*Hey guys. In a few short days it will be Halloween! So to get us all geared up, I've got my rewrite of Toy Story of Terror! I'm going to change a few things, but the rest should be the same. Rosetta is in this one also. Enjoy!*

It was a dark and stormy night...

Well it was dark in the trunk of Mrs. Anderson's car, but it was also warm and dry. There was also a little light from a small DVD player, on which Woody, Jessie, Buzz, Rosetta, Rex, Trixie, Potato Head, and Pricklepants were watching Hocus Pocus. It was the scene where Thackery Binx was cornered by the three Sanderson sisters.

"Run Binx, run!" Rex cried.

"There's nowhere for him to run, Rex. Potato Head said. Those witches have him right where they want him."

"Daddy, what's going to happen to Binx?" Rosetta said, holding onto Woody tightly. They watched as the sisters recited a spell.

Onscreen, the boy winced and slowly turned into a black cat. Rosetta gasped.

"Poor Binx." She said.

"Oh come on, a cat? Jessie said. Guys, this isn't scary! Let's pop in Frankenstein in..." Suddenly the car bounced. In the back seat, Bonnie woke up from a nap.

"Are we there yet?" She asked.

"Not for a few more hours, Bonnie. Mom said. Why don't you go back to sleep?" And Bonnie did just that. Mom hit another bump, knocking Jessie off the toolbox she was sitting on. She fell back into the box and the box rolled over shut, locking her in. Everyone else had gotten knocked to the side.

"Did anyone hear the sound of a tire popping?" Rex asked.

"You're hearing things again, Rex." Potato Head said.

"Hey! Get me out of here!" Jessie yelled, making them all turn.

"Jessie." Buzz said. He got up and ran to the box.

"We've got to help her." Woody said. He went to the other side of the box. The two tried to pry open the lid, but they couldn't get it open. Then Buzz spotted a crowbar a few inches away. Grabbing it, it jammed the pointed end under the box.

"On three, Woody. One, two, three!" They both jumped down onto the crowbar, jerking the toolbox free. Jessie tumbled out onto the lid, gasping. "Jessie? It's okay, you're safe."

"What's wrong with Jessie?" Trixie whispered to Potato Head.

"She was abandoned in a box for years." He whispered back. Rosetta gasped and went over to her aunt and hugged her.

"We've got you, aunt Jessie. You're okay now." Jessie hugged her, still gasping.

"I, I couldn't...I couldn't get out." Buzz took her hand and went to say something when they heard Bonnie's voice.

"Mom, can I bring my toys in?" Bonnie said. Buzz scooped up Jessie and got her into Bonnie's suitcase as Woody put the toolbox back in the corner. They heard the trunk open and just before Bonnie's mom grabbed the bag, Rosetta saw her aunt's hat lying on the floor. Quickly she grabbed it and pulled it into the bag.

Bonnie and her mom raced against the rain and got inside the lobby of a motel. The zipper of Bonnie's bag slid open and Pricklepants looked out.

"Ah, a roadside motel. The perfect setting for any horror film. He said ominously. Remote, isolated..."

"Knock it off, Pricklepants." Woody snapped. Rosetta was hiding under his arm.

"I'm only stating the obvious, Woody. Stormy night, flat tire, roadside hotel, all things fitting for a horror movie."

"You're forgetting that it's also a great place to get lost!" Rosetta gasped and Jessie tensed up. Buzz gripped her hand.

"No one is going to get lost. We'll all be fine and be out of here soon. He said calmly. What's the latest Trix?"

"Ugh, she's still on the phone with the tow truck company." Trixie said, listening to Bonnie's mom.

"Six am?! That's the earliest you can get here?" Bonnie's mom asked.

"Six am? That means we have to stay here all night?" Rex asked.

"Bum, Bum, bum!" Pricklepants said.

"Alright, enough. Woody said, standing. This is just a minor setback. So we stay the night, wait for the tow truck, and then we get back on the road. Simple as that. Everyone okay with that?" He turned towards his sister who was still shaken up. "Jess?" She looked up at him.

"I don't care where we are, Woody, as long as I never have to be in that box again." She said softly.

"You won't, Jessie. I promise." Buzz said to her. Jessie softened a little and smiled at him. They heard the manager get them signed in and then assigned them to a room.

"I'm going to put you in room seven. The manager said. We have a little saying here: At the Sleep well motel, you're going to sleep well."

After getting settled in their room, Bonnie and her mom went quickly to sleep. In Bonnie's bag, the toys began to stir.

"Finally, time to check this place out." Potato Head said.

"Where are you going?" Jessie asked.

"I told Hamm I'd bring him back something nice."

"Typically, the first to leave in a horror film is the first to get it." Pricklepants said.

"Oh Potato Head, did you not hear what I said earlier? Woody said. This is one of the easiest places for a toy to get lost!"

"Oh would you shut your worry hole, Woody? I'll be fine." The spud jumped out of the bag. Soon Trixie and Pricklepants began to follow him.

"Hold up, where are you two going?" Rosetta asked.

"We just want to check out the free stuff." Trixie said.

"Plus if something does happen to the potato, I don't want to miss it!" Pricklepants said.

"Guys come on, don't leave the...oh for crying out loud!" Woody snapped. He sighed. "Buzz, will you grab Potato Head while I grab those guys?"

"Got it, sheriff." Buzz said.

"Rose, stay with Aunt Jessie."

"Wait, Buzz! Don't go out there!" Jessie cried.

"I'll be right back, Jessie. Don't worry." Buzz said, kissing her cheek.

"It will be okay, aunt Jessie." Rosetta said. But Jessie didn't hear her. She started to panic as she saw the sides of the bag start to cave in on her, almost as if it was going to swallow her up. Grabbing Rosetta's hand, she jumped out of the bag. "Guys! Guys come back please!" Suddenly a dark shadow skittered past her, making her gasp.

"Jessie, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Buzz asked.

"Where is everyone, uncle?" Rose asked.

"Don't you worry, Rosie, we're all right here. See, Rex, Trixie, Pricklepants..."

"Daddy!" She ran to Woody, who was standing off to the side.

"Whoa, what are you doing out here, young lady?"

"That was my fault, bro. Jessie said. I panicked."

"No sweat, Jess. Buzz, we are all here, except Potato Head."

"Where did he go?' Trixie cried.

"And so it begins." Pricklepants said. Lighting flooded the room, making Rex shriek and Rosetta dive into her father's chest.

"Pricklepants, you're not helping." Buzz said.

"I'm just redirecting back to my original statement of this being a classic horror movie. And it is right around this time that characters start to disappear one by one. Oo, I wonder if this motel is haunted!"

"It's not haunted! Woody yelled. Ghosts are not real and we are not in a horror movie!"

"Affirmative, Woody. There has to be a rational explanation to this. Buzz said. We need to break off into groups, look for clues. Trixie with Rex, Jess with me, Pricklepants with Woody and Rosetta." They started to walk off. "If anything happens, just..." All of a sudden Rex yelled. They turned and saw him lift his foot.

"Ew, I stepped in something." Rex groaned. Buzz went over to investigate. It was a slimy substance. He sniffed it and put it to his lips.

"What is it, Buzz?" Jessie asked.

"Disgusting, that's what it is."

"It has to be monster slime!" Pricklepants cried happily.

"I'm warning you, pants. Cut it out!" Woody snapped, Rosetta gripping his vest.

"Whatever it is, Potato head managed to step in it and left us a trail of footprints. Buzz said. If we follow it, it should lead us to him."

"Hey guys, the trail leads to this vent!" Trixie cried.

"Wait, Trixie, don't!" Suddenly she was pulled into the vent by an invisible force, making the top of the vent slam shut.

"TRIXIE!" They all screamed.

*And this is where I will cut it for now. Kind of figured this would have to be cut into two parts.
