Chapter 9: Stuck on an Island, Must Survive, The Stranger!

Previously, Rohan had recently escaped the evil ones who had put him through such misery. Evidently, it was only Jafar who despised him and the reasons were pretty explanatory but from Rohan's perspective he saw it as everyone was out to get him. This was all due to the language barrier and not being able to fully comprehend what they were talking about. Now he has washed up on a small deserted island all alone.

As a result from eating the fruit and resting a few minutes in the shade you finally regained your strength and were ready to plan your next steps. Actually you ended up having a mental breakdown first. After what had happened there was no way you could recover so quickly from that. You cried, you laughed as if you had gone insane, and then you cried some more. Then you freaked out at the thought of Sinbad and his crew coming to hunt you down.

"Ohh they're going to kill me! I don't wanna die, I want to live!" You said out loud. You collapsed on the ground and continued to think of the terror that would befall on you if they did cross paths with you again. It took a moment for you to calm down and you ended up talking to yourself for a while.

"Great. Now I am stranded and there is no one here! Ugo! What the hell am I supposed to do?! I know you can hear me!" You yelled expecting an answer however no answer came. It was to be expected since you wouldn't see or hear from Ugo for a long time.

Eventually you gave up calling out for Ugo after remembering the last conversation. "This sucks" You muttered and then got up off the sand. You thought of how you could get away from this island. "I could just fly. Duh!" You finally said. At first you believed it was a great idea but you remembered the consequences of using a huge amount of magoi. Worst case scenario would be falling unconscious in the middle of the sea and becoming fish food.

"Okay..No that won't work.." you said and immediately stopped yourself. Instead you started looking around the island for material you could use to build a boat.

You found some bamboo and straw while searching around. You stopped to rest after collecting additional material such as food and a few sharp rocks. Then you thought to yourself "Do I really need to leave?" You began to question yourself. If you leave you might bump into bandits or even worse Jafar! You might get hurt again or the boat you build may sink and you will still end up as fish food!

The more bad things that went through your head the more you did not feel like leaving. In the end you came to realize how peaceful it was here. Nothing crazy has happened like kidnappings or getting thrown into prison. There was also food and if you got tired of eating bananas there were fish you could catch. There was no need to leave. Instead of making a boat you changed your plans and began building a hut. You made sure to build it well away from the water. Even with the help of magic it still took two days and a half to complete it. It would have taken much longer if you had not used magic at all. The hut you made was standard size. There was enough room to have a bed and a mini kitchen. To create the roof you used the palm trees and to create the exterior you used mud made with the sand and water. The straw that you collected was used to create the bed.

It wasn't perfect but it was better than having no shelter at all. When it rained you had a roof over your head and it kept you from getting soaked. When you needed a place to cool off from the hot sun all you had to do was go to the hut and rest there. Even though you had everything you needed to survive it felt like something was missing. The lack of others on the island made it a lonely place after a few days. You had to keep yourself busy with tasks so you did not feel so lonely.

Today you were planning on creating a basket and a spear to use to store and catch fish for dinner tonight. Using magic too much without proper training had tired you a lot so you decided to do things the old fashion way. "Day six and still nothing eventful has happened. Maybe this island is a little too peaceful?" You said to yourself as you collected material to build the spear. All you pretty much needed was a sharp rock, a long branch, and a rope you created by using the straw. Once you got the material you started crafting the spear. This was much simpler than constructing the hut. It took you about fifteen minutes to complete.

Next it was onto creating the baskets for storing stuff away but first you wanted to practice controlling your magic. So far you knew transformation, storm, summoning, gravity and light magic. Your specialty was transformation magic and it really came in handy when you were in a pinch. You just need to work on building up your stamina and endurance to be able to use it for a longer period. The most your transformation magic could last was a day and a half on a full stomach and just a half a day when you were hungry.

"I'll learn how to control my powers. Then I will really be unstoppable. Just you wait, Jafar! I will get you back for what you did to me!" you said with confidence. You were motivated in getting stronger so that you would be able to protect yourself and if you come across someone who was weak and needed help in the future you would be able to actually help them.

The sun was at its peak when you finished your training session. You still have a long way to go to learn how to control your magic properly and to be able to use less magoi for certain abilities like the gravity magic. The summoning magic was the most challenging and you did not even attempt to practice that magic in fear that your creation would go berserk again. After resting for a few minutes and filling up on bananas you began making your first basket. It took longer than it did when you were putting the spear together and was more of a challenge too. You did not know how to make a basket from scratch so it took trial and error.

In the end you were able to complete one basket. You did not have the patience to finish making the second basket as you were eager to spend the rest of the evening catching and cooking the fish you caught. You got your spear and basket and dashed over to the ocean water. The water was mild when it touched your skin. It wasn't too cold which was great for this type of fishing.

Now it was time to wait and see if you could spot any fish. It wasn't going to be that easy since not many fish come near the shallow waters. You moved further into the water until the water came right past your ankles and continued the search. You waited and searched for quite awhile. The sun was just starting to set now and still no luck. You threw the spear down full of frustration and annoyance that you had not caught anything yet.

"Ughh! I'm getting nowhere with this. What can I do to get a fish around here?" you shouted out. What you didn't know was that the reason why there were no fish right now was due to the fact that in the distance there was a sea monster lurking around. You could not see it since it was under water right now. No fish dared to be around when a sea monster was nearby. Eventually you gave up and decided to try again another day. It was already getting late now.

"I guess it is banana and coconut again for dinner tonight." you said with a sigh as you got out of the water. You walked over to the hut to set your spear and basket down. You were getting sick of just eating those two things however it was still better than nothing. You prepared a campfire and thought for a moment. What if you tried cooking the banana with coconut water? During the week you were on the island you were able to craft a small stone pot which you would have used to try and make fish tea (fish soup) however you had not succeeded in catching any fish yet.

You picked a few bananas off of the banana tree and peeled off the skin and you placed them in the pot. You began mashing up the banana until it resembled mushy baby food. Next you grabbed a few coconuts and popped a small hole in each to pour the coconut water into the banana mixture. Once the pot had enough coconut water you placed it over the fire and used a wooden ladle to stir. After a few minutes of stirring you noticed that the concoction you were creating was starting to get thicker. You assumed it was ready to be eaten so you grabbed a wooden bowl that you also crafted and began scooping the banana porridge and placing it in your bowl.

Now it was time for a taste test. After cooling it off you drank some of it. You noticed it had a slight creamy texture and there was a hint of sweetness since you used the yellow bananas. It definitely had a unique taste and it took some time to get used to. After you acquired the taste for it you went for seconds.

"This is not bad. Not bad at all," you said as you sipped on it. Once you finished you put out the fire and went to wash the stone pot in the ocean water. You glanced in the distance and thought you saw some type of figure but when you blinked it was gone.

"I must be seeing things. Am I hallucinating because I am tired?," you said as you rubbed your eyes. You returned to the hut quickly after the stone pot was clean and laid down on the bed of straw. Then you fell right to sleep.

One week ago after you jumped off the ship to Sindria.

Jafar got himself up off of the ground after he failed to apprehend you. He totally was not expecting that. Masrur also was not expecting a boy to suddenly turn into a fish either, however he kept a straight face and went to help Jafar.

"If I ever see that kid again, he's going to wish he had not escaped" Jafar muttered. Sinbad came down and rested his hand on Jafar's shoulder. He wasn't surprised that all of this happened and it was almost as if he knew this would happen. "That's enough Jafar. Just let it go. We have other matters to take care of right now" Sinbad said. It was easy for him to let go because he knew eventually you would cross paths with him again.

Aladdin comes running up to the deck after waking up and no longer seeing you in the bed. Shortly after came Alibaba right behind Aladdin. "Where's Rohan?!" Aladdin exclaimed. His eyes immediately went to Jafar. Sinbad steps in and explains what happened. "Rohan, he threw himself off the ship and turned himself into a fish. Jafar was trying to stop him however as you can see he got away." Sinbad said straight forward.

Aladdin was still upset after the answer was given to him. He just lost a new friend that he could kind of relate to. "We have to get him back! Who knows what may happen if we leave him alone in this world" Aladdin said and he was right. Imagine if Al-Thamen were to get their hands on Rohan and brainwashed him. They would have another enemy magi to deal with other than Judal. Alibaba would agree with Aladdin on this one especially after witnessing Rohan's power in person.

Jafar recalled what Sinbad said about Rohan being a magi and he was regretting his actions now. He cursed his short temper knowing that having another magi as an enemy was not good for Sinbad or his kingdom. "I know we got on the wrong foot and I wish to make amends with Rohan," Jafar finally said, however he knew that Sinbad would not be able to help with the search. He had other matters to take care of with the Kou Emperor and the events that took place in Balbadd. Sinbad would explain this to the others and said that once the meeting with the Kou Emperor was over he would definitely go look for Rohan.

A week later the ship finally reached Sindria and Sinbad took care of some things before he went on another ship and set sail for the Kou Empire. As for Aladdin, Alibaba, and Morgiana they got sidetracked while searching for your whereabouts. Alibaba needed some time to mourn for the loss of his friend Cassim and he needed to train to get stronger. Aladdin couldn't get his mind off of you and Ugo and fell into depression. He confined himself to the room that he was staying in. Morgiana had training sessions with Masrur to get stronger as well. Then just like that three months had passed and still not one of them were able to find Rohan.

—-

Three months passed while you were on the small island. During that time you upgraded your hut and now it had another level added on. You crafted a ladder so that you could get up on the second floor. You managed to catch a few fish during that time and had a decent meal for once. You were able to use your transformation magic for a longer period, three days now was the max. You also crafted a bow and arrow and self taught yourself archery. You haven't used it to catch any of the flying creatures yet because the bow string was not durable enough and when you pulled on the sting too hard it would snap right off.

Recently you figured out that you could use lightning magic and ever since then you have used that magic to start up your campfires. The last thing you did during the three months, which you had no idea you could do was create a giant tower. In this world these towers are known as dungeons. This happened because you tried to practice summoning magic again and instead of summoning the golem you summoned a tower. It had emerged from the sea so no huts were destroyed in the process. Ugo had mentioned something about dungeons however you forgot about that part.

At first you were curious about what may be inside, however you did not know how to enter. There was no entrance so in the end you destroyed it because it was a nuisance having a random tower in the middle of the sea.

"I won't be needing that right now. It could come in handy later." You said to yourself. Then you smirked a little at the thought of crushing Jafar with a falling tower. "Hehe Yes! That's how I'll end you! Jafar!" You shouted out then someone out of nowhere said "End who?" the stranger said. You turned your head to the direction of where you heard the voice and saw a young man who was wearing a big green feathered hat. You almost mistook them for a girl because of their feminine features but the voice sounded more masculine. It took you a moment to process that the guy just spoke in your language.

Before you could ask who he was the young man asked if it was you who just created the dungeon that was just there.

"Oh no, that, that was just a normal tower. I was practicing summoning magic." you said then paused for a moment. Why were you answering this dude's questions?! You had a lot of questions to ask him. "Wait! Just who in the world are you?! How can you understand me?" You said demanding answers. So far only Ugo was able to understand you. The stranger continued to observe you. You no longer had the clothes that you stole from Balbadd on. Those disappeared as soon as you turned into a fish. What you had on now was only a skirt made of straw (similar to the hula skirt). Your white hair wasn't so white anymore because it was messy and dirty. You didn't have soap to wash off only what the sea provided you with. Thus being said you smelt like the sea.

The stranger finally finished his observation of you. He noticed your Rukh matched up to those of a magi. "Hello? Helloooo?! Why are you just staring at me in silence? Are you a creeper? You're a creeper!" You said childishly. The stranger was quiet for a moment and then tears started to form. It was because you called him a creeper. You were totally taken aback from this reaction. "W-Wwait why are you crying now?!" you were feeling a bit guilty now.

"I'm n-not a creeper. My name is Yunan! I'm a wanderer!" He cried. Thus you were no longer the only one on the island anymore.
