A/N: Hello loves! I'm a very naughty author that's been neglecting you all and my stories. I've been busy and distracted and disappointing. I'm very sorry. My updating schedule is out of whack and I've just been posting one-shots for other genres. So here's an update for good measure, but it's short…Sorry and enjoy.
OOOOOOOOO
Avonlea moved around her room, putting away the last of her things and tried to ignore the comments from her friends as she did so. Cassius was lying on Carissa's bed, under Katia and next to Carissa while Avonlea tried to keep her thoughts focused on her task and not the fear that her mother would come in and overhear her friends talking about how many times they could sneak Snape and her together in this short visit. Get her as exposed to sex as possible. The last thing she wanted was for Morgana to come in and snap at her for having a relationship with the dark professor like that so soon.
Not before I'm graduated, Avonlea thought, frowning as she closed her last drawer and stepped back.
"Will you all shut up about that?" she asked, feeling her temper prickle as she rounded on them. "I will have sex when I want to have sex and I don't need you to keep talking about it."
"Someone's getting snappy," Katia commented with a smile.
"Someone needs to get laid," Cassius said, smirking as he squeezed her hip with one hand and stroked Carissa's back with the other. "That always cures the snaps. What are you girls thinking? Maybe tonight we get the two of them a private moment alone?"
Carissa shook her head and put her chin up on her fist. "Morgana won't let her have a moment of peace tonight. Unless she gets a headache again or we get really busy all of a sudden. Her precious daughter returns to the brothel for the first time since the summer. The princess. She's going to want to primp and preen you like crazy, Lea."
Avonlea made a face and dropped onto her bed. "I hate it when she fawns all over me. I've never been into the girly things. Not like her."
"It's not in our mindset," Carissa agreed, nodding her head. "If Mama didn't have to wear dresses all the time during business hours, she would be in pants like she loves to be in. We're tomboys. We love jeans and getting down and dirty."
"I'd like to get down and dirty with two beautiful ladies," Cassius said, poking her in the side.
"How about I leave?" Avonlea asked, throwing her legs over the side of the bed and rising to her feet. "It's obvious this place is only giving you all sex on the brain and has ever since you got your hormones unbalanced."
"Lea," Katia pouted, giving her puppy eyes. "Don't go."
"I'm leaving," Avonlea told the girl as she headed for the door to the bedroom. "I'll be back when you've got clothes back on." She pulled the door open and walked out, closing the door behind her. "Bloody idiots."
The blonde threaded her fingers through her hair and walked along the halls of the brothel, ignoring the looks of the men that came here to use the women that worked the place. She kept her distance from them and almost hissed at one when he reached for her, but another woman pulled him away from her and told him off, saying that Avonlea wasn't a working woman at the brothel. Avonlea stalked down the stairs and sought the comfort of her mate's thoughts with the distance of his.
His thoughts brushed against hers, dark and soothing, letting her know that he was there, even though he wasn't physically in the room with her. Avonlea let her breath out in a sigh and closed her eyes as she leaned back against a wall, wishing that she had better control over her emotions. She felt Snape's presence all around her and it almost felt like his hands were on her, smoothing over her shoulders, her sides, skimming lower to her waist and then…
Please…
Avonlea bit her bottom lip to stop her sounds as she felt a wave of pleasure hit her as her core burned with the sensations of being touched intimately. She opened her eyes slightly and saw no one there, but she could feel Snape's fingers on her. Obviously, this was a part of the bond that he had figured out on his own and so quickly. Avonlea leaned her head back against the wall and let the sensations build up in her as he took her over the edge, keeping her sounds in the back of her throat with difficulty, lest she be overheard even in this small empty room.
So wicked…she thought as she reached another high and felt her legs start to shake. I'm not going to last if he manages to figure out how to do more than this…Oh God!
She leaned more into the wall and bit harder on her lip as she felt her body shake from whatever Snape was doing to her from wherever he was in the brothel. Her legs threatened to give out from underneath her, but Avonlea managed to stay upright when she heard someone approaching. Just like that, the sensations ended and Snape's presence in the room seemed to fade from around her. But she felt his calm, darkness in her head, giving her strength.
"Avonlea? Avonlea?" her mother's voice was calling out and the woman poked her head into the room. "There you are, my beloved dear!"
Morgana was almost as tall as Avonlea, but slenderer and with larger breasts and more makeup. She had a low cut blue dress on to compliment her blue eyes and her blonde hair was pulled back in loose waves. Her eyes searched Avonlea's face even as she cupped the Veela-Halfling's face between her pale hands.
"You look tired and where on earth is all your makeup?" Morgana asked, putting a frown on her rouged lips. "You know a proper lady would never go out in public without doing her face up for the people, Avonlea. It's unbecoming."
"You said I was beautiful without makeup, Mother," Avonlea sighed, trying very hard to refrain from pulling her face form her mother's hands.
"You are, my dear. It comes from your Veela blood, but you can be so much more than just beautiful. You can be exquisite." Morgana patted her cheeks. "There can be time for that later though. I have some news for you, if none of those other whores haven't ruined it for me. Your father is coming to see you this week, Avonlea!"
"Really?" Avonlea asked, dully.
"Yes, Kraven wants to see you so badly. He wants to see what you've become and he wants to make up for the years that he missed out on." Morgana sighed. "I know that he's been a very naughty father by not being there for you over the years, but you need to learn to forgive him. He's going to try to be there for you now."
Yeah, if I prove I can be Veela enough for him, Avonlea thought bitterly, looking down at the amber necklace on her mother's neck.
"Avonlea, do you think you can do that for your old Mum?"
Avonlea lifted her blue eyes to meet her mother's. "I can certainly try, Mother. I don't know how well this conversation with Father will go over because I've never met him, but I'll try my best."
"You're such a good girl, I'm sure things will go smoothly," her mother said, hugging her tightly. She stepped back after a moment. "Now, you must tell me about this darling boy that has saved you from becoming a horrible vampire. I know he didn't come with you or I would have sought you out immediately."
Avonlea stared at her mother for a long moment, feeling trapped and panicked. Snape's presence was there in her mind again, bringing her comfort and she wanted to resist it, give it all back because what was the point?
Breathe…think.
"He's a fellow Slytherin, Mother," Avonlea said offhandedly, thinking on her feet. "And he's a bit dark, but good looking and quiet. You're probably never going to meet him because he's not the kind of person that likes to go out often. I'm surprised that I even go him to come around to me because he's rather distant to people."
She thought she could feel Snape's smirk at that and knew that she was in trouble with him for being slightly honest and making subtle comments about this boy that her mother would never meet. Her mother pondered what Avonlea said and smiled.
"Oh, I'm sure after you graduate, I'll meet this darling boy and then we'll all get along nicely." She giggled. "I'll bring him out of his shell and make sure that he takes care of you like a proper gentleman." She frowned. "Is he rich because I want to make sure that your needs are met, my darling, and you don't have to end up here as a working girl?"
Avonlea felt small as her mother's words hit her. "Mother, his money isn't my affair. I think he makes quite enough money to take care of both of us nicely."
"Just as long as you're provided for, I'm happy. I want you to have the best in everything."
Then leave me alone, Avonlea thought, wishing she had the courage to say those words aloud to her mother. Leave us both alone and let me be happy.
"Morgana, you have an appointment that needs your attention," the madam of the house said, making her presence known in the room.
Morgana turned around and looked at the voluptuous woman in black and red. "Yes, Madam." She looked at Avonlea once more. "I'll see you later, my darling. Keep out of trouble."
Avonlea made a face and watched her mother disappear from the room. The madam of the house smiled slightly and moved over to her, brushing back a strand of her blonde hair.
"Welcome home, Avonlea," she said, brown eyes flashing.
"Thank you, Madam Vexxa," Avonlea said, bowing her head slightly. She sighed. "I really don't like how she treats me."
"I know, my dear. No one likes her really, except for the men and we need them to keep the business running." Madam Vexxa put a hand on the Veela-Halfling's shoulder. "Dara told me about the little secret that you're keeping. It stays between us and the little friends you have. But if there's anything that I can do to make sure that you and Severus can have an easier time together here, let me know. Even if it means sending Morgana away for hours on a shopping trip to her favorite stores with other girls for whatever they want, I can do that. I have the spare money."
Avonlea stared up at the madam with wide eyes. "You'd really do that for us, Madam?"
Madam Vexxa nodded. "I really would, sweet pea."
Avonlea wrapped her arms around the woman's curvy waist and hugged her tightly. "Thank you, Madam. Thank you."
OOOOOOOOO
Snape stalked the halls of the brothel that night, paying no heed to working girls that moved about in their robes and made subtle comments to him. His thoughts were on his mate and seeking her out after the dinner where she had walked out quietly after her mother had apparently gotten on her nerves with all the picking on her appearance. His daughter and her partners had tried to catch her attention to get her back, but she had quietly slipped away with the permission of Madam Vexxa and hadn't returned, leaving a good half of her meal untouched.
She's in here, Snape thought, walking down a hall and towards a room.
The dark professor pushed open a door and found himself in a small private library. Avonlea was perched on a small sofa with a book on her lap next to a fire, but she was staring at the wall instead of the book and didn't seem to notice him. Snape closed the door and locked it with a spell before slipping his wand back into his pocket.
"Avonlea," he said, approaching his mate slowly.
"It's already begun," Avonlea whispered, still staring at the wall instead of looking at him. "The way she talks to me. If it's any indication of the way that this stay at the brothel is going to be, I'm not going to last very long. And when my father does eventually show up, I'm going to snap if he's any worse."
Snape moved to sit next to her, lifting her legs to sit and then draped them across his lap. He looked at her face and stroked her thigh, knowing without really knowing that she needed something to ground her in the physical world. To let her know that he was really there.
"You have me here," Snape told her. "And if it does get to be too much, you have two options. You can walk away or you can find your voice and speak back. Use that tongue of yours and find a fire to fight back."
Avonlea made a face. "I don't fight back."
"So I've noticed," Snape said, holding her gaze. "You have a tendency to only fight back when you have been overwhelmed and cannot stand the situation anymore." His hand smoothed over the curve of her thigh. "I would like to see more of that fire in you daily. More a fight, a voice."
"Working on it slowly," Avonlea muttered, shivering under his touch as she closed her book. She looked over at Snape. "How did you figure out how to do that sensation thing earlier today?"
Snape smirked and his dark eyes gleamed. "I am just a master at mind games, Avonlea."
Avonlea shivered as she felt a hand pass along her back and tossed her book aside. "You're making it very hard to stay focused on anything, Severus."
"Do you want to stay focused?" Snape asked, his eyes lowering to her lips for just a moment.
The Veela-Halfling shook her head and moved to climb onto his lap, straddling his thighs. "I can work on focus and control later."
Snape captured her lips with his in a heated kiss and squeezed her hips with his hands. Avonlea pressed herself against him and moved her hips forward slightly, waking him up slowly. Her thoughts were a chaotic rush and Snape didn't bother sorting through them. He kissed a path to her neck and bit down on her tender flesh, earning a soft moan from his mate's lips.
"Please," she whispered in his ear as he turned them and lowered her onto her back, his hands already reaching for the clasp of her jeans.
Snape's eyes held hers. "Ready for another lesson, Avonlea?" he asked…
OOOOOOOOO
A/N: Told you it was short. I think all my updates are going to be short from here on in because my update schedule is out of sync and my mind isn't in a good state? I'll try to work on this some more when I can and hopefully produce a longer chapter update. This story will live on. I promise. Let me know what you think. Please with Snape on top. Thank you! - Scarlet
