Burning? Befuddled, Katsumi furrows her brow at the shy streak. She feels her muscles tense up when realizing wait smoke!? Alarmed, she jolts up from her bed, her hand immediately turning to her side, her raw reds dilating when finding no pair of arms wrapped around her, furrowing her brow at the strange sense of coldness. She looks up no longer seeing a familiar pair of red wings making her furrow her brow her heart dropping at the sight, seeing a fair few feathers floating around the area but where was he…? He was phoned to do another mission? No, he would have woken her, shaken her awake at least.

"Hawks?" Bombarda calls out, brow furrowed concern clear upon her face freezing up when receiving still silence. The only sound she sort of gets is the harsh ring of metal alarming her. Urgently, she reaches out to grab her arm on the nightstand, putting it on. She gets off the bed, machining her way towards the gleaming glow of light peering into her room from the creak of the door. Scowling, her raw reds narrow as she slowly makes her way into the kitchen. She reaches out to the switch, armed and ready for anything or so she thought.

"Heeeey buddy!" Chirpily, the cheery voice calls out. Katsumi stares stunned flicking the light on when her scowling raw reds stare into a pair of yellow, hearing the soft sizzle of grease sizzling below.

"The hell are you do…what did you do to my kitchen?" Horrified, Katsumi stares stunned at the destruction of her kitchen, batter plastered all over the place, seeing the flimsy feathers of ruby red clean-up said dishes.

"…Nothing." Innocently, Hawks whistles his feathers fluttering trying to hide something from her spreading out covering something but what? Katsumi had no clue.

"This doesn't look like nothing." Gently, Katsumi remarks making her way over to him, noting his strange nervousness.

"I'll buy you some new stuff I mean…" Hawks offers as she picks up the pan, looking down at the burn marks in the frying pan, making her internally scream sorrowful at her loss.

"Hawks what were you doing?" Drained, Katsumi sighs, shuffling over to his side, noting his feathers slowly lowering just as her eyes widen when…

"I…I wanted to thank you." Hawks bows his head, scratching the back of his neck, his feathers fluttering, dropping guilty.

"Thank me?" Mystifed, Katsumi furrows her brow at him, a small yawn escaping her lips.

"For dealing with me last night. It wasn't your fight; you didn't have to do that for me." Ashamed, Hawks sighs sitting down on the table.

"Hawks…" Sighing, Katsumi takes a seat by his side.

"I was a real ass to you Katsumi. I…you were spending time with your family and I just…I was really selfish last night." Apologetic, Hawks stares solemnly down at a familiar ruby red mug making Katsumi's eyes soften at the endeavour cup.

"Well…you didn't give the best first impression to my old man." Honestly, Katsumi confesses crossing her arms over her chest.

"How bad was I?" Groaning, Hawks sighs his head in his hands.

"You vomited on my father's shoes." Bluntly, Katsumi deadpans leaning against the kitchen counter.

"You're shitting me." Horrified, Hawks blurts out bringing a small smirk to Katsumi lips when hearing him curse.

"Afraid not." Amused, she confesses.

"Urgh….maybe it's karma." Drearily, Hawks grumbles pouting.

"Look don't take it too hard my old man loves everyone. He thought you were funny." Optimistically, Katsumi offers, a small smirk of endearment upon her lips.

"I still was an ass I shouldn't have phoned you. You were with your family." Guilty, Hawks confesses pained.

"I'll admit you were a real pain in the ass." Bluntly, Katsumi states.

"I knew it." Hawks groans.

"So what is this?" Stunned, she stares down at the tray before her seeing what looks like cindered ash's of some sort, seeing shrivelled smears of what she assumed was bacon and…

"I just…forget about it. I'll put this in the bin." Hawks sighs scratching the back of his neck making Katsumi furrow her brow when noting the dejection in his tone.

"Hawks…" Softly, Katsumi's ruby reds soften sadly at him, placing her hand on his wrist making his yellows meet her reds watching his hues soften sadly before bowing his head and exhaling.

"…I thought I could make you some morning breakfast to apologise for being an ass last night. I mean you always make me grub I want to pay you back. But as you can see it's more cinders than food." Frowning, Hawks stares down at his monstrosity of a tray. He had no idea his wings would tip the orange juice when he poured it, not to mention the ashes that were meant to be bacon and the scrambled eggs looked more like goop then scrambled.

"Hey hold up." Sternly, she furrows her brow at him placing her hand on his wrist making his eyes expand from her words.

"Come on you can't eat this crap." Scoffing, Hawks crosses his arms over his chest.

"Is that a challenge?" Sternly, she smirks up at him, a glint gleaming in his raw reds.

"Kat this is barely edible." Lost, Hawks deadpans eyeing his own gloopy plate, he had his phone our ready to order some takeout.

"You didn't answer my question. Are you challenging me?" Sternly, she swipes said phone from him, her raw reds glaring, glowering into his surprised yellow, dilating at the close proximity between both pros.

"No. I'm telling you not to." Tiredly, Hawks corrects her.

"Well I want to. Sure it may look like crap but you should never judge a book by its cover." Smugly, Katsu leans back in her seat.

"You shouldn't force yourself to…" Tensely, Hawks warns her brow furrowed scratching the back of his neck, glancing to the side as Katsumi sits down. Katsumi furrows her brow noting his anxious motions surprising her, he always seemed so composed…so laid back but with the way he was eyeing the dish…

"Hey, you made this it's the thought that counts anyway." Softly, she reaches out placing her hand around his, his eyes expand when she squeezes his hand, having him sit down by her side as she reminds him.

"You're kidding me…" Katsumi don't force yourself. Hawks tells her brow furrowed.

"Hey I ain't forcing myself to do crap, I'm eating it whether you like it or not." Sternly, Katsumi tells Hawks.

"But…I didn't…look at it." Incensed, Hawks huffs gesturing to the plates before frustrated, shagging his shoulders making Katsumi's eyes soften sadly. He slumps his shoulders, slouching them looking upset, sad even beating himself up almost making Katsumi furrow her brow when seeing his feathers darken, knowing that look anyway.

"Well you poured the apple juice right." Strained, she offers.

"A child could do that…" Tutting, he huffs pouting.

"…We'll see about that." Katsumi mutters taking a bite.

"Well?" Anxiously, Hawks furrows his brow.

"It's not perfect but it's a start." Simply, Katsumi shrugs.

"You're kidding me." Hawks huffs.

"I'm not. I told you didn't I? I can't have you eating takeout's all the time and its good to see you pushed yourself to do this. Now let's eat yeah?" She tells him.

"Why eat something like this?" Scowling, he questions her.

"Cause you made it. You put effort into this Hawks you put your time into it I ain't turning it down." Seriously, she tells Hawks, his eyes widening when hearing her words, a small smile upon his lips when hearing her words, no words needing to be shed as the two greet the new day together.

"What is my life?" Bombarda couldn't help but think as she, Endeavour and Hawks chase after the bouncy ball of snow white fluff, to think inside this bouncy ball is a villain holding some jewels, she furrows her brow at the sight of the villain fleeing from them, Endeavour in the lead as always.

"STOP RUNNING YOU COWARD!" Enraged, Endeavour yells as he manages to catch up, firing a heavy hefty blast of flames at the ball but it does nothing the only thing it does is leave some singe marks of coal smearing the once pure coat.

"Well that helped." Huffing, Hawks mutters swooping down by Katsumi's side, flying by Katsumi's side as they rush after the villain, hearing the giggling jingle of money lodged into the bush of snow white.

"The hell!?" Endeavour baffled blurts out lost to see his attack do nothing.

"Insulation can get you quite far in life gentlemen and lady! Hahaha!" Cackling, the sheepish declares, his voice being muffled by the wool as next thing the group knew boulders of snow white were chucked their way absorbing the rubble remains below, growing larger and larger at the heroes some diverging towards screaming intruders.

"Dammit! " Endeavour curses

"Incoming!" Hawks calls out as Bombards nods her head, the three heroes split up as Hawks takes out two of his blade feathers striking at the feathers, only for his eyes to widen when seeing said balls be undeterred instead sucking in the feathers.

"Crap!" Bombarda scowls as she fires at the blasts back, causing the balls to be bounced back.

"My feathers can't even cut through that." Hawks curses.

"Bombarda use your explosions destroy these furballs!" Furious, Endeavour snarls seethes roaring firing his flames at the cotton balls before swiftly slamming his hands into the balls, tossing them back at the bright broad ball broadening, becoming one with the wool.

"If your flames don't work what makes you think my explosions will?" Frustrated, Katsumi demands from Endeavour only then for them to perk up at the sharp sound of screaming making them turn to see the balls beginning to devour the people pulling them into the woolly coat, making them become one along with so many others in this snowball effect.

"Tch…" Endeavour curses at the sight of the caught civilians.

"Hahahah you guys stand no chance against me." Maddeningly, the villain proclaims proudly cackling only making Katsumi scowl, her raw reds narrowing noting the road below.

"I wouldn't say that." Smirking, Katsumi calls out swiftly slamming her palm down on the raw rocky terrain of the floor.

"BAAAA!" Baffled, the startled sheep cries out taken aback at the sudden tremor causing the male to uncurl from his huddled form as Hawks smirks swiftly swooping in. The male attempts to curl into his ball form again only then to cry out from the swift speed of Hawks kicking in his back, being thrown forward tumbling down to the ground as the fluffy afro hair of his with yellow horns protruding out of him shrink down.

"D-Dammit! You….tripped me. Fine you want to have a baaaad time so be it." Incensed, the sheep snarls seething,

"Are you doing that on purpose or what?" Fed up, Katsumi questions the villain.

"What?" Said villain blinks baffled adjusting his thick lenses.

"The whole bah thing we get it you're a sheep." Sighing, Katsumi crosses her arms over her chest.

"You don't hear me saying chirp chirp chirp." Hawks joins in, joining Katsumi's side flying a bit by her side.

"Although you talk to birds, tweet tweet tweet." Teasingly, Katsumi smirks slightly amusement etched into her tone.

"Bombarda!" Blushing, Hawks whines, furrowing his brow grumpy at the smirking woman.

"What? It's funny!" Bemused, Bombarda argues.

"Cute, you know I think we are bonding right now." Hawks smirks placing his hands on his hips.

"We are not bonding." Bombards scowls sharply.

"Yes we are." Hawks winks wryly.

"No." Smoothly, she shuts him down.

"Yes." Smirking, Hawks counters.

"No." Bombarda states scowling.

"Yes." Hawks leans in peering at her.

"Can you two stop flirting, we are fighting right now." Frowning, Endeavour barks at the two snapping them both of out their thoughts.

"WE'RE NOT FLIRTING!" Frowning, Bombarda snaps back at her boss unaware of Hawks' still silence, simply smirking watching the scene play out that is until she notes him curling into a ball, alarming her to see said sheep attempt to return to his woollen form, noting the scattered shards of coin, gold and money flying high in the air, hands of greed grab said jewels joyous over this fight.

"Endeavour now!" Katsumi calls out as the male smirks deciding to give the villain a haircut, his hellish flames feasting upon the ruined remains of his now signed bald head. He cries out, his specials shining from the shimmering sun above move from side to the side disgruntled by the mess that he was now in. He then falls flat to the ground groaning, the last thing he hears before falling into the dark depths of his subconscious is the crisps click of shackles, keeping him held back. He begins counting the sheep swimming in his head.

"Good work Hawks! Amazing as always!" In awe one of his fans cry out.

"Thank you, thank you but I couldn't have done it without…" Humbly, Hawks begins but…

"So tell us why did you want to become a hero?" Rudely, a microphone is shoved in his face.

"Hm?" Hawks blinks baffled.

"Come on Hawks we've all been dying to know!" The reporter squeals smiling.

"Now, now my little chicks we still have much to do." Hawks winks mischievously making the crowd forming around them squeal.

"Hawks what's your real name? Tell us! Tell us!" The reporter begs.

"I…well…hahah well…" Awkwardly, Hawks smiles scratching the back of his head sheepish.

"Hawks we got…oi you okay?" Katsumi calls out after watching the police put the sheep villain into the police car.

"Y-Yeah I'm fine course I am co-" Nervously, Hawks smiles strained at Katsumi making her furrow her brow.

"Hawks we're heading out let's go." Katsumi hollers.

"Hold on Hawks hasn't answered our question!" Angrily, one of his fans fumes making him flinch.

"He doesn't owe you extras anything." Annoyed, Katsumi barks scaring the crowd making Hawks sigh at her animated antics.

"Excuse you?" One of the fans asks making Hawks smiles uneasily.

"You heard me. If you really like him as a hero you should respect his privacy." Pointedly, Katsumi states.

"Bombarda!" Worriedly, Hawks huffs but…

"Tch…clingy bitch!" One of the girls slur.

"You extras can call me whatever you want as if I fucking care!" Crudely, Katsumi smirks smugly, looping her arm through Hawks making his gold hues widen at the touch, feeling a faint heavy heat to his cheeks. He sweat drops when watching the girl give the middle finger to the cameras before leaving, leaving the clean-up business to Endeavour. The two head to who knows here, Hawks didn't know and honestly…he didn't care, so long as he was with her…a small soft smile crosses Hawks lips as he too joins her on the ground as they leave, heading wherever their hearts take them.

Quietly, both Hawks and Katsumi stand before a bench of sorts where Katsumi looks over at the drink dispenser, gently waiting for the beverages to drop down for them. She looks over at the hunched Hawks, slumped over the railing of the bridge, pouting pathetically almost like some child, Katsumi couldn't help but compare, a small smirk of endearment upon her lips when noting his feathers fluttering.

"Why don't you ask though?" Surprised, Katsumi jolts up at the question confusion clear upon her furrowed facial features.

"Eh?" Katsumi blurts out just as she hears the clink of the drinks that come crashing down.

"Those questions why don't you ask me?" Mystifed, Hawks asks her pushing himself off the railing slightly to turn for his gold to gaze at the brunette before him, kneeling down, crouching down to take both mint coffees.

"Because you clearly don' want to talk about." Bluntly, Katsumi deadpans making Hawk furrow his brow befuddled by her frank firm answer as she passes him a mint coffee.

"And you're okay with that?" Tense, he furrows his bow shyly accepting the beverage before him, staring sadly down at the drink.

"Hey your past is your past I don't expect you to tell me everything." Casually, Katsumi shrugs opening her drink and taking a small swig of it.

"But…don you want to know?" Frowning, his fingertips fidget around the railing of the bridge, staring solemnly down at the washing waves of blue below him.

"Of course I do but I know its clearly touchy for you." Unfazed, Katsumi states the fact firmly to the blushing blonde. She had seen how fans would ask him and how he'd freeze, it was his feathers that caught her up, it was strange to say feathers showed feelings but they were apart of him and since getting to know him, she picked up on the subtle cues of the feathers.

"I mean aren't you mad that you don't know?" Shyly, the blonde moves his drink about almost as if it were a win glass swirling the contents within despite it being a can, a can he cannot see through.

"Hawks you're my friend I'm sure you have your reasons." Resolute, Katsumi states the obvious, she means he never asked how she lost her arm and she appreciated that. So many had asked her it and it wasn't a story she was exactly joyous to answer so she got it. She understood why he'd want to keep somethings on the down low she respected his privacy just as he was learning to do the same.

"But….don't you want to know?" Pouting, he asks as Katsumi furrows her brow by the almost childishness tint to his voice. She simply stares at the boy before her, looking almost disappointed about her lack of prying despite a few moments ago looking relieved. Honestly, she grew up fearing women for being complicated, for being temperamental, for being a storm in itself, she got why people feared women, her mother was one of them but honestly Hawks was a ship of his own, a hurdle, a typhoon of his own, a puzzle that she herself still had yet to decipher or properly understand at the least comprehend the concept.

"Well yeah everyone does but just because I would like to know something doesn't mean I'm going to force you to tell me just to satisfy my own curiosity that's just being an ass." Annoyed, Katsumi answers his question once more, repeating it almost as she sighs, furrowing her brow by the faint tinge of annoyance flowing through her at this pointless conversation. It wasn't as if she didn't care or that she didn't want to know his past, sure a part of her was curious to know why Hawks was the way he was but she wouldn't let this curiosity control her. He had his own life just as she did, he had his own secrets just as she did. She got that and was going to respect that. It wasn't like she didn't care for him and his past but pressing him about it wouldn't be the right thing, even Katsumi knew that, she knew she had to wait when he was ready and wait she would for that day, that is if he ever felt comfortable about it. She wasn't entitled to his life story just as she wasn't to his and that's what she liked about this relationship of theirs, they didn't have to go into backstories, into any of the normal crap, she could just say what she wanted just like he could.

"Kat…" Hawks begins brow furrowed as her own brow furrowed, well he hoped she felt that way anyway as she ignores the shy stream of sweat sliding down her temple in her head anyway.

"Look dumbass I trust in the fact that you'll tell me someday and if you don't that's okay the past doesn't matter you're you that's all that matters." Tiredly, Katsumi sighs slumping her shoulders lightly elbowing him as his gold hues widen when hearing her words.

"You okay? Katsumi furrows her brow when noting his still silence, alarming her even to see the chatter box, to see the incarnate of a perky parrot be stoic, be silent. He simply stares out at nothing zoning out almost as she places her hand on his shoulder, making him flinch from her touch.

"Y-Yeah…" Hawks smiles strained at the clearly confused Katsumi not saying a word simply shrugging it off until noting his glassy gold gazing into her ruby red. Her brow furrows when noting the strange sensation of emotions in his gold but brushes the thoughts aside.

"Are you crying?" Concerned, Katsumi asks him brow furrowed.

"N-No!" Shyly, he smiles strained, removing his goggles swiftly swiping with the back of his jacket sleeve. She sighs at the poor attempt as she then takes note of her phone of Endeavor dismissing them for the day making her sigh.

"Let's get you back to your agency." She tells Hawks placing her hand on his shoulder, his hues widening when hearing her words, complying to her words. They leave the park, finishing their small mini break of sorts.

*What did you think of Katsumi's words to Hawk or his attempt at cooking? Would love to know!*
