First and foremost: this is mainly my AU kind of... I drew as much from canon as I could manage. It's just tweaked a bit differently. Basically, Michael, William, the missing kids and CC (I went with the name Evan, sorry) are living down in Hell. It's like most FNAF Gacha AUs just... a little more drawn from canon. Idk, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Susie took a deep breath and knocked on the door. For a moment, she debated running off- at the very worst, he'd be confused and then shrug it off- but before she could make up her mind about that, she heard his voice call through the door for her to come in.

If her heart worked, it would be pounding hard. She took another deep breath and slowly opened the door. She didn't pay much attention to the room itself- a bed in the center of the room, another door on the other side and a white closet- instead focusing on the character sitting on the bed.

Mike the Guard. Or, well, that's always how she'd known him. He was the only Night Guard to have survived being stuffed into the suits. She used to wonder why- now she knew.

Mike had gone by many names over the years- Mike Schmidt, Fritz Smith, etc.- but when she found out his real name was Michael Afton… well, everything made sense to her at that point. Thankfully, he was nothing like his father, not even close.

Mike looked up at her and smiled, setting aside his tablet and gesturing her over.

"Hey there, Sue," he said. "How's it going?"

When she first met him, Mike had been purple-skinned and wearing a wig. Now that they were in their special 'Hellspace', as Mike liked to call it, he could change his appearance at will. Naturally, he chose to not be purple. His brown hair was always fluffy and looked incredibly soft. And his eyes shone blue, not icy blue like Freddy's eyes, but a warm-water blue.

His eyes always served to calm her down. Which was what she needed right now. She swallowed once and made her way over to his bed, sitting down beside him. She glanced down at the tablet in curiosity.

"How is he doing?" she asked. Mike chuckled slightly, which made her smile.

"He's… trying," he said. They heard an angered shout come from the tablet, then the sound of a door slamming shut. Susie giggled.

"Bet he's not as good as you," she said. Mike shook his head.

"I've had way more practice than him," he said. "He'll get the hang of it eventually."

"Let's hope not," Susie responded. "It'll take away half the fun."

Mike laughed softly, sending a warm feeling into her. She loved feeling things. She hadn't felt in so long. Mike shook his head slightly, smiling so warmly that his eyes seemed to be smiling too.

"Anyway, what did you need?" he asked. His smile faded a little bit. "Everything alright?"

Susie shrugged, remembering what she was doing there in the first place.

"Yeah, I'm fine," she said. "I was just wondering… well, I used to bake for the others a lot… back when we…"

Her throat closed up. Mike gently patted her shoulder, his hand sliding down and taking hers. He squeezed it slightly.

"You wanted to bake something for them again?" he asked gently. She nodded, taking another deep breath.

"I don't want to bake a pizza," she said. "I think we've all had enough pizza for a lifetime."

This made Mike laugh again. She liked making him laugh. She knew he hadn't done it much in his life. It made her feel good that she could make him feel good.

"So… you wanted to bake something else?" he asked. She nodded, sitting up straighter.

"I was wondering if… you wanted to bake cookies with me?" she asked. Her heart would have been racing a mile a minute at the request. She remembered that she used to bake cookies with her mother… simpler times, happier times. She hadn't baked cookies since then, and she hadn't asked anyone to bake with her.

Obviously, the others decided to walk into the kitchen and help her when they felt like it, but this was the first time since she'd last seen her mom that she asked someone to do it with her. Suddenly, she felt like she was asking too much of Mike. After all, he saved their souls, she shouldn't be asking him to-

Mike grinned at her.

"I'd love to bake cookies with you," he said. Susie froze in her spot on his bed. Did he say yes? He'd said yes, hadn't he?

The realization that he said yes made an impossibly wide grin spread across her face and filled her with so much warmth and happiness that she shot forward and wrapped her arms around him, squeezing hard. Maybe she was overreacting, but it felt so, so nice to be hugging him and feeling warm and happy and he was the one who made her feel this happiness that she hadn't felt in so long-

Mike wrapped his arms around her, too.

"Did you already decide what kind of cookies you wanted to bake?" he asked. Susie pulled away from the hug, but her arms were still gripping his torso. She looked up into his eyes- sparkling blue eyes- and nodded.

"Chocolate chip!" she said. "Everyone loves chocolate chip!"

Mike's grin widened.

"Those are Evan's favorite," he said. "They're also the only cookies I know how to bake…"

Susie's eyes widened in even more excitement.

"You know how to bake?" she asked. Mike nodded, chuckling slightly.

"Yeah, but… well, I haven't done it in a while," he said. "This should be fun."

Susie ran up to her friends, who were all sitting on the couch in the main room. When Evan had created the living area of the Hellspace, he'd modeled the entire area after his childhood home mixed with a little bit of each pizzeria they'd come from. Sitting on the couch, looking down at a tablet similar to Mike's were Fritz, Jeremy, Gabriel, Charlie, Evan and Cassidy. They looked up when she entered. Jeremy gave her a bright, adorable smile that admittedly made her cheeks feel warmer. Was she warmer?

"Hey, Sue!" he greeted her. The others smiled and greeted her too, but none of them made her feel the same type of warmth that Jeremy's smile had sent into her. She shook herself and grinned back at them all.

"Hey, guys!" she said. "I wanted to show you all something!"

"What is it?" Evan asked, setting the tablet down. A scream emanated from it, then the sound of a flashlight clicking furiously. Susie's smile grew a little bit.

"It's a surprise," she said. The kids all looked at each other before standing up and following her out of the room. Susie led everyone into the kitchen, where Mike was sitting at the table, staring down at his tablet. He looked up and smiled at everyone when they entered.

"Hey, guys," he said. He gestured to the oven. "Just a couple more minutes."

Susie nodded and sat down at the table next to him. Charlie sat at the other end of the table while the rest of the kids filled in the seats.

"Are you guys baking something?" Gabriel asked. Fritz sniffed the air.

"It smells really good," he said. He grinned and winked at Susie. "I can tell it's not pizza."

Susie shook her head, her blonde ringlets bouncing around.

"Nope," she told him. "I felt like switching it up today."

Mike tapped on something on his tablet, nodded to himself, then stood up. Susie bounced in her seat in excitement. Mike opened up the oven and reached in, ready to grab the pan, but Jeremy cleared his throat.

"Um… shouldn't you put on a mitten or something?" he asked. Mike blinked at him, then looked down at his hand.

"Uh… yeah, I could do that," he said. He reached into a drawer and removed an oven mitt, then finally reached into the oven and removed the pan. He set it on the counter, grabbed a spatula, and started scraping whatever was on said pan onto a plate.

Evan sat up in his seat, trying to see what his brother was doing. The other kids (except for Susie) followed his example, but Mike was too good and they couldn't see what was on the plate.

Finally, the former guard turned around and set the plate on the table. He and Susie smiled at each other at the way everyone's eyes lit up when they saw the cookies.

"Are those chocolate chip?!" Fritz asked excitedly. Susie nodded.

"Yep!" she said. "Mike and I made them for you guys. Want some?"

Jeremy, Gabriel, and Fritz's hands all shot towards the plate. Once they had collected their cookies, Evan and Cassidy carefully reached over and picked up a couple cookies each. Once everyone had gotten their pick, Charlie reached over calmly and grabbed a cookie.

Everyone enjoyed them. Jeremy and Fritz occasionally fought each other for cookies which let Gabriel sneak in and grab two at a time. Cassidy eventually joined the game, then they all started screaming nonsense at each other and fighting for cookies. Charlie would reach over while they were distracted and steal some cookies. Eventually, she managed to slowly grab the plate and made it halfway to the door before anyone realized it. They chased her out of the kitchen, laughing. Evan looked at them, shrugged, then ran off after them.

Susie giggled at her friends. She loved it when they played together. Mike nudged her shoulder.

"You didn't grab any?" he asked. She shook her head.

"The best part of baking is watching everyone else enjoy what you made," she said. Her shoulders sagged slightly. "At least, that's what my mommy told me…"

Mike put a gentle hand on her shoulder. She looked up and into his calming eyes, frowning slightly when she saw that they were purple instead of blue. That was… strange. She shook the thought out of her head.

"That's true," he said. "Your mum is very wise.

"But," he said, holding out his hand. When Susie looked down, she saw that he was offering her a cookie. She looked at his face and saw him smiling at her. "That doesn't mean you can't try some of what you made too."

Susie giggled slightly and took the offered cookie, biting into it. The chocolate chips were still warm and melted right onto her tongue. The dough was soft and fell apart in her mouth. The cookie itself was incredibly sweet. She closed her eyes to savor the moment.

"Thank you," she said. Feeling that Mike's hand was still on her shoulder, she decided to be brave. She leaned her head on his arm, finding where it bent instantly. She found it surprisingly comfortable.

She didn't see his face, but she assumed he smiled at her.

"Not a problem," he said. "Next time you wanna bake something, just ask. Ok?"

She smiled and nodded.

She most certainly would.

(Also, Mike used to bake cookies with his mom and there's nothing you can do to change my mind. He's a baker. End of story.)
