Chapter 9: Night of the Goblins

The Goblin that stood on the window sill stepped down, causing the Hackfords to part from the door and step back.

"I knew them things were real!" Sally May cried out, pointing at it.

Suddenly, the rest of the Goblins started climbing in from the windows, getting inside.

"How'd they find us?" Sam whispered to Danny.

"By luck? Doesn't matter… we gotta do something." He responds.

"Take 'em!" Alicia shouts, grabbing an ax from out of nowhere and aiming it at the Goblins.

As the rest of the non-Fenton family members shouted for battle, those from the city knew it wouldn't end well.

"Where the heck did she get that ax?" Jack asks.

"Says the man who hides weapons and would rather not say where." Maddie points out.

Meanwhile, Danny took a step back as he regrouped with his friend, girlfriend and sisters.

"Okay… we better-"

Suddenly, he felt himself lifted up.

It was Sally May, carrying him over his shoulder.

"Hey, put him-" Sam was cut off as her arm was grabbed.

It was Zeb Jr. He did not look as aggressive as usual.

"Come on." He said.

"Hey, what are-" Tucker's cut off as Zeb Jr. grabbed him too.

Sally May also took Danielle and Jazz by the hand.

The Hackford siblings then dragged them to a nearby closet and pushed them inside.

"What are you-" Sam was silenced when she was pushed inside.

"You cityfolk'll be safe in here." Zeb Jr. says, showing a rare moment of no hostility towards Danny as he shut the door of the closet.

"Sit tight, Danny. We ain't lettin' those things near any of you." Sally-May's voice said before leaving to go deal with the aliens.

The teenagers blinked at that.

"Did…. they just give you an alibi?" Sam asks, surprised by what just happened.

"Well… back to what I intended to do…" Danny said as his eyes glowed.

In the living room

The Goblins were attacking and both the McKirks and The Hackfords tried fighting them off.

Unfortunately, the so-called weapons were nothing more than household items and hardly had any effect on these creatures.

With each hit, a metal clang was heard before the attacks were shrugged off.

"Where are the firearms?!" Alicia asks as she kicked one in the face, hurting her foot more than the creature.

"I put those things in the barn!" Betty-Jo shouts, earning an aside glare from Alicia. "I ain't leavin' those things close to where I sleep!"

''Well, you might not be sleepin' peacefully after this!" Alicia snapped at her as she used her ax to try and slice one of the aliens in half.

It was of no use, it hopped from side to side with each downward swing, landing like a cat on all fours.

Meanwhile, Jack and Maddie were also doing their best to keep these aliens at bay.

Maddie kicked one in the chest, but found it barely pushed it back.

"Get off!" Maddie said as it grabbed her by the calf.

"Back off! She's married!" Jack shouted as he grabbed it by the "ears" and pulled it off.

"No good… these things are wearing that armor or whatever." Maddie said as Jack tossed it aside.

"We gotta get to the RV. They might not be ghosts, but we can still put up some kind of a fight if we were armed with something that wasn't a lamp." Jack insisted.

"Good thinking, but how are we gonna get through this horde of aliens?" Maddie asks.

No sooner than she said that, they heard the sounds of metal being torn.

Looking out, Jack saw some of them trying to claw into the Fenton RV.

"MY BABY!" Jack cried out. He then noticed Maddie sending a 'seriously?' look. "I just got it smog checked! You try getting the DMV to approve of an RV you modified!" He said defensively.

At the same time, Zeke swung a shovel while Zeb Sr. swung a rusty spade.

"Be careful with that. It's a family heirloom!" Zeke said.

"Really?! While these things are attackin' yer home?" Zeb Sr. asks. "Always findin' some excuse to keep giving me trouble…"

"Don't start that! Besides, you're the one who keeps on makin' this feud last longer! You married already!" Zeke said.

"I know! So stop bringin' it up!" Zeb Sr. responded, no longer bothering to fight back.

"WILL YOU BOYS KNOCK IT OFF FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIVES AND SAVE US?!" Betty-Jo called out as she was leaning on a wall, too terrified to run or fight back.

That got their attention. Exchanging brief hateful looks, the two resumed fighting back.

Her relief was short-lived as one Goblin leapt at Betty-Jo, causing her to shriek.

Zebediah Sr. saw this and got Zeke's attention with a slap in the back.

"Your wife!"

Zeke saw it and gasped.

"Betty-Jo!"

Suddenly, to their surprise, the Goblin stopped inchest before its claw could reach her.

"Gkgk?" The Goblin went, looking back and seeing nothing.

It was as if nothing grabbed it. However that thought was proven wrong as something was indeed grabbing it by the leg before tossing it aside.

As the Goblin landed, hitting two of its kind in the process, that figure turned visible.

The fighting stopped as human and alien combatants both became aware of his presence.

"Hi guys. Remember me?" Danny Phantom asks after pounding his fist into an open hand.

The aliens snarled at him.

"Prwrr!" One Goblin said as it pointed at Danny.

"PRKGWRUR!" Many went as they readied their claws and charged at him.

"I'll take that as a yes." Danny said, readying for battle.

Three of them jumped at him, but Danny reacted fast with a wave of his hand, unleashing an arc of energy that knocked them back.

They got their feet on the floor, sliding back before two more came running at Danny.

With a fast enough reaction, Danny grabbed their wrists and, with a spin, tossed them out the windows they came from.

After Danny dusted his hands clean, Jack cheered.

"That's my boy!" He said before recalling he shouldn't say that. As those not in the know were slowly looking at him, he seemingly continued. "...uddy! Buddy! That's my buddy! Yup… ghost kid we work with now! Totally my buddy!" He said, poorly. However, the rest seemed to buy it.

"Great save…" Maddie whispered sarcastically.

"It worked, didn't it?" He responds.

"Let's just try to get our tech out." Maddie insisted as they tried to sneak away.

Meanwhile, Danny swung a right hook at a Goblin attempting to grab him, sending it into a wall. One attempted to slash him before a blast of green energy hit it in the nearby barn, leaving a hole in it.

The other aliens leap at him before Danny thrusted his arm out, slapping it in the face and making it fall on its back on the floor before he grabbed it by the "ear" and swung it before throwing it out the window.

Two Goblins from behind, realizing his back was turned, looked to each other before tilting their heads and looking back at Danny. They both chose to make their move to claw him from behind before someone appeared in front of them and kicked one in the side of its head, hitting the other in the process as they hit the floor.

"Got your back, Bro!" Dani went.

"Nice of you to join." Danny said rather casually as he caught one attempted attack by the head and kicked it like a soccer ball.

"Sorry… I wanted a little payback for what a certain someone said… so I ate the rhubarb pie." She says as she does an ax-kick to a Goblin.

"Well, can't say I blame you. That's the one thing- scuse me…" He knees a Goblin and then elbows another one in the face. "...one thing she's good at."

A high-pitched scream was heard from the other side of the house, getting their attention.

"That's either your second girlfriend, or her brother…" Dani joked.

"You're lucky you're a better sidekick than Sam or Tucker." Danny muttered with a smile before going off to where that scream came from.

All the while, the aliens remaining continued their assault on those in the house as Jack and Maddie made it to the door.

"Hurry, let's get some stuff from the RV to fight back!" Jack called out.

In the other side of the house

The battle went on as Zeb Jr. whacked a creature in the head with a wrench, though the metal clanging sound made it clear that didn't work as well as it should.

"I really hope nobody heard that." He said under his breath.

Sally May, meanwhile, held one creature up by the "ears" and tossed it away.

"There's too many of these things! We gotta get out!" She shouts.

One of the Goblins, however, peeked into the window and crawled in, running on all fours at Sally May as her back was turned.

Zeb Jr. saw it and panicked.

"Sally May!" He shouts as he runs at the creature, intent to tackle it.

However, it reacted fast, jumping up and landing on his shoulders before using its alien strength to push him to the floor and land gracefully.

"PRGOW!" It went before a fist collided with its face, uppercutting it into the ceiling.

"Huh?" Sally May asked, having just seen that.

The three other Goblins in the room were hit by green blasts that seemingly came from nowhere, knocking them down. Getting back up, each one looked around for the source of those blasts before something grabs them one at a time and tosses them out the door.

The last Goblin got back up and wanted to pick a fight before the being that punched it turned visible.

"Not how you treat a lady, no matter how clingy and pushy she can be! Here, let me stop you and show you the way out!" Danny said.

In an instant, the Goblin was thrown out the window, breaking through a tree as its head stuck out from the other side.

"Prlrk-guhkruh…" It went in a pained voice.

Danny dusted his hands as Dani turned visible and regrouped with him. There was the sound of gasps, the two noticed the Hackford siblings staring slack jawed at them.

"Uh… hi." Danny went, waving politely.

The siblings stood there for a moment before the two finally reacted.

"GHOSTS!" The two screamed in horror as they ran out the room.

The two were left in the room, alone and processing what happened.

"Wow, that's a first… Danny Fenton has a fangirl who doesn't like Danny Phantom." Dani comments.

"You'd think the aliens would be the strangest thing they've seen today?" He asks.

"True, but we're not in Amity Park. They're probably not used to us." Dani points out.

Their talk was short-lived as they became aware of the Goblins now circling them, intent to keep up the fight.

"Speaking of… I'm actually starting to miss Skulker wanting my pelt right about now…" Danny muttered.

Meanwhile

Jack and Maddie were using broomsticks as makeshift weapons to fend off the Goblins that were latched onto the sides of the RV, swinging at them the whole time.

"Get off my ride, you abhorrent alien aggressors!" Jack shouts.

"Ah, I told you that creative writing class online wasn't a bad idea." Maddie says proudly.

"Thanks, Sweetcakes." Jack said as he hit one of the creatures in the head.

The three Goblins hopped off the RV, landing behind the two. They would have attacked had the back of the RV not open and fire blasts that knocked the three down.

"Huh?" The two went, looking back to see Jazz holding a Fenton Bazooka.

"I have never been so thankful that Dad can't go 10 feet without some form of weaponry nearby." Jazz said with a smile.

"Aww, thanks Princess." Jack said.

"Wait, how did you get in the RV?" Maddie asks.

"Danny let us in." Jazz said as she opened the doors wider to reveal Sam and Tucker were inside.

"They brought us in here for safety before we realized those things were trying to claw their way in." Tucker adds.

"Alright… Jazz, wanna come show how versatile ghost hunting tech can be?" Maddie asks sweetly.

"On it." Jazz said, holding the cannon up higher.

Maddie put her hood on and grabbed her two-sided ecto-saber while Jack grabbed the Fenton Ghost Gloves.

"What about us?" Sam asks.

"You two… hold the fort. Make sure they don't break in and take anything." Maddie said.

"And make sure to take notes on what damage they did. My mechanic's been hoping for me to help put his kids through college." Jack says.

Sam made a face while Tucker held his PDA up.

"On it! The repairs, I mean. She can do the defending." Tucker says while gesturing to Sam.

As the Fentons went in, the two closed the doors.

"Okay… we're stuck doing this while there's actual action going? I don't like that. I don't do the side lines." Sam muttered angrily.

"Learn to compromise Sam. Someone needs to stay in here to protect this stuff." Tucker states as he just starts playing a game on his PDA instead of his promised job.

"I won't compromise. You and Danny should-" Her head turned as she gasped loudly and pulled away.

Tucker looked up, surprised before realizing she didn't see it on the ride to the farm.

It was the suit of the melted Goblin, namely the helmet, in her view, looking at her.

"Oh… they brought that because they wanted to keep it close and study it when they got the chance." Tucker said.

"Seriously?" Sam asks.

"I guess they're really eager to find more helmets to add to a collection." Tucker suggests.

Sam rolled her eyes. That's when the RV started rocking.

"Uh… that's either an earthquake or we're in real trouble." Sam said.

"I'll say… Mr. Fenton's mechanic's gonna buy a new house when this is done." Tucker said.

Sam scowled at him before slapping his PDA out of his hand.

"Forget it…" Sam grabbed the Fenton Peeler. "I'm going in!"

"What?!" Tucker said.

"They want us to protect this stuff, right? We can't do that while we're here, in this thing." Sam argued as she activated it, turning the armor on and opening the doors.

Inside

To her anger, Alicia's ax was not even touching the Goblin as it hopped from side to side, landing like a frog.

"Kr-krek! Kr-krek!" It went, almost in mockery.

"I got no idea what you said, but it's makin' me mad!" Alicia shouts.

The alien snarled as it hopped and kicked her in the chest with both legs. Alicia landed on her rear as the Goblin sneered at her..

"Praka!" It went before making that high-pitched hiss.

She attempted to reach for her ax, but Alicia was too slow as it reached for the ax and decided to give it a try.

"Aww dang…" She muttered as she crawled back.

Before it could attack her with her own weapon, that Goblin was blasted away, the ax spinning in place before landing on the dull side on the floor.

"Got 'em!" Dani went, flying and doing a fist pump in victory.

Alicia got back up and, to Dani's shock, she scowled at her.

"Watch it! You coulda either broken my ax or got it to land on my leg!" She snapped before resuming the fight.

Once the woman's back was turned, Dani scowled in her direction.

"You're welcome…" She said under her breath with sarcastic disapproval.

Alicia swung her ax downward, missing her target. Her weapon became lodged as she realized the problem, trying to pry it free when that Goblin landed on the ax's handle before headbutting her in the chest, the alien metal pushing her back and surrounding her.

It once again did that odd high-pitched shriek before hopping its way out the door.

Emboldened by the creature's apparent retreat, Alicia grabbed her ax and followed out, thinking it left.

"That's right! You better ru-" She's cut off as a pain from her head suddenly occurred. "GAH!"

Cousins Elmer and Joseph saw it. A spindly hand with three pointing fingers grabbed her hair from above, pulling it up.

"Cousin Alicia!" They went as they came to her rescue.

Elmer got around her and threw a bottle at the Goblin pulling her hair while Joseph pulled her back in.

"Ugh… guess I don't gotta worry about gray hairs for long…" She muttered, nursing the pain on her head.

The Goblin with some her hairs that were fading in color jumped off the roof and would have attacked them had a metal fist not connected with it, sending it careening towards a tree.

Jack grinned as he pounds both Ghost Gloves together.

"Finally, a solid hit that did something!" He said.

Maddie twirled her weapon.

"I've always wanted to test our equipment on non-ectoplasmic entities. Guess now's the chance." She said.

In the back of the house

Danny uppercut a Goblin, launching it up.

Two of them attacked, managing to claw his back. Though he hissed in pain, as he realized they had ectoranium on their hands, he was able to keep going. He swung a roundhouse kick, knocking them both in the head.

His moment of relief was short lived as he heard more inhuman chirping from the woods. Turning his head, he saw five more in the trees coming towards him.

It was now Danny was noticing something. Not all of the Goblins seemed as much a copy. The ones coming towards him landed and he noticed they seemed much shorter, with two having arms longer than the others.

"These things… most of them seemed really skinny, or spindly as Jazz would say… Some of them even have shorter legs. If they're clones like Danielle, I guess some weird defects or whatever are in play." He said under his breath.

He was then reminded of the fight as the aliens charged at him. Thinking fast, Danny created a dome shield for protection.

Undaunted, the Goblins began trying to claw their way through, but Danny Phantom was not done yet.

He phased into the ground, the dome disappearing.

The Goblins surround the spot he just went through before it happened. Danny returned to visibility and tangibility as he flew in to punch out the Goblins, only for one to come up from behind and grab his leg, two more coming in from his right.

However, this sneak attack was cut short as a large blast sent the two flying. Danny then did an ax-kick and sent it into the ground.

"You okay?" Jazz asks, concerned for him.

"I'm fine. Where are Sam and Tucker?" He asks.

"Safely at the RV." Jazz said before remembering something. "The same RV they tried to claw their way into… OH NO!"

They would have gone to the RV, but they were cut off by those same Goblins they knocked down getting back up and surrounding them, some getting on all fours and hissing like cats.

"Well… when this is done, I can at least cross off "fighting an alien" on the list of things all superheroes should have done in their lifetimes…" Danny said sarcastically.

Back at the RV

"Take this!" Sam shouts, firing her blasts.

The aliens were taking hits, but they did not back down.

Tucker, meanwhile, hid in the RV, hoping the creatures don't try to come in. His hopes were shattered fast as one crawled from above and peeked in.

"Pehkru!" It went.

"GAH!" Tucker screamed.

Sam heard that and turned around, firing at the creature to send it flying off.

"Close the door!" She ordered.

"Not until you get back in here!" Tucker said,

"Tucker! I told you I can handle this!" Sam shouts.

She was distracted, something the creatures took advantage of as they grabbed the handheld blaster and pulled it out of her grip. Sam would have stopped them, but two of them tacked her into the ground from behind.

"Sam!" Tucker shouts as he grabs the Fenton Anti-Creep Stick and runs out.

The aliens snarled as they pressed buttons, causing Sam's armor to slip back into the device.

"I'm in trouble…" She said quickly.

Tucker hit one creature in the head, making it step back in pain.

"HA! It works!" He said cheerfully before the one holding the Peeler slashed it with its claw, making the Creep Stick fall apart. His grin became a grim expression. "Well… it did." He said.

"RUN!" Sam shouts as they run back into the RV.

Once there, they locked the door.

The five aliens started rocking the RV again.

"If we make it th-

"When we make it through this…" Sam corrects, but Tucker's scowl made it clear he doesn't share her confidence.

"If we make it through this… I am never gonna take Amity Park being haunted with ghosts for granted ever again." He says quickly.

"Okay… ideas?" Sam asks.

"We got the ghost shield! Not sure if it'll work on these guys, but worth a try." Tucker said.

Sam scowled.

"And… you didn't suggest that before I lost the Peeler because…?"

''You think you can try and stay calm while trying to not be torn to pieces?!" Tucker snapped.

Sam ignored this and turned on the shield. To her surprise, it was keeping them back.

"Nice! It's keeping them out!" Sam shouts happily.

"Not… for long." Tucker said, Sam looking over her shoulder at him. "Looks like Mr. Fenton forgot to charge… it'll last another hour or less. Even less if they keep hitting." He said as he pointed to the onboard computer.

''Remind me to complain later..." Sam muttered as she pressed her forehead on the window.

Suddenly, they were hit by one of the damaged trucks. The two got a closer look and saw it was Danny, holding it like a dinner tray before setting down. Both of them let out a breath in relief.

"Hey guys." Danny said.

Jazz came to his side, holding her cannon up.

"Never thought I'd be so happy to see trucks…" Sam admits.

They looked back and saw the creatures knocked out.

"Looks like some of those things are finally making a break for it." Danny said.

"Yeah, but they took some stuff." Jazz points out.

"Still, can't argue with how we kicked their-"

A more guttural sounding screech was heard above them. One that caught them off guard, along with the sounds of scratching wood.

Looking up, the two saw something in the trees. Four pairs of glowing yellow eyes.

"More Goblins?" Jazz asks.

Her answer came as the creatures in the trees jumped out and landed.

They were indeed more Goblins, but these seemed different.

They appeared slightly longer, somewhere close to 4 feet. The mouth guards didn't have the simple four-fanged look, but more jagged teeth despite being a flat surface. Their eyes didn't have the goggle look, but were much flatter. The gloves as part of their suits reached higher, with the rim more pointed and jutting out. The toes were different too, with the "thumb" toe pointing backwards like a bird.

"These look… different. They dress differently." Danny said.

"New look or not, stop 'em!" Sam said from inside the RV.

"Can do." Danny said as he flew at them.

However, something was different.

The one he flew at ducked quickly. It then rolled onto its back and kicked him upward. Danny grunted in pain before it jumped up, the glow it emitted grew brighter for a second before kicking him towards the ground at an angle.

As he slid on the dirt with his feet, he looked down at his chest.

"This batch's tougher." He said to himself.

The four of them then came running at Danny, claws barred as they hopped into the air.

Thinking fast, Danny fired some ice blasts at them, but found they were somehow able to avoid it with small movements, tiny incremental reactions like tilting their heads back. Seeing them about to reach, he's forced to phase into the ground for protection.

As the four buckled their knees, they looked to the ground.

"Grrappa grrappa." One of them went as if ordering the others.

It was then hit as Danny appeared next to it and roundhouse kicked it in the face. The other three then charged again as Danny was forced to reach by bobbing his head left and right.

An uppercut to one Goblin, kneeing the face of the other, then elbowing the last, and that didn't seem to slow them down, only mildly inconvenienced them.

"Crud… these guys are tougher." He said.

"Let's even those numbers!" Jazz said before aimed, only for the aliens to come in close too quickly. "Huh?!"

The bazooka was no longer in her hands, only to be stolen as the Goblins pilfered glowing green energy cells.

"Preeka!" One went, holding a cell in its hand.

"Kuwikuri!" The others said.

Seeing this going on, Sam grabbed a wrist blaster.

"Tucker! Lower the shield so I can get out!" She ordered.

"Uh… that's a bad idea." Tucker stated.

"JUST DO IT!" She demanded.

Reluctantly, Tucker agreed to do it.

"I hope you know what you're doing…" Tucker muttered.

Back to the battle

Danny swings his arm, but the creature avoided it with ease by somersaulting backwards before pushing forward and kicking him in the chest.

"Kreeree!" It went before getting back on its feet.

"GET AWAY FROM HIM!" Sam shouts, firing her wrist blaster. To her frustration, it bobbed its head out of the way before bending backwards to fire another shot. "HOLD STILL!" She shouted, getting angry before the creature got too close and grabbed her wrist. "HEY!"

The creature squeezed hard, causing her to cry out in pain.

"Sam!" Danny called out, forcing him to go intangible and past the other Goblins before kneeing the creature with enough force to knock the helmet off.

It let go, causing Sam to feel her wrist free again, but also see some damage to the wrist blaster, rendering it inoperable.

She was distracted by that disappointment, however, when the Goblin picked up its helmet and a sound was heard.

"Aww… gonna cry?" She taunted it, only for the Goblin to turn its head at her and she gasped in shock. "OH MY GOSH!"

Instead of the slit-mouth creature of before, this one had a head that was much pointier in the back, and a mouth of jagged yellow teeth, snarling at her with eyes squinted with rage.

"Brrugg… Brrugg!" It went before putting its helmet back on, the mouth barely covered as the sound seemed to come more from the throat.

Sam stepped back, realizing she has no means of fighting back anymore.

"Uh… sorry?." She said before making a break for it back to the RV.

The Goblin that was re-masked chose to ignore her. Seeing the other three still giving Danny trouble, it turned its direction back to the house.

Inside

Jack swung upward, launching a Goblin up in the air. He sent a fist forward quickly, bending one backward as it was launched to the wall. He slammed both fists downward, smashing one into the floor.

Maddie swung her weapon sideways, hitting a Goblin. She used it in a stabbing motion, striking one in the chest. She also swung it upward, hitting a Goblin that tried to sneak attack.

They managed to knock a few down but it was not over..

"How many are left in the house?" Maddie asked, breathing heavy.

"I think… we got 10… so 10 more?" Jack answered, unsure.

The others were growing exhaust, their methods of fighting back clearly ineffective.

Sally May was about to reach the closet door, but stopped.

"Nah… Danny's cute but he'll flip if he sees this. Best let him be safe…" She said to herself. Completely unaware of the irony in her statement.

She rejoined the battle as her brother leaned on the wall, exhausted.

"Is that it?" Zeke asks.

"I think there's more outside." Zebediah Sr. points out.

But as Jack and Maddie think they've got this, one of the taller and lankier Goblins jumped in from the window while doing a drilling motion before landing by buckling one leg and presenting itself to them.

"Another one?" Maddie asks, getting tired.

"And a tall one too… guess these guys have discovered the benefits of milk." Jack quips.

Jack ran towards the lankier creature, only for it to hop over him, landing on all fours. Jack ends up hitting the wall instead, fist going through. The Goblin looked back and did that same high-pitched hiss that others have done.

"Taste this!" Maddie called out, using her weapon. She swung, but found her target had disappeared. "Huh?"

She looked around, not seeing until it was too late the creature hopped upwards, grabbing the ceiling

"Keeku." It went before swinging down like a pendulum, kicking her.

Maddie hit the floor, her weapon falling out of her hand.

The creature, making small gargling sounds, readied its claw before it heard Jack come running.

"Get away from my wife! She's already had one pointy-eared creep try to get his claws on her!"

Like before, the creature avoided his fist with ease, ducking down and tripping him in the process.

Jack ended up hitting the wall, making another hole in the process.

"Watch it, you idiot! You're gonna bring the house down on us all!" Alicia shouts, getting agreement from most of the relatives.

"HRRRKKK! PRRURRAKA!" It shouts to the other Goblins.

The smaller Goblins got up, looking somewhat tired but obeyed its apparent order and ran out of the house.

Outside

Danny used a shield to keep the three at bay as he would swing his hand with the shield to block attacks.

"Take that!" He said.

One Goblin came at Danny, swinging claws at a shield. Another came at him from another side, making him create a second shield. The last jumped up and intended to dive down as he was distracted.

"Hang tight!" He heard Dani say as she flew in and kicked the Goblin in the stomach, sending it back.

''Grapppaka!" It shouted upon hitting a tree from the momentum of the attack.

"Nice..." Danny complimented as they kept fighting.

Meanwhile

Sam and Tucker were still at the RV, still without a means of protecting themselves.

"Uh… Sam?" Tucker asks.

"What?" She asks, impatiently wanting to get in the action. However, Tucker pointed to the house, where a horde of the Goblins were coming out. Her impatience was replaced with dread. "Oh…"

"I got an idea!" Tucker said as he closed the doors of the RV.

The horde approached the RV at increasing speeds.

"KRYKIKOKO!" One went.

However, the RV opened and what looked like a fellow Goblin stuck out.

In fact, it was Tucker wearing the helmet while holding the suit in his hands to poorly look like one of their own was there.

He lifted an arm and pointed away.

"Waka waka waka!" He went with a more guttural sounding voice.

"ON-ONONONO!" The one in the front went as it went in the direction of the woods, the rest followed.

Once it was done and they were far enough, Tucker took the helmet off.

"Hey, it worked." He said happily.

"Great, let's help Danny out." Sam said.

The two got out and were on their way to aid Danny with the few weaponry they had. However, as Tucker looked over his shoulder, he saw them stopping in their tracks.

One of them in the front looked over its shoulder.

"Waka waka waka?" It went, as if realizing in hindsight that what it heard was not decipherable in its tongue.

The rest turned their heads slowly, each row doing so with each repetition.

"Waka waka waka? Waka waka waka? Waka waka waka?!" They went with each row looking back.

Sam and Tucker stopped running, realizing their ruse didn't work for long, as well as how far they were from the RV.

"Shoot…" Tucker went.

With that, the creatures went for the RV.

Once inside, they started making a loud racket as the RV shook violently. Soon, the doors opened as some were leaving the inside, carrying either weaponry or energy cells.

"Oh crud… the one time I don't want harm to a goliath of a car… and this happens." Sam went, looking less than pleased now.

As they were running out, one Goblin looked back.

"KREEKURI!" It called out in victory.

With that, the other, taller Goblins nodded before breaking away.

The one inside the house started wrecking stuff in its way as Jack and Maddie followed it.

"Get back here, you extraterre-MY CAR!" Jack cried out, seeing what happened to the RV.

The Goblins snarled at them as they started hopping into the trees.

However, one of them looked back at Danny, who was confused and wary as it seemed to point at him.

"GONKRUKURRRWEEKOO!" It went before motioning him to come and heading off.

Danny stood there, trying to process this as he was still having trouble.

Did it just… motion me to follow? He thought.

"Kids?" Maddie's voice caught their attention.

She ran and hugged her children, relieved as was her husband...for a short while.

Jack cried over his RV's current condition.

"My beautiful RV… I just had the interior shampooed!" He said between sobs.

Maddie, though mildly embarrassed by this outburst, patted him on the shoulder.

"Anything left?" She asks.

Jazz took a look inside, pulling out what she can.

"Just the Fenton Finder and some blasters, low on charge though." She said.

"Strange, they didn't just take weapons, they pulled out the cores we were using to power them." Maddie said.

Fearing for the worst, Jack entered the RV, going to under his seat and tried to pull something out, gasping in horror as it was empty.

"They even took my secret stash of cookies! Why?! They wouldn't be able to eat them! WHY?! WHY WOULD THEY TAKE MY COOKES?!" Jack cried out.

Dani and Maddie shared glances before they had sheepish looks as they knew who really took the cookies.

"Yeah… it was totally them." Dani went nervously.

"The fault of those silver suited sinister spacemen." Maddie lied with a smile.

Jack wiped his nose clear as he stepped out.

"Well… all that's left is to hunt them down." Jack said.

Maddie looked back at the house and sighed.

Her cousins were all going over the damage made to inside and outside the house, and knew help was needed.

"Actually, what's left is to call the state trooper and let them know this house has been attacked. Maybe get an ambulance for any injuries sustained." She says.

"Are they even gonna believe this?" Jack asks.

"Well… on the off chance those things come back, you and I should stay here. As for the rest of you… find those things." Maddie said to the rest.

"Are you sure?" Danny asks.

"Positive. Just hurry…" Maddie said.

Special thanks to Flower princess11 for help on this.

This entire chapter is basically the Kelly-Hopkinsville Encounter.

The more elite Goblins are based on a commission I paid for to be drawn by YaBoiiSid. Check him out, he's a great artist.

And now we'll be seeing our heroes find the Goblins.

RonaldM40196867: I guess he does. None of the relatives like Jack, save for Zeke and Betty-Jo. I doubt she'll stop with the obvious booze, and her opinion of men probably won't change. Lamb fries are real, google it to learn why Sam thought it was gross. They've likely seen them before.

cg037: Thanks.

Invader Johnny: It certainly got more destructive.

Luiz4200: Definitely, how ironic.

LockAndKey989: You're not supposed to ship them. At least not for now.

Chanderx93: Lo averiguaremos.

SuperiorBatman1: She's definitely meant to be a poor judge of character with men. It also seems pride is a problem with the two.

Leonardo: We'll find out about how things will go for the clans and with the sisters. Also, maybe she's a redhead with her father's eye color? Or the violet is from another relative?

Khy Dragon: Probably?
