The intenseness of the heat caused all to fall to their knees as many continued to lose grasp of their very own life. The more that perished, the more this specter grew in power, for she is the Soul Reaver.

Since summoners no longer danced to get the departed to accept their fate, this is where this Soul Reaver's part came into play. As the souls departed from the living body, they appeared as pyerflies and in this is where the Soul Reaver guided them. Most go to the Farplane, however, very few go beyond it. Only the chosen ones are accepted into the Realm Of Souls. The reason for this is unknown and never shall that truth be brought to light because most things are better off buried in the ashes of the past, however, as Yuna's journey transpired, that very truth may be brought to light.

Haziness is what Rikku saw before her eyes as she tried to keep consciousness. Paine shook her head as she knelt down onto her knees, however, with great strength coming from within, she stood right back up. Yuna, on the other hand, couldn't stand much more of the heat was she fell to her knees. She tried to shake the blurriness from her vision as she glared straight into the flames where she then saw what appeared to be a faded figure within the flames that seemed to try and appear clearly.

"Yuna. . ." came a timid, soft voice.

Yuna focused her eyesight upon the figure as it began to appear in its true form and when Yuna saw whom she was staring at, she gasped in a frightful manner, for figure she was looking upon was none other than Lenne.

"Yuna, you must fight this!" Lenne called out to her.

Yuna sat there more confused than anything. Was what she seeing real or just a figment of her imagination. Was she hallucinating? Was she just seeing things at that moment because of the heated flames surrounding her? Then suddenly, Yuna saw yet another hue that began to form to the left of Lenne. And as that figure came into focus, Yuna was stunned even more, for Shuyin now stood before her was well as Lenne.

"Don't give up! You can beat this!" Shuyin encouraged her.

Yuna didn't know what to even think or even say as she stared upon them in awe. She thought at that one moment in time that she'd never lay her eyes upon them again, but did fate ever prove her wrong. She opened her mouth to speak, however, before the words could flow, pyerflies began to spiral around each other midst Lenne and Shuyin. Yuna stood to her feet as she watched the pyerflies as they continued to encircle each other and as they began to take on a form, Yuna was beside herself in shock as she looked upon the face that she longed to see.

"I'm here for you, Yuna." Tidus said to her softly. "Search for me and I'm closer than you think."

Yuna placed her had over her mouth as she tried to hold back the tears, which stung her eyes as they flowed freely no matter how much she tried to will them away. "Tidus?" Yuna cried as she began to approach the roaring flames before her. Tidus looked into the sadden eyes of his love and could see and even feel the pain within her. He wondered if it would be possible for him to touch her, however, he dared not at the moment. Yuna, on the other hand, thought differently as she reached out to touch Tidus' face only to be burned by the raging flames. Yuna jerked her hand back as she screamed in pain. She looked back at the flames only to see that they were now gone.

"Yunie?" "Rikku called out.

"Yuna, are you okay?" Paine shouted.

Anger flowed through Yuna's veins as she refused to answer her friends. She looked up towards the sky only to see the Wyvernhovering over all as he watched the fire destroy all below him. Without even devising a plan, Yuna switched into her black mage dressphere as she felt a strange surge of energy nearly explode within her as she then conjured up the wataga spell, however, as the orb of water began to form and grow, Yuna held it there midst the air. Larger and larger this orb of water grew. Rikku and Paine watched momentarily, totally clueless as to where Yuna got this sudden spurt of energy.

"Let's help!" Rikku suggested as she, too, switched into her black mage dressphere as did Paine. They both then cast a wataga spell as they aided in the growth of this orb of water.

As the orb of water grew to a deathly size, it soon began to shudder and quiver, which became more violently as YRP held their own with it. Suddenly, a mist of sapphire and ebony slowly formed over the orb. What appeared to be lightening danced within as the mist grew at a rapid speed, which soon spread over all of Kilika in just a matter of seconds. Thunder rumbled as rain began to fall dreadfully and as the raindrops fell upon the fire drake, vapors steamed from its mere flesh as it wrenched in pain.

A golden ray of light began to glow brightly midst the storm and as the thunder gathered into energy, it then struck down with great force as it hit the orb of water straight on. What appeared to be static electricity grew all around the orb, and as it danced around its shape, the orb began to shake more violently when suddenly the orb burst.

As the orb burst, a huge tidal wave was formed and it quickly came crashing down upon all of the village and the flames were quickly rendered asunder. The water rushed upon all and many were taken into the sea as was the Wyvern. The storm then quickly evaporated and ceased to be no more.

As quickly as the fire drake tried to surface, its very texture was dispersing. Vapors rose from its body where pyerflies soon began to glow and with one final wail, theWyvern disappeared.

What used to be the townspeople's home now floated atop the sea. Little remained to what was once known as Kilika Port. The temple was blown apart, the woods had been burned down as with the town. Where would they go? What would they do? Who would come to help them?

Paine helped Rikku up onto the platform as the both looked around at the destruction that had been bestowed upon Kilika and could not believe their eyes.

"This place will never be the same." Rikku said sadly and Paine could only nod her head in agreement.

Dona soon surfaced as she couched and hacked as she also spit sea water from her mouth. "Disgusting!" Barthello then quickly surfaced right under her, which raised her a few feet and sent her plunging back into its depths.

"DONA!" Barthello shouted out as loudly as possibly.

Dona surfaced only to smack him right on the back of the head. "You idiot!" Barthello turned and looked at Dona as he rubbed the back of his head. "Help me out of this water at once!" Barthello did as Dona told him as they both climbed upon the platform where Rikku and Paine was.

"Say, where's Yunie?" Rikku pondered as she looked around only to not see her.

"Yuna!" Paine called out.

There, floating in the depths of the water, floated Yuna's lifeless body, however, just as pyerflies were about to enshroud her very being, a bright gold light that resembled the rays of the sun began to glow all around her as it took shape of her very being. Yuna slowly opened her eyes and felt herself being levitated towards the surface of the water and as she broke through its surface, the light disappeared and she climbed upon the platform where everyone else was. As everyone turned to see her and breathed a sigh of relief, she quickly fell to her knees, but didn't lose conscious. She was just too weak to stand or even help herself as her friends quickly came to her aid.

Meanwhile, beyond the heart of the Farplane where the dimension of souls dwell, someone is not too pleased with her Gatekeeper's attempts and has sent for her at once.

The Gatekeeper knelt before her mistress who stood with her back turned towards her for the time being.

"You have failed me not once, but twice, Gatekeeper." the specter said with disappointment in her voice.

"Yes, Mistress." the Gatekeeper said as she stood up. "But I- -"

The specter turned abruptly. "SILENCE!" The Gatekeeper quickly sealed her lips. "This high summoner defeatedyour Azure Drake and your Wyvern!" She then paused for a moment. "Tell me, is this the mightiest you have?"

"No, Mistress." the Gatekeeper said.

"I see." the specter said she snaked a smile upon her own features. "Bring for your mightiest of the might. Bring forth. . .the dark one."

The Gatekeeper's eyes flew open widely. "But, Mistress, I must object to this. That creature could destroy Spira as it is known."

"Then if this summoner wants to keep her precious Spira and her loved ones safe, then she will not venture on, however, her will is too strong and she will move forward. Therefore, I want him to be waiting for her wherever she chooses to go next."

The Gatekeeper bowed down. "Yes, Mistress." She then departed as she went to send out one of her most deadliest fiends.

The specter sighed as she tossed her ebony locks over her right shoulder and tucked the hood of her cloak inward around the left side of her face. She then cackled loudly. "You shall be nevermore, Yuna, once the dark winged creature gets to you. You created your own storm. Now, you shall feast your eyes upon the eye of the raven." A sinister smile slowly played upon her features.
