Chapter 19

Aria's pov

Hanna and Maya are currently getting ready in the other room, while I try to get Spencer to eat something. But even though she needs to start getting ready soon, Spencer keeps getting up to go check on one thing or another or to even use the restroom. I silently sighed as Spencer set her fork down for the third time and quickly went to make sure our bouquets are perfect; even though she has checked them three times already and even retied one of the navy blue ribbons that hold our bouquets together. Despite knowing she'll be worrying about time; she keeps putting off eating and I'm about to hold her down to make her eat. As Spencer sat back down, I stabbed some omelet onto her fork and handed it to her.

"You can't get married if you pass out before your vows. Now eat, before I get Toby in here to make you eat." I told her as she put the bite into her mouth.

"Aria, I meant what I said last night." She managed between chewing.

"Okay... Spence, you said a lot of things last night." I pointed out.

"I'm going to plagiarize your words a little, so don't come suing me. We both know all you girls will be the godmothers, but I want you to be… Mason's main godmother." She said softly.

"Oh my god, you're having a boy?" I asked, tearing up.

"Well, it's still too early for the doctor to confirm, but I just know it's a boy. But we don't have to name him Mason, just say the word and -." She started rambling and I placed my hands on top of her.

"Spencer, I'd be honored to be Mason's main godmother. I already told you the name Mason isn't going to freak me out. Do you guys have a middle name picked out yet." I asked.

She shook her head as we heard a door open and I looked to see someone walk in from one of the other rooms. Looking back at Spencer, we realized we didn't recognize who it was and we turned back around to see it was Maya. Even though we're all doing a nude smokey eye, we're doing different eyeliner looks and different lip colors. Maya has a thick flick, which really suits her and goes well with the angel pink lipstick by M.A.C. Maya looked at us, raising an eyebrow and I saw how well her side ponytail suits her.

"You look amazing." Spencer said.

"Thanks, Hanna should be done in a few minutes. She's trying to decide which lipstick she wanted to use." Maya said.

As the words left her mouth; Hanna walked out with her hair in a half up half down fishtail braid, mermaid eyeliner look and a peach pink nude lipstick which I know for a fact is Marc Jacobs. Maya sat down next to me as Hanna poured herself a mimosa and Spencer went to go get her hair and makeup done, I had already gotten my hair and makeup done while the girls were still having breakfast. Waking up at six in the morning on Oliver time can come in handy… very rarely, but it can.

"Loving that color on you, what is it?" Maya asked.

"I did catfight by NARS." I told her.

There was a knock on the door and I quickly got up to open the door for Toby, who looked me up and down when he saw me. Knowing what Toby's here for, Maya quickly got up from the table and went to be on the look out for Spencer. Luckily, we all knew what time Spencer was getting her hair and makeup done, and that it would probably take her the longest.

"When you said you were going to do curls, I was thinking of Taylor Swift curls from her debut album. Not these soft curls." Toby said.

"No, we learned I look terrible with those kinds of curls in sixth grade… or do you not remember?" I asked, holding back my laughter as he leaned closer to look at my eyes.

"I will never understand makeup." He said backing up.

"Thank you again, Ar. Obviously, I'd like to give it to her myself…. but she'd freak if I saw her before the wedding." He said, handing me the jewelry boxes.

"You're my brother Tobes, there's nothing I wouldn't do for you. You know, except anything that involves clowns then you're on your own." I told him.

"She's coming back." Maya hissed.

Toby took his cue to leave and headed back to the groomsmen suite. Shutting the door, I quickly hid the boxes behind my back as Spencer walked out and looked at me slightly confused. I need to give these presents to her without her guessing what it is, which luckily, I doubt she will. She gave up her dream of getting married with this after it broke when Melissa ripped it out of her hands after Peter gave them to her when she and Toby announced their engagement. Everyone knew that their Nana left it to Spencer in her will, it had been known even years before their nana even passed away.

"Forgot my veil… what are you hiding?" She inquired, picking up her veil.

"Remember how I told you that I'd take care of your nana's pearls?" I asked.

"Yes?" Spencer responded, slightly more confused.

"Here, this is the best I could do." I said.

I handed her the jewelry box, she opened it. She stared at the three row bracelet that I had remade with the pearls from her nana's multi strand pearl necklace. I still remember when we were six and her nana Eleanor told us how Spencer's granddad bought it for her as an engagement present, but he had brought her estranged sister Estelle with to help him pick it out since she was Eleanor's only living family by then and because he had no idea what he was doing.

"Oh my god, Aria!" Spencer exclaimed.

"I called the Tiffany's in Philly and explained everything. When Toby and I went in, he saw these and I decided to have a bracelet made." I added, handed her Toby's present.

"Ar… I'm gonna cry." She said, trying to hold her tears back.

"Spence, you've been dreaming of wearing your nana's pearls ever since we were little. There was no way I was about to let you get married without them, even if it's not how you dreamt." I told her.

"I love you Aria." She said, trying not to cry.

"Love you too, now open Toby's gift." I responded and she quickly opened the second box.

"He actually picked it out himself?" She asked.

I nodded as she handed me the necklace, one of the photographers started snapping pictures of us. As we turned to face the wall mirror, I quickly clasped the necklace around her neck and she placed the earrings in. Hugging her from behind, I rested my chin on her shoulder and shared a look with her through the mirror. All the memories of us growing up, ran through my mind and I still remember every dumb fight we ever had. Especially when we were just fighting about whether The Notebook or The Titanic was better… I had won that one.

"I'm so happy you two found each other." I said softly.

"Well, we have you to thank." She reminded me as a door opened.

"Spencer? We still need to get you ready hon." Iris, the cosmetologist said.

"Crap forgot about that. When you get Emily for our first look photos, give Toby a kiss for me." Spencer said before rushing back into the other room.

…..

Knocking on the door, I looked around the hall and waited. It's almost time for the first look with Spencer, and I'm not about to let us get behind schedule. As I was about to start banging on the door, the door opened and I saw Ezra standing there in his suit. Walking over to Toby, I quickly placed my hand on my lips before gently smacking him and getting Caleb to laugh. Emily came over and fix a strand of hair for me, her hair is completely straightened and looks amazing and so does the Myth lipstick by M.A.C.

"Em, it's time for the first look photos." I told her.

"What was that for?" Toby asked.

"Spencer wanted me to kiss you for her, obviously I wasn't going to actually kiss you." I explained.

"Em has the straight and Ar has the wavy waves." Caleb pointed out laughing.

"I'll assume he means our hair. Mike, please tell me he's not drunk." I said, looking at Mike.

"No, but for some reason he barely slept." Mike said.

"Probably because you kept kicking him in your sleep and he toughed it out until three hours ago. I on the other hand have been up since the dawn of time with Ollie, who is now taking a small nap." Ezra said.

"Oh, poor baby with the lack of sleep because of your kid, try doing that every day. Come on Em, we better get going." I said.

Emily and I rushed down the hall, back to our suite. Opening the door, we saw Mary and Ella sitting in the chairs while Luna and Sophie; dressed in their sleeveless navy tulle dresses with flower embellished ribbon belt were twirling for everyone. Sophie was going to wear a dusty blue dress, but Luna wanted to match her, so Spencer decided that they would both wear navy. Just as I shut the door, one of the room doors opened we turned to see Spencer coming out and the photographers started snapping photos.

"Oh my god… Spencer." Hanna said, dabbing her eyes

"You look so beautiful." Emily sniffed

"I'm gonna cry, you look perfect." I said, tearing up again.

She looks absolutely beautiful; her hair is in a low braided bun with a few front pieces framing her face with the veil resting under her bun. With her nude eyeshadow, 999 red lipstick, and small winged eyeliner… she could be mistaken for someone out of an old Hollywood film. The simple cluster drop diamond necklace and earrings Toby picked out looks like they have been made for her. They go perfect with her off the shoulder, trumpet skirt gown with a simple beaded ribbon belt, of course her something borrowed are Mary's white Prada saffiano leather heels.

"Spencie a pwincess!" Luna giggled.

"It's like only yesterday you girls were playing dress up. Now you're getting married, and it's not one of your girl's pretend weddings. The one where you married Jake Gyllenhaal and Aria tried to steal you away." Ella said, wiping her tears away.

"My baby, you look so beautiful." Mary said, taking Spencer's hands in hers.

The photographer caught every moment as Mary carefully pulled Spencer in for a hug. Emily handed me a tissue and I carefully dabbed at my eyes. Hopefully, none of our makeup will smudge or smear before the ceremony because we may not have the time to fix our makeup. As Mary and Ella excused themselves to go check on the guys and make sure Peter is doing what he needs to do before we get down to the ballroom; Spencer walked over towards me, taking my hands in hers and we shared a look.

"No one I would choose to steal me away from Jake at my pretend wedding. Toby may be my soulmate, but you're the love of my life Ar." Spencer said softly.

We stared at each other before bursting out laughing with the girls. As much as Spencer loves Grey's Anatomy, it's shocking that she misquoted it… especially since she saw that episode like a million times. Even if she hadn't seen it a million times, she has to have photogenic memory or something since she remembers every single thing. I could have punched her when we were two and she'd remember it.

"Even though we all know you didn't mean to quote Greys Anatomy wrong, you're the love of my life too." I said giggling with her.

"After the boys." We said together, still giggling.

"So, Aria already knows but I wanted to wait a little bit before telling you girls, but I can't wait any longer…. Toby and I are pregnant." Spencer said, turning to look at the girls.

"Oh my god!" Maya exclaimed.

"You're having a baby?" Emily asked, tearing up.

"Can't believe you're going to be a mommy." I told her.

"That's so amazing." Hanna said.

Spencer pulled us in for a group hug as I felt a pang of jealousy, the girls didn't react like that when I told them Ezra and I are expecting again. Well, actually more like slipped about it. Ugh! It does not matter if they didn't react the same way, this is Spencer's first pregnancy and she deserves these excited responses and not my weird jealousy. Pulling away from us, Spencer quickly walked over towards Mary's bag that was on the couch and pulled out some small boxes. I shared a look with Hanna and Maya as Spencer handed us each our own box.

"You four have been my sisters since forever and there's no one else in the world I would want to go through life. I love you girls… so much." Spencer said.

We each opened the small silver boxes to see name necklaces in rose gold, the chains were delicate until it reached our names, which are in a cursive font that I know for a fact is Allura from when she taught me how to write in different cursive fonts when we were in third grade. The girls and I quickly helped one another with our necklaces as Spencer went to give Sophie and Luna their matching rose gold heart lockets that has their initials

"L for Luna?" Luna asked as Spencer put her locket on for her.

"Yeah, L for Luna… or Love." Spencer responded with a soft smile.

"Lamb!" Luna giggled.

"I'm head back to the grooms suite, see you guys in a bit." Emily said.

Emily quickly kissed Maya before rushing out the door as Maya slipped her gold caged heels on and Hanna picked up her gold glitter peep toe Christian Louboutin heels. Luna skipped over to me and held her arms up to hold her, which I knew would only last until Ella comes back. She has always been the spitting image of mom with dad's eyes, but now she looks more like both of them equally.

"Han, where did you get those Louboutin's?" Spencer asked.

"I didn't steal them if that's what you're asking. But actually, Olivia got them for me as a thank you present before I came back home." Hanna explained.

"Not what I was asking, but good to know. But seriously, Olivia Rainford loves you." Spencer teased

"Wait, Olivia Rainford? I knew you were working for an Olivia that's a fashion designer but it never crossed my mind that it was Olivia Rainford!" Maya squealed as Luna squirmed in my arms.

"I'm thinking Maya has a crush on your boss Han." I giggled.

Setting Luna back down, I sat down in one of the chairs and watched her start twirling again. I slipped my gold Badgley Mischka block heels, hearing my phone beep, indicating I had a text and walked over to the table. Picking up my phone, I saw it was Toby asking for me to come help him with something. He has Emily, Caleb, Mike, and Ezra with him and yet he still needs my help for whatever…. Probably for something simple.

"Hey, I'll be back in about ten minutes at the most. Toby needs help with something." I told Maya.

I quickly left the room and headed down the hall once again. Knocking on the door, I pulled out my key to their room and opened the door to see that the guys were all fully dressed and they didn't look bad either. Seeing Emily fixing her hair a bit by Ezra, I saw how mazing she looks in her bridesmaid dress. Even though she had gone back and forth with herself on it for quite some time, Spencer made the right choice by having the girls and I wear the same dress, which is a dusty blue Rouched bodice floor length A-line gown in chiffon with a sweetheart neckline and delicate spaghetti straps. All of us in dusty blue with gold accents works a lot better since all the guys are in navy blue suits. I looked around for Toby, and saw Caleb still getting ready. He came over from somewhere and handed me his dusty blue tie.

"I need help with my tie." Toby said.

"Let's see, four people here and you needed my help?" I asked, tying it for him.

"This is our thing; I need help with doing the simplest thing then you make fun of me for it." He pointed out.

"Twenty two and still no idea how to tie a tie." I teased.

"Well, you do it best." He said.

"Wanky." Emily and I both said smirking.

"Pretty sure you shouldn't say that about your sister." Caleb said as my phone beeped.

'The photographer wants to do a couple more photos of the bridesmaids before the ceremony… including the groomsmaid. – Maya'

"Em, we're needed. She'll come back when we're done." I said.

"Now that really sounds wanky." Mike said and we all turned to stare at him.

"Don't you ever say wanky again Michael. Especially to me… I'm your sister." I told him.

"We're terrible influences." Emily managed while laughing.

"Hold up, where are my sons?" I asked, looking at Ezra.

"They're in the other room, having a snack before we go down." He said.

"Okay, just make sure they brush their teeth." I reminded him and he nodded.

…..

Half an hour later

Spencer's pov

Taking a deep breath, I glanced at my dad nervously and he squeezed my hand. Aria and Caleb were leading Oliver, Sophie, and Luna down the aisle, everyone else is already up at the altar with Toby and Father Jones. As much as I have hated waiting for today to finally come…. I just have this weird feeling that something bad is going to happen. As 'Marry Me' by Train start playing, the butterflies in my stomach started fluttering again and it's only a matter of time before I'm officially Spencer Jill Cavanaugh. I gripped my bouquet of white hydrangeas with baby's breath and took a deep breath. We started making our way into the ballroom, and the moment I locked eyes with Toby I flashed back to the day we met.

Flashback – May 1998

Spencer's pov

Aria and I were playing with our dollies at the coffee shop as mommy Ella is getting us hot cocoa. We're having a playdate and a new friend of Ria's is coming. I just hope she will still want to be my friend too; I don't have anyone else... Melissa doesn't always play with me unless daddy makes her. I looked down at my Belle dress and my hair fell out of the bun mommy Ella attempted to do for me.

"Try this Spencie." Aria said.

She took her yellow bow out of her dolly's hair and placed it in mine, pushing my hair out of my face. Smiling at her, I fixed her evil fairy horns that was slowly falling down. Giggling, she squealed and grabbed my hand and led me over to a boy with his daddy and momma Ella, who left the three of us alone and went back to the counter. Pretty sure our hot cocoa is ready; it's already been four minutes and it doesn't take long to make hot cocoa. I learned that yesterday, making cocoa with Nana.

"Tobias!" Aria squealed.

"Spencie, Tobias my new brother." Ria said happily.

"Not your brother." He said.

"Yes you are, because I said so, Tobias." Aria told him.

"Hi, I'm Spencer." I said happily.

"Hi there, I go by Toby." He said, he has really pretty blue eyes.

"We're playing dollies, you can play a dolly or a dinosaur or even a monster truck." Aria said.

"What kind of dinosaur?" He asked curiously.

"We'll show you!" I said.

I led them towards to mine and Aria's spot at the couch as some little boy came up and started picking up our dollies. We walked up as he was picking up Aria's favorite dolly, Scarlett O' something. I looked over towards mommy Ella and toby's daddy, but they're in deep conversation and mommy told me I should never interrupt grown up's conversations… but this boy is taking our toys!

"Hey! Those aren't yours." I told him loudly.

"They are now, I'm taking what's mine!" He said.

"No, you're not. Those aren't your toys." Aria said, reaching for her dolly.

"Who's gonna stop me?" He asked, pushing her back.

"I am." Toby said.

Toby got between Aria and the meanie. The boys stared at each other and I looked over at Aria, she was trying not to cry. Her Scarlett dolly is her favorite because her uncle Scott gave it to her as an early birthday present. Neither of us know what's going on, or what we should do since we can't interrupt mommy Ella and Toby's daddy. Before I knew it, Toby took Aria's dolly from the meanie and gave it back to her.

"Whatever." The meanie huffed and walked off without our dollies.

"Thank you." Aria and I said.

"Can we keep him? He's tall and can keep us safe from clowns!" Aria exclaimed and I nodded.

"Toby, your ours now." We said together.

"You're both mine too." He said, looking at us.

End of Flashback.

Snapping out of my flashback, my dad and I finally reached the altar, Toby and I stared into each other's eyes as we heard everyone sit back down and he gave me a small smile. At least I can't see any of the girls because I know that if I see them crying, I'm going to start crying too and won't be able to make it through the ceremony… especially if I see Aria crying.

"We are all gathered here today, to witness the union between Spencer and Toby. Who gives this woman to this man?" Father Jones asked.

"Her mother and I do." My dad said.

After placing my hand in Toby's and kissing my cheek, he sat back down with our parents, Melissa, Wren, Alex, Luna, and Oliver. We knew that Oliver and Luna wouldn't make it through the entire ceremony standing up, so we just decided to have them sit with our parents after walking up to the altar. Turning to Aria, she gave me a wink as I handed her my bouquet and turned back to Toby and Father Jones.

"We are gathered here today-." Father Jones started.

There was a loud noise outside of the ballroom and the doors flung open. We all turned to see Veronica storming in and my mouth suddenly went dry. I haven't seen or heard from her in years, and all of a sudden she's here, stomping her feet on the navy, gold, and dusty blue rose petals towards us… at my wedding which I wanted her nowhere near. She had the same look on her face whenever Melissa and I got into a fight, where they automatically placed all the blame on me… even if it wasn't even my fault.

"How could you not invite me to your wedding?" Veronica exclaimed.

"I don't have to explain anything to you, but how did you even know it was here?" I asked.

Why the hell is she here? How did she know where to come? None of the girls would have told her, my mom or dad definitely wouldn't have told her either. No, Melissa wouldn't be that cold hearted to do it… would she? Even if she were pissed about the flowers and whatever else made her go back her old bitchy self, she wouldn't have told Veronica after what happened junior year.

"Melissa was the only one with common courtesy to tell me!" Veronica said.

I could feel my heart racing as I turned to glare at Melissa. She actually is that cold hearted to tell Veronica, especially after dinner with her the other night. What else could this bitch do to ruin my wedding? I should have just uninvited her the other night and save me from all this god damn drama. As I looked from Melissa back to Veronica, I saw my parents were just as pissed at Melissa, and it's pretty clear that Alex is more worried about me.

"Give me one good reason why you should've been invited after the way you treated me for sixteen years!" I snapped.

As she opened her mouth, I couldn't hear whatever bullcrap was coming out. All of a sudden; I felt myself slightly shaking as Aria and Caleb quickly stalked towards Melissa and Veronica. Someone whispered something about getting someone air… oh, they mean me. Oh god, what if this is my fault? Melissa wouldn't have told Veronica if I had just changed my wedding flower. Hearing a door closed, I realized I was in the side hallway with Toby. How do I not remember even walking out here?

"I'm sorry." I started apologizing.

"Shh, don't apologize." Toby said quietly.

As he pulled me in his arms, my overwhelming emotions over Melissa and Veronica took over me and I couldn't hold back the tears. God, I hate crying in front of people… even if it's just Toby or even Aria. Melissa and Veronica always told me that crying in front of anyone makes me look weak and vulnerable, which my opponents could use against me either on the field or in the real world.

"Spence just remember to breathe; In and out. They're being escorted out right now…. and probably murdered by Aria if Caleb can't hold her back." He whispered.

"I had a feeling that something bad would happen." I managed.

"Sixteen years of treating me like Cinderella, and now she wants to try to make herself the victim because she wasn't invited? Such bullcrap, she can't just treat me like a burden then act like she never did." I cried and starting to feel nauseous.

"Hey, everything is going to be okay. Breathe Spence, you know stress isn't good for you or the baby." He said softly, slowly rubbing my back.

Taking a few more deep breathes, I carefully wiped my eyes and felt Toby brush his lips to my forehead. I am definitely cutting Melissa out of my life when we get back from Hawaii, as much as I'll miss our short lived friendly relationship, I don't want to deal with her wanting to be friends one day then go back to her old bitchy self the next. She said things have changed… but what the hell did change, is it that I'm still with Toby and having his baby? Is she jealous that she didn't get a big white wedding and a kid with Ian? Or was wanting to improve our relationship just a game to her… like Alison had done during high school.

"How are you feeling now?" He asked quietly.

"A little nauseous." I groaned.

"With vomiting or without?" He inquired.

"Without." I told him.

"Here, figured these might come in handy in case you or Aria got nauseous during the ceremony." He said softly, handing me a saltine cracker out of his pocket.

"Thank you, what if I had said with?" I asked, receiving a soft chuckle.

"Well, in my other pocket, I have mints." He whispered.

"You want to know something?" I asked.

"Tell me." He murmured, taking my hand in his.

"Unlike Cinderella, I've always had my prince charming." I said and brushed my lips to his.

An hour later

The ceremony had gone by so fast after Toby calmed me down and we came back in, and we're only moments away from officially being married. After a year and half of planning and making sure everything for the ceremony is completely perfect, it'll be over soon. Father Jones is going on reciting the old Hastings pronouncement that was written by someone in the family probably centuries ago. I would have preferred it have not been read, but it means a lot to my dad.

"And by the state of Pennsylvania, I now pronounce you husband and wife…. You may kiss the bride." Father Jones declared.

Toby gave me a small smile as he cupped my face and brushed his lips against mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck as the girls couldn't control their sobs and the kids were getting grossed out. After the long year and a half of wait and planning… We're finally married, and I am now Spencer Jill Cavanaugh.
