Chapter 8
Regina grabbed Emma's hand as they walked through the door, which led them back to the small hallway outside the elevator, the doors opening as they approached, closing as soon as they walked into the elevator car.
"What should we do with this?" Regina asked, holding up her black heart. "Should I leave it here?"
"Don't you dare." Emma said. "It's still your heart, dark or not. I refuse to leave even a small part of you here. We take it with us and keep it safe." Emma said, kissing Regina sweetly. "I promise to always keep it safe." Emma whispered.
"I promise to always keep this safe." Regina said, resting her hand on her chest, just above where Emma's heart now beat inside her chest.
They kissed once more, as they felt the elevator slow to a stop, indicating they had reached the top. They grabbed each other's hands, Regina still holding her blackened heart, as the elevator doors opened slowly, everyone's eyes glued on the elevator as it opened.
"MOMS!" Henry screamed, rushing towards them, hugging them instantly. "Did you do it? Can you come home?" Henry asked, his eyes shifting between his mothers.
"We did it." Emma said, a smile reaching across her face, as she lifted Regina's arm, revealing her now bare wrists.
"Mom? What's that?" Henry asked, pointing to Regina's dark heart in her hand.
"That's my heart, Henry." Regina explained.
"Why isn't it in your body?" Henry asked, looking worried.
"I was actually just wondering the same thing myself." Charming said.
"It's completely dark." Regina explained, not quite ready to have this conversation. "If I were to return to Storybrooke with this dark heart, the moment I was exposed to magic, I would become The Evil Queen again. Which was what I was trying to avoid by killing myself."
"So, you don't have a heart anymore?" Henry asked, tears filling his eyes.
"No, I have a heart." Regina smiled, releasing Emma's hand so she could hold Henry's hand to her chest, the feeling of Emma's heart beating against his hand.
"I don't understand." He said, keeping his hand planted on her mother's chest.
"I split my heart." Emma explained, Henry's head snapping to meet her face.
"Just like us." Snow whispered, only loud enough for Charming to hear.
"That's Emma's heart, beating in my chest." Regina explained.
"You split your heart…to save my mom?" Henry asked, suddenly seeming so young.
"Of course I did." Emma answered, sharing a moment with Regina as their eyes met. "I would die for her."
"Let's hope it never comes to that!" Snow said, taking that moment to make her way over, hugging Emma tightly, before pulling Regina in for a tight hug. "It's good to have you back, Regina."
"It's good to be back." She said, reaching behind her to find Emma's hand once again.
"What was it like down there?" Zelena asked, from beside Cora and Elder Henry.
"I don't think that will be a story we will be telling anytime soon." Regina said, silently asking Emma to keep their adventures a secret.
"Let's just say, we probably won't be lighting any fires in the fireplace anytime soon." Emma laughed.
"Well, I think we can all agree that it's time to go home. I've had my fair share of the Underworld to tide me over for the next fifty or sixty years." Charming said, as the group agreed, filing out of the building quickly, making their way back to the fallen clocktower.
"Just give me a few minutes." Regina said, as they reached the point where they would open the return portal, motioning her head towards her parents, standing off to the side.
"Daddy. Mother." Regina said, as she approached them. "How could I ever thank you?" Regina said, tears in her eyes.
"There's nothing to thank us for." Cora said.
"All we've ever wanted was your happiness." Elder Henry said. "And it's clear, Emma makes you happy."
"No one has ever made me feel the way she makes me feel." Regina said, looking back over at Emma, surrounded by her parents and their son. "She literally died to save me during the trials. She split her heart for me. This is the real thing." Regina smiled, a stray tear falling from her eye.
"That is all we have ever wanted for you." Cora said, a matching tear falling from her eyes.
"What will happen to you two?" Regina asked.
"I think it's time we moved on." Elder Henry said, smiling at his Wife.
"It turns out, you and Zelena were our unfinished business." Cora explained. "And now that I've had the opportunity to meet and speak to Zelena, I can move on, knowing you are both safe and happy." Cora said.
"Take care of yourself, Regina. Live a long and healthy life, surrounded by friends and family." Elder Henry said.
"I will, Daddy." Regina cried, hugging her father and mother. "Before you go." Regina said, calling Henry and Emma over.
"Hi." Henry said shyly, when he and Emma approached.
"Daddy, I want to officially introduce you to the most important people in my life." Regina said, wiping the tears from her eyes. "This is your grandson, Henry."
"It's nice to finally meet you, Henry." Elder Henry said, shaking Henry's hand.
"And this is Emma, my True Love and Henry's biological mother." Regina said, resting her hand on Emma's low back.
"Emma, it's a pleasure to meet you." Elder Henry said, shaking Emma's hand.
"Emma." Cora said, pulling Emma's attention to her. "I hope you can forgive me for everything that transpired between us." Cora said, hope in her eyes.
"All is forgiven." Emma said with a smile. "If anyone knows the effects of the Darkness, it's us." Emma added, glancing over at Regina.
"Thank you grandpa. For believing in her, like I do." Henry said.
"Thank you, Henry. For being there when I couldn't." Elder Henry said, smiling. "Take care of her. Both of you." Elder Henry said, looking between Emma and Henry.
"I will protect her, with my life." Emma said, a tear falling down Regina's cheek.
"It's time for you to go, Regina. Be with your family." Elder Henry said, hugging Regina tight.
"I Love You. Both of you." Regina said, hugging Cora tight.
"We Love You too." Cora said.
Emma leads Regina and Henry back to the group, waiting silently for Regina to say goodbye to her parents.
"Everyone ready?" Emma asked, looking around to make sure everyone was ready. With tired nods for everyone, Emma pulled the vile out of her coat, and tossed it into the air.
The moment the vile hit the ground, it shattered, opening the portal that would bring them back to Storybrooke. The group quickly filed through, disappearing into the portal, Emma and Regina the last to step through. Regina looked behind her shoulder, waving one last time to her parents, before following Emma through the portal back to Storybrooke.
Emma stepped through the portal, doubling over as soon as she stepped foot onto the familiar street, holding her breath in the hopes of not throwing up all over herself. As she composed herself, she looked around, taking a head count of everyone there. Snow and Charming were tending to a green looking Henry, while Zelena attempted to walk off the nausea caused by Emma's novice portal.
"Where's Regina?" Emma asked, fear creeping into her voice.
"She's not with you?" Snow asked.
"She was with me when we walked through the portal." Emma said, looking around frantically. "Please don't tell me it didn't work."
"Mom, wait." Henry said, swallowing thickly, trying to compose himself. "We came through at this point because our souls were never separated from our bodies. But Mom's body was here while her soul was in the Underworld. Which means…" Henry started to say.
"Which means she's back with her body…" Emma looked up in horror, taking off in a full run towards the cemetery.
"Oh my god!" Snow said, as they ran towards Regina's grave. "She's in her coffin?"
"Yes." Emma said, as she ran past Regina's grave towards her vault. "But she's not down there."
Two months earlier
Emma sat in front of Regina's grave, her heart broken, the tears that refused to stop were streaming down her cheeks and onto her shirt. Regina had been dead for four days, buried in the cold ground for two, and the only time Emma stopped crying was the few hours she passed out from exhaustion.
"I need to see you." Emma cried, as she ran her fingers over the carving of Regina's name, when an idea struck her. Jumping off the ground, she rushed over to Regina's vault, making her way downstairs, quickly digging through Regina's collection of books, looking for the spells she needed.
Twenty minutes later, she had everything she needed, as she stood in the same small room that she had found Regina's body four days earlier, her blood still staining the floor. She closed her eyes and concentrated harder than she had ever concentrated before, waving her hands in front of her, as a plain glass coffin materialized in front of her, seated on a small stand. It was a far cry from the glass coffin that once housed her own mother when she fell victim of a sleeping curse, but it will do. Concentrating once more, she waved her hands one more time, this time the body of Regina Mills materialized inside the coffin, a faint sheen of a preservation spell washing over her still body.
"I miss you so much, Regina!" Emma cried, as she looked down at Regina, dressed in the flowing light blue dress that Henry picked out for her, her makeup soft, her lips painted her signature red color. "I can't do this without you." She cried, her tears falling on the glass that separated their faces, resting just inches above Regina's closed eyes, the sound of her cell phone ringing in her pocket pulled her away from Regina's coffin.
"Hey, Henry, what's up?" She asked into the phone, stepping away from Regina out of respect, listening to Henry's response on the other end of the phone. "I just needed to clear my head. I'll be back in a few minutes." She said, hanging up the phone, turning back to Regina. "I'll be back when I can. If I can. Getting out of bed is so hard, knowing you're gone." Emma said, as she turned around and left the vault.
It would be another two weeks before Emma could get out of bed long enough to visit Regina again.
"Mom! Where are you going?" Henry called after Emma, as she ran towards Regina's vault.
"Henry, come with me!" Emma yelled, as she pulled open the doors to the vault, pushing the stone coffin of the man she met moments ago in the Underworld, and ran down the stone steps.
"Mom, what's going on?" Henry asked, as he followed Emma deeper into the vault, leading him into the small room where Regina's body still stayed, as if no time had passed. "Mom!" He yelled, rushing towards Regina's coffin, knocking lightly to try to wake her up. "What is she doing here?" Henry asked, looking over at Emma.
"I moved her here a few days after the funeral. I needed to see her." Emma explained, trying to push the cover off the coffin. "Help me." She said, motioning for Henry to help her with the cover, laying it gently on the ground.
"She looks like she's asleep." Henry said, staring down at Regina's body.
"Regina. Wake up." Emma said, gently shaking Regina, her eyes still closed. "Why won't she wake up?" She asked, looking up at Henry with desperation.
"Kiss her, Mom!" Henry said, his eyes bright with hope. "Maybe you have to kiss her."
Emma leaned in, gently cupping Regina's face, kissing her softly on the lips. The moment their lips touched, Emma could feel her heart start to beat in Regina's chest, her face growing warmer under her touch, pulling away as Regina's eyes fluttered open, a deep breath filling her lungs.
"Emma!" Regina whispered, her eyes shining as she looked deep into Emma's eyes. "You found me."
"Did you ever doubt I would?" Emma asked, a smile reaching wide across her face.
"Mom!" Henry said, reaching for Regina's hand, squeezing it tight, as Regina sat up.
"Henry!" Regina said, pulling her son into a tight hug, tears of happiness welling in her eyes.
"She did it. She saved you!" Henry said, looking over at Emma.
"It was a joint effort." Emma laughed, offering Regina a hand as she attempted to climb out of the coffin, stumbling a little once her feet hit the ground. "Let's get out of here. I wouldn't mind never coming into this room ever again." She laughed, as they slowly made their way out of the vault, locking the door behind them.
As soon as Regina stepped foot out of the vault, Snow's arms were around her, hugging her tight.
"Welcome home!" Snow said, a slight crack in her voice.
"Thank you, Snow. And everyone. Thank you for risking your lives to save me." Regina said, looking around to the group, as she attempted to peel Snow off her.
"Well then. You're home safe. What now? Do we have a big party? Sing Kumbaya?" Zelena asked, the usual annoyance evident in her voice.
"I think we've all had enough excitement for a few days. Why don't we all go home and get some sleep. We can have our big party tomorrow." Charming said, his eyes already heavy from exhaustion.
"Yes. That sounds like a good idea." Regina said, discreetly glancing over at Emma. "Plus, I think I should talk to Robin. I think there's some things that need to be explained. Killian too. As much as I dislike the handless wonder, he deserves an explanation." Regina added.
"Yeah…well…" Emma stammered, glancing over at Henry.
"Killian left town the day after you died. He didn't even say goodbye, just took off in the Jolly Roger." Henry explained.
"I knew I never liked that guy." Charming laughed, as they all began walking out of the cemetery towards the center of town, going their separate ways.
"I think I should go alone to talk to Robin. I don't want to seem like I'm flaunting our relationship in front of him." Regina said, as they reached the edge of the forest, about fifty yards from Robin's campsite.
"Good idea. Take Henry with you though. Just in case you encounter someone between here and home. It'll be less of a shock to see Regina alive if Henry is there to explain the situation." Emma said, jokingly punching Henry in the arm. "You cool with that, kid?"
"Of course. We'll see you at home, Mom." Henry said, as he and Regina turned around to enter the woods, Regina's arm around his shoulder.
Emma watched until they disappeared into the dense forest before turning around and heading back to Mifflin Street to wait for her family to return.
Robin was sitting around the fire when they approached, idly poking at the fire, deep in thought, as Henry walked over to the fire. Regina held back, not wanting to startle Robin too much.
"Hey Robin, do you have a minute?" Henry asked as he approached the fire.
"Henry? Yes of course, what do you need?" Robin asked.
"Can you follow me? We don't want to draw too much attention." Henry said, Robin's face showing confusion, as he followed Henry away from the campsite.
"REGINA!" Robin yelled when he saw her waiting for him. "You're here! Are you ok?"
"Yes. I am alright. I am more than alright!" Regina smiled, as she hugged Robin, Henry indicating he would wait for her a few feet away, just out of earshot. "Robin, we need to talk." Regina said, as she pulled away from Robin.
"Yes, I suppose we do." Robin said, the shock of seeing Regina again wearing off.
"I'm not sure how much you know about what happened…between Emma and I." Regina started, noticing the hurt expression that was already evident on Robin's face.
"I know you two shared True Love's Kiss, which broke the curse of the Dark One." Robin said, his voice low. "I suspect there is more."
"Yes. There is." Regina said, taking a moment to compose herself. "Would you like to know?"
"The abridged version will suffice." Robin said.
"Alright. Long story short, Emma, along with her parents, Henry and Zelena, traveled to the Underworld to find me, and Emma was able to save me…with True Love." Regina said, her eyes shifting to the ground, unable to make eye contact with Robin.
"I see." Robin said.
"Robin, I'm so sorry. I never intended to hurt you." Regina said, after a few moments of silence.
"Did you ever Love me?" Robin asked, his voice low.
"Yes, of course I did." Regina said, reaching out to touch Robin's arm.
"But you Love her more?" He asked.
"It's different." Regina explained, pausing to find the right words. "Robin, when I met you, I had just said goodbye to Henry and Emma. I watched as they drove over the town line. I could feel in my heart the exact moment they both forgot who I was. I never thought I would see Emma again." Regina explained.
"Does she make you happy?" Robin asked, after a few moments of silence.
"Yes. She does." Regina said. "But, so did you. It's just…" Regina started to say.
"Different. I understand." Robin said. "I don't like the outcome, but I do understand."
"I'm so sorry, Robin. I really am." Regina said.
"I know and I do understand, Regina." Robin said, composing himself. "I wish you both the best." He said, a small smile on his face.
"Thank you." Regina smiled, as she hugged Robin one last time.
"Now go. Be with your family. I'll see you around." Robin said, motioning to Henry, who was still waiting.
"Thank you, Robin." Regina said, as she turned around to meet Henry, wrapping her arm around his shoulders as they made their way back to town, leaving Robin to return to tending to the fire.
It was already getting dark by the time Regina and Henry arrived home, the air growing cooler as the sun set. Regina let out a sigh of relief when she walked into the house, relieved that everything appeared as it had been while she was still alive. It didn't take long for an unfamiliar smell to invade Regina's senses, pulling a face of disgust.
"What is that smell?" She asked, as she closed the front door.
"Oh that." Henry laughed. "I think Mom's cooking."
"Oh dear." Regina laughed, as they rushed into the kitchen, just as the smoke alarm started to go off, smoke billowing out of the open oven. "Emma, what on earth are you doing?"
"I thought we could have a nice family dinner when you got home, to celebrate your first night home." Emma said, as she tossed the charred cookie sheet into the sink. "I burned the garlic bread." She said, frowning.
"That was supposed to be garlic bread?" Henry asked, poking the burned bread. "Coulda fooled me." He laughed. "Did you burn it or set it on fire?"
"You have no idea how NOT funny that statement is, kid." Emma said, her eyes suddenly sad, as she looked at Regina. "And if you don't watch yourself, I'll make you eat that!" Emma said, flicking Henry's ear.
"I'm just a child! You wouldn't do that to me. It's bad enough you're going to make me eat your cooking." Henry laughed. "I'm so glad you're back, Mom. Now I can get a decent meal." Henry laughed.
"Very funny kid. Now you get to set the table." Emma said, as Henry quickly grabbed the plates and silverware needed for dinner, rushing out of the kitchen to set the table. "I'm sorry I burned the garlic bread." Emma said, wrapping her arms around Regina.
"Don't be. Everything smells delicious." Regina said, kissing Emma quickly.
"Don't lie." Emma laughed. "I just made some spaghetti. Nothing special."
"It's our first meal, as a family." Regina said, her eyes shining as she looked deep into Emma's eyes.
"I'm so happy you're home. I missed you so much." Emma said, kissing Regina again.
"Eww! I don't know if I can ever get used to THAT!" Henry scoffed, interrupting their moment.
"Deal with it, kid! Because we're only just getting started." Emma said, pushing Henry back out of the kitchen, carrying the bowl of spaghetti and sauce into the dining room, followed by Regina.
"So, what else did your mom cook while I was away?" Regina asked, halfway through dinner, when their light conversation came to an end.
"Well, nothing really." Henry said, his demeanor changing. "Mom couldn't get out of bed much while you were gone." Henry said, looking over at Emma. "She cried most of the time." He added, looking down at his plate.
"Is that true?" Regina asked, turning towards Emma, reaching for her hand under the table.
"It's been a really hard two months." Emma said, a stray tear falling from her eye.
"I'm so glad you're home, Mom." Henry said, losing the battle against a deep yawn.
"We've all had a really exhausting couple of days. Why don't you head up to bed." Emma said to Henry, his eyes getting heavy.
"No, it's ok. I want to stay up and spend time with Mom." Henry said, refusing to go to bed.
"I'll be here when you wake up." Regina said.
"You promise?" Henry asked, suddenly seeming so young.
"I promise!" Regina answered, watching her son struggle against exhaustion.
"Ok. I am really tired." Henry said, standing up and walking slowly over to say goodnight to his mothers, before quietly walking upstairs to go to bed.
"I'll clean up here. Why don't you go lay with him for a little while? Like you used to when he was little. I'm sure he would really like that." Emma said, stacking the plates to bring into the kitchen.
"Are you sure?" Regina asked.
"Of course! Go, spend time with Henry. I got this." Emma said, pushing Regina towards the stairs, watching as she slowly made her way upstairs to their son's room, before returning to the kitchen to finish cleaning up.
A little while later, Emma made her way upstairs, stopping by Henry's room to peek in, taking in the sight of Henry curled up in Regina's arms, both sleeping soundly.
Regina woke up to the sound of Henry lightly snoring in her arms, a sound she would never get tired of hearing. She slowly untangled herself from her son, and made her way quietly out of his room, closing the door behind her, before she headed towards her bedroom, hoping to find Emma there.
"Emma?" She asked, as she walked into her bedroom, seeing signs of Emma everywhere she turned. Piles of clothes in every corner, shoes haphazardly kicked around the room, the bed was left unmade, all screamed Emma Swan. Regina smiled to herself at the thought of Emma Swan living in her bedroom.
"In here!" Emma called from the bathroom, making her way out to meet Regina. Her hair was wet and she was already in her pajamas, a plain white t-shirt and plaid pajama pants. "Sorry, I just took a shower. Give me a second and I'll get out of your hair." She said, walking quickly, trying to pick up the clothes on the floor.
"Wait, you're not staying?" Regina asked, clearly disappointed.
"I was going to go sleep in the guest room. I wasn't sure if you wanted me to…" Emma started to say, clearly a little embarrassed.
"I want you to stay." Regina smiled, wrapping her arms around Emma's neck, kissing her sweetly, wincing slightly as her wrists landed on Emma's shoulders.
"What's the matter?" Emma asked, as soon as she registered Regina wincing.
"It's nothing." Regina said, as she pulled her arms down, pulling up the sleeves of her dress, revealing her wrists. Deep, red angry cuts covered them, no longer bleeding, but not yet begun to heal.
"Regina! Your wrists!" Emma said, gently grabbing her hands, inspecting the deep cuts.
"It's nothing. It looks worse than it is." Regina said, shyly.
"We need to get these looked at. You probably need stitches." Emma said, concern in her voice.
"No! No, it's ok. I don't want to make a big deal of it. And I don't want Henry to know or see them." Regina said, looking ashamed.
"They didn't even try to make them look better when we…" Emma said, unable to finish the sentence.
"I guess the funeral home didn't see a need to put stitches in dead skin." Regina said, her voice low. "They're really ok. They just hurt a bit."
"Ok." Emma said, looking into Regina's eyes. "Will you at least let me clean and dress them?"
"Sure." Regina said, sitting at the edge of the bed, while Emma disappeared downstairs to retrieve the first aid kit.
They sat in silence as Emma gently cleaned Regina's wrists, carefully making sure every inch of the tender flesh was clean, taping small bandages over the wounds, covering them completely, while trying to remain discrete.
"How does that feel?" Emma whispered, as she placed a soft kiss on each bandage.
"Much better. Thank you." Regina whispered, gently cupping Emma's face. "Thank you…for everything."
"You're welcome." Emma said. "It's not like I had a choice. Living without you wasn't an option." Emma added, tears welling in her eyes.
"Let's go to bed." Regina said, wiping the tears from Emma's face. "Will you help me unzip my dress?"
"Of course." Emma said, standing to help Regina back to her feet. "Henry picked it out. We both agreed that we couldn't…bu….bury you looking like her . We wanted you to look like the Regina we knew." Emma explained, as Regina turned around, pulling her hair to the side. "We forgot to cut your hair. Sorry." Emma said, as she started to unzip Regina's dress.
"It's ok. I always liked my long hair when I was younger. My short hair started after I cast the curse." Regina said. "The dress is beautiful." She said, taking a deep breath as Emma slowly unzipped her dress, holding the front to her chest.
As she slowly unzipped the dress, Emma began to caress the perfect soft skin of Regina's back, mesmerized by the perfection of the woman in front of her. Without thinking, she slowly began to kiss Regina's back, making her way slowly to Regina's neck, leaving soft kisses in her wake. Regina leaned into Emma's touch, reaching behind her to lace her fingers into Emma's damp hair, pulling the blonde closer to her, a soft moan falling free of her lips.
"Emma…" Regina whispered, breathing heavy.
"Mmm." Emma responded, not taking her lips away from Regina's neck.
"I want to make Love to you." Regina whispered, pulling Emma closer to her.
"We don't have to rush into things." Emma said, pulling away from Regina for a moment. "We have plenty of time."
Before Emma could return to kissing Regina's neck, Regina pulled away. Turning to face Emma, she let the front of her dress fall, the garment falling to the floor, revealing her naked body, undergarments clearly something overlooked by Storybrooke Funeral Home.
"I think we've waited long enough, don't you?" Regina said, pulling Emma closer again, pulling her in for a deep, passionate kiss, running her hands up the bare skin of Emma's back, under her thin t-shirt. "Unless you want to stop."
"Don't. You. Dare." Emma whispered, pulling Regina back into their kiss.
Their kiss ended only for a moment, just long enough for Regina to pull Emma's shirt over her head, tossing it to the side, as she stepped out of her dress, now pooled at her feet. Regina pulled Emma closer once more, their breasts pressing against each other for the first time, their shared heart pounding in their chests, as Regina slowly lead Emma to the bed, following her as Emma crawled to the center, Regina straddling Emma, as Emma pulled her in for another passionate kiss.
Regina pulled away after a few minutes, both out of breath, as she started to kiss down Emma's body quickly, stopping to run her tongue over Emma's hard nipples, before continuing to make her way down Emma's body. Without skipping a beat, as soon as Regina reached Emma's pants, she quickly pulled them down, along with her cotton underwear, tossing both to the side, before dragging her tongue back up Emma's body, ending in a deep passionate kiss, as she slowly began grinding against Emma.
"Have I ever told you how amazing you are?" Emma asked, pulling away from their kiss, cupping Regina's face gently, gazing deep in her eyes.
"I'm only this way because of you. Before you came into my life, I was a very different person. You made me a better person." Regina said, tears welling in her eyes.
"You've always been a good person, Regina." Emma said, wiping the tears from Regina's eyes. "You just had a lot of shitty things happen to you." Emma answered.
"I Love You." Regina said, running her hand down Emma's body, pausing to softly graze over Emma's swollen clit, before swiping a finger through her wet folds, a deep and throaty moan escaping Emma's lips.
"I Love You so much, Regina." Emma said, as her hips began to sway with the rhythm of Regina's fingers.
Regina continued to gently caress Emma's clit with her thumb, as she slowly began to insert a single finger into Emma's vagina, causing Emma's eyes to roll into the back of her head, and her back to arch off the bed, before suddenly grabbing Regina, rolling them both onto their sides.
"Emma, wait." Regina said, as Emma pulled her left leg over her hip, opening her up to Emma's touch.
"Together." Emma said, gently caressing her swollen clit. "I want our first time to be together, not one at a time." Emma whispered, shifting closer to her.
Without another word, Regina smiled, as she returned her attention back to Emma, the two quickly falling into a rhythm, their eyes locked on each other, as their bodies moved as one. Their lips met, as they slipped their fingers into each other, slowly thrusting in a shared rhythm, their lips muffling the moans that slipped out. They took their time, savoring in each other's touch, as their orgasms slowly began to build, each thrust bringing them closer and closer to climax.
They tumbled over the edge together, their bodies shaking as their orgasms ripped through them, their eyes locked together the entire time, screaming each other's names, unable to stop themselves as they were caught up in the moment, not concerned with waking Henry.
"I can feel it." Regina said after a few minutes, as she laid in Emma's arms, their bodies tangled with each other.
"What?" Emma asked, her eyes never having left Regina's.
"How much you Love me." Regina answered, placing Emma's hand on her chest. "Every time your heart beats inside my chest, I can feel how much you Love me." Regina said, tears once again filling her eyes.
"I can feel you too." Emma said, moving Regina's hand to her own heart.
"Our heart beats match." Regina said, kissing the top of Emma's hand, placing it back on her chest.
"It's the most amazing feeling in the world." Emma said, kissing Regina softly. "I've been dreaming about this moment since the first day I met you."
"Me too." Regina said, pulling Emma closer to her.
"Do you know what the best thing about it is?" Emma asked.
"What's that?" Regina asked.
"We get to live this moment, everyday, for the rest of our lives."
