*So this second short is during TS2 after Woody and Jessie get off the plane. This explains how the gang got home.*

"We did it, we did it!" Jessie said, jumping off of Bullseye. She and Woody had just jumped off the plane using Woody's pull string and landed safely on the back of Bullseye. She pulled Woody off the horse and hugged him tight.

"Nice roping, cowboy!" Buzz said, getting off Bullseye as well.

"That was definitely Woody's finest hour!" Jessie said, jumping on Woody's back. Woody laughed, swinging her around.

"Your hat, partner." Buzz said, handing Woody his hat. Woody took it and laughed again just as another plane flew over them. They all huddled together as the plane landed on the tarmac a few feet ahead.

"Let's...go home." Woody said.

"How? We're so far from the loading zone." Jessie said.

"Bullseye can get us back, can't you pal?" Bullseye nodded and licked Woody's face. Buzz jumped on his back.

"Hop on you two!" He said. "All right, Bullseye, back to the loading zone. Yah!" Bullseye neighed and they raced off down the runway. They were almost to the hanger when a luggage cart came flying down the runway straight towards them.

"Look out!" Jessie shrieked. Buzz pulled Bullseye to the left and managed to avoid the cart. The cart stopped suddenly. Sitting in the driver's seat was Hamm. Down at the pedals was Slinky and on the passenger seat was Rex, Potato Head and three green aliens.

"Buzz, Woody, get in!" Hamm cried. They all climbed on the seat. "Floor it, Slink!"

"Did you guys seriously steal a luggage cart?" Woody said, sternly.

"Hey, it was just sitting there, so why not?"

"Yeah, calm down Woody. Potato Head said. We couldn't take the Pizza Planet truck, cause it got towed, so we had to use something else."

"Hold on, you stole a pizza delivery truck too!?"

"How else were we supposed to make it to the airport on time?" Hamm said. "Rex, get up here and navigate!"

"Coming!" Rex yelled. Woody rubbed his forehead.

"Oh this is so not good. What if someone sees us?"

"It will be fine, sheriff. Buzz said. Besides, this will get us home in time before Andy comes back."

"So this Andy. He's the real deal, right? A good kid?" Jessie asked. Woody placed a hand on her shoulder.

"He's the real deal, Jess. I swear to you, he's going to love you. You have my word that everything will be alright. I'll help you get settled in once we get back." Jessie smiled. "In the meantime, let me introduce you to the gang. The Hog at the wheel is Hamm. Rex is up on the dashboard, Slinky is down at the pedals, and the snarky spud is Potato head. Guys, this is Jessie."

"Hi Jessie!" Hamm and Rex said.

"Pleased to meet you!" Slinky yelped from down on the ground.

"Sorry about going all angry eyes on you earlier." Potato head said.

"Oh, was that what you were going for? Jessie asked. I was a bit confused why you put shoes where your eyes should've been."

"Yeah, he's not the brightest spud on the potato farm." Hamm said, laughing.

"J, Jes, Jessie. Buzz started to say, making her turn. I, I'm, B, Buzz..."

"This is Buzz Lightyear, space ranger, and my best friend." Woody said, shaking Buzz.

"Huh, a space toy." Jessie said. She looked Buzz up and down, remembering what Prospector had told her about them.

"Yes..." Buzz coughed and cleared his throat. "Pleased to make your acquaintance, Miss Jessie." Jessie's eyes widened and then softened. This space toy was actually polite.

"Oh! Why, the pleasure is all mine, Buzz. And please, just Jessie is fine."

"As you wish, Jessie." Buzz said, smiling. Jessie smiled back. The space ranger felt heat in his face, but ignored it. The cart had made it out onto the streets as they continued their journey home. Woody and Buzz told Jessie and Bullseye all about Andy and filled her in on the other toys, and she listened, hanging onto every word, excitement growing in her eyes.

"Homeward Ho!" Hamm shouted. Buzz and Woody climbed onto the dash and saw the familiar house come into view. Jessie climbed up in between them.

"There it is, Jess. Your new home. Are you ready?" Jessie looked ahead, nervously. He touched her arm. "Hey, you can do this. This is a good home, and they are good toys here. And I'll be there beside you every step of the way. Trust me." Jessie took a deep breath, smiled at him, and looked at her new home. She was ready.

Awe! See, this is how I imagined Woody and the gang getting back home, and I could see Woody reassuring Jessie, telling her she's not alone anymore. Next short is coming soon!
