Here we go! James is on a date but has he moved on from Lily...?

JAMES - DATE TAKE TWO

"Two Firewhiskies, please."

"I thought we were having butterbeer," James laughed nervously.

"No," Vance batted her eyelashes. "I need something with a bit more fire."

"Er, sure!" James's mind nearly exploded. He had never had Firewhisky before! All those stories were just for show. All those bottles were just water. All that coolness was just fake. To be completely honest, the first time he met Lily was when he was studying. After falling for her, his excuse for every nerdy thing was her. They nearly had a connection but that good-for-nothing Peter introduced Remus into Lily's life, bringing the Potter great pain. Suddenly, he hardly ever saw Lily again before Alice befriended her. How lucky it was that two of the Girls' dorms had to merge!

"Jamie? Jamie?" There she was again, getting his name wrong for the billionth time! Lily would never do that...

Once they finished the drinks, Vance rushed to a shop just off the main road. James looked everywhere but couldn't find her, until Vance took his hand and led him to a dress shop. Apparently in his drunken state, James had agreed to have her for Christmas.

They had just found the perfect A-line (whatever that meant) and all Vance needed now we're some elegant high heels. With his sharp eyes, James spotted some silver shoes just across the street. He left the shop to take a closer look and bring them over, but was stopped by a stream of carriages. After they passed, he walked over. However, a carriage, which was presumably late, was going extremely fast. Vance screamed, "Jamie! Quick! Run!" but it was no use. James was out cold.

"Jamie?" Vance shouted, trying to wake the passed-out Potter.

"What?" James responded. He tried to get up but it hurt even more.

"Don't move!" she started to run off. "I'll find... Help?"

Great! Now he was on his own! Thanks a lot. Now it was just him and the ... Spinning sky? Why was he so ... Dizzy? And so...

His eyes opened almost instantly. Phew! Everyone was here. He was safe. "Join meeeeee..." the whisper faded into nothing.

"Do you think he's alright?"

"It's probably nothing."

"Uhhh," James groaned. "Five more minutes-"

"He's alive!" Alice squealed.

"Yes, dear, and he's very lucky to be," Madam Pomfrey dropped her usual smile into an anxious expression. "He consumed large amounts of alcohol than he's used to."

"How much, Prongs?"

"A Firewhisky."

"Whisky? Singular? Are you telling me-"

"Alright, fine, I lied. I just wanted to be cool and popular, like you, Padfoot," James sniffed. "But now you've found out. A- And you all hate me!" By now he was sobbing. The two groups stared in shock.

"I don't," Lily whispered, standing next to him.

"Or me!"

"Uh, me three!"

"Yeah, mate. I don't care about that. Honestly, I wish you'd said sooner. I'm just glad you're OK." Sirius fistbumped Prongs. "Jellyfish, squid, Pac-man... You seem alright to me!"

VANCE:
My fault? It's his, such a stupid, stupid boy. I tried to help him, remember? Not my fault that idiot is such an, erm, idiot...?

LILY:
It's all my fault! If I had said no to the girls none of this would have happened. I can't believe what happened to him. He'll be out of there in no time! Right? Oh, Godric! What if he never recovers? What if he gets worse? What if he ... dies?

SIRIUS:
Maybe Vance isn't what I thought she was. I was totally wrong. But it was an accident. It wasn't on purpose. Oh my Godric! What if it was on purpose?!

MARLENE:
Knew it! Vance is a snake. Good luck now! You better watch your step, Emmeline Vance. Accident? Accident my

REMUS:
As there is no proof it was accidental or on purpose, we can't decide whether she is guilty or innocent. I believe in innocent until proven guilty, but in this case, I don't know WHAT to think!

ALICE:
I wonder if they still have those heels! They would be super cute on me!

MARY:
She couldn't have! Right? I agree with, what's-her-face, Emmeline!

PETER:
... WHAT?!

JAMES:
Why? Just why? Why do I deserve this? I've been good! And now I'm unable to do anything. I can't even see the love of my life (that's Lily, by the way!) without scheduling an appointment. This is SO unfair!

Why me?

MADAM POMFREY:
That poor boy! He's strong, he can get through this. But for once. it's about him. It's easier to take the pain for someone else, yet this time he has to face it, head on.

I am so sorry, guys! I hardly updated and kept pushing this back in my mind. I promise not to abandon it! OK, OK. It's just things have been tough for me for the past month: starting a new school; having one friend who isn't always the best; and I don't exactly ahve the best mental health. It's a touchy subject, but I have to get better at talking about it. Thanks guys. You've actually been more supportive then me. And again, thank you Madison. Sis, you are my everything.
