"Bombarda." Briskly, the voice from the phone calls out as Bombarda places the phone to her ear, furrowing her brow by the voice.
"Ah commission I take it which one am I talking to?" Curious, Bombarda quirks her head to the side.
"Yokumiru." He answers.
"Right um are you okay?" She furrows her brow befuddled by his yawn.
"What do you mean?" Mystified, he questions.
"You're yawning a lot." She points out.
"You try working diligently thanks to the chaos you lot caused in the ward." Huffing, he grumbles.
"…Right." Bombarda furrows her brow as she saunters around her family home, spotting a fair few photographs of her younger self and her brother, most of them model shots of the two or alone another shows a framed photo of a family photo of the group smiling wearing matching accents of clothing.
"Not to mention this exam we're prepping for." Frowning, he exclaims.
"Right anyway what can I help you with?" Bombarda asks him turning her head to the side smiling softly at her father tending to the stove, she had come over to visit her little brother see how things were going for him since Kamino. She had been coming over every now and again just to check on him and her parents to see how they were.
"We thought we'd tell you, your apartment is okay now. Yes we had a team clean it up as well." Yokumiru tells her making her flinch briefly by it.
"Right…" Strained, she nods her head, internally cursing at the thought, no doubt her stuff having been nicked or worse…she couldn't help but bit her bottom lip at the thought, feeling her teeth nibble upon her lip at the thought of a strangers hands hovering all over her home, looking into certain drawers without her permission nor consent…no doubt detecting any signs of treasons or at the least trying to….
"We also wish to advise you to tell Hawks to have his suppressants." Sternly, Yokumiru tells her making her grimace glancing to the side.
"Yeah well, I would have if I was told beforehand." Bitterly, she scowls furrowing her brow at the thought. She still had no real clue about these suppressants she needed answers she knew that but even then, the topic seemed to be rather embarrassing.
"Yes well it seems the handled is now become the handler." Haughtily, Yokumiru remarks as Katsumi glances to the side seeing her mother tending to the people across from her going over this year's magazine options and such.
"I doubt that." Tense, she scowls, looking into the back, through the slide door seeing through it to see the man of the hour, her baby brother training to his heart's desire, sure he had his dream. But that didn't mean he couldn't come to visit now and again so long as he had a suitable guard on hand, hence her.
"Yeah it would be best if you kept away from him." Honestly, Yokumiru hints making her hues narrow at the supposed advise, she knew what it was, it was a warning.
"Is he still…sorting stuff out or…?" Unsure on how to word it, Katsumi ponders out loud as she glances to the side furrowing her brow tensing up at the murky memory of the blushing blonde, his heated hungry gaze glaring at her. She had no clue what was going on in his mind, she had thought he was sick but it seemed like something else, something like this…seemed more mutant than normal, when she had her parents about it they looked as lost as her so maybe it was a mutant thing…
"Oh no he's sorted out it just would be best." Briskly, Yokumiru dismisses her.
"Right thanks." Katsumi says scowling, no doubt the commission were trying to keep whatever happened under wraps, the best play Katsumi could make is act oblivious to get off their radar. She knew was on it and with Kamino that didn't help matters either nor being afflicted with Hawks…
"No problem have a good day." Yokumiru tells her before hanging up leaving her to ponder her thoughts.
"Something wrong?" Surprised, she turns to Katsuki.
"Nah just work. Speaking of you better be ready." Aloofly, she tells him smirking.
"For what?" Katsuki's scarlet narrow.
"Seems you may be getting a provisional licence." Katsumi tells him.
"You're shitting me." Katsuki's hues expand at the thought.
"Not really no." Bluntly, she deadpans.
"…Right." Katsuki bows his head furrowing his brow by the thought. Personally, she didn't like the idea of him doing such a big test so soon after Kamino being thrown into an arena like that…she knew she didn't do well when she lost her arm, so to have her brother be immediately flung into the provisional licence exam wasn't something she was ecstatic about. But she knew her brother, even if she said such things no doubt, he would assume it to be pity and get angry, resulting in a messy fight. It would be best to let him do as he pleased besides it may do him some good either way.
If he passes, he gets a licence and can be closer to his dream of being number one, plus it would be a boost of confidence, confidence her brother needs rather than this made up confidence he made out of anxiety. She knew her brother, she knew of his fake confidence and knew that maybe if he did pass, this boost of confidence could put him on the right track.
"You think you're ready for it?" Gently, she asks him worriedly on the other hand if he loses it might be good as well. It might humble him, make him look at himself through a new lens and realize where he went wrong to improve for the next exam or something.
"Hell yeah." Katsuki smirks smugly.
"That's the spirit." Smiling, she sighs at him.
"Any advice you can give me?" He asks her.
"…Don't split up I guess would be one you need all the help you can get." She shrugs.
"But I'm strong." Scowling, he crosses his arms over his chest cross.
"Strong doesn't mean you'll win trust me when I say that Katsuki." Katsumi tells him but…
"Hmph." He huffs turning his back to her.
"Also be nice." Tiredly, she tells him.
"Be nice?" Katsuki glares at her stopping in his tracks to give her a dirty look.
"All I'm going to say is this don't expect any one on one fights, a hero's job isn't always about fighting it's about rescuing just as much." Calmly, Katsumi says to him.
"…Right." Katsuki sighs furrowing his brow by her words taking it into consideration almost as she leaves him to his devices while she herself turns to leave heading off, having a meeting to tend to.
Sparky sits on Haneul's lap combing her fingertips through the dog's hair as Katsumi simply leans back against the zebra stripped sofa staring at the screen playing the game before them on screen showing some chibi hand flicking a pea as the music plays. Haneul bops her head to the melody alongside Katsumi flicking her wrist just as the fork comes crashing down, impaling said petite pea.
Haneul wears a lilac sweater with ribbons of pink straps behind it matching her shorts wearing a pair of lilac leggings beneath and a pair of vans. Her hair is in a side ponytail held together by a green ribbon. Katsumi on the other hand wears a black tank top with cargo trousers as she leans forward focusing on the beat at hand.
"Okay guys…I have an important announcement to make…" Loudly, Kane bellows boisterously stretching his arms out wearing a zebra print robe joyfully towards the two in his apartment. The shoulder of his robe slants slightly exposing his arm briefly bringing a faint ruby red tint to Haneul's prying greens glancing behind her from the announcement as Katsumi keeps her focus firmly on the game at hand in a world of her own.
"You knocked someone up?" Casually, Katsumi asks as she focuses on the melody being played.
"No!" Offended, Kane snaps sharply scowling at his boss brow furrowing.
"If you're inviting us to another drag show…" Scowling, Katsumi grumbles glaring at the screen when seeing the sad robot have a crack form on it.
"I thought you liked it." Meekly, Kane whispers bowing his head.
"Sure until you kicked your heel into Haneul's face." Frowning, Katsumi gestures towards Haneul as the song swiftly ends with an okay much to the annoyance of Katsumi.
"I had a blackeye for a week." Haneul furrows her brow at the miserable murky memory waking up in her ER was not something she had expected to wake up in.
"I said I was sorry okay!? Besides I tucked in for you!" Dramatically, Kane wails whining swiftly slamming his foot up and down earning an eye twitch from Katsumi hearing the faint echoing thud of the people down below, heavens know how they've managed to put up with him for so long, no doubt his hero status having helped him.
"Tucked…in?" Innocently, Haneul quirks her head to the side turning to Katsumi seeing her grim grave look.
"It's where…" Happily, Kane offers but…
"DON'T." Deadpanned Bombarda cuts him off.
"But…" Kane whines puffing his cheeks.
"Just say what you want to say Kane." Tiredly, Katsumi sighs exhaustion etched into her pale thinning features fatigue clear on her exhaustion expression.
"Smash or pass gen 1 leaders?" Kane gets straight to the point.
"No." Swiftly, Katsumi shuts down the idea.
"Yes." Smoothly, Kane slides over to the sofa.
"No." Strictly, Haneul refuses.
"Yeeeesss. Come on it'd be a great video idea let's go over it first before we do that." Teasingly, Kane whines draping his arm over Katsumi bringing her into a hug of sorts seeing her tense up slightly from it.
"Urgh look if we're doing this can we just kick out all the kids?" Tiredly, Haneul offers.
"Even Gary?" Kane whines.
"Yes. Even Gary." Haneul huffs giving him the stink eye.
"Fiiiine. Okay, now then thumbs up or thumbs down on each of these guys real quick, lieutenant surge thumbs up." Smirking, Kane throws himself between both girls wedging himself between them.
"Wait what?" Katsumi falters from it just as the screen shows what look like hands failing to catch some sweet.
"You heard me. I like a man with muscles." Mischievously, Kane whispers clasping his hands together, a shy steam of sweat sliding down the corner of his lips.
"And PTSD." Haneul huffs leaning forward, taking out from her pocket a handkerchief wiping away the shy stream.
"I can fix him." Kane argues annoyed draping his arm over both girls.
"No offence Kane but you can't exactly fix PTSD. Besides I feel as if you wouldn't know how to deal with him." Katsumi argues just as Haneul freezes from the touch, a heavy hue of ruby red upon her cheeks eyeing the arm draped over her shoulder, screaming internally almost at the sheer sight of such a gesture.
"I deal with you don't I?" Kane wiggles a brow bemused earning a sharp scowl from Haneul.
"…Motherfucker…" Bombarda gives Kane a dirty look just as said reporter narrowly avoids the firm fist of the ninja like wrestler she interviews.
"I wouldn't go for him he's too muscular." Haneul places her foreigner to her cheek considering it surprisingly.
"What's wrong with muscles? I thought girls loved muscles!" Mad, Kane argues eyeing the bulge of stomach fat below.
"I like personality." Politely, Haneul smiles shyly.
"That's what they all say." Scoffing, Kane shakes his head as Katsumi focuses on the fishing game of sorts taking place.
"I just feel like too much muscles can make someone look weird you know like inhuman like it's just urgh…" Haneul winces crossing her arms over her chest.
"I get that I'm like that with six-packs." Katsumi nods her head.
"What's wrong with six-packs?" Pained, Kane whines.
"You know six-packs are just people not eating enough right?" Katsumi says to Kane.
"Well maybe they just want girls hands touching the abs have you thought about that?" Smirking, Kane wiggles a brow bemused.
"You clearly have… how is that new years resolution coming along?" Amused, Katsumi remarks eyeing the monkey high fiving the pink and yellow monkeys.
"Shut up I'm getting there!" Huffing, Kane whines crossing his arms over his chest.
"He says as he stuffs his face with Frankie and Benny's." Smirking, Katsumi snickers.
"Frankie and Jerries is the only company to go for, when it comes to ice cream." Confidently, Kane states the fact firmly.
"I would agree if you weren't eating strawberry swirl." Scowling, Katsumi sneers repulsed.
"It's the best flavour!" Firmly, Kane argues.
"It's the worst flavour and you know it." Katsumi disputes.
"How dare you!" Kane gawks gaping at the girl.
"Oh come on Kane you always go with the most niche ones to make yourself think you're above." Annoyed, Katsumi argues as Haneul simply shakes her head at the two.
"You're just jealous cause you're a mainstreamer." Mischievously, Kane boasts.
"…I like mint chocolate chip." Quietly, Haneul offers nuzzling into Sparky's side happily nuzzling her back.
"…I…I didn't think that was an option." Stunned, both Kane and Katsumi turn towards Haneul frozen from the sudden spotlight on her.
"W-What's wrong with mint chocolate chip!?" Meekly, she whispers curling in on herself slightly.
"Han…mints are meant to be used for when you go out on a date with a guy so when you kiss you don't have bad breath that is their purpose not for chocolate." Calmly, Kane tells her.
"But doesn't it make it all the more tastier?" Haneul quirks her head to the side.
"No! It makes the chocolate worst!" Mad, Katsumi and Kane both bark at her.
"As passionate as ever…" Haneul sweat drops at the two despite them butting heads together the two of them were a powerhouse, Haneul knew that well even in high school, they were attached to each other by the hip.
"I'm sorry okay but it's like jam and chocolate why would you do that!? It's why I hate those bloody wheel things urgh…wagon something…" Disgusted, Katsumi grimaces shuddering from the thought.
"Wagonwheels are amazing." Annoyed, Kane huffs.
"This coming from the strawberry swirl guy." Katsumi rolls her eyes at the boy.
"It's a valid choice okay?!" Anxiously, Kane snatches said plump pillow swiftly slamming his face into it, a muffled screech spewing out of the plush pillow curling in on himself.
"None of what you enjoy is valid!" Katsumi bellows boisterously.
"How dare you!" Offended, Kane gasps lunging over swiftly slamming the leopard print pillow into Katsumi's face almost trying to suffocate Katsumi who struggles, seething snarling her curses being muffled by the material. Haneul simply sighs, exhaustion etched into her fatigued facial features, taking the controller and playing the game continuing on focusing on the screen showing a young couple on the bench, the boy kicking ball after ball…
"What?" Katsumi sharply snaps scowling at the sharp screech of the phone going off as she practically pounces upon the phone, looking towards the sleeping slumped figure of Haneul sleeping upon the hammock as she resided on the sofa, seeing said girl still sleeping much to her relief.
"….." Scowling, Katsumi could feel her hue twitch tiredly at the still silence.
"Okay who the hell is this?" Fed up, Katsumi breaks the still silence scowling at the camera.
"…" The figure remains quiet.
"If you got something to say say it." Incensed, Katsumi demands fed up.
"…Prick." She hangs up muttering it under her breath bitterly before turning back to the smooth sheets of comfort, returning to the dark depths of her dreams, ignoring the shy stream of light peering in from the bathroom.
Quietly, Katsumi stares scowling down at the array of foods proudly presented before her, recognizing the brown bags with certain logos stamped upon the three bags before her as she sleepily rubs her eyes. She glances to the side seeing her Firefly's green velvet dress shirt and trousers. Firefly's hair was loose as she droops off, her head bucking up now and again seemingly in and out of her drained daze, a small shy stream of salvia slides out of the corner of her lips. On the other hand she wears a ruby red pair and Kane wearing a leopard purple print one with green bunny slippers smoothly sliding into friend.
"Han Kat are you ready!?" Loudly, Kane yells startling Haneul.
"Urgh…?!" Grunting, Haneul perks up at the rooster roar of Kane's voice.
"Why did you wake us up so early?" Katsumi's ruby reds narrow baffled by her friend's makeup a part of her almost impressed at how quick he had done his makeup as she saw the early number upon the clock as the camera was on.
"Because you both want breakfast right?" Happily, he gestures to the bag.
"Yes?" Uncertain, Haneul mumbles meekly while Katsumi eyes the shy patches of grease stains upon the bag, ignoring her throat tightening up.
"Well guess what we're making a video." Kane dictates hands on his hips smiling from ear to ear.
"You're making a video out of us starving?" Scowling, Katsumi glares at her friend.
"Exactly." Kane grins giddily.
"Do you have a death wish?" Katsumi snarls seething.
"Well I have a plan for my funeral!" Kane winks back.
"What?" Alarmed, Haneul jolts up almost about to fall from the kitchen bench she was perched upon by Kane after slowly shuffling the two inside much to their frustration after being woken up.
"Yeah thought I told you I got a mood board, I got a whole file on what I want." Merrily, Kane swiftly slams said file down on the desk, a leopard print cover making Katsumi scowl at the rather beefy file.
"He's joking right?" Unnerved, Haneul whispers eyeing the file double the size of a dictionary.
"…" Silently, Katsumi opens the file furrowing her brow by said sculpture of him, holding his urn the base being a purple base with a music note of green and blue on it.
"Boss?" Hopeful, Han asks concern clear on her furrowed features from the song being chosen to be…never gonna give you up.
"I wanna rickroll the world!" Kane proclaims proudly cackling at the thought making the two sweat drop, Katsumi's sweatdrop while Han now awake and alert, gasps, panicked, perturbed even by Kane's words.
"Kane…the food you have for us better be fucking beautiful or else I swear to god that file of yours I will do everything the opposite way." Seriously, she snarls scowling at him.
"You wouldn't kill me!" Merrily, Kane declares determined.
"Bitch I'll toss your body off a cliff!" Cross, Katsumi snaps back.
"Hah jokes on you I want to be burnt on a boat!"
"…Why?" Kane demands.
"Why not? The Viking's knew what a good funeral was." Kane argues as they then take note of his feast idea seeing his urn be set on a boat to be set ablaze baffling them.
"Just show us the damn food."' Fuming, Katsumi orders.
"Alright here you go fast food breakfast." Beaming, Kane opens the bags but…
"…That's the worst kind of breakfast." Repulsed, Katsumi glares glowers down at the food before her.
"Okay it may be a bit fatty but…" Haneul tries to be kind but…
"No we mean it's shit. Who goes to a fast food just for the coffee?" Confused, Katsumi glares at the coffee cup before both of them.
"The coffee's not that bad." Han offers optimistically, taking a shy sip.
"…I don't have to take this assault anyway here's how things are going down I give you a question you answer right you get to eat the food." Firmly, Kane winks at the two.
"And if wrong?" Han quirks her head to the side.
"We'll take it from you so you have this!" Smiling, Kane slams some plastic on the table.
"…A salad?" Scowling, Katsumi eyes the product.
"A fast food salad." Sadistically, Kane snickers smugly.
"You monster." Mad, Katsumi glares at the smirking Kane.
"…What's wrong with salad?" Perplexed, Haneul argues making both of them turn to her.
"Who goes to a fast food place for salad?" Scowling, Kane questions her.
"…" Haneul squirms suddenly from the spotlight shining down upon her, bullets of sweat slide down her tense temple.
"Han…" Katsumi sighs placing her hand to her head.
"It makes me feel less guilty okay!?" Panicked, Haneul blurts out anxiously.
"See I'm not alone!" Kane smirks smugly.
"Look you go to a fast food place to eat shit that's how it is it's like a bar you go there to get hammered and the hangover the next day is the same as the guilt thing you get it?" Irritated, Katsumi exclaims.
"…Can we just start this?" Tiredly, Haneul huffs hands crossed over her chest.
"Sure! I originally had ten but due to being so terrified of a hungry Bombarda I've shortened it down to a few." Cheerily, Kane reveals.
"You've chosen wisely." Katsumi mutters glaring down at the salad below wincing when seeing the grease glisten off the leaves.
"Now let's start with our contestant Firefly what's your favourite place to go for fast food?" Kane questions her.
"Oh subway." Smiling, she easily answers.
"Subway!?" Stunned, Katsumi turns to her.
"What!?" Annoyed, Haneul scowls.
"That isn't fast food." Firmly, Katsumi argues.
"But they serve it fast." Frowning, Haneul disputes.
"They serve sandwiches which you make at home!" Haughtily, Katsumi points out.
"It makes me feel less guilty than eating at fatty places like macdirties okay?" Worriedly, Haneul twirls a stray strand of black between her forefinger.
"You take that back about maccies! The smoothies and chips are to die for." Firmly, Kane argues angrily.
"Please don't tell me you dip the chips into your…" Shaking, Han turns to him only to see him grimace as the still silence speaks thousands of words.
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" Baffled, Katsumi questions repulsed.
"Bombarda what's your place to go?" Smoothly, Kane changes topic making the woman sigh too tired to care.
"KFC." Curtly, she answers.
2So you like chicken?" Cheekily, he smirks.
"I like spice and they can do pretty good with spice." Scowling, she shrugs.
"Right then let's begin! What title does McDonald's hold?" Kane asks the two.
"Worlds shittest burgers." Bombarda deadpans.
"Burgerking would like a word." Han jokes lightly.
"Regardless is it being the biggest toy distributor, being the most popular chain around or being the largest consumer of dairy now choose." Kane reveals.
"A." Katsumi answers.
"B." Firefly shrugs.
"Why'd you choose B Firefly?" Kane asks her.
"It's everywhere." Haneul shrugs.
"And you Bombarda?" Kane turns to her.
"I just remember the shitty toys we used to get as kids though Fly has a point." Katsumi gestures to Han.
"Han you're wrong, Bombarda wins." Kane reveals smoothly sliding the salad over.
"Did I really lose though? Oh chili pepper!" Perkily, Haneul perks up eagerly digging in.
"There's chilli in the salad?" Scowling, Katsumi exclaims.
"Have you ever had a salad from a fast-food restaurant?" Haneul asks him.
"Course not I got there to gain fat not to lose it so I was right." Katsumi remarks.
"That's right since the creation of the happy meal maccies has become the largest distributor of toys in the world each year they distribute one point five billion toys worldwide." Kane explains.
"And they get shitter each and every year…" Katsumi exclaims as next she knew, the video had ended and she could finally head home…a part of her reluctantly as another part of her dreaded to return home…to a home that had been looked through but she brushes it aside just wanting to plop down in her own bed.
Quietly, Katsumi makes her back into her apartment brow furrowed fatigue clear on her facial features as she slides her hand to the back of her neck, rubbing patterns into her neck, trying to ease the tight tense muscles of her back.
"Ha…" Katsumi begins but soon stops herself, brow further furrowing when hearing the still silence hang heavily in the air as she squirms slightly, furrowing her brow by the strange sensation in her chest constricting around her heavy heart. What was going on? Why did she feel so…? Scowling, she shakes her head at the thought trying to brush it aside as she sighs shakily. It didn't matter, none of it mattered. How many weeks had it been since that day? Katsumi didn't know she sighs scowling down at the phone she tosses to the side, attempt after attempt at calling, messaging him and still nothing, she didn't know what to make of the shap sting to her chest she didn't…she hated it she hated this…she hated him.
How dare he make her feel like this?! She wasn't like this before, she was happy before but now…? No she was being stupid, she shakes her head, she needs to eat something that will knock some sense into her. She approaches the kitchen counter, she lived alone before she was fine, she was…she had to be, she was better than that, she wouldn't let some blonde bimbo ruin that for her…!
She was better than that. She never cared so why did she care now? She didn't know she wished she understood she truly did.
Startled, she gasps when next she knew she stares down at the massive amount of food on display, steam spewing out for what appears to be steam spewing out of the dish. Enraged, she seethes slamming her fist down upon the counter before grimacing, tears threaten to fall as she sternly slams them shut seething, scowling. She slowly slides down the kitchen counter, head in hands, hating every single second of it. What was wrong with her? What was going on!? What had that bastard done to her!? She had to stop this…whatever this tightness in her chest was she had to stop it, she would stop it and the first step to that…getting her life back on track.
Focused, Katsumi furrows her brow sat down on her chair at her desk, looking over at her paperwork brow furrowed focusing on the task at hand however her ears perk up at the soft ting of the elevator ding causing the ruby red doors of the elevator slide open revealing a bright beaming Kane.
"So….Sabrina?" Kane announces as he swiftly slams his paperwork down on the table startling Katsumi.
"You're bringing this up again?" Annoyed, her hues narrow at the smirking Kane.
"Smash or pass?" Playfully, he leans over the desk.
"Oh for the love of…isn't she like a kid? Also why are you so obsessed over who I supposedly smash?" Scowling, Katsumi demands brushing him off.
"She's 21." Smirking, Kane dismisses Katsumi.
"And how do you know that?" Worried, Katsumi questions concern clear on her furrowed features.
"I did my research for the vid." Aloofly, Kane shrugs his shoulders.
"Great…just great." Katsumi huffs glancing to the side.
"Well…smash or pass?" Perkily, Kane repeats once more just as the ding of the elevator of the ruby red doors smoothly slide open.
"I'd smash." Shrugging, the figure calls out strutting inside the office. The figure wears a loose baggy cardigan, a pale perky pink woolly one with a green dress shirt with green shorts and cotton candy leggings. She wears a pair of light green combat boots with perky pink laces.
"Han!" Katsumi scowls at her traitor of a friend gently placing her won pack of papers to her chest clutching them.
"What? She reads the future and stuff that's pretty cool." Honestly, Han shrugs her shoulders.
"You're only saying that cause you're favourite type are psychic types." Tiredly, Katsumi slumps against her seat scowling at her friend.
"And she can turn people into dolls supposedly." Kane points out.
"Wonder what a Kane doll would be like?" Curious, Han quirks her head to the side as Katsumi groans facepalming when seeing something seemingly click in Kane's head.
"One day I'll have Kane dolls as far as I can see." Sorrowfully, Kane dramatically declares proclaim it proudly.
"Yes as far as the aisles of them will hold as they are shoved to the back being put behind for Endeavor or all might dolls." Dryly, Katsumi remarks.
"You're cruel you know that?" Kane sniffles slightly.
"Hey you're the one who wants to bang a lieutenant." Katsumi deadpans.
"He has power I have a thing for it so do you!" Kane barks back at her.
"…I'm ignoring you." Katsumi bows her head focusing on the paper below.
"You can't hide from the truth Katsumi. Now then Ericka." Kane softly prods the desk below.
"Oh I'd smash." Shyly, Han answers.
"Han!" Huffing, Katsumi swiftly slams her palm down on the desk.
"What? That pretty kimono is gorgeous! I really like her design epically in let's go." Shyly, Han tries to argue but…
"Well Kat?" Kane turns to her.
"Nah." Swiftly, she denies.
"Nah!?" Han gawks gaping at her.
"She's boring." Bluntly, Katsumi shrugs.
"Yeah got to agree." Aloofly, Kane nods his head in agreement.
"How is she boring!? She's so pretty." Haneul argues.
"And that's really it." Katsumi states.
"Hell when I did her gym I genuinely forgot she existed I sweeped so fast." Firmly, Kane points out.
"Only because you had one Pokémon on your team." Tiredly, Han huffs crossing her arms over her chest puffing her cheeks out slightly.
"Still can't believe you forgot about poke balls." Baffled, Katsumi pinches the bridge of her nose exasperation etched into her fatigued facial features.
"Look Charizard and I were winning so…" Scowling, Kane tries to defend himself however…
"Wait how did you even deal with Misty?" Mystified, Haneul ponders perplexed.
"I…I think I had a clefairy maybe? Right…moving on Koga." Kane brushes the question off turning to the next trainer.
"I'd do him." Honestly, Han confesses.
"Same." Shrugging, Katsumi agrees.
"Seriously? He has a daughter." Disgusted, Kane grimaces glaring to the side scowling.
"Oh right her…" Katsumi's ruby reds widen at the memory.
"I'd deal with it." Han shrugs.
"You would Han?" Surprised, Kane exclaims.
"He's a ninja." Simply, she shrugs, a shimmering shining glint in her gleaming greens.
"That's it?" Katsumi arches a brow.
"Ninja's are cool." Haneul whispers, a faint ruby red tint to her crimson cheeks at the thought.
"That explains her poster of Edgeshot." Snippily, Kane grumpily grumbles earning a small smirk from Katsumi.
"Stooooop…" Han whines slamming her heated head into the tall towering papers.
"Look he's okay I see the appeal like he can fend for himself but with the daughter…I can see him being a dilf but...not my dil..." Dramatically, Kane dictates determined.
"I can't believe you said that." Tiredly, Katsumi facepalms at her moron of a friend.
"What? I'm just being honest." Huffing, Kane shrugs them off.
"You didn't have to add the hashtag." Han huffs giving him a side glare.
"I thought it was funny." Flimsily, Kane argues.
"…" Deadpanned, both Haneul and Katsumi glare at Kane smiling sheepishly.
"Moving on…Blaine." Kane changes the topic.
"Wait…that's an option?" Surprised, Katsumi and Han share a look lost, concern clear on their facial features.
"Isn't he like doctor Robotnik or something?" Han furrows her brow befuddled alarmed at the comparison.
"…Oh my god the glasses no wait he looks like his grandfather the one that made Shadow." Kane joins in.
"Why are you making him an option!?" Baffled, Katsumi demands.
"Look Sabrina is so why can't Blaine?" Kane argues annoyed.
"Cause he's an old man." Mad, Katsumi snaps scowling at him.
"He can still kick my butt just like Sabrina could." Kane shrugs.
"Oh is that why you like her?" Haughtily, Katsumi arches a brow bemused.
"…." Kane grimaces slightly silently staring to the side.
"Oh my god." Han stares stunned at Kane disgusted even.
"Don't judge me! Look she…" Shyly, Kane tries to argue as both girls simply stare at the embarrassed man before them trying to defend himself.
"Stop clawing that hole you dug is only going to get worst Kane." Katsumi deadpans.
"You guys are so mean…" Kane whines whimpering as he curls into the corner, tears freely falling as mushrooms seemingly growing on him as Han follows after him towards the elevator picking up the mushrooms plopping off his back. Baffled, Katsumi stares at the strange sight until green meet red as she smiles sheepishly just as the ruby red elevator doors slam shut, the two descending down leaving their boss to their own devices.
Quietly, Katsumi and Kane reside in Haneul's apartment, Kane perched upon the kitchen counter, his legs crossed over one another as he sips from the cracked coffee mug in his hand practically on death's row as Kat eyes the dangerous display just waiting for the mug to explode as the steam spews out of it.
"So…you're going to drink from that?" Warily, her hues arrow at the rather poor piece of work, Han had normally disposed of the cracked cups to see her using them was not a good sign…
"Damn right I am!" Arrogantly, Kane proudly proclaims as said cup glistens games from the glittered glued to it almost as it sparkles.
"Won't it hurt?" Katsumi couldn't help but ponder…
"Course not." Kane scoffs sipping from the sandpaper-like rim of the disco ball cup, seeing specks of shinning shimmering silver descend down hitting the ground below.
"…Right." Katsumi sighs sensing the lost cause.
"WERGHHHH!" Surprised, Katsumi jolts up at the hellish screech.
"The hell is that?" Alarmed, Katsumi scowls, her body tensing up at what sounds like a demonic demon from hell hollering.
"Oh for the…I fed her an hour ago." Annoyed, Haneul huffs entering her kitchen.
"Just an hour ago!? No wonder she's screeching like that." Terrified, Kane gawks gaping at the reveal.
"She just wants attention we shouldn't give her that." Truthfully, Haneul points out to the horrified Kane.
"Why not?" Alarmed, Kane scowls at Haneul.
"Because she'll get riled up and I'll have to deal with that." Tiredly, Haneul huffs gesturing to the cello perched upon the stand to the side, scowling seeing a fair few scratch marks on said cello.
"Oh coooome on." Kane draws out.
"You got a cup to finish." Frowning, Haneul reminds him.
"But she's starving." Kane whines.
"She is fine." Firmly, Haneul snaps scowling.
"But what if she's hungry?" Kane argues as he eyes said cat nuzzling into his ankle as he does the same to Katsumi simply staring down at the cat purring.
"I fed her she's fine." Frowning, Haneul repeats once more.
"That sound does not sound fine I make sure Sparky never sounds like that." Kane proclaims proudly.
"And you wonder why Sparky's overweight." Haneul remarks making Kane's hue twitch fuming.
"Sparky is not overweight that vet just didn't know what he was talking about!" Angrily, Kane barks back at her while Katsumi simply watches the disputing duo, too tired to deal with the two before her. He then turns away storming off picking up said cat hissing harshly at him but he doesn't bat an eye at it storming off.
"Suure." Haneul glances to the side.
"I don't have to deal with this I'm going to get a drink." Drained, Haneul huffs raising her hands up in the air done.
"…You did hide the coffee right?" Katsumi worriedly whispers to Haneul walking by.
"Yep." Han confirms.
"And energy drinks?" Katsumi presses.
"Yep." Han nods her head.
"Where did you hide them?" Curious, Katsumi quirks her head to the side.
"In the veg draw." Haneul whispers.
"…Smart." Smirking, Katsumi nods her head approvingly.
"DON'T DO IT!" Startled, both of them jolt up at the sharp screech of Kane.
"What the hell! Kane!?" Haneul demands fuming from Kane rushing towards the scene.
"What's he doing now?" Katsumi tuts under her breath bitterly brow furrowing from the scene the two walked in on.
"Kane what is…?" Haneul calls out to the man on his knees staring sadly scared at the cat before him.
"Don't take another step further!" Feebly, he argues pleadingly begging beseeching the cat.
"You got a knife to someone's throat or something?" Scowling, Katsumi questions noting his pale facial features.
"It's…Han your cat…I…I'm sorry." Sobbing, Kane turns to whimper at Han.
"Sorry about what?" Lost, Han stares down at him.
"I shouldn't be saying this but…I told you so." Kane sniffles making both Katsumi and Haneul sweat drop as he points to the window where…
"…What am I looking at right now?" Katsumi blurts out.
"Your cat's going to…we love you! I may have forgotten your name but you're adorable!" Loudly, Kane calls out trailing off as he screams at the cat lying flat on the thin frail iron barb of sorts stretching out of the wall.
"Kane…" Han sighs at the mess.
"What are you doing?" Katsumi sighs at him.
"Trying to get your car to not kill itself duh you can thank me later." Kane dismisses the two.
"He always lies there." Han argues at the sheer sight of her cat lying on the pole high in the air.
"…What?" Kane squeaks slightly stunned.
"Yeah the sun hits just right for him." Han exclaims.
"But that….how does he come back?" Befuddled, Kane questions concern clear on his furrowed features.
"Cats do land on their feet." Flimsily, Katsumi shrugs it off.
"KAT!" Kane snaps sharply scowling at her.
"Just saying." Sighing, Katsumi raises her hands up in exasperation.
"Can we please get back to the cups please?" Politely, Haneul asks.
"B-B-But…." Stuttering, Kane tries to argue but…
"Come on." Han grabs Kane's hand dragging him back far from the window while Katsumi simply shakes her head at her friends, tending to Kane before heading home…
Silently, Katsumi stares up at the ceiling brow furrowing at the supposed changes in her life consisting of a black bag with feathers shoved in this was her change? Something wasn't right but what…? Did this place always feel so spacious, so cold even? Katsumi couldn't help but furrow her brow pondering it as the music blares in her ears. What was going on with her? It felt like her normal bad day but worse…why was this happening to her? She had her medication; she had done her daily exercise so why? Why was this feeling gnawing away at her chest not going away…
"Perhaps it wasn't enough…she had been told if it got worst to get some stronger stuff but even then…that was risky. Her therapist had told her of her routine not always helping her that she would have rough days but that would be natural that to shake things up may be a good attempt and with what's going on…maybe they had a point. Maybe…maybe it was time for a change.
"Okay how about Lorelei? I'd smash a iceberg for her." Kane smirks smugly as he sits on the med bay counter, sipping some sofa as the woman with bandages coiled around her body wearing a snow white with pink accent dress tends to his injuries. The woman has brown braided hair tied into a ponytail of sorts with faint auburn accents dip dyed at the bottom held by a perky pink ribbon matching her bandaged looking leggings. a fair few sidekicks come and go greeting Bombarda, Soundspark and Kane as a fair few others reside in the med bay bedsides.
"You always did have a thing for redheads." Katsumi remarks as another attendee a man with white hair tends to her wrist, gently massaging patterns into her wrist, trying to ease the tension flowing through her wrist. The man has turquoise hair with faint accents of green matching the green and blue nurse uniform they wear while tending to their patient.
"It's not just that its that energy she got going on it's like if Sabrina grew up and matured she'd be like Lorelei." Kane continues on as Haneul sits down on one of the vacant begs, her legs crossed over the other in a meditation like pose.
"Right…" Katsumi draws out rolling her eyes exasperated.
"What about you Han?" Kane turns to her.
"She's…nice. " Aloofly, Han answers.
"Just nice? Have you seen those th-ARGHHH!" Perversely, Kane wiggles a brow before crying out unaware of Katsumi having raised her prosthetic swiftly slamming it down upon Kane's head as unfazed almost adjusted to such violence, the attendees tend to Kane leaving Katsumi to stretch her arm about, rolling it.
"Do your job dumbass!" Katsumi barks at him as Haneul walks over, rubbing patterns into her wrist trying to help her.
"I am! Ow, ow, ow… Ow, ow, it stings it stings." Scowling, Kane whines whimpering when the attendees tend to the geyser of ruby red sprouting out of his blood stained lilac locks.
"Stop squirming you're only making it worse." Katsumi reprimands him.
"…Bruno…." Kane offers making the others furrow their brow.
"We don't talk about Bruno." Swiftly, Haneul whispers making the attendees turn to Haneul swiftly stealing the slushie by her side sipping the mango cherry ice blast from the slushie machine outside, one Kane demanded as soon as the agency was founded.
"Really referencing that?" Tiredly, Katsumi sighs, the girl had been humming the song all week.
"Sorry it's been in my head all week, my nephew got into the song and well it's good." Glumly, Haneul sighs slumping her shoulders guilty.
"I always preferred surface pressure myself." Katsumi exclaims.
"Yeah that's a good song to…now come on…you know which one I'm talking about arm bands manage what bowser would look like if he were in Pokémon." Kane pleads to the two.
"He's…okay." Aloofly, Haneul shrugs.
"Just okay?" Kane arches a brow befuddled.
"Like I said I'm not one for muscles." Meekly, Haneul responds.
"What are you one for then…?" Kane leans in slightly, a glint gleaming in her greens.
"Well…I like a guy who…can make me laugh." Shyly, Haneul smiles, a cosy crimson coat dusting her cheeks smiling shyly as Katsumi and the attendee share a look rolling their eyes at the lost look on Kane.
"…That's it?" Kane blinks baffled.
"That's it." Resolved, Haneul confirms straight faced.
"Huh…" Kane leans back unaware of the glares pinned at his back from the attendees as they all roll their eyes and soon Katsumi leaves, done with being healed as she heads to the office.
Quietly, Katsumi tends to her work when her brow furrows from the sudden vibration of her phone making her furrow her brow. She takes out her phone furrowing her brow by the different number, a foreign number on display.
"Urgh again…!?" Annoyed, Katsumi scowls at the phone before her. How does this keep happening? She knew what would happen another still silence as she would demand who is on the other side, still receiving nothing in return. Han had said it was from a burner phone from the look of things but that didn't help her one bit. A burner phone normally meant it was trouble, it could be Ryoma…Katsumi tsks at the thought, she hadn't spoken to him in a while, he had gone silent after Kamino…whatever he was planning Katsumi didn't know and she didn't like it, not one…
"Giovanni!" Startled, Katsumi jolts up in her seat from the boisterous boy rushing through the elevator doors surprised both doors hadn't come crashing down from the sheer momentum used of the blue blur before her.
"Kane I swear to god!" Angrily, Katsumi places her hand on her chest heaving, sending death glares at him.
"Smash or pass." Pointedly, he remains firm, focused on the task at hand just as the elevator door dings again, Haneul entering the room once more, a file clutched to her chest.
"Urgh…money wise I'd smash so I could divorce him later." Tiredly, Katsumi slumps slouching in her seat.
"Also he's a mob boss meaning power." Perkily, Kane throws in.
"Meaning shut up." Sternly, Katsumi arises from her seat scowling at the suggestive smirk sent her way.
"Oh come on it'd be funny a hero and a mob boss like Romeo and Juliet." Joyfully, Kane offers optimistically.
"You talking about the same Romeo who lusted after a thirteen year old girl right?" Unamused, Katsumi points out.
"Uuuuuhhhh…." Kane draws out, sweat sliding down his tense temple almost buffering before her.
"Who also due to being denied by Rosaline who he tried to buy her love but was denied immediately jumped on Juliet…" Mercilessly, Katsumi continues the assault.
"…Why do you have to do me so dirty like this?" Pained, Kane whispers hurt laced in his tone.
"How did you even graduate?" Haneul couldn't help but ponder placing the file down.
"A question as old as time and like I said I'd consider it." Calmly, Katsumi tosses the phone aside as she swerves away from her desk opening the mini fridge below.
"What about you Han?" Kane turns to the girl, a pencil in her hair which she takes out to do some corrections on the papers Kane had thrown down.
"He has a son it's weird." Han shuts down the idea as Katsumi offers from the mini fridge some green tea in a soda can.
"True, true I'd pass as well. He's a bit too ordinary for me." Kane nods his head in agreement as he pops down on the corner of the desk, a leg over the other.
"Maybe you need a bit of ordinary in your life to keep you on the ground Kane." Softly, Haneul points out.
"Urgh but that's boring." Brow furrowing, Kane whines.
"And you're not getting any younger." Katsumi throws in.
"Stop! Don't say that! The wrinkle cream I've been putting on ahs been doing wonders since some of us aren't gifted with the power of secreting glycerine." Horrified, Kane cries out slamming his hands over his face furiously glaring glowering at the unapologetic Katsumi simply sipping the soda in her hand.
"Ah yes nothing quite like not being able to hug or touch anyone without the fear of ignoring them." Tensely, Katsumi points out.
"…Oh." Kane falters.
"Yeah." Katsumi confirms.
"Anyway about this paperwork…" Regardless, Haneul gestures to the papers below as the others focus on the task at hand.
Kane smiles when watching the others pack up from the top of the building in Katsumi's office staring down at those, some heading to the resident area others exiting out of the building heading to their own homes, their own spaces, their own families. He himself couldn't wait to get home, ex on the beach was on and he and Sparky were not missing that! However, he soon falters when taking note of Katsumi not moving in the slightest solely focused on the paperwork beneath her.
"You staying boss?" Befuddled, Kane queries concerned slightly when seeing the duvet or at the least blanket draped over the sofa.
"Yeah I got some work to do." Dutifully, she remarks, she had been slacking since Kamino seems only fair she'd tried to do her bit.
"Just some?" Scowling, Kane eyes the tall towering papers packed on top of one another.
"Yeah…night." Katsumi dismisses him making him sigh.
"…Night." Softly, he smiles not quite sure what to say maybe it was her medication putting her into this mood, he didn't know but he knew it best not to get in her way when she was like this so he left, leaving her to her devices just as he does, the ring of the phone goes off making Katsumi scowl. She turns to the screen only for her firm frown to falter smiling at the nickname of bomber boy swiftly answering it.
"Katsuki hey, how's the new dorm you fitting in well?" Happily, Katsumi leans back in her seat smiling softly.
"Yeah…as much as I can with these fuckers." Fuming, Katsuki grumbles glaring to the side bringing a small smirk to Katsuki's lips.
"Great how are things with spiky hair and string girl?" Smirking, she quirks her head to the side thinking of the only two friends he seems to have.
"…You were right." Katsuki sighs softly.
"Hm?" Humming, Katsuki arches a brow by his tired sigh.
"She lost her arm." Katsuki reveals, his tone trembling slightly surprising her.
"Katsuki…" Katsumi's hues soften sadly leaning forward in her seat concern clear on her furrowed features.
"Another person lost their arm because of me." Miserably, Katsuki seethes snarling, Katsumi swearing she hears the sharp slam of a fist no doubt hitting his knee frustrated from the news.
"Hey don't say that sometimes life is like that. How is she dealing with it?" Gently, she asks.
"She's…fine. Seems to be anyway." Annoyed, he huffs.
"Good so what's been going on with you then?" She tries to change topic trying to have him see on the brighter side or at the least…calm him down.
"We're making super moves." He reveals perking her interest.
"Oh yeah? Bet you're happy about your head start." Haughtily, Katsumi smirks slightly.
"I guess…" Katsumi shrugs.
"My brother being humble who are you and what have you done with him?!" Coyly, she demands from her baby brother.
"AP shot it's what I call it." Katsuki tells her.
"Oh right a focused blast right?" She catches on recalling him training said move in her training room.
"Yeah it was badass you should have seen the looks on those fuckers faces." Smugly, Katsuki boasts.
"I'm sure it was all amusing." Softly, Katsumi closes her eyes.
"How about you?" Katsuki asks.
"Aww when did you care?" Cheekily, she jokes earning a disgruntled grunt.
"When you hadn't been bombarding my phone with your stupid texts." Tiredly, he huffs.
"…Was that a joke?" Smirking, Katsumi wiggles a brow bemused.
"S-Shut up!" Katsuki harshly hisses at her.
"Hahah! I'm fine Katsuki I'm just fine." Chuckling, Katsumi snickers slightly.
"…You can tell me shit you know that right?" Gently, Katsuki sighs softly after a pause the still silence hanging heavily in the air as Katsumi swore she heard faint movement on the other side.
"I do Katsuki so you tell me did you have another nightmare?" Katsumi asks him.
"It wasn't much." Meekly, he whispers.
"Hey your fears are just as valid as any others dumbass." Softly, she whispers hearing his soft, shaky sigh.
"Just that fucker who threw you into that wall…" Seething, Katsuki snarls making her sigh.
"Yeah that was not pretty look it's fine okay? You're safe, you're protected in U.A, you'll be fine now rest up you got a big day with the exam tomorrow right?" Katsumi recalls.
"…Right." Katsuki mutters.
"You'll do just fine I know it. Night." Katsumi assures her baby brother.
"…Night." Katsuki hangs up leaving Katsumi aloe as she sighs shakily slowly closing her eyes leaning back, feeling herself beginning to drift off that is until perking up at the irritated sound of her phone making her hue twitch turning to glare, glower at her phone. She sees a familiar burner phone on said screen. Something seemingly snaps. Katsumi's sharp scarlet twitch as she releases a growling grunt, tossing the phone to the side, hearing the crisp crunch of glass breaking as before she knew it, she fell asleep to the vibrating phone's boisterous bellow.
