AN: Hey everyone, I have some good news and bad news. Good news is I have a new chapter here to mark the start of the Duel Spirits Festival. Bad news is this might be the last chapter of the year for this series. I am not done by any means, but I have other series I wish to continue and return to before I resume this one. I have planned out this series way in advance, but am still behind on the duel scripting, which you know is the longest part. However, I wanted to post one more time this year to coincide with a special structure deck release coming up. In it, I had a lot of fun making this chapter and got very creative with the world building. Hope you enjoy this chapter, leave a review with your comments and questions, and have a nice day.

Chapter 33 – The Charmers

In the Obelisk Blue dorm, Weiss peacefully slept in her room. The back of her head rested on the feather-filled pillows; her hands interlocked over her stomach. The just raising sun radiated from the window onto her pale face. However, a looming shadow started to encompass her. In feeling this menacing aura, her eyes started to twitch but did not open. As her heart started to slightly race, as she heard a small inhale of breath. "PPHHWWHHTT!" A sharp screech rang through Weiss' room, causing her eyes to shoot open. She recoiled in pain from the harsh sound, causing her to tumble out of her bed and fall onto the floor. Weiss caught her breath just after the shrieking had stopped, then noticed a pair of familiar red boots. She looked up to see Ruby with a silver whistle in her left hand, "Rise and shine!" The hooded Slifer Red spoke with a smile, "Do you know what day it is?"

"Ruby, it's Monday," Weiss responded as she pushed herself up, "Why and how did you even get into my room?"

Suddenly, a third voice spoke up, "I let them in." Weiss turned to see it was Blake speaking, who had Yang standing beside her, "I used the spare key you gave me for emergencies."

"Thought this would have been a nicer alarm than me punching down the door," Yang added on.

"That doesn't answer why the three of you are in my room at this hour," Weiss responded, turning back to Ruby.

"It's because today is no ordinary Monday," Ruby articulated, "It's the start of the Duel Spirits Festival."

"…I'm going back to bed," Weiss said as she was about to laid down, but then flinched as a massive binder landed on her pillow.

"No time for sleep, we have a lot to do," Ruby said she walked over, opening the binder of hand-scribbled notes. "We have so much fun stuff planned for this year; games to play, cosplay to create, foods to try, ghost stories to tell!"

"What is with you!?" Weiss commented, "It's just a holiday break."

Suddenly, Weiss felt Yang's metal arm pat her on the back. "Come on, stop being a grumpy morning person." Yang said with a smile, "This is our break, so we can use it to kick back and relax."

"We also have a much longer break than normal this time." Blake added, "The Chancellor extended this holiday for the whole week."

"Which is why it's called Duel Spirit Festival instead of Duel Spirits Day." Yang commented, "Just means less school and more fun for us."

Weiss sighed, "Can we at least discuss this after I shower."

"No need," Ruby said as she took Weiss' right hand, "We're going to the Girl's Outdoor Bath right now. Got to get there before all the hot water is gone."

"Wait, wha-" Weiss said before getting pulled by the hooded Slifer Red. Weiss barely grabbed the door frame to hold herself in place, looking back to Yang and Blake, "She does know it's not that kind of bath, right?"

"Relax," Yang shrugged off, "You're not going melt in the hot water, Ice Queen."

"You're not helping!" Weiss shouted before losing her grip on the doorframe, causing Ruby to pull her down the hallway. Yang and Blake giggled towards each other before following their friends down the hall.

However, looking out from the window were four small orbs of light. Each illuminated a different color and had a feminine voice coming from each one, "Wow, those four seem friendly." The green orb commented in a sincere voice.

"Quite the color combinations." The blue orb spoke, "The red hooded one seems nice, but the one with white hair seems a little stressed."

"The one with the bow seemed pretty cool." The brown orb added on.

"I like the blond one." The red orb commented, "She seen like a girl that knows how to party."

"They make a good team," the green orb spoke up again, her voice getting slightly more confident, "Why don't we put them to the test?"

A short while later.

At the Girls Outdoor Bathhouse, only the four girls were seen. While two were already resting in the water, the duo of sisters were getting a running start, "YAHOO!" Ruby called out before jumping, pinching her nose while in midair.

"Cannonball!" Yang said as she jumped, hugging her body with arms. They both collided with the water at the same time, creating a massive wave. Sitting at the waist-deep end, an irritated Weiss had the bulk of the splash raining down on her forehead. To her right sat Blake, who had a damp towel resting on her head. On the heiress Obelisk Blue's left, bubbles formed before Yang emerged, "Wow, why doesn't the Ra Yellow dorm have this?" she said in joy before taking a seat, looking around at all the golden archways and lion waterfalls, "Certainly fits our colors more."

"This is open to girls from all dorms." Blake commented, "The boys have that hot spring further in the woods."

Emerging right afterward was Ruby, "Weiss, did you see that?" She asked, "From one to ten, what would you give that?"

"…" Weiss responded with a cold stare, water dripping off her eyelashes.

"Oh, one of those hard judges," Ruby said with a smirk, "Okay, just wait until my next leap." She said before diving back underwater.

Weiss sighed before, closing her eyes, "Why are you three doing this?" she spoke in a depressed voice, "I'm fine."

"No, you're not." Yang spoke up, her voice slightly more serious, "Weiss, you're still in a rut after losing to Yuri."

"You haven't been yourself ever since," Blake added on, "We're worried about you."

"…" Weiss did not say a word back.

Yang let out a sigh, "Frankly, I think you've been overreacting." She said while looking up, causing Weiss to look back with a scornful gaze, "I mean, you got your butt handed to you by some pompous jerk in a really brutal way." The fiery Ra Yellow said before scratching the back of her head with her right arm, "But hey, it could have ended worse?" At that moment, Weiss saw the water dripping of Yang's prosthetic arm.

"…What am I supposed to do then?" Weiss spoke up, "I have taken losses before, but never like that one." She said as the memory of that duel echoed in her mind, the Ancient Gear Megaton Golem about to crush her, while Yuri looked on with a sadistic smile at his victory. "It just…. I felt so… helpless."

Blake looked on with mournful eyes, remembering their first duel and the tragic outcome, "Weiss, it's ever easy to ask for help. But if you shoulder all the burden, it will cause more harm than good," She said before looking done at her reflection in the water, "Both for others and yourself." She then turned to her friend, "If you're feeling helpless, let us help you."

Slowly, Weiss started to smile, "Thank you, both of you." She said with Yang and Blake smiling back. However, the heiress Obelisk Blue glared over to Ruby, who was climbing on one of the boulders in the bathhouse.

Blake looked on as well, a giggle in her voice, "You know, this was Ruby's whole idea to cheer you up this way." The shadowy Obelisk Blue commented, "She spent a lot of time during class making that binder." While the smile remained, a look of slight sorrow was in Blake's eyes, "None of us got to experience this holiday last year, since it happened in the middle of..."

"I know," Weiss said with a sigh, then turned to Yang, "But why does she have to act like a fool now?"

"Well, if I had to guess," Yang spoke up as she looked on as well, "I think she got it from our mom, Summer." She said with Weiss and Blake listening, "She always was so happy and cheerful, even when things looked very grim." The fiery Ra Yellow commented, the memory of her stepmother coming to her mind, "Summer always tried to be a ray of hope when others were feeling down, so she would always smile." Yang said before the memory changed, envisioning herself at the end of a cliff looking at a tombstone. In front of the grave, Ruby was on her knees, weeping into her palms. Yang blinked as the memory ended, as she saw a smiling Ruby almost reaching the top of the boulder, "And I think Ruby is trying to be the same way now."

"You three, watch this!" Ruby called out as she stood on the boulder, "I'm going to summersault in with barely make a splash, a perfect dive!"

"No, Ruby get down from there!" Weiss called out, "You're going to slip and hit your head."

"Nah, I'll be fine," Ruby shrugged off, "I'm confident in my footing. Now, watch th-" She said before her right foot slide against the slippery surface of the rock, "Uh oh."

"RUBY!" Weiss, Blake, and Yang called out as they saw the hooded Slifer Red's body fall, her head going straight for another rock. They each tied to run through the water, but all three knew they would not make it in time.

However, the heiress obelisk Blue saw something. A green orb of energy hovered near the rock. Suddenly, a powerful gust of wind pushed Ruby out of the way of the rock, causing her to back flop into the water, "What?" Weiss said as she stopped in her place.

"Ouchy." Ruby said as she eventually resurfaced, rubbing her back, "Not what I was planning on."

"Ruby are you okay!?" Yang asked in panic.

"You didn't hit your head, did you?" Blake added on.

"No, I don't think so," Ruby said as she felt the back of her skull, noticing no blood. However, she still felt the sting in her back, "Definitely should not do that again though." She then looked over, seeing Weiss looking up at something, "Hey, is everything okay?"

In the area above, the four orbs of light conversed. "Boy, that was a close one," the green orb spoke, "There really should be a sign that tells people not to climb on those rocks."

"There is," the brown orb added on, "Everyone just ignored it."

"Eh, I give her a six on the landing," the red orb commented, "Would have been six and a half if she landed on her belly instead."

"Don't be like that, she could have…Eh?" the blue orb spoke before noticing something, "That one is staring at us." She said with Weiss watched on, slightly speechless.

"For real, she can see us in this world!?" the red orb spoke.

"Weiss, what are you looking at?" Yang said as she walked over, then looked up, "I don't see anything."

"Oh, it looks like it might just be her." The brown orb added on.

"Are you okay?" Blake added on, "What happened?"

"Is that heat getting to you," Ruby asked, "Or maybe these sudden gusts of winds?" However, Weiss remained quiet as she did not know what to say that could make logical sense.

Thus, a silence fell over the area, "…This is awkward," The blue orb said before rotating the face the green orb, "What do we do?"

"Well, it is a little unfair that she can only see us in this world." The green orb spoke up, "But, they can all see us in our world."

"Huh!?" Weiss overheard before all four orbs shot into the water. Suddenly, the current bag to change as a whirlpool started to form.

"Wow!" Ruby said in awe, "I didn't know this bathhouse had that feature. Cool!" She said before the strong current pulled her, forcing the hooded Slifer Red to slip again, "Uh Oh!" Ruby said before she was submerged, being pulled towards the whirlpool. On the way, her body crashed into Yang and Blake, toppling the two before the trio rammed into Weiss. The four then opened their eyes underwater, seeing a black abyss the while pool was leading them down. They tried to swim away, but it was no use. As they were seemingly flushed away, the light from their world vanished, and they gasped the air they had depleted.

In a new world.

"…Eh…" Ruby's eyes twitched before opening, then noticed the feeling of grass on the back of head and fingertips, "Wha?" She said before sitting up, discovering she was in the middle of a clearing in the woods. However, the shroud of the night had taken over the area, but she could still make out her three friends nearby also getting up.

"W-we're alive?" Blake spoke up, "But, we…"

"Huh, how did we get into the middle of the woods?" Weiss commented, "And how is it also nigh time?"

"Did we blackout?" Yang commented as she looked down, discovering she and the others were back in their academy uniform, "Well, at least that is one positive thing about this situation." She then turned to her little sister, "Ruby, are you okay?" she asked, but the hooded Slifer Red was transfixed on the sky, "Ruby?" Yang asked before looking up herself, her eyes widening at the sight, "T-the moon, it's-"

"Shattered…" Ruby finished as she looked up at the broken moon, then turned to her sister, "Where are we?" She asked but knew that no answer could be given.

Suddenly, the two turned to the sound of something roaring. Approaching Blake and Weiss were a trio of wolfmen with black fur, red eyes, and bone armaments. Before the sisters could move, they turned to the other direction to see a large black bear with similar bonelike spikes on its back. Suddenly, they heard more rustling from the tree leaves. In looking up, an enormous black raven descended with the same bone mask and armored wings. However, the loudest of them all was the trees toppling over as a massive black scorpion with a yellow stinger emerged, his size towering among all the other dark creatures. The four girls converged, each standing back to back, but were surrounded by all the enemies.

"Ruby," Weiss spoke up, "What do we do?"

Ruby racked her brain for a way of out this situation, "…I-" She was about to say but was cut off as one of the werewolves lunged at her, fangs flared and aim at her throat. Suddenly, a new voice spoke up, "Miyabi!" the mystic word rung through the area. In midair, a razor gust of wind slashed through the mutated werewolf, turning it into black chunks of flesh. Ruby was left speechless before turning to the other werewolves, but another wind reduced them to the same fate. Before she could catch her breath, she turned to her friends and their monsters.

Weiss watched as scorpion charged at her, the stinger raised. However, another mystic word was spoken from nearby, "Aoi!" Suddenly, the massive scorpion was engulfed in an orb of water. The creature flailed for air but was instead suffocated in a matter of a few seconds. As the water diluted, the massive scorpion fell limp and bloated.

Blake saw the enormous bird expand its wings and open its beck, but then heard someone else speak from afar, "Kurogane!" the mystic word was spoken, causing a sharp giant stone to rocket out of the ground and through the enormous bird's chest. The beak remained open as the head fell limp against the impaling stone.

Yang clenched her fist as the black bear approached her, but she too heard a mystic word, "Kurenai!" with that word, a pillar of fire engulfed the black bear monster. After the fire settled, Yang watched the scorched creature fall over, soon seeing its body disaggregate. She then turned to the others seeing each monster also begin to fall apart into nothingness, "What just happened!?" Yang asked everyone, but turned to Ruby, "Hey, did that last word sound familiar?"

"Yeah, all four of them did." Ruby responded as she looked around, "They sounded like the Spiritual A-" She said before stopping at the sight of something, her friends doing the same. There stood four other girls, each in a type of spellcaster uniform. Two wore black shorts, while the other two had skirts. Two had a white top, but the other two had a light green sweater. One had green hair tied in a short ponytail in the back. Next to her was a girl with long light blue hair. To their right was one wish short brown hair and glasses. A girl with long disheveled red hair was last, whose white top showed off her midriff. However, all four wore a type of brown robe and wielded a type of staff.

"N-no way," Yang spoke in a stunned voice.

"That cannot be," Weiss added on.

"Uh," Blake said in a confused voice, "Who are they?"

"T-there the Charmers," Ruby answered, but kept her eyes on the four girls, "Wynn, Eria, Aussa, and Hiita." She said before her eyes lit up and her voice getting bubbly, "Can I get your autographs!"

"Uh, maybe another time," Wynn spoke with an unease smile, then walked over to the four students with the other charmer.

"We're sorry about putting you four in danger like that." Eria spoke in a gentle voice, "I thought we already wiped out all the Grimm in this area."

"Grimm?" Weiss spoke up, "Is that what those monsters were called."

"Yes," Aussa answered while taking out a book, "I have a log of the specific names we have for each monster."

"But what are they?" Blake asked.

"I dunno, some combination of evil magic and negative emotions." Hiita shrugged off, but then smirked, then put her hands on her hips, "Point is that they are bad news, and we are the ones that take them down." She said while raising her head high, "It's part of our spellcaster training,"

"Wow," Yang spoke in awe, "So, you four are like the heroes of this world?"

"More like four good friends traveling around to experience the world and take down evil in the processes." Wynn responded, "Or I guess worlds is more accurate."

"You mean-" Ruby asked but was cut off by the blazing charmer.

"Yep, you four are in the Duel Spirits World," Hiita responded.

"Duel Spirits World!?" Yang responded, "That's a thing?"

"Yes, in fact, multiple Duel Spirit Worlds exists." Aussa answered, "You're just in the one we live in."

"I-I see," Weiss said, still taking in all this new information, but then looked up, "So, what happened to your moon?"

"We aren't too sure; it's just been that way for a while." Eria responded, "Some say it was done by an enraged god who left this world."

"Oh," Blake spoke, "Is that the story?"

"Well, some books say it was a giant stone warrior who stabbed it with his sword," Aussa commented, causing Hiita to giggle.

"Oh…" Ruby spoke with that absurd image coming to her mind. She then shook her head of that thought, then turned to Wynn, "So, why did you bring us here?"

"Oh right, we should have answered that from the start." Wynn said with a giggle, "We want to duel you four."

"Duel?" Yang responded, "You know how to duel?"

"Yes," Eria responded, "We learned it while hovering around that island as spirits."

"Well, I guess it is an island that teaches people how to play the game." Blake pointed out.

"But why do you want to duel us?" Weiss asked.

"Hehehe," Hiita said with a sinister smile, "If we duel and beat you, then we can take over your bodies back in your world." She spoke with her head leaned back, "And you four will be trapped here forever! MWAHAHAHA!" the blazing charmer said before Aussa hit her upside the head with her staff, "Owe!"

"She's joking, we aren't going to do that." Aussa spoke before adjusting her glasses, "Regardless of the outcome, we will send you all back safely after the duel."

"Wait to take all the tension out of it." Hiita said while she rubbed the back of her head, then sighed, "You're such a buzzkill."

"The reason we want to duel is you is to test your teamwork with one another," Eria answered the question.

"That's right," Wynn said with a smile, "So, this duel will be a four-on-four tag duel."

"You want a duel with all eight of us at the same time?" Yang responded in shock. She said before sighing, turning to Ruby and Weiss, "I mean, we dueled in a raid battle together before." The fiery Ra Yellow said with a slight grin. "I guess all we are doing now is doubling the player count."

"More than that," Weiss added on, "In this tag duel, we will each be sharing the same field and graveyard."

"As well, I don't think our decks are set up to combo with one another." Blake said as she walked over, "I think the duel might be over before any of us get a second turn."

"Well, we won't know until we try," Ruby said to the others with a smile. "Come on, let's give it a try." She said with her friends looking to each other, then turning to her with a nod, "Awesome, this is going to be so much fun!"

"Okay, now we just need the setup." Wynn said as she overhead, "Our order will be me, then Eria, then Aussa, then Hiita."

"Why can't I be the first one out?" Hiita commented with her arms cross.

"So, what order should we go with?" Ruby asked her friends with her arms crossed, which the rest of her friend followed suit with, "Hmmmmm." They all thought but could not come up with a good order. However, a light bulb went off in Ruby's head, "I got it! First me, then Weiss, then Blake, then Yang." She said with a smile, "That way if we take the first letter of all our names in that order," She then raised her hands in the air, "It spells RWBY!"

"…" Weiss looked on with half-open eyes.

"…" Blake looked on with half-open eyes.

"…" Yang looked on with half-open eyes.

"…What?" Ruby said she lowered her arms, "Too confusing?"

"Hehe, I kind of like it." Wynn spoke up, "If that's your order, then let's get started." She said before each of the Charmers' morphed into a runic duel disk on their right arms. In response, each of the students of Duel Academy equipped their duel duels, loading their decks in the process, "You can even go first, RWBY."

"Duel!" all eight said as the massive tag duel began.

RWBY: 4000 Life Points

Charmers: 4000 Life Points

"My draw!" Ruby said while doing so, smiling at the result, "I summon Lonefire Blossom." She said as a bomb-like bud bloomed on the battlefield, (500 ATK / 1400 DEF). "And with its effect, I tribute a plant monster to special summon a stronger one from my deck." She said as the wick on the bomb went out, causing the blossom to blow up, "This time, I choose Marina, Princess of Sunflowers!" the hooded Slifer Red said as the smoke cleared revealing a beautiful plant woman whose lower half was a giant sunflower, (2800 ATK / 1600 DEF). "That ends my turn."

"Wow, that's a pretty strong monster," Wynn commented as she drew. "Okay, I'll start a bit slow with setting a monster and laying three cards face down." The verdant charmer said before doing so, "That should be all for me."

"My turn," Weiss said as she was about to draw. However, her body hesitated. She clenched her first before relaxing her hand, then drew. In looking at her hand, an idea formed, "This turn, I can win it all." She thought before glaring down her opponent, "I summon Gem-Knight Alexandrite." She said as white clade knight appeared, (1800 ATK / 1200 DEF). "And with his effect, I tribute him to special summon Gem-Knight Tourmaline from my deck." She said as the white clade knight shattered his armor, revealing a sparking yellow knight underneath, (1600 ATK / 1800 DEF).

"Why would you replace him with a weaker normal monster?" Wynn asked.

"So, I can do this." Weiss said as a slot opened on her duel disk, "I play the field spell, Fusion Gate." She said as a grid-like shockwave ran through the area, "With it, I can fusion summon by removing monsters from the field from play." She said while putting away the monster card on the field and one from her hand. "With Gem-Knight Tourmaline and Crystal, I fusion summon Gem-Knight Topaz!" the sparking yellow knight now exploded, revealing a sparker yellow knight with lightning-shaped swords in each hand, (1800 ATK / 1800 DEF). "Go, attack with Thunder Double Strike!"

Ruby watched as the set card revealed itself, showcasing a familiar girl with green hair, "Wynn the Wind Charmer!?" She said in shock, (500 ATK / 1500 DEF). However, the charmer could not defend herself, from this sparking slash, "You set yourself?" Ruby said as Wynn was destroyed.

"I mean, that's one way to put, but it's just the card me you saw." The real Wynn responded, rubbing the back of her head, "I would rather not walk out on the field of battle and play a card game at the same time." She then looked at her body sparking with some electricity, "Huh?"

"You aren't exactly safe that way." Weiss responded, "When Topaz destroys a monster, not only can he attack again, but that monster's attack points are dealt to you as damage."

Charmers: 4000 – 500 = 3500 Life Points

"Oh, that's neat." Wynn said before having a focused gaze, "Too bad he won't be attacking again." She said before taking a card out of her hand, "Since a wind monster was destroyed, I special summon Wynn the Wind Channeler from hand." The verdant charmer said a green tornado of wind formed. As the dust settled, a version of Wynn appeared. This one wore a white robe and had a green magic seal hover around her body, (1850 ATK / 1500 DEF).

"Wow! That's so cool!" Ruby gushed at the sight, "I didn't even know there was a form above that for Charmers."

"It has the same attack as the familiar possessed forms." Weiss commented, her monster lowering it weapons, "And that's still more than Topaz can hit over now."

"But not more than Marina," Ruby added on. "Go, attack with Sunflower Petal Shower!" she said before the princess of sunflowers unleashed burning yellow petals from her body at razor wind speeds.

"Not so fast," Wynn countered, "I reveal my trap card, Unpossessed."

"I know what card," Ruby commented, "It protects Charmers from battle, but your monster called a Channeler."

"She is also treated as Charmer by her effect." The verdant charmer said as the channeler blocked the petals with her magical seal, but the burn petals still collided with the real Wynn, "In retrospect, I should have summed her in defense mode. Or maybe activated Unpossessed Earlier." She said while scratching the back of her head, "Whoops."

Charmers: 3500 – 950 = 2550 Life Points

"Damnit, I should have seen that facedown coming," Weiss said while looking at her hand, "Or maybe I should have gone for another fusion." She slightly lowered her hand, "Now, I don't have any other plays to make."

"Don't worry, Weiss." Ruby spoke with a smile, causing the heiress Obelisk Blue to turn to her, "We got this." She said with Weiss softly smiling back.

"Okay," Weiss said before looking back at her hand, taking one card out, "I set one card and end my turn."

"Okay, my move," Eria said as she drew, "That was a really sweet moment, but teamwork takes more than nice words. I summon Familiar-Possessed – Eria in attack mode." The gentle charmer said as a clone of herself formed in attack position, (1850 ATK / 1500 DEF).

"She's right, it also takes knowing each other's abilities." Wynn responded, "I reveal Teamwork of the Possessed." She said as the trap card flipped up, "With it, I can bring back Wynn the Wind Charmer in face-up attack mode." Wynn said as another Wynn appeared next to Wynn, causing Wynn to look at Wynn with a grin, "If you're confused, it gets worse for you. Since Eria and Wynn are different attributes, I can destroy one card on the field." She said before pointing both spellcasters raised their staffs, creating an orb of water and wind, "Say good-bye to Marina."

"I don't think those." Weiss countered, "I reveal my face down, Dimensional Guardian." She said as pink aura encompassed Marina, "By equipping to an attack position monster, that monster cannot be destroyed by battle or card effect."

"Not bad, not good enough." Eria responded as she took a card out of her hand, "I play Mystical Space Typhoon, which will let me destroy that trap card." She as a Weiss gasped, seeing the pink aura fade from Ruby's monster. Eria and Wynn then launched the mystic orb, which collided with Marina in a massive explosion. As the smoke cleared, the sunflower had wilted away.

"Sorry Ruby," Weiss turned to her teammate, "I couldn't save your monster."

"It's okay," Ruby responded, "We're still in it."

"We'll see, I'm only halfway done with my combo." Eria responded, "I tribute my familiar possessed form and Wynn's Charmer form to special summon Awakening of Possessed – Gagigobyte!" the two-monster merged into a ball of light, one that glowed blue. As the water started to form inside the ball, it expanded out into a larger teal reptile creature. His golden bracers radiated electricity as he put up his fists, (2000 ATK / 200 DEF).

"Wow, they got an upgrade too!?" Ruby commented, "I was wondering where all their familiars were."

"We keep them at home when we travel to other worlds," Wynn commented.

"But right now, he is here to fight." Eria added on, "And since he was special summoned, I can force you to discard a card. So, I'll pick the one on the far right." She said as Weiss did so, sending a monster card to the graveyard. "Now, we both draw, but I'll get to you use mine before you will." She said before playing her drawn card, "I activate Bound Wand, equipping to Channer Wynn." She said as Wynn's monster gained a new staff. One with a red stone atop of a small skull, "With it, she gains 100 attack points per her levels."

"That's a 500-point increase," Wynn responded, "Thanks for the boost, Eria." She said as the channeler gain a slight red aura, (1850 + 500 = 2350 ATK). "Now, let's show then our skills." Eria nodded before pointing, "Gagigobyte, attack Gem-Knight Topaz." She declared before her familiar lunged into battle, his right arm reeled back. After dodging the lighting blades, Gagigobyte's fist ran through the chest armor. Topaz began to spark out of control before exploding. As the smoke cleared, Gagigobyte stood with his arms crossed.

RWBY: 4000 – 200 = 3800 Life Points

"We aren't done yet," Wynn said before pointing, "Now Channeler Me, attack RWBY directly!" the verdant charmer said before her monster unleashed a powerful windblast from her staff. Each of the students from Duel Academy was pushed back from the blast, landing on their backs as their life points fell below half.

RWBY: 3800 – 2350 = 1450 Life Points

"That damage, it felt real." Weiss said as she pushed herself up, "But, it didn't hurt that much."

"We don't want to hurt you." Eria commented, "But we have to keep the tension somehow." She then took one card out of her hand, "I'll set this and end my turn."

"I'm up then, my draw!" Blake said as she started her turn, causing her to smile, "Thanks to Fusion Gate, I can also perform a fusion summon by removing the material. So, I remove Lunalight Wolf and Lunalight Tiger to fusion summon Lunalight Cat Dancer!" She said before taking the two cards out of her hand, causing a vortex to appear in the middle of the field. Jumping out was the ballet Lunalight, who let out a purr upon posing, (2400 ATK / 2000 DEF), Blake then turned back to Weiss, "I drew no way to fusion summon this time, so your card really helped me out." She said with Weiss smiling back.

"Hm, maybe they do know a thing or two about teamwork," Wynn commented.

"More than that," Blake responded, "I summon Lunalight White Rabbit." She said as a bunny girl with a mallet appeared, (800 ATK / 800 DEF), "With her effect, I can bounce your spell or trap cards for every other Lunalight on my field."

"Meaning only one then," Eria commented.

"Yes, and that one is your Unpossessed trap card," Blake said with White Rabbit banging her mallet on the ground, causing the face-up trap card to go to Eria's hand. "It will be a while before you can use that card again." She said before looking to her fusion monster, "Now, I use Cat Dancer's effect. By tributing White Rabbit, she can make your monster not be destroyed by the first attack and can also attack each monster twice."

"Oh boy," Eria said in slight worry.

"Cat Dancer, attack them with Moonlight Shadow Strikes!" Blake ordered with the ballet Lunalight rushing into battle. Gagigobyte tried to land a punch, but she dodged with a backflip over him. She then slashed across his back, leaving the familiar stunned. With the second strike, she ran the daggers into his chest. The daggers had continued momentum as they ran through the body and cut past Eria, "One more thing, Cat Dancer inflicts 100 points of damage each time she attacks."

Charmers: 2550 – 400 – 100 – 400 – 100 = 1550 Life Points

"Now Cat Dancer, attack Wynn!" Blake ordered with her monster rushing in.

"Sorry, but that's not going to give you the same outcome." Eria responded, "I activate my face down card, Unpossessed." She said with Blake gasping, watch Channeler Wynn parrying the daggers with her staff, "Our decks are made with a lot of the spell and trap cards. Allowing us to combo better with one another than four random decks could."

"But you'll still take the damage." Blake said as Cat Dancer jumped back, tossing the daggers at Wynn, who barely avoided taking any deep cuts, "That puts us back in the lead. So, I end with one card face down."

Charmers: 1550 – 50 – 100 – 50 – 100 = 1250 Life Points

"Okay then, my turn." Aussa said before adjusting her glasses, then drew, "I'll play our field spell, Grand Spiritual Arts – Ichirin!" She said as the grind field shattered, replaced with four magical circles overlapping with each other.

"They got a field spell too?" Ruby commented in awe, "That's so cool!"

"It's not the only new spell you'll see," Aussa said before taking another card out of her hand, "I play Masters of the Spiritual Arts. By discarding one card, I can take two other cards out of my deck. One goes to my hand, while the other is set." She said as a face-down monster was put on the field, "Now, I will reveal that monster with Book of Taiyou."

"You do like your books." Hiita commented with a smirk, "Especially those ones with the boys and-"

"Stop talking!" Aussa interrupted with her face turning red, as well as Blake's upon overhearing and understanding, "I reveal the set monster as Familiar-Possessed - Aussa." She said as the version of herself appeared, (1850 ATK / 1500 DEF). "Next, I play another spell, the one I added to my hand, Possessed Awakening!" She said as both card versions of Wynn and Aussa glowed in an elemental aura, "You see, for each attribute on our field, monsters we control gain 300 attack points." Wynn started to smile as her green aura green, (2350 + 600 = 2950 ATK). Aussa as well as a powerful brown aura, (1850 + 600 = 2450 ATK). "Now attack!" the aloft charmer said as both monsters unleashed an elemental burst attack from their staffs.

"My Cat Dancer cannot be destroyed by battle." Blake counted as her monster put up a blocking stance.

"But as you said, you'll still take the damage." Aussa said before, "And thanks to Unpossessed, Familiar-Possessed monsters gain an extra 800 attack points during the attack." The aloft charmer said as her Familiar-Possessed from gained an even larger aura, (2450 + 800 = 3250 ATK). Both blasts collided with Cat Dancer, pushing her and each student back with barely any life points left.

RWBY: 1450 – 550 – 850 = 50 Life Points

"With that, I end my turn with one card face down." Aussa said before setting, which now filled spell and trap slots, "Your move." She said before readjusting her glasses. Her Familiar-Possessed form attack returned to normal, (3250 – 800 = 2450 ATK).

Yang pushed herself up first, looking back to see her teammates still struggling the get back up. "Okay, now you're asking for it." She said before drawing, smiling at the result. "Time for a new boss monster to show up, I destroy two monsters in my hand." She said before her hand began to spark with flames of something powerful, "That way, I can use the effect of The True Arg-"

"I use Ichirin's effect," Aussa interrupted, "Once per turn, I can negate a monster's effect and destroy it."

"What, but I didn't even get to play this guy yet!" Yang said before sighing, "Man, you really are a buzzkill." She sent all three cards to the graveyard, looking down at them in distraught. However, the fiery Ra Yellow realized something, "Wait, maybe I could-" She said while looking to Ruby, who winked back with a smile. Yang looked at her hand before seeing something, "Okay, how about this then! It's time to bring out my old reliable ace." Yang said before slamming the card down, "I summon Pyrorex The Elemental Lord!" She said as the ground erupted and blazing dinosaurs emerged, (2800 ATK /2200 DEF),

"What?" Weiss commented, "But don't you need five fire monsters for that summoning?"

"She does have five." Ruby answered, "The three she just sent, plus Lonefire and Sunflower."

"Yep, that was your plan form the start." Yang said before pointing, "Now, Pyrorex can use his effect to destroy one of your monsters."

"But that will cause the duel to end in our lose because of the recoil burn damage," Blake responded.

"Nope, their spell card Possessed Awakening prevents Charmers and Familiar-Possessed monsters from being destroyed by card effects." Yang clarified, looking to Ruby, "I knew that one's effect from the times we dueled before coming to Duel Academy."

"Yeah," Ruby said before crossing her arms, "Sad I didn't draw more often afterward."

"Go Pyrorex, attack Aussa with Vicious Inferno Impact!" Yang ordered as her monster unleashed a powerful beam of concentrated fire from its mouth. The flames engulfed Aussa, burning her to cinders. With the attributes reduced, channeler Wynn's attack fell below Yang's now, (2950 – 300 = 2650 ATK).

Charmers: 1250 – 350 = 900 Life Points

"And it looks like my thought was right." Ruby said as she looked the face-up trap card, "Unpossessed would let you bring out a different monster, but you only have one of the Chamber elements in each of your decks."

"Wow, you figured it out," Aussa responded with Wynn clapping, "But, I have a response, I reveal my face down, Teamwork of the Possessed. This will let me bring back-"

"Not so fast," Blake interrupted, "I play Trap Jammer, negated your trap that was activated in the battle phase." She said as Aussa gasped, seeing the trap card shattered.

"Thank you for the assist," Yang said, "Now going into my second main phase, I'll switch Cat Dancer to defense mode." She said as the ballet Lunalight changed to a kneeling stance, "And end with two cards face down."

"Finally, I get to go!" Hiita said as she rolled her left shoulder, "I was worried I wouldn't get a turn." She said before drawing, "First, I play Monster Reborn to bring back Aussa in attack mode." She said as the earth familiar possessed repaired, (1850 ATK / 1500 DEF). "Now, she can return the favor by explaining her spell's other effect. Unless she still wants to be a buzz-"

"Stop calling me that!" Aussa responded, "And thanks to Possessed Awakening, you draw one more card for special summoning her back."

"Cool," Hiita said before doing so, smiling at the outcome, "I am play Magical Stone Excavation, discard two so I can add Monster Reborn back to my hand. Which I'll play again to bring Eria back." She said as the water Familiar-Possessed was summoned back to the field, (1850 ATK / 1500 DEF).

"Thank you," Eria spoke.

"No problem," Hiita said before grinning at a card in her hand, "Now, say hello to Familiar-Possessed – Hiita. Also known as yours truly." Hiita said as the fire Familiar-Possessed entered the battlefield, (1850 ATK / 1500 DEF).

"Unreal, they brought all of themselves out." Ruby commented, but then realized something, "Wait, where are Lyna and Dharc?"

"Oh, those two are doing their own thing at the moment. They said they would catch up with us later." Hiita said before she back to Wynn, "I think it's time for you to activate that facedown you saved since the beginning."

"Right!" Wynn said with a nod, "I reveal Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zah!" she said as all of their opponents gasped, "With all four attributes on our field, I can choose one of many strong effects. And I think the one I'll pick," the verdant charmer said before pointing, "Is to destroy all your monsters." Suddenly, Cat Dancer and Pyrorex started to scream before exploding, leaving no monsters on RWBY's side of the field, "Don't forget about all the attack boosts as well form Possessed Awakening." She said as Hiita, Aussa, and Eria glowed in a powerful elemental aura, (1850 + 1200 = 3050 ATK). However, Wynn was the one with the strongest aura of the four, (2350 + 1200 = 3550 ATK).

"Four monsters with over 3000 attack points!" Weiss spoke in shock, "That's unreal!"

"Time to finish with, Channeler Me, Attack!" the verdant charmer said as her channeler form unleashed a powerful wind last, "You're done for!"

"Not quite," Yang responded, "I reveal my trap card, Nutrient Z!" She said with a smile, "With it, we instantly gain 4000 life points before this attack can hit." She said before the blast of wind pushed back all the team members, but none were defeated.

RWBY: 50 + 4000 – 3550 = 500 Life Points

"Okay, but we aren't done yet." Eria responded, "My Familiar-Possessed form now attacks you directly." She said was the massive water ball formed, "And with Unpossessed, she gets even stronger." She said before the attack was about to be launched, (3050 + 800 = 3850 ATK), "Take this!"

"I said not quite, and I meant it!" Yang responded, her eyes turning red, "I reveal my continuous trap, Firewall." She said as a barrier of flames intercepted the water ball, "I can negate one direct attack by removing a pyro monster from my graveyard." The fiery Ra Yellow said as she took out King Pyron she destroyed earlier, causing the water to tune to steam.

"In that case, I'll attack!" Aussa said as her Familiar-Possessed form unleashed a tremor from below, forcing jagged rocks to emerged from the ground, (3050 + 800 = 3850 ATK).

"I still have one more pyro monster to block with." Yang said as she put away the Royal Firestorm Guards she destroyed as well, causing the flames to scorch the soil to sunders, "However, that was my last one."

"In that case, it means I get the final blow." Hiita said with a smile, "I have the fire that cannot be beaten, hotter than anything you can think of!" she said as her Familiar-Possessed form sphere of heat resembling the sun, (3050 + 800 = 3850 ATK), "Time for you to burn, baby, burn!" She said as the attack was launched, causing Yang to grit her teeth. However, the flames of the firewall fought back against Hiita's attack, "WHAT! How!?"

Yang equal had a look of confusion, but then turned to the heiress obelisk blue, "I remove my pyro monster from the Graveyard," Weiss spoke as she showed the card, "Gem-Knight Sardonyx!"

"But when did you-" Eria said before her mind flashed back. The card that she had Weiss discard before, was now the same one that was being removed from play, "That's when it happened."

"Wow, nice save Weiss!" Ruby cheered.

"Yeah," Blake commented, "I wouldn't have remembered that."

"Way to go," Yang added on, winking, "I guess you got some fire in you as well."

"It was nothing, just luck from the discard." Weiss responded as she removed the monster form play, "But…Thanks…all of you."

"Well damnit, I guess I have to end my turn." Hiita said as she crossed her arms, the Familiar-Possessed forms returning to lowered attack points, (3850 – 800 = 3050 ATK), "Back to you, Ruby." She said with the hooded Slifer Red drawing, but then saw Firewall shattered itself.

"That card needs 500 life points to keep it around, or it gets destroyed." Yang commented, "Sorry Ruby, that leaves nothing on your field."

"And you're up against near-invincible monster with absurd attack points," Blake added on.

"Do you think you can win?" Weiss asked.

Ruby turned back to them with a smile, "Of course, I know we can win." She said before turning back to the duel, playing the card she drew, "I play the equip spell Mark of the Rose!" the hooded Slifer red said as Lonefire Blossom ejected from her duel disk, "By banishing a plant monster, I can take control of one of yours. And I pick Wynn!"

"Me!?" Wynn said before seeing her channeler form walk over to the other side of the field, who now had a black rose tattoo on her right cheek, "Doesn't that mess up the boost from Possessed Awakening?" She asked with everyone nodding. The Familiar-Possessed forms lost a bit of their aura, (3050 – 300 = 2750 ATK). On the other side, Wynn the Wind Channeler lost all its boost from that spell card. (3550 – 1200 = 2350 ATK).

"I guess your math was a bit off." Hiita commented, "The rest of us are still stronger."

"Except I'm not attacking with your monster," Ruby responded, "I'm tributing Wynn to summon Aromage Bergamot!" The channeler Wynn then turning into light, which morphed into a new form. Standing was a tall sage with white and crimson robes accenting his red hair. He wielded a root staff with multiple incenses radiating off it, (2400 ATK / 1800 DEF).

"Oh, neat." Hiita commented, "Still a bit too weak though."

"If you're thinking of using his effect, need I remind you that the field spell will-" Aussa was saying until Ruby interrupted her.

"I activate my Field Spell, Aroma Garden!" Ruby said as the magical circles shattered, now replaced with an overflowing flowerbed. The sweet scents filled the air as Ruby looked onwards, "Now, I activate my garden's effect to increase my life points and the attack of my Aromage by 500!" she said as she radiated a silver aura, "And thanks to his effect, he gains another 1000 attack points." She said while Bergamot radiated a red aura, one that continued to grow.

RWBY: 500 + 500 = 1000 Life Points

The charmers watched as Bergamot reach his new attack value, stronger than any monster before him in this duel, (2400 + 500 + 1000 = 3900 ATK), "But that means," Wynn spoke, "If he attacks anyone-"

"Yep," Ruby responded before pointing, "It's over, Bergamot attack with Red Fragrance's Rage!" she said with the crimson sage aiming his staff, unleash a potent red towards Familiar-Possessed forms. Each one gasped before their real selves made a matching expression. The attack resulted in a blast wave that obliterated the monster cards, but left the charmers in a stunned silence.

Charmers: 900 – 1150 = 0 Life Points

As the dust settled, the sage and the garden faded away, allowing Ruby and her friends to walk over to the Charmers, "That was a close match." Wynn said as Ruby giggled, "You four are a good team."

"Thanks," Ruby said before looking on the other, seeing Weiss chatting with Eria, Blake talking to Aussa, and Yang bragging with Hiita, "You can accomplish great things with good friends at your side."

"Agreed," Wynn said before dusting herself off, "Well, we should be sending you four back now. Don't want to mess up any of your plans during the festival."

"Are you sure, we could maybe help you four out with those Grimm monsters?" Ruby offered.

"You leave them to us, we got this situation under control," Wynn responded with a smile, "Just stay safe out there." She said with Ruby nodding back.

For the other farewells, Weiss shook hands with Eria. Blake waved goodbye to Aussa. And Yang fist bumped Hiita with her prosthetic arm. The four students faced the four charmers in a line. As a magical circuit appeared on the ground under them, an all-encompassing white light started to form, "Thanks for everything," Ruby spoke up, "But, how did you find out about us?"

"Well, I guess you could say it was your Guardian Angel." Wynn said as Ruby had a look of confusion, causing the verdant chamber to giggle, "See you around, RWBY." With those last words, the light had fully enveloped the girls.

In the Duel Academy Girl's Bathhouse, all four of the students emerged from the water, gasping for air. After catching their breaths, each turned to one another, "We're…We're back…" Yang spoke of first, "That's wasn't some trippy dream with scary monsters, shattered moons, and the Charmer cards?"

"I saw the same thing," Blake confirmed, "I think we all did."

"It wasn't a dream." Weiss commented, "It was real, and those Duel Spirits were real." She then looked over to Ruby, who had just gotten out of the bath, "What about you, do you have nothing to say about all of that?"

"Yeah, I do," Ruby said while she wrapped herself in a towel, "It was a lot of fun!" She said in a cheerful voice while walking, "This is already the best Duel Spirits Festival ever!"

Weiss watched in astonishment at Ruby's leave. Soon after, Yang then walked over and patted the heiress Obelisk Blue on the back, "We should probably follow before she gets too far ahead." She said before getting out of the water, Blake following behind. Weiss remained stunned for another second before sighing, following the rest of her friends.

In the Duel Spirits world.

The four Charmer girls looked up at the shattered moon, each having a slight smile before walking off into the distance, "Think they'll be okay?" Hiita asked Wynn.

"Yeah." Wynn responded, "I do."

AN: There you go, got to have a massive tag this time around. Now all members RWBY was on the same side for a duel, which was neat to do. The charmers were also fun to give characters for in this series, each one obviously referencing their foils from the cast. I also liked making their Duel Spirits World as Remnant inspired, it gave some cool perspective. If I had to say my favorite, it was Hiita, which is the same for the cards in general. The duel took a long time to make and I hope you liked the outcome, (Also, if you're think that Ruby could not enter the battle phase because of Pyrorex being removed from the field, I did not forget it. However, that effect only applied to Yang's next Battle Phase here. Since she was on point when the card was removed, it would be her battle phase that would be skipped on her next turn. Not Ruby's, since she was not up yet. Ruling might be wonky on that one, but I hope you can give me a pass on this because of the reasoning here and so I did not need to do massive rewrites). Overall, this was a fun chapter to write for a lot of reason, as well as to celebrate the new charmer structure deck coming out soon, of which I will buy like four or five of. On that note, I hope to come back to this series sometime early next year. That is all for now, thanks for reading, and hope to see you in the next chapter.

Now, time for some answers to your questions. To compile a few, my favorite heroine in Yu-Gi-Oh is Akiza/Aki, but Alexis is an awfully close second. It was a big debate for me if I was going to add her into this series in a similar way to Yuri, since she was a Slifer Red in the 5D's continuity. However, I begrudgingly said no. Since she would not have her ace monster, (Still will have no Synchro Summoning in this series, even for Black Rose) and I did not see a way to included her that felt right for the storyline. I have made that mistake in my stories before of including characters because I liked them, only for them to not do anything in the entire series. I did not want to do that for Akiza, since she is my favorite, (If people would want to see her, I could include her in a cameo ark or OVA chapter down the line, but no promises). Regarding duel puzzles for the other dorms, I would say no. One was enough for this series, and I felt the Ra Yellow's group had the best chemistry for solving one. Favorite Character from the GX manga would be Chazz, plus Light and Darkness Dragon was a great card back in the day, (And yes, I will give him the new Armed Dragon Thunder cards to upgrade his deck). For the last chapter of this part of the story, I think that might be the cosplay portion, which I will have the teachers cosplay as well. (Also, no Oobleck or Port at Duel Academy, this staff is set now with whom you have seen already). And, after the Duel Spirit Festival saga, Jaden's training ark will commence. I have a lot planned for that part of this series and it will be intense. If you have any other question, I will answer them in this section.

Finally, I will rapid fire give my opinion on some of the archetypes I saw in the reviews and if they would appear in this series. Souten looks cool, and if Ren was in this series, he might have played it. Draitron is cool for being a super ritual deck… but the card arts are such a mess that I can barely tell what it is. Kajiu are neat concept, but I do not see me using them here. Melodious are ones I have a plan for well in the future for this series. Worms are gross. Aliens are grosser. Steelswarm are the grossest. Fur Hire was Blake's original deck, and even was planned to be an expansion for her current one, but I still just don't like how they play. Six Samurai was also planned for Adam but was scraped and I don't think I will use them again. Harpie would be cool, as I do have a character in mind to play them, but that is still in air. Monarchs are mostly like going to be split to help out other decks fill in some space. Gravekeepers are not interesting to me, but I liked their duel in GX. Both Masked and Vision HEROs will not be here to avoid confusion with Jaden and Aster respectively. U. A. would have been used if Carden was here, but nobody likes him. Finally, Phantom Beast or Mecha Phantom Beast are not fun for me to write. Now, I don't dislike any of these decks, but I just don't have that much fun play/writing most of them. If you wish to ask me about any other ones, I would be happy to say so in sections like this.
