Mornings he got to sleep in with Steph curled into his side were mornings to treasure. It wasn't often Jason slept well but when Steph was with him, he slept like a baby.

Brushing the blonde hair out of Steph's face, Jason pressed a feather-soft kiss to her forehead, letting a small smile play across his face.

"Good morning beautiful," Jason softly said, feeling Steph try to press closer into his body.

"Good morning," Steph replied, her blue eyes fluttering open to meet Jason's. "Five more minutes?"

"Always for you." Closing his eyes, Jason allowed himself to enjoy the moment.

"My God, you're incredible," Jason said, having just witnessed Steph take out two bad guys while doing a backflip off a desk.

"And that's why you love me," Steph smirked, watching Jason take the last guy out with a solid thump to the head.

"I do love you, it's true." Handing Steph some zip ties to help him tie up the criminals, they quickly had them ready for law enforcement.

Propelling up the side of the building and to the roof, they sat on the edge and waited. Taking off his helmet, Jason pulled Steph close and softly kissed her.

Steph's body was like a sacred temple to him. Slowly kissing his way down Steph's neck, Jason stopped only to lick over her pulse and suck on the tender spot behind her ear. Hearing a soft moan, Jason continued down the path he was on.

Running his hands over the soft curves of Steph's body, Jason felt Steph begin to twist her fingers through the hair on the back of his neck.

"Red Hood, Spoiler, come in, we have a small breakout we need you to attend to." Babs's voice said loud and clear.

"Ugh, just what we fucking need."

Hearing a loud gunshot close by, Steph woke up in a panic. Jason was already on his feet, his own gun in his hand.

"Stay please," Jason softly said, inching towards the window to see where it came from.

Down below, people were running wild, more gunshots echoing around them. Just as he was about to suit up, Damian and Cass landed on the scene.

"Was that who I think it was?" Steph asked, the sheet wrapped around her.

"It was and they have it under control, damn Cass is fast."

"Does this mean we have time to eat breakfast?"

"God, I hate those stupid events Bruce puts on. I don't want to deal with high society people with no personality and only have them try to marry me off to their daughters," Jason huffed as he pulled on his undershirt.

"I know babe, I don't like going to them either," Steph replied, trying to decide what shirt to wear.

"This is why we are going for a drive; I feel like we can find something good for dinner a state over."

"You're not wrong and I have a playlist ready for us. It's full of all our favourite songs."

"Stop being such a wisecrack, Todd," Damian said, tying up the last of the criminals.

"Stop being a little shit and I'll think about it," Jason replied, checking over Damian's work.

"How about you both stop instead," Steph loudly said, sick of them going at one another.

"My job here is done. Todd, Brown, don't screw up."

"Can we wait on the roof until the cops get here?" Steph turned to Jason.

"Sure."

Sitting on the roof, Jason's arm around her waist, Steph took her mask off and took a deep breath in. She needed a moment to calm down.

Steph felt miserable. Everything ached, and any time she moved she could feel her ribs, hips, and lower back protesting. She did not think she'd ever been thrown in front of a moving vehicle but here she was.

Hearing footsteps getting closer, Steph looked up from her place on the bed as offered Jason a small smile.

"If you think you can eat at some point today I got some of those cup-a-soup things and crunchy bread that I know you like." Carefully sitting down on the bed, Jason brushed back the loose hair from Steph's face.

"Thank you, Jason."

Stephanie could feel the sand around her feet pulling her towards the ocean as the water pulled back. The sun was high in the sky, beaming down on them from above.

Feeling another wave crash around her knees, Steph let out a squeal when Jason picked her up and carried her deeper into the water.

"If you drop me, I swear you'll regret it," Steph said shifting in his arms.

"I would never, my love," Jason replied, pressing a soft kiss to Steph's temple.

"Okay, put me down, we'll jump waves together."

Seeing the grin on Jason's face, Steph smiled.
