AN: I am happy you guys enjoyed the last chapter, even though it was pretty bland. This chapter will start the real action inside the dungeon. Also I am just letting you all know that Nyx will probably be the second member of the harem. She is someone who is not seen very often in relationships so I think she would be pretty interesting. I am still going to give it some more thought though.

Last Time~
You could try to approach them. If an altercation does ensure, you always have the chance to flee into the forest where you would not only have the weapon advantage whilst using a dagger, but also ability advantage with Nature's Emissary. She said, sounding slightly thoughtful. I decided to put the thoughts of her gaining true sentience on the back burner and move forward with the plan. I started making my way towards the goblin village, hoping to every god in existence I did not have to fight a horde of little green men.
Now~
I walked towards the village confidently, my hand open, ready to pull a dagger out of my inventory at any moment. As soon as they noticed me I heard them speak slightly differently than the previous goblins I heard.
"##$* #*(&^ *(& & *$^^&!(!" It was different from the strange sounds they made before. Now it sounded completely like a foreign language. The goddess' blessing was definitely starting to take effect. About twenty goblin guardians gathered up and pointed their spears at me, screaming in their unintelligible language. I felt a small urge to kill them, but I ignored it since I wanted to see if they would be peaceful or not. I put my hands up and walked closer to them, which gained me even more frantic screaming. I stopped in place and kept my hands up as the screaming got louder. Apparently they did not like the fact that I was not listening to whatever they had to say and five of them charged at me.
I whipped out two knives and stood there while using Observation to see how strong they were.

(The older Goblin Savages get the more intelligent they grow. Whilst they are young, they are stupid in every sense of the word, only used for menial labor, the ones who live longer can grow into fine Goblin warriors.)
"Tch." I clicked my tongue and lept backwards, dodging the multiple spears that pierced the spot where I was standing previously. It was relatively easy since both their agility and dexterity were much lower than mine. I kicked away one spear, leaving a small opening as the other four went charging past my body. A sidekick sent the goblin whose spear I knocked away, flying a few feet backwards, leaving and opening for me to slit the throat of the two that stood on either side, leaving only the outer two remaining. I jumped over one spear aiming at my legs and used a knife to knock away the second spear coming towards my throat. I dropped a knife into my inventory and used the free hand to grab the spear that passed by my head and jerked it out of the goblin's hand. Continuing the momentum of moving forwards I thrust the end of the spear into the goblin to my side, killing it instantly. Pulling the spear backwards I smashed the end of the spear into the throat of the goblin that the spear belonged to, crushing its windpipe. One thrust was all it took to finish off the poor creature. The goblin I kicked away originally lied down on the ground, blood seeping from its mouth as it suffocated on its own blood.
I stared at the village as more goblins gathered at the entrance. A total of about 36 were left, glaring at me intensely. I took a peek at my stat screen to determine what I should do.

I can still afford to save my stat points right now. Even the strongest one there only has stats around 15 physically. While my speed might not outclass them by much, my strength and dexterity certainly do. So I should be able to avoid them easier than they can avoid me. Alright, let's do this. I thought to myself, squeezing the spear in my hands tightly. Hopefully I can still replicate those techniques Thalia taught me way back in the day. I have not used them in forever… but I should still be able to pull off something.
A cry echoed out and all 36 of the goblins charged at me. Some wielding knives, some crude swords and shields, others with 6 foot long spears. I had been in situations like this plenty of times in my life though, so it did not matter that much. I twirled the spear in my hands, trying to get a good feel of the weight as the goblins got ever closer. I nodded a little and got into a stance Thalia taught me. The first goblins to reach me all had daggers. They screeched and leapt at me, knives screaming for blood. I spun around to get enough momentum and swung the spear like a bat, the spearhead slicing the air as it moved closer to the goblins faster than they could react. In an instant all three of their heads flew off, splashing me in their putrid green blood. I grimaced at the disgusting feel and smell but continued the movement of the spear, using the blunt end to knock away two more spears aiming for my stomach. Twirling the spear rapidly I managed to smack away a sword and spartan kick the attacker hard enough that I could feel his weaker bones crumble to dust under the pressure. I thrust the spear forward, into it's skull and quickly withdrew it, backflipping to avoid even more spears.
I clicked my tongue and used the spear to throw dirt into the eyes of a few goblins, causing them to furiously try and get the dirt off their faces, leaving them utterly open for attack. Dodging various weapons I ran forward, slamming my foot into the face of one goblin, killing him instantly. I then sliced the throat of another goblin with my spear, and continued on to stab another. The rhythm continued on like this, as blood spilled onto the floor. More goblins came from the village due to the sound of fighting. More and more joined in, as the scent of death filled the area. Every step I took a sickening squishing and sloshing sound was heard, as blood soaked into the earth, saturating it. As insane as it might sound, it was peaceful. The spear in my hand flowed naturally, as if it were the scythe of Thanatos himself, wherever it struck death followed. Finally, after a grueling and exhausting battle, I laid down atop a mound of dead bodies. My clothes were dyed green with blood, my muscles ached from overuse, and my stamina bar reflected it.

I couldn't move even if I wanted to. But, I did get more than a good enough reward.

I sighed, staring up at the night sky. I had fought for a few hours against these guys, at this moment I did not care about the rewards I just wanted to rest. And so, I rapidly fell into a state of unconsciousness.
The Next Day~
A groan escaped from my lips as I sat up slowly. I cringed as dried green blood flaked off my skin. I hated the crusty feeling it left behind. I ran a hand through my hair as I stared up at the noon sun. How exhausted I must have been to sleep for that long. It was definitely worth it though, as I felt very refreshed. Even as I stood atop a mountain of corpses I felt nothing. Had I become accustomed to killing? Or has the hatred in my heart fully blocked out all thoughts of going back? Or is it something else entirely? I had no real idea and at this point it did not matter. Hopping down, I landed on the blood saturated ground with a splash.
"Gross." I continued towards the village to find something to wash off with. It took a few minutes of looking around but I finally found a well. It was fairly easy from there, since I could control the water to warp around me and wash both my clothes and body like a washing machine.
"That's better." I sighed with relief, enjoying the feeling of cleanliness.
Master, remember to check on the item chest and skill cards. Here is a recommendation as well. You should raise your Luck Stat to the max of 99. Then open the item chest. That will give you a better chance at getting a good reward. As usual, Alexa always gives helpful advice. I nodded and immediately put 89 of my points into Luck!
ALERT! Due to a massive spike in your luck you have gained a new title! [Fortune's Chosen]
I put a hand on my chin staring at that screen. I guess it makes sense to get a title for raising luck, since it is not something that can be naturally raised. Come to think of it, the only person who could raise one's luck would be Tyche. I guess you could say the fates make you lucky or unlucky, but its not true luck. Just manipulation. Regardless, I need to check out both of my new titles.

I couldn't keep the smirk off my face as I clenched my fist. Excitement welling up inside me. I could feel the strength pulsing throughout my body due to the [Goblin Slayer] title, and due to the [Fortune's Chosen] I could worry less about the Fates' intervention.
"Alright, let's see those skill cards." I said out loud and pulled them out of my inventory. They were just like the one I got before. It was copper coloured and I got the pop ups for them as soon as they entered my hand.
Reveal Skill Cards? Yes/No
I clicked yes and I got two more pop ups.
You have revealed two skill cards! [Metal Body Tempering] and [Nature's Mana Circulation]
Would you like to learn these two skills? Yes/No
Body tempering and mana circulation… interesting. I wonder if it means the tug I get in my gut whenever I use my water powers. Could that be my mana? I guess I will find out. I clicked yes and clutched my head in pain as an immense amount of knowledge imprinted itself into my brain. I gained all the knowledge on how to use both techniques although it would be awhile before they become truly useful. Now, time to look at their descriptions.
[Metal Body Tempering]
Rank: F- (Growth)
A technique used by ancient warrior monks to harden their skin and muscles. It has a complementary bone strengthening technique that was lost to time, so even though you will not be able to use it to strengthen your bones, you can make your skin and muscles impenetrable! To use this technique you must absorb the essence or mana of metals, and infuse them into your body. This is a long and arduous process for most martial artists, although there are breathing techniques and circulation techniques that can enhance the process.
[Nature's Mana Circulation]
Rank: F- (Growth)
Mostly regarded as an inferior mana circulation technique, its true abilities shine through when someone deeply connected to the natural world wields it. This technique allows you to absorb mana from any inanimate object in the natural world. From Metal, to water, to even thunder and lightning. Once truly mastered, the elements of the natural world bend for the user.
Being able to absorb mana from anything in the natural world huh… sounds like the perfect technique to use with [Metal Body Tempering]. I smiled brightly and chuckled.
"I guess [Fortune's Chosen] is already taking effect! How truly fortunate it was to raise my luck! Thank you for the suggestion Alexa. Now I can truly start preparing for that fateful day. Zeus! Wait for me uncle! The day in which your kingdom will crumble in front of your eyes will arrive soon!" I roared into the air, something deep within me welling up and howling in rage. The ground beneath me cratered and shook under the force of my yell. A dark smile split my face as I repeated the tragedies that happened to me over and over again in my mind. Solidifying my will to fight once more. "Never again will I be a dog of Olympus! If I must become a monster to slay a monster, I shall. If I must become a demon to slay a god, I shall! Nothing in this universe will stop me from erasing you from existence!" I cried out to the universe. To whoever could hear as hate welled up and burst forth from inside me. An uncontrollable, ugly, detestable feeling. Even though I knew it could lead to my destruction, it was a tool to use. A powerful tool to motivate me. So I would continue to use this evil. Until the promised day arrives.
After all. Sometimes you must fight fire…. With fire
AN: hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed this chapter. I know it has been quite a while since I have uploaded so sorry about that. I have not felt very motivated to write lately so that is why. I also want to let you know I plan to incorporate a bit of martial arts into this story, as I am sure you noticed from the panels above. I am definitely going to be going with a much darker Percy, which will shine through more at certain times. Since he does not have the fates moving things forward for him, it will be completely up to his own luck whether or not things work out for him. So I hope you look forward to that!
