"Well, well what do I find here…this certainly brings back memories." Smugly, the redhead remarks as he looks down at the brunette before him, her heart having dropped, feeling the girl's fingertips dig deep into the fabric of her jacket as her own arms tighten around the girl, quivering, quaking in her arms.
"Ryoma…" Scowling, Bombarda glares daggers at the smirking male with longish wild locks of ruby red, his coal crisp glare down at her, a eye patch of leather of some sort draped over his scarred side. He wears a loose suit of black and red, wearing black trousers, black shoes with a ruby red jacket, a cola black collared shirt with a ruby red tie loosely dangled down from his neck.
"Yes, yes that's my name don't wear it out love." Ryoma winks cheekily at Bombarda, glaring daggers at him.
"I'm not your love." Poisonously, Katsumi sneers her toxic tongue spitting out said facts.
"Still as fickle as ever I see." Sighing, Ryoma furrows his brow disappointed almost.
"Still as rude as ever I see." Smoothly, she retorts, brow furrowed.
"Rude…is that what you call me after all these years Katty I'm hurt…" Huffing, Ryoma stretches his arms out.
"How are you acquainted with this child?" Curtly, she demands from him, feeling the girl's grip on her tighten.
"U-Uncle…" Whimpering the girl cries nuzzling into her side further.
"Well as the kid says I'm her uncle." Ryoma smirks smugly.
"You never told me you had family." Katsumi remarks sceptical.
"And you never told me your quirk would blind me." Bitterly, Ryoma sneers making Katsumi flinch from his words.
"Don't…" Warningly, she seethes, grinding her teeth together, it was an accident, it was…it was…
"What's wrong? Can't take responsibility for your actions?" Arrogantly, Ryoma heckles making her flinch from his words.
"It wasn't my fault you can't keep blaming me." Mad, Katsumi snaps at him only to falter from the girl's flinch.
"Blaming you? Why would I blame someone I so kindly forgave…?" Frowning, Ryoma remarks.
"That's not what I'm getting…!" Grunting, Katsumi begins but…
"Can you blame me for being a bit bitter? You did blind me you know? I wanted to go into U.A too until you dashed my dreams." Ryoma sneers swiftly cutting Katsumi off.
"You dashed your own dreams…" Bluntly, Katsumi deadpans.
"Are those the delusions you tell yourself at night in that fancy penthouse of yours, looking down on those that praise you, worship you…celebrating a villain like you…what has the world come to…?" Ryoma sighs shaking his head making Katsumi grimace pained by his words, bowing his head.
"…Ryoma why does this child have bandages on her?" Shakily, she demands from him seething, snarling baring her feral fangs warning him. He takes a step forward, but he remains undeterred simply smirking down at her attempt.
"She's a clumsy kid you know how brats are…" Aloofly, he brushes her off.
"Ryoma…she's trembling in my arms now you tell me what did you do?" Seething, she demands from him, her grip tightening around him.
"Perhaps I can tell you over some tea sometime just us for old times sake?" Smirking, he offers.
"Ryoma you didn't answer my question!" Angrily, Katsumi snaps at him but…
"We best be going now, come Eri…" Smoothly, he ignores her, turning to smile at Eri.
"D-Don't go." Feebly, Eri whimpers, her grip tightening around Katsumi breaking her heart.
"Eri…now." Sharply, Ryoma snaps just as Katsumi's raw reds widen when seeing his fingertips contort, hearing the crips crunch of bone turning, shifting into claws, making Eri's raw reds dilate shaking, quivering, quaking at the sheer sight of said claws.
"O-Oi Eri!" Surprised, Katsumi's eyes expand as Eri drops down from her arms.
"P-Please forget about me." Meekly, Eri begs sniffling, whimpering when she rushes back over to Ryoma.
"What are you even doing here Ryoma?" Katsumi demands from him hurt to see her cling to his trouser leg.
"Just came to treat Eri to a snack she's been a good girl this week." Smirking, he places his hand on her head, his grip tightening around her long locks.
"What do you mean by good girl?" Katsumi sneers disgust drenched in her tired tone.
"Relax it ain't nothing like that. You know me Katty I ain't into loli's more of a tsundere guy myself." Cheekily, Ryoma winks.
"You're disgusting." Katsumi shakes her head at him.
"And you should know who you're talking to especially considering the situation you're in." Smugly, Ryoma proudly proclaims said fact.
"My situation?" Scowling, Katsumi's raw reds narrow.
"Thanks to Eri wandering off, I'm in between two buildings two of which I could easily destroy with a click of my fingers, two buildings with thousands of people inside, including that sidekick of yours. You can't save both, a train track situation will occur either way a number of people will die if you don't behave." Smugly, he points out making Katsumi curse internally from his words as after a moment of silence of thinking of trying to find some way out of this…
"…What do you want?" Katsumi sighs slumping her shoulders.
"I just want my sweet sister back okay?" Sickly sweetly, he smiles quirking his head to the side.
"…Ryoma." Katsumi seethes.
"Look relax would ya? We both know that throw through the building did more to you than meets the eye. You may be out walking but you're still resting. I could very well make this harder for you. But I'm a nice guy. I'm feeling generous today." Dubiously, he winks at her.
"Generous?" She scowls at him.
"If you like the girl so much you can talk to her again, we can meet up get coffee…So long as you aren't being tracked of course." Coyly, he looks over at his nails flexing his claws.
"…Why…? Why are you doing this?" Tiredly, Katsumi questions confused.
"What's wrong with a game of catch up between two classmates?" Cheerily, he argues.
"What's wrong is it's you." Katsumi answers annoyed.
"If you don't want to see the girl again…" Ryoma turns his back to her taking the girl with her wincing from the sharp tug.
"F-Fine I'll…I'll do it." Katsumi steps forward furrowing her brow at the girl's grimace.
"That's a good girl Katty…" Relieved, Ryoma smiles at her just as she hears the sound of frantic footsteps.
"B-Boss! They didn't have Kane's crisps but they had some apple flavoured chew candy." Innocently, Haneul reveals herself smiling softly as Katsumi flinches from her sidekick.
"Right…" Eri catch. Katsumi takes the apple candy tossing it over to the girl.
"I…" Eri clumsily catches said sweets.
"Now what do you say to the heroes Eri." Endearingly, Ryoma smiles sickly down at her.
"T-Thank you." Shakily, she bows her head, her grip tightening around the candy, squeezing it.
"That's my girl. We'll see you Katty." Cheerily, Ryoma winks at her before turning his back to her and leave, Katsumi's ruby reds never leaving the teary eyes of the girl by his side.
"Who was that Boss?" Confused, Haneul asks once they are out of sight.
"…No one." Coldly, Katsumi tells Haneul her head down brushing past the confused Haneul aware of Katsumi's furrowed frown, of her grim, dark dreary facial features warped with guilt.
Quietly, the brunette in her black middle school uniform wanders through the hallway, books in hand. Silently, she furrows her brow when feeling numerous eyes upon her…
"Isn't that…the girl who scarred Ryoma?"
"Can't believe the school let that villain in the school…"
"She's a freak, the police should have arrested her on the spot. She's a danger to society."
"Yeah, they say whoever she touches they get burnt."
"That would explain those books of hers have you seen how scorched they are…?"
The girl stops in her steps alarming those watching her feeling their eyes upon her back as she turns, her raw reds glaring at the murmuring conversing crowd swiftly silencing them.
"If you lowly extras have a problem with me then speak the fuck up!" Loudly, she snarls snapping at the group, baring her feral fangs at them making the students squeak back, fear plastered upon their faces. They quickly disperse leaving the brunette alone. She scowls at the empty hallway before her, feeling their eyes linger from the shadows. She curses at the lowly extras and their useless prattling. It's not like any of them mattered to her anyway. They didn't matter to her, they were nothing but npcs, extras, lowly pebbles for her to step on to make her way through this hellhole of a school as soon as she was out of here the better.
"Katsumi!" Cheerily, the voice calls out making the brunette flinch from the voice, a dark dreary look upon her face, flinching form the hand clasping hold of her. Shakily, she turns to look up into a pair of familiar raw red and the eyepatch of sorts slung over the other side of his face as his long raw red locks dangle down from the side of his messy bun hairstyle.
"There you were I was thinking of going out to the arcade let's go." Smirking, the redhead drapes his arm over the brunette.
"I…rather not." Sighing, the brunette furrows her brow scowling, glaring to the side.
"What?" The redhead grins down at her, his grip tightening around her making her scowl.
"I have work to do Ryoma." Roughly, she shoves his hand off her grumbling, glaring daggers at the male before her, brushing his hand off scarlet scaley, ignoring the sharp sting of his claws dig deep into her shoulder unaware of him cradling his hand. He glares down at the brunette back turned to him.
"And here comes perfect princess Katsumi thinking she's too good for us with that godly quirk of hers." Haughtily, the redhead hollers making Katsumi scowl, her raw reds narrowing, brow furrowed as she sees a fair few eyes on her making her body tense up.
"That…" Katsumi attempt to argue, her raw reds glancing from side to side down to the floor below, brow furrowed, her grip tightening around her books. Shy streams of smoke spew out from the books clutched to her chest.
"And here I am trying to show her some humility by bringing her down to earth. She thinks she's too good for us don't you Katsumi?" Smugly, the redhead turns towards the boys behind him, the trio easily towering over her as she shakes, quivering, quakes looking like a volcano about to erupt her raw reds shaking. She grinds her teeth together, noting a teacher in the doorway, watching on, his narrowed reds glaring glued on her.
"That isn't…" Scowling, Katsumi's fingertips flex around the scorched books, brow furrowed at the teacher, she could feel their careful gaze on her, watching her, one wrong move and she's out of here. She knew that, she knew that rule far too well. She…she didn't want to cause trouble, she caused enough…she….
"Trying to be modest now? Geez and here I thought we were friends…even after what happened I forgave you. Not many people would do that you know?" Smugly, Ryoma gestures to his eyepatch making her freeze, flinching from his words.
"…" Anguished, she grimaces grinding her teeth together from his words. He smirks smugly down at her.
"Besides don't you think you're being a bit unfair to the students around here. They wanna learn to you know? But how can they learn when they feel so uncomfortable with a villain walking through their walls?" Slyly, Ryoma remarks looking over at his nails making her flinch from his words. Her dilated raw reds look over at the students hiding away from her looking away fearful of her making her bow her head.
"…I…I…Let's go." Katsumi bows her head helpless.
"That's what I like to hear. You're the best Katsu the best of the best! Come on there's this game we gotta try!" Earnestly, Ryoma tells the young Katsumi reluctantly following after him, his henchmen behind him as they leave the school halls. Katsumi grimaces at the sharp sting of claws digging deep into her shoulder.
"Urgh…" Groaning, Katsumi grimaces at the sharp searing sensation in her head, cradling it, trying to deal with the agonising headache in her head. She combs her fingertips through her brown roots hearing nothing but ringing. Her raw reds dilate when noting the shaky sheen build-up in her bloodied bloodshot hues.
"Shit! Shit! Stupid fucking…" Furiously, she swipes at the tears freely falling, trying to wipe it away. She wasn't…she wasn't that girl anymore, she was stronger now, she was better now, she was…she was…
"Bam!"
"H-Huh?" Startled, Katsumi jolts up at the sound turning towards the window here her ruby reds widen when seeing a familiar figure having banished into her window but that isn't what concerns her its his attempt after attempt, does he not…? Alarmed, Katsumi's eyes expand when seeing the scarlet splatter upon her window.
"Shit!" Urgently, she rushes over to the struggling bird's side swiftly sliding the window door open where the yellow blur bashes into her making her groan, crying out as she comes crashing down to the ground groaning. Slowly, she opens her ruby reds only then to narrow them when meeting a familiar pair of gold staring down at her pinned form.
"Hawks?" Groaning, Katsumi grimaces wincing as she blinks a fair few times trying to adjust her vision focusing in on the blonde on top of her. She furrows her brow at the sight of the blonde before her, having pinned her down to the ground, ignoring the shy stream of heat in her cheeks.
"Urgh…my head." Hawks groans cradling his head, standing up slightly, his gold widening when finding her pinned position, a heavy hue of ruby red smeared upon his cheeks.
"The fuck you doing here?" Scowling, she questions him confused, her eyes narrowing at him.
"Came to check on you." Hawks reveals as he removes his visor.
"Why?" Confused, Katsumi furrows her brow at him.
"You weren't answering your texts. I got worried." Shyly, Hawks reveals scratching his cheek looking away unaware of her sharp scowl as he stands up offering his hand out to her only making her scowl.
"For fuck sake Hawks I can live alone I don't need to be babied!" Scowling, she snaps at him standing up slightly.
"I never said you could live alone." Sighing, Hawks points out brow furrowed as she slaps his hand away as she shakily stands by herself, stumbling slightly making Hawks reach out to her but she brushes him off, fuming, feeling her blood boil.
"But its what you think right? It's what you all think? You think I'm weak, you think I can't look after myself, you think I can barely look after myself all because of this stupid fucking…" Fuming, Katsumi rants, pacing back and forth poison dripping down her tone.
"Hey, hey, come on don't say that." Tentatively, Hawk's gold soften sadly at her as she plops herself down on the bed.
"I don't need people, I don't…I don't need you, I don't need Endeavour, I don't…I'm strong." Seriously, she says out loud, almost telling herself that as she stares sadly down at the floor below.
"Katsumi…" Tentatively, Hawks steps froward furrowing his brow clearly concerned for the brunette's bloodshot hues.
"I'm strong." Sniffling, she whispers, trying to fight back against the sob as her voice cracks breaking Hawk's heart.
"I know that. You're the strongest person I know!" Earnestly, Hawks tells Katsumi standing in front of her.
"H-Huh?" Confused, Katsumi furrows her brow at the hands on either side of her head.
"I mean the way you destroyed that rubble when it came crashing down it could have harmed the people below but you risked tearing a ligament to keep them strong, that selfishness of yours is strength and I haven't even mentioned your fighting skills. The way you punched that thief a while back I thought he was going to go through two buildings!" Amazed, Hawks gushes in awe, his gold gleaming, glistening, beaming brightly as Katsumi simply stares stunned at the boy before her, the tears threatening to fall.
"It was one." Disheartened, she sniffles only to feel his thumb wipe away the stray tear threatening to fall.
"Katsumi I haven't seen anyone punch someone so easily and get them thrown into a building sure you see it in movies but…you're strong Katsumi you're the strongest person I know." Honestly, Hawks confesses to her. He sits down on her lap, his legs either side of her as he tells her.
"Hawks…" Sniffling, she bows her head, trying to fight back the tears.
"…Please don't cry." Softly, he whispers wiping more tears away as she sniffles only then to perk up at the faint ruffle of…
"…Hawks?" Confused, Katsumi freezes from her crying turning to look up at him with a blank expression.
"Yeah?" Innocently, Hawks smiles.
"What's that?" Katsumi points downwards towards…
"Oh right here." Hawks smiles shyly revealing a brown bag in his hand.
"Huh?" Confused, Katsumi stares at the bag mainly the grease staining collecting below.
"Special delivery!" Sweetly, Hawks sings out in a sing song tone.
"Chicken?" Confused, Katsumi takes the bag assuming it.
"Good chicken. I thought you hadn't ate so I thought we could eat together." Hawks reveals as she sniffles peering into the bag.
"Hawks…" Touched, Katsumi smiles shyly at the boy before her only then to falter when a sudden stream of ruby red descends down his nose.
"Holy shit!" Sharply, she blurts out jolting up only making Hawks cry out as quickly, she tries to reach out to him but fails, her one arm barely managing to hold the bird before he crumbles to the ground.
"What was that for?" Frowning, Hawks groans cradling his head only then for his golds to widen when seeing scarlet smear his gloves.
"Your nose! Dumbass!" Angrily, she scowls at him rushing over to his side, trying to help him up.
"My nose?" Lost, Hawks blinks befuddled watching Katsumi rush over, strapping her arm on, not her battle arm but a more causal looking one if anything was to go by.
"Come on we got to get that treated…" Sternly, she takes his hand in hers, unaware of his yellows dilating at the sight of their hands. Hawks smiles shyly, a heavy hue of red upon his cheeks when he squeezes her hand testing to see if this was all real as next thing he knew he was in the kitchen, a first aid kit opened as she tended to his nose.
"Sorry about this." Apologetic, he smiles softly unable to internally think how cute it was how focused she was on his nose.
"It's fine." She tells him as she closes the box, her job done.
"Is my nose okay? I got a shoot tomorrow." Worriedly, Hawks furrows his brow.
"Your nose is fine Hawks relax." Sighing, she assures him.
"You sure it's fine?" He raises a brow when seeing her stern scowl.
"I'm sure it's fine." Exasperated, she sighs at the blonde.
"So it's not fine!" Hawks jolts up from his seat startling her.
"Hawks it's fine you're lucky its not bruising." Sternly, she scolds him as he grabs a spoon from the utility drawer, gasping.
"I look hideous." Horrified, Hawks gapes at the reflection.
"That's because a spoon is a warped reflection dumbass." Drained, she sighs swiftly snatching said spoon from him.
"Y-Yeah…you got a point there." Sheepishly, he smiles scratching the back of his neck only to cry out in shock when she swiftly snatches his nose, moving his head back.
"Now lean back or else the blood will come out again." Severely, she advises him.
"…Right. Sorry." Groaning, he sighs taking her fingers place as he sighs sadly, sitting back down dejected almost.
"Something wrong?" Curious, Katsumi questions him.
"I was meant to come here to cheer you up and yet here you are looking after me…again." Ashamed, Hawks bows his head sadly eyeing the bag of food placed to the side on the table.
"You make it out like some chore." Chuckling, Katsumi smirks softly.
"Isn't it?" Pouting, Hawks leans into the plush pillow of his glove.
"Nah." She answers making his hues widen when hearing her words.
"Seriously?" Surprised, Hawks blinks baffled.
"You're surprisingly good company." Katsumi remarks as she takes the packing out of the bag, furrowing her brow at the greasy food.
"I am?" Astonished, Hawks arches a brow bemused.
"Don't let this get to your head got it. Your ego is as big as your wingspan." Smirking, Katsumi jokes.
"So you noticed…?" Hawks smirks smugly at her, a glint gleaming in his yellow hues.
"It's sort of hard not too." Truthfully, Katsumi answers.
"Eh sometimes you can't help it." Hawks smirks smugly.
"I'm sure…" Scoffing, Katsumi rolls her eyes exasperated.
"You…wanna talk about it?" Curious, Hawks asks making Katsumi sigh.
"There's not much to talk about just an old school memory." Strained, she smiles.
"Oh yeah?" Hawks hums.
"Yeah…" Katsumi exclaims.
"About any middle school crushes or anything?" Intrigued, Hawks leans in fascinated.
"Nothing as juicy as that I'm afraid." Amused, she shakes her head at him.
"Aww…" Hawks pouts furrowing his brow watching Katsumi stand.
"Come on the chicken's getting cold I assume you want some." Katsumi gathers.
"How did you know?" Hawks questions curious.
"The proportions gave it away Hawks." Softly, she smiles at Hawks, a low chuckle escaping her lips bringing a small smile to Hawk's own lips as the two settle down. Hawks goes to get the plates as she heats up the food, ready to have dinner together.
