"So…has everyone done their homework?" Cheekily, Kane questions the others smirking smugly amused almost coyly smirking at both Bombarda and Haneul, sitting side by side as the camera plays…
"Could you not call it homework?" Huffing, Katsumi slumps her shoulders sighing.
"But it was we did work at home." Honestly, Haneul points out.
"This is hardly homework." Katsumi dismisses.
"Yeah it's enjoyable." Kane joins in.
"Speaking of who should go first?" Frowning, Haneul asks.
"Oh me! Me so guys this is my grid for best games!" Giddily, Kane cheers proudly gesturing to the screen showing the grid before everyone.
"...Why am I not surprised?" Scowling, Haneul sighs.
"What?" Kane furrows his brow befuddled.
"These are all otome games." Haneul gestures to the screen.
"Good otome games." Defensively, Kane crosses his arms over his chest.
"Holy shit wasn't that done by that coffee cup guy?" Haneul smiles softly at the art style.
"The original otome game masterpiece developer." Merrily, Kane smiles softly at the memory.
"So I have no idea what you guys are talking about." Bluntly, Bombarda deadpans.
"Come on you must have played one of these at least once." Kane argues.
"Not really no." Deadpanned, Bombarda leans back in her seat scowling.
"You're shitting me." Kane chuckles coyly.
"I've never played a dating sim." Seriously, Bombarda tells the two.
"It's not just a dating sim it's a visual novel!" Kane argues annoyed.
"…Suuure." Katsumi draws out.
"So you liked the time travel one." Intrigued, Haneul leans forward fascinated by the screen.
"Yes Landon is my spirit animal he's just so sad! His little brother is a little shit though what's his name? He died his hair blue." Blushing, Kane beams brightly animated gushing at the screen.
"Oh Toby maybe? I don't know I liked the green moon one with the cat guy." Haneul places her forefinger upon her chin thoughtfully at the memory.
"Cat guy?" Lost, Katsumi furrows her brow befuddled.
"Which ones the mummy or the thief?" Kane asks as Katsumi feels a sharp sweatdrop descend down the side of her tense temple.
"I'm…I'm so confused…" Uncomfortable, Katsumi exclaims.
"We need you to play one." Kane smirks smugly slamming his fist down on the table below.
"Yeah but which one?" Haneul furrows her brow at the thought.
"Maybe the original one memory days." Kane considers.
"Yeah that would be a good start point oh I see her definitely dating Kai." Humming, Haneul considers.
"…I'm so confused right now…" Katsumi repeats muttering under her breath brow furrowing.
"Why don't you give us one of yours?" Haneul turns to Katsumi.
"Um right…I guess Pokémon platinum." Katsumi gestures to said title on screen.
"You're a Pokémon fan?" Kane arches a brow.
"…Who isn't?" Kasumi shrugs.
"Never played it." Kane smirks smugly.
"…What was wrong with your childhood?" Disgusted, both Bombarda and Haneul chorus.
"I played Digimon." Lazily, Kane shrugs horrifying both of them.
"Do not compare that disgrace of a series to Pokémon." Katsumi snaps sharply.
"I don't know right now seems fitting." Dryly, Haneul huffs.
"Okay Pokémon tight now isn't the best but this, this is the best one." Katsumi smirks smugly.
"Ah a gen fourer…" Kane nods his head in understanding.
"Ever since the fairy type popped up Pokémon's been crap." Crudely, Katsumi sighs.
"I thought the exp was the problem." Haneul furrows her brow befuddled.
"Well that too the exp share is just broken but also…" Katsumi continues regardless.
"Also doesn't it allow poison types to be useful?" Haneul points out lost.
"I guess but it also makes already overpowered Pokémon OP I mean Gardevoir did not need the fairy typing Pokémon like mawile yes. But the fairy type stats are too much. " Katsumi exclaims.
"Doesn't it help balance dragon types?" Haneul furrows her brow befuddled.
"And that's the issue, dragon types are op as people made them were hard to raise and to catch, you earned it when they reached the final evolution. You felt like you earned it but with fairy types it just makes you wonder what's the point in dragon types you know?" Katsumi attempts to explain.
"Not really no." Kane shrugs aloofly.
"So…you never played a Pokémon game?" Stunned, both Bombarda and Haneul stare stunned at Kane.
"Nope." Kane smirks smugly leaning back in his seat.
"Haneul?" Katsumi turns to the green eyed girl.
"I played emerald." Casually, Haneul shrugs her shoulders pointing to the gird showing a certain lizard like dragon on the cover.
"Not even the spin offs?" Surprised, Katsumi questions Kane.
"Spin offs?" Kane raises a brow befuddled.
"Coliseum and gales of darkness? Two of the best spin offs." Katsumi says smirking smugly.
"Their only spins offs." Kane assumes arrogantly."
"Mystery dungeon would beg to differ." Dubiously, Haneul points out gently tapping on the grid showing explorers of the sky side by side with Pokémon emerald.
"Guessing you're going to make me play one." Kane leans into the plush pillow of his hand.
"If I have to play one of your shitty games you have to play one of mine. " Smugly, Katsumi states the fact firmly leaning back in her seat smirking.
"It's a deal." Dubiously, Kane smirks smugly, clasping hold of Bombarda's hand as the two smirk shaking hands, confirming said deal as the podcast soon concludes with Kane inviting everyone over to party but Katsumi refuses, having plans elsewhere.
Katsumi heads out of the office building, her ruby reds soften slightly, perking up at the faint feathers of scarlet smoothly greeting her where a familiar blonde sits perched upon the railing between the road and pavement. Where onlookers optimistically greet the blonde beaming brightly at them being polite, signing stuff, giving selfies until the crowd disperse when Hawks glistening gold meet Katsumi's ruby reds.
Flawlessly, he dismisses his fans leaving him. He gets off the railing making his way to Bombarda, taking her bag as a fair few eyes land on the two, Bombarda not even batting an eye to them as they turn their back to Hawks fans. Hawks happily converses with Bombarda, his gold gleaming in a world of his own as she too says farewell to the people, glaring, glowering at her, hearing the low bitter bitch sent her way which she happily returns with flipping them off.
A fair few gawk gaping at the sight swiftly snapping at the sight which she doesn't even bat an eye too while Hawks simply smirks, smiling softly endearingly at the woman by his side as the two head home.
Quietly, the soft shining light of the lamp on the desk stands tall before the tired dishevelled brunette staring sombrely down upon the papers littered about the desk. Her brow furrowed as she stares at the papers, her raw reds twitching slightly. She pinches the bridge of her nose, ignoring the sharp sting to her blurry vision. She had to focus, she had to, she had to…Katsumi shakes her head brushing it off as she reaches out to the mug by her side, a ruby red mug with a familiar flame motif. She sips from the rim of the cup., trying to focus on the task at hand with the quick boost to her systems. She is oblivious to a certain red winged warrior wandering through the shimmering skies of the night, his gold widening when noting the shy stream of light emitting from a familiar room. Curiosity gets the best of the bird descending down from a familiar balcony, glancing over at a certain hammock before placing his hand on the window pulling it aside with ease as he enters the house, almost as if it were expecting him. He furrows his brow when seeing the brunet by her desk.
"Bit late to be working eh Kat?" Surprised, Bombarda jolts up at the voice turning to see the small smirk of Hawks, exhaustion etched into his fatigued facial features paling in comparisons to the woman opposite him. He removes his lenses, having finished his night patrol.
"No rest for the wicked Hawks." Briskly, Bombarda brushes him off making him furrow his brow.
"Well I wouldn't call you wicked." Hawks offers unsure, smiling strained at her, a part of him having hoped to see her in bed, having hoped she had just left the lights on but he sighs, he knew better than that, he knew how she was, it hurt seeing her work herself ragged…
"Some would beg to differ." Drained, Bombarda hollowly heckles making Hawks furrow his brow.
"Katsumi…you shouldn't push yourself so hard." Hawks approaches her side, wrapping his arms around her bringing her into a side hug making her sigh bowing her head, feeling her head begin bowing down before she quickly corrects herself, forcing herself not to doze in his arms.
"I'm not pushing myself." Mumbling, she grumbles slowly lowering her pen.
"Look at you, your bags have bags!" Hawks leans down placing his hands on either side of her facial features, his thumb gently pressing into her cheek slightly drawing patterns into the side of her head, gently pulling her bags down, concern clear on his face.
"Have you looked at yourself lately?" Katsumi smirks slightly.
"I told you I'd be having more night patrols. It's why we had that agreement." Attentively, he reminds her making her sigh slumping her shoulders at the mention of said question. If the two had any late questions which normally would be Hawks he'd come swooping in, approaching their…her bed, moving the sheet aside so the two could sleep. His place isn't as close as hers is and the two would go to bed early. It helped them both and yet here they were…
"Look just five more minutes and…I'll come to bed." Bombarda promises Hawks.
"And I can believe that?" Hawks furrows his brow down at her, grabbing hold of a nearby chair alerting Katsumi.
"Hawks…what are you doing?" Lost, Katsumi furrows her brow at the blonde.
"I'm staying until you're done." Determined, Hawks crosses his arms over his chest cross.
"Hawks you have work tomorrow you can't afford to be tired." Truthfully, Katsumi tells him.
"And you can?" Hawks huffs crossing his arms over his chest.
"It's just paperwork." Katsumi huffs.
"Exactly, you could come back to people berating you for your sloppy paper work." Hawks warns her.
"You think my paperwork is sloppy?" Scowling, her eyes narrow glaring, glowering at him.
"In your state I'm surprised drool is not on here." Hawks remarks, his gold narrowing at the stacks upon snowy stacks of white.
"Hawks…just go to bed you got a tough day tomorrow. I'll come soon after." Annoyed, Katsumi pinches the bridge of her nose.
"Nope." Resolute, Hawks leans back in his seat.
"Hawks." Katsumi scowls at him.
"No." Hawks refuses.
"Urgh…fine just let me finish this." Tiredly, she sighs at him.
"Let me help.." Hawks sighs.
"You're tired." She argues.
"So are you." Hawks counters poking at her cheek.
"…Fine." Sighing, she gives in as he too joins her side, the two beginning to write the paperwork that is until Hawks' gold perk up at the scarred hand by his side, his gold gleam glisten perking up at the sight of her hand.
"…What are you doing?" Bombarda perks up at Hawks hand over hers raising a brow at the sight.
"I never noticed how scarred your hand is." Gently, Hawks whispers entwining his hand through hers bringing a ruby red tint to her cheeks.
"You have a hand fetish or something?" She arches a brow at Hawks.
"No I just…I never even noticed before." Honestly, Hawks confesses squeezing her hand through his making his raw reds deepen darken even.
"It's nothing really just some scars I got from my explosion quirk." Aloofly, Katsumi shrugs her shoulders, the blush bright broad upon her ruby red cheeks.
"Your quirk?" Curious, Hawks hums.
"Yeah, my first time with my quirk caused me to go to hospital I had to have stitches." Katsumi answers looking over at her scarred hand.
"Stitches…I never I mean I was born with my wings but you…you had to adapt." Hawks squeezes her hands, rubbing his thumb over her hand.
"It's not that big of a deal. I just had to explode my hands now and again to toughen my skin, to get used to the pain back then…" Truthfully, Katsumi confesses to Hawks.
"That's…" Hawks begins brow furrowed.
"There would be bad days sure…the amount of times the doctor warned me about nerve damage…" Katsumi chuckles strained at the memory.
"And that didn't scare you?" Hawks raises a brow befuddled.
"…Sometimes but if I didn't do it I wouldn't have mastered my hand, I would still be scared of my hands, of my quirk." Katsumi confesses.
"You really are something else you know that?" Hawks confesses in awe almost at her making her blink baffled, feeling faint ruby red smears crossing her cheeks.
"…Come on let's go to bed." Katsumi sighs standing up.
"You sure?" Hawks raises a brow before yawning making her smile softly as he clocks his head to the side softly placing his head on her shoulder nuzzling, nestling into her side making her smile softly.
"Yeah…come on." Gently, Katsumi smiles softly at him, squeezing her hand in his. They leave, heading to bed, where the two wrap their arms around one another, nuzzling nestling into one another's side as they go to bed, descending down into the dark depths of their minds…
