*So this short will take place after Rosetta and Owen's wedding where Woody, Bo, Jessie, Buzz, Carl, Jack, and Logan are all in Bonnie's room, catching up.*
Laughter came from under Bonnie's bed. Woody, Bo, Jessie and Buzz were sitting in a circle with Carl, Jack, and Logan, chatting.
"Oh my god, I still can't believe you planned that surprise, Jack. Woody said, laughing. I mean, how do you and Logan even know each other?"
"Oh I met this fine fellow after he, Carl, and Wheezy were donated to Rainbow Hill." Jack said.
"Actually, we met once before, when Junior and I dropped off the rest of the motel toys." Carl said.
"Ah yes, I do remember that. Carl wanted a safe place for his friends, and I was glad to offer them accommodations at Rainbow Hill."
"Wait a minute, hold on, jump back a bit. Jessie said. Carl, I thought you had gone back home to Billy?"
"Oh we were, for a few years or so."
"Would you mind sharing with us?" Bo asked.
Of course, Combat Carl would! Let's see now...Well I was reunited with Billy just a few weeks after Carl Junior and I had met you all. We were so happy to be back. Logan took over for things while we were away."
"How did you end up with Billy, Logan?" Woody asked.
"Do you remember the boy who ended up taking me home with him?" Logan asked. Woody thought for a moment, then nodded. "That ended up being Billy's grandfather, who passed me down to Billy's dad, who finally passed me onto Billy."
"Wow, three generations. Just like you, Woody." Buzz said, pushing his friend.
"That's amazing, Logan." Woody said.
"Yeah they were all great kids. Logan said. Billy was the best, always took special care of all of us. One day during spring break, Billy went on vacation with his parents and along the way, we stopped at the Sleepwell motel."
"Billy didn't have many toys, so he had brought Carl Junior, Logan and myself along for the ride. Combat Carl said. Right before we were set to leave the next morning, that blasted lizard snatched Junior and I!"
"Oh my goodness." Bo gasped.
"How long were you stuck there for?" Buzz asked.
"Two years." Carl said.
"I felt so bad after they got taken. Logan said. I kept beating myself, wishing I had done more to get them back. I even made several plans to attempt a rescue mission, but found none would work because Billy's house was too far away from the motel. So I did the next best thing I could do, and took charge, always believing that Carl and Junior would come back.
"Loyal, brave, and true. The structure of a true cowboy." Woody said. Logan smiled at that.
"So what happened after all of you got reunited?" Bo asked.
"By that time, Billy was already eight. Carl said. So we were thankful to spend six more years with Billy. When he turned fourteen, that was when he put all of us in the box and we were sent to Rainbow Hill. Jack was glad to see me and Junior and was happy to meet Logan. A few of the motel toys were still there too. Old timer, lego Bunny, and forklift girl. Pocketeer and Transatron had been taken home by different kids. Unfortunately, we found out that a kid had broken Pez Cat. We prayed for her."
"How about Wheezy? Woody asked. How did he get to Rainbow Hill?"
"I was donated about six months ago with a bunch of other small toys. Wheezy said. Mostly baby toys."
"Little pipsqueak fit right in with the rest of us. Jack said. He was also a good fit for Izzie because her smile was so big when she came in with her brother one day."
"Izzie and Joey were new kids that had started at the daycare. Carl said. Everyday they were there, they always picked up me, Angelica, Jack, and Wheezy. When they finally got big enough to leave daycare, they asked if they could take us home and the teacher let them."
"Once we were settled in with our new kids, more friends kept coming. Toothless, Rapunzel, and eventually Owen. The rest after that is what you already know because then we moved across the street." Jack said.
"That's such a wonderful story, Carl." Bo said.
"It sure is, but what about you, Logan?" Woody said.
"What about me, sheriff?" Logan asked.
"You're still at Rainbow Hill, leading the toys, which I admire, but would you like to be with a kid again? Someone like Billy?"
"One day, sure. I would love that. But until that day comes, I'm fine being the leader again. Jack was kind enough to give the position back to me and I want to do the job justice."
"He's doing a great job, the best I've ever seen. Jack said. Well aside from me." That made them all chuckle. Jack began to tell them another story as the wind picked up outside. They talked well into the night, catching up on old times.
And that's it for that one! Next one I'm going to do is Toy story that time forgot with Bo. I have three other shorts I am planning on doing, but if yawlhave any other ideas, please send them my way. Only short ideas, not long stories please. Thanks guys! Happy thanksgiving!
