Armonie's POV

"Your idea is a good one Armonie," Albus said to me.

After finishing my classes I visited the headmaster and explained Severus's idea about me possibly talking with Harry about his Parseltongue. But in the end the decision was really up to Albus.

"Harry is confused right now, whatever decision you make Albus I'll accept"

I then looked at Fawkes who in all honesty looked like hell.

"Isn't his burning day due?"

"Yes and I hope it's soon"

I chuckled and gave Fawkes a scratch where his neck features were. Even on magical birds, there were always itchy feathers. I bid Albus farewell and took my leave from his office. I had passed one of the study rooms when I heard it.

Blood I want blood

It was the same voice I thought I had heard when I had been half asleep!

It definitely belonged to a serpent of some sort and I proceeded to follow the voice until it stopped. I was so riled up I didn't watch where I was going and I bumped into Harry.

"Oh my gosh, Harry I'm so sorry!" I apologized to the twelve-year-old.

"No worries Professor Straus I wasn't watching where I was going either"

The poor kid looked tired and stressed out.

"Heading back to the Common Room?"

"Yeah it was tense in the study hall"

"Tell you what I'll walk you to the Gryffindor entrance" I offered.

"I would very much like that Professor" Harry accepted.

I patted him on the shoulder and together the two of us made our way in the direction of Gryffindor Tower. Harry and I talked along the way to pass the time. However, when we came around the corner something horrible got our attention.

Nearly Headless Nick the ghost of Gryffindor Tower was floating as though frozen in time. Instead of his usual hue, he was grey. And on the floor was a completely petrified Justin Finch-Fletchley. I made Harry stay back while I went to examine Justin.

"Caught in the act"

Great now Argus was here. Immediately I returned to my feet and shot Argus a glare. Seeing my glare of doom Argus scurried off to find another staff member. Something else caught my attention along with Harry's.

Small spiders were crawling towards outside as though they were in a hurry. Argus returned with Minerva and I filled her in on what happened.

It looks like we gotta go back to Albus's office my phoenix said.

Yeah looks like it I agreed.

A short time later Harry and I were in Albus's office. The Headmaster wasn't present at the moment but he would come to meet with us soon.

"Professor Straus you know I didn't have anything to do with that attack" Harry informed.

"I believe you Harry but it wouldn't hurt to let Professor Dumbledore know that"

Since Harry was a Parselmouth he probably could hear the snake too.

"Come over here, Harry"

I was next to Fawkes and once more I was scratching behind his neck. Harry eyed the pitiful-looking phoenix in interest.

"Beautiful isn't he?"

"I guess he looks terrible, to be honest"

I chuckled because it was the truth Fawkes did look like crap. I then sensed Fawkes was about to burst into flames and I backed away. When Fawkes turned into fire it alarmed Harry.

"Harry, Professor Straus"

Albus stood on the second level above Fawkes's perch.

"Professor, sir, your bird there was nothing I could do he just caught fire"

"Oh and about time too, he was looking dreadful for days" Albus responded and Harry was even more confused.

"Fawkes is a phoenix" I explained. "He just had a burning no worries Harry"

Albus smiled before joining me and the black-haired preteen.

"They burst into flames when it is time for them to die and are reborn from the ashes"

Harry got closer to get a better look and from the ashes, a newborn Fawkes appeared.

Albus continued giving Harry more information about phoenixes and how their tears had healing properties. The door suddenly opened and in came a riled-looking Hagrid.

"Professor Dumbledore sir! Wait, listen!"

Hagrid rushed over completely out of breath.

"It wasn't Harry"

"I can back Hagrid up on that I was with Harry when we found Sir Nicolas and Mr. Finch-Fletchy"

"You two can relax I do not think Harry attacked those people"

I sighed in relief and Hagrid did the same. Albus then shot me a wink and I realized he was giving me his consent to tell Harry I was a Parselmouth. I gave the Headmaster a grin before turning to leave the office so Albus could talk with Harry alone. I dragged Hagrid behind me and I made sure he had his dead rooster because Albus didn't need his office to smell.

"Next time don't come charging into someone's office with a damn rooster you goof!" I reprimanded Hagrid once we were out of the passageway that led to Albus's office.

"I'm sorry Armonie but I was worried about Harry"

I shook my head and pat Hagrid on the shoulder.

Since I smelled like the dead rooster I took a shower back in my quarters. After grading some papers I poured a glass of wine. After what happened earlier I needed a small drink.

"So there's been another attack?" Severus questioned after he arrived.

"Yes and I was with Harry when we found the victims, I also heard the voice Kaa spoke about"

That revelation had Severus widen his eyes.

"Are you certain?"

"Yes love, I heard it with my own ears and it's definitely a snake of some sort but what I know not"

The Potions Master sighed.

"Why can't the school year run smoothly for once?"

His remark made me roll my eyes. I then flinched when I felt my back was sore. Taking notice Severus swooped in until he was behind me and he began to massage my back.

"Damn your good love I thought I was the only one out of the two of us who could massage someone"

Severus chuckled and I felt my womanhood becoming soaked.

Bastard, now I'm aroused

Admit it his chuckles are hot my phoenix teased.

I agreed with her because it was the truth. I suddenly jumped when I felt Severus's lips on my neck.

"I really need to smack you"

"I haven't done anything to warrant punishment" my mate answered in a dark tone. "And don't think I haven't noticed your arousal, Armonie"

At that comment, I did smack him and the target was his shoulder. Within my mind, my phoenix half laughed her ass off.
