*Hello all! This is a one shot story taking place during 'My Little Rose'. It's a little more of an explanation about the ring Woody gave to Rosetta during his wedding. Also, include the entire ceremony, including a small speech Woody gives to Rosetta. Here we go!*
**I'm placing this in with 'Tales from the toy Chest, since it fits in with the rest of the shorts**
Woody held the tiny circle in his hand, carefully carving a small flower into the center. Once he was done, he took a tiny paintbrush and outlined the flower red, and its leaves green. He added the final touch on the inside and then held it up, checking it over for mistakes.
"What are you up to over here, cowboy?" Buzz asked, startling Woody. He turned to his friend.
"Jesus, Buzz. Have you been standing there this whole time?" Woody asked.
"I've been here long enough. Wow, that is beautiful, Woody. Did you make this entirely by hand?"
"Yes I did. I found the necessary materials and have been working through the night to get it finished. Bo has her ring, I want Rose to have a special ring as well. What do you think?"
"She'll love it Woody, because it came from you, her adoptive father." Woody smiled.
Thanks buddy."
Four days later, on Christmas day night, the gang decorated Andy's room into the perfect Christmas scene with fake snow, lights, and a tree they found on an evergreen in the backyard. Instrumental Christmas music played in the background as Woody stood in front of the tree, donning a black tie and suit jacket.
"Hey sheriff, are you ready?" Buzz asked.
"Absolutely." Woody said.
"Then let's get you married, Woodster!" Hamm said, coming up on his left side. "Rex, change the track please!" Rex was at the computer and switched the music to canon in D. Rosetta came down first, dressed in red dress with a white sash carrying a basket of red rose petals, dropping them along the aisle. When she got to Woody, he kneeled down and hugged her, kissing her lightly on the cheek. The girl went to the side as Jessie and Bo appeared at the end of the aisle. Jessie had on a red jacket and had holly berries in her braid. Bo looked radiant, swapping out her shepherdess dress for a short, cap sleeve gown with a red sash. She had on a small veil and carried a bouquet of red roses and holly berries. When they got to the front, Jessie hugged Bo and her brother before standing beside Rosetta.
"Hey you." Bo said, smiling at Woody.
"Hello beautiful." Woody said, making Bo blush. Hamm cleared his throat.
"Friends, we are gathered here today on this joyous holiday to bring together Sheriff Woody Pride and Bo Peep in matrimony. Woody and Bo, today, you celebrate one of life's greatest moments and give recognition to the worth and beauty of love, as you join together in the vows of marriage. Please join hands." Bo handed off her bouquet to Jessie and took Woody's hands.
"Bo, do you take Woody to be your husband, promising to love, honor and cherish him, forsaking all others for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do." Bo said.
"And Woody, do you take Bo to be your wife, promising to love, honor, and cherish her, forsaking all others for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do." Woody said.
"The rings please." Bo took Woody's from Jessie and turned to him.
"Woody, I stand before you as a woman with no reservations, choosing to spend the rest of my life with a man for whom I have the utmost respect and love for. I hope to grow with you in mind and spirit, and to live together all the days of our lives forever and for always." She slid a ring on his finger. Woody took a deep breath.
"My darling Bo, Today I proclaim my love for you and vow to share my life with you in everything life has to offer us. You are the most generous person I have ever known-kind, honest, and beautiful. I take you as my wife and the mother of our wonderful daughter, from this day forward, now and forever. You will always be my first and only true love." He slid the ring on her finger. Bo nodded and turned to Rosetta.
"Rose, come here sweetie." She said. Rose looked confused, but came to Bo's side.
"Our dearest Rosetta, today in front of our friends and family, Bo and I are over the moon and want to officially introduce you as our daughter. Woody said, looking down at her. From the day we met you, we instantly fell in love with you and wanted to call you our own. We are not perfect, but that doesn't mean our love for you isn't. You have given us the gift of being parents and we vow to do all we can to give you everything you deserve and more."
"We vow to cheer you on through all of your achievements, hold you when you are upset, protect you, respect you, listen to you, but above all, love you with all of our hearts." Bo said. Woody dropped to one knee in front of her and took the ring out of his holster.
"I made this for you, baby girl. Wear this ring and know that you are so loved by your mother and I, your Aunt Jessie, Uncle Buzz, and everyone else in this room. Wear it and know that your mother and I will forever love you and be with you wherever you go, no matter what for as we live." He slid the ring on her finger. As he did, she held a hand over her mouth and then jumped into his arms, hugging him. Bo hugged her as well.
"I love you, mom and dad. So, so much!" She whispered, kissing both their cheeks. They hugged her close and then stood facing one another again.
"Now that you have proclaimed your vows to one another, and a very special vow to Rosetta, I am honored to pronounce you husband and wife. Go head and kiss your bride, Woodster!" Woody pulled her down to the side and gave her the biggest, most passionate kiss in the history of kisses ever. His friends cheered. He felt like the luckiest man in the world. He had a great owner, amazing friends, and one hell of a family. He was on top of the world, and the celebration had only begun...
*So as to the Pride family series, any more one shots I do about them are just going to be placed in this story.*
