Hey, guys. Look who's back with full force. I took a long look in the mirror and just tried to rediscover myself I guess you could say. My world has been spinning out of my control and I came to realize that if I didn't control it that it would. I had lost control and its time to take it back! Well, enough of that. lol Here's an update for everyone.
The Celsius continued to shake, rumbling like thunder. Brother was more confused than what he normally was, Shinra sat at his computer still calm as ever trying to find more data about that mysterious dressphere while Buddy tried to help maintain control of the ship. Shinra hit a few more buttons and once the data appeared he stopped dead in his tracks.
"This isn't good." Shinra said in a low voice while reading what was on front of the screen,
"What's not good?' Buddy asked.
"That dressphere!" Shinra began. "It's dangerous!"
"What!" Brother shouted.
"It summons apparitions!" Shinra replied.
"Appra-- what?" Buddy asked.
"Ghosts, spirits, phantoms!" Shinra said. "It calls forth the souls of the after life!"
"You were right! It's not good!" Buddy said.
"It tries to destroy the person it has possessed." Shinra added.
"Why?" Buddy asked.
The Celsius rumbled loudly while still quaking violently and just as Shinra was about to finish up the data analysis, the screen went blank. Angered, Shinra slammed his fists against his keyboard, nearly cursing.
"Well?" Buddy continued to question.
"I don't know!" Shinra shouted. "The screen went blank before I could finish reading! I'll try and get it back!" He began to fumble with his computer, trying to get it to work.
The fog hovered over all, thick and mysterious. Everyone looked on in terror at the dark image that began to approach them. The fog at its feet departed while it stepped forth as if to clear a path for it. With its eyes glowing an eerie, dark crimson, it stepped into view, revealing its dark crimson cloak that covered absolutely nothing underneath or so it appeared. The fog dispersed out into the distance.
Although the fear and terror was high within their hearts, the group of friends stood together, ready to battle this mysterious being, which in turn stopped only a few feet away, glaring upon their features. It looked around an once making eye contact with Yuna it stopped and narrowed its eyes evilly at her.
"Seraph!" the creature called Yuna who was most certainly bewildered by the name. "I have come for your soul! Surrender it to me now so that I may take it to the Mistress of Death."
"And if I refuse?" Yuna gloated.
"Then suffer the consequences." the creature said.
"Then suffer it shall be!" Yuna said with a raised eyebrow.
Furious by her words, the creature howled out yet again. Whispers transpired down around all. Yuna and her friends looked all around, expecting to see something, however, nothing was there. A swarm of pyerflies spiraled inward around, ascending high into the air before coming to an abrupt stop only to dash towards the group of friends.
"It comes!" Paine shouted
Just before nearing Yuna and the others, the pyerflies came to an abrupt stop in midair. They watched in astonishment as the dark figure before them then jumped, colliding with the pyerflies and a vigorous light erupted from within. Misty vapors of crimson, jade, ginger, and ebony wove around and all about when suddenly the colors disappeared and the figure within fell to the ground, landing on its feet. Rising slowly, the group was in utter shock and horror at what stood before them because never in the history of Spira had they seen such a mysterious creature.
It's cape flowed in the wind created by the Celsius moving swiftly through the air. While moving its arms away from its chest, it exposed a skeletal feature with a burning heart midst its chest. The burning heart burned like the setting sun and was three times as hot. It's glowing eyes of garnet, it skeletal facial features, and from its mouthed oozed a green substance that appeared to be slime. As it glided from its jaw and fell to the Celsius below, it began to eat away at the paint and vapors rose.
Finding themselves speechless and frozen with fear, the group watched while the figure began to mysteriously tremble and without a second to spare its mouth flew open and out spewed the green slime, which almost looked like vomit. Yuna and the others wasted no time in getting out of the way just as the ooze like substance came in their direction and landing to the Celsius below. They stopped and turned around only to see the ooze take on a gel like form and from within this gel rose several blobs, which immediately took shape, forming arms and legs and facial features. With their glowing eyes of gold and sinister growls, then began to slowly approach Yuna and the others.
"What in the name of Spira are those things?" Baralai asked.
"Blob gobs?" Gippal suggested.
"That'll work." Paine said
"HA!" Rikku shouted while she hopped forth and got into fighting position. "Come on, blob gobs, or whatever you things are! You're going down!"
"Wait!" Yuna shouted and all eyes were on here then. "Something's not right about those things. What if our weapons are powerless against them? They are a gel like substance."
"You're comparing those things to a flan?" Gippal asked and Yuna nodded her head. "You could have a point there."
"Where's Lu when you need her?" Rikku asked
"She's not here! We'll have to deal with the situation the best way possible." Yuna said.
"We'll handle those blob gob things." Rikku suggested. "Try your sword magic on Mr. I'm So Ugly I Don't Even Have A Face over there." With a small chuckle, Yuna nodded her head and headed for the mysterious ghoul.
The monster immediately struck at Yuna who done a back flip only to land on her feet. Withdrawing Brotherhood and Veracity, she spun Veracity around only to strike forth, causing a tremor below, which shook violently. The ghoul looked below, puzzled at what was happening and without a second to spare a light appeared just below his feet, which erupted and sent him flying through the air. Yuna closed her eyes, gliding the blades of Brotherhood and Veracity together when she suddenly slashed outwards, which released a thunderous beam of energy that instantly shot forth and struck the being, shocking him to his very bones so to speak. He fell, landing with a hard thud before Yuna. Staggering to his feet, he glared at Yuna.
"Guys, we are getting no where fast!" Paine shouted as she continued to slash the blobs, for when she slashed them, they would fall apart only to create more.
"We have more now then what we had started with." Gippal said.
"Did you go to school just to figure that one out?" Rikku asked. Gippal looked at her and she only smirked.
Shinra continued to bang on his keyboard and press every button he could, but to no avail. he could not get back the information he had found about that dressphere and without any knowledge on it, who knew the chaos it could bring forth.
"It's no use!" Shinra shouted in anger. "I can't get it back!"
The ship shook violently. "What that!" Brother shouted. Eerie whispers and whistled appeared out of no where. And in fright, Brother jumped to his feet and began to dart around like a scardy cat." YUNA! Yuna, save me! Save me from strange voices that come to haunt me!"
"What a woos." Shinra said while watching Brother.
A blob gob was struck by a flare gun and instantly squealed out while it melted into the ooze it once was. Gippal chuckled proudly as he took aim and yet again shot another one.
"I knew this gun would come in handy for something." Gippal said.
"What is that" Rikku asked.
"Just a little invention of my own. You see, Shinra isn't the only one with a brain." Gippal said
"Funny." Rikku said rubbing the bottom of her chin. "You didn't seem to have one till O'aka boarded the ship. Did he sell you one?" Gippal eyed her curiously with a small grin on his face. "What is that thing called anyway?"
I call her Flarku." Gippal said, spinning it around on his finger in order to show off in front of Rikku. "Like it?"
"It's quite something." Rikku said.
"Good!" Gippal said, reaching a Flarku to Rikku. "Come on, partner. We've some shooting to do."
Switching into her gunner dressphere, Rikku took the gun, twirled it around only to aim and shoot at three of the blobs, taking them down instantly. "It's all in the wrist." She smiled at her accomplishment. "OOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!" She grabbed her butt, turning and looking at Gippal.
"And it's all in your ass, too!" Gippal teased.
Rikku face turned a shade of crimson as she pulled her panties from the crack of her butt. Gippal laughed, but his laughter was cut short, for Rikku took her foot and nailed him right in the groin. Gippal grunted loudly and fell to his knees, holding himself.
"Not enough balls for the job, Gippal." Rikku teased. "See if O'aka has an extra set he's willing to sell ya." She then patted him on the shoulder and went to aid Paine and Baralai.
Yuna continued to get the better of the ghoul before her. She struck forth, only to move quickly towards the left to dodge a blow and kneel down and slash his underside. However, that's when things took on a different turn, for no sooner than Yuna stood up did that monster grab her ankle and take her feet out from under her, sending her backwards. Yuna's head bounced off he top of the Celsius hard, her swords scooted across the top and was out of her reach. With his cape flowing in the wind, the ghoul straddled Yuna, kneeling down and grabbing her throat.
"Now!" The ghoul spoke. "I shall relieve you of your purity." Yuna tried to force his hand from her throat, but to no avail. Leaning up, the ghoul grasped the burning heart that burned within his chest and jerked it out, held it high above his head and thrust it into Yuna's chest. Yuna screamed, distracting everyone's attention when suddenly, her body went limp, her eyes rolled in the back of her head and her screams were silenced. The being then howled out, cackling sinisterly as he stood up. "At last! Her soul belows to The Heart of Altessa!" He then held the burning heart high above his head when suddenly the heart began to tremble within his hand only to burst open, releasing the soul it had captured within. "WHAT!" the ghoul shouted. He then turned only to see an orb of pearl floating over head and as it lowered itself, it darted straight into the ghoul, overtaking it within its light. The ghoul howled out in anguish as it slowly evaporated into thin air and the remained blob gobs disappeared as well.
Rikku, Gippal, Paine and Baralai watched speechlessly as the orb of pearl floated over to Yuna's lifeless body. It hovered over her momentarily before speaking. "Arise, my dear, for they have no hold on you." Suddenly, Yuna inhaled deeply, opening her eyes while exhaling. Everyone looked at each other than back at Yuna who was helped up to her feet by the strange glowing orb that floated before her. You narrowed her eyes in bewilderment, stepping back as she studied the light before her. And all eyes widened once she laid eyes on whom was within that light.
With swirly eyes of jade, long flowing trestles of gold with several braids in the front to accent her soft facial features. Her warm smile was enough to take even your darkest hatred away and soften the hardest of hearts. Her flowing baby blue dress with a plunging neckline that was outlined with white roses and completed her look.
Yuna shook her head. "It can't be."
"But it is, my daughter." the woman said.
Yuna's heart fell heavy. "Mother?"
"Yes."
Silence befell all. A tear escaped Yuna's eyes, for she longed for the day she would see her mother again face to face. There were so many things left unsaid and undone. Just to see her, just to hear her voice brought pure joy to her heart.
Yuna ran forth, hoping to feel her mother's embrace, however, fate was cruel, for as she rushed into her mother, she landed against the cold steel below her. Yuna pushed herself up, standing with her back turned towards her mother.
"I love you." Yuna said with a heavy heart. She then turned and faced her mother who was smiling at her.
"And I you." her mother said while floating over to her.
"You're not real, are you?" Yuna asked saddened.
"But I am." her mother assured her. "I am as real as the sun in the sky and the stars and the moon. I am the air that you breath, I am the wind that touches your cheek. I am every where you are."
"Why- -" Yuna began
"Why did I come?" her mother finished. "The time to act it at hand, my daughter. The Spiral of Death has once again taken grasp upon all of Spira. I know you have seen this. The souls of the dead are weary and restless. They seek resurrection as does the one you seek to bring life to."
"Tidus." Yuna said and her mother nodded her head. "I don't understand."
"The sphere that harbors his soul is the key to his resurrection, but it comes at a price." her mother stated.
"Name it." Yuna said.
"Your life for his." her mother said and Yuna's eyes went wide. "Although a wonderful thing, the Shrouded Spirt is not what everyone thinks it to be. You see, that very sphere that you carry with you was created by the very soul that is trying to stop you."
"The mistress of death." Yuna said.
"Yes." her mother said. "She was in love with a soul of the after life just like you are now. They could never be together and she knew this. Therefore, she took her own life and journeyed with him to the Realm of Souls. A place that dwells beyond the heart of the Farplane. Only certain souls with a certain uniqueness about them can enter there. Upon journeying there, she allowed him to devour her soul, making it nothing more than a corpse as you might say, which in turn allowed him to become a being of great power. He left her behind stating that for her to become one with him, she must become the Soul Reaver, sucking the very world dry of souls. Only when she had obtained certain souls, could she venture forth in search of her love. Time passed and she soon gave up hope. Saddened by her own separation from her lover, she created that dressphere. And whom ever obtained it, would suffer the same fate as did she long, long ago."
"How do you know this?" Yuna asked.
Her mother merely chuckled. "You learn many things when you cross over, my daughter."
"So, that explains why the mistress of death is trying to stop me from being with Tidus. She and I share a common goal. We both want to be with the men we love, but since she can't be with him then she won't allow me to be with Tidus." Her mother nodded her head. "It all makes sense now." She then stepped forth before her friends. "TO THE FARPLANE! We've some ghostly ass to kick!" Everyone nodded in agreement. Yuna then turned around only to find her mother gone.
"Yunie, come on!" Rikku encouraged. "We've no time to waste." Everyone ran below and with self assuring nod of her head, Yuna headed below as well.
