Katsumi furrows her brow as she sits at her desk finally finishing the last of the paperwork at home, today was her day off and the last of the paperwork was almost finished. Maybe if she finished this she could take a break, it was time for her to take a break for a bit clear her head, with everything that's happened, maybe a brief climb would help clear her thoughts, she always enjoyed them anyway and besides she couldn't just lay in for all of her days off sure she loved it but…
"What'cha thinking about?" Astonished, Katsumi jolts up at the voice, jumping up from her seat slightly staring stunned at the winged hero perched upon her desk smirking down at her.
"When did you get here?" Confused, Katsumi furrows her brow at the sight of Hawks smoothly sliding over a bag of food for her making her sigh, softly hearing the faint gurgle of her stomach.
"I've always been here." Honestly, Hawks tells her as she sighs shaking her head at him gently taking the bag from him.
"Huh." Katsumi mutters opening said bag, recognising the familiar order she would order each time, was she that predictable?
"So…?" Smoothly, Hawks asks taking her aback as she turns her focus back on him.
"So?" She raises a brow befuddled.
"What'cha thinking about?" Hawks smiles leaning over the desk.
"Stuff." Snippily, she answers turning back to said papers.
"What sort of stuff?" Smirking, Hawks presses on.
"You won't give up until I tell you will you?" Tiredly, Katsumi sighs slumping slouching her shoulders, she knew how Hawks was by now…
"Well that's how it normally goes between us." Unfazed, Hawks states the obvious.
"Fine I'm thinking of going camping tomorrow." Tiredly, she confesses to him.
"…What?" Hawks blinks befuddled
"What?" Katsumi barks back, defensively.
"You're going camping?" Confused, Hawks furrows his brow.
"Maybe I mean…maybe climbing would be more specific." Sighing, she considers.
"…Why?" Hawk's hues narrow befuddling Bombarda.
"I doubt someone like you would understand but some of us can't fly wherever we want." Scowling, she reminds him, standing up from her seat crossing her arms annoyed over her chest cross.
"Someone like me?" Hawks huffs back surprisingly annoyed.
"Your wings, you can fly to the top some of us can't do that." Tensely, she states the obvious.
"So…you're just going to climb a mountain?" Mystified, Hawks furrows his brow befuddled by her decision to just climb a mountain mystifying him.
"Yep." Katsumi confirms straight-faced.
"But…" Baffled, Hawks exclaims lost but soon trails off.
"But what?" Curtly, Katsumi coldly cuts him off quirking her head to the side.
"Why?" Hawks quirks his head to the side.
"It's good for the head endorphins and all that shit." Scowling, she waves him off.
"…Oh." Hawks hues widen when hearing her words as he notes her take out a bag beginning to pack now set on the idea, she still had a few hours left she could make it…
"…You'll need t-" Katsumi begins but soon falters furrowing her brow by the strange sight to behold.
"What the hell are you doing?" Lost, she stares down at the happy Hawks stuffed in her back, his knees curled to his chest smiling up at her.
"Let's go." Happily, Hawks tells her.
"What?" Bombarda blinks baffled, a part of her impressed that he managed to get in the bag at all with his wings another aspect of her puzzled by his sudden want to join her.
"I wanna go why else do you think I'm in this thing?" Tiredly, Hawks huffs, his feathers fluffing up.
"For a gag." Bluntly, Bombarda deadpans.
"Well yeah but I do wanna go." Hawks tells her.
"You don't just go I mean you can but I mean…" Bombarda begins brow furrowed not quite sure where to begin with another lecture of hers, simply staring stunned down at the bird below her.
"What ashamed to be seen with me?" Huffing, Hawks puffs his cheeks out earning an exasperated eyeroll from Katsumi.
"If you mean carrying a grown ass man in my bag yes, yes I would be." Bluntly, Bombarda deadpans as she crouches down, kneeling down to Hawks height furrowing her brow at him.
"If you hate it so much help me out of it." Hawks grumbles offering his hands out to her like some child asking to be picked up.
"You perfectly know you could get out of it yourself." Scowling, she stands up crossing her arms over her chest once more.
"Yep." Unapologetic, Hawks confirms as a still silence hangs heavily between both Bombarda and Hawks until Bombarda sighs scowling at the change of plans.
"Urgh…" She kneels down once more just as he wraps his arms around her alongside his legs while she easily picks him up with ease a part of her surprised at how light he is while Hawks himself is a burning blushing mess at the sheer strength of the muscular woman below him.
"So can I come?" Hopeful, Hawks asks nuzzling into her side smirking slightly when noting her heading to her bedroom, their bedroom, their nest…
"Why?" Katsumi furrows her brow oblivious to Hawks slitted hues.
"Why not? It's like you said endorphins and all that." Smiling, he nuzzles into her however…
"You seem chipper enough." Aloofly, she plops him down on the bed.
"Is it so wrong for me to want to spend time with you?" Whining, Hawks stretches his arms out trying to be dramatic, posing almost as Katsumi rolls her eyes at the bird on her bed.
"But with your quirk won't it sort of defeat the purpose?" Perplexed, Katsumi points out unaware of Hawks still reeling from the sheer ease of Katsumi plopping him down feeling the blistering blush burn his cheeks almost at the sheer strength of the woman above him.
"Tell you what I won't use my quirk." Happily, Hawks offers.
"You won't?" Katsumi raises a brow.
"Nope think of it as an extra backpack or something." Smiling, he shrugs.
"Why do I get the feeling even if I said no you'd find someway to tag along?" Tiredly, Katsumi sighs.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Aloofly, Hawks smirks.
"…Are you serious about this?" Tiredly, she demands from him.
"Yep!" Hawks nods his head smoothly sliding around the bed turning into a burrito of sorts, smiling, sniffing the scene that manages to make his slitted hues soften a bit.
"Alright then." Katsumi turns her back to him heading to get her purse.
"Where you going?" Alarmed, Hawks questions concern clear in his burrito form.
"Shopping if you're climbing with me this is going to be taken seriously go it!?" Irritated, she snaps sharply at him.
"Aye aye captain." Happily, Hawks plops himself down off the bed groaning still wrapped around the smooth silken comforting cocoon reluctantly unveiling himself, ignoring the teeny tiny voices as he eagerly follows her towards the mall.
"No." Strictly, Katsumi snatches Hawk's hand tugging him away from the ruby red jewels gleaming glistening on display, his slitted gold gleam at the sight making Katsumi scowl swiftly taking him away from any unnecessary buying. They were here for climbing equipment not this, not this at all.
"Aw come on you would look pretty with that on." Whining, Hawks huffs craning his neck back brow furrowing.
"Do you know how expensive that stuff is?" Irritated, Katsumi snaps sternly scowling, the only reason she could see herself buying such things would be for something she could easily put knuckle bracers on.
"It's nothing compared to seeing you smile." Smiling, Hawks whispers gently tugging her back taking her aback as she feels his head once more resting in the crook of her neck, nuzzling into her side, bringing a faint feverish ruby red tint to her crimson cheeks.
"Do you hear the shit sprouting out of your mouth!? Besides I barely wear stuff like that it'd be a waste." Sighing, she removes herself from him earning a small pout from the huffing Hawks.
"But your smile's a worth a dozen diamonds." Dubiously, he argues squeezing her hand.
"Haaaawks." Katsumi sighs rolling her eyes exasperated by the blonde before her.
"Aw come on I'm just teasing." Teasingly, he winks at her.
"One of these days I swear I'll shove that head of yours through one of them windows." Intensely, she snaps scowling at him.
"I'm sure wait do you even know my size?" Hawks furrows his brow.
"Course I do." Scoffing, she rolls her eyes as she tugs her into the shop.
"Whoa someone's been watching me." Mischievously, Hawks wiggles a brow bemused.
"Someone's been cleaning the crap off my floor." Frowning, Katsumi snaps back.
"Oh come on." Hawks rolls his eyes exasperated.
"Do I need to remind you of your Endeavour undies?" Lowly, she whispers learning in earning a ruby red tint to his own cheeks at the sight.
"Point taken." Strained, Hawks smiles.
"That's what I thought now come on." She sighs removing her hand from his making him put watching her focus on the clothing rack.
"Aye aye captain." Huffing, Hawks gives in sitting down on one of the seats staring at the back of Katsumi focusing on the task at hand, he could already imagine the blockers on her.
"Right let's see…." Katsumi whispers focusing on the material at hand.
"Is that…?" Hawks perks up at the voice turning to see a group of girls watching them making him sigh at yet another group of fans for them to deal with.
"Oh my god!" Another sharp squeal joins in making Hawks furrow his brow.
"Jiro calm down would ya?" Mina sighs at Jiro gawking, peering over at the sight of the two.
"Calm down!? Calm down!? Do you guys know who that is?" Panicked, Jiro whispers staring stunned at the heroes.
"Yeah duh that's Bombarda!" Mina answers.
"Oh is she the singer of that music you like?" Momo quirks her head to the side joining in.
"Shhh! Not so loud." Swiftly, she slams her hand over Momo's mouth.
"Jiro calm down it's fine." Frowning, Mina tries to calm her down.
"No it's not I can't believe she's here." Jiro whispers in awe almost.
"Why don't you go up and talk to her?" Momo offers.
"TALK TO HER!? Momo you don't get it Bombarda isn't like most heroes she doesn't do the whole autograph thing besides it would be really rude. She's clearly here enjoying her day off and…" Anxiously, Jiro rants anxiously unaware of Hawk's small smirk.
"Oi Kat." Hawks calls out to her.
"Hm?" Said hero turns to him, shirt in hand, pressing it gently against Hawks, paying partial attention as she focuses on the task at hand.
"Seems you got a fan." Flirtatiously, Hawks leans in gently wrapping his hand around her wrist.
"Eh?" She blinks baffled turning to eye the group of girls, her ruby reds meeting a pair of scared shaking pitch black.
"SHIT! Our eyes met shit shit shit!" Swiftly, she dives down trying to hide.
"Jiro I assure you I spoke to her myself she's a rather nice person." Politely, Momo assures the gawking Jiro.
"WAIT YOU SPOKE TO BOMBARDA!?" Baffled, Jiro grabs hold of Momo shaking her stunned.
"…Is she okay?" Katsumi furrows her brow quirking her head to the side at the animated antics.
"I think she's just having what I call a fan attack." Cheekily, Hawks winks smirking smugly amused at the side, he had seen a fair few fans act like this.
"Fan attack?" Katsumi furrows her brow befuddled.
"Yeah I've had a fair few myself when the fan gets so frantic from the sheer sight of you they panic." Hawks sighs wistfully boasting about it almost earning a sharp scowl from Katsumi.
"…Do you know how narcissistic you sound right now?" Katsumi deadpans, brow furrowing.
"Just saying from experience." Boastfully, Hawks smirks smugly.
"Right…oi girl." Katsumi calls out to the girl freezing from the voice.
"H-Huh m-me!?" Mystified, Jiro squeaks slightly ruby red all over her flaming features.
"Yes you, the one with the earphones you want something from me?" Katsumi calls out to the girl.
"N-No I-I mean I-I…" Jiro stutters stammer her earphones clicking together.
"Spit it out." Bluntly, Bombarda orders.
"I'm sorry for bothering you I'll just…" Jiro turns away.
"Hold your gears kid." Hawks sighs feeling pity for the girl.
"W-Wow Hawks too!?" Mina gushes gawking ruby red upon her own cheeks at the sight of the blonde bringing a small smug smirk to his lips, earning another annoyed eyeroll from Katsumi.
"They have been seen a lot together." Thoughtfully, Momo points out.
"Yes I had heard they were as they say stuck to the hip." Jiro adds.
"I hear they're dating." Dubiously, Mina smirks.
"And we can hear you." Katsumi remarks.
"S-Sorry." Jiro bows her head ashamed.
"It's cool sorry about Kat she isn't exactly a people person." Perkily, Hawks tells the group earning a sharp scowl from Katsumi.
"Die!" Katsumi snaps sharply scowling blasting Hawks in the face making the group gawk gaping at the sheer sight, smoke spewing out of her palms.
"See!" Smiling, Hawks says unfazed by the smoky smears on his face.
"Uhhh…" Mina trails off unsure.
"Anyway I'm sure she'd be happy to give you an autograph if you have the pen and paper." Playfully, Hawks winks at the group of girls.
"R-Really? W-Wait I don't have…" Hopeful, Jiro whispers only to falter furrowing her brow.
"Here Jiro." Smiling, Momo creates some pen and paper passing it over to her.
"Thanks Momo!" Jiro beams brightly.
"Who do I write this for?" Frowning, she questions.
"J-Jiro I…I really like your music, the way you get your voice to scream like that is amazing." Amazed, Jiro gushes a heavy hue of ruby red upon her crimson cheeks.
"Oh that yeah Kane taught me that." Katsumi mutters.
"Do you think I could get his autograph too?" Jiro asks.
"Kid you'd be making his dream come true if you told him that." Truthfully, Katsumi confesses.
"Really?" Jiro's hues expand.
"Really." Katsumi confirms.
"Hey can I have an autograph too!" Merrily, Mina joins in.
"M-Mina!" Jiro hisses.
"Oh yeah I saw you at the sports festival you were destroyed by thread girl." Bluntly, Bombarda recalls.
"Urgh Sayako didn't even use her threads on me." Mad, Mina puffs her cheeks out annoyed.
"And you, I remember us speaking." Katsumi points to Momo.
"Y-Yes we meet again." Politely, Momo bows her head to her.
"How you doing with the whole issue?" Bluntly, Bombarda asks her.
"I…I think I found my resolve in a sense." Shyly, she smiles at Katsumi.
"Good. Seems you've gotten more confident that's good to see just make sure you don't end up like jackass over…here." Katsumi points to Hawks however when she turns to said blonde brow furrowing at the strange still silence behind her no snippy remarks no nothing only then to…
"Um where is…?" Mina begins but…
"HAWKS YOU MOTHER-" Mad, Katsumi snaps sharply scowling seething snarling as she glares at the blonde having fled from the scene.
"Look it was nice meeting fans but I got to go find the man-child." Miserably, Katsumi grumbles under her breath bitterly, seething snarling scowling at the sheer nerve of him, ditching her, how dare he!
"Hey Bombarda, are the rumours true though?" Curious, Mina calls out to her just as she turns her back to leave the girls…
"What rumours?" Befuddled, Bombarda turns back towards the girl's confusion clear on her furrowed features.
"Mina!" Panicked, Jiro hisses at her but…
"You and Hawks." Merrily, Mina ignores Jiro eager.
"Me and him?" Baffled, Bombarda's ruby reds narrow further frazzled.
"You and him!" Mischievously, Mian squeals smiling.
"…What?" Katsumi exclaims still lost.
"You know…are you guys…?" Mina soon gestures perplexing Katsumi.
"Are we what?" Impatiently, she snaps scowling fed up with these games.
"Together." Meekly, Mina whimpers when recoiling back from the sharp scowl sent her way like a turtle rejecting back into its shell shaking beofre the brunette.
"…Where the hell did you get that idea from?" Furious, she snaps sharply at the group below.
"O-Oh sorry we didn't…" Apologetic, Momo begins but…
"No I suppose with the media it seems those of the opposite sex seemingly can't be friends without something being between them." Tiredly, Bombarda bitterly huffs why was she being shipped with every one of the opposite gender to her honestly! Why was she even being shipped at all baffled her! She was no relationship person she liked being alone that itself should show she wasn't one for such attachments.
"I wouldn't take it to heart it was the same when you went shopping with Fatgum." Meekly, Momo offers attempting to cheer her up however…
"…Of course, still you like music I assume?" Annoyed, she turns back to Jiro flinching form her unyielding glare.
"I do I listen to it almost every day Soundspark's music really is great." Giddily, Jiro smiles shyly messing around with her earphone, a faint ruby red tint surfacing to her cheeks.
"Well keep your eye out he's releasing another album soon enough." She sighs.
"R-Really?" Hopeful, Jiro asks.
"Yeah knowing him he hopes to do a signing." Scowling, she turns to glare to the side.
"I know Soundspark may be seen as a sidekick to some but he really is an inspiration when it comes to music I really do enjoy his music." Merrily, Jiro reveals making Katsumi sigh slightly relieved to know her friend had at least a fan. She knew how excited he was with his last album, having decided to make a signing thing made public it was sad that only five came he was so excited, he had hoped for more, she remembered his dejected form hiding away for hibernation for three whole weeks, if Haneul hadn't dragged him out….
"Heh, keep up with that attitude and he may ask if he can recruit you as his sidekick." Smirking, she jokes lightly only then to falter furrowing her brow at the slight scare of that. The agency never normally recruited sidekicks due to certain dangers but with Kane, he could easily nag her down to it.
"You think so?" Smiling, Jiro squeals excited, a gleam glistening in her hues.
"Trust me when I say this that guy appreciates his fans he works hard with his music for them." Tiredly, Katsumi mutters furrowing her brow by how desperate Kane could be sometimes she valued her friend sure but he could be a bit…much sometimes, intense even, passionate is something sure but intense is just well…intense.
"I can tell." Jiro beams brightly.
"Still I should get going it was nice talking to you guys." Sternly, she raises her hand about to bid them farewell hoping to find that fleeing bird so she could pin him down to the ground for having left her with people he had brought over, they were his problem not hers.
"Y-You too!" Jiro stutters as Bombarda turns her back to the kids leaving on a bird hunt.
"Man she's so cool!" Excited, Mina squeals smiling hopping up and down.
"Yes, she is rather amazing…" In awe, Momo agrees bowing her head still feeling the adrenaline pumping through her veins from such a feat.
"To be hired as a sidekick for the bombardment agency…She really is amazing." Shyly, Jiro scratches her cheek coyly at the thought, a heavier hue of ruby red appearing at the sheer thought of working with such fame in her eyes, to work with such heroes, to work with those she and her father had listened to when she was a girl. She remembered the first few songs she tried to cover with her dad were often from Soundspark's track, she couldn't help it they were just so…!
"Bombarda hey you made it and here I thought you were going to leave me hanging." Happily, he stands from his seat, smirking smugly at her.
"Trust me when I say it was a tempting offer." Curly, she crosses her arms over her chest. He was the one who ditched her and yet here he was while she was shopping for him…
"I see you're busy it was nice talking to you." Cheekily, Hawke winks at the two before wrapping his arm around the scowling Bombarda, before winking at the two and heading off, dragging the nagging, snarling, yapping brunette away, leaving the two alone…
"Trying to pry some information about the USJ incident again are we?" Annoyed, Katsumi sneers scowling at Hawks.
"Are you mad?" Mischievously, Hawks smirks slightly at her.
"I prefer the word tried." Tense, she mutters under her breath bitterly.
"Still it was good to see Tokoyami up and about." Happily, Hawks offers optimistically almost rubbing salt in the wound.
"Agreed. Here." Sternly, she shoves a bag at him.
"Hm?" Hawks blinks baffled by the back thrown his way.
"Your clothes for the climb." Curtly, she huffs.
"You bought these?" Taken aback, Hawks stares stunned at the bag in his hands.
"No I shoplifted what do you think?" Dryly, she scoffs.
"Wait did you use your money?" Hawks asks.
"…" Quietly, Katsumi brushes by the blonde.
"O-Oi Bombarda! Hawks begins only to gasp when next thing the two knew water was descending down from the high heavens, the alarming blaring boisterously throughout.
"Oh you got to be kidding me…" Miserably, Katsumi groans craning her neck back, slumping her shoulders done just done.
"My feathers don't sense any flames." Frowning, Hawks mutters.
"Course no, no doubt some brat thought it'd be funny to pull the alarm. Come on." Katsumi grumbles dismissing it.
"Right…" Hawks sighs following after her the two leave the mall…
"Haneul do it!" Bombarda screams, she hated having to do this but it seemed the only way as she had been chasing after the gigantic beast before them, a lizard-like creature eating every single thing seems whatever food they consumed. They'd grow bigger and bigger causing chaos throughout the city. So she thought what better treat them some smoke.
"You sure?" Unsure, Haneul argues brow furrowed clearly concerned for her boss to go to such length as said boss bounces from one building to the next projecting herself with her gauntlets.
"Just do it!" Bombarda calls out grimacing as next thing Haneul had focused the hurricane giving her the boost she needed as she reeled her fist back, slamming into the now snow-white prison cell of his tooth, holding in her breath not even wanting to think or even imagine the foul breath on the guy as she gave blast after blast as before she knew it she was thrown back, Bombarda having been saved by…
"Seems you fell for me." Mischievously, Hawks wiggles a brow bemused only to meet the firm flat frown of Katsumi.
"Seems you're blind." Bitterly, she seethes as Hawks blinks baffled by the coating on her. He gently places her down as next she knew she was slathered with salvia as both Bombarda and Haneul share a look, no words needing to be shed. Hawks blinks brow furrowed at what had just happened lost while Haneul tosses the man to the police, the bright blaring lights of ruby red and boisterous blue resonating as the two grunt and leave, heading to the nearest shower…
Focused, Katsumi furrows her brow as she tries to get any slick of salvia off her form, furrowing her brow feeling her digits dig deep into her brown locks. She tousles them feeling the faint splash of warm water dampening her head now come crashing down upon her form. She couldn't believe that villain just eating away at anything and here she thought Hawks had the stomach still speaking off, she furrows her brow at the thought, he had been eating a lot lately she didn't want to say anything because what amazed her was no matter how much he ate he hadn't gained any form of fat. A part of her was envious at that, perhaps it was a bird trait? Katsumi had no idea still he was eating much more a lot more lately she had seen the extra bags he would bring home for himself so long as he didn't touch her stuff she was fine with it, he was paying for the food after all but still…she couldn't help but feel the green monster gnawing away at her. He always made a thing about her skin, she saw how he'd eye her as he did his skincare routine to think the tables would turn now…
Bored, Hawks furrows his brow as he watches the TV lounging on the sofa wearing his casual gear, having decided to check on Katsumi after that messy mission. A small smirk crosses his lips at the memory, he still couldn't believe how ballsy Bombarda could be sometimes. She didn't even bat an eye to diving into that giant's mouth. Still, it worked no matter how disgusting the battle was. Hawks had no clue of the battle he was doing his daily patrol when he saw the brunette blur smash into the tooth of the giant causing chaos and just leaping in without a moment of hesitation only a wave of regret soon washing over her as she was spat out looking repulsed looking disgusted looking ready to murder someone. Still, Hawks had caught her.
"Kaaaat." Bored, Hawks huffs furrowing his brow how long was it meant to take a shower? He was never that long in the shower…then again he ever had been in the mouth of a giant before so…still Hawks furrows his brow by the familiar sensation eating gnawing away at his chest as he places his hand on his torso, feeling his fingertips dig deep into the flimsy fabric of shirt scowling. He knew he needed to talk to her soon…he couldn't keep it up not at this rate. Hawks curls in on himself, wrapping his arms around himself bringing his legs close. His gold narrow glancing up at the searing scarlet plumage of his feathers proudly presenting, how many times had he tried to get her get the message and how may times had it failed…Hawks had lost count.
Hawks knew how Katsumi was with work it was as Fatgum states she was on blockers but…he really didn't want to talk about it so bluntly. He loved how blunt she was at times how she would just cut through the bullshit for someone like him who spoke shit twenty four seven to come home to just still silence for him to not act the way he normally had to was nice, it was refreshing, the way she could just see through his bullshit he liked it even if it did cause him problems from time to time but this…Hawks felt his crimson cheeks deepened at the thought. He couldn't tell her it was embarrassing. He hated this side of himself, truly he did, he knew what he was supposed to do but it just…it made him feel weird, it made him feel like shit, it made his stomach tight, sore and just sting he thought maybe…as selfish as it sounded…he had to talk to her about this, he had to fill her in, he had to prepare her for what was to come.
Bravely, Hawks rushes up to the bathroom his feet taking control as next he knew, he had slammed the door open, for all he knew she could have fallen again and was struggling that could be why she was taking so long…or so Hawks hoped but…
"THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE PLAYING AT!? Angrily, Katsumi screams sharply at him as she pulls the shower curtain close to herself only making her figure pop out more as Hawks simply stares ignoring the heat below, ignoring the primal voice, ignoring the urge to just pounce as she screamed, shouted, screeches at him. However she remained pokerfaced, having too many voices in his head to even acknowledge her sharp scream.
"Are we - stop screaming, it's just me - we out of Cheetos?" Calmly, he asks Bombarda blinking baffled by him as next he knew, something as thrown at him as he fell flat to the tiled floor below groaning…
Quietly, Katsumi stares out at the horizon of the city, brow furrowing as she leans against the railing of her home balcony. She furrows her brow when feeling a faint bead of sweat slither down her tense temple making her furrow her brow while inside Hawks happily sweeps at a fair few feathers littered across the floor oblivious to the grim grave look upon the stern stoic mask of Katsumi.
"Hawks…" Gently, Katsumi calls out to him taking him aback as he stops in his cleaning turning towards her furrowing his brow when noting the pain in her tense tone.
"Hm? Hawks hums perking up at her words.
"We need to talk." Tiredly, Katsumi tells him brow furrowing, she wears a black tank top with a pair of jogging bottoms. She sighs furrowing her brow when taking out her phone noting the small message she sent to her baby brother, she saw the message she sent a while back giving him the best of luck in his exam only for her latest to be have fun at the training camp.
"Talk about what?" Hawks asks alarmed almost at her words feeling him tense up as he smiles strained when noting her drunken hues, ignoring the voice in his head haunting him taunting him. He rushes over to her side, panic pumping through his veins.
"…" Silently, Katsumi stares out at the horizon unaware of Hawk's grip tightening around the broom before pushing it aside as he turns his attention solely on her, his glistening gold slitted.
"Kat what's going on? Is it boundaries cause I swear-" Hawks questions furrowing concern clear on his face furrowing his features hating seeing her in this state.
"It's getting hotter." Katsumi remarks making Hawks furrow his brow.
"You don't need to tell me that heh…" Hawks smiles strained scratching at his cheek trying to look away from her, feeling his heated cheeks only grow deeper darker as he ignores the urges threatening to slip through. He couldn't…he couldn't do that, no he wouldn't…why did she have to wear such clothing? Hawks combs his fingertips through his hair tugging at a fair few stray strands, stopping the voices threatening to have him act, he wouldn't, he couldn't, he refused to.
"..." Silently, Katsumi continues staring out at the horizon oblivious to the struggling bird behind her.
"Kat what's going on?" Hawks sighs furrowing his brow at Katsumi.
"I just…I think it would be best if you went back to your place for a while." Sighing, Katsumi slumps her shoulders sadly, brow furrowing.
"Why?" Hurt, Hawks flinches from her words.
"…You know why." Pained, Katsumi slams her eyes shut scowling.
"Kat." Hawks begins brow furrowed.
"Don't Kat me." Sternly, she snaps at him however…
"We've been over this." Tiredly, Hawks huffs slumping slouching his shoulders sighing.
"Hawks your feathers are flammable you saw what happened to your back." Bitterly, Katsumi snaps scowling turning to face him, pushing herself of the railing returning to the inside of her home. She crosses her arms over her chest cross.
"You won't do that to me." Resolved, Hawks states the fact firmly to Katsumi her grip tightening around her as she winces.
"But what if I do? What if I…?" Anxiously, Katsumi argues anxiety dipping down her tense tone, brow furrowing worrying. She feels her fingertips fidget anxiously around her arms as she paces back and forth.
"Hey come on stop that." Hawks sighs slowly sliding his hands on either side of her face gently guiding her down, his temple touching hers.
"…" Silently, she closes her eyes anguished. She grimaces at the memory of his back, battered, beaten, bloodied, bruised. She saw it first-hand and hated it. She didn't…she saw what he went through, she didn't want him to suffer, she didn't want him to go through that again, she saw how hurt he was, how much he hated being inside.
"I trust you Kat I know you won't hurt me." Confidently, Hawks reassures Katsumi drawing patterns into her cheeks.
"…But what if I do in my sleep or…?" Worriedly, Katsumi whispers worried staring shakily down at her hands.
"Then we'll take care of it if it ever comes to that." Hawks says softly smiling at Katsumi simply staring stunned at Hawks before her, having no real clue what to say stunned at how unfazed Hawks is.
"You…" Katsumi begins scowling gently pushing herself off him, furrowing her brow.
"Do you see any explosion?" Sighing, Hawks gently grasps hold of Katsumi's hand gently tugging her forward making her blink baffled by the gentle tug turning to him, brow furrowing.
"Huh?" Katsumi blurts out.
"Well do you?" Hawks asks gesturing to the apartment as Katsumi's ruby reds look around anxiously.
"Well no but…" Katsumi begins but that wasn't the point, the point was that she could hurt him, she could…she could…
"Then it's fine." Firmly, Hawks assures her cutting her off snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Keigo…" Katsumi sighs softly, her voice quivering, quaking trembling. Slowly, she closes her eyes pained.
"It's okay Kat everything is okay." Hawks softly says to her trying to assure her trying to tell her all is well. He hated when she was like that, he knew why or at the least had some semblance of an idea, people with her sort of quirk sure it was a flashy quirk but that didn't mean it didn't have its problems. He couldn't imagine how scared she was as a kid sure he had his feathers but they couldn't burn people, they couldn't hurt people or so he thought anyway back then…
"…" Pained, Katsumi closes her eyes anxiously at the thought furrowing her brow only then to feel her body flinch freeze from the arms around her.
"You are allowed to hug people there's nothing wrong with that." Tentatively, Hawks reassures Katsumi.
"Keigo…" Katsumi whispers softly, slowly closing her eyes as she bows her head into the crook of his neck, trying to stop the tears threatening to fall. She nuzzles into the crook of his neck, feeling her body shudder slightly feeling it calm down, be at ease as she holds him while Hawks happily hugs her back, the two holding one another, no words needing to be shed between both pros…
"Hawks don't you think you've bought a bit much?" Katsumi furrows her brow as she takes note of the shopping bags, Katsumi's ruby reds eyes the food shoved into the bags before her, furrowing her brow by the sight of the sweets stuffed into the bag. That was a lot of sweets, of course the cashier didn't utter a world too entranced by the model before her, honestly, she had hoped she could get a discount from it but of course things were never that simple. Sighing, she places the bags down remembering well the dirty look sent her way the glares given to her just from standing by Hawk's side honestly people could be so petty she never understood it. It was like back at school when Kane would crush on some random member of the band. She never understood why sure she would admit they looked okay. But Kane didn't actually know them, if he went up to them no matter how much merch he bought. They would have no clue who he was nor would he have any clue who the band guy he's been so devoted to actually is.
"What do you mean?" Hawks furrows his brow as Katsumi takes note of his feathers fluttering sharpening almost tensing up at her words.
"Hawks there's a whole bag full of sweets." Sighing, she decided to be frank about it firm, concerned for her friend, he had enough eager as it was to have this many sweets was concerning, he had been eating like this for a whole month. She was surprised he hadn't lost his arm or something…
"Girls like sweets." Smiling, he shrugs her off as her hues narrow.
"…Hawks you can like sweets too." Tiredly, she reminds him remembering well when they would go to cafes him asking her to order certain coffees that he himself was too chicken to even utter something about his image, honestly Katsumi would not get the way he fusses over something so stupid. She cared for him, she did but she just wished he wouldn't worry so much over something so trivial.
"Hey for all I know I'm helping prepare for your time of the month." Hawks huffs furrowing his brow annoyed almost at her words.
"Well if you were you'd get heat pads and pads where are those dumbass?" Dubiously, Katsumi remarks crossing her arms over her chest unamused as she looks towards the bag.
"…" Silently, Hawks gold glare glowering at her.
"Hawks I'm simply concerned that you're eating a bit much." Sighing, Katsumi gently tries to console him however his takes a step back scowling.
"You don't mind it when Fatgum does." Grumpily, Hawks huffs crossing his arms over his chest cross, puffing out his cheeks pouting.
"It's his quirk." Sternly, she reminds him annoyed at him, he knew that just as she knew how insecure he could be when it came to his quirk.
"So that's his excuse?" Irritated, Hawks snaps scowling, his feathers hardening sharpening.
"Look I'm just concerned." Calmly, Katsumi sighs brow furrowing at him.
"You're not my mother you know!?" Hawks grumbles glaring to the side seething.
"I never said I was urgh I'm just saying…" Scowling, Katsumi cradles her head combing tugging at a fair few stray strands of brown locks, scowling.
"I do brush my teeth I'm not a kid!" Hawks snaps at her.
"Could have fooled me with the amount of meat you devour. Look I'm just worried about your heart especially with being a pro and flying about." Annoyed, Katsumi attempts to explain to Hawks however…
"Urgh…" Hawks trails off brow furrowed.
"Hawks!" Sharply, she snaps at him.
"I don't need this right now I really don't!" Hawks huffs hands up in the air as he storms off heading towards the bedroom swiftly slamming the door shut, making Katsumi sigh shaking her head at the fleeting figure of the man-child, a part of her unable to not ponder…
Are you sure you're not on?
*So...what do you think is going on with Hawks?*
