"Get down!" Loudly, Haneul calls out as they all dive out of the way from the woman before them, her long locks of bright blue similar to tenacles almost with a mucus messily coated over them dangles down. In the jelly like woman's bob of hair floats bags of money, pretty gems encased in a bright blue jello with shy sparks flickering from one bright beaming of a gem to another red ruby while another holds a bag. The woman wears a purple catsuit as she tries to flee from the trio chasing after her, sparks spew out of her hair striking at the trio or at the least one of them. Haneul narrowly avoids said strike seeing the singe marks marred upon the road where she once stood now nothing more than cracked crumbles of a crater created right before her.
"Right so Soundspark any ideas?" Befuddled, Bombarda asks as she slouches slightly turning to Kane, the three have backed down on the road, standing before the jellyfish girl, flailing her hair around the area into a wild wind of sorts, slapping any of the police armed at her to the side scowling. The police cry out as they are thrown from one side to another, a fair few being thrown into winds from the sharp smash of glass breaking, the shards shattering, scattered all over the road as the other policemen the ones with brains Bombarda concludes try to evacuate the people, trying to get them away far from the women before them, that they were sadly dealing with.
"Now no one can beat me Jellatina!" Joyfully, the woman beams brightly using the back of her hand to brush aside a stray strand of her tentacle like hair to the side smirking smugly, proudly proclaiming said fact as her heels click against the ground below. Surprised, the trio gasp when suddenly a piece of debris is thrown their way by the women. Bombarda glares, glowering as she stretches her arm out swiftly shattering said debris with one simple explosion, shards come crashing down to the ground below.
"Hey last I checked Firefly was the brain of the operation." Annoyed, Kane hollers annoyed giving a dirty look to Haneul holding her staff as sparks strike at the two only for Haneul to intervene, intercepting said strike, conducting it.
"She isn't the one watching weird documentaries on sea horses." Haneul remarks, frustration flowing through her as she twirls her staff about, small streams of steam spewing out of her staff.
"Oh so just because I watched a documentary on sea life I would know about jelly fish!?" Fuming, Kane snaps scowling at the two.
"YES!" Together, both Bombarda and Firefly snap sharply at him.
"I don't remember everything you know!" Scowling, Kane raises his hands up exasperated, in mock surrender.
The trio then take cover, the three of them hiding behind the alleyway where the group stand flat on the wall behind them, glued to the wall where they peer over the corner seeing the cackling woman beam brightly at her supposed win as she continues causing havoc making the trio curse at the damage caused.
"Come on think of something Sound!" Sharply, Haneul begs beseeching Soundspark.
"Um…" Unsure, Kane's baby blues dart from side to side anxiously, feeling his body tremble, quiver, quake, his leg moving up and down almost as if he were high off on caffeine from the sheer intensity of his foot's fidgeting, moving up and down.
"Firefly have you got anything?" Sighing, Bombarda turns towards Haneul hopeful for something to help them deal with the problem at hand.
"Why would I?" Fuming, Firefly shrugs her shoulders scowling.
"You raised a frog?" Frowning, Kane questions confused, lost even as he looks from side to side perplexed.
"I didn't have much of a choice okay!? Frogs are just as valid pets as dogs and cats. A frog and jellyfish are very different creatures Bombarda!" Furious, Firefly argues angrily, anxious at the sudden spotlight shining shimmering down upon her.
"Never said they weren't." Panicked, Soundspark scowls equally as scared as her making Bombarda groan, facepalming at her sidekicks oblivious to the shy tentacle slowly making its way over to the two.
"Both of you shut-SHIT!" Seething, Bombarda begins anger laced in her tone only to curse when suddenly she is grabbed and tugged back from the two finding tentacles coiled around her form. She dangles down, glaring daggers at the woman with blue skin shimmering shining from the sun above as she looks over at her perky purple nails.
"Boss!" Concerned, Kane and Haneul call out to her.
"To have the great Bombarda as my hostage what an amusing thought." Tauntingly, Jellatina giggles giddily at the prospect.
"Die!" Katsumi seethes snarling grinding her teeth tighter, fuming feeling her eye twitch at the woman before her.
"That's not very hero like now is it." Teasingly, she smirks smugly at Katsumi.
"Fucking b-" Bombarda begins about to let some small explosion from her palm but…
"I wouldn't try if I were you." Tightly, the tentacles coiled around Bombarda only tighten making her wince.
"And why the fuck not?" Crudely, Bombarda sharply snaps at her, glaring deranged daggers at her.
"My mucus will only muffle those explosions of yours." Smugly, she informs Bombarda her hues twitching.
"And you expect me to take your word for that?" Bombarda scowls as she tries to let loose a small explosion only to scowl when seeing said explosion become nothing but muffled noises almost as she scowls seeing her sweat drops be slathered in a heavy coat of mucus making her grimace.
"If you wish to continue living." Tauntingly, Jellatina exclaims, her hues narrowing.
"…Fuck you." Bombarda spits out salvia slithering down her cheek making her hues twitch disgust drenching her fuming facial features. She shakes looking ready to end her right here right now when suddenly…
"Sorry to cut in." Smoothly, a familiar voice hollers as a sharp scream erupts into the open air as a familiar slick sword of ruby red slashes against the tentacles, giving the villain a haircut of sort as her tentacle dreads descend down to the floor below.
"Shit!" Bombarda curses as the confines keeping her at bay loosen she falls about to catch herself only to feel a pair of arms catch her making her look up, her ruby reds meeting a familiar pair of glistening gold.
"Is that what you say to your saviour?" Smoothly, Hawks teases as Bombarda simply scowls glaring at her supposed knight in shining armour.
"Focus on the job Hawks!" Sternly, Bombarda berates her hero noting the sparks spewing out from the enraged woman below.
"Rel-" Smirking, Hawks begins only then to furrow his brow dropping Bombarda as a suddenly sludge is thrown his way sticking him and his feathers, making him fall flat to the ground unable to recover while Bombarda manged to.
"Hawks!" Katsumi cries out concern clear in her tone watching the blonde be thrown to the wall, sludge smeared descending down his cluttered flimsy feathers all glued together making him curse as Katsumi's ruby red twitch, hearing the sharp snap of something within her. Suddenly, she cranes her neck to the side, smirking sadistically, a heavy wave of bloodlust radiating off her, something seemingly snapping within her.
"Tch bastard, getting in my w-ARGH!" Astonished, Jellatina blurts out shocked screaming, screeching when suddenly her dreadlock like tentacles are grabbed, snatched, bundled as her scared purples gaze into a pair of bloodthirsty bloodred as next thing she knew she was screaming, anguish etched into her pain features. She was thrown into the police van, hitting the harsh wall, sliding down, heavy music extracted from her back seemingly softens the blow. Lowly, the woman groans, grimacing, she blinks a few times trying to adjust her blurry vision but before she could even think, her purples with the whites of her eyes being icy blue meeting a pair of rageful red. Scared, the woman whimpers her baby blue skin shaking, quivering, quaking feeling tremors course through her body by the sheer intensity of bloodlust emitting, redating, resonating from her before the doors slam shut, no longer meeting the light of day…
Quietly, Katsumi makes her way back to her home, having hoped to use the shower. She also had paperwork to finish up while Kane and Haneul were dealing with the police. Hawks had gone off courtesy of his sidekicks to get cleaned up from it all however as Katsumi makes her way back to the agency. She stops, perking up at the soft sound of sniffling. She turns towards the sniffing figure gritting his teeth tighter, keeping his head bowed down, waiting outside her home, glaring down at the ground below. Katsumi turns to the pointed direction where her ruby reds dilate dread flowing through her at the sheer sight of the ashen blonde by her home entrance.
"…Katsuki?" Silently, she stares at the boy before her home, her brow furrowing at the blonde before her, still unable to comprehend it all. Why was he here? Why now? Why when she was like…Katsumi grimaces at the slick sludge sprayed all over her form, hating every single second of it. All she wanted was a shower, was to get this sludge off her she had no idea she would find this boy before the gates of her apartment. She didn't know how to feel, so many feelings flow through the veins of the girl, feeling an array of emotions washing over her, from anger to sorrow to panic perturbed at the sheer sight of her solemn brother. What happened? Who did this to him? Who hurt him?
Katsumi feels her blood boil, bubble burn at the sheer sight of her solemn brother, the bombastic brother of hers now nothing more than a simple sizzle, a shadow of the bombastic bomb he once was. Who did this? Whoever did…Katsumi seethes, slamming her teeth together, grinding her teeth together, feeling the urge to lunge at him, hold him, bring him into her arms, holding him, hugging him, trying to calm him down, trying to get a name out of him, trying to get any glimpse of what she can find to beat the nobodies black and blue.
Shakily, she sighs closing her eyes stopping herself brow furrowing. No, no, no she had to stop she had to think clearly if she was going to do this. She had to compose herself when she goes about this. She had to, she needed to, her brother needed her now more than ever, for him to come to her was…was…concerning to say the least.
"Katsuki?" Frowning, Katsumi steps forward towards the blonde before her, her ruby reds softening sadly when noting the boy stubbornly swipe his nose with the back of his shaking, quivering, quaking fist shuddering like a leaf almost as if it was recently plucked from the tall, towering tree, freely falling, shaking, quivering, quaking from the cool crisp breeze of the wind.
"…" Silently, Katsuki's scarily scowl down at the ground below, refusing to even look her in the eye looking ashamed almost much to Katsumi's confusion, furrowing her brow befuddled by his stoic silence.
"What happened? Who did this to you? Give me a name I'll kick their ass!" Angrily, Katsumi demands from her little brother, her anger that she had tried to push her down only erupt within her like a geyser. She places her hands on her brother's shoulders shaking them, her tone stern, strict, severe demanding to know what happened, feeling a tint of protectiveness flow through her to see her baby brother acting like this.
"I'm fine fuck sake…I ain't no fucking…" Fuming, Katsuki seethes scowling, furrowing his brow sniffling as he grits his teeth together, grinding them, seething, snarling, fury flowing through him.
"If you're fine why are you here? What happened?" Sternly, Katsumi demands from her brother brow furrowed, needing answers and now only to be met by still silence.
"Katsuki!" Katsuki snaps scowling calling out to him as he strides towards the door, the camera outside the tall tower of the pent house glued to Katsuki scowling up, directly glaring at the camera just as Katsumi enters the screen causing the camera to flash green.
The doors make way for the two, Katsuki leading the way to Katsumi's place ignoring the doors slamming shut behind them as they enter the main hallway where the receptionist calmly greets Bombarda but falters, diving down at the sheer sight of the younger one of the two, remembering a fair few scorch marks marred into the fine white walls of the room courtesy of the bombastic boy now solemnly slumping his way towards the golden gleaming elevator. Its doors slammed shut as Katsuki slams his finger into the top umber of the top floor.
"Bombarda hey!" One of the neighbours call out as Katsuki swiftly stomps his foot up and down impatiently gritting his teeth together tensely scowling.
"Morning." Briskly, Bombarda brushes them off.
"Don't suppose we could have a…" Hopeful, one of the neighbours asks just as the ding of the elevator dings.
"Not right now please. I'm a bit bus…Katsuki hey!" Bombarda tries to be polite to the neighbours before sharply snapping scowling at her baby brother, making his way inside the elevator where some people are inside, their eyes widening when seeing her making her groan as a fair few ask Bombarda but said girl brushes them off.
"Look I'm busy alright you have a personal life so do I." Impatiently, she cuts her neighbours off as they leave the elevator slowly stumbling out leaving the two alone in the elevator just as the door slams shut leaving the two Bakugo's alone as the elevator heads up.
"Does ma know you're here?" Scowling, Katsumi demands from her brother mad, crossing her arms over her chest cross glaring giving her brother the side glare.
"…" Silently, Katsuki simply stares ahead.
"Does dad?" Fed up, she demands from her brother just as the door slowly stops.
"Password please!" The robot demands making Katsumi sigh at the passcode requires swiftly shoving said answer in as the elevator ride continues up.
"The fuck you think?" Katsuki hisses harshly finally breaking the still silence.
"Katsuki! You can't just...!" Fuming, Katsumi begins but is cut off as the elevator doors open, revealing her apartment as Katsumi strides in, plopping himself down on the sofa below before the TV.
"Why the fuck do you stink?" Scowling, Katsuki questions Katsumi making her grimace.
"Villain." Aloofly, she huffs bitterly brow furrowed.
"Then get fucking cleaned up." Crudely, Katsuki snaps at her.
"Not until you tell me what's going on." Sternly, she demands from her brother.
"…" Stubbornly, said boy refuses reaching out to the remote and turning on the TV making Katsumi's ruby red twitch.
"Tell you what I'll leave you here to compose yourself, to word it out or whatever you want and when I come back I want to know everything. How about that? Heck we can watch a movie, get takeout whatever you want." Fed up, Katsumi sighs raising her hand up exasperated, too tired to argue, knowing well that pushing him will do her no favours.
"…Since you're being so desperate I got no choice now get the fuck out my face old hag!" Hollering, Katsuki snaps scowling at her.
"Yeah, yeah you know where the tv and stuff are." Annoyed, she grumbles glaring to the side scowling as she enters the kitchen, removing her prosthetic, tossing it over to her brother, swiftly catching said limb.
"You need any help?" Katsuki asks an air of concern clear in his tired tone.
"I'm a big girl Katsu I know what I'm doing." Amused, Katsumi hollers from the kitchen, kneeling down after opening the fridge door, curious over what to make for the two oblivious to the shy stream of smoke swiftly emitting from the bottom of the bathroom door. Katsuki scowls, clicking his tongue before tossing her prosthetic to the side, focusing on the screen at hand. He leans back against the plump pillows of the sofa ready to relax, ready to take a breath when something…something eels off. Confused, Katsuki furrows his brow at the thought as he reaches down towards the cracks of the sofa, where his hues widen when he takes out from the cracks, a familiar flimsy ruby red feather in his hand…
The fuck? Katsuki didn't know how to feel, he already felt an arrange of emotions as it was today thanks to that fucking quirkless bastard…thanks to that nobody, that insignificant speck of dust…Katsuki seethes shaking, scowling at the memory of him…no he couldn't…no he refused to believe it! Him…of all people!? No! No! No! It didn't make sense, it was a trick it was…it didn't happen, it couldn't happen, it wasn't possible to happen. Katsuki knew that lowly grunt, that hero wannabe, that all might fanboy he was nothing, he was worthless, he was quirkless! Quirkless! He couldn't lose to him, he shouldn't have even passed the exam let alone survive! He…the exam maybe sure but…
All Katsuki knew was that he had to get out of there, he had to…he didn't know why he came here, why he found himself coming here. Maybe he just didn't want to bump into that nobody let alone having those two welcome him home asking him he just…
Katsuki stares down at his shaking, quivering, quaking hands, seeing his fist turn chalk white, feeling his crescents dig deep into his inner palms, feeling the sharp sting of his crescents, pinching his palm almost as if he had cut through the skin, sensing small, teeny tiny explosions emitting from his fidgeting fingertips, trying to deal with the adrenaline coursing through him, trying to deal with his hammering heart, his chiselled cage of his ribcage tightening up alongside his throat. All he knew was…that he had to see her, that he…she could…she could fix him, she could deal with this. She had before in the mall, whenever they went out she seemed to know what to do. He hated this, he hated this so much, he hated having to rely on her but this…
It just wouldn't go away and he needed it to he needed to…understand what was going on with him, with…Deku with his bullshit excuse of a quirk. He was quirkless that was a firm fact, he was the first boy that Katsuki learned what quirkless meant for him to suddenly gain a quirk it didn't make sense, it didn't not at all…Katsumi would know, she lives in a world of quirks. Sure so did he but she was seeing quirks left and right all in different shapes and sizes whether it be from the low life villains that had no brain to have the nerve to fight her or her sidekicks…she knew the world of quirks so maybe she could know what was going on at the leas…what the?
Confused, Katsuki furrows his brow, his ruby reds narrow noting the faint feathers shyly shoved into the cracks of the plump pillows of the sofa. Katsumi leans down, picking, pinching the frail feather, his ruby reds narrowing at the lone feather, where the hell did that come from? Katsuki then notes the numerous other feathers floating in the air while others are scattered about the place perplexing Katsuki, why had Katsumi let these feathers go? If his mother were here she'd be yelling at her to get her ass in gear. Katsuki slowly stands noting the numerous feathers scattered about the floor, noting the thin trail. Katsuki follows said pathway into her bedroom? Befuddled, Katsuki scowls slowly making his way inside noting the wardrobe open, seeing much to his surprise some clothes he did not recognise, looking more masculine, these weren't…these didn't look like her clothes. He notes on one side of the bedside of his sister's bed, a ruby red cup, an endeavour cup? Confused, Katsumi's brow furrows at the sight, Katsumi wasn't big on heroes, she never really had a favourite so why would she have an endeavour cup? She was pretty much neutral on most heroes…
"Now that really hit the spot!" Surprised, Katsuki jolts up at the eerily familiar voice feeling his body tense up. He feels his body move as he swings himself finding his hand clenched around the doorway staring stunned at the figure in his sister's bathroom, steam spewing out of the flighty figure a towel draped over his shoulders and wrapped around his waist, practically nude in his sister's apartment, in his sister's place…
Katsuki feels his blood boil, bubble, burn, feeling his fingertips clench around the doorway, cracks seep out of said doorway alongside some chunks of wood descend down said debris catch the attention of a certain golden eyed Hawks. Hawks turns towards the boy before him as Katsuki takes note of his casual clothes, draped over the table he had taken note of prior, flimsy feathers that were once limp pass the clothes over to him, making Katsuki's blood boil, bubble, burn at the sight seeing Hawks tousles his blonde roots, yawning absentmindedly to himself. Happily humming to himself as if this was second nature to the bird until his glint gold meet a pair of stunned scarlet.
Stunned, Katsuki stares at Hawks.
Silently, Hawks stares at Katsuki.
"The hell are you doing here?!" Enraged, Katsuki snarls seething baring his feral fangs at Hawks who simply stares at the boy before him, humming to himself.
"Hello to you too bomb boy." Casually, chirpily even Hawks smiles softly at Katsuki only further frustrating Katsuki.
"Didn't you get the picture last time freak!? Just DIE ALREADY!" Angrily, Katsuki snarls screaming, reeling his wrist back about to strike at Hawks who simply sighs.
"Good to see you too kiddo." Unfazed, Hawks swiftly snatches Katsuki's wrist his ruby reds widening when his strike is so easily caught as he stares stunned at the sleek move.
"I ain't a kid." Scowling, Katsuki swiftly swipes his hand free from Hawks cradling his hand in his other flexing his fingertips and rolling his wrist grimacing at such an iron grip that internally, Katsuki knew if it weren't for Hawks he wouldn't have been able to free himself so easily from such a hold.
"I'm sure." Smirking, Hawks brushes the boy off focusing on the food at the table.
"Leave!" Scowling, Katsuki snaps sharply, slamming his foot down on the ground glaring at him, yelling at him.
"And why should I leave?" Calmly, Hawks crosses his arms over his chest coyly, amused almost at the order.
"Because you don't fucking belong here! You never have now get-" Seething, Katsuki begins but…
"Right you ready to start talking or…?" Casually, Katsumi's voice comes out from the kitchen, her hues widening when seeing Hawks barely dressed, water descending down his hair hitting his chest before descending down to the floor below.
"Hey Kat." Casually, Hawks salutes said girl.
"THE FUCK YOU STARING AT PERV!" Enraged, Katsuki yells, a strong sense of protectiveness washing over him despite Hawks being the one bare before the world. He glares at the smug smirk of the hungry Hawks happily smiling at the brunette behind Bakugo.
"Ah Hawks…did we agree to meet up tonight?" Unfazed by her brother's declaration she asks him oblivious to his stunned expression at how casual she is talking to him with him wearing nothing but a towel about to head to her bedroom to change.
"Yeah I see you're busy." Hawks remarks.
"Yep." Casually, Katsumi says as she takes out a greasy bag on the table, taking out some spare smaller bags from the bag.
"Katsuki…" Katsumi sighs as she turns towards her brother.
"What the fuck is he doing here!?" Enraged, Katsuki demands from her.
"Should I…?" Awkwardly, Hawks eyes dart between both Bakugou's.
"It's fine." Casually, Katsumi waves Hawks off.
"Cool." Cheerily, Hawks salutes smirking making his way into the bathroom brushing past the scowling seething Katsuki, glaring up at the boy leaving the doorway.
"In the bedroom!? He ain't staying!" Scowling, Katsuki snaps.
"It's fine Hawks." Flimsy, Katsumi shrugs as he enters his bedroom, beginning to change into the clothes offered.
"For you two!" Angrily, Katsuki snaps sharply.
"Now, now no need to be jealous bomber boy." Hawks offers.
"SHUT UP THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU BASTARD AS IF I'D BE JEALOUS OF THAT FEATHER FUCKER!" Angrily, Katsuki yells at him.
"Katsuki…you're not staying you have school tomorrow nor to mention ma will be worried about ya!" Annoyed, Katsumi yells.
"…" Scowling, Katsuki's ruby reds glare up at her sister's sharp scowl.
"Sorry forgot my deodorant." Lazily, Hawks swaggers out of the bed sauntering out of the room, further frustrating Katsuki when seeing said male still bare before the woman smirking smugly at the enraged Katsuki.
"Katsuki look if you could just talk to…Katsuki!" Fed up, Katsuki begins but soon snaps when Katsuki stands up from his seat storming off into the spare room, swiftly slamming the door shut up making Katsumi sigh slumping on her sofa exhaustion etched into her fatigued form.
"Well…that went well." Casually, Hawks remarks leaning over the top of the sofa, draping his arms over Katsumi's form, wrapping his arms around her, bowing bringing her into a hug, nuzzling his stubble into her side as she leans into the nestle, needing some sort of comfort, some sense of solace before handling the boy that was her brother.
"Katsuki…you in?" Katsumi asks as she shyly knocks on the door to the spare room, brow furrowed fretfully staring at the door before her.
"The fuck you think?" Loudly, Bakugo bellows making her sigh.
"Look I know you're probably confused but…" Katsumi begins brow furrowed as she slowly opens the door turning to see her baby brother's slouched form upon the edge of the bed, his brow furrowed staring at the stray strands of feeble feathers littered around the room making his blood bubble, boil, burn at the sheer sight of them.
"What are you two?" Tiredly, Katsuki demands from her fury flowing through him, he had seen the pictures, he had seen the comments, the magazines, the posts about them, his so called friends asking him about her and Hawks. He hated it, Katsumi…Katsumi wouldn't lie to him she wouldn't hide something like this not from him, not from her family, she wouldn't…so why? What was all this!?
"Huh?" Katsumi blinks baffled by the demand.
"Look at this place, his mug is here." Disgusted, Katsuki lists fury flowing through his veins.
"How do you know that's his?" Haughtily, Katsumi tries to defend herself however…
"An Endeavour cup, I know you, you're not into any hero merch!" Mad, Katsuki snaps scowling at her.
"Urgh…it could have been a freebie or something." Aloofly, Katsumi tries to shrug it off but…
"Then explain why the hell his feathers are all over the place?" Perturbed, he stomps on one of his many feathers furrowing his brow at her.
"He molts he's a bird it's not his fucking fault." Firmly, Katsumi snaps scowling at him.
"Just as I'm sure the fucker visiting isn't his fault." Frowning, Katsuki sneers.
"You're visiting." Annoyed, Katsumi disputes.
"I'm your brother I'm family he's just a stranger!" Scowling, Katsuki seethes scowling insulted almost at the comparison.
"Hey he's my friend." Fuming, she reminds him.
"How can you call someone who's name you don't even know a friend?" Furious, Katsuki demands from her.
"…If you must know I do know his name." Katsumi sighs.
"Then why don't you use it?" Incensed, Katsuki scoffs.
"Because he prefers Hawks." Huffing, Katsumi states to her brother.
"A shitty excuse tell me this then what is it? Give me the name." Smirking, Katsuki leans in his ruby reds glaring into her own.
"I don't have to tell you everything brother, Hawks' name has nothing to do with you." Resolute, Katsumi states the fact firmly.
"Then explain this." Katsuki gestures to the wardrobe.
"My clothes?" Confused, Katsumi furrows her brow befuddled.
"His clothes in your wardrobe in your draws!" Seething, Katsumi snaps scowling gesturing to it.
"…Katsuki." Katsumi sighs pinching the bridge of her nose exhaustion etched in her tired tone.
"Are you guys fucking or not!?" Impatiently, Katsuki demands form her sister simply staring, stunned horrified even at him.
"Whoa! Where the hell did that come from!? What does that have to do with you!?" Enraged, Katsumi snaps sharply scowling seething, yelling at her brother, fuming insulted almost.
"I don't want you to be wasting your time on that fake." Frowning, Katsuki crosses his arms over his chest cross.
"Hawks is not a fake Katsuki and who the hell said you could say who I can or can't date!?" Scowling, Katsumi demands from her brother fury flowing through her veins.
"I say so." Snippily, he huffs just as her ruby reds twitch.
"And I say fuck off! The hell are you even doing here Katsuki?" Fed up, she furrows her brow at her brother.
"What about you? What are you two!?" Katsuki questions Katsumi flinching from his words grimacing, glancing to the side.
"Don't change the topic now talk why you're here now!" Sternly, she orders him.
"…I fucking lost happy!?" Pained, Katsuki snaps tears spurting out of his shaking scarlet stunning her.
"Huh?" Katsumi takes a shaky step back befuddled.
"I lost. TO that fucking quirkless freak!" Frustrated, Katsuki screams at his sister, his voice cracking breaking before falling flat on the bed behind him.
"…What are you on about?" Softly, she whispers, her own scarlet shaking.
"Fucking Deku, he beat me ME!? Of all people he…he…" Upset, Katsuki curses slamming his hand over his mouth tyring to muffle his whimpers, trying to blink back the tears threatening to freely fall.
"Katsuki calm down remember what I said breath in and out, count okay? Come on, follow me 1, 2, 3, 4…" Tenderly, Katsumi whispers, brow furrowing, kneeling down, placing her hands on his shoulders making him look up at her, his quivering quaking ruby reds meeting a similar shade to his own.
"…" Shakily, he nods, shakily swallowing before complying, following her breathing, his ruby reds never leaving her as after a fair few minutes…
"Better?" Softly, she asks her baby brother, feeling his tense trembling body cease, soften slightly.
"How could I fucking lose Katsumi!? I have your quirk I have…?" Lost, Katsumi questions her sister desperation drenched in his tone breaking her heart.
"Just because you have my quirk doesn't mean you're the best Katsuki, I mean I'm not perfect I'm not the fastest hero someone like Hawks could easily out speed me or someone like Endeavour could blast me away with his flames especially with my sweat. We all have these weaknesses but it's through this experience of loss that we can learn, that we can better ourselves that we can be the heroes we were meant to be." Honestly, Katsumi explains to her little brother.
"…Tell me something can quirks be given to someone?" Shakily, Katsuki asks her sister.
"You mean inherited?" Unsure, Katsumi offers.
"No I mean can you suddenly just get a quirk." Stubbornly, he wipes away the tears using the back of his hand.
"…Not that I know of." Confused, Katsumi says.
"…How? How did Deku get a quirk of all people…he was born quirkless wasn't he so how!? How could I lose to him?" Enraged, Katsuki demands his body shaking once more.
"I…I don't know Katsu but I know this through this experience you can learn, be better Midoriya may have won but it may have been only due to his analysis." Sighing, she wraps her arms around her body, feeling him bow his head, digging deep into her shoulder shakily sighing, tightening his grip around her.
"He did…he did mention my right-hand jab…" Meekly, Katsuki considers shyly furrowing his brow befuddled by the thought.
"You're fighting style is repetitive you may need to learn to shake things up." Katsumi shrugs her shoulders.
"Shake things up?" Katsuki furrows his brow by the idea.
"…If you ever need help I'd be happy to help you." Katsumi tells her brother.
"Katsumi…" Katsuki begins brow furrowed bowing his head opening his mouth to say something when…
"Knock knock!" The cheery chirpy voice calls out making the two turn to the male knocking on the door.
"Hawks what are you?" Confused, Katsumi turns to the blonde beaming in the doorway, a tray with two mugs on display.
"I made some hot chocolates thought you guys could use some." Smirking, Hawks winks.
"You could use a shower you smell like shit." Sneering, Katsuki crosses his arms over his chest.
"And that's something you should say to the guy kindly giving you hot chocolate." Dryly, Hawks remarks making his way inside.
"As if I'd accept such shit from you." Katsuki glares, glowering at the mug on display.
"Kat bath's ready." Hawks reveals to her.
"Ah thanks Hawks I guess I'll leave you to it don't kill each other got it?" Sternly, she stands up squeezing his shoulder.
"No promises." Playfully, he winks.
"Katsuki…" Severely, she turns to her baby brother but he simply clicks his tongue turning to glare, glowering to the side.
"You need helping getting in?" Hawks asks as she brushes past him, ignoring him while on the other hand Katsuki's ruby reds narrow.
"Shove off perv!" Poisonously, Katsuki screams at him.
"It was worth a try." Aloofly, Hawks shrugs his shoulders smirking softly.
"Midoriya getting a quirk…what was up with that? He must be too tired from his loss. Katsumi shakes her head at the thought brushing it aside, having more important things to focus on that being the task at hand, how could she help her brother when she herself wasn't in a clear state, she needed to clean up and once she did she would happily talk her brother to go back home, to reflect on this, to get better from this, that was what Katsumi would do.
Determined, Katsumi opens the bathroom door where she is greeted by the soft scents of candles, seeing the bubbles boisterously surface to the top making her smile softly when seeing such attention to detail. She slowly sinks in, feeling a wave of relief, warm and gratitude wash over her at Hawk's handiwork.
"What are you doing?" Dubiously, Katsumi furrows her brow at Hawks, the two now lingering out of the doorway, looking over at Katsuki brooding, crossing his arms over his chest cross, glaring, glowering at the floor below.
"I'm going to talk to him." Hawks answers as he places the tray to the side leaving it by Katsuki's bedside as he and Katsumi linger outside the doorway.
"What?" Katsumi furrows her brow at him
"The kid's clearly upset and you're clearly tired." Truthfully, Hawks points out unapologetic.
"But…" Katsumi begins brow furrowing.
It's fine." Flimsy, Hawks shrugs his shoulders.
"You do remember the last you spoke to him right? My family treated you like shit." Scowling, Katsumi crosses her arms over her chest not liking this one bit.
"Yeah well maybe this can be a fresh start you know?" Hawks offers optimistically.
"Hawks…" Worriedly, Katsumi's ruby reds soften sadly at him.
"It'll be fine just trust me." Hawks smiles softly at Katsumi.
"Hawks…I told you, you don't need to force yourself into things just to get my family's approval." Sighing, Katsumi reminds Hawks, his features faltering concern clear upon his facial features.
"That's not what I'm doing." Hawks assures her.
"Oh really?" Warily, Katsumi arches a brow not buying it for one second.
"I want to do this you've had a rough day." Hawks reminds her squeezing her shoulders.
"So have you." Katsumi argues bowing her head clear concern in her tone.
"I'll be fine just let me talk to him." Hawks reassures her.
"Fine. But if anything happens yell." Sighing, she slumps her shoulders at him.
"I know, I know…but look your bath's all ready bath bomb and all. I even threw in that muscle relaxant for your arms." Animatedly, Hawks smiles softly joyfully at the thought.
"Wait you did that?" Taken aback, Katsumi blinks befuddled.
"Yep. Thought you deserved it after that sticky situation heh…" Hawks winks mischievously at Katsumi's flat frown.
"…You were waiting to use that weren't you?" Disgusted, Katsumi sneers scowling.
"Yep." Happily, Hawks smiles.
"How long?" Katsumi sighs exasperation etched into her tired tone.
"All day." Honestly, Hawks confesses bringing a small smile to Katsumi's lips.
"You're such a dork." Softly, she smirks at him shaking her head amused as a faint ruby red hue crosses his cheeks at the shy smile she tries to hide with the back of her hand.
"But I'm your dork." Dubiously, Hawks leans in gently taking her hand far from her mouth wanting nothing more than to see that shy small smile more, a part of him feeling pride to bring out such a rare warm smile, joyous to be one of the select few to accomplish such a feat but also sad to see said smile swiftly diminish.
"Urgh just don't kill him." She rolls her eyes exasperated before brushing past him.
"Wouldn't be the best impression for your mother would it?" Hawks hollers jokingly watching her head towards the bathroom.
"Hawks." Warningly, Katsumi glares playfully at her.
"I'm just joking, kidding!" Hawks promises her.
"Alright just…don't push yourself if he says anything." Annoyed, Katsumi begins.
"I'm right here!" Huffing, Katsuki snaps his voice passing the slammed shut door.
"I can take care of myself Kat." Gently, Hawks reminds her.
"That still doesn't mean I don't worry dumbass." Scowling, she huffs ruffling his blonde roots.
"Just relax, enjoy yourself. You deserve it." Hawks reminds her.
"Urgh just get a fucking room already!" Annoyed, Katsuki snaps making Katsumi seethes ruby red clear upon her face burning her cheeks. Hawks smiles sheepishly, a heavy hue of ruby red on his face only to squeak slightly when seeing said woman kick down the door, making Hawks gulp, the blush burning his cheeks only darkening, gulping when feeling his throat tighten at the sheer sight of power proudly displayed before him.
"Katsuki! YOU WANNA SAY THAT TO MY FUCKING FACE!?" Fuming, Katsumi yells at her brother.
"You wanna fucking fight!?" Fuming, Katsuki stands seething slamming his fist into his palm, the tow glowering, glaring at one another as Hawks sweat drops at the two.
"A-Alright how about we all just take a sec to clam down. Come on Kat you have a bath remember the slime." Smiling, Hawks tries to be peacekeeper, raising his hands up between both Bakugo's.
"Fine, I'm too tired to deal with anymore of this." Tiredly, Katsumi slams her head in her hands grimacing at the sludge sticking to her head before diving down, leaving the room, leaving both boys alone as soon as the door is softly shut, swiftly fixed by the fluttering feathers of ruby red, Katsuki finally speaks.
"The fuck are you playing at?" Annoyed, Katsuki's seething scarily glowers into Hawk's gleaming gold.
"Nothing want a hot chocolate?" Hawks offers as Katsuki's eyes narrow at the ruby red mug in Hawk's hand.
"As if I'd want your shitty drink." Disgusted, Katsuki sneers at the sickening sight of cocoa.
"You sure? Seems to be you had a rough day." Hawks gathers blowing his cocoa.
"…You think by being nice to me you'll slither your way into my sister's pants." Poisonously, Katsuki states.
"Well I didn't think birds slither." Smirking, Hawks tries to joke despite the tight tension hanging heavily over the two.
"Shut up! I know what you're playing at! I won't let you." Stubbornly, Katsuki refuses.
"And what am I playing?" Playfully, Hawks decides to amuse the boy before him.
"My sister just because she's not interested in you, you get interested in her something that you can't have a challenge and once my sister lets her guard down you'll throw her away." Annoyed, Katsuki states the fact firmly, his hands shaking quivering, quaking looking like a volcano about to erupt.
"…You think I'm like that?" Hawks furrows his brow.
"I've seen your fans, I've seen how you work, I've seen it all." Angrily, Katsuki huffs.
"A bit stalkerish no?" Teasingly, Hawks wiggles his brow bemused by Katsuki's sharp scowl.
"My sister has been through enough she doesn't need you and those extra freaky fans of yours." Disgusted, Katsuki reminds him.
"Your sister can take care of herself." Hawks tells Katsumi confidence clear in his tone.
"You think I don't fucking know that!?" Tensely, Katsuki snaps sharply at him.
"…You know not everyone is going to win." Hawks says.
"The fuck…you eavesdropped on us." Katsuki hues expand at the thought.
"Couldn't help myself." Mischievously, Hawks smiles hands up in mock surrendering winking as his feathers flutter infuriating Katsuki.
"You're a piece of shit you know that!" Katsuki glares at Hawks.
"And you're one prideful piece of work aren't ya?" Hawks retorts.
"You…" Katsuki grinds his teeth together.
"Look Kid I get it you're young you got a pretty powerful quirk but everyone loses sometimes its when we acknowledge these weakness that we can learn how to overcome them, how to see this limit of ours and test it." Hawks explains to Katsuki.
"…The fuck you getting at?" Annoyed, Katsuki demands from Hawks.
"What I'm getting at is this…we all have our weaknesses you and your sister's quirk can damage your ligaments or if exposed to flames could cause huge damage not to just the villain but yourself and those in close proximity." Hawks elaborates his point.
"You…" Katsuki glowers shaking at him.
"You're a ticking time bomb!" Boisterously, Hawks smirks.
"...Bastard." Katsuki spits out venom oozing out of his tone.
"But hey we all have our weaknesses I ain't a great match up for power types, although I could beat your sister in a race or mobility test your sister although could catch up wouldn't beat me…" Hawks shrugs his shoulders.
"Just get to it!" Impatiently, Katsuki orders him.
"In terms of strength your sister would destroy me." Hawks shrugs.
"Damn right she would." Katsuki huffs crossing his arms over his chest.
"You really do look up to her don't you?" Hawks smiles softly at Katsuki.
"…" Silently, Katsuki glares grumbling.
"Look Kid I know you don't trust me and that's okay but I'm not playing games. " Hawks states seriously making Katsuki furrow his brow.
"…You're serious about her?" Uncertain, Katsuki furrows his brow at Hawks.
"Your sister is important to me, she's a good friend of mine and I wouldn't have anything ruin that." Truthfully, Hawks confesses staring Katsuki dead in the eye, his gold glaring into Katsuki's whose hues widen when feeling a shy shudder course down his spine.
"…Right." Katsuki glances to the side slightly shaken perplexing him.
"Now come on." Hawks smiles standing up, placing his cocoa to the side.
"Hm?" Katsuki furrows his brow noting Hawks feathers fluttering to this side taking the pen and paper offered.
"You have school tomorrow don't you?" Hawks remarks as he writes a small gone to take brother back home be right back.
"W-Well yeah." Scowling, Katsuki slowly stands as Hawks gently taps the tip of his pencil against the page.
"Then you're going back home." Hawks says swiftly finishing said note with a small x.
"What? Am I interrupting your private time?" Tauntingly, Katsuki sneers scowling at the blonde towering over him smirking smugly.
"Well to be honest it's movie night for me and Kat so yeah you sort of are." Smiling, Hawks happily quirks his head to the side, a sadistic smirk upon his lips.
"…" Silently, Katsuki stares stunned up at Hawks, noting the faint flicker of his hues gold glinting dilating, looking primal almost at the remark, his small soft smile turning sadistic almost at Katsuki's question.
"Now come on you got school tomorrow I'll give you a lift." Hawks tells Katsuki.
"But…" Katsuki furrows his brow befuddled.
"But nothing. Look your sister had a real rough day so let's leave her to relax." Hawks smiles softly at the thought of her.
"And what if she trips, what if….?" Irritated, Katsuki scowls, a faint tint of anxiety etched in his tone.
"I have my feathers." Firmly, Hawks shrugs.
"And what are those flimsy fuckers going to do?" Katsuki demands from him.
"If she falls they'll pick her up at the least if there is an incident they'll tell me and I'll rush back over." Hawks smiles softly at him.
"Wait the hell are y-argh!" Angrily, Katsuki begins brow furrowed fury flowing through his veins as he screams, screeches, shouts horrified as he is swiftly snatched by the wrist as next he knew he was being taken home.
"Katsuki!? THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN!? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH WE WERE WORRIED ABOUT YOU!?" Mad, Mitsuki yells screaming at the back of her son swiftly bonking him in the head.
"SHUT IT OLD HAG!" Katsuki roars at her as Hawks sweat drops at the two.
"THE HELL YOU CALL ME YOU LITTLE BRAT!? I WAS GOING TO HAVE THE WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD ON YOUR ASS!" Angrily, Mitsuki scowls seething at Katsuki rudely brushing past her.
"TCH! STOP BEING DRAMATIC OLD HAG." Katsuki snarls at his mother before stomping up the steps.
"I WAS GOING TO CALL YOUR SISTER YOU KNOW! OI KATSUKI!" Mitsuki calls out only to hear the sharp slam of the door being swiftly shut.
"R-Right I'll just…" Shyly, Hawks smiles strained turning to leave clearly uncomfortable but…
"Eh?" Mitsuki furrows her brow at Hawks.
"Hm?" Hawks hums.
"Oh it's you." Disappointed, Mitsuki's scarlet scowl at the sheer sight of the blonde before her.
"H-Hi Mrs Bakugo might I just say you look lovely this evening." Happily, Hawks praises Mitsuki.
"Still a kiss ass I see." Scowling, Mitsuki miserably huffs.
"Um well…" Hawks smiles strained at Mitsuki.
"You brought my brat back?" Mitsuki assumes.
"That is what I did y-yeah." Hawks rubs the back of his neck.
"And where's Katsumi?" Mitsuki questions brow furrowed.
"Taking a bath she had a hard fight today." Hawks reveals to Mitsuki.
"…Right." Mitsuki furrows her brow crossing her arms over her chest.
"…" Sheepishly, Hawks smiles strained at the furrowed brow of Mitsuki.
"What the hell are you just standing there?" Fed up, she snaps sharply at Hawks taken aback.
"O-Oh sorry I'll just…" Embarrassed, Hawks bows his head.
"Get your ass inside." Incensed, Mitsuki boisterously barks at him.
"Pardon?" Perplexed, Hawks does a doubletake.
"You heard me might as well thank you for bringing our brat back." Mitsuki sighs slumping her shoulders exhaustion etched into her fatigued facial features.
"R-Right okay then…this is happening right now." Hawks smiles sheepishly sweat sliding down his tense temple, scratching the back of his neck as he slowly follows after Mitsuki inside.
"Masaru ain't in had some overtime to do or some shit." Scowling, Mitsuki tries to take a seat only to furrow her brow by the ruby red feather fluttering, trying to pull the chair out for Mitsuki making Mitsuki scowl swiftly slapping said feather aside giving Hawks a look making him squirm slightly.
"…Right….right. Sorry." Shyly, Hawks scratches his cheek before taking a seat across from Mitsuki.
"Well you just going to stand there or sit?" Scowling, Mitsuki crosses her arms over her chest fed up.
"What would you like?" Hawks asks as he smiles tightly at her.
"Just sit moron." Mitsuki yells at Hawks making him flinch from it.
"Righteo heh…" Hawks smiles shyly sitting down opposite Mitsuki. Silently, Hawks bows his head, sweat sliding down his tense temple, internally screaming, squirming at the tight tension hanging heavily over him, fidgeting from the ruby red glare sent Hawks way.
"So my daughter had a rough day." Mitsuki breaks the still silence between them both.
"Yeah…she had sludge all over her, so I made her a bath and…" Anxiously, Hawks continues smiling uneasily.
"I…I'm sorry." Sighing, Mitsuki exclaims furrowing her brow.
"Hm?" Humming, Hawks exclaims.
"I'm sorry for how I treated you when you first came it wasn't on what I said to you." Annoyed, Mitsuki sighs scowling.
"Huh?" Hawks says shocked.
"Masura and I were talking and the way I treated you wasn't right I let all the workplace gossip get the best of me and after everything my little girl's been through I just…I just wanted her to be happy." Merrily, Mitsuki says shocked.
"…And you think I couldn't make her happy?" Hawks raises a brow.
"I just…my daughter has been hurt her entire life, she has been disappointed time and time again to meet someone genuinely interested in her and not after her quirk, not after her connections to Masura and me, not after the story behind her arm…we just…gave up with her and I think she gave up too. My daughter may act strong but it's all an act after losing her arm she just…broke down. She wasn't the same girl who went to U.A who apologised to be U.A when she came back, everyone was babying her even me and her father it got so bad that she was cruel to everyone, she pushed people away so she could show her strength, her independence, so she could prove that she could still fight…she's always pushed herself to do things better but this new mindset she had to become spiteful towards those that had babied her…it wasn't healthy and it was sort of became a norm for her, not needing people even when she would be in pain whether it be from a fall or phantom pain she'd just brush it off acting as if she didn't need us….For her to have someone in her life who genuinely wants to befriend it…it scared me, it made me worry along with the rumour at work that only feud the paranoia I had for my baby girl to be disappointed again. I was scared this would be her breaking point…." Mitsuki elaborates, furrowing her brow explaining herself to Hawks whose yellows soften sadly at her words.
"Mrs Bakugo…" Politely, Hawks begins but…
"She's my baby girl Hawks. She's been through enough I just…" Mitsuki sighs sadly.
"I…I think I get it." Hawks shrugs unsure.
"You do?" Mitsuki exclaims.
"My…my folks weren't the best when it came to me so when Kat wanted me to meet hers I was…I was scared. I never really spoken to a normal family well I mean a family you know? So if I came off as forceful or pushy or anything I'm sorry I know what I did when it came to the hero popularity poll was inexcusable too." Hawks sighs sadly furrowing his brow as he explains himself to her.
"Which bit? You phoning my daughter just as it is about to air or you vomiting on my husband's shoes?" Smirking, Mitsuki jokes noting the darkness draped over Hawk's furrowed features.
"…Heh so you knew about that." Hawks says.
"It gave me quite the picture I'll say that much just as the fight where you pushed her out the way." Mitsuki recalls.
"Yeah…I can only imagine and that fight oh boy…" Hawks smiles shyly.
"Thanks for that." Mitsuki smiles shyly at him.
"You shouldn't thank me for that." Hawks tells Mitsuki.
"You know you don't really need to try so hard with us right? I mean my daughter hates fakes for her to pick you of all people…you must have said something or showed something that made her see past that faced." Smirking, Mitsuki leans into her palm amused at the thought.
"…You could say that. Still I'm surprised you watch her fights." Hawks confesses to Mitsuki.
"She's my kid got to make sure she's okay." Mitsuki sighs slumping her shoulders.
"Yeah…I should go it's getting late." Hawks slowly stands.
"Yeah…heh…about damn time." Mitsuki agrees slowly standing guiding him towards the door, smirking slightly, relieved almost.
"Huh? What is it?" Confused, Hawks furrows his brow as the two arrive outside the house.
"Finally got a smile out of ya, a real one make sure you come back got that? I want to know how the progress of getting me some grandkids comes along!" Mischievously, Mitsuki winks at Hawks his hues widening a glint gleaming glistening in his golds as he happily nods his head, a shy smile upon his lips, chuckling coyly under his breath before winking then taking flight, flying home back to his nest.
"Why the fuck you smiling like that?" Frowning, Katsumi furrows her brow as she sits down in her bed, book in hand furrowing her brow by the male before her undressing. She wears a loose pair of boxer shorts and a snow white shirt as she turns to the male, taking his shirt off as her ruby reds soften sadly at his back, bruises still lingering upon it. Tentatively, Katsumi reaches out gently placing her hand flat upon his back, no matter how broad his wings were, Katsumi could still see the bruises, the cuts…the singe marks making her stomach turn at the sight only fuelled further by the notion of his father…of his marks….She feels Hawk flinch briefly from the touch before easing down, his feathers once tense at the touch laxen.
"I'm just happy." Hawks smiles softly at her craning his neck to the side, his glistening gold meeting her ruby reds as he takes hold of her hand, bowing his head to gently peck the front of her hand.
"Stop it, it's creepy." Coyly, she mocks gently a heavy hue of ruby red upon her cheeks only making Hawk's soft smile widen when seeing said reaction.
"You loooove it you looove it really." Teasingly, Hawks smirks tugging her forward into his arms, into a side hug of sorts as he rocks her back and forth in his lap, nuzzling, nestling into her side.
"How was m brother with you taking him home? Were things were okay? With you talking to…" Worriedly, Katsumi fretfully furrows her brow at the happy Hawks, appreciating the concern clear in her tone as he holds her.
"Your mum." Merrily, Hawks smirks.
"You spoke to ma!?" Horrified, Katsumi grimaces at the thought.
"Yeah she likes me now." Joyfully, Hawks reveals said news to him.
"…What did you do?" Katsumi's scarlet scowl narrowing at him.
"Must have been my charm." Teasingly, he winks at Katsumi rolling her eyes as he continues nuzzling into her side, his feathers fluttering in the air.
"I'm sure and my brother?" Curious, Katsumi leans her head back against Hawk's shoulder.
"We had a talk you know how it is he's fine now." Hawks assures her.
"Right…DIE!" Katsumi grabs the pillow swiftly slamming it into the shocked Hawks face.
"Eh? What was that for?" Frazzled, Hawks furrows his brow befuddled by her outburst.
"For being an ass today this will stay between us if I feel even an inch of this pillow being moved your dead got that!?" Angrily, Katsumi berates before plopping said pillow between them removing herself from his arms and picking up her book, returning to her side of the bed.
"Aw Kat come on." Pouting, Hawks whines slumping his shoulders at her. He drapes his head over the top of the pillow looking down at her curled-up form.
"I mean it I'll fucking kill you!" She warns him looking up at him and poking his nose.
"Fiiiine." Frowning, Hawks puffs his cheeks out plopping himself down on the bed brow furrowing at the sudden slosh of coldness washing over him while Katsumi returns to her book….
Tries to at the least.
"What'cha reading?" Curious, Hawks asks as he looks up at the ceiling, counting the feathers flying high in the air.
"A book." Briskly, Bombarda answers.
"A book about what?" Intrigued, Hawks probes.
"Murder." Katsumi's ruby red narrow.
"Planning a murder are we?" Mischievously, Hawks wiggles a brow bemused as he peers over the plump pillow once more seeing her sharp scowl as he places his forefinger upon her head, moving her scowl upwards.
"if you keep scowling like that it'll stay that way." Hawks tells her unaware of her raw red twitching.
"If you continue down the way you are I may or may not take a note from this book." Bombarda warns the blonde before her hearing his coy chuckle.
"Good to know my murderer beforehand. Still I'm a bit hurt Kat." Pouting, Hawks sighs sadly.
"Why?" Katsumi furrows her brow looking up at him.
"A magpie murders you're reading about another bird behind my back? I'm hrut Kat truly." Mockingly, he places his hand over his chest where his heart would be making Katsumi roll her eyes at the dramatic boy before her.
"I'm sure….still now that you mention it…I may need to read a book about red tailed hawks." Thoughtfully, Katsumi considers standing up slightly in her bed.
"Oh so interested are we?" Hungrily, Hawks smirks, a glint gleaming in his glistening gold.
"I need to be ready in case of anything." Annoyed, she swiftly corrects him, ignoring the faint ruby red tint to her own cheeks.
"Well what method of getting to know a red-tailed hawks then physically?" Purring, Hawks drapes his arm over the pillow, wrapping his arm around her or trying to until…
"DIE." Swiftly, she grabs another pillow tossing it at his head once more.
"Did you have to do that?" Tiredly, Hawks huffs at the dejection.
"You went over the line dumbass you're lucky you ain't six feet under." Katsumi states.
"I'm sure. Come on I'm not the only cuddler." Cheekily, he reminds her.
"One wrong move and I'll kill you." Icily, she snaps at him.
"Yeah, yeah…night Katsu." Endearingly, Hawks smiles softly at her as she places her book down on the bedside cabinet.
"Night…" Katsumi sighs slowly closing her eyes as she delves her head further into the plump pillow below her oblivious that over the night both pros would lean against one another, that the softness of the plush pillow sneakily slides out of the bed where as soon as it drops down, a certain brunet shivers shakes, shyly shuffling over to the warmth by her side, unaware that by her soft shuffles of her head being placed upon a certain chest that a pair of gold slowly opens, gleaming glistening down at the sight of Bombarda below. Softly, he smiles as he places his chin on top of her head as the two nuzzle into one another, his feathers fluttering her heart hammering alongside his own as the two relish the warm, relish the comfort gifted upon each of them, seeking solace within one another's arms, as they descend into the dark depths of their subconscious.
"How are you Sebastian still nibbling on that cheese of yours? I thought of getting you some blue cheese, but I see someone's gotten a little chubby." Cooing, the voice calls out making Katsumi falter from the voice. She finds herself in the middle school hallway, brow furrowing at the high pitch voice, one you'd give your dog or something so curiosity gets the best of her. She makes her way into the lab, arching a brow by the strange sight of Ryoma prodding poking the rats below, combing his finger through the rat's hair talking to him as if they were people in a weird high pitch tone.
"Ryoma?" Confused, Katsumi furrows her brow by the boy's back to her, freezing from her voice alone as he flinches from it. Swiftly, eh turns his focus back to the chemical set, focusing on the chemical compounds before him in his own little world of mixing, of stirring, of dissolving said solutions before peering over at the box beofre her. Shyly, she enters the room, the soft sound of the padding of her heels echoes throughout the lab when watching Ryoma shyly peer over at the rats scurrying around the box of sorts minding their own business.
"….Did you know quirks were said to have come from rats? There are many theories to quirk creation but each one ends with the same sense of hope with the same sense of everyone is different and their quirks are all amazing but that isn't the truth now is it? There are people who suffer from their quirks, their quirks make them who they are, they can have urges to do things they don't normally want to do, they do things that society deems bad but its not something thye can control. They are deemed as villains just for not fitting into society's structure…" Scowling, Ryoma announces as he doesn't even bat an eye to her, continuing to focus on the task at hand.
"Ryoma…" Katsumi shyly steps forward further furrowing her brow by his words.
"People praise your quirk Katsumi but we both know how harmful it can be just as I know how harmful my own quirk can be. With one trip of my tail I can wreck a whole budling with one snap of my wrist I can break someone's wrist into teeny tiny pieces. I hate it how people praise our gifts acting as if we should be grateful for it, they have no idea the pressure we put ourselves under on a daily basis. My mother died thanks to her quirk you know?" Ryoma stares down at his hand, small scales surfacing as his nails turn talons briefly before scales soon shift forming upon his sharp skin. Disgust drips down his tone as he flexes his fingertips, his hues darkening….
"Your mother?" Mystifed, Katsumi blinks baffled by his confession.
"She had a poison when she gave birth to me it was released it would have killed me if not for the poison already in my body but for her…her heart stopped, the poison had put too much strain on her." Honestly, he confesses to her pained.
"Ryoma…" Katsumi sighs crossing her arms over her chest.
"But if we can find a solution…" Seriously, Ryoma offers optimistically.
"Solution?" Scowling, Katsumi furrows her brow by his words.
"If we can find a way to return society to its norm maybe some sense of sensibility can be formed." Frowning, Ryoma considers.
"But what of those with quirks that can help people? That can heal people? Those that have created so much for our society?" Scowling, Katsumi questions.
"Playing devil's advocate are we intriguing…I suppose you od make a point there. However I'm not saying to turn our back entirely, we should acknowledge the society we live in now and learn from it." Ryoma smirks smugly amused almost at her counter.
"But who says we can choose what quirk can make it to this new world you speak of? How are we better than those above that you complained about?" Annoyed, Katsumi furrows her brow.
"…I want to help those people. I want to help free them from societies pressures of having that quirk." Resolved, Ryoma tells Katsumi.
"...is that your goal?" Katsumi quirks her head to the side.
"Maybe it is…maybe it's from the people I've seen who've suffered from their quirks. Isn't it strange how just a few years ago what we call heroes would have been soldiers? I wonder what happened to make those that became heroes stand out from soldiers was it the lack of a uniform or their quirk being that much better? Did you know that the amount of soldiers nowadays being recruited nowadays is decreased day by day most wanting to become heroes…" Ryoma asks her.
"No I did not know that." Truthfully, Katsumi answers.
"Not many do but that's what I wonder what is it that makes heroes and soldiers different? All heroes are, are glorified pawns for the higher ups to play house with, to have them throw away their lives all for their own gain…at least when you're a solider you're respected enough to be given privacy to have people leave you alone when they know you've suffered but why isn't that the case for heroes Katsumi? Why is it if a hero has a fault the media has to go crazy about it? Why is it if a hero struggles or suffers it's the end of their career it isn't for the soldier at least people know soldiers are human despite the deeds they have done so why aren't heroes treated the same?" Ryoma elaborates.
"…I…I don't know." Katsumi grimaces glancing to the side.
"Not many do now do they?" Dryly, Ryoma remarks only the to curse as the bottle comes crashing down to the ground just as he was about to pour said substance into another beaker before breaking it as shards shatter said substance pools at the feet of the two.
"Ryoma…" Warningly, Katsumi furrows her brow leaning down to pick up the sharp shards but…
"Don't touch!" Harshly, he hisses batting her had away.
"But…" Katsumi begins brow furrowing.
"I don't need your pity!" Roaring, Ryoma snaps scowling.
"Ryoma this isn't…" Katsumi argues annoyed however…
"Why are you even here in the first place? Do you think by bothering me, by continuing to pester me I'll forgive you. I don't have to forgive you so stop following me to guilt trip me into giving you that forgiveness to just make yourself feel better." Fed up, Ryoma seethes, his ruby reds tearing up taking Katsumi aback.
"I…" Katsumi blinks baffled by his words before sighing shaking her head done with the boy beofre her as she leaves him, leaving him to him mixing his compounds…
