Harry looked out the window, as the snow slowly fell down, a soft white blanket filling the grounds of Hogwarts. Harry closed his eyes, the snow reminded him of last Christmas. The christmas where his wand broke, where he nearly got Hermione killed, all because he was to stupid to realise that Bathilda wasn't Bathilda.

When Hermione and Harry had first arrived in Godric's hollow, Harry had found the little village charming, the covering of snow, only serving to help with the picturesque image. As the midnight mass had finished, families had emptied out of the church and despite the late hour, kids had been in fun spirits as they ran up to friends and tried to hit them with snowballs.

As the last family had walked away from the church, most likely heading to a nice warm house, Hermione and Harry had continued walking, only this time, they were avoiding all the snowmen and snow angels that covered the street.

Laughter from outside made Harry open his eyes again, there below them, first years were laughing as they played in the snow.

Snowmen kept popping up as some of the eleven-year-olds pushed the snow around to create new balls. Other first years gave up after a few minutes as soon as the balls were big enough to throw, and soon the white grounds below was covered with kids playing around in the snow, Harry couldn't help but smile at the memory of Hermione, Ron, and him, playing in the snow during their first years.

It had been the first time that Harry had actually enjoyed the snow, as he usually spent his time shovelling the snow out of the way, or running away from Dudley and his friends, as they tried to overwhelm him with snowballs.

It hadn't been until Hermione and Ron had an argument about who could build the best snowmen that the three had gone outside. Both Harry's friends started to build their snowmen, rolling around the snow until they deemed the balls big enough to pile on top of the other.

In the end it had been called a tie, as Harry had to judge, but he refused to pick between his friends. It wasn't until Hermione and Ron started throwing snowballs, to see which snowman was stronger, that Harry joined it, mostly being safe from retaliation, as his friends were focused on bringing down the snowman instead of each other.

It wasn't until Hermione slipped, that they had changed to making snow angels, something that neither Ron nor Harry had previously done.

"It's weird seeing them so carefree isn't it?" Hermione's voice sounded behind Harry, bringing him out of his memories.

Harry nodded, "It seems like ages ago that it was us, down there, playing without a care."

Hermione moved closer to the window, "the last seven years have flown past haven't they?"

Hermione didn't expect an answer, she didn't need one, as both stood there gazing at the younger kids for a few minutes.

"It's our last year here. Do you want to go and pretend to be a kid again?"
