The tyre swing gently swayed in the wind. On the soft grass was a picnic blanket, with a wicker basket and bottle of sparkling juice sitting on top.
"Jason, why can't I open my eyes?" Steph asked, her eyes closed as Jason led her over to the blanket.
"You can open them now. I know it's not much, but I wanted to do something special," Jason shyly admitted, sitting down on the blanket and patting the spot next to him.
"I really love it," Steph smiled as she pushed Jason onto his back and leaned down to passionately kiss him.
The stream by the cabin was crystal clear. Looking at the water around her ankles, Steph could see the bottom as her toes curled in the white sand. Steph spotted a few small fish deeper in and it made her feel more in touch with her surroundings.
"How's the water?" Jason asked, joining her.
"It's beautiful," Steph replied, walking further into the stream so she could swim in the water.
"This is probably one of my favourite places Bruce owns," Jason said, looking at the lush open land and quaint cottage.
"Same, and I get to spend it with you."
"I just want to spend every day with you; for the rest of my life," Jason mumbled into blonde hair as he spooned Steph, holding her to him as she soundly slept in his arms.
It had taken Jason a while to realise this, but now that he had, it made him feel more whole. He loved Steph with every ounce of his being and he knew she felt the same way. Jason never believed in soulmates, but every time he looked at Steph, he knew she was the one for him.
Steph was everything he wasn't, yin and yang.
"What would you like for dinner?" Jason asked as they sat at the kitchen table, trying to do a one-thousand-piece puzzle.
"What options do we have?" Steph replied as she worked on the corner piece, trying to get the rocks to line up.
"We have fresh ingredients to make chicken stir fry, chicken stroganoff, steak and veggies, or frozen pizza, I think," Jason responded, working on putting the whale together.
"Stroganoff sounds good, yours is my favourite," Steph replied, handing Jason a piece of the whale.
"I do make the best stroganoff. This puzzle is making me want a nap."
Jason didn't want the week to end. He had no responsibilities, no commitments. It was just him and Steph, and he wanted to cherish every moment he had with her. She was a beautiful woman with a killer personality and moves to match.
Steph was stretched out on the couch watching a movie. Joining her, Jason lifted her feet for a moment and sat down, resting them across his lap.
"You're just in time. I hope you like The Princess Diaries," Steph smiled, getting even more comfortable.
The things Jason would watch to get to spend more time with Steph.
It was the night before they were meant to head back to Gotham. The wind was wildly raging outside. They could hear the tyre swing beating against the tree trunk it was hanging from. The kitchen windows loudly shook, and the power kept cutting in and out.
Jason and Stephanie didn't care much. They were in bed together, exchanging hot and wet kisses as they ran their hands over each other's bodies.
Soft moans filled the room as Jason made sure Stephanie knew how much he loved her. He wanted to give her what she wanted and so much more.
