Welcome back, phans,

Sorry, I know, I know. Long story short, lots of rewriting, 2 redoes, and technical difficulties. But the tech part won't happen again. I SWEAR.

If anyone happens to be curious about my Sonic Adventure 3 Prequel, it's currently on hiatus for the moment, and possibly under a minor rewrite. I decided to write out all the summaries for that story first BEFORE I continue writing. When that will happen, I'm not sure yet. Most likely after Episode 71 of this story or after I finish Season 4 entirely.

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy the story!

Ver. 1.0.0 (8/26/21)

"To the mooooonnn!" Youngblood exclaimed as he zipped through the air, wearing his astronaut outfit.

Danny Phantom was flying after him, with Tucker's drone flying close by.

"Youngblood, of all the times you had to steal a kiddie ride, you just had to pick now!?" Phantom exclaimed.

"That's shuttle pilot Youngblood to you, Phantom!" Youngblood shouted as he piloted the corny little shuttle between buildings, heading straight towards a large corporate building.

"As you can see, we are projected to reach profits triple the previous quarter," a presenter explained to the smartly dressed executives in a meeting room.

"Coming through!" Youngblood laughed as he intangibly phased through the windows and vanished into the wall on the opposite side.

Everyone looked at one another in confusion.

"Sorry about this!" Phantom called out as he followed Youngblood's trail, intangibly phasing through the barriers.

"GHOSTS!" everyone exclaimed, causing papers to fly as they began running.

Outside, Tucker's drone took the longer route around the building to catch up.

"You know," Tucker said from the Fenton Phone, "at this rate, we'll get so much extra homework, dealing with ghosts will be the least of our concerns."

"Yeah, I know, Tucker," Phantom growled as he phased outside and turned tangible, "Had I known Youngblood's assistant could possess technology like Technus can, I would have destroyed every kiddie ride in Amity Park years ago. You got a reading on that brat?"

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

Tucker was huddled in the dark janitor's closet, controlling the drone with a controller, which also has a screen showing him live feed from the drone.

"Yup," Tucker smirked, "You keep after him, I'll cut him off. Should give you enough time to nab him so I can hack into the control processors. And, if we're lucky, we'll be back in class before anyone gets suspicious."

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

Youngblood laughed as he continued to phase through buildings, scaring its occupants. He looked behind and was delighted to see that no one was chasing him.

"Ha! So much for being a protector," the ghost child laughed.

*THUD*

"Whoa!" Youngblood exclaimed before his face slammed into the base of the ride, "Hey! What's going on!?"

"I can't move!" Youngblood's assistant explained, "Something's got us."

"Ahem!"

Youngblood looked up and saw Phantom holding out a hand, which gave off a green glow.

"Sorry, but you're crashlanding!" he quipped as he telekinetically forced the spaceship and its thieves to the ground.

As Phantom held them down, Tucker's drone flew in and attached near the end of the ship. Its green light changed to light blue.

"Yes, I'm in!" said Tucker, "Just need a few seconds and Youngblood's space exploration efforts will be a thing in the past!"

"Yeah, can you hurry up, Tucker?" Danny strained, "Telekinesis isn't as easy to use as Specter makes it out to be."

"Don't worry, dude," Tucker replied, "Just one last line of code and… uh-oh."

"Tucker? What's wrong?" Danny asked.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

"Uh, you might wanna get back here fast," Tucker said nervously as he sent the final line of code to his drone.

"Why?" Phantom asked.

"Because Ms. Tetslaff just found me," Tucker squeaked before the muscular woman picked Tucker up by the back of the collar and dragged him away.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

"Oh, great," Phantom muttered, "C'mon, drone, don't fail me now…"

The blue light began to blink for a couple of seconds before it turned yellow. Danny could feel less resistance coming from the ship and released it from his telekinetic grasp.

"Aw, no fair, Phantom!" Youngblood whined, "It's always the same! It's all fun and games until you show up!"

"Oh, shut up," Phantom ordered as he pulled out a Fenton Thermos, "Now, let's get you back to the Ghost Zone."

"No way! I haven't had my fun yet!" Youngblood complained as his assistant appeared next to him, in the form of an alien-like ecto-pus, with one eye and a spike at the end of each tendril.

As Phantom began to float down towards the pair of ghosts, the drone's light suddenly began to rapidly blink red and beep in sync.

"What is that thing doing now?" Youngblood's assistant asked.

Suddenly, the spaceship began to shake, and Tucker's drone detached from the ship and flew away.

"Uh oh…" Youngblood moaned, "Houston, we have a problem…"

*BOOOOOM*

A small explosion erupted from the spaceship, sending Youngblood and his assistant into the air and flying into the distance.

"Great…" Phantom groaned, facepalming, "I should have used my telekinesis to catch them. Imbecile!"

Sighing, the half-ghost flew off back to Casper High.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

As Phantom closed in on Casper High, he went intangible and entered the boy's restroom. With the stall closed, a flash of light erupted from the stall and Danny Fenton emerged. As he made his way out the restroom, he checked his watch.

"Oh, crud, I am so-"

*Thud*

Danny backed away a couple of steps of what he bumped into just as he left eh bathroom. He looked up and his eyes widened.

"Mr. Fenton," Mr. Lancer said calmly, arms crossed, "A word, please? In my office."

Danny glanced behind Lancer and saw Tucker standing nervously, sweat dripping down his face.

"Now," Mr. Lancer said sternly.

*Cue Intro*

Danny Phantom in: Terror in the Night (Episode 68)

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

Danny and Tucker made their way down the school halls. Sam and Valerie were waiting for them at their lockers. Tucker was out of breath when they reached the girls.

"Jeez, I know you had to run more laps, but not that much," said Sam.

"Hey, I'm carrying extra luggage here too, Sam," Tucker panted, "My drone is in my backpack."

"Oh, come on, Tucker," said Valerie, "You ran the extra laps hours ago. You can't still be tired. Besides, your drone is only 30 pounds."

"I prefer exercising my mind," Tucker smirked, "And it's actually 35 pounds."

"What was your excuse this time, hero boy?" Sam smirked as she nudged Danny playfully in the ribs.

"I told Lancer I had a really bad stomach bug," Danny told her, "But he didn't buy it, since someone else used the restroom and told him that no one else was there before I got back."

"So, what did you do then?" Valerie asked.

"I told him it was a personal matter," Danny explained as he grabbed his books out of his locker and put them in his backpack, "I can't tell if Lancer hates me or just losing his patience with me."

"I think 'hate' is too strong a word," said Sam as they made their way towards the exit, "Still, I don't think he hates you, Danny."

"I know," Danny sighed as the group turned a corner, "It's just that… oh, maaaaannn…"

Before the group were the A-listers; Paulina, Kwan, Star, and a few others.

"C'mon," said Valerie, "We'll go around and leave through the back to avoid them."

As soon as Danny turned around, he bumped into the one person he was hoping not to see.

"Well, if it isn't Fenturd!" Dash laughed, getting the other popular teens' attention, "Looks like he and his friends were trying to avoid us!"

They walked over and surrounded the group.

"Is this really necessary, Dash?" Sam asked angrily, "When will you grow up?"

"I dunno," Dash smirked as he grabbed Danny by the collar, "Maybe when Fentina here learns to man up and ask someone like you on a date!"

Danny glared at Dash and shoved him away, surprising the larger teen.

"Whoa, when did you begin to act so 'brave'?" Dash asked sarcastically.

"Back off, Dash," Danny told him, "We're juniors now. We'll be adults in less than two years. Like Sam said, grow up."

"Oh, look at that," Dash teased, "Widdle baby Fentoad wants me to stawp being so mean to him. Ha! You're a real laugh, Fenton, I'll give you that!"

"Whatever," Danny scoffed, "C'mon, guys, let's get out of here."

Danny led the others passed Dash, but the bully wasn't done yet and grabbed Danny by the shoulder.

"Whoa, hold on there, loser!" the bully snapped, "Where do you think you're taking your friends and girlfriend?"

"He's not my-" Sam began.

"Why do you care so much if we're dating or not?" Danny asked, pushing Dash's hand away from his shoulder.

"Because a loser like you getting together with some ugly goth chick like her?" Dash laughed, "You two wouldn't survive even a whole month before you guys broke up!"

All the other A-listers began laughing with Dash, worrying Sam, Tucker, and Valerie. However, Danny simply glared at Dash for a moment before he turned and led the others away. It took a moment before Dash and the others calmed down and noticed that Danny wasn't there, nor were his friends.

"Hey! Where'd those losers go!?" Dash exclaimed.

"Isn't that them over there?" Kwan asked, pointing to where Danny, Tucker, Sam, and Valerie were hurrying off towards.

"My place?" Sam asked.

"Get them!" Dash ordered as he led all the male A-listers.

"Your place," Danny, Tucker, and Valerie replied, and they burst through the school doors.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

On the other side of town, a group of teenagers snuck onto into an abandoned hotel. They approached one of the boarded-up windows and began pulling the rotted boards off. With the wood out of the way, the four teenagers carefully stepped over the broken window and entered the dark entryway.

"This is the place, huh?" one of them asked.

"Yup," the leader of the group replied as he pulled out a flashlight and shined the light around, "Aw, yeah, this place is perfect for a horror movie."

Two of the other teens placed their bags down, opened them, and pulled out a pair of tripods.

"Should we film here first?" the only girl of the group asked nervously as she pulled out the video camera.

"It's the best place to start," said the leader, "Why, you scared?"

"I just have a bad feeling about this place," the girl replied, "I heard ghosts usually come here."

"Oh, please," the stuck-up member of the group, "The worst a ghost could do is scare us."

"Which would be perfect for our movie," the leader pointed out, "Definitely better than the ugly ghost costume we have."

"Hey, it was your fault for kicking out Tony," his friend stated, "We could have used his visual effects skills."

"Well, he shouldn't have complained about everything," the leader shrugged.

"WHAT WAS THAT!?" the stuck-up teen exclaimed, jumping back and pointing towards the top of the stairs.

"WHAT, WHERE!?" the girl cried out.

Everyone looked where the teen was pointing, but nothing was there but darkness.

"You jerk!" the girl exclaimed, punching the teen in the back, "You did that on purpose!"

"No, really, I saw something!" he insisted, "It was right there, at the top of the stairs!"

The leader headed up the stairs, pointing the flashlight around to see if anything was there.

"I don't see anything," he told the others, "Are you sure-"

Suddenly, a loud crash came from upstairs, shaking the dust off the ceiling above the teens.

"What?" the girl asked nervously, "What is it?"

"Stay here," the lead teenager told them, "I'm gonna check it out."

The teen slowly made his way in the hall, shining the light around in wonder. Shadows casted by dust and cobwebs made him edgy. Suddenly, a shuffling noise came from the room to his right. He gulped and slowly opened the door. He stuck his head inside looked around. His light briefly illuminated a strange white creature and he had to do a double take to see what it was.

"Oh, it's just a barn owl," he chuckled to himself, "All the noise must have disturbed it."

Suddenly, screams from his three friends echoed through the building. He rushed down the hall and hurried downstairs. All the equipment was lying on the ground, and no one was there.

"Guys?" the teen called out, "Where are you?"

Silence.

"Ha ha, very funny, guys! Come on, let's get this movie started!"

There was no reply. A sudden cold wind whooshed from behind the teen. His eyes widened and a shiver went up his spine. He slowly turned around and looked up. The last thing he saw before he hightailed it out of the hotel was a pair of large glowing yellow eyes staring into his.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

At the Manson residence, Danny, Tucker, Sam, and Valerie were in the library, finishing up their homework.

"Done!" they all sighed at the same time and leaned back in their chairs.

"So… what now?" Tucker asked the others, "We've got a couple of hours before it gets dark. Any suggestions?"

"*Sigh* See if Trevor will tolerate it and train us?" Sam asked.

"That's all we've been doing for nearly three months," said Danny, "And, to be honest, I'm not sure if I've gotten any stronger."

"Maybe not," said Tucker, "But your reflexes have gotten faster."

"You think so?" Danny asked.

"Besides crashing into a wall at least one a week?" Valerie chuckled.

"Yes, Valerie," Danny sighed, rubbing his hand down the side of his face, "Besides me forgetting to turn intangible."

Behind the group, a pair of clock hands appeared and spun around into a swirling ghost portal. Specter stepped out of the portal just before his shrunk out of existence, with Dust on his shoulder.

"Hope nothing apocalyptic happened while I was gone," he said dryly, slightly startling the group.

"Jeez, you trying to give us a heart attack?" Danny asked.

"Happy early Halloween," Specter joked flatly.

"Yeah, Reaper showed up, killed all of us, and we are now cursed to haunt the ends of the earth for all of eternity," Sam smirked.

"Well, that's four less problems for me then," Specter shrugged as a blue ring appeared around his waist.

"Clockwork need you for something?" Danny asked.

"He and the Observants always do," Trevor grumbled, "Not this time though. It was just an update to the Resistance back in my timeline."

"You never told us you kept in contact with them," Valerie pointed out.

"You guys never asked, nor was it relevant," Trevor shrugged.

"Is it just me… or is there something different about you?" Tucker asked.

"Yeah, it's the missing scarf, Tucker," Trevor answered, annoyed, "And, yes, my scar has completely healed. You can save your congratulations for when we finish the mission."

"You seem to be a more cheerful mood," Valerie remarked.

Dust turned to her and gave her the 'stop before you regret it' gesture with her wing.

"Yes, I'm just an ocean of sunshine and rainbows," Trevor smiled sarcastically, "Anyways, I've got some things to take care of for the next couple of days. The four of you and Danielle are free to do as you wish."

The four teens gave each other confused looks.

"Are you okay, Trevor?" Danny asked, "This seems very unlike you."

"Just some… personal matters that need to be tended to, that's all," Trevor replied, "I'll be fine, there's no need for you guys to concern yourselves."

The young half-ghost walked by them towards the doors, but briefly stopped and leaned against one of the bookshelves and rubbed his forehead.

"Trevor?" Tucker asked, "You sure you're okay?"

Trevor shook the discomfort and stood back up.

"Yeah, I'm fine," he replied over his shoulder as he walked away, "Just tired."

His eyes glanced over, and he saw something new in the library.

"I don't recall that being in the library before," he pointed out.

"What, the piano?" Sam asked, "Yeah, my parents pulled that out of storage. Figured it would give the library more 'life'."

As soon as Trevor was gone, the four teens remained concerned.

"Something is definitely wrong," said Valerie.

"Yeah, that was, like, really unlike him," said Danny.

"I'll see if he'll talk to me later," Sam told them, "For now, you guys wanna watch a horror movie or something?"

"Actually, I promised Danielle I would spend some time with her before going out on patrol," said Danny, "Another time?"

"Sure, no problem," Sam replied, giving Danny a quick hug before he got up and left.

"You know… now that I think about it, Sam, where are all your Halloween decorations?" Tucker asked.

"Hmm… that reminds me…" Sam smiled.

"Ohhh…" Tucker groaned, "Come on, Sam! I helped you last year!"

"Just messing with you, Tucker," Sam laughed, "I'll do it myself, it's no problem. Just haven't had time to yet. Unless you two want to help?"

"NOPE!" Tucker and Valerie exclaimed, "I'm out."

Tucker and Valerie grabbed their supplies and hurried out, much to Sam's amusement. She closed her textbook and reached under the table, pulling up a box full of Halloween decorations.

At the Fenton Works, Jack and Maddie were down in the lab, building a new invention. Standing by the Ghost Portal, Dani was watching for any ghosts attempting to escape the Ghost Zone. It didn't take long before someone cracked open the doors and poked their head through. They glanced around before looking up at Dani.

"Uh… hello?" Walker smiled nervously.

"Goodbye," Dani smirked.

*POW*

She socked Walker directly in the face, sending him back into the Ghost Zone and allowing the Ghost Portal to close.

"You enjoyed that," someone laughed behind her.

"Danny!" Dani gasped as she spun around and gave him a hug, "Still annoyed for last time. What are you doing home so early? I thought you were gonna hang out with the others."

"And I thought I promised you that I would spend some time with you today," Danny smiled.

"Yay!" Dani cheered.

"Hold on, you two," said Maddie, "Danny, we need to talk."

"About what?" he asked.

"We got a call from Mr. Lancer," Maddie explained, "How you missed school again?"

"Oh, that?" Danny asked, "Yeah, sorry. A ghost showed up and-"

"Danny, come with me," Jack sighed, "You need to hear this too, Danielle."

The two look-a-likes glanced at one another for a moment before they followed Jack upstairs. He led them into the kitchen.

"Danny, we understand why you have been missing class these past couple of years," Jack explained, "However, your mother and I have agreed that your grades are more important-"

"More important than protecting everyone!?" Danny exclaimed.

"Hold on, let me finish," Jack told him as he began brewing coffee in the coffee machine, "Your grades are more important, and we'd prefer if you would contact us and have us handle it. Or Trevor or Danielle."

"I'd prefer not to put Danielle in unnecessary danger," Danny admitted, "And last time I asked Trevor to help, he asked if I was blind, had broken limbs, or lost my powers."

"What did you say back?" Dani asked, playfully floating around on her back.

"What do you think?" Danny smirked.

"Ok, fair enough," Jack sighed, "However, your mother and I are always available to take care of the situation."

Danny opened his mouth to argue, but Jack held up his hand.

"And we are also aware that there are circumstances where you must take action. Overshadowing and multiple ghosts, for example," Jack listed out, "You're almost an adult, we trust that you can make your own and correct decisions about these things. We also promise to not embarrass you. We just want what's best for your future."

"Jeez, you sound almost like Sam's parents," Danny chuckled as he leaned his back against the wall and thought it over for a moment.

"I guess we could try," he sighed, "At least try not to embarrass me."

"A promise is a promise, Danny," Jack smiled just as the coffee machine began to sputter, "Oh, no, you don't! Do not short out on me again!"

Dani glanced down and raised an eyebrow as Jack began to wrestle with the coffee maker.

"He turned it into an anti-ghost weapon," Danny explained to her, "He accidentally shorted everything when he was making coffee once, except for the parts that actually make the coffee."

"I'll fix her up someday," Jack announced as he slammed the coffee maker back on the counter, "The Anti-Ghost Coffee Machine will be a marvel, you'll see."

"Yeah, sure, dad," Danny chuckled as he went into the living room, "Hey, Danielle, did you leave the TV on?"

"Oops, sorry!" Dani called out from the kitchen.

"No worries," Danny replied, "I'll turn it off."

Just as he reached for the remote, he overheard the latest report.

"-teenagers have been taken to the hospital to treat their anxiety," Tiffany Snow reported, "One of the victims claimed to have seen a large creature with big glowing eyes in the abandoned hotel. Authorities have searched the premise and found no traces of any creature of that description, but recommend people avoid the area in case of the possibility it was a ghost."

"What was that I heard!?" Jack called from the kitchen, "A ghost sighting!?"

"Yeah," Danny replied as he turned the TV off and went back into the kitchen, "Guess a ghost scared a group of- WHAT HAPPENED IN HERE!?"

Coffee was dripping from everywhere; the walls, the ceiling, the table, everywhere.

"Dad had a little trouble with the coffee machine again," Dani chuckled.

Jack turned the machine off and backed away from it slowly.

"I suggest we get in the RV and investigate the abandoned hotel for that ghost before Maddie comes up," said Jack.

"And leave her to clean up the mess?" Dani asked.

"No time to argue, we have to go!" Jack exclaimed as he grabbed Dani's hand and dragged her out to the front door.

Danny ran after them. As soon as they were in the RV, Jack revved the engine and took off. Danny pulled out his cellphone and sent a text. A moment later he got a reply from Trevor.

"Too busy. Might be a waste of time. Stay safe."

Danny shrugged and sent another text message.

"Hey, uh, you wouldn't happen to know where we are going, do you?" Jack asked Danny.

Back at the Fenton Works, the house phone began to ring. Maddie came up, took one look at the kitchen and shook her head just before she grabbed the phone.

"Hello?" she answered.

"Is it ready yet?" Trevor asked.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

"And, perfect!" Sam announced as she placed the last of the Halloween decorations around the kitchen.

An orange jack-o'-lantern with green light sat in the middle of the table and a few bats were hung around the room. A knock came from the door. Sam opened it and was surprised to see Tucker there.

"You forget something?" Sam asked.

"Not me," he replied, "Val did. Left one of her textbooks here. I offered to go grab it for her and meet up with her."

"Right," Sam smirked, "Has nothing to do with anything else?"

"Maybe…" Tucker smirked, "Seriously, though, is her math textbook here?"

"Might be in the library," Sam replied, "Give me a sec."

She rushed off into the library and came back a few seconds later, textbook in hand.

"Here you go, Tucker," Sam said as she handed over to him, "One math textbook, straight from the library of casa de Sam."

"Thanks, Sam," said Tucker, "I'll give this to Val. See you guys later tonight?"

"You bet," Sam replied, "See you then."

Tucker left and Sam closed the door. Her phone beeped and she checked her messages.

"Talked to Trevor yet?" Danny texted.

"Not yet," Sam texted back.

She left the kitchen and made her way upstairs. She stopped in front of the guest room door and knocked.

"Intrude," Trevor called out.

Sam entered and found Trevor sitting in the middle of a ring of paper stacks, books, and his laptop in front of him. He was pushing his personal storage chest back under the bed.

"Jeez, you must be the most serious person I've ever met," Sam noted as she picked up one of the open books and glanced through it, "Isn't this from the library downstairs?"

"Yeah, all of them are," Trevor replied, "Don't worry, I'll put them all back where they belong. I'm not an animal."

"Sooooo… what's all this for?" Sam asked.

"Research on the Lost Vaults," Trevor replied, "I've given up on figuring out where the Orbs of Power are. Figured my time and energy will be better spent looking for the location of the Vaults. I could just strangle the information out of Clockwork, but I'd never hear the end of it."

"From everyone?" Sam asked.

"Give the lady a prize," Trevor said with a sarcastic clap.

Trevor got up and plopped himself on the bed, data pad in hand.

"Did you come in here to rescue your books, or did you have something you and the others wanted to ask me?" he asked without taking his eyes off the datapad.

"Trevor, are you okay?" she asked.

"Just peachy," Trevor groaned, "My brother is dead, or worse-"

"Worse than death?" Sam asked.

"Want to ask Dust what she went through when Reaper had her?" Trevor asked, "That's what I thought."

"Alright, spill it," Sam sighed, "Something's definitely wrong. What's up?"

Trevor's hands fell to his sides and he groaned.

"There's nothing wrong," he replied, "There is… something. But it's personal and it will not affect the mission."

"Is it something physical or mental? Or both?" Sam asked.

"It's coincidental," Trevor sighed, "Literally, it means nothing. Now, not to sound rude, but I've got a lot of information to sift through and more sleep to lose."

"Alright, I'll drop it for now," Sam chuckled, "You going on patrol tonight?"

"Nah, I'm gonna sit it out for tonight and tomorrow," Trevor replied as he lifted his data pad back up, "Besides, the four of you with Jack and Maddie are more than capable of handling anything."

"Even Reaper?" Sam asked.

"Oh, god, please don't let all that training go to waste," Trevor moaned.

"I'll leave you be. Just don't stay up too late," Sam chuckled and left the room, but not before giving Trevor one last worried glance.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

Not far from Sam's place, Valerie waited patiently on a bench at a bus stop, checking the time on her cellphone.

"Ahem," said a voice behind her.

She glanced around and saw Tucker standing there, hands behind his back.

"I believe this belongs to you?" he smirked as he revealed the textbook.

"It does indeed," Valerie smirked, taking it, "Thanks, Tucker."

"Eh, no problem," Tucker shrugged, "Well, I better head home and get ready for tonight."

"Tucker, do you have a minute to talk?" Valerie asked.

"Sure, what's up?" Tucker asked as he sat down next to her.

"Now, don't take this the wrong way," Valerie explained, "but I don't trust Trevor."

Tucker silently stared at her.

"Uh, isn't this the part where you should be defending him?" Valerie asked.

"Trevor isn't very forthcoming with us either, Val," Tucker sighed, "It's hard to trust someone that reluctant to tell us anything."

"You don't trust him either?" Valerie asked.

"I trust him… to an extent," Tucker admitted, "Why are you bringing this up?"

"I can't help but feel that we're being left in the dark on a lot of information," said Valerie, "That file? The one Trevor gave us? What's with all the redacted information? What is he so worried about that he must hide stuff from us?"

"Do you have any ideas?" Tucker asked, getting a bit worried.

"I think there's more to Reaper that Trevor has kept from us," said Valerie, "And I intend to find out exactly what that is."

"How?" Tucker asked.

"To start, this," Valerie revealed, pulling out a small, flat device from her pocket, "It's an upgraded tracker that Vlad gave me before I found out about Danny."

"Wow, this thing is small," Tucker noted, taking it and examining it, "How far can this be tracked?"

"A few hundred miles, at least," Valerie replied, "And on top of that, I can track someone into the Ghost Zone, all the way from my house."

"Wait a minute, Valerie… are you suggesting we track Trevor?" Tucker asked.

"I've got a bad feeling about him, Tucker," Valerie sighed, "And I'd rather deal with the problem sooner rather than later."

"We're talking about the guy who saved you and your father," Tucker pointed out, "I'm not saying Trevor is innocent, but…"

Silence fell between them.

"I'll think about it, Valerie," Tucker sighed, handing her back the tracker and standing up, "I don't think Danny or the others would ever agree to this, but I need time to think about it. Just… don't do anything, okay? Last thing we need is to make a big deal over nothing."

"I won't," Valerie sighed as Tucker walked away, "But we can't afford to waste time."

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

Night soon came, and the abandoned hotel was not vacant as the authorities had presumed.

"This stinks!" Youngblood cried out, "Why did Phantom have to go and ruin all our fun?"

"I think you mean your fun," his assistant pointed out, as he tried his best to repair the broken spaceship.

"Potato, tomato," said Youngblood before angrily kicking the ride, "Stupid thing."

There was a hole in the ceiling above them where they came crashing earlier.

"It's… *Sigh* Never mind," his assistant conceited, "What do you want to do now?"

"Well…" Youngblood began as he looked around the dusty old hotel, "I supposed this would be a great place to hide! Phantom would never find us here."

"And do what, exactly, while we are here?" his assistant asked.

"I dunno," Youngblood shrugged, "It is Halloween tomorrow. Maybe we should plan on how to scare everyone!"

"We already scared off four idiotic teenagers earlier," his assistant pointed out, "And all we had to do was come crashing in."

"Yeah, but that was boring," Youngblood said childishly, "And those police people would have just made a bunch of noise. I want to scare people like it were a horror movie!"

The assistant glanced through the boarded-up window and saw a vehicle approaching.

"Wait, was it us who-" Youngblood began.

"Perhaps you may get that chance tonight," his assistant interrupted.

Youngblood floated over to the window and peeked outside. The Fenton RV stopped just before the steps of the hotel. Jack stepped out of the vehicle, Fenton Grappler ** in one hand, and a ghost tracker in the other. Danielle slowly got out and quickly ran behind the RV to barf.

"Ooh, this is gonna be great!" Youngblood chuckled.

The ghost glanced up and saw a barn owl staring at him. A mischievous smile crawled on his face.

"I know what to do," he smiled at his assistant.

"Next time, dad," Danny said wearily as he got out, "Danielle and I will fly."

"No time to waste, Danny!" Jack exclaimed, "It's time to hunt for ghosts!"

"You okay?" Danny asked Danielle as she approached him.

"Next time, we'll-"

"Fly," Danny finished for her, "Yeah, I know."

"I'VE GOT SOMETHING!" Jack exclaimed as he reached the front doors.

Danny and Danielle raised the arms and went ghost. Jack paused when a flash of white beamed from behind him. When he looked over, he saw the two Phantoms standing behind him.

"Still getting used to that?" Danny asked.

"I'm not sure any parent would get used to their children turning into ghosts," Jack pointed out, "Anyways, here. Take a look."

Jack showed them the ghost tracker, which appeared to have detected two ghosts.

"Are you sure that's not us, dad?" Danny asked.

"Impossible," Jack explained, "Your mother and I recalibrated our instruments so that you two and Specter would remain undetected under theses settings. We couldn't do anything about Dust since she's not a half-ghost."

"Well, if it's two ghosts, could it be Youngblood and his assistant?" Dani asked, "I mean, you did blow them away earlier."

"Yes," Danny groaned, "Yes, it's possible."

He grabbed one of his father's shoulders and turned himself and Jack intangible. Dani followed suit and the three phased through the front door. The recording equipment that the group of teenagers brought with them were still lying on the ground.

"This place is a wreck," Dani pointed out as the group turned tangible.

"It's an old hotel," Jack explained, "It was shut down about 10 years ago."

"Why? Was it ghosts?" Danny joked.

"Nah, just poor business," Jack explained, "Owners refused to keep up with the times. Shame, really. This place used to be quite something."

"And now it's just a dirty junkyard," Dani stated, looking at all the garbage trespassers have left inside.

On the balcony above them, Youngblood looked over and chuckled.

"Time to have some fun," he giggled to himself.

Suddenly, the two Phantoms' ghost sense went off and they began to glance around.

"What's wrong, Phantom!?" Youngblood called out, "Wondering where the ghosts are?"

"Yup, definitely Youngblood," Danny muttered.

"What's that, Danny?" Jack asked, looking up from the tracker.

"It's Youngblood," Danny replied, "He's here."

"How do you know?" Jack asked.

"He was just talking," said Dani, "Didn't you hear him?"

"Hear what?" Jack asked.

"It's no use, Danielle," said Danny, "Youngblood can make it so that only certain people can hear him." ***

"What!?" Jack exclaimed, "A ghost? That I can't hear!?"

"Or see," Danny added.

"WHAT!?" Jack exclaimed, "No ghost will outsmart Jack Fenton!"

"Aw, look at the big guy having a fit," Youngblood teased.

His voice was projected into the room next to the entrance.

"He's in here," said Dani, and she flew inside.

Danny and Jack followed her inside, but there was no sign of Youngblood.

"I'm not getting anything in this room," Jack stated as he watched the tracker, "Sorry, Dani, you must have just missed him."

"You were so close," Youngblood teased.

"He's back in the entrance!" Danny exclaimed and led them back to the first room, "He's not here either!"

"You know, Phantom, there's more than one direction a ghost can hide," Youngblood teased as he waved his hand over towards a tall figure behind him, "Like for example… up?"

At the signal, the figure telekinetically released a dusty, large cabinet from above the group.

*BAAANNGG*

The crash echoed throughout the apartment as dust clouded the entire entrance, engulfing the two Phantoms and Jack. Jack coughed and dropped the ghost tracker.

"GHOST!" he screamed, holding tight to the Fenton Grappler and fired it wildly around.

"Dad, wai- WHOA!" Danny exclaimed as he was ensnared in a net and launched into the next room.

"Watch where you're- HEY!" Dani shouted as she was caught in a net as well and disappeared into the room opposite of where Danny went.

"Take this! And that! And some of this, ghost!" Jack shouted as he continued to fire.

Up on the balcony, Youngblood was rolling the ground, laughing hysterically as a tall dark figure stood behind him.

"This is better than I had imagined!" he exclaimed, "I should have thought of something like this a long time ago!"

In the middle of the room she was sent to, Dani sat on the ground and struggled inside the net. Unfortunately, half-ghost or not, the net had her trapped good.

"C'mon, let me go," she growled as she struggled.

Suddenly, a strong breeze whooshed by her.

"Huh? Hello?" Dani asked, "Danny? Is that you?"

No one answered.

"Is someone there?" she asked.

Silence. Dani shrugged and continued to try and break free from the net. She was unaware of the tall dark figure slowly approaching her from behind. Her ghost sense went off and a sudden chill went up Dani's spine. She slowly turned her head and looked up to see two large yellow eyes staring down at her. Meanwhile, Jack was still firing like it was the wild west.

"Take that! And this!" Jack exclaimed as the dust began to settle, "You want some more of…"

His voice trailed off as he opened one of his eyes and glanced around.

"This?" he finished, "Well… guess that's another victory for one Jack Fenton!"

"Uh, dad?" Danny called out from the next room, "A little help please?"

Jack walked inside the room Danny was in and found him sitting on the ground, arms crossed and not looking happy.

"Whoops. Sorry, Danny," Jack apologized and helped him out of the net, "You okay? I didn't hurt you, did I?"

"Nah, I'm fine," Phantom replied as he stood up and dusted himself off, "Hey, where's Danielle?"

"I thought she was with you," said Jack.

"She must be around here somewhere," said Danny, "Maybe she was trapped in a net as well."

Danny and Jack carefully walked back into the first room and looked around.

"She's not here," Danny stated, "Danielle!? You here!?"

Jack glanced over at the opposite doorway and saw a faint light coming from inside.

"Danny, over here," Jack called out.

Danny followed him into the room, where they saw Dani lying on the ground under a net.

"Dani? You okay!?" Danny asked, getting the net off her and shaking her awake.

"Uuuuhhh…" Dani moaned, "Danny?"

"You okay?" Jack asked, "I'm sorry, Danielle, I didn't mean to get you hurt."

"Hurt…?" Dani asked before her eyes widened, "The ghost! Where did it go!? Did you see it!?"

"Youngblood?" Danny asked, "I don't know. He might still be around."

"No, not him!" Dani exclaimed, quickly lifting off the ground, "There's another ghost!"

"His assistant?" Danny asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No, this one was big," said Dani, "It was tall and looked like a moving shadow. And it had two giant yellow eyes, the size of dinner plates."

"Whoa, whoa, Dani, calm down!" Jack exclaimed, putting a hand on her shoulder, "Here, take a look."

He held out the ghost tracker, which showed no sign of any ghosts. Dani snatched it out of his hands and stared at the screen.

"But… it was just here…" Dani exclaimed, turning to Danny, "It was staring at me… with those huge yellow eyes…"

"You sure you didn't hit your head?" Danny asked, brushing his fingers across her head, "I don't feel any bumps."

"I'm fine, Danny!" Dani snapped, "But I think that ghost was the same one that scared those teenagers earlier!"

"I doubt it," Danny sighed, "Youngblood almost always has his assistant with him. And last I saw them, they went sailing into the horizon together."

"Hmmmm…" Dani groaned, not convinced.

"Alright, come on, you two," said Jack, "There's no sign of any ghosts here now. We might as well head back and go look around for more!"

"I think Dani's had enough for one night," said Danny, "Maybe we should drop her off home-"

"No, I'm fine, really," said Dani, "Maybe I did hit my head, but I'm fine."

"Alright," Danny sighed, "But if anything happens, you are going back home."

The three left the room and made their way out of the building. No one was aware of the large yellow eyes glowing from the darkness as soon as they left.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

The next day, Halloween had arrived and Casper High was decorated in celebration of the occasion. Flying around outside, Wick was being chased by Specter, avoiding his pyro attacks as what little wax he had left was melting away. Inside, Danny, Tucker, Sam, and Valerie met in the halls for lunch and made their way to their lockers.

"Tucker, why do you have that pumpkin trick-or-treat bucket?" Valerie asked.

"Let's just say we've had issues with a ghost on Halloween before," Tucker smirked.

"Seriously?" Valerie asked the others and they nodded in response, "Weird."

"We've seen weirder," Danny laughed, "And I doubt Fright Knight will be the least of our worries tonight."

"What makes you say that?" Sam asked.

"Danielle thought she saw something last night when we went to investigate that old, abandoned hotel," Danny explained, "She claimed she saw large glowing eyes, like the news reported."

"Was it a ghost?" Valerie asked.

"I dunno," Danny replied, "My dad did get us caught in anti-ghost nets, so she could have just hit her head and saw stars or something. Even if it was something, I bet it was just Youngblood's assistant."

"Ugh, that shapeshifting guy?" Sam asked, "How does he stand Youngblood?"

"Are you sure it's Youngblood?" Tucker asked as he pulled out his PDA.

"We heard him with our own ears," said Danny.

"Danny, take a look," said Tucker as he showed his PDA to him, "Last night, there were at least a dozen incidents where people were scared out of their homes. All of them claimed to have been scared by a tall shadow figure with large eyes."

"So Youngblood scared a lot of people last night," said Danny, "How does that help?"

"Danny, half of these occurred at the exact same time, but in different locations," Tucker explained, "And unless Amorpho has returned, I'm betting there's another ghost in town."

"Hmmm…" Danny pondered as he opened his locker, "Well, maybe we'll look into more tonigh- WHOAAA!"

As soon as he opened his locker, Danny was startled by a dozen rubber bats launched off springs towards him. He fell and landed on his butt.

"You okay, Danny?" Sam asked, hurrying over and helping him up.

Behind the group, Dash and the other A-listers could be heard laughing.

"Happy Halloween, Fentina!" Dash laughed.

"Oh, real mature, Dash," said Danny as he pulled the gags out of his locker and shoved his books inside, "Let's get out of here."

Danny began to lead the others to the cafeteria, but Dash moved in his way. Danny tried going around him, but Dash would just sidestep in his way again.

"Ugh, Dash, would you mind leaving us alone?" Danny asked, irritated.

"Nah-uh," Dash smirked, crossing his arms, "You may have gotten off easy yesterday…"

He cracked his knuckles.

"… but that won't happen today," he finished.

"Give me a break," Danny remarked, rolling his eyes and pushing his way passed Dash.

The bully grabbed the back of Danny's head and slammed it into a nearby locker.

"Danny!" Sam exclaimed.

She ran towards Dash, but the other A-listers blocked her path.

"Going somewhere?" Paulina taunted, "Trying to save your boyfriend?"

"Get out of my way, Paulina," Sam growled.

"Or what? Are you going to break on of my nails?" Paulina teased.

"I'll break more than that," Sam growled as Tucker and Valerie came to her sides.

"Oh, how sweet," Dash laughed, as he grabbed Danny's wrist and twisted his arm behind his back, "Your girlfriend is trying to be the hero. Not very manly of you, Fenturd!"

Danny groaned in discomfort.

"Dash, just leave us alone, man," said Tucker, "This is getting a bit out of hand."

"At this rate, I will be out a hand," Danny quipped before grimacing in pain, "Dash, seriously, you're gonna dislocate my shoulder."

"You know the best thing about breaking toys, Fentoad?" Dash asked, "I can always get a new one. Like that cousin of yours."

"What are you talking about?" Danny asked before his eyes turned neon green in rage, "Are you threatening Danielle!?"

He slipped out of Dash's grip and shoved him against the locker on the opposite side of the hall. Dash grabbed Danny by the throat and slammed him against the locker.

"ENOUGH!"

Everyone turned and saw Trevor slowly walking down the hall. He had his flat cap and shades on. Danny's eyes returned to their baby blue color.

"Who's that?" Kwan asked, scratching his head, "He looks familiar."

"Yeah… he does," Dash noted before turning to Danny, "Isn't that the twerp who's been hanging out with you? You must be a baby hanging out with kids like him!"

"Wow, impressive that your pea-sized brain is capable of even making complete sentences," Trevor remarked, "Guess Jazz's tutoring had some effect after all."

Everyone's mouths hung open as Dash slowly turned his head to face Trevor.

"Did you just call me stupid!?" he shouted as he dropped Danny.

"I would call you a 6-letter R-word, but given how sensitive this country gets in a few years, I'd rather not throw fuel in that tiny flame," Trevor said flatly, "Why don't we go with… dumbass?"

"Big talk coming from a boy who just got out of diapers," Dash growled.

"Big talk coming from a bipedal bitch," Trevor fired back, "Seriously, this is a waste of time. Is it too much for your hollow head to figure out how to be constructive member of society?"

"…. What?" Dash asked.

"Let me put it in terms even a lobotomized monkey can understand," Trevor sighed, "Stop being a dick."

"Forget Danielle, once I'm done with Fentina, I'm making you my next punching bag," Dash threatened.

Danny, Sam, Tucker, and Valerie were stunned, glancing at one another as they wondered what Trevor was gonna do. Trevor closed his eye and took a deep breath through his nose. His right hand began to glow blue as he telekinetically grabbed a locker door at the other end of the hall and slammed it, getting everyone's attention. With no one looking, Trevor lunged at Dash as a blue ring appeared around his waist and he went ghost. He turned intangible and overshadowed Dash, turning his eyes blue.

"Hey, guys!" 'Dash' exclaimed, "Look what I can do!"

Everyone turned and watched as 'Dash slammed his own head against the lockers three times before running into the boys' bathroom.

*SPLAASH*

A moment later, Trevor came out of the bathroom.

"Can someone explain why he shoved his head in the toilet?" he asked the A-listers.

The group pushed passed Trevor and the boys went inside as the girls waited outside. Trevor walked towards the others and gestured to them to follow him up the stairs that led to the second floor. They followed him up and vanished around the corner just as Dash and the other A-listers went looking for them.

"What did you do to Dash?" Danny asked.

"Gave him a bad headache, possibly a blackeye, and a swirly," Trevor replied as he pulled out a Fenton Thermos, "Now, if you guys don't mind, I would like to take this troublemaker back to the Fenton Works and get back to looking for the Lost Vaults."

"Thanks for dealing with him for us," Danny told him, "I know this seems unusual, but-"

"It's fine, Danny, don't worry about it," Trevor interrupted, "And just be glad that's all I did to Dash."

"Hey, that was good enough for us," Valerie chuckled as she playfully slapped Trevor on the back, "Dash had it comin'."

"Right," said Trevor, "Now, if you guys don't mind…"

A blue ring appeared around his waist.

"I'll be leaving now."

Specter turned intangible and vanished into the wall.

"Well… that happened," Danny chuckled before turning to Sam, "You sure he's okay?"

"I'm more concerned about you, Danny. Are you okay?" Sam asked, checking his neck, "Dash bruised you up pretty good this time."

"I'm fine, Sam," Danny assured her and took her hand in his, "Now, I don't know about you guys… but I'm starving."

"You're tellin' me!" Tucker whined, "I had to miss breakfast this morning!"

"Come on," Sam laughed, "Let's head to the cafeteria before Dash and the others find us again."

Danny and Sam led Tucker and Valerie back downstairs, unaware that Valerie was pulling out a tracker and showed it to Tucker, who nodded in response. As soon as Danny and Sam reached the bottom of the stairs and turned the corner, they stopped just before bumping in Lancer.

"Uh, Mr. Lancer!" Danny exclaimed, quickly letting go of Sam's hand, "Sorry for almost bumping into you."

Lancer eyed the two teens and Tucker and Valerie as they appeared. He had a stern, yet calm look on his face.

"Is there a problem, sir?" Sam asked nervously.

"No, not at all," Lancer smiled, "But I do believe the cafeteria is that way."

He thumbed his shoulder, back towards the direction of the cafeteria.

"Oh, uh… yeah, we just had to make a quick stop upstairs," Danny lied.

"Mhm," Lancer replied, "Well enjoy your lunch. And stay out of trouble, Mr. Fenton. I wouldn't want to give you more homework."

"Yes, sir," Danny replied and led his friends down the hall.

Lancer watched them walk away and pondered for a moment before walking away.

That evening, everyone in Amity Park prepared for the night. Sam was no exception. She tore open a bag of candy and poured the contents into a large bowl that looked like a jack-o'-lantern. The shrieks of terrified people filled the air and Sam couldn't help but chuckle.

"Ahh, haunted houses," she smiled, "Always fun."

Suddenly, Dust phased through the ceiling and landed on the edge of the bowl.

"You're still here?" she asked, slightly worried, "I thought you and the others would already be out on patrol."

"Given the circumstance, we figured we'd the ghosts some time to enjoy themselves," Sam replied, "As long as they don't cause too much trouble."

"Yeah… sure," Dust replied, rolling her eyes as she tapped her talons nervously.

"What's with you?" Sam asked, "I've never seen you so worried."

"Nothing," Dust lied, "Just…"

"Shush," Sam told her, "You hear that?"

"Nope!" Dust replied, ignoring the piano music that could be faintly heard, "Must be hearing things, Sam."

Sam glared at the ghost raven for a moment before she made her way towards the library.

"Sam, wait!" Dust exclaimed, flying towards her, "There's nothing-"

Sam opened the doors to the library and found Trevor sitting at the piano, playing a slow rendition of 'Happy Birthday'. She raised an eyebrow as Dust darted passed her and landed in front of Trevor.

"Dust, relax," he told her as he continued to play, "Get back in the medallion."

Dust sighed as she materialized into a mist and went into the medallion.

"Trevor?" Sam asked, approaching him, "What's this about?"

"What do you think?" Trevor replied, "Pretty sure the song says it all."

Sam stood by as Trevor finished the song.

"So… this is the personal thing?" she asked, "Your birthday?"

"Couldn't give two shits about my birthday," Trevor replied, "Not exactly how I pictured turning 13."

"Then… what's wrong?" Sam asked, "There must be a reason why-"

"You wanna know the sad irony about being me?" Trevor asked, "I have a crippled older sister, a dead younger sister, and a missing slash dead brother. What do all three have in common?"

"Uh..."

"Reaper," Trevor chuckled, "Yeah, shocking, right? And you guys are right… Reaper was involved. He killed my little sister, put my older sister in a wheelchair, and took my brother. And you know the best part?"

Trevor was starting to chuckle like he was going insane.

"Ahhhh…" he sighed, "Today is also the 5-year-anniversary of my sister's death."

"Trevor-"

"I'm not looking for sympathy, Sam," he said, "Nor am I looking for revenge. I've been dealing with crap for 5 years now and capturing Reaper would make it all worth the trouble. So, I'm asking you, as your ally, please, help me capture this bastard once and for all."

"… Okay," she replied, "Anything else?"

"Don't tell the others about this," he told her, "It's not your and anyone else's business, but I'm trusting you with this."

"I won't tell them," Sam sighed, "And we will get Reaper."

She gave him a gentle pat on the shoulder before leaving.

"Oh, Sam…" Trevor sighed as he rubbed his eyes, "Were it so simple."

When he opened his eyes, his irises burned a golden yellow with blue electricity and flames flickering from the edges.

At the Gray residence, Damon was busy handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters.

"Happy Halloween!" he called out to the kids as they rushed away to the next house.

He closed the door, bowl of candy in one hand, and turned to see his daughter getting ready to leave.

"Where are you going this late?" he asked.

"Meeting up with Tucker to finish our homework," Valerie replied.

"Really?" Damon asked with interest, "You've been hanging out with that boy quite frequently, Valerie."

"So what?" Valerie asked, "It's not like we're dating or anything."

"Are you though?" Damon smiled.

"What!? No!" Valerie exclaimed.

"But didn't he ask you to the Halloween dance last year?"

"It was the one time," Valerie explained as she put a jacket on, "We're just friends."

"Shame," Damon smirked, "He seems like a decent guy."

"He really is," Valerie smiled.

She noticed what she had just said and hurried out the door.

"Gotta go. See you later, daddy!" she called out.

"Don't stay out too late!" Damon shouted back, "Oh, who am I kiddin'?"

As Valerie began making her way down the street, she quickly stepped to the side to allow a group of trick-or-treaters to rush by, excited to fill their already overstuffed bags with more candy.

"Excuse us," their parents told her as they chased after the children.

Valerie chuckled to herself as she turned onto a short dirt path through a small patch of woods. It wasn't too dark, thanks to the full moon in the sky, but the naked trees made the surrounds more eerie than usual. As she entered the woods, Valerie was followed by a tall shadow figure that darted amongst the trees. A strong gust of wind briefly blew by her, causing her the hug herself and shiver.

"Jeez, it sure got cold all of a sudden," Valerie muttered to herself, "If I didn't know any better, I would have thought Phantom was using his ice powers."

*SNAP*

"What was that?" Valerie hissed, whipping her head in the direction of the sound.

The bushes rustled and dead leaves flipped into the air, as though someone had just rushed off from the very spot. Valerie glanced around as she summoned her suit and pulled out her blaster.

"I know you're out there," she muttered to herself, "Where are you?"

The shadow figure appeared behind her, looking down at her. As soon as it opened its eyes, a emitted a deep yellow light and Valerie's eyes widened. She quickly spun around, took aim, and fired.

"Wait, Reaper did WHAT!?" Tucker exclaimed.

"Quiet!" Sam hissed.

They had met up in front of the Nasty Burger, since Tucker got the munchies and needed a burger, which was now half devoured.

"You're saying Reaper did kill Trevor's sister?" Tucker asked.

"Yup," Sam replied flatly as she leaned against the building, "And today is his birthday and the 5-year-anniversary since she was killed."

Tucker released a long whistle.

"That's quite a backstory," he said, "And even after he asked you not to, you tell me?"

"What's he gonna do?" Sam smirked.

"Fair enough…" Tucker replied as he swallowed more of the burger, "Hey, where's Danny?"

"He's taking Dani out trick-or-treating," Sam replied, "Let's just say Danny's not too happy with her."

"What makes you say that?" Tucker asked.

"Would you trust a half-ghost child on Halloween?" she asked.

"Hmm…" Tucker replied, smirking.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

"Here you go," the woman said as she gave a handful of candy to the child, "Happy Halloween."

"Thank you!" Danielle exclaimed.

She was wearing a black witch's costume and was enjoying herself. She turned and walked away as the woman closed the door. Not even 5 seconds passed by before the doorbell rang. She opened the door and found Dani Phantom standing at her door.

"Trick or treat!" she said.

"Oh, hello, there!" the woman exclaimed, "Aren't you a cutie? Here, have some candy."

She reached into the bowl of candy and put a handful into her bag.

"Thank you!" said Dani as she turned on her heels and rushed away.

Danny waited for her by the street. Dani approached him and raised an eyebrow.

"What's wrong?" she asked as she reverted to human, "Did I do something wrong?"

"You can't just change so you can get extra candy, Danielle," Danny remarked.

"Can't we just say it's to make up for all the Halloweens I would have missed?" Dani grinned innocently.

"That's not gonna fly with anyone," Danny replied, shaking his head and trying his best not to smile as Danielle ran off to the next house.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

"What's taking Valerie so long?" Sam asked, "It's not like her to be late."

"She's not picking up either," Tucker replied, putting his phone away, "She's not answering the Fenton phone either. You don't think she-"

Suddenly, dark pink anti-ghost rays could be seen flying through the air a few blocks away.

"I do now!" Sam exclaimed as she and Tucker ran off towards the blasts.

As the two hurried to her position, the Red Huntress was sitting on the ground, firing her blaster at the shadow figure that had scared her out of her wit.

"No one gets the jump on me!" she shouted, "Oh, jeez, Danny's father is rubbing off on me."

The shadow appeared to morph its body to create holes and avoid being hit by the blasts as it continued to stare at the Red Huntress. She stopped firing, reached behind her back, pulled out a grenade and threw it at the creature. It exploded in a marvel of purple anti-ghost energy before the shadow. Valerie gripped her blaster and resumed firing up it. After a few moments, she ceased fire. The dust cleared, revealing no trace of the creature. A few of the trees around her had been singed by the blasts. Valerie heaved as she got up on her feet and glanced around. That's when a hand grabbed her shoulder from behind.

"EEEKK!" she shrieked as she spun around and smacked something with her blaster.

"OW!" Tucker exclaimed, rubbing his nose, "Relax, it's only us!"

"Tucker?" Valerie gasped, "Oh, gosh, I'm so sorry! Are you okay!?"

"I'm fine," Tucker replied, wiggling his nose, "Just an ache."

"Are you okay, Valerie?" Sam asked, "We saw the blasts all the way from the Nasty Burger."

"Yeah," the Red Huntress sighed, "Just came across that… thing that Dani saw last night."

"Uh, my boyfriend or the short one?" Sam asked.

"Danielle," Valerie clarified before glancing around once more, "But it looks like it's gone now."

"Over here…"

"Hm?" Sam muttered, turning towards the direction the whisper came from.

"What did you see?" Tucker asked Valerie.

"Some freaky shadow thing with large yellow eyes," Valerie explained, "I don't even know what it was. Some giant creature or a ghost... I-I don't know."

"Well, it couldn't have gotten far," said Tucker, "We should look around and see… hey, where's Sam?"

He and the Red Huntress looked around, but Sam was nowhere to be found.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

At the Fenton Works, the front door swung open and Danny led Danielle inside, along with two, overstuffed trash bags of candy.

"There is no way you are eating all the candy by yourself," Danny told her.

"Oh, yeah?" Danielle replied before reaching inside one of the bags and shoving a whole chocolate bar in her mouth, "Wat-sh mee!"

She turned around and ran upstairs to secure her bounty. Danny rolled his eyes as his cellphone rang and he answered.

"He-"

"Danny, we can't find Sam!" Tucker exclaimed, not giving Danny time to say something as he answered.

"Tucker, calm down," Danny sighed, "What happened?"

"Valerie ran into that shadow Danielle saw yesterday," Tucker explained, "Sam and I went to her to see what was going on. But just moments after we got there, Sam just VANISHED!"

"Tucker, Sam can take care of herself," Danny replied, "Relax."

"… okay, who are you and what have you done with Danny?" Tucker asked, "Dude, your girlfriend is missing."

"Heard you loud and clear before, Tucker," Danny replied, "Yes, I'm worried, but we can't freak out every time one of us goes missing. I'll send Danielle to meet up with you guys while I look around."

"We're in the woods near Valerie's place," said Tucker.

Danny hung up and hurried upstairs.

"Danielle?" he called out, knocking on her door, "I need you to meet up with Tucker and Valerie."

"Why?" Danielle asked as she opened the door, swallowing whatever candy was in her mouth, "Something happen?"

"Sam went missing," Danny explained, "It could be nothing, but I'd rather not leave anything to chance."

"Sam's missing!?" Danielle exclaimed as a white ring appeared around her waist and split into two, "We have to find her!"

"Hold on, there's something else," Danny told her, grabbing her wrist as she tried to fly off, "Valerie saw something tonight. It may have been the thing you saw last night."

"I knew I saw something," Dani hissed, "Where are they?"

"The woods, not far from where Valerie lives," Danny replied, "Know where it is?"

"Yeah, it's the one with the trail," said Dani, "What will you be doing?"

Just as Danny opened his mouth to speak, a mist came out of his and Dani's mouths, although she didn't notice. Danny glanced around and saw two large yellow eyes staring at them through the bedroom window.

"THERE IT IS!" Danny exclaimed as a white ring appeared around his waist.

The shadow was startled and vanished behind the wall. The two Phantoms phased out of the house and floated outside, looking for the creature.

"It's gone!" Dani cried out.

"It couldn't have gone far," said Danny, "Go meet up with Tucker and Valerie. I'll go look for that… thing."

Dani nodded and flew off to find the others while Danny glanced around for any sign of the creature. His phone vibrates and he pulls it out to see a message from Trevor.

"Head for the park."

"The park?" Danny asked, raising an eyebrow, "The heck? I don't have time for this."

He dialed Trevor's number and waited for him to answer.

"Can't a guy get some work done in peace?" Trevor asked, sounding much less annoyed than Danny had expected.

"Do you know something that we don't?" Danny asked.

"Neniu feko, Sherlock," Trevor replied, "Wanna be more specific?"

(No shit, Sherlock)

"Do you know where Sam is?" Danny asked.

"She went missing?" Trevor asked, genuinely surprised.

"Yeah…" Danny replied, "Which you didn't know."

"I do now," Trevor muttered, "Given the ghosts we know that are currently out of the Ghost Zone, my money's on Youngblood. Little shit is probably using his voice projection to mess with her."

"What makes you say that?" Danny asked.

"Danielle told me about last night," Trevor explained, "It sounds EXACTLY what he would do. Separate his victims one by one and prank them. Or worse."

"Yeah, that reeeaally makes me feel better," Danny remarked.

"Look, all I know is that a little bird told me that something was going on at the park," Trevor explained, "Who, what, how, and why, I don't freakin' know. I'm busying saving this timeline from Reaper's shenanigans."

"Alright, fine," Danny sighed, "I'll take a look and see what's going on at the park. You can tell Dust I said thanks."

"What? I never-"

Before Trevor could finish what he was saying, Danny hung up and flew towards the park.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

Not far from the woods, Tucker and Valerie, who was no longer wearing her suit, were walking around the neighborhood looking for Sam.

"I don't see her anywhere," said Tucker.

"Me neither," said Valerie, "Ugh… this is annoying."

A group of trick-or-treaters rushed by them.

"Hey, do you think it was smart to put that tracker on Trevor?" Valerie asked.

"Well, so far he's been staying at Sam's the whole night," Tucker replied, showing Trevor's location on his PDA, "We'll know wherever he goes."

"Wait, I thought only I could track him," said Valerie as she glared at Tucker.

"Well…. I may or may not have hacked into your suit," Tucker chuckled nervously.

"Tucker…" Valerie growled through gritted teeth.

"In my defense, this was before you found out about Danny's, uh… secret," Tucker explained.

"Oh, right…" Valerie replied.

*Ding*

"Hey, Tucker?" she smiled, "How familiar with Vladco tech are you?"

"Too familiar if you ask me," Tucker replied, slightly grimacing, "Why?"

"Well… since Vlad is unable to do any maintenance or upgrades to my suit, and with your knowledge with his tech, would you be willing to help with that?" Valerie asked.

"I thought you knew how to do all that," said Tucker.

"I did… until Technus upgraded it,****" Valerie admitted, embarrassed, "I've been able to make slight modifications and checkups here and there, but…"

"Well, Technus' tech- heh heh, Tech tech," Tucker smirked to himself, earning him a hidden smile from Valerie, "With his tech, I'm well acquainted with it. I wouldn't mind helping you out, Valerie."

"Thanks, Tucker," said Valerie.

"Catcher in the Rye! Get out of here!" a man shouted nearby, getting the teens' attention, "You are not TP-ing my house!"

Tucker and Valerie watched as a group of teenagers ran off, toilet paper in hand, as Mr. Lancer chased them away with a garden hose. He stopped as he reached the sidewalk.

"Delinquents," Lancer sighed.

"Mr. Lancer?" Tucker asked, getting his attention.

"My, what a surprise to see you here, Mr. Foley," Lancer greeted, "You as well, Ms. Gray. To what do I owe this unexpected visit?"

"We were just taking a night walk together," Tucker explained.

"Is that so?" Lancer asked, "And I hope you are not taking the same steps as Mr. Fenton and neglecting your education?"

"No worries, sir," Tucker smiled, "Everything has been completed. Danny's finished as well."

"Is that right?" Lancer asked, "I hope he intends to complete all his work by the time he graduates."

"He will," said Valerie.

Suddenly, a flash a white light briefly appeared behind Lancer, causing Tucker's and Valerie's eyes to widen. Lancer spun around and turned the nozzle of the hose on, spraying the nearby bush.

"Hey!" a girl exclaimed.

"Get out and show yourself!" Lancer ordered.

Slowly stepping out of the bushes, a soaking wet Danielle made her way towards the group.

"Danielle?" Valerie asked.

"You know this one?" Lancer asked, raising an eyebrow as Danielle approached.

"Yeah, she's Danny's little sister," Tucker replied.

"Sister?" Lancer asked, surprised, "I was aware of an older sister, but not a younger one."

"She's actually his cousin," Valerie explained, "Danny's aunt was unable to raise her, so Danny's parents are in the process of adopting her."

"I see," said Lancer, "But why is she here?"

"Uh… We were actually going on a walk with her, and she ran off," Valerie lied, "We took her trick-or-treating earlier and Danny took her candy home."

"Is that so?" Lancer asked suspiciously, looking at Danielle.

"Um… *Gulp* Y-yeah…" Danielle answered nervously.

Lancer gave her a hard stare for a moment.

"Well, in that case, my apologies for spraying you with water," he told her, "And I hope you are more like Jazz than Daniel."

"No comment," Danielle smiled nervously as a mist began to form around the area.

"I figured it was too much to wish for," Lancer sighed before he froze in place and stared in horror.

"Uh, hello?" she asked, waving her hand up, "You okay?"

She turned to Tucker and Valerie, who were shaking in terror, and raised an eyebrow. That's when her ghost sense went off. She slowly turned around and looked up to see a large pair of glowing yellow eyes staring down at her. Lancer fainted and fell to the ground just before Tucker, Valerie, and Danielle screamed in terror and ran.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

In the middle of the park, Sam slowly made her way around, armed with the Fenton Wrist Ray and aiming it around.

"Where'd you go?" she muttered to herself.

"Sam?"

"AAIIGGHH!" Sam shrieked as she spun around and fired the wrist ray.

"Whoa, whoa, hey! It's me!" Danny exclaimed, grabbing her wrist to avoid getting blasted.

"Oh, it's you," Sam sighed, "Sorry."

"What are you doing here?" Phantom asked as he landed on the ground beside her, "Tucker and Valerie were worried about you."

"I heard whispering," Sam explained.

"Whispering?" Phantom asked.

"I don't know," Sam sighed, "It sounded like…"

"Like this?"

"Yeah, that," said Sam.

She and Phantom stared at one another for a moment before realizing they weren't alone.

*WUMP*

Suddenly, something large darted through the air and tackled Phantom to the ground, dragging him a few feet.

"Danny!" Sam exclaimed and aimed her wrist ray.

Phantom glared up to see glowing yellow eyes staring at him. He turned his body intangible and vanished into the ground. The ghost glanced around in confusion as to where Phantom went before a green ecto-energy blast knocked it away. Phantom phased from the ground as he turned tangible and booted the ghost over the fountain. The dark shadow regained control midair as it spun around and flew away into the bushes. Phantom's legs morphed into a tail as he flew over to Sam, picked her up, and flew after the ghost. Not far, Tucker, Valerie, and Danielle were making a run through the park, screaming in terror. Neither they or Danny and Sam noticed the other until it was too late.

*WUMP*

Everyone moaned in pain as they sat up.

"Ow…" Tucker moaned, "Oh, hey, Sam. Glad we found you."

"Oh, wonderful," Sam muttered half-heartedly as Danny helped her up.

"What are you guys doing here?" Phantom asked, "And were you all screaming?"

"No," Tucker, Valerie, and Danielle answered immediately.

"Oh, that was you?" a voice asked from above.

The team looked up and saw Specter floating above them. His eyes were glowing blue.

"I was wondering what all the screaming was about," he sighed.

"What are you doing here?" Danielle asked, "I thought you were too busy to help us tonight."

"I prefer the term 'mentally unprepared'," Specter replied flatly, "Anyone wanna explain what happened in 15 words or less?"

"Sam disappeared, creepy yellow eyed creature scared us, crashed into them," Valerie explained.

"Followed whispers, met with Danny, found ghost with big scary eyes, crashed into them," Sam added.

Specter took a deep breath and sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Why couldn't I just capture Reaper now and leave," he muttered to himself before focusing on Sam, "So, whispers, huh?"

"Yeah, why?" Sam asked.

"You know the benefits of having enhanced vision?" Specter asked before he spun around and punched the air.

"OOOFF!" Youngblood moaned as he appeared where Specter's fist was.

"Found you," Specter said flatly.

"Aw, no fair, Specter!" Youngblood complained.

"Says the guy with voice manipulation," said Specter as his eyes changed to neon green, "You do realize I can always see you, right?"

"I should have known," Sam sighed.

"Yeah, you should have," said Specter, "Mind telling everyone what has happened tonight, Youngblood."

The young ghost suddenly laughed uncontrollably, grabbing his sides and rolling in the air. Specter gave a long, irritated sigh.

"Clearly this pipsqueak and his assistant have been messing with you guys," he explained as he pulled out a Fenton Thermos and released the ghost inside.

In front of the group was a ghostly shadow with large yellow eyes staring at them.

"What!?" Youngblood exclaimed, no longer laughing, "You let him capture you!?"

"He's quick," his assistant explained as he morphed into a jack-o'-lantern.

"Mind telling the class what you two have been up to?" Specter asked them.

"Pfffft, like that's not obvious!" Youngblood laughed.

"We've been scaring everyone around Amity Park," his assistant admitted calmly, "Albeit, I've been doing most of the scaring."

"So, you were the one who scared me last night?" Danielle asked.

"It was I, yes," his assistant replied.

"And all the people mentioned in the news about some creature with yellow eyes?" Tucker asked.

"That was him alright," Youngblood smirked.

"And the whispering I heard?" Sam asked.

"That was me as well," Youngblood chuckled, "I really had you going, didn't I?"

"And scaring me, Tucker, and Danielle?" Valerie asked.

"That… was not us…" said Youngblood.

"Wait, what?" Danielle asked before pointing at the assistant, "But we saw him!"

"I'm not sure what you saw, but I can guarantee it was not I," he said.

"Alright, back to the Ghost Zone, you two," Specter told them.

"No way!" Youngblood exclaimed and attempted to fly off.

"Typical," Specter muttered as he fired the grapple beam at Youngblood.

"Huh!?" the ghost exclaimed as he was grabbed and pulled in, "No-no-no, wait, NOOOOOOOooooooooo~!"

"You too," Specter said as he quickly captured Youngblood's assistant as well.

"Hold on!" Valerie exclaimed, "We know it was Youngblood and his assistant we saw!"

"Are you so certain?" Specter asked.

"Of course we are," said Valerie.

"It was the exact same thing I saw last night," said Danielle, "What else could it-"

"You know what it really was, don't you?" Phantom interrupted.

"I have a good idea of who it was," Specter admitted, "Meet me in the guest room back at Sam's place in a little bit. You'll understand."

Specter barely got a couple of feet before Tucker opened his mouth.

"Oh, and happy birthday!" he exclaimed.

"Tucker!" Sam hissed.

"Oops… sorry," said Tucker.

"You know… I would be irritated," Specter said calmly over his shoulder, "I'm really not though."

With that, Specter took his leave and flew back to Sam's place.

"Wait, am I missing something?" Phantom asked.

"Yeah, I'm lost here too," said Valerie.

"It's Specter's birthday today," Sam explained with a long sigh, "It's also been exactly five years since Reaper killed his sister."

Danny, Valerie, and Danielle were stunned.

"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"

Some time later, a knock was heard on the guest room door.

"Password?" Trevor called out.

"Walt sent me," Danny replied.

"A man of culture," Trevor dryly joked, "Intrude."

The door opened and the whole team entered. Trevor was sitting amongst the countless hours of paperwork as he skimmed breezed through his flash drive on the laptop. It didn't take long before his eyes locked-on to the small chocolate cupcake that Sam was holding on a plate.

"Want me to make a wish as well?" he asked, "Should we check and make sure Desiree isn't here?"

"Fine, then I'll just give it to Danielle," Sam shrugged.

"Uuuurrrggghhh…" Trevor groaned before he talked sternly, "Fine. I could use a snack anyways."

He telekinetically grabbed the dessert and crammed the whole thing in his mouth. After a few bites, he swallowed it whole.

"Thanks," he said as he wiped his mouth, "And, yes, everything Sam told you was true. Poor me, right?"

"We'll hold off the pity until after we capture Reaper," Danny joked.

"Right…" Trevor replied, rolling his eyes, "So, explanation time."

*SLAM*

Save for Trevor, everyone jumped the moment the door behind them slammed shut and the lights went out. At that same moment, Danny's and Danielle's ghost sense went off. The group turned around and saw a tall, shadowy figure staring down at them with its large glowing yellow eyes. The group couldn't even scream as they were frozen with fear.

"You can stop staring at them now," Trevor said as he continued to compare data between the books and his documents.

The creature blinked its eyes a couple of times before they vanished into darkness and the lights went back on. Before them stood a strange creature; a man-bird hybrid, wearing a late Victorian suit. Where there should be hands were instead large talons of an owl, its face an amalgamation of a man with large eyes and a black beak. Feathers covered much of where skin would be.

"Is this your creature?" Trevor asked, slightly startling the group, "This is the Owlman."

"Owlman?" Danny asked nervously.

"Yes," Trevor replied as he lifted his hand and telekinetically moved a piece on a chessboard that sat a couple feet away from him.

The Owlman floated over to the chessboard and stared at it for a moment. He hooted a couple of times as he moved a piece with one of its talons.

"I'm starting to remember why I hate playing chess with you," Trevor muttered as he quickly glanced over at the board.

"Uuuhhh, can we have that explanation now, please?" Danielle asked.

"Most of the incidents related the 'creature with large yellow eyes' is his fault," Trevor explained, thumbing over towards the Owlman, "He's a strange, but wise ghost."

"As owls usually are?" Danny quipped, causing everyone to roll their eyes.

"Classic," Trevor muttered, "Jokes aside, he travels the world to expand his knowledge, including how civilizations have progressed. He's completely harmless unless provoked."

"But why scare people?" Valerie asked.

"He wasn't doing it intentionally," Trevor answered, "His glowing eyes indicate that he's absorbing the knowledge of whatever it is he's looking at. I think it's called… psychometry?"

The Owlman nodded.

"Information?" Sam asked, "Like what?"

"Almost anything," Trevor explained, "He can't know everything. He can figure out if a person has positive or negative relationships with certain people or figure what abilities they possess. He can know if someone is hiding a secret but can't determine what that secret is. Not much of a useful power since everyone has secrets. For objects, he can determine where they were made or came from. For example, he can look at a painting and determine who painted it, where and when it was made, and the specific paints and brushstroke forms used to paint it."

"That sounds pretty useful," said Tucker, "And overwhelming."

The Owlman hooted a few times.

"He said 'you have no idea'," said Trevor, "He rarely talks, by the way."

"Does his eyes also induce fear into our hearts?" Valerie asked.

"I figured that's why you guys were scared," Trevor smirked, "Yeah, one of his more… passive psychic abilities induces fear in anyone who looks directly into his eyes when they glow. I have no clue why he even has that ability."

"So… why's he here?" Danny asked, "Does it have something to do with Reaper?"

"No, he's here because I asked him to come here," Trevor explained, "He's the oldest user of psychic links that I know. And my link with Dust has been giving me a headache, a bad one that's been getting worse for a while. So he's been training me to stabilize my connection."

"And the chess game?" Sam asked as Trevor telekinetically moved a piece.

"Payment," he shrugged.

"Is that why you were with Ember?" Danny asked, "She's helping you control your fire powers by asking you to be her drummer?"

"Nailed it," Trevor smirked with a clap of his hands, "Who else in my timeline could teach me pyrokinesis?"

Danny opened his mouth to speak.

"Shut up," Trevor snapped, "You don't get fire powers. Aside from those dinky balls of fire."

"You never know," Danny smirked.

"But I do," said Trevor.

"Wait, how long has he been here?" Sam asked.

"Owlman? About three days. Why?" Trevor asked.

"Just asking," Sam replied.

"How's that training going?" Tucker asked.

"There's been progress," Trevor replied, "Enough for now. With my explanation out of the way, I'm gonna guess you guys wanna know about the other thing?"

"You mean the one where you finally answer our questions?" Danielle asked.

"No, the one where I beat you all up," Trevor said flatly, "Yes, that. Pretty sure you guys got a glimpse of what I've got to say given today's importance to me."

"What do you want us to do?" Sam asked, "Ask you questions now?"

"No," Trevor replied, "But… I do owe each of you a free question. Why not tomorrow instead? After training?"

"You sure?" Danny asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure," Trevor replied, "And don't worry about me. I'm not going after Reaper for the sake of revenge. I'm not stupid, I'm not gonna destroy him, as much as I like to make my life easier."

The gang glanced at one another at that statement.

"So, you guys okay with that offer?" Trevor asked as he watched the Owlman make his move.

"I'm fine with it," said Danny, "What about you guys?"

"Sure," said Tucker.

"I'm good," said Sam.

"Better than nothing," said Valerie.

"Just one question from each of us?" Danielle asked, "That's not many questions for us to ask."

"Better choose them wisely," said Trevor, "Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to discuss some other matters with the Owlman… privately."

"Any reason why-" Danny began.

"Because it's late, you guys have school tomorrow, and I have many questions to ask the Owlman before he leaves," Trevor interrupted, "I also don't have much patience tonight to explain everything I'm gonna ask him."

"What if we wanna ask about it tomorrow?" Danielle smiled deviously.

"See, this is why I suffer for the greater good," Trevor sighed, "Alright, you asked for it."

He then turned to the Owlman.

"So exactly how are ghosts able to reproduce?" Trevor asked with a slight smirk.

Danny, Tucker, Sam, and Valerie grabbed Danielle and dragged her towards the door.

"Nope!" Danny exclaimed, "That is not happening! We'll see you after school tomorrow for training!"

"Wait, what's going on?" Danielle asked with a raised eyebrow, "Guys? What's he talking about?"

The door closed behind them, and Trevor sighed in relief. The Owlman hooted a couple of times.

"No, I didn't lie," Trevor growled, "I just… omitted a few pieces of information that is not important for them to know."

The Owlman flew so fast towards Trevor, for a brief moment he debated if the Owlman teleported or not. The ghost stared at Trevor as his turned began to glow yellow and he puffed his feathers out as he held his arms out.

"That shit doesn't work on me," Trevor told him, "Mind telling me how far I've progressed to suppress these stupid powers?"

The Owlman took a deep breath and sighed.

"Enough," he replied in an old gentleman's voice.

"I hope so," Trevor muttered as he telekinetically moved a chess piece, "Because that's checkmate."

He blinked just as his irises began to glow yellow. Unbeknownst to him and the Owlman, a small beetle-shaped robot with a familiar face on it had been spying through the window the whole time.

"Well, isn't this interesting?" Vlad Masters asked.

He was sitting at his desk in his office, petting his cat, Maddie, as he watched the camera feed from his computer.

"What do you intend to do?" Magnus asked as he appeared behind him.

"I believe it is long past due we had a little… talk," Vlad replied before smiling evilly.

Just a heads up, the next episode will be a doozy and I've decided to make Episodes 70 and 71 borderline M-rated. Nothing too over the top, but graphic enough to stay in the T section. If FFN has issue with it, then FINE! I'll make it a separate story entirely. Maybe even a "movie". But hold on to your butts, 'cause Episode 69- heheheheh, sixty-nine… will be quite a ride.

Like, follow, and review! Until next time!
