Water ran down the road way that once connected The Thunder Plains and Macalania in unison. The forest was melting fast. Water had also began to gather in Bevelle and rise near O'aka's Shop and it also began to cascade down the mountain side and into the gorge where the Celsius was being repaired.

"Are you prepared to die on this your last moments of living?" Tristen asked

Yuna bravely stepped forth, stopping only inches from Tristen. "I have survived many battles, you pathetic hussy. Sin fell before me and before me did HE fade away like a dream vanishing when one awakens. Vegnagun fell before me as did your elemental friends. And you, Tristen, will fall before me. My face will be the last thing you will ever lay your eyes upon as your Mistress of Deaths calls forth your soul and returns it to where it came from!"

"Is that a threat!" Tristen asked sarcastically.

Yuna shook her head. "No! That is a promise I intend to keep!" Gippal slowly awoken and Paine and Rikku helped him up to his feet. They stepped to Yuna side, ready for battle. Yuna looked to her friends. "Step back." They looked at her a bit confused. "This is personal now." She then looked back to Tristen as her friends stepped aside as they were asked to. "It's just you and me now. One on one."

"What is Yunie thinking?" Rikku whispered amongst the group.

"Yuna's strong, but even she has her weakness and we all know what that is." Gippal said.

"Spira, her family and friends. . . and him." Paine added.

"And let us not forget that he is the reason Yunie began this search." Rikku said.

"Well, whatever the reason, we've came too far to turn back now. And if things get too far out of hand, I'm jumping in and kicking ass." Paine said as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Who's with me?"

"We'll I'm fighting!" Rikku chirped.

"So am I." Gippal said.

"Good! Let's wait for our cue." Paine said.

Both sets of eyes narrowed in anger as both swords were raised and brought forth. Metal collided against metal, both girls staring each other eye to eye on the other side of their blades. Great force was pressed against the swords as Yuna tried to force Tristen back who returned the same favor to Yuna. And with a violent shove, they both broke free.

Tristen instantly struck at Yuna who fended her off only to do a back flip into a side ariel, striking at Tristen. Steel collided with steel as the sparks flew. Tristen forced Yuna backwards as the swords continued to clang into each other. Yuna spun around, kneeling down and slashing her underside, however, missed as Tristen struck down only to miss herself, for Yuna immediately grabbed the blade of her sword, holding it high above to ward off her nemesis' attack. Tristen growled out as Yuna managed to push her backwards only to bring her sword forth against Tristen's. The blades glided against each other as Yuna and Tristen exchanged places only to strike at each other yet again.

"Give it up!" Tristen demanded through short pants.

"Never!" Yuna said.

They both studied each other, watching every little move that the other made. Tristen narrowed her eyes, spinning her sword, which began to gather energy and glow a bright aqua. She then brought her sword forth, striking the ground, which instantly began to tremble when suddenly spider webbed shaped creases formed in the ground, which instantly broke free and began to fly towards Yuna. Bringing her blade forth, Yuna blocked her attack, for the jagged ice crystals hit the blade and shattered instantly. She spun her sword around, bringing it to her side, ready for Tristen's next move.

"By the power vested in me- -" Yuna began. " I will slay thee, Tristen!"

Tristen narrowed her eyes at Yuna who then raised her sword high above her head. A flash of light flickered vigorously. She then struck downward, causing the flickering light to glare upon the blade of her sword as it turned into a hue of cyan. And with narrowed eyes, Yuna made haste, dragging the blade of her sword along the surface of the ground as if to gather energy, for the glowing hue of cyan began to shine brighter and brighter. Tristen's eyes widen as Yuna brought her blade upward, slashing her.

And without a moment to spare, the hue of cyan gathered around Tristen and instantly grew, forming an orb around her. Horizontal and vertical lines of crimson, jade and violet wove around each other, crystallizing before her as pyerflies appeared and danced all around. A bright orb flashed forth, flickering brightly with all is might when suddenly a bright flash of jade nearly blinded everyone and that's when three swords appeared, and in this, was none other than Brotherhood. All three aqua blades instantly shot forth, forming into one, and without a second to spare Tristen cried out, for Brotherhood had been pierced through her back, which protruded out through her chest. Tristen looked down at the blade of the sword, grasping it firmly. Blood ran down the blade only to drip off the end. Blood began to escape her mouth as she fell to her knees. She soon lost grasp of life as she took her final breath.

Without any feeling what so ever within her heart, Yuna walked forth, stepped behind Tristen, grasped Brotherhood and jerked it free from the lifeless body it was buried in, which fell over. Yuna glared upon Tristen, looking to the blade of Brotherhood as she put her own sword away only to take her hand, grasp the blade of Brotherhood and wipe it free of Tristen's blood.

"Go back to where you came from!" Yuna spoke to the lifeless corpse before her. She then turned to her friends who did not know what to say or make of her newly found attitude. "What?"

Tristen's lifeless body began to squirm. . . Her eyes slowly opened. . . A soft growl escaped her lips. . .

"Yunie- -" Rikku began as she stepped forth, however, upon taking the third step, she stopped dead in her tracks. Yuna narrowed her eyes at Rikku who's own eyes widened widely. Paine gasped as Gippal could only stare.

Tristen's body staggered to its feet, gaining balance while slowly rising. . .

"What's wrong?" Yuna asked.

"Yunie. . ." Rikku began nervously.

"Behind you." Gippal said, pointing behind her.

Not sure if she should turn around or run away, Yuna slowly turned and instantly gasped once she laid her eyes upon the being behind her. She backed away a few steps.

Tristen's body began to jerk about in violent shakes. Her eyes began to glow a dark crimson as she flung forward with a loud growl only to slowly rise and glare at Yuna and her friends "My amalgamation. . ." she began with a sly smile. "shall reunite within all of Spira."

"What is she talking about?" Gippal pondered while scratching his chin.

"The elements!" Yuna spoke up and said, looking to the sea of fire above. "She's going to unleash all."

Rikku immediately reacted by tuning into her headset, ordering Brother and the others to get there with the Celsius on the double. Yuna held up Brotherhood, withdrawing the blade of Veracity as well and readied herself for one of her toughest battles yet. Paine also withdrew her blade and readied herself for action while Gippal withdrew his hand guns, spun them around his fingers and took aim. Instead of striking, Tristen just stood there and bared an evil smirk upon her face when suddenly her skin, facial features, limbs and everything began to turn into a gel like substance and ooze to the ground.

"The bitch is melting!" Paine said in shock while lowering her blade.

"No!" Yuna said "She's seeping into the ground!"

Within a split second, Tristen had oozed into a puddle of a gel like substance that seemed to be glued to the ground where it then began to slowly seep into Spira's crust. After dissolving completely, all hell immediately broke loose for the ground began to tremble and quake and everyone was thrown to the ground. The sea around all of Spira began to rage with huge, violent waves. The wind howled and blew with such force as the sky turned a very dark ebony, smokey grey clouds rolled in and all around with lightening dancing all around within. The sea of fire that hovered over all of Macalania shattered like glass only to fall like rain and that's when all began to melt at a very rapid pace. Yuna and her friends somehow managed to come together in unison, however, could barely maintain their balance. They had to get out of there, for the burning rain that fell burned their very skin. The water was now at a deathly level. Therefore they all joined hands and held on to each other for dear life.

"Everyone hold on!" Yuna shouted. "Do not let go of the person you are holding on to!"

"Where's Brother!" Gippal shouted in question.

"This Celsius is still being repaired." Rikku brought to everyone's attention.

"WHAT!" the other three yelled in unison.

"I am so kicking his ass once we board!" Paine said, looking down at the rising water that surrounded them.

"RIKKU!" Brother broke through and shouted over the headset. "Hold on! I am on my way!"

"Better hurry!" Gippal shouted to him. "We've not much time."

"We've no time!" Paine shouted! "Here it comes!"

Everyone turned only to see a huge wave coming right down upon them. Screams were let out though were quickly muffled out. Everyone held onto each other as planned, however, as strong as one was, someone lost grasp of the other and was washed away with the violent waves that had appeared from the rising water.

Seconds later. . .

Rikku quickly surfaced, throwing her wet, golden strands from the front of her face. She coughed, panting deeply as she looked around. Gippal surfaced a few feet away and once he saw Rikku who quickly swam over to her.

"Are you okay?" Gippal asked.

"I think so!" Rikku said. "Where's Yunie and Paine!"

Paine surfaced off in the distance and once Gippal and Rikku heard her, they swam over to her the best way possibly, for the huge body of water was full of violent waves. The fiery rain had came to a stop, however, things remained a nightmare in itself.

"Where's Yuna?" Paine asked as she looked around.

"I lost her." Gippal slowly said with regret.

Rikku instantly narrowed her eyes in anger as she looked at him. "YOU WHAT! GIPPAL!" She immediately splashed water at him out of anger and Gippal tried to shield himself from Rikku's wraith.

"Stop it!" Paine demanded and they looked at her. "We have to find Yuna! Where did you loose her?"

"Under water." Gippal said.

"She could be anywhere." Paine said as they all looked at the enormous body of water that surrounded them.

An eerie silence befell the group as they all looked about in a panic, not knowing where to search first or where to go when suddenly something burst through the surface of the water. The trio gasped as they looked to their right only to fade into small laughter, for O'aka was coughing and spitting water from his mouth.

"Me shop!" O'aka gargled. "Me shop! She is gone!" Upon hearing laughter behind him, he quickly turned, nearly slapping his hat off his head while brushing the water from his eyes. "What ye doing here, lads?"

"Trying to stay alive." Gippal stated as a wave rushed upon them.

"BARALAI!" Paine shouted as she swam passed everyone and over to Baralai who laid face down in the water just floating. She quickly turned him over and observed him only to look up as the Celsius flew over head only to make a U turn while the door was opened the rope ladder lowered. Gippal grasped the ladder as it swung by, ascending it a little ways and as he looked forth his eyes flew open wide.

"Guys, we better make haste!" Gippal shouted. "Here comes a big one!"

There, heading straight for the Celsius was yet another huge tidal wave extending upward at a near 300 feet high. Brother looked towards the wave, his eyes widening as his pupils dilated. His mouth dropped open only to let out a girlish wail of cries and screams, which nearly cost Rikku her hearing over the headset.

"BROTHER, TAKE OFF!" Rikku demanded as she grasped Gippal's arm who pulled her up onto the rope ladder. "Paine, come on!"

"What about Baralai?" Paine shouted.

"Come on!" Gippal shouted as he ascended the ladder to the top, helping Rikku along the way. Paine began to climb upwards as did O'aka, however, lost his grip and fell back into the water. And without a moment to spare, the Celsius shot forth. Paine reached out and grabbed O'aka by the hand who kept a death grip on Baralai who also went air born with the rest of him.

"He sure is heavy for a girly man." O'aka tried to joke.

"Less talking, more climbing!" Paine urged.

Faster and faster they tried to climb, however, the wave was even more faster, for it was inching its way closer and closer to consuming the airship underwater. Brother put it in high gear, which in turn could possibly cause the engine to overheat at any given moment. Coming forth and curving over, the wave began to fall inward. The Celsius was only inches from being completely taken under by it, too. And in a near death attempt, Brother pulled up and got out of the way just as they wave came crashing down, causing the Celsius to spin and twirl out of control and all Rikku and the others could do was hold on for dear life.

"I am going to kill that Brother of yours, Rikku!" Paine shouted.

"We're not related!" Rikku yelled over all the excitement.

Out of no where, the Celsius began to tremble and the alarms began to flash and sound off loudly within, for the engine was overheating, which instantly caused it to take a nose dive towards the water below.

"The engine blew!" Brother shouted over the headset.

Try as he may, the Celsius continued to dive downward. Brother pulled up on the controls while Shinra sat there typing away at his computer calm as ever and Buddy was just plain speechless, for he thought his fate was sealed. The Al Bhed aboard the ship rushed to try and repair the overheating engine and by sheer dumb luck, it started back working.

Barely skimming the surface of the water, the Celsius pulled up, swerving along the top of the water at a rapid pace. Everyone somehow managed to climb aboard and enter the Bridge. Paine and Gippal took Baralai to the cabin.

"Stay here with him." Gippal said to Paine as she sat down on the bedside next to Baralai.

"Is he alive?" Paine pondered. Gippal assured her with a soft nod of his head and a smile played upon her grim features. "Find Yuna."

"Roger on that." Gippal said as he sprinted from the cabin.

Moments later. . .

The search for Yuna was underway. Rikku stood atop the Celsius calling out Yuna's name as she observed from the top. Gippal hung out below on the rope ladder, scanning the top of the surface for any signs of her or anyone else who may have survived.

"YUNIE!" Rikku shouted. She looked forth and all she could see was the angry waves clashing into each other. "Brother, go lower!" Doing as told, the ship was lowered near the surface of the water. Gippal was only a few feet from the surface below.

"Yuna!" Gippal shouted as well.

Rikku examined everything to her left and as she turned her head to the right she saw a luminosity shining brightly in the distance. She narrowed her eyes trying to examine what it was only to widen them. "Brother, full speed ahead! Head towards that light!"

"ROGER!" Brother yelled and the Celsius went forth even faster.

Paine came atop the airship and made her way over to Rikku. "What is that?"

"We're about to find out." Rikku said.

Nearing the vibrant, glowing light, Rikku ran towards the front of the ship followed by Paine and they both gasped loudly. "It's her!"

There, floating within the glowing light, was indeed Yuna and not a hair was out of place. Yuna smiled at her two best friends as the Celsius came to a stop underneath her and she was gently lowered onto it. The light then vanished within her as Paine and Rikku came running up to her.

Rikku met her cousin with a warm embrace. "I'm so glad you're okay!" She then released Yuna, looking at her only to gasp. "Yunie. . ." she began. " . . . . . . .your eyes. . . ." Yuna narrowed her eyes, utterly confused by her cousin actions. "Yunie, your eyes are blue!" Yuna just stood there speechless as did Rikku and Paine.
