a mad genius, Tyrian Callows, some psychopathic freak, and Cinder Fall, the current Fall Maiden, who was accompanied by her associates Emerald Sustrai and Mercury Black. Inside the Conference Hall, everyone was sitting across from each other at a long black-amethyst table that extended from one side of the room to the other side. There were also two empty seats in between the middle. Salem, their master, was sitting at the end of the table, overseeing all of them. After the fall of Beacon, one of the four Huntsman academies, which happened between six-eight months back, Salem has set her eyes on the Kingdom of Mistral. More specifically, Haven Academy. But while they were still discussing their next plans, a sudden chill ran up Salem's spine, causing her to suddenly gasp for air and gain a slight headache.

The grim witch withheld her speech as she gripped her forehead, while her subordinates stared at her keenly after seeing this unexpected moment. "This is strange… Where is this feeling coming from?" She was pondering in thought comprehending the odd feeling that she had just felt. Was it because she wasn't getting enough rest? That couldn't be it, she was an immortal after all. Her calm composure never showed any signs of tiredness. What was this feeling then? She couldn't answer that herself.

"My Queen!" The scorpion psychopath finally got to her head, "Is everything alright?" he asked with concern. Being a mad man, perhaps he had some feelings to consider. More like twisted feelings really. The others also looked at Salem with some concern.

"I…" She said before frantically pausing. Trying to dismiss the odd feeling, she let out a calm breath regaining her usual composure. "No need to worry. I'm fine. I just had this weird feeling come upon me. Thanks for asking, Tyrian. And thank you all for your worried faces."

"Are you sure, Master? Perhaps some rest would do the trick." Hazel suggested.

Arthur then threw in his suggestion, "No, green tea will help with dealing such weary thoughts."

As much as Cinder wanted to talk and express her feelings, she couldn't due to her tragic fight against the huntress called Ruby Rose. Her throat must've felt like thousands of needles stinging her. In any case, Salem could tell that Cinder was as much worried as the rest.

"Once again, thank you, my children. But such things are not necessary. Now that we have the power of the Fall Maiden," she said as her head motioned to Cinder before facing everyone else, "Our next target is Haven Academy. As we have discussed, each of you will perform your tasks. I will not tolerate failure. Such small troublesome issues will not withhold me from reaching my goals. You all are dismissed."

Though she tried her best to remain stout, she couldn't deceive the eyes of her underlings. Nonetheless, they obeyed and went forth to fulfill their duties. But before anyone could depart out of the Conference Hall, in that exact moment, a small, subtle but noticeable earthquake occurred. Everyone present obviously felt the little quiver. "A small earthquake? In the Land of Darkness? What's the meaning of this?" asked Mr. Watts. Indeed, what was the meaning of this? Salem feels unwell and now this random earthquake? It's as if a bad omen is on its way. "This is… unusual…." the dark queen thought to herself.

Considering what caused this little "earthquake" was simple. Just outside, not far from the Evernight Castle, somewhere in the Land of Darkness, a beacon of light struck the earth's surface. None were able to see this event as it happened in a blink of an eye. In an instant, the beacon vanished into thin air, leaving a blurry smokescreen. As the smokescreen became clearer, the four individuals were revealed. They have successfully landed on Planet Remnant.

"Oh! Finally! I can stretch my legs!" Vegito happily exclaimed after going through a sufferable one-hour journey.

While Vegito was doing some basic stretching, Gogeta took some time to observe the land. "This place looks terribly depressing." As far as the eye could see, all there was darkness. Trees were bare and sharp, ragged rocks were seen everywhere. You would be lucky if you didn't have your eyes poked out. Not even a single flower is seen in this vast desert of nothingness.

Realizing this, Vegito added, "You're right. If I were to judge, those two Gods did a pretty bad job. It's no wonder they abandoned this planet."

"Well, in one sense, you're correct," Beerus replied to the two. "But this place has been like this for the past few centuries." Ever since Salem became the immortal queen of despair, she had spread fear into all the inhabitants of Remnant. Creatures known as grim beasts caused devastating havoc on the lives of normal human beings, killing many.

"While one side of this planet is covered in hopelessness, the other side is full of hope. In the end, though, it's nothing but filth and garbage." By this, he meant both physically and figuratively.

"So that means there's still more of this planet to explore, huh?... If I may ask, why is it that you hate this place so much?" Gogeta questioned.

Beerus snorted back, "Is there really a reason for me to give? I don't care about such things, but the earth is an exception. If it's not to my liking, I'll destroy it without hesitation. Since my last visit, I was forced to come here on a whim. And here I am, back again."

While the three of them were talking, Whis had already prepared directions to Salem's location. Grabbing their attention, the celestial angel said, "It is time that we make our acquaintance with Miss Salem, Lord Beerus."

"I guess so. Lead the way, Whis." The group of four began treading through the dark lands toward a notable palace. As they were passing by, many grim beasts began to come into view, causing them to stop walking in their tracks. These beasts were unintelligent, although they did possess the power to overwhelm a huntsman or huntress. But these four were different.

"What are those creatures? They seem to be the only things roaming this area." Vegito was curious about these grim beasts as well as Gogeta. But Beerus and Whis already knew that these were the creations of Salem.

"Don't bother with them, you two. They're just annoying pests." As Beerus had said this, he struck eye contact with these beasts. Immediately, the black skeleton-bone-like creatures cowered in fear. Though having a brain the size of a mustard seed, they knew very well not to get in the way of this person. The quartet continued walking forward and the grim beasts fled from their presence. One step at a time, they proceeded until they finally reached the large castle. In front of them was a door to which Whis simply used his staff to open. The two Saiyans following behind Beerus, whom Beerus followed behind Whis, thought that this castle was very creepy.

"To be honest, I don't like this place at all. Seems uncomfortable."

"I can agree with you on that, Gogeta. I'd rather see the light side of things."

Finally reaching to the top, there laid another door before them. Just behind it was Salem and her associates. "This is it, Lord Beerus." Whis mentioned. While in the meantime, before they could enter, a screeching cry could be heard in the Conference Hall. Inside the room, Salem is struggling in pain. She did not know what was wrong with her. From the start, it was a minor headache, but this headache increased all the more which began to cause serious agony. This time it was even worse. She was carelessly tumbling from side to side. Throwing herself intentionally in order for the pain to go away. Her lackeys tried calming her down but to no use. Grabbing the side of her temples she tried to deduce the pain, but every effort was futile. It's as if her head was going to explode. Her mind then began to send flashbacks of a very specific person. One whom she had long forgotten but couldn't get rid of. Such trauma she had never felt since that time….

"WHAT IS THIS!?... WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH ME!... This feeling… THIS FEELING!... IT'S JUST LIKE THAT ONE TIME!" Grabbing her hair, Salem let out another cry of desperation, desperation to get rid of this madness. Sweat drops were crawling down her face. What was this intense heat she was getting at?

"Madam!... She's in serious trouble! We have to do something!" Arthur called out.

"Yes, but what exactly is causing her this excruciating experience?! This is not normal!" Hazel responded.

Tyrian, worried for his master, tried his best to assist her by using words of comfort. "My Liege! Please hang in there! Don't worry, we're here to help!

Despite her ability not to talk, Cinder made up for her actions. She quickly aided her Master's side, lifting her up and walking her back to her throne seat. This was the best she could do in spite of all the efforts the members could provide. Emerald and Mercury only watched what was happening. Still, the pain was there, but this time it had finally begun to subside moderately. Salem couldn't think clearly. Such a problem had caused her so much trouble. And for the first time, she actually felt tired. Resting her arm on the table, she leaned her forehead against her open palm. "Why is he being brought up into my mind now?"

Disrupting her thoughts, Hazel said, "Madam, please get some rest. We understand the roles you have given us, and we will do just that. But for your sake, please don't push yourself."

Salem looked up to be met with worried faces again. Everyone was surrounding her, except Cinder's two juniors. Though she didn't mind, Salem felt a little annoyed. As if she was a weakling in the appearance of her second-rate fellows. "Silence!" she commanded sternly. With that, everyone moved back into their seats. No one mentioned a word. A few minutes have passed by. "I don't understand…. This bad feeling is already putting a toll on my mind… I need to-"

Suddenly, on cue, the doors began to creak open slowly. A grinding noise protruded from the door as it echoed through the hall. Everyone's eyes were focused, suspecting something, or perhaps someone would enter in. Just who would dare enter into this room was the thought of each member. As if answering their question, multiple footsteps could be heard. The members of Salem's inner circle, including Emerald and Mercury, quickly got out of their seats and took their stances in front of the now opened door, preparing to face what was coming. Salem too got up and walked in front of the group, hoping to redeem herself from her earlier embarrassment. The footsteps became louder, indicating the individuals were approaching nearer.

"Just who are you? Who do you think you are to come into my palace!" Salem questioned with all authority. But no response was given. Then she, as well as her subordinates behind her, could make out the number of these individuals. There were four of them. The purple chandeliers that hung from the ceiling are what made this number possible. But their appearances made it unclear to identify due to the dark shadows that covered them in secrecy with every step they took.

"I ask again!" This time, Salem raised her voice. That of intimidation and threat. "REVEAL YOURSELVES OR DIE!" Still, no response.

But as the individuals drew ever closer, their appearance began to be made clear. Little did she know, fear had struck her heart in that instant. Leading the group of four was a purple being, or most likely, a purple cat. It had seemed her life was at stake, now that she caught a glimpse of that person. Slowly, but surely, she backed up little by little with her eyes fixed on him. She saw the glimmering earring that was on those bunny-like ears, she saw the jewelry necklace piece that was wrapped around his neck. She noticed those distinguishable, golden evil eyes that burned deep into her soul. She even recognized that devilish smirk that accompanied his face.

"N-No! T-This can't be happening! Why... WHY! Why are YOU here!" she screamed in despair.

Her subordinates couldn't help but wonder why she was acting this way. If there was a definite answer to her earlier pain, it was clear because of this one man. Her mind rushed back and forth while her subordinates could only watch in horror. Her instincts told her that death was right at her door. Suddenly, the recognizable voice rang out to her.

"Oh, poor you. It must be a shame. I was expecting more of a welcoming party. Instead, I hear loud cries coming from a mile away." With that said, the four individuals entered the room. There, standing before them were the two Saiyans, Whis, but most importantly, Lord Beerus.

Plucking his ear in annoyance to her whims, he sighed. Then, he gave a mocking smirk, "Long time no see, Salem." His tone sounded dreadful enough for her to break down. Salem fell to the ground, watching on toward her most fearful enemy.

"L-Lord B-Beerus!..."

It had seemed her plans had come to a halt for now.
