Saving a Train

A week later…

"Okay, I haven't been spotted or followed so far," Gavin said as he walked out through the forest in the very early morning, his backpack on his back. "Good," he continued with a smile as he walked, before soon reaching his hideout.

He then set his backpack down in the cave, before he changed form, and then changed clothes. "Alright then," he said as he turned and headed out the cave. "Time to train."

As he stretched and then started to train, he thought to himself, 'I hope this training is helping me. I want to get better in this form.'

A few hours later…

Gavin sighed as he sat on a log near the clearing, looking out at a small pond with a smile on his face as he took a break from training, back in his human form. "Ah, such a nice view," He said as he sat there, before he heard a loud rumble as well as the very loud squeal of brakes from nearby. "What the heck was that?!" He exclaimed as he turned to where the sound had come from, before he pulled out his phone and pulled up the GPS. After zooming out of his location a little bit, he saw that a decent distance from him was a set of train tracks that exited out of a tunnel and went along the edge of the forest for a while. "Huh, so those were train brakes," he muttered as he looked at the direction the tracks were in, before he turned and headed back to the cave, where he then turned back into his Lucario form and put on the cloak and shorts. "Well, wouldn't hurt to see what's caused it to stop," he continued, before he walked out of the cave and jogged in the direction of the tracks.

Twenty minutes later…

"Alright, so there's the tracks," Gavin muttered as he walked along the inside edge of the tree line, staying out of sight from anyone on the tracks, before he spotted the source of the rumbling noise and train brakes up ahead. "And there's the train."

Said train was sitting on a wooden trestle bridge, while a very large pile of rocks sat on the track before it. "Must have happened due to all that rain we got yesterday," Gavin continued as he looked at the rocks, before he heard engines heading towards their direction, prompting him to turn and look down the dirt path that separated the track from the forest.

Coming towards them was Ryder on his ATV, Marble in her bulldozer, and Reggie in the green truck he'd seen at the Lookout, with said truck now having large black tires and a recycling bin on the left side.

As he stared at them, he then heard a young female voice speak up from the train. "Ryder and the Paw Patrol are here!" The familiar female voice said, prompting him to turn around and look at the train.

'Katie?' Gavin thought with surprise upon seeing the young girl looking out the window of the train. 'Cali?' He continued when he saw the cat as well.

Katie was a 4 foot 6 inch tall 10-year-old girl with pale skin, blue eyes, and long blonde hair that was held in place by a red hairband with two pink hearts on it. She was wearing a pink striped shirt, blue pants that were almost short enough to be called shorts, and purple shoes. She helped run the beauty parlor in Adventure Bay.

Cali was a 5 foot tall, 19-year-old anthro female cat with short lavender-gray fur. She had white patches on her face, the tip of her tail, her hands, and on her chest. She had a pink nose, gray blue eyes, large FF-cup breasts, a large ass, a flat belly, and somewhat thick thighs. She was wearing a lavender tank top that hugged her chest, lavender shorts, a small lavender bracelet with a brass bell on it, and light brown sandals.

She was Katie's adopted sister and helped her run the beauty parlor at times. She tended to be a bit impulsive and was thus often treated more like a little sister by Katie than a big one. She was also a bit of a klutz, but not to the same extent as Marsha. She also tended to get exasperated, and when she spoke, her voice was somewhat sly-sounding.

'What are they doing on the train?' He thought as he looked at them, before the Paw Patrol pulled up and stopped their vehicles. As they did so, no one noticed Cali head out the rear of the train, having spotted a seagull with a bag of potato chips land on the top of the train.

"The tracks are okay," Ryder said after looking at the train tracks for several seconds. "We just need to clear away the rocks fast, and get the train off the bridge."

"Marble on the double!" Marble replied happily before she let out a little bark and drove the bulldozer forward. As she started to lift up some of the rocks, Reggie turned her truck around and opened the rear door on it so that Marble could put the rocks in it.

"I'll check the damage to the bridge," Ryder said as they worked, heading over to his ATV as he spoke. "I don't know how long it can hold the train," He continued before he drove down the nearby slope towards the supports of the bridge.

'I better go see if he needs help,' Gavin thought as he quietly followed Ryder through the trees, making sure to stay out of sight as he went.

Meanwhile, Cali was carefully crawling towards the seagull, who was munching on some chips from the bag. As she did so, her stomach growled with hunger, making her sigh and frown as she looked at it. It also caught the attention of the seagull, who stared at her for several seconds before it resumed eating, prompting her to crawl towards it again. She stopped once more when it turned to look back at her, before it resumed eating after a few seconds, making her grin as she prepared to pounce on the bag.

A few seconds went by, before she leaped at the seagull, who was just starting to take off with the chips again. She fought with the seagull for the bag of chips, pulling on them hard as it tried to fly away with them.

And soon, the seagull lost its grip on the chips, as did Cali, and the bag of chips fell over the edge of the train and down into the river below, which made Cali let out a sad "Mreow." The seagull landed next to her and looked at the river as well, a sad look on its face.

"Uh oh!" Ryder said as he brought his ATV to a stop next to the supports of the bridge, a worried look on his face. "Reggie! A support beam is cracked!" he exclaimed, while Gavin looked at said support beam. The beam had a very long and large crack running right down the middle of it, with a couple cracks spreading out to the sides near the base.

'Yikes! That is definitely not good!' Gavin thought as he stared at the support beam. 'They need to get the train off the bridge as soon as possible. If they don't, the beam could crack more, or even break!'

"The trestle is cracked!" Ryder said again after a few seconds into his microphone. "If it breaks, the train will fall! We need something to support it."

'Hmmm, "something to support it?"' Gavin thought as he rubbed his chin, before he looked back up at where Reggie and Marble were. He then spotted some logs sitting on the ground, and grinned. 'Those could work,' he thought. 'They could be propped up against the beam and tied against them to keep it in place. Now then, how do I let Ryder know that?' He continued as he looked back at the boy, before he looked at the logs again.

After thinking it over for a couple minutes, he grinned. 'I'll toss a rock at one of them,' He thought before he looked around for a suitable rock, and soon found one that fit nicely in his palm. 'Alright then, here goes nothing!' he continued, before he pulled his hand back and then threw the stone at a nearby log.

He grinned as he saw the stone fly right at the log and hit it with a loud "THUNK!" before he stepped back deeper into the woods and got down low.

"Huh?" Ryder said with confusion as he turned to where the sound had come from, before grinning upon seeing the log. "I've got it! One of those logs by the road should work great! Reggie, can you bring one down?"

Gavin was close enough to Reggie that he could hear her and see her say, "I won't be able to. My truck can't make it down there Ryder. Too steep!"

"We need an extra set of paws!" Ryder said before he pulled out his phone and held it sideways. He then pressed on the screen. "Siren, I need you and your truck at the bridge as soon as possible."

"I'm on the case!" Siren replied from the phone, before it went silent.

As Gavin watched Ryder head back up to where the logs were and start trying them up with some rope he had, Cali, who was still on the roof of the train, heard the seagull let out another cry, catching her attention. This time, the seagull had a large loaf of bread with it, and started to peck at one end.

Cali smirked at the seagull as she got an idea. She then started to slowly scoot towards it, making sure to stay as low as possible.

Soon, Siren arrived in her police car, turning off the siren as she came to a stop in front of Ryder and Reggie, while Marble continued to move rocks off the tracks. Siren's car now had red and blue lights over the rear wheel wells, as well as four orange traffic cones in the back and two side-view mirrors that had swung out of the sides, red and blue lights on the fronts of them. Four black tires with silver stars on the hubcaps now filled the wheel wells, while a small rectangular windshield sat at the very front.

"Alright Ryder sir, what do you need?" Siren asked her leader.

"We need your winch to lower this log to the bridge," Ryder replied as he looked down at the bridge. "We'll use it to hold up the broken beam."

"I'm on the case!" Siren said with a nod as she hopped out of her vehicle. She was now wearing a blue police hat with yellow trim, a black bill, and a silver Paw Patrol symbol on the front. A dark blue vest with a black collar sat on her torso, with three yellow chevrons on her shoulders. The top ended right at her waist, while a pair of dark blue shorts hugged her hips and thighs a bit. A pair of dark blue sneakers with yellow laces sat on her feet, while a large dark blue backpack sat on her back, with a red and blue emergency light on either side and a yellow police star and badge on the back. She then turned to the winch and went "Ruff Ruff!" causing the bone-shaped hook to point outwards.

Siren then grabbed the hook and attached it to the hook Ryder and Reggie had attached to the rope on the log.

"Perfect! Let's go!" Ryder said with a smile, which prompted Marble to let out a small "Ruff!" before she drove the bulldozer over and started to push it down, while Siren hopped back into her car to operate the winch.

'Good teamwork,' Gavin thought as he watched the log head over to the edge of the slope and get lowered down to the ground below, while Reggie and Ryder made their way to the supports.

"Just a little lower," Ryder said as he watched the log go down, while Cali was startled by the seagull, who had had enough of her, and flew away.

"Perfect!" Ryder said as the rope went slack, while the log rested against one side of the broken trestle, he and Reggie having put it into position. He then unhooked the winch. "Look's great! That'll hold until we get the train off the bridge."

"All the rocks are cleared up here, Ryder!" Marble called down to them.

"Thanks Marble!" Ryder called up to her, before he pulled out his phone and tapped on it. "Katie, tell the engineer that the tracks are clear. Let's get this train off the bridge!"

"I will Ryder, but I'm worried."

'Worried?' Gavin thought with confusion, with Ryder saying it.

"Cali's missing!" Katie continued, which made their eyes widen. Cali currently was finishing up licking her hands and rubbed them once she was done as she looked at the bread. She then went to grab it, only for the seagull to come back and take it from her, which saddened her while her stomach growled with hunger.

Then, the train started to move, as the engineer had overheard Ryder on the phone.

"Wooaah!" Cali said with surprise as she rolled back from the sudden start and fell over the edge of the train car. She managed to stop her fall by grabbing onto the edge of the roof with her fingers and claws. She then looked down to see if she could get down, and saw that only the coupling connecting the two cars was visible, and she couldn't get into the cars by the doors as they were locked.

Unable to get out the situation by herself, she pointed her head up at the sky and yelled "Help!"

"Did you hear that?!" Siren said as she looked at Ryder.

"It's Cali!" Ryder stated with alarm as he looked at the train, which was starting to slowly pick up speed. "Siren, can you-"

"I'm on the-Huh?" Siren said with confusion as they spotted a cloaked figure running towards the train from the trees quickly. "Who is that?" She continued as the figure ran over to the train and down it, before it stopped at one of the spaces between two cars and reached out two cloak-covered arms.

A few seconds later, the figure pulled its arms back, revealing Cali was now in them and being carried bridal style.

"Cali!" Katie said with a smile upon seeing her older sister. "There you are!"

Upon seeing where Katie was, the figure started to run with some difficulty, and quickly reached one of the open windows, before sliding Cali into the car through the window feet first with some difficulty.

"Thank you for saving her!" Katie said as she hugged her older sister, who was now on the floor. At that, the figure nodded, before it turned and started to run back to the forest.

"Hey! Don't go!" Katie called out to the figure, before sighing when it reached the forest and disappeared. "I wanted to know your name," She continued as she hugged her sister, while the train went down the track.

"Who was that?" Reggie asked Ryder, who had a surprised and confused look on his face.

"I have no idea," Ryder replied. "But whoever it was, they saved Cali."

"That was quite nice of them," Marble said with a smile.

"I guess," Siren replied, looking slightly upset that she hadn't been the one to save Cali.

"You think we'll see them again?" Marble asked Ryder.

"Maybe," Ryder replied as he looked at the forest. "Just maybe."

"Dammit! That was super risky!" Gavin muttered to himself as he walked up a stream for a bit, making sure to get his entire body covered in water before he eventually got out of it on some rocks and hurried back to the clearing and cave. "Super super risky!" he continued, before sighing. 'But Cali needed help,' He thought to himself. 'I couldn't stand by and do nothing.'

When he got back to the clearing, he changed back to normal and redressed before he started to head back to town. 'It was nice seeing them work together to save the train,' He thought to himself. 'Even though I had to show them the log without being seen. I wonder if I'll have to help them again?'

After several seconds of thinking, he smiled a bit. "That would be nice," He muttered to himself. "Helping them save people. Perhaps that's what I can do now that I can become…whatever that thing is."

With that, he smiled, and he continued heading back to town, feeling a bit hungry.

A few days later…

Gavin sighed as he walked back towards town in the afternoon, having just done some more training in the forest. As he walked, he thought about what had happened over the previous days. First thing that had happened was that he had been told by Marble that they had encountered a cloaked figure who had saved Cali, and he had feigned surprise quite well. Then, the next night, right as he was about to go raid some more metal from them, he had been stopped when the Paw Patrol was called out to a mission to the lighthouse, with the other dogs remaining awake in the backyard just in case Ryder needed them. And finally, yesterday Mayor Goodway had to be rescued during a hot air balloon race involving mayors from other towns, including the conceited Mayor Humdinger of Foggy Bottom.

With all the excitement and his training, he hadn't been able to eat any metal for about four days now, and he was feeling very hungry for some.

'Hopefully tonight I can get some metal to eat,' He thought as he walked down the street, his stomach growling with hunger. Then, he stopped when he saw a railroad crossing up ahead. "That's not good," He said upon seeing a cargo car sitting across the tracks, while some of the rails were torn out and twisted and bent. Standing next to it with a worried look on her face was Mayor Goodway. "Not good at all." 'The new Just Dance: Pup Pup Boogie 2 game I ordered is arriving on the train later today,' He continued, before he started to hear sirens approaching, making his eyes widen. "Shit!" he quietly cursed, before he hurried over to a nearby alley and ducked into it, peeking out once he was inside. "I can't let them see me with this backpack."

A few minutes later, Ryder, Siren, and Marble pulled up in their vehicles and came to a stop before the mayor.

"You're here!" Mayor Goodway said with relief, before she turned and gestured to the crossing. "This is a disaster! The track's bent," She continued as Ryder hopped off his ATV and hurried over to the crossing. "This cargo car is too heavy to move! And the train's due in just a couple hours!"

"If anyone can fix it in time, it's the Paw Patrol!" Ryder said to Mayor Goodway. "Siren, can you move the boxcar so we can repair the tracks and let the train through?"

"Will do Ryder sir!" Siren replied before she drove her truck up a bit and hopped out once it was parked again. She then barked, making the bone-like hook extend outwards, before she grabbed it and connected it to the coupling on the boxcar. Once it was secure, she headed back to her vehicle and started the engine, before she started to back up.

Soon, the line was taught, and her wheels squealed for a few seconds, before, with a loud metallic screech and squeal, the boxcar started to move off the tracks. She continued to back up until the car was a decent distance from the tracks, and then stopped.

"Good job Siren!" Ryder said with a smile, while Marble got out of her vehicle and came over to look at the rails closely.

"Hmmm, these rails are pretty bent," She said as she looked at them. "And look, this tie is-Oof!" She was cut off as she tripped over a piece of broken railing and landed on her front.

"Marble, are you okay?" Ryder asked her with concern, while Mayor Goodway gasped with worry. Marble slowly got up, and whimpered as she held her right wrist.

"Sure! I'm good," She replied. "I'm great! Yeowch!" She continued as she moved her hand a bit, which sent some pain through her. She then sighed. "I'm hurt," She said. "I think I sprained it."

"Well, we better send you to Katie's so she and Cali can treat it," Ryder said as he pulled out his phone. "I'll call the engineer and tell him to stop the train," He continued as he tapped the screen.

The engineer of the train was currently looking straight ahead at the tracks, while his phone sat next to his elbow on the window ledge. Said phone then began to ring, with Ryder saying "Hello? Hellooo?"

Unfortunately, the engineer couldn't hear him due to the wind blowing, and accidentally/unknowingly knocked his phone out of the train and onto some rocks, breaking it.

"The train engineer didn't answer," Ryder said after several seconds of saying "Hello."

'Oh boy,' Gavin thought upon hearing that. 'That's not good,' He continued as he watched Ryder take Marble and lead her away, but not before telling Siren to take the boxcar down to the train station and return to the crossing. 'Not good at all. Marble's probably sprained her wrist, and she won't be able to use her bulldozer to move the broken rails, so someone else will have to drive the bulldozer,' He thought as he stared at the crossing. 'But who? It can't be Ryder. He's a bit too small. Hmmm, maybe Siren? She's big enough.'

As he looked at the metal rails, his stomach growled with hunger, and he hummed as another idea came to him. 'Hmmm, I doubt they'll be able to reuse those rails,' He thought as he looked at them closely. 'They are pretty bent up. And I am pretty hungry. But do I want to risk showing myself to them again?' He continued.

He thought it over for a few minutes, before he sighed. 'I'll do it,' He thought as he stepped back and went further into the alley, before he changed into his canine form. 'They could use my help,' He continued as he changed his clothes, putting his small backpack on before he put his cloak on. He then stepped out of the alley and started to walk towards the crossing.

Fortunately, Siren hadn't come back yet, and Mayor Goodway had headed back to her office at Ryder's request, so no one else was around.

When he reached the crossing, he hummed as he looked at the various broken rails, some of them still in the track grooves in the concrete. 'Okay, I should remove the rails from the grooves first,' He thought, before he reached down and grabbed the end of one. He then started to lift the piece up, and grunted as he did so.

'Damn this is heavy!' He thought to himself as he managed to lift the piece up and started to drag it out of the groove. 'Really heavy!' He continued as he dragged the piece away from the crossing before he set it on the ground. 'This is going to be quite a workout.'

As he grabbed another piece of rail and started to drag it away, Siren pulled up.

"Hey! What are you doing?" She said to him, before she hopped out of her vehicle and headed towards him.

"What does it look like?" Gavin replied, thankful that his voice was a bit deeper and slightly gruffer in this form. "I'm helping you out."

"Why?" Siren asked him.

"Because I want to," Gavin replied as he kept his head down, making sure his arms and hands stay covered as he dragged the rail piece away and set it next to the first one.

"Mhm," Siren said, not entirely convinced. "And why are you wearing that disguise?"

Before Gavin could respond, Ryder arrived. "Hey Siren," He said, before spotting the cloaked figure. "Oh, hello again."

"Hello," The cloaked figure replied. "It is nice to see you again. How is the bulldog? Not hurt too badly, I hope."

"Oh, she just has a sprained wrist," Ryder said. "Now, what brings you here?" He asked the figure. "And why are you wearing that cloak? Aren't you hot?"

"I am a little," The figure replied. "But I keep this cloak on to hide my looks. I am quite odd looking. As for why I am here," The male figure continued. "I am here to clean up this metal mess."

"I found him dragging a rail away from the crossing when I got back," Siren told Ryder. "Said he wanted to help just because he did."

"I see. Interesting," Ryder said, before they both heard an extremely loud growl come from the figure, catching their attention.

"Sorry," The figure apologized as another growl came from him. "I'm just very hungry. Haven't eaten for a while."

"How long is a while?" Ryder asked the figure as he walked over to another rail and sat down before it, his back now to them.

"About four days," The figure replied as his stomach growled louder again, before he sniffed the rail. "Mmm, metal," He said happily, before he leaned forward and they heard him take a bite of something. "Oh, this is so chewy," The figure continued as he chewed hard on something, which prompted them to walk to one side and see what he was eating.

"What the heck?!" Siren exclaimed upon seeing that part of the rail was now gone, with a bite mark at the end of it. "Are you eating the metal?!"

"Mhm!" The figure replied with a nod as he chewed the metal some more, before swallowing it and taking another bite.

"Why?! How?!" Siren asked him with wide eyes, Ryder also looking surprised.

"Because my body needs it," The figure replied as he ate the piece of rail some more, before he stood up. "As for how, I have strong jaws. Now then," he continued as he turned to them, making sure to keep his whole body hidden from them. "I do believe we need to finish clearing this track."

"Right!" Ryder replied with a nod, putting away the questions he had for the figure. "Siren, I need you to drive Marble's Rig," he said to her as he held out Marble's hat, while the figure walked over to another rail piece and started to drag it away.

"But, I've never driven Marble's rig before," She replied as she looked at the hat and then at the bulldozer.

"Don't worry. I'll talk you through it," Ryder said to her, while the cloaked figure set the rail piece down and went to grab another.

"Well, alright," She replied as she took off her police hat and put Marble's construction hat on, before she got into the bulldozer. "I'm on the case!"

"Okay, it's simple," Ryder explained. "Just press the green button for 'Go.'"

At that, Siren pushed the button, causing the running bulldozer to start slowly moving forward.

"That wasn't so hard," Siren said happily. "What's next?"

"Now, press the bucket up button, push the gas, and ease off the brake," Ryder replied, which made Siren gain a worried/confused look as she looked at the console, which looked completely different from the one in her car.

"'Bucket up button?'" She repeated with some alarm. 'Hit the gas!' Oh wait, the brake!" She exclaimed, before she slammed her foot down on the gas, causing the bulldozer to go faster.

"Easy. Too much gas!" Ryder said, while the cloaked figure sighed.

'Well this is going well,' He thought sarcastically as Siren went to push a button.

"NO! That's the drill arm!" Ryder called out to Siren as she pushed the button.

"Huh?" Siren said with confusion, before the rear of the bulldozer rose up from the drill arm lowering down. She then started to panic a bit, and pushed multiple buttons and switches, causing the drill to start to run and spin the bulldozer around. "Woooaaah!" She cried as she spun around and around and around.

"Siren! Hit the red button to stop!" Ryder called out to her, prompting her to do so. As soon as the button was pushed, the bulldozer stopped spinning and landed on its treads, while the drill rose out of the ground.

"Are you okay?" Ryder and the cloaked figure asked her as they came over to her.

"Uh, I'm a little dizzy, but I'll be alright," Siren replied as her vision stopped being blurry.

"Good," the cloaked figure said to her. "Now then, I assume you were having difficulty following the instructions Ryder was giving you?" he asked her.

"Yes, just like I did in Just Dance: Pup Pup Boogie," Siren replied.

"Hmm, well, maybe Ryder here could call out the instructions, or moves, you need to do," the cloaked figure suggested. "And you repeat them."

"Just like Skey did with me with the game!" Siren said with a smile. "Yes! Let's do it!" She continued as she looked at Ryder, who smiled, while the cloaked figure turned and started to move another rail piece.

"First, hit the square button on the left," Ryder said to her.

"The square button? What's that?" Siren asked him with confusion, having not seen it before.

"The radio," Ryder replied with a smile, prompting her to press it.

"Do the Pup Pup Booogie!"

"Alright!" Siren said with a smile as the most popular song of the game came on, her head bobbing to the beat.

"Okay! Ready?" Ryder asked her. "One, two, three, and… left hand push lever."

Siren then repeated his action, turning the engine back on, as the key was still in its slot.

"Right hand, push down," Ryder continued, prompting her to do so while repeated it out loud, and that caused the bulldozer to slowly move forward.

'This is somewhat adorable to witness,' Gavin thought to himself as he stood to the side, watching them. 'And a bit funny.'

"Left hand, black button," Ryder said as she turned the bulldozer around and approached the large pile of bent rails still on the tracks. When she did so, it caused the bucket to lower until it was right above the ground. "Oh yeah, I got this!" She then howled happily as the bulldozer bucket hit the pile and pushed it all off the tracks.

"Perfect!" Ryder said with a smile. "Now we just need to lay down the new rails," He continued.

"I can help with that," The cloaked figure said to him as he walked over, while Siren moved the rails off to be recycled.

"Wonderful!" Ryder replied. "I'll go get the supplies, and we can get started." He then got on his ATV and drove off to get the supplies.

An hour later…

"PHEW!" The cloaked figure said as he set a sledgehammer down on the ground. "That's the last one."

"Wonderful! Now the train track is fixed!" Ryder exclaimed happily, before they heard the rumbling of the train in the distance. "And just in time," he continued as he looked down the track. "The train's coming," he said, before he and Siren hurried off to the train station, while the cloaked figure stayed with the metal rails and bulldozer, deciding to eat the rails some more.

As Gavin chewed on the rails, he watched the train come around the corner and pass by. 'Well, I'll be getting that new game now,' He thought to himself as he finished one rail and went on to another. 'But man, these rails are super chewy!' He continued as he took a big bite of one and chewed on it. 'It's like chewing a massive ball of gum.'

As he sat there and continued to eat, he saw Ryder and Siren pull up again. "So, you guys get your package?" He asked them as he swallowed another piece, filling his stomach up a bit more.

"Yep!" Ryder replied as he got off his ATV and walked over to him. "Thanks for helping us out!" he continued as he held out a hand for him to shake. "We really appreciate it."

"You're welcome," Gavin replied as he took his hand and shook it, making sure his cloak was still covering his hand. "I was happy to help," he continued, before he set the rail down and stood up. "Ahhh, that was good," he said. "But I need to eat something else."

"Like what?" Ryder asked him.

"Some other type of metal," The cloaked figure replied. "Those rails are good, but I need a bit of variety." He then sighed. "Guess I'll have to go foraging again," he continued as he turned and started to walk away. 'In the Lookout's metal bin,' He thought to himself, as his stomach growled a little bit again, still feeling slightly hungry, even though he'd eaten four rail pieces. 'Hopefully they're not busy tonight.'

"Hmm, wait! I know where you can find some different metal!" Ryder called out to him, making him pause in place.

"You do?"

"There's a recycling bin back at the Lookout," Ryder said to him. "I'm sure there's some metal there you can eat."

"I…I wouldn't want to intrude," The cloaked figure replied. 'And it's rather risky,' He thought to himself.

"You wouldn't at all!" Ryder said to him with a smile. "Think of it as a thank you for helping us with the tracks and saving Cali."

"Well, I don't know," The cloaked figure replied, before his stomach growled again.

"Please?" Ryder asked him.

Gavin stared at Ryder for several seconds, before he sighed. "Alright, fine," he replied. "I'll go."

"Wonderful!" Ryder exclaimed happily.

"But what about Miss Marble's bulldozer?" The cloaked figure asked him. "How will that get back to the Lookout since Miss Siren has her police car to drive?"

"Hmmm," Ryder hummed at that, before he got another idea. "I know! Maybe you could drive it!"

"Me?!" The cloaked figure said with surprise.

"Are you sure Ryder sir?" Siren asked him with an arched eyebrow. "I mean, he's a complete stranger. How do we know he won't run off with it?"

"Hey! I'm not a thief!" The cloaked figure replied with a huff, a bit mad she had suggested the idea he was one, although he understood why she had done so.

"I'm sure Siren," Ryder replied. "He had plenty of time to steal it while we were at the train station, and he didn't."

"Right, right," Siren said with a nod. "That is true."

"So, will you do it?" Ryder asked him. "It's very easy to drive."

"Um, sure," The cloaked figure said with a shrug, before he headed over to the bulldozer and hopped into it. "I just push this lever and the green button, right? Before I then put on the gas?"

"Correct!" Ryder replied with a nod, before he got onto his ATV and put on his helmet. "Follow us! We'll lead you to the Lookout."

"Alright," the cloaked figure said, before he started the engine, pressed the green button, and pressed on the gas pedal a little, making the bulldozer go forward. 'I can't believe I'm driving a bulldozer!' He thought to himself as he followed Siren and Ryder down the street. 'I never would have seen myself doing this. Not in a million years!'

After a few minutes had passed, they crossed the bridge and drove up the hill towards the Lookout, passing by Gavin's house as they went.

"Where do I park this?" Gavin asked Ryder with fake confusion.

"There's a parking space on the right side for it," Ryder replied as he drove towards the small alcove in front of the Lookout, while Siren and the cloaked figure drove up on either side up to the Lookout. "You can't miss it!" he called out before he drove through the now-open doorway, which slid shut behind him.

"Alright," The cloaked figure said, before he drove the bulldozer over to the right side, and soon spotted the empty parking spot, which was in between Marsha's fire truck and Reggie's recycling truck. "That must be it," He continued before he turned the bulldozer around and back it into the parking slot. "Now then, I just need to press the red button, pull the lever, and take out the key," he muttered to himself, assuming that's how he was supposed to turn off the vehicle. He then did so, and hopped out, before the treads slid in and up into the vehicle, while the drill folded in on itself several times before it slid into the chassis. Finally, the bucket flipped over and was pulled back, covering the driver's seat, and making the vehicle become its box-shape once more.

"Wow, what a vehicle," The cloaked figure said with amazement, before he looked at the key in his hands, which looked a bit like the bulldozer it had been in. "Now then, who do I give this to?" he questioned as he looked around, only to pause when he saw the rest of the Paw Patrol come out.

"Siren, did it come?!" Skye asked her with bated breath.

"It sure did Skye!" Siren said with a smile as she held up a small package. "It's right here!"

"Ruff Ruff! Yes!" Skye exclaimed happily, her tail wagging quickly as she took the package and ripped it open, exposing the new game. "I can't wait to play this!"

"Um, Siwen, who's that?" Zuma asked as she looked at the cloaked figure standing next to Marble's rig, catching everyone's attention. "And why was he dwiving Mawble's wig?"

"Well, Zuma," Ryder said to her as he walked out of the Lookout behind them, helmet gone presumably stowed away. "He helped us clear off the tracks and put the new ones in. And we needed someone to bring the bulldozer back, so I figured he could do it."

"But who is he?" Marsha asked him. "And why is he here?"

"I don't know," Ryder replied honestly. "He hasn't told us anything about himself. But as for why he's here, well, you're about to find out," he continued, before he walked over to the figure, the others following him.

"Thanks again for driving the bulldozer back," Ryder said as the figure handed him the key. "And for helping us out."

"It was not a problem," The cloaked figure replied. "I'm just glad I was able to help."

"Good to hear!" Ryder said with a smile. "Now then, follow me," he continued, before he headed towards the back of the Lookout, with the cloaked figure walking alongside him while the others continued to follow him.

"What's Ryder doing?" Marble said with confusion. "Siren, you have any ideas?"

"Just watch, and you'll see," Siren replied with a knowing look, which peaked the other's curiosity.

Soon, they reached the back of the Lookout, where the large metal recycling bin was located, and Ryder gestured to the bin. "There you go," Ryder said with a smile. "Have as much as you want."

"Thank you," The cloaked figure replied, before he walked over to the bin and slid the side door open, which squealed loudly.

"Why is Ryder letting him take stuff from the recycling bin?" Marsha said with confusion as the figure stopped moving the door and reached into the bin. "What could he need any of it for?"

"You're about to find out," Siren replied as they watched the figure pull out an old plastic bucket, which made him shake his head before he tossed it back in and reached inside once more. They could hear his hand moving things around, before he pulled out a large soda can that had held orange flavored soda.

"Perfect," The figure replied, before he pulled the can towards his cloaked face. He then sniffed it, and grinned. "Mmm, smells good," He said, before he shoved it into his cloak hood, while they heard the metal crumple as well as the sound of him eating.

"What the heck?!" Reggie exclaimed with wide eyes, her shocked expression matching everyone else's, except for Ryder and Siren. "He's eating it?!"

"Yep!" Siren replied with a nod. "According to him, his body needs metal, so he has to eat it. Heck, he ate four of the broken rail pieces earlier."

"He what?!" Zuma said with surprise and shock.

"He must have really strong jaws," Marsha replied as she watched the figure take out a pie tin and eat it too.

"Yeah, that's what he said," Siren said.

"He's like a superhero!" Marble said with awe and excitement. "Awesome!"

"Mmm, that was good," The figure said with a happy hum as he finished up the pie tin and patted his belly. "Really good. Thanks again for letting me have some of this," He said to Ryder.

"You're welcome," Ryder replied.

"And um, do you think that I could come by sometimes and help myself to this?" The figure asked him. "It's not easy to forage for metal outside the city."

"Hmmm, I think that should be fine," Ryder said after thinking it over for a couple minutes. "What do you think Reggie?" he asked her.

"Well, I guess it'd be okay," She replied. "He is technically recycling it after all." At that, Marble gasped.

"That means that we'll see him more often!" Marble exclaimed happily. "Yay!"

"Thank you, Ryder and Reggie," The cloaked figure replied, sounding relieved. "That is very kind of you." The figure then looked up at the sky, and hummed. "Well, I best be on my way," he said, which made Marble go "Aw man!" "I need to get home."

"And where is home?" Siren asked him with curiosity.

"Oh, here and there," The figure replied. "Currently I'm sleeping near this large farm nearby, but I do make frequent trips into town," he continued. "So, you will probably see me even when I'm not here eating metal. Heck, I might help you out with future emergencies and problems."

"Oh, that'd be awesome!" Marble said with excitement.

"Well, I better go now," the figure replied, before waving at them as he walked towards the nearby forest. "Goodbye, Paw Patrol. And thank you."

"Goodbye!" The entire crew said to him as he entered the forest.

"That. Was. So cool!" Marble exclaimed once he was gone. "We met a real superhero!"

"Do you weally think he's a weal superhewo?" Zuma asked her.

"Of course! I mean, how else could he have eaten all that metal?!" Marble exclaimed. "He has to have some sort of extremely strong digestive system in order to break it all down. Ohhh, I wonder what else he can do?!"

"You 'll have to asked him the next time he comes over," Ryder replied.

"I certainly will Ryder!" Marble said as a firm yet excited look appeared on her face. "He won't escape me until I get some answers!"

"Um, oookay," Skye replied, feeling a bit nervous form the look in Marble's eyes. "Well, me and Siren have dibs on playing the first round of the new Just Dance: Pup Pup Boogie game," She continued as she turned and headed back into the Lookout, with Siren heading with her.

At that, the rest of the crew started to head after her, clamoring over who would be next to play the new game. Except for Marble, who was still staring at the forest.

"I will learn your secrets Mr. Superhero," She said firmly. "I won't give up until I know them all!" She continued, before she headed back into the Lookout.

Meanwhile…

"Why did I just get goosebumps?" Gavin questioned as his body suddenly shivered. "There's no wind blowing." After thinking it over for several seconds, he shrugged. "Eh, it was probably for no good reason," he continued, before sighing. "Now, that was risky," he said, referring to what had just happened several minutes earlier. "Verrry risky," he continued. "They could have tried to take off my cloak, or I could have tripped up and said something that would make them even more suspicious." He then sighed. "But hey, at least I can go get metal from them without having to do it in secret," he said as he changed back into a human behind a large pile of boulders and changed his clothes. "That's one good thing."

He then headed through the forest towards his house, making sure to stay out of sight as he went. Soon, he reached the edge of his backyard, and he ran across to his back door, knowing that no one was watching, as the entire Paw Patrol had gone to play the new video game. He then unlocked the door and went inside, before quietly shutting and locking the door.

"Alright then," Gavin said as he went upstairs to change his clothes. "That new game should be arriving at my house soon," He continued, knowing that the mail would arrive sometime soon. "I'll play it on stream. I'm sure people will love that."

Several minutes later, as he was setting up the stream, the doorbell rang, prompting him to head downstairs and to the door. When he reached it and opened it, he saw the mailman driving off back towards the bridge, while a small package sat at his doorstep. "There it is!" Gavin said with a smile as he bent down and grabbed the package, before he went inside, locking the door behind him as he did so.

"It's time to play some 'Pup Pup Boogie!'" He continued as his smile became a grin and he headed upstairs. And for the rest of the afternoon, Gavin played the game on stream, happy to have helped fixed the tracks so he could get the game to play.
