Yoruichi was awoken by her flip phone ringing next to her ear. Her eyes shot open and the surprise made her nearly choke on her own spit that had been developing in her mouth over the night. She pounded on her chest to get the spit unstuck from her throat, and eventually got it unstuck in time for the ringing to end.

She picked up her phone and opened it and saw two missed calls from Aizawa. Having just then awakened and not all too eager to deal with an angry Shouta, she immediately called back and waited for him to pick up.

The wait was short, and she was on the phone with her teacher/guardian immediately. She yawned, cutting off his voice before he got a chance to speak, then spoke quickly after to avoid having to hear whatever he was about to say.

"School doesn't start for another hour, and I live thirty minutes away on foot. What do you want?"

"Get your uniform on and come out to the car. We're headed there early." Immediately then and there he ended the call, leaving Shihouin a limited timeframe to get dressed and put the door.

She nearly slammed her phone on her nightstand when the call ended and threw off her blanket. Yoruichi stood out of bed, mumbling obscenities at Aizawa who wasn't present, for waking her so early in the morning, no time for a shower or even breakfast.

Yoruichi groggily walked over to her closet and began to undress herself from her sleepwear. She didn't bother to take of her undergarments, instead choosing to put her uniform over what she slept in. She was able to slip into her skirt with little hassle, and initially put her shirt on backwards before fixing it. Her uniform jacket was the one thing she refused to finish all the way, choosing to leave it unbuttoned.

The only thing she grabbed on her way out of her room was her phone and apartment keys. She left her hairband sitting on the kitchen counter, deciding she was too tired to tie her hair into its normal ponytail fashion. Her hair was a long and frazzled mess, showing nothing but extreme bed head from the top of her head to her mid back where it ended.

She left her apartment, closing the door and walked towards Aizawa's black Toyota. Her vision was hazy from her sudden awakening, but she was sure she saw Aizawa scrutinizing her as she approached the car.

"So..." she heard her teacher start when she opened the car door. "I didn't know you had a cat."

"Hmm? Yeah, I found him on the street a week ago," she finished with a yawn.

"Does he have a name?" He asked, clearly suspicious of the girl.

Yoruichi shook her head. "No," she answered wearily. "Can't think of one yet."

Aizawa huffed in response. "Button up your jacket," he said, Yoruichi complying but taking her time.

"Is that the whole reason you woke me up so early? To talk about a cat?"

"No," Shouta answered. "I wanted to talk about what happened yesterday."

"With the whole goose chase or the dead man in a dumpster?"

"Both, actually," Aizawa replied.

Having spent too long in the parking lot of her apartment complex, he had begun to drive to the school. Yoruichi, as much as she could, listened to the man through her sleepiness.

"Regarding the 'goose chase' as you put it, do that again and there will be hell to pay. The only reason you aren't in any trouble is because the commissions pulled their weight around-"

"Just for little 'ol me?" She teased, rolling her eyes.

"Yes, and no," her teacher answered. "You are one of their main focus children. Because you're with the commission you'd typically be training with them in their private grounds. But because you're at U.A., we're forced to share any grades you get with them. Which includes your battle training."

"So they liked what they saw?" Yoruichi surmised.

"Aside from you stripping down to your skin, yes. Because you're currently in their spotlight, they muscled their influence over the police force and you aren't in trouble. So consider yourself lucky. Not to mention, if you keep acting up they'll deem me to be unfit as a guardian, and not only replace me but pull you from U.A. and you have no idea how eager they are to do that."

"I understand," Shihouin replied lazily, choosing to lay down in the backseat to recover on sleep.

While the words did process in her mind, she was yet to fully understand the weight of these words. Maybe when it fully comes around to bite both of them in ass she might, but for now they held no meaning.

"As for the body found, how are you just so casual about that?" He asked, turning the car onto the main road for the school.

"Meh," she groaned. "It's not that big a deal. Don't get me wrong, it sad to see that someone had passed and I wish it didn't happen," she continued with a great yawn, "but what can you do?"

"That doesn't address my question."

"I don't know then," she answered. "Maybe it's just yet to process in my mind. Maybe I'm desensitized to that kind of thing or maybe I have more of a stomach than most kids my age." She did her best to restrain laughter with that last part. Lying about her age and what she really is wasn't as hard as she thought it was, but sometimes it was difficult to keep a straight face.

Aizawa on the other hand was trying to process how she would be desensitized to such things, with that being the only known exposure to death he knew about. He was tempted to ask, but instead held his tongue. He thought it would be better to keep that piece of dialogue close to his chest than question it.

"Are you sure your okay after that? That's all I'm asking-"

"Jeez, now you're up my ass about that? If you were any-"

"Language." He also didn't want her to finish that sentence lest it get any more inappropriate than her mouth.

"Tch."

"I've already talked to the other staff about that. They're all just as concerned or baffled by how unfazed you were by that."

Yoruichi laid her arm over her eyes as she herself laid down across the back seats. She huffed as she tried to rest. "What does this have to do with waking me up early? It couldn't have waited?"

"I wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to talk to you about this in school or after. You're always the first one out of the door."

She lifted her arm to give him an annoyed glare. Even though he couldn't see it he could feel her eyes bore into the back of his head. Yoruichi rested her arm back over her face to block out the sun, hoping to gain back the twenty minutes of sleep she lost.

The rest of the class had begun to arrive about twenty minutes after her arrival. The first two to arrive early were Tenya and Tsuyu, the former of which commended her for showing up early compared to everyone else. Her early arrival had seemed to make Iida forget yesterday's absence, but Asui had decided to ask. The story she gave was vague, but enough to stop or prevent any questions being asked.

They talked for awhile amongst themselves, up until more began to show. Only a few minutes later Bakugo and Eijiro showed up, the latter pestering the former constantly until attention shifted to her. Bakugo seemed more angry at her than normal.

After those two the rest showed up one by one, only a minute or a few behind the other. Some came up to her to ask where she was yesterday, others made comment on her out of the normal hairstyle, either not caring to ask where she was or forgetting she was absent. To those who asked she gave the same vague story

"By the way, your the class Deputy President," Kaminari told her, leaning over from his desk to reach her ears.

"That's allowed? I wasn't even here."

"I guess it is," Kyoka answered. "No one said it wasn't."

Yoruichi quiet exhale. "Who even voted for me?"

Right out of the corner of her eye she saw Mina, who was looking right at her, raise her hand in response. Of course she had, she probably thought Yoruichi would've done the same for her. And she might have, depending on her thought process.

"So it was just Mina?" Yoruichi asked, "All the other votes went to our president?"

Slowly, she saw Yaoyorozu raise her hand to shoulder height. "I... may have also voted for you."

"That's a surprise," Yoruichi replied, brow raised in curiosity. "Speaking of presidents and their lieutenants, or whatever you wanna call them-"

"Midoriya-kun got the most votes for president-" Kaminari answered before being cut off by the Shinigami.

"You're kidding?" She tiredly exclaimed, humorous surprise in her voice. Shihouin did her best to repress any laughter into a light snicker.

"I'm serious!" Kaminari laughed in agreement. "But he gave it up after lunch to Iida."

"Why'd he go and do that?"

"U.A. was broken into by the press and Iida was able to calm down the crowd. Midoriya-kun gave the position up to him because of that."

Yoruichi trailed off into thought. "So that means..." her vision went over from Kaminari to Iida, who was talking to Uraraka. He hadn't noticed her staring yet. "I'm answering to him?" She asked, slightly agitated.

"It can't be that bad," Jiro reassured. "It's not he has absolute authority over everything in this classroom."

"Yeah," Yoruichi agreed. "Still, he's bound to take this too seriously."

"Probably," said Kaminari.

As Denki finished the door slid open, and as usual Aizawa was the last one in class. 'Do other classes' teachers come in late?'

"Everyone, get your costumes on and meet me in front of the school," he ordered, not even having reached his desk yet.

Everyone shared a curious look. The slots for their costumes came out of the back end of the room, each presenting a briefcase with a number on it. The students flocked to the wall to grab their case, then exited the room to the locker rooms.

Yoruichi had already slipped into her one-piece and began to strap on her greaves and gauntlets. She had her hair tucked down into the back of her vest to avoid her accidentally stepping on it.

She sat alongside Yaoyorozu and Asui while the other girls had already begun to leave the locker room. The moment she snapped on her second greave she looked towards Momo.

"Yaoyorozu-chan, you think you could use your quirk to make me a headband?" She asked.

"I suppose," Momo agreed. "It shouldn't be too hard."

Asui was zipping up the rest of bodysuit. She looked towards the Deputy Representative, more specifically her leg and arm guards. "Shihouin-chan, I've been kind of curious, but why have armor on your legs and arms like that when your chest protection basically amounts to a bulletproof vest." She finished with a loud, frog-like croak and ribbit.

"First off, you don't have to use honorifics with me," she said. "If you want to you can just address me by my first name. Second, my armor-" she held up her gauntlet by its wrist plates, waving it in the air, "- is supposed to function more like a weapon than protection."

"Don't you already hit hard enough? Ribbit." She questioned, remembering back on her sparring match.

"That was with these on," Yoruichi reminded her.

"I know," Asui responded. "So if it's supposed to be a weapon, what's it called?"

Yoruichi went bug eyed for little more than a second. "O-oh, I think I remembered submitting them under the name 'Hierro'."

"'Hi-ero'?" Asui did her best to repeat the foreign word. Even if she did so successfully, the meaning would be lost on

"Hierro," Momo corrected, doing her best not to come off as a know-it-all. She finished the hair-band for Yoruichi and gave it to her, getting a 'thank you' in response. "It's Spanish for Iron."

"Bingo," Yoruichi added with the hair-band between her teeth. She pulled out her hair from her suit and started to fashion it into a ponytail.

"I didn't know you knew Spanish," Yaoyorozu commented.

"I- uh... I don't," she admitted semi-truthfully. And then the lies began. "I went to google translate and typed it in. I thought Hierro sounded cool, so... I picked that."

"Oh..." Yaoyorozu commented. Shihouin couldn't tell if Momo was disappointed or not, so she added some extra information for the girl.

"I can read basic Chinese though. Can't speak it – at least not well – but I can read it well enough."

"Ooh!" Yaoyorozu noted excitedly.

"So that means you can speak Spanish?" Yoruichi asked.

"N-no," Momo admitted as well. "Well, sort of. Technically. I know a few words, but beyond that I don't know any more of the language."

Yoruichi finished tying up her hair, and looked at Yaoyorozu out of her peripherals with a small smile. "And you looked disappointed in me for not knowing," she whispered under her breath.

"We should catch up with everyone else. Ribbit." Asui advised, standing from her seat and tightening her goggles.

Shihouin finally strapped on her last gauntlet and stood from the bench. She knocked on her greaves to ensure they were strapped properly, then followed Asui out to the bus.

Before even checking the seating structure for the bus, Iida had begun directing students to fill in as if it were the normal seating arrangement. Shihouin knew what he thought the inside was like, and to be fair she had thought the same thing as him until she stepped on the bus. The only ludicrous thing about Iida's thought process was that he thought most of the class would listen to him. Out of all the people she thought would, she picked out Izuku, Ochako and Momo. Perhaps Bakugo, if only to get Iida to stop pestering him (yet knowing him, Katsuki may just push back out of spite).

Shihouin sat at a window seat, with a sectional-like design. Her back was to the window and in her seat faced the inside of the bus. Izuku sat at the very end of the seat, his face directly looking at the back of Bakugo's head. Iida sat next to him only a few inches away, and Ochako next to Iida doing her best to console him. On the other side of those three sat Asui and Mashirao.

On the opposite end of the bus, just across the aisle, sat Kyoka Jiro, Kaminari Denki, Fumikage Tokoyami and Hagakure Tohru. The rest sat with Bakugo behind Yoruichi's seating or closer to the front near Aizawa.

"So where are we even going?" Shihouin asked.

"U.S.J.," Asui answered her. Shihouin looked confused, and Mina who was listening in spoke up.

"Universal Studios Japan?" She queried, a confused finger on her face.

"That's in Osaka," Izuku commented. "It's called the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. It's an extension of U.A. and connected to the main grounds directly."

Iida broke out of his sulking with a shining look on his face. The topic at hand seemed to go completely over Iida's head as evidenced by the next few words out of his mouth. "Shihouin-chan-!"

"Just Shihouin is fine. You can call me by my-"

"Shihouin!"

'Never mind, then,' she thought to herself.

"As my deputy representative I believe it to be imperative that we have a way of communication in case of emergencies!"

"Do you ever calm dow-"

"Is there a way for me to contact you should I need to?"

"I can give you my phone number, if that works?" She offered.

"That should do just fine. We can do that once we get back U.A. proper."

"Works for me," she said in response with the shadow of the U.S.J. looming over the horizon. Slowly she began to tune out the sounds of students chattering in favor of focusing on the building oncoming.

Shihouin had been in this world for a little close to a year at this point. She had adopted its weirdness into her life as much as she could while thinking back on the one she was shot out from. She always wondered if there was a way back. Of course she could sulk and wallow in tears of all that was left behind, or choose to ride it out here until everything fell into place.

If there was a way back, either she would find it, or it would find her. And if not, she could only do her best to move on.

The U.S.J. was bigger on the inside than it looked on the outside. The walls formed a barrier between the inside of the dome and the outside of the campus. The arena sunk almost a good few hundred meters deep into the ground before being met with concrete. Over top of the class of twenty and their teacher was a large glass ceiling that formed a dome over the whole area.

Shihouin and her class stood at the top of a large staircase that lead downwards. From the top they could easily see the whole terrain of the joint. Four distinct areas depicting four different disasters.

The two closest to them were placed left and right of the bottom of the stairs. The left hand side was a scene of an urban disaster, as if an earthquake had struck a large city and left it in ruins. On the right was a yacht that sat stationary in a large pool of water. That scene was most likely to depict a lost at sea rescue, or a shipwreck of some kind.

On the far end of the Simulation Joint were a mountain and fire zone. On the right side which was lit ablaze eternally, Shihouin saw a large series of buildings which, of course, were lit on fire. What that was supposed to simulate was quite obvious. The mountain scene was too, with its high rocky peaks (or as high as they could be within reason) making it easy for some to get stuck or easily lost.

Aizawa stood at the front of the group, directing their attention to the stairs and away from the disaster simulations. At a moderate pace, a hero wearing an oversized space suit approached the class.

"Today class, we'll be training in disaster rescue. Leading today's class, will be '13'."

"Thank you for introducing me, Aizawa-kun!" 13 exclaimed. "Yet, I was told that All Might would be joining us today. Is he running late?"

Right, the class had been told All Might would be joining them. Shihouin had heard Aizawa mention something like that when he was finishing up as she boarded the bus. Mina must not have been paying attention if Izuku had to clarify where they were going.

"Probably," Aizawa growled, cracking his neck by rocking it side to side.

Acknowledging his words, 13 approached the class. Most of them seemed excited, yet none more than Izuku. "As you have already been told, I am 13," the hero said. "Today we will be practicing and training in disaster rescue. While all of you have very powerful quirks, some of which may excel in combat, fighting villains is not all you will be doing." 13 put her hand out, presenting her pointer finger out to the class. "My quirk is called Black Hole, and has the potential to do extreme harm and even potentially kill others if I'm not careful. However, I used my quirk to specialize in disaster rescue despite the dangers of my quirk."

Continuing with the lesson plan, 13 continued to speak, shifting to a more relevant topic for the day. "There are four distinct zones which you will be assigned to. There is the mountain zone, fire zone, flood zone and earthquake zone," she finished, listing all four visibly on her fingers. "I plan on splitting you all into groups of five and rotating you-"

Without warning the atmosphere had shifted; it had cut 13 off mid sentence. The lights short circuited, making them flicker on and off repeatedly for a few seconds.

"What the hell is that?" Yoruichi thought aloud.

Aizawa and 13 were on high alert. They scanned the whole of the U.S.J. and eventually stopped upon setting their sights on the dead center of the room.

Thirteen had her hand to her head, looking as panicked as she could under the massive suit she wore. "I-I can't contact the school!"

The attention of the students focused to the source of the change as well, which happened to be a large black colored blight surrounded by a purple edge. From it emerged a lanky looking man with a gloved hand over his face. He had sky blue hair and wore pants and a long sleeve shirt that matched in color.

Only seconds after another figure exited the portal. Beside lanky man was a hulking behemoth of a creature. It's skin was pitch black and easily stood over six feet tall. A beak was placed where its mouth should be, its eyes nearly bulged out of it's sockets and the creature's brain was exposed to the outside as its skull cap was smoothly removed. The only clothes it wore was a pair of cargo shorts that nearly bulged from the muscle of the monster.

"13, protect the kids!" Aizawa shouted, this time sounding more serious than usual.

The black portal disappeared from the center of the arena and reappeared just in front of the crowd of students and their two teachers.

They stared into the black mist, and two glowing, yellow eyes stared back down at them. "All Might is not here yet," He commented in a deep echoing voice. "At least we get a warm up."

"Who the hell are you!?" Everyone heard Bakugo shout at the villain.

"Where are my manners," he replied condescendingly. "I am Kurogiri, and we are the League of Villains."

"Just three of you?" Yoruichi noted, looking back at the man and monster in the center of the compound. "Should be easy."

If the floating mist in front of them could smirk, he would. All across the U.S.J. several different portals opened up. Some in the center and some in the rescue zones. Dozens of Villains leaked out of the black portals, completely outnumbering the students by a landslide.

"At least you've made it fair-" suddenly she felt the back of her body suit be jerked back as she and the rest of the class were being guided to the door. She looked at Bakugo who looked equally as eager to fight as her.

"He's blocking the exit!" Aizawa shouted, suddenly releasing Shihouin to fall forward.

She caught herself quickly, regaining balance before her body was fully committed to fall. "Careful!" She shouted.

13, in a panic, released the tip of her index finger on her glove. She activated her quirk and actively began to suck away Kurogiri. It was less than a second when her quirk was used against her. Kurogiri opened a portal behind 13 and her own power was being used to harm her. She was too panicked to stop. Soon her suit was torn apart, exposing her flesh to be violently ripped away from her.

When the first small chunk was torn away from the Hero, she reappeared beside Shihouin in less than a second.

"You okay?" The young Shinigami asked the hero.

"Th-thank you," the Hero stuttered out through the pain. "And yes, I'm fine." The damage may have been minimal, but she was still wounded. No matter how much healing she went through it would still leave a considerable scar.

From the middle of the crowd she saw Bakugo and Eijiro jump at the villain. Eijiro landed a considerable punch against the villain's metal brace which stood stationary in the black mist. Before Kurogiri could reorient himself Katsuki grabbed the brace and forced it to the ground. Small sparks surrounded the outside of Bakugo's finger tips and threatened to get bigger.

Katsuki stared at Kurogiri's wandering eyes with a manic and angry grin. "Fucking move and I end you! You hear me!?"

"Yeah!" Kirishima joined in. "Now tell us why you're here!"

Kurogiri chuckled slightly at the question, as if it was stupid to ask. "To kill All Might, of course," he bluntly stated with confidence. "It is unfortunate he is not here at the moment, but I am positive if enough of you die he will come eventually."

"Don't act calm with me!" Bakugo shouted down at him.

"Why should I not?" He asked. "After all, I have something you don't."

"Care to tell?" Bakugo growled as small detonations began to form around the metal collar.

"Bakugo! Get away from him!" Aizawa shouted to his student.

Kurogiri laughed slightly. "You should listen to your teacher if you value your life."

"Fuck you-!"

"Nomu!" Everyone heard the other man in the stadium shout.

In mere seconds the behemoth had lunged across the complex and straight at the group. It's fist was cocked back and ready to strike Katsuki. They stared each other in the eyes. Bakugo's were filled with fear, and this thing... this Nomu... his eyes were blank, void of any higher function.

It struck Katsuki in the chest and sent him flying backwards. He was almost impossible to catch due to the speeds he was flying at. Izuku couldn't catch him as Bakugo flew a hair's length past his face. Asui's tongue and Sero's tape were too slow to grab him. Iida tried to speed too him, but he was too far out of his reach.

Shihouin appeared behind the young boy to catch him mid flight. The velocity was stronger than she expected, and her boots dug into the ground and dragged a few feet before stopping.

"Put me down," Katsuki painfully seethed in an angry attitude. It was clear his discontent was directing at Shihouin.

"Gladly," she scoffed at his stubborn attitude. She dropped him, letting Katsuki fall and hit the ground with a silent thud. He moaned in slight pain.

"Bitch!"

"You told me to put you down," she replied coyly. "I just did what you asked."

"Iida! Shihouin! Make a break for the exit! Get help!" Aizawa shouted across the small space.

Iida was the first one to move while Shihouin pretended to be distracted with the villain in front of her. Iida was fast and could likely outrun the portal. She could easily make it too and back to U.A. in a minute given the distance, maybe even less than thirty seconds. But with that thing that nearly devastated Katsuki in less than five, she worried for the rest of her class. In the time it would take for her to get to U.A. and back she couldn't be sure what could happen. But waiting for All Might to show up would be her main issue. She could take that Nomu easy, All Might also, but not as easy as her.

They said they came to kill All Might, and this Nomu is likely their method. She'd have to go to U.A., wait for other teachers and Heroes to show and then head back. You don't typically come back with a single reinforcement. If she couldn't get her hands on All Might in time or at all, something very bad could happen.

So she let Iida go. She pretended to be too focused on the Nomu to hear Aizawa's words. He made it out in time

With a single Shunpō she appeared in front of the Nomu with a wound up fist. She began to strike forward, but she didn't see the portal enveloping her. Tunnel vision took over as her fist collided with the Nomu's beak-like mouth and began to tear it off. And then she was somewhere else.

...

"Fucking, damnit!" She shouted into the streets of the fire zone. She had never felt a need to curse like that in her entire life.

She knew she should have made that punch quicker. Instead she took her time and now she was in one of the rescue zones. One quick punch and it's head would be completely gone. She just wanted to to be sure. The way its brain was exposed made her feel weird, as if she needed to be absolutely positive it was dead.

Fire was everywhere. Flames enveloped the buildings and even scattered onto the street occasionally before burning out. Despite that, an oddly cold shiver went down her spine. Not the kind from a bad feeling, but as if the temperature was actually dropping.

Off in the distance, just on the opposite side of the fire zone a large glacier was summoned seemingly from nowhere.

"Ahh," Yoruichi hummed in realization. "Todoroki's also here."

His entire right side felt like it had collapsed in on itself. As far as Bakugo was concerned, it practically was. He was leaning over left, putting most of his body weight going that way. His left arm clung around his body, gripping his right side. He could barely lift his right arm.

"Nomu?" He thought aloud, repeating the name that the lanky man had called it. "The hell was that thing?"

The thing was clearly faster than Iida. He heard the lanky armed man say its name and in five to seven seconds it was right in front of him. Nowhere near as fast as Shihouin, probably as fast as All Might as far as he could tell.

Here to kill All Might? Bakugo laughed at the thought. No one could kill All Might, even these villain's had to have known that. After all, the Heroes always win. He always wins.

Even though it wasn't a competition to get struck backwards several dozen feet, he felt as if he lost. First in the entrance exams, second in the quirk apprehension test, third just awhile ago. He knew he probably would have died from the impact at worst, or best be knocked unconscious. Shihouin saved him from that fate by being fast. He'd never thank her for it. Especially after literally dropping him like a doll and letting him hit the floor.

Loss after loss against this girl. But she wasn't the only one to humiliate him. Deku had the gall to enroll in U.A. and actually make it. But he was a small concern at the moment. Shihouin was the biggest mark in the class, larger than himself and that Icy-Hot shit head.

Between being possibly killed or saved by Shihouin, he'd probably rather be dead. Better than losing a third time. At least he had something to look to. In just a month the U.A. Sports Festival was coming up. He'd kick her ass. But he'd have to think on that later. At the moment he had to focus on not getting killed, and his prospects already weren't looking great.

He was severely injured and was likely going to spend the next few weeks in the hospital. As much as he hated to admit it, he needed to get back to the entrance. If he tried to fight he would die.

Katsuki took a quick scan of the surrounding area. He was up high. From where he stood he could see small artificial mountains just below him as well as the other three zones. He could see Deku, Frogface and the Small Fry taking on a bunch of villains in the shipwreck zone, Deku being as useless as usual. In the earthquake zone it was Birdface and Flatface on one end and closer to his zone, right on the border, was Ponytail, Sparky and Ears.

Most of the rest were out of sight, until a glacier the size of a small house appeared just in the center of the fire zone. Bakugo scowled at the sight, even more so when he saw Half and Half surfing along it in the distance. His speck was small, but big enough to see. Then a villain went flying into the sky. Another speck, little orphan Annie, appeared just a above it and slammed the villain into a rising pillar of ice.

He couldn't believe he was being shown up by those two, while his injured self barely had the pain tolerance left to fight. Bakugo sneered and ground his teeth. He looked down at the mountain sides to see villains slowly crawling their way up the mountain to reach him. Maybe a few practice rounds so he wouldn't be left in the dust. He was just far enough to where he wasn't in harms way and close enough for him to put minimal power into his explosions.

He could let loose, if only just a little.

"That was faster than I expected," Shihouin commented while wiping her sweaty hands against her leotard.

She looked across the field, seeing frozen over and unconscious villains. They heard the panicked shout of an adult male from the second story of a building near the window. Shouto and Yoruichi looked to the direction of the sound and saw a villain fly out of a window back first. His fall was short and he hit the ground hard and loud. While not unconscious, he clearly wasn't fighting any time soon. He rolled around in pain, growing on moaning while laying as still as he could on the ground.

Quickly, Ojiro jumped out of the same window as the villain landing four feet before the pained man. "You hurt?" Shihouin asked the kid.

"I'm fine. A few burnt pieces of my costume, but I'll live," Ojiro replied.

The three looked around the zone. Their side was clear, and they could only wait to find out if Mina and Rikido could do the same.

"Oi!" Shihouin called, her voice clearly directed at the pained villain. "You alright?" She asked, approaching the man at a brisk pace.

"Fuck off," the villain cursed through a strained voice. "Damn brat."

Yoruichi looked at the villain plainly. When she finally arrived at the villain's body, she lifted her foot and began to press it into the villain's side.

"Don't call me a brat," she said in a monotone voice, the villain howling in pain. "Probably broken. Tell me what I need to know and it stops-"

"Deal! Deal! Just stop!"

Surprised, she took her foot off the man. "Didn't think you'd squeal that fast." She nearly laughed.

"Man, fuck this! I didn't get paid enough for this shit!"

"Pay you?" Shouto queried. "Is that all the loyalty you have for that man?"

The villain coughed slightly, a single spec of blood mixed with what was mostly spit. "The guy said he'd pay us to bust into the U.S.J. with him to help him kill All Might. At first I thought he was crazy, but apparently he had some kind of weapon to help him do the job."

The three students look at each other in a brief moment of confirmation. They may not have talked about it with each other, but it confirmed a suspicion they had about that 'Nomu' person who was fighting with the Villains.

"So you don't know anything else?" Shihouin continued "Like how he knew we'd be here today?"

"I don't," the villain replied. "I just know they were here to kill All Might. They paid extra to not ask questions. I should've asked for more!"

Yoruichi cracked her neck before turning towards the center of the of the building. She looked back at Ojiro and Todoroki, the former of whom looked a bit unnerved.

"I'm gonna head back into the center," She said, preforming a light stretch. "Whether or not you wanna follow or check up on Ashido and Sato is up to you."

Before they had a chance to respond she was gone. Ojiro let out a small drip of sweat from his forehead, both from the heat and a nervous demeanor.

"That was kind of cruel, don't you think?" He asked Todoroki who gave him an impassive glare. "He may be a villain, but that was a bit much."

"Maybe," Todoroki slightly agreed. "But it gave us the information we needed, so I can't judge her too much for it."

Ojiro's anxiety amplified slightly, seeing how Todoroki was agreeing with Shihouin's methods. "W-well I'm gonna catch up with Ashido-chan and Sato-kun. See if they need help, you know?"

"In that case I'll follow Shihouin-chan," Todoroki said, readying to glide himself towards the center of the building. "I'll see you back at the entrance."

"See you..." he was cut off by Todoroki rushing off to where Shihouin left, not given a chance to finish his sentence. "Soon," he finished anyway.

By the time Todoroki caught up with the speeding exhibitionist, it had looked like there was no need for him to be there. Shihouin had already stood on the monster's back with both of its arms twisted in impossible positions. While he'd admit it wasn't very heroic to do so and would try to avoid such lengths himself, after seeing how it nearly killed Bakugo such measures might be necessary.

He looked over to his teacher who was badly beaten and severely wounded. The man could barely kneel and was forced to lean over Midoriya's shoulder for support.

"Come on! Again!?" He heard Shihouin shout in agitation.

All attention was shifted towards her. Shouto saw Nomu's arms violently twist and tear back into place, making violent and nauseating sounds reminiscent paper and muscle being torn apart. With its hands in front of it and on the ground, it pushed itself up, shaking Yoruichi off its back.

She almost lost her balance, but quickly used her quirk to appear next to Todoroki who had just arrived. "The damn thing has a stupidly high regeneration rate. Tear off its arm and it just grows back."

"You tore his arm off?" Todoroki asked in surprise.

"Whatever it is," she replied, making Nomu sound more like a thing than a person, "is stupidly versatile. I might just have to kill it if we all want to get out of here alive."

"Shihouin, don't!" Aizawa shouted.

"Look at what it did to you!" She shouted back. "You're a pro hero with years of experience! What if that was Sero or Kaminari! You saw what it almost did to Bakugo!"

"Just stay safe!" Aizawa exclaimed. "I don't want you kids to get hurt! Midoriya, grab Asui and leave with Shihouin and Todoroki-"

"The hell are you gonna do?" Shihouin interrupted. "Get your ass kicked more?"

"It doesn't-"

"-'matter to you because you're the adult'?" Yoruichi finished. "If that isn't the cheesiest and dumbest things I've heard, I don't know what is."

"If you would be so kind?" They heard Kurogiri's voice cut in among themselves. "But isn't it rude to ignore someone?"

With a sudden burst of force Nomu burst towards Shihouin and Todoroki. Without hesitation the son of Endeavor began to form up an ice wall around him and Shihouin. Nomu's fist impacted the wall, shattering it instantly but protecting the two nonetheless.

Shouto stomped is left foot forward just an inch and sent a cold flood of ice towards the creature. Even at this point he had to admit, Nomu was seeming more monster than man. A high regenerative rate, insane physical strength and an exposed brain. It was hard to imagine that what he was facing was real.

"Don't you think it's rude to interrupt someone when they're talking?" Shihouin spat back. Nomu wound his fist up and aimed at Shihouin. Before anyone could do anything, Shihouin shifted her eyes to look at Kurogiri, and Nomu's head turned into a bright red mist just above his body.

She didn't move a muscle, and Todoroki knew it wasn't him. The others looked equally shocked. Shihouin looked agitated and turned towards Kurogiri.

"Why did you come here? How did you know we'd be here?" She asked, her tone voice sounding low with anger.

"It is simple," Kurogiri began. "We came here to kill All Might."

"And how are we gonna do that now Kurogiri!?" The other one shouted. "We just lost our weapon!"

"Do not be impatient, Tomura," The warp gate villain said.

Moments after he spoke, Nomu began to rise again. It's head began to rapidly reform, muscle by muscle, bone by bone, neuron by neuron. Todoroki had to agree now that whatever this thing was could not human.

"Would you just. Stay. Down!" Shihouin gave it no time to react or even stand back up as she punted the creature up several dozen feet into the air. She disappeared before Shouto's eyes and reappeared above the monster. With a fast and heavy slam Yoruichi knocked it into the ground with enough force to break open its chest. Blood scattered everywhere and its ribs shot out from its chest.

The creature began to heal itself again, bringing its insides back in.

"Damn, that thing's annoying," she cursed, drawing her attention away from this Nomu creature for only a few seconds.

He was unsure how well it would hold the thing, but tried anyways. Shouto stuck his hand out and watched as ice began to form. The temperature dropped, and a large chunk of ice shot out from his hand.

It was best to try to freeze Nomu in place when Yoruichi wasn't trying to commit murder against it. He didn't want to accidentally hit his classmate in the crossfire. What mattered the most is whether or not it would hold for long enough.

Nomu struggled to get unstuck from the ice. From the noise the ice was cracking and chipping, but it wasn't significant enough to worry about. Should he have to wager a guess, they had four minutes, possibly less.

"Kurogiri," Tomura growled impatiently. "This isn't going the way it was planned."

"That is fine. Perhaps another day we can kill All Might."

Tomura was still fidgeting and began to scratch at his neck furiously. "It was supposed to be today!" He exclaimed. He stopped his fidgeting and scratching momentarily, taking a moment to think on Kurogiri's words. "But I guess you're right. At least we get to kill some kids."

Immediately Tomura shot for Asui who was only a few yards away from him. His arm was outstretched, and his hand was slowly inching towards her face. Izuku shot to grab her, dropping Aizawa on the ground just to reach her in time. But he didn't. Yet at the same time, neither did this Tomura person.

Suddenly the air became heavy. It was hard to move and breathe in that moment, but Todoroki's eyes locked on to Shihouin who was the only one unimpaired by the sudden increase in pressure. She had to be the one doing this for her to be the only unaffected person. The only question was how she was doing it.

Everyone caught in the vicinity was immediately brought to their knees and unable to properly stand. Even the man made of mist seemed to have trouble moving. Shihouin, as fast as always, landing a solid punch on Tomura's stomach, sending the villain flying backwards at speeds faster than Nomu sent Bakugo. Shouto was sure he heard severeal cracks resounding from the villain's chest area which could only have been several broken bones.

In that single moment, Tomura coughed up a heap of blood onto Yoruichi's face. Her dark features were now painted a sanguine color, and whatever skin was seen was only on what her body suit exposed.

There were supposed to be ethics to being a hero. No killing, brutalizing or severely maiming a villain were allowed. Sure, heroes like "Snipe" were known for using firearms which had the potential to do extreme enough harm to either paralyze, severely maim or even kill a villain, but those heroes went out of their way to make sure that the villain would be shot in places that would still let them walk in the end. The villains wounded by the gun-toting heroes that were in Japan weren't going out of their way to pop a bullet in someone's kneecap or spine, just the thighs and arms, so it's too painful to walk and lift.

Shihouin seemed to disregard most forms of ethics that heroes should abide by. She tried to commit murder against Nomu and had likely caused vast internal bleeding to the Tomura person in front of her. But with how easily she was able to thrash around the Nomu like a toy she didn't try to kill Tomura, even though if that punch was only a little harder his torso would be separated from his head, arms and legs. Why she didn't target Nomu with less carnage like she had the lanky armed villain was a mystery.

It was true that Nomu wasn't a normal person. Yoruichi had even taken to calling Nomu "it" or "that thing", as if it weren't human. Maybe she was right in some strange way; no normal human could survive with its skull being exposed like that, or regenerate its entire head. All's Shouto knew, was that Shihouin was being merciless.

She had the strength of a demon, even when she didn't wind up for a strike. She had speed faster than lightning. She was powerful.

"Todoroki, stop staring and watch your left!" She yelled back at him.

He snapped out of his trance and heard his ice cracking as Nomu thrashed around more and more. With each jerk and twist more ice had flaked off of the icy prison he was trapped in. He already had one arm out and was furiously smashing the ice around him with that same blank, manic expression on his face.

Todoroki immediately refroze Nomu as best he could, encompassing his head and free arm, reforming the ice he shook off. It stopped him for now, but probably wouldn't last too long.

It had only been a single minute, and Nomu had already broken halfway free. He hoped refreezing him would slow him down, but instead it only further irritated the... man? At some level he had to agree with Shihouin that whatever that thing was is no longer human; the way it's body was formed and blank expression showed that it once was, but probably no longer was. Nonetheless killing it just felt wrong, and also went against the ethics of being a hero.

He refroze it a third time, hopefully making the ice thick enough to make sure it would at least be in there until All Might (and what other backup Iida brought) came back in time.

Even though his tunnel vision had honed in on Nomu, he could still hear the shrill shriek of Tomura from the pain of having his kneecap inverted. Whatever life she lead before U.A. had to have been on some degree of borderline criminal for her to think this would qualify for hero work. She probably knew that though, so why she would do something so brutal was lost on him.

The warp gate villain shouted for his comrade, "Shigaraki!"

A black portal enveloped Tomura as he fell backwards and he was removed from the battlefield. Todoroki looked around for what safe area he could have been warped to, but couldn't find a single one. In every zone in the stadium there was fighting. Even in the far back of the U.S.J. where he saw Mezo and Ochako in combat.

Another portal appeared over Nomu and he too was removed from the field. Not even Shouto's ice remained, as it too was taken with Nomu.

"It was my understanding that heroes do not commit such acts against villains," Kurogiri said. "You maim Shigaraki, and attempt to murder a villain?" It was a statement proposed more like a question, and filled with mockery and irony.

"How about you try not to kill minors," Yoruichi said like she wasn't one. "It was only self defense."

"Self defense?" Kurogiri laughed, starting to warp himself away from the arena. "You tried to snap our Nomu's spine in half, and even destroyed his head. Heroes don't kill, you should know."

Shihouin in a spat of immaturity stuck her tongue out at the villain. "You can't kill what's already dead," she responded.

The villain gave no response, but a strange echoing laugh.

"You aren't taking your other allies with you!?" Todoroki shouted.

"They played their part as they should have, and I am thankful for that," his voice echoed on. "But from here on, they are no longer our problem."

Shortly after the echoing voice had vanished. The warp villain known as Kurogiri had vanished with Tomura and Nomu in tow, and had left the other villains to be arrested by the heroes.

Todoroki sent a wary glare at Shihouin who was turned away from him. She stared at where the trio of villains used to stand, and put her hands on her hips. She sighed and rolled her neck to stretch her muscles.

Todoroki had a couple of questions. Why did she do that knowing full well it was against basic hero ethics? What kind of past did she lead to where she can easily decide to engage in brutal melee? He would ask them at a later date, should he even decide to. Maybe the other two students who saw would ask her first, and by the time he asked she'd be tired of answering.

Yoruichi turned to face Aizawa who had been dropped by Midoriya who had rushed to grab Asui. She walked up to him casually and did her best to lift his taller frame over her short body.

"We are going to have a long talk when this is over," Aizawa stated.

If Shouto remembered correctly then he was her legal guardian. Shihouin never kept it a secret, and in truth it made him feel bad for her even if only slightly. It might explain some of her ruthless combative style, or maybe she just didn't get the memo of heroes not doing what she did. She wasn't like this when them and Ojiro were tag teaming villains in the fire zone, so why change now?

There was still fighting going on, but the remaining villain's didn't know they were abandoned by who Shouto assumed to be their leaders.

Just as he was getting ready to hop back into combat, the doors to the complex burst open and Iida was at the front of the group.

"I have brought reinforcements!" He shouted, his voice reaching the ears of all who could hear it.

Todoroki, Izuku, Aizawa, Shihouin and Asui stared back at the U.S.J. doors. It was almost the entire staff of their school. There was Snipe, Present Mic, Midnight, Ectoplasm, Cementos and of course All Might. This All Might was different from the one he always saw. The All Might he, and all of his classmates saw, was always smiling, always had a happy face and a stoic posture.

This All Might, was frowning.

His face showed anger, hatred even, for all who dare harm his students. The act of assaulting children was not something any man or woman in their right mind would let stand, let alone the number one hero in all of Japan. With another heavy step forward the look of disdain was made more clear on All Might's face.

"I am here!" He announced, his voice booming loud with anger.

"Iida-kun!" Yoruichi shouted up to them. "What took you so long?! I already dealt with the big guys. There's just the rest for cleanup!"

"Shihouin-chan!" Tenya shouted back down to her. "Are you all okay?!"

"We're fine, physically speaking," Yoruichi replied. "Aside from that your about thirty seconds too late to deal with the guys who actually mattered!"

The teachers and All Might let Shihouin's words sink in. They were surprised at the thought of students being able to repel and even subdue villains with such little training. They shared a quick look among each other before silent deciding what to do. Present Mic immediately took the forefront of the room and turned the speaker around his neck to max volume.

"Class 1-A!" He shouted loudly. "Your teachers are here and are ready to save the day! We're sending teachers to intercept you and guide you back to the front of the U.SJ.! Please disengage any combative positions you are in!"

The orders were given as quickly as possible across the compound. Snipe ran off towards the urban zone, Midnight to the fire zone, Cementos to the water zone and Ectoplasm to the mountain zone. As they arrived they had started to do their tasks more efficiently than any of the students could dream of. Todoroki, in that moment, knew that even if his quirk was powerful he still had quite a bit to learn.

Yoruichi was handing off Aizawa to All Might who had arrived to their location while Todoroki was distracted by the teacher's work. She was seen dusting her hands off against each other and turning towards the entrance looking back at the rest.

"Now that we have all that settled, I say we get out of here and-" She froze all of a sudden. She looked worried all of a sudden and began to look all around the U.S.J. for something. Her eyes shifted towards Aizawa, then All Might, then Midoriya, Asui and then to himself, and asked, "Did anyone else hear that?"

AN: So to address something I wrote earlier in the chapter. Canonically, there is no source saying Yoruichi can read or even speak Chinese, but I wanted to add a little bit of flavor here.

My reasoning: As mentioned in a previous chapter (I think chapter 2) Soi-Fon is likely ethnically Chinese or at least her family is to some degree. Soi-Fōn is one spelling of her name in Roman characters, and the Japanese pronunciation of her name as they don't have the right characters to properly translate (transliterate? Idk?). Suì-Fēng (Suee-Fung) is how her name pronounced in Mandarin Chinese.

If you see where I'm going with this then you see, if not, just bear with me please, I'm almost done. Because Soi-Fon's proper name originates from Mandarin, and her family is subservient to the Shihouin-clan, so I thought it would make sense for, as Yoruichi was growing up, her to be introduced to Soi-Fon's family at some point just so she knows all the servant families to her clan because of her position as an heiress. While they (Soi-Fon's family) would read and write in Japanese, there would still be Chinese letterings in some family texts, and Yoruichi would either have asked to attempt to learn out of childish curiosity or the offer extended to her at some point.

Like I said, I simply thought it would add some extra flavor to her character and that would be be kinda neat.

Sorry for the long winded explanation, I just thought I should clarify.

[Extra: So I initially wanted Nomu to come out wrapped in chains of fate to further expand on quirks being tied to spiritual pressure. He could basically walk out of Kurogiri's warp gate with these chains around his body with no visible entry point and they would all be tied back to the spirit they were attached to and when all chains of fate were severed it would deactivate a quirk that Nomu would have access to, and that spirit would essentially just evaporate back into spiritual energy and go back into the reincarnation cycle. I did not do that because I was really scared of it being a bad move. It would also be that reason for the [REDACTED FOR NEXT CHAPTER] showing up, but because I didn't go that route I had to use Yoruichi exerting a massive amount of reiatsu to immobilize Tomura and Kurogiri.]

Replies:

Mementomori115: I've thought of a bunch of ways to rationalize Yoruichi's "quirk" and it's a whole lot. When Shunko gets released then that's gonna have to be explained, and FOR NOW I've settled on the teachers rationalizing on a build up and release on kinetic energy (or something like that). Everything will

For now, we can only wait.

Spartanistic 4: Thank you for pointing that hollow but out! I kinda forgot that detail as it's been awhile since I've looked into that. As for the name switching, I do that sometimes because my brain can't decide which one to do at times, I'll do my best to be more consistent in the future!

{sorry if I didn't reply to your reviews or comments! I have a lot on my plate and for some I can't explain without getting into spoiler territory!}

Have a good day!
