Focused, Katsumi looks over at her gear, everything seemed to be in order for today, she takes out her phone as she sits on the side of her bed where on the other side of the bed, flimsy feathers of ruby red lay scattered all over the place. The soft sound of snoring echoes erupting from the sleeping source that was Hawks, his arms coiled around the plump pillow, his cheek nuzzles into, a shy stream of salvia oozing out of his lips as he has his back to Katsumi, his wings laying played around the bed with feathers flying in the sky. Katsumi sighs looking over at the bedridden blonde, shaking her head, amused almost at the sight, a small soft smirk upon her lips, feeling a strange sensation of warmth waft in her chest when seeing him sleeping so soundly so at peace. She didn't think she could slip away as she did to think just a few moments ago, that pillow was her arm.

"….What's with the gear?" Groggily, a small yawn echoes in the room as Katsumi feels a pair of arms wrap around her, feeling his face nuzzles into the back of her waterproof coat.

"Going out climbing." Casually, Katsumi remarks noting the head plopping on top of her thigh. She places her hand on his blonde locks, combing her fingertips through his hair tugging at a few stray strands as he leans into the touch, his grip around her waist tightening as he nuzzles into her side.

"You climb?" Confused, Hawks furrows his brow when noting the rope peering out of the bag.

"Eh it's something of a family hobby." Huffing, Katsumi takes out her phone from her bag looking over at her time seeing her brother's warning text to get her ass up, bringing a small smirk to her lips.

"Family hobby?" Hawks furrows his brow befuddled by the news.

"Me and my folks would go climbing from time to time maybe camp eh depends on if they had work or if we had school tomorrow, a family tradition you could say." Sighing, Katsumi answers as she furrows her brow by the thought by the mirky memory of her childhood climbing up the tall mountains, getting away from the city just enjoying the breeze, the stars, the open air. Katsumi didn't know what it was but she remembered making it a habit to climb up when she would climb up to clear her head. It had helped her a great deal.

"Sounds like a lot of work without wings." Smirking, Hawks remarks, his feathers fluttering as Katsumi couldn't help the small smirk when noting Hawk's feathers from his back spread out boasting almost.

"Maybe but it helps." Katsumi shrugs stating the fact firmly.

"Helps?" Hawks arches a brow befuddled.

"Let out some excess energy besides it'll help Katsuki, clear his mind from well you know…" Katsumi stretches her legs, hearing the brief crisp click of bones.

"The sludge villain." Hawks furrows his brow at the memory.

"…Yeah." Katsumi grimaces at the memory only then to perk up at the faint movement behind her, feeling a pair of arms draped over her neck, holding her from behind.

"Kat we've been over this you did all you could…" Tenderly, Hawks leans down, placing his head into the crook of her neck, nuzzling, nestling into the side of her neck, hugging her from behind.

"I know that I just…I should at the least give him his present." Sighing, Katsumi looks down at her rucksack a familiar wrapped up box peering out of her bag.

"When will you be back?" Hawks asks as she stands up making him reluctantly remove his arms from her, huffing, plopping back down on the bed behind him, spreading his limbs out.

"Don't know I'll probably be late." Katsumi shrugs stating he fact firmly.

"…Right." Hawks huffs, furrowing his brow.

"Don't wait up …Maybe you should stay at your place for a few days." Katsumi tells him as she heads out of the bedroom, bags in hand.

"And who would look after your place?" Puzzled, Hawks furrows his brow following after her almost like a lost puppy making Katsumi smile softly at the thought.

"Who would look after yours?" Katsumi coolly counters.

"…" Silently, Hawks furrows his brow staring at Katsumi's back heading towards the door, texting someone.

"Look I'll see you when I see you. I better get going." Aloofly, Katsumi brushes Hawks off who plops himself down on the sofa.

"Right…have fun." Frowning, Hawks stretches his limbs out over the sofa.

"I'll try you have fun with your shoot stuff…by the way you got a suit yet?" Katsumi asks as she looks over at her phone's clock.

"Suit? The commission will probably get me one." Lazily, Hawks dismisses making Katsumi sigh.

"…Right. Seems we're going suit shopping." Annoyed, Katsumi grumbles under her breath. She didn't want the commission breathing down her neck for not getting their prize pet his suit.

"Fine by me." Hawks shrugs as Katsumi scowls, wasn't he supposed to be her keeper? Seems the other way around.

"I'll see you then. Make sure you eat some veg got it?" Sternly, Katsumi tells Hawks.

"You're not my mother. You know?" Hawks sighs slumping his shoulders at her.

"I wouldn't be scolding you if I didn't know you." Katsumi sighs leaning over the top of the sofa, softly prodding, poking at his temple.

"Meeeaaan." Whining, he cranes his neck back.

"You're a child." Katsumi sighs dismissing Hawks.

"Just admit it you care about me." Tauntingly, Hawks snickers smugly smirking saying it in a sing song tone.

"I care about my carpet I rather not come back to a dead bird carcass on my floor, do you know how hard it is to get blood out?" Annoyed, Katsumi places her hand on her hip.

"Meeaan." Once again, Hawks leans back, plopping against the sofa once more.

"Just don't do anything I wouldn't do." Sighing, Katsumi tells him concern clear upon her facial features.

"So don't have fun?" Jokingly, Hawks argues.

"Oh shush." Smirking, Katsumi leans down towards the blonde draped over her sofa, placing her hand over his head ruffling his blonde roots. Happily, Hawks leans into the touch as Katsumi held back a small snicker unable to not compare it to a cat leaning into the touch from the bright broad smile upon his lips to his pleased closed eyes as he extended his neck out to enjoy her tender. She shakes her head at the animated blonde below her before adjusting the strap of her rucksack as she soon leaves him, heading out.

"Isn't this nice Katsuki? The gentle breeze of fresh air, the still silence…" Pleased, Katsumi smiles softly, blissfully enjoying the cold crisp breeze brushing through her brown locks as the two stand atop of the mountain, having made it to the top where Katsumi stares out at the horizon before her while her brother…

"The chance to look down at the insects below…" Maliciously, Katsuki smirks smugly sadistically staring down at the supposed ants below slowly but surely making their way to the top. Katsumi sweat drops at her baby brother's broad beady grin, gleefully glaring down at the people below, ha flint gleaming in his raw reds.

"…How about we have lunch?" Katsumi offers, calmly clasping he hands together, smiling strained at her brother's response, not the slightest fazed by it.

"Fine whatever." Huffing, Katsuki grumbles sitting down on the edge for the two to sit down where Katsumi removes her backpack passing Katsuki a sandwich which the two take enjoying their meal looking out at the shining sun ahead.

"Oh right here." Katsumi smiles softly as she takes out a familiar box, a sleek silver box befuddling Katsuki.

"What is it?" Katsuki's raw reds narrow at the box before him.

"A good luck charm for the exams. Besides it's going to get colder for your exams you'll need all the sweat you can get." Katsumi reminds her baby brother opening the box to reveal…

"…" Silently, Katsuki stares, his scarlet shimmering, shining, staring down at the snowy scarf nestled into the plump pillow of packaging.

"You like it? You could use it as a good luck charm." Hopeful, Katsumi quirks her head to the side smiling softly at him.

"Luck?" Katsuki's ruby reds narrow glaring at her.

"For your exam." Smiling, Katsumi answers.

"You think I'll need it? Please…" Scoffing, Katsumi sneers shaking his head at her.

"Not really but never hurts to have a little bit of trust on your side right?" Softly, she smiles at her brother simply staring down at the scarf squeezing it between his fingertips.

"…Right." Softly, Katsuki whispers slowly draping it over his neck nuzzling into it, his features faltering softening slightly at the warmth.

"Happy birthday Katsuki…" Katsumi tells her brother leaning into the crook of her neck.

"…Thanks." Meekly, Katsuki whispers shyly.

" Look Katsuki I know you're nervous about heading back to school." Sighing, Katsumi leans forward looking out at the view before her.

"Who the hell said I was nervous?" Annoyed, Katsuki snaps sharply scowling, his raw reds glaring glowering daggers at her back.

"…You don't always need to be strong you know?" Tentatively, Katsumi smiles softly at her brother.

"…Bullshit." Katsuki tuts turning to glare glower to the side scowling.

"I mean it. I thought the same but during your time alive you'll meet people, kind people, precious people, people you want to keep safe, that you want to protect. Those sorts of people…you can let your guard down and they won't think ill of you, they won't like you for your quirk, they'll like you for you. I know it hurts right now and this last year of middle school won't be easy nor will U.A be any easier if you still wish to pursue it but just know I'll be every step of the way for you." Katsumi explains to her little brother bowing her head, her ruby reds softening slightly closing her eyes, brow furrowing when her mind wanders briefly thinking of a certain lilac haired boy with bright blue eyes grinning at her, acne littered all over his younger features, the two smiling standing outside the middle school holding diploma's while another flickers to the two older looking pair wandering through the hallway of U.A, Kane messily adjusting his ruby red tie, turning towards the green eyed girl tending to the book before her studying to her hearts content.

"…You promise?" Katsuki's voice echoes snapping her out of her thoughts as she turns, her ruby reds gazing into his shimmering scarlet, her heart aching breaking when seeing the tears threatening to fall from her baby brother…

"I promise. Now look you may not meet them right away and you may have your ups and downs but its through these trials your bond becomes stronger. It just takes time. I know people may see you for your quirk but I promise there are people out there who won't….people you can let your guard down with." Sighing, Katsumi elaborates for her baby brother, her brow furrowing when thinking back to a certain blonde, feeling a strange sensation in her chest at the thought of him…

"…Thanks…" Shyly, Katsuki whispers, bowing his head delving his head into the soft scarf below.

"Hey you're my little brother course I'm going to look out for you." Katsumi tells her brother.

"I ain't little." Katsuki grumbles glairing lightly at her.

"Nah you're a big boy now, hey make sure to keep in contact with me yeah? If you need to talk I'm a few digits away got it?" Sternly, she reminds her baby brother.

"Yeah, yeah…hey Kat." Katsuki furrows his brow.

"What is it?" Katsumi arches a brow at him.

"What you said before…I still want to go to UA like I said." Katsuki huffs under his breath.

"I know…" Katsumi smiles endearingly at her brother.

"But I want to get through it through my own merit not ride on your damn coat tails I'll become number one no matter what." Resolute, Katsuki states the fact firmly.

"I know you will. Just be sure to pop in from time to time if you need some help there's no shame in asking." Katsumi says to him.

"Tch as if I need help from you." Katsuki sneers.

"We'll see. Happy birthday Katsuki." Gently, Katsuki smiles softly at her baby brother bringing him into her arms, into a side hug as the two simply stare out at the shining sun together. No words needing to be shed, simply enjoying one another's company, enjoying the small victory of climbing to the top.
