Chapter 3:
Burned Village:
Druig: "Phastos can you get her out of the well."
There, she was. A girl in green clothes lying unconscious on the bottom of the well. People might think she would be dead by now. But this time it was not the case. She was lucky that the Eternals showed up and found her. Otherwise, she would end like the rest. Dead and forgotten.
Phastos: "Sure. But can't Ikaris or Eros just fly down there and get here. Why do I have to do this?"
Ikaris: "If you start crying, I will happily save the girl for you, Phastos."
Phastos: "I'm not crying. Just fly down there already and get her up, Ikaris."
Eros and Ikaris were the only ones that could fly. It is a cool ability and useful in almost all situations. So naturally, any other Eternal was a little jealous of their teammates. Of course, they had other abilities, but flying was just one of the best to have as an Eternal.
Ikaris got the girl out of the well and laid her on the ground. She was wet and there was not a vestige of consciousness.
Kingo: "Ajak could heal her, but she's not here. Phastos you surely have one of your healing devices with you."
Phastos took a strange-looking device out of his pocket. Its looks were that of a radar gun, but it wasn't nearly the same. It can heal almost everything biological.
Phastos: "I'm going to heal her, but she will be unconscious for some time, okay."
He placed his hand before the girl. You could hear a click when he activated the device. First, it scanned the girl. Afterward, it started taking the best measures to secure the girl's survival. It took several minutes to complete the process, but it was a success.
Druig: "Well done, Phastos. Your tech is just the best."
Phastos: "Don't give me too much credit. Wait. You're sarcastic, right now, is that it?"
Druig: "I meant it, really."
Druig was known for being sarcastic, and for most of the Eternals, it's a little annoying.
The girl was saved. Now, she only has to wake up to be alive again. The only bad thing is that she is very exhausted and has maybe a trauma from the attack.
Ikaris: "We will bring her to Coda Village, she can stay there, surely."
Phastos and Druig carried the girl into the Umos and placed her into a seat. If she were alive, she would think how this seat can be this comfortable.
Everyone got in the Umos and drove back to Coda Village. The Umos was not powered by an engine and was not on the ground. It was moved by simple energy, and it could go faster than any car. On earth, this would be a UFO. In Falmart, it would be something beyond that. Some would say the carriage of a god. It was never seen in this world, only recently.
Alnus Hill, Eternals Base:
The Base was almost complete. It had only a few things to be done. Each Eternal has a single house that was in a row. At the end of the row is a big building and inside were the cafeteria and the kitchen. The buildings are all decorated in a white-gold color style. They were 3d printed houses, but nobody would even suggest that. They had a sharp roof like a claw and each had one window in it. The main building was the biggest of them all. It was on the opposite side of the cafeteria. It was more of a tower and provided a wide view of the surroundings. Its sharp end could scratch the clouds. A white tower with golden markings was all to say about this building. The Eternals are not a big fan of complex architecture, that's why they keep it simple, but astonishing for most of the inhabitants of Falmart.
Eros was currently flying around, scouting the area. All others were in the cafeteria eating some dessert that Gilgamesh made. It was from the planet named Earth, called Pudding. Nobody could refuse to eat something that delicious.
Ajak: "It tastes like the ones on Earth. You always astonish me with your cooking."
Gilgamesh: "You know me, Ajak. It's my hobby to cook. Staying here, where we are safe, that's what I like. And I can also make new recipes while I'm staying here."
Ajak: "That is what you like, but the duties come before us. This can wait until the mission is over."
Gilgamesh: "The last mission was for, 7000 years. I'm not going to wait that long, forget it."
Ajak: "I just mean, you just should be ready when you are needed."
Ajak has served the Celestials well and had greater knowledge than the others. That's why she advises the other Eternals.
Gilgamesh: "Any news from the Celestial Host? They said they would send one Celestial to this side? I mean, the base is secured, what else do they want?"
The decisions of the Celestial are always the most efficient and logical. Others may not see them as such, but from the point of the Celestials, it is the perfect path to go. Most are manipulated by their emotions, Celestials don't judge with their emotions. It would only lead to downfall.
Coda Village:
Village Chief: "The settlement has been completely wiped out!"
Many things came into the mind of the village chief that caused such a catastrophe, but never did he expect what the Eternals would say next.
Druig: "We saw a big red flying creature. From its mouth came fire that burned the village to ash and dust. If you know about this creature, would you be kind to inform us about it?"
When he heard that the creature could breathe fire, he knew exactly what it was. No other monster would be in this region except that one. A fearsome beast that destroys anything in its path.
Village Chief: "A Fire Dragon! You have seen a Fire Dragon burn the settlement down!"
Villagers: "No!" "It can't be!" "A FIRE DRAGON!" "What?"
This was a sign for the Village Chief. A sign to leave the village as soon as possible. The Fire Dragon was a feared monster in Falmart. Nobody would dare to fight it, except some apostles, but even they couldn't kill the creature. It was a menace to society and a threat to humanity if it isn't killed soon.
Druig: "This is a picture of what we saw. Can you confirm that this is the Fire Dragon?"
A hologram appeared in the air in front of the Village Chief. He didn't know what magic that was, but he didn't care at all.
Village Chief: "YES, this is it! The Fire Dragon is not good news for our village at all!"
Druig: "There is but one survivor of the village. If you can follow me, please."
The Village Chief agreed, and they started to approach the strange carriage. The Chief could not remember ever hearing of such a thing. Druig stopped before the vehicle, with a motion of his hand, the anomaly opened for him to be able to see in it. The Chief slowly approached and carefully appraised the elf sleeping on the seat.
Druig: "As you can see, we could only save one elf."
Village Chief: "Hooah? Just this girl? What a tragedy."
Druig: "Sadly, that is the truth. Could she stay here in your village until she heals up?"
Village Chief: "I am sorry. But we can't take in an elf. Besides, we must flee from here anyway."
Druig: "You are going to leave?"
The Chief took a large breath to say his next words.
Village Chief: "We have to. Once a Fire Dragon tastes the flesh of humans or elves, it will keep attacking villages and towns to satisfy its hunger."
While he was saying that, the villagers took their most useful items and started to prepare their carriages. They couldn't take too much because then they would be too heavy to be drawn by their horse.
Coda Village, Wizard's House:
The Wizard Kato lived in Cado Village, but his house was more isolated and not really inside the village. It was located in the forest near the village. It was a small house, but that didn't bother him, here, he had all the silence and peace he ever wanted.
Master Kato: "Dammit! Why are these books so heavyyyy! I'm gonna fa–"
The old man fell on the ground with all his books. It wasn't easy, like when he was a young man. And he hated it.
Lelei: "Master, we can't carry anymore."
Master Kato: "No! I want my books' dammit!" He was still on the ground, crying that he couldn't take more of his precious book with him. "Lelei, isn't there anything we can do?"
Lelei: "Certainly. I believe we should prioritize the most valuable books."
Master Kato: "That's right. You sure are smart, Lelei. But why now? Damn that Fire Dragon! Showing up fifty years early. Look at all the trouble it's caus-"
Lelei: "I wish you would sleep already."
Master Kato: "Huh? What do you mean by that? I'm not interested in mounting little girls like you! I'd rather mount a curvy woman like your sister. Hahaha." He started making weird poses, trying to mimic the curvy body of Leleis's sister. She certainly wouldn't like such a comment.
Lelei was not amused and shot her Master with her wind magic for his bad behavior.
Master Kato: "Hah! Stop! Magic is sacred! Do not abuse it! Ahhhh!" She didn't stop for two minutes until he realized his mistake. He is her Master, but still an old, perverted man.
After they stopped with their game, both sat on the carriage, ready to go.
Master Kato: "You sure can't take a joke."
Lelei: "I blame you as my educator, Master."
No more words were said. Lelei signaled the horse to move, but it couldn't draw the carriage because of its weight.
Master Kato: "He won't move. We must be carrying too much."
Lelei: "You were the one who said to pack all this. This was to be expected."
Master Kato: "Not to worry. I am a sorcerer, after all."
Lelei: "Isn't magic sacred? Something not to be abused."
Master Kato: "Umm"
Lelei: "Those were your words, Master."
Master Kato: "But.."
Lelei: "But in this case, we have no choice."
Lelei aims her staff forwards, at that moment the whole carriage lights blue, and it starts to levitate slightly above the ground. Without the weight of the carriage on the ground, the horse could simply carry the carriage forward.
Master Kato: "I'm sorry."
Lelei: "It's fine. I've always known this is simply how you are."
Coda Village:
The only path through the village was full of carriages. No one was left behind, only the things that were not needed would stay at their homes. Not all could accept this, so many tried their best to get most of their belongings into their carriages.
Master Kato: "Huh? What's going on ahead?"
Random Villager: "Master Kato! One of the carts was carrying too much. Its axle broke, and it's been blocking the way."
Lelei: "Master…Do you see that?"
Both were educated in the arts of magic, but never have they encountered this before. A man in strange blue armor and blonde hair flew to the broken carriage and lifted it back up.
Lelei ran to the scene and saw a girl lying on the ground, that was possibly hurt in the accident. There was also a horse, it was in a panic mode, nobody dared to go near it.
She approached the little girl, forgetting about the horse in front of her.
Lelei: "She's in danger."
Phastos: "Don't worry, I will heal her quickly. Mmh, it doesn't seem too bad. Maybe a fractured skull."
Lelei was watching the man carefully. She has never seen someone like him before. He had the skin of a dark elf but the body of a human. He had also some sort of weird armor, just like the flying man from before. Only the design and color were different, but the style was unique and not from this world.
The man took some sort of peculiar staff out and placed it before the girl. Then, a green light came out of it pointing at the girl's head. She studied every move the man-made and questioned what he possibly was doing. "I have to know this strange magic he is using."
Phastos: "Good. Not serious damage. This girl will be healthy in a day."
Childs Mother: "Thank you very much for saving my daughter. But I don't have anything to pay you for healing her."
Phastos: "It's fine. I don't need payment. You should go now, the wagon will soon be drivable again."
The mother and her child left and went to find their husband in all this chaos.
But the danger was still in the air. The horse was getting more panicked and started to stand up. Screaming endlessly, it went on two legs, aiming for Lelei.
Phastos. "Getaway girl!"
The horse was about to attack, but suddenly two bright yellow beams appeared and pierced the poor creature. The beam seemed to be made of light and could be compared to the light of the sun.
Ikaris: "Are you alright, girl?"
Lelei: "These strange people saved me. I have to know more about them, they have things I have never seen or read about. Good that they are not hostile towards me." "Yes. I think I am not hurt."
Saved by mysterious strangers was not a part of her ordinary day, but she has no complaints about the possibility to learn new things every day.
Bandit Camp, Unknown Location, 4 hours later:
Most of the remaining soldiers from the battle at Alnus became outlaws, bandits that kill and plunder for their survival. They had no honor left, it was lost on the day they fled the battlefield and committed treason.
Bandit 1: "It seems the whole Coda village is on the run."
Bandit Captain: "This is a good opportunity."
Bandit 2: "Do we have enough men?"
Bandit Captain: "Just find more. There are plenty of survivors left from the recent battle. With all of them, we could not only take a village but an entire town."
Bandit 3: "We could overthrow the local lord!"
There was a certain smile on the captain's face after he heard this idea. Becoming a lord was a dream of every commoner in Falmart.
Bandit Captain: "From a bandit leader to a lord… I like it!" *Slash*
A slash was heard and after a few seconds, the captain's head fell clean off on the ground. His expression didn't change, his facial muscles were still the same after his death. His smiling head on the ground shocked everyone present.
Bandit 1: "Hhaaaaah!"
Bandit 2 ":Hueeeeh!"
Bandit 3: "Whaaaa…"
Nobody expected an ambush, especially not at this place. They could hear a feminine voice laughing in the distance in a sadistic tone.
Apostle Rory: "Gentlemen, thank you for tonight. Thank you very much for giving your lives selflessly." The person was a little girl in a gothic dress, colored red. She had dark red lipstick and black hair. She was feared and loved in all of Falmart for being the Apostle of the war god Emroy. The most frightening thing about her was her massive ax, decorated with a snake going to the top of it. "The All-father is…" *Slash* "Very pleased with your actions. He now requests your presence. *Slash* *Slash*
In just 20 seconds, she has killed four men with her weapon. The others tried to escape or were frozen in their place by fear.
Apostle Rory: "I am Rory Mercury, Apostle of the dark god Emroy."
The name struck even more fear in the bandit's minds. Being a victim of an Apostle means certain death.
Bandit 4: "She is one of the twelve Apostles, Rory Mercury!"
Bandit 5: "She… She is wearing the Emroy shrine oracle uniform!"
Bandit 6: "Run for your lives!"
The bandits that were still alive ran for their lives, but deep in their hearts, they knew death would come, but hopefully quick and painless.
Apostle Rory: "I don't think so."
The demigod launched with incredible speed at the escaping convicts, swinging her ax and laughing like a total sadist. No bandit had the courage or the skill to fight her.
She threw her weapon at them and on impact with the ground, it was shaken, the bandits lost their balance and landed on the ground, becoming a once more easy target for the Apostle.
She jumped at her weapon, grabbing it and going in a circle around it, kicking every bandit near her.
There was only one left, a coward trying to get the Reaper's mercy, that he did not receive. *Slash*
Grasslands, Dirt Road, Next Day:
The villagers were already moving and with them the Eternals. They were at the front with their Umos to watch out for possible danger. If there were any, they would end it quickly.
Phastos: "Her vitals are steady. She should regain consciousness soon."
This was a good sign. Not only could they question what exactly happened in the attack, but they could also communicate with a species other than humans.
Kingo: "Really, that's good to hear. But man, this sucks.
Druig: "Do they even have a destination?"
Ikaris: "Apparently they don't. I don't know what they are thinking."
Druig: "They just want to survive even if it costs them their homes."
Kingo: "Man, this will lead to a very big tragedy, believe me, guys."
Phastos: "It seems they will keep going until they know the Fire Dragon isn't coming for their homes. "
Druig: "Yes, I could do it. I could command them otherwise. Ikaris, you see all these people. They will die either way if we don't help them."
Ikaris: "You don't see it? We are already helping them with our protection. More we cannot offer. I know you want to save them, but not in this way."
Druig was very empathic towards the humans, this was mostly so because he can read minds and control them, which means he can also feel their emotions that would influence him more and more.
Phastos: "Huh. A drone has picked up an incoming person. Let me project the image."
Inside the Umos, at the front, appeared a live video of a drone camera. They could see a girl in her teens walking in their direction. It had a massive ax and all she wore was red and black. They didn't know if this person was an enemy or a foe. From her looks, she wasn't that impressive, but a scan showed some interesting things about her.
Phastos: "Looks like a human, but is a subspecies. She has increased healing factor, and from her C14 atoms… She is 940?"
Ikaris: "We don't know of any species except ourselves that are similar to her. But she is not a real danger to us. We should inform the Celestials about this girl, and maybe take her to Alnus Hill for research."
Ikaris left the vehicle to confront the strange girl. He was hovering 1 meter above the Umos, and the other Eternals were in front of it, also facing the gothic girl.
Rory has seen many things in her life, but never such a flying black carriage. And its golden markings made it look even more special to her. But the most interesting part was the strange beings around it. Unbelievably, there was one flying, in blue armor with golden markings, that seem to be on every armor from them. The others were also appealing, they all had unworldly golden weapons in their hand that came from nothing. If she fought them, it would be very interesting she thought. "I have never seen such a flying thing?! And these beings, should I fight them? I didn't have a good fight for a century by now." She was a foolish girl to even think about such a thing. Fighting these guys was a death wish signed by the devil and god himself.
Apostle Rory: "Where do you come from? Where are you going?"
Kids: "It's the Oracle!"
The children tried to run towards the girl but were stopped by a yellow barrier.
Thena: "Go back, there you are safe!"
The kids followed her order and left, they wouldn't want to walk into a fight.
Apostle Rory: "Why do you hinder the kids from reaching me? I don't like when people stop me from meeting with children."
Ikaris: "Are you an enemy? Who are you exactly? Do you want to hurt these villagers here?"
There was an uncomfortable mood in the air, they all waited until the girl answered Ikaris.
Apostle Rory: "If you want to know. I am Rory, Apostle of the war god Emroy. I won't harm innocent, only when my master wants it. Now strangers, can you say the same to me. You don't seem like anything I ever have seen. Maybe you are the real treat after all Hahaha."
Ikaris: "I am Ikaris, we are Eternals, I won't deny that we come from beyond the gate at Alnus Hill. We are here to research the land and the people. There is no killing in our mission for now."
Apostle Rory: "Beyond the gate huh. My god Emroy ordered me to travel to Alnus and scout for the enemy. These are surely a thought bunch of people to fight. And what did he say? He was an Eternal meaning an Immortal. Is he just like me? Are these all Apostles from the other side?" "Really. Eternals you say. What is an Eternal exactly if I may ask?" "One has to be either stupid or brave to call himself immortal."
Ikaris: "I can only say that we serve the Celestials, we were created by them to balance the universe and fight the deviants." "I gave her the short answer, I hope she stops asking more questions, I don't have the time for this."
He confirmed what she was thinking the moment he mentioned Celestials. For her, it was another word for god. So there must be the Apostles of the other world.
Apostle Rory: "You serve gods, that means you are Apostles right? I serve the god Emroy and am one of the twelve Apostles, what god do you serve?"
Ikaris: "I don't know the term Apostle, it must be some important religious figure. It would be hard to explain to you everything, you only have to know that we are in terms of strength stronger than you. If you tried anything funny, you would be killed in an instant, do you understand."
The Apostle was never talked to in such a way in her life. Nobody would dare, but these strangers did it because they were aware of her and their power.
Apostle Rory: "Such harsh words, I would love to fight you someday, but not this time. I would like to meet your gods, could I accompany you to Alnus Hill?"
Phastos: "Ikaris, it's even better if she comes herself, now we don't have to kidnap her or something for the Celestials to study her."
Ikaris knew what risk this girl could bring, but he knew the Celestials would like to make contact with a human-eternal hybrid or whatever she is.
Ikaris: "Fine, you will follow us. But no-fault tricks do you understand, child!"
Apostle Emroy: "You should know I'm probably older than you, boy."
Ikaris: "Can you top one million years. I won't repeat myself."
She had nothing more to say. One million years was not even in her numerical alphabet, but she knew it was beyond 1000 years. Believing him was out of the question. One who says that is a guaranteed liar.
Apostle Rory: "Let's leave that aside, big man. This is a strange carriage, how do I get inside, and how does this even move?"
With a snap of Ikaris fingers, the door opened and Rory went inside, inspecting the strange vehicle.
Apostle Rory: "Wow, so comfortable. I have never seen such material, and it's so soft haaa…"
The seats were so comfortable, she stopped speaking and admired the softness of it.
Druig: "You may sit there, next to the elven girl. Just don't touch anything here, ask first."
Apostle Rory: "Sure, old man. Hehehe."
The tension started to wear off and the caravan started moving again. The Eternals were concerned that the villagers didn't have a location, but didn't try to tell them otherwise.
Roche Hill, 2 hours later:
Random Villager: "It's Roche Hill, we walked that far?"
They weren't in the grasslands anymore, this was a desert, there were only rocks and bushes.
Kingo: "The scenery started to change, huh?"
Phastos: "Yeah, we're pretty far from the village now."
On their right side was a rock wall, it was a couple of meters high. This wasn't a desirable place, if someone would attack them from the left, they would be surrounded with no chance to escape.
Phastos: "This isn't good, my drones detected a large creature coming directly at us! Shit, it's coming fast, probably this Fire Dragon that wants some more snacks."
Ikaris: "Not good. I hope you have a way to protect the villagers from its fire while we fight it. We have experience with deviants and this one is no different. It only wants to kill, pure instincts, no intelligence."
Druig: "I will help Phastos with securing the people, or I could try to mind control the creature."
Kingo: "That is one of your worst plans. Control this beast, seriously, then why did we not try this with the deviants? Fighting this thing will not be easy, but I, the mighty Kingo will destroy it!"
Thena: "You mean I will destroy it when I stick my spear in its head."
Ikaris: "Phastos and Druig will protect the villagers while I, Kingo, Thena, and Makkari will fight this thing. Makkari will try to distract it for Thena and Kingo to get closer. Now, let's go before it arrives."
Rory heard their plan, and she was astonished that they could so calmly talk about fighting the Fire Dragon, a mighty creature feared by all in Falmart.
Not wasting any time, the Eternals left the Umos and went to their positions. They wanted the Fire Dragon away from the carriages, so they waited 100 meters away from them for the Fire Dragon to attack them.
Ikaris: "I can see it, 30 seconds until impact, be ready."
Kingo: "It's going for the villagers, I hope Phastos is ready for it."
The Fire Dragon was an enormous beast, it landed on top of the rock wall and breathed fire on the carriages underneath it. But Phastos and Druig were already prepared. Phastos put up an energy shield to stop the fire from burning the villagers and Druig controlled the minds of the horses and villagers to calm them down not to run away.
Kingo: "Nothing less expected from the engineering genius."
Ikaris: "Be ready, I will try to get his attention."
Ikaris shoot out his laser beams towards the dragon, it hit the beast at its head, it started to back away and used its hands to protect itself against the heat. But the pain suddenly stopped, and the dragon used this to fly to the one that attacked him. It was in a rage and wanted to kill this pest that dared to hurt him. It flew towards them and landed 50 meters away from them, thinking that its fire could kill them. He started to heat his breath when suddenly Ikaris flew to it with immense speed and punched its head with super strength. The creature was paralyzed after the punch, never has it felt such strength, only from other beasts of similar size.
Ikaris: "Now! Attack!"
Makkari went in front of the dragon to get its attention, and she got it. It tried to get her with its arms, but with no success. She escaped every time, and the beast tried and tried not knowing that it was impossible to catch her. While the dragon was busy with Makakri, Thena and Kingo went into its range, trying to mount the head. The beast didn't see it coming, he was surrounded from all sides. Ikaris was cycling it and lasering his wings, Makkari kept him busy, and Kingo shot energy beams at its head, forcing it to fall. Thena used this chance to jump high and pierce the skull. She materialized a spear while in the air, using her momentum to strengthen her impact.
Thena: "This is your end."
Her weapon went through its head, the creature screamed in pain, it wasn't expecting to be killed as it was on the highest order of the food chain. The Fire Dragon lost all motion, it was dead, nobody expected this.
Thena: "It wasn't even a real challenge, it could only spit fire nothing more."
Kingo: "You know what happens now? We killed a legend! We will become famous for this."
Ikaris: "This is not something we need, but it can't be stopped, the villagers saw us fighting the Fire Dragon and having the advantage."
Thena: "Maybe they fear us now, nobody is stronger than a Fire Dragon than a bigger monster in their eyes."
Kingo: "I don't think so. We saved them, they will thank us for that not hate us."
Ikaris: "And this girl has now seen our power. I hope she will not try to fight us now that she knows how strong we are. In their eyes, we are godlike beings that kill dragons in mere minutes."
Apostle Rory tried to keep her mind together because what she just saw was impossible. Not even she could only harm the Fire Dragon, but these could each kill it even on their own. This made the situation only more interesting for her, she wanted to feel their power, maybe challenge one of them to a fight. "This power is amazing, not even I have such strength. This is getting more fun every second, maybe I should seduce one of them haaaa…" She was lost in her mind with these ideas, but she knew she had to know more about them.
The Eternals returned to the villagers that were in a state of shock and happiness, to be able to live after an attack from the Fire Dragon was not realistic, but they just experienced it. These powerful beings saved them with little trouble, the common villagers didn't have the mental capacity to process all this.
Village Chief: "T-Thank you very much for saving us! Because of you, not one had to die, we are truly thankful. Now we will head back to our village, knowing the dragon is dead we can safely know that there is no danger anymore."
Ikaris: "We only did our task, and killing the Fire Dragon was one of them. I wish you safe travels back home, Village Chief."
Village Chief: "May the god's grace be upon you Eternals."
The villagers went on, but the kids were still waving back to the Eternals, saying goodbye one last time.
Rory, Master Kato, and Lelei decided to accompany the Eternals to Alnus. During the fight, the elven girl woke up and saw the whole thing happening. Her name was Tuka, a high elf, the difference between an elf and her is that she has a much longer lifespan,, you could say she is to a point half immortal. She told them what happened in her village and that her father died in the fire. They couldn't just let her alone, so they decided to take her to Alnus.
Ikaris: "All aboard! We're heading back to Alnus!"
The Eternals and the others were currently sitting in the Umos. Lelei wanted to learn more about this carriage while her master was sleeping like a baby. No old man could withstand the softness of these seats, it was just too much for him. Rory was watching Ikaris, for her, he was the most interesting of the team, his strength and abilities had attracted her the most. Tuka the high elf was just sitting, possibly thinking about what happened so far in her life.
Phastos: "You want a drink?"
Lelei, Rory, and Tuka nodded to the question, not knowing what liquid they would receive.
Phastos: "Here, that's orange juice, it's from the planet Earth. It's very sweet you should try it."
The three took the glass with curiosity but proceeded to drink the orange drink. The moment it entered their mouth, they could feel it, the sweetness was out of this world, never have they felt such a pleasant taste.
Apostle Rory: "I can't get enough of this, it's soooooo good. You really aren't from Falmart."
Lelei: "How do you make this, I would like to know the secret behind this."
Tuka: "Yummy! This tastes excellent, can I have more please?"
Phastos: "Sure, here's a whole bottle of this stuff, drink how much you want."
All three of them grabbed the bottle, trying to win it for themselves, it was just too good to share. The Eternals were satisfied with their reaction, and it was quite funny to watch them fight over some orange juice.
Pantheon of the Gods:
This was a dire situation for the deities of Falmart. One of the most feared creatures was not hurt but killed by the newcomers. Now, they knew their power exceeded a Fire Dragon, and it was frightening them.
Flare: "Possessing a strength greater than a Fire Dragon, is indeed concerning."
Zufmuut: "If we don't stop them now, they will win the people's trust and bring disorder to the world. They are more powerful than we expected, from what we have seen they possess more power than an Apostle."
Palapon: "Heresy, they dare to possess more power than our Apostles, preposterous!"
Flare: "The twins have tried to research their power during the fight against the Fire Dragon, they discovered that these beings can manipulate energy to their will."
Palapon: "Impossible, the only ones that can do that are we! The gods only the gods can do this!"
Zufmuut: "But they can also do this, and they also possess a physical body. I wouldn't expect them to be the gods of the other side."
Flare: "With their power, yes. But they don't act like ones, they go from village to village, researching the people and the environment. Even with their great power, they are just servants it seems."
Never would a god dare to speak such words, to think someone possesses equal power as themselves and for them to be only servants, was heresy to them.
Palapon: "What are you thinking, Flare? We are gods! To say someone has equal power, thhh, you commit treason against yourself and the twelve gods!"
Zufmuut: "He is right Palapon. The only thing protecting us from them is that we don't exist in the physical realm, there is no way they will reach us, and that is what makes us gods remember."
Palapon: "Yes, everything in the material realm can't be a deity."
Flare: "Let's not think if they are divine or not, they are our enemy for the moment, and we have to stop them from conquering our world."
And that's it!
I hope you liked this chapter and this will be the normal length for most of the next ones.
