Chapter 6

Kudo

"You all already know why it's important to keep quiet about Kudo, right?" before explaining anything, Asagi decided to ask this question so that his friends would understand why he wanted to talk about the detective in the first place.

"Yes, thanks to the chat from Sumire-san," Asakura said followed by Inaba and Yoshino's nod.

"We know it can be dangerous if rumors about Kudo leak outside," Inaba added with a serious look. "Yoshino told us about the possibility of Kudo working undercover, so it's important for us to hide him, but frankly speaking, we never heard such things before. Kudo's been absent for quite a long time, but even his closest friends, Mouri and Suzuki, don't seem to have that kind of awareness all this time. This is why I don't get it when you said Kudo's rumor is like a malady."

Of course they don't. How can they have that kind of awareness when Shinichi himself doesn't have any awareness about his situation? Asagi almost blurted out those words, but he managed to hold off his tongue at the last second. He would not gain any benefit from saying them. On the contrary, it might even be detrimental to him if he said them. They probably would question the basis of his words. They would ask him why he could say that Shinichi did not have any awareness. They would suspect he knew about Shinichi's mysterious case which even Ran did not. Asagi did not want that to happen. He did not want to make trouble for himself.

Asagi did not say anything about Ran and Sonoko. Instead, he chose to ask another question. "Do all of you still remember the case during the school festival?"

"I doubt anyone can forget that day," Yoshino remarked with an excited grin. "Our school festival, tainted by murder. But thankfully Kudo-kun was there to solve it. And he wasn't the only detective around! Ran-chan's dad, Mouri Kogoro, was also there. We even had a chance to meet the high school detective of the west, Hattori Heiji! Of course I remember it well! I'm sure the others still remember it too!"

Asagi was a bit taken aback by Yoshino's excited speech. He did not expect that kind of answer from anyone, but when he felt that the heavy atmosphere turned a bit relaxed, he was silently grateful. He glanced at the other two and after seeing that they did not seem to disagree with Yoshino, he smiled before continuing his explanation.

"Well, since you still remember it well, I presume you all also remember that we have to keep that case secret?"

"Of course," Inaba answered as the girls nodded.

"Since you remember, can you draw a conclusion from this event?"

The three of them were silent for a while. They looked at each other in confusion before pondering quietly. Asagi waited patiently until Asakura looked at him in hesitance.

"Are you trying to emphasize the importance of Kudo's rumor again, President?"

The president smiled. "Why do you think so?"

"Because Hattori-kun was there… and it seems Kudo-kun knows him well. Not to mention it was him who told the students to hide the case from the public. His excuse that time was because the murderer is our alumnus, so we need to keep quiet about it to protect our school's reputation, but—but I remember that at that time during his announcement, Kudo-kun had fallen unconscious. According to his classmates, that's something that certainly hadn't happened before, so…" Asakura was beginning to look worried and even scared. "Maybe… maybe Hattori-kun was aware of how dangerous the case that Kudo-kun's been working on is… since he could even faint the moment he returned. That's why Hattori-kun asked us to keep quiet about the murder. Otherwise, why should he desperately try to persuade us to hide it right after Kudo-kun fainted? It was as if he told us to keep quiet on behalf of Kudo-kun. Besides, Teitan High isn't his school. He doesn't have any obligation to care about our school's reputation." She paused before adding, "Even the police agreed to hide Kudo-kun's involvement. Kudo-kun's case—I think the danger is quite serious."

Inaba and Yoshino stared at the treasurer with wide eyes, clearly shocked to hear her speculation. However, they did not seem to disagree with her because they did not say anything after listening to her. Instead, they turned to look at the president, asking for a confirmation.

"Yes, Asakura's right. The danger of Kudo's current case can be quite serious. This is precisely why I said that Kudo's rumor was like a contagious malady. One wrong move and it may kill him. It may even kill us. Kudo's current case may put us all in danger. As the student council, we can't dismiss this probability just because Mouri and Suzuki don't seem to have any awareness about it," Asagi affirmed. After listening to Asakura, he became more certain that the police had warned the school to keep quiet about Shinichi. And since his homeroom teacher also supported his reminder this morning, it was likely the teacher had also given the same warning before. If the student council could only grasp the seriousness of Shinichi's case now, it could only mean that most of the students were still under the false impression which meant that they had been underestimating the warning all along. "I want us, the student council, to always keep that in mind. Never underestimate anything related to Kudo. Do you understand?"

"Yes," Inaba replied grimly, followed by Yoshino's determined nod and Asakura's formal "understood."

"Since you've understood, let's start thinking about what we're going to do about him. As you already know, there's a rumor about Kudo confessing to Mouri and as you already know as well, everything related to Kudo shouldn't be underestimated. We have to suppress this rumor no matter whether it is true or false. Any objection?"

"No," the three of them replied simultaneously.

"Good. Now let's start from the report about this rumor in our classes," the president continued. "I heard the rumor this morning from my classmate, Fujiwara, who claimed that he was told by someone from class B. I've also told my classmates how important it is to keep quiet about any rumor related to Kudo during homeroom and my teacher also agrees with me. What about you three?"

Yoshino, Inaba, and Asakura also reported that they had informed their classes to keep quiet about Kudo and that nobody seemed to object to their idea. Only, Asakura was a bit late because she had not read the chat yet in the morning. She had not received any support from her homeroom teacher because when she warned her classmates, it was not during homeroom and there was not any teacher in her class. She also informed that she had heard the rumor from a girl in her class who heard it from her friend from class B. Based on all these reports, Asagi concluded that it was indeed too late for him to suppress the rumor spreading among the sophomores.

"Yoshino, what about the tracing I asked you?" he asked the secretary.

"I've conducted quick tracing among students in my class, but judging by the result, I think we should just give up on keeping the rumor in my class," Yoshino answered guiltily. "I mean, many of my classmates have spread the rumor to the others outside our class. But don't worry, there's good news too: nobody in our class has spread it outside the school. Not even to our family at home, so I guess we still have a chance to keep it inside the school."

"What about the first year and third year?"

"Err… unfortunately it seems they've heard the rumor too. Some of my classmates told them through their club activities."

"This is bad. Now the only option we have is to keep it from spreading outside the school," Asakura commented displeasingly. "Seriously, just who's the culprit who spread the rumor in your class, Sumire-san?"

"Oh, that's… Sonoko-chan." This time, Yoshino sounded even guiltier. "She told us that Kudo-kun had confessed to Ran-chan in London and that all of us should support them."

"London? I didn't know that he confessed there," Inaba looked surprised. "It seems that not all of us have heard the entire rumor."

"Yes, I didn't know about that either," Asakura said, somehow with an annoyed face. "But it's Suzuki-san, huh. Sure enough, it should be her who spread that kind of rumor. She really can't shut her mouth when it's about her best friend's romance."

"Well, there's no use of blaming others now. The rumor has already been spread. What are we going to do?"

This time, three pairs of eyes stared at Asagi. They all waited for the president to direct the discussion further. Looking at them, Asagi sighed quietly. Really, it had become so troublesome. Asakura was right. The only option they had was to keep the rumor inside the school.

"Since it has come to this, I think we need to establish some new rules regarding Kudo as soon as possible," Asagi said after being silent for a while.

"Establish new rules? We have no power over such things, though?" Yoshino inquired.

"Yes, we can only give some suggestions to the teachers," Asakura added.

"Then that's what we're going to do," Asagi decided. "Let's think about some rules that need to be implemented regarding Kudo. Once we're done, we will let the teachers know."

The other three agreed with him. They soon discussed the new rules that should be implemented to prevent any rumors related to Kudo from leaking outside. After a long discussion, they finally had created some rules that they would suggest to the teachers.

"Let me cite the suggestions one more time for confirmation," Yoshino said as she held a paper with her handwriting, the result of their discussion that day.

"Yes, please do," Asagi allowed her.

"Thank you. Now, please pay attention to what I'm going to say." Yoshino cleared her throat before starting, "'Student Council's suggestion pertaining the new rules that may need to be implemented in accordance to the current situation in Teitan High School. In regards to the extraordinary circumstance of one of the students named Kudo Shinichi, class 2-B, the student council agrees that some new rules need to be implemented to ensure the safety of everyone in the school. Therefore, the student council has made some suggestions pertaining to the new rules as written below.

"Number 1: teachers, staffs, and students have to remind each other about the importance of keeping any news about Kudo Shinichi secret. Number 2: nobody is allowed to talk about Kudo Shinichi outside the school. Number 3: nobody is allowed to leak any news and/or photo which related to/or contain Kudo Shinichi to the public. This rule means that everyone is not allowed to leak any news and/or photo to the people outside Teitan High School, including family, relatives, friends, and acquaintances who do not belong to Teitan High School whether it is through offline method or online method. Number 4: Any rumor about Kudo Shinichi that has been published should be removed immediately. Number 5: If outsiders ask about Kudo Shinichi, everyone should have the same attitude and answer that can protect both Kudo Shinichi and everyone in Teitan High School. Number 6: Anyone who violates the rule will be punished according to the law. Number 7: Teitan High School needs to establish punishment for breaking the new rules as soon as possible. Number 8: the school will establish a committee to keep watch over Teitan High School members' (students, teachers, staff) social media account. Number 9: the new rules will not be published online, but will be published offline for a short period of time to avoid unwanted attention from unwanted party. Number 10: Everyone in Teitan High School should memorize and follow the new rules related to Kudo Shinichi due to its high degree of importance.' That is all."

Everyone was silent for a moment, digesting the suggestions that they just made. Feeling eerie by the quietness, Yoshino asked if there was anything wrong with the suggestions or if they still needed to add more, but none of her friends seemed to register her question since all of them were still in their own reverie. Yoshino asked once more and only then did she receive a response. It was from the president who looked the most serious out of the four.

"Hey, I'm thinking about Mouri and Suzuki," he said slowly after recalling the two girls' behavior in the manga. They always talked about Shinichi easily even when they were in public. "Yoshino, they are the source of the rumor, right?"

"Yes," the secretary nodded.

"It may be impossible to ask them to keep quiet about Kudo since Kudo himself must have been in touch with them, especially Mouri. It may be impossible to ask them to follow rule number 3."

"I guess you're right, since Kudo-kun is Mouri-san's childhood friend and has confessed to her, and that Suzuki-san is their childhood friend as well, and not to mention she's really loud. Also, Mouri-san's dad is a detective, so even if she keeps quiet, he may still be able to figure out something about Kudo-kun," Asakura agreed. "But we still need to ask them to follow the rule if it gets established. And if she can't hide it from her family, she should at least hide it from the people outside her family. The same goes for Suzuki-san."

"Yeah, so… since their situation is a bit special, I think we should pay more attention to them and talk to them about these rules once it gets established so that they won't underestimate this matter—no, perhaps it will be better if we advise them even before that."

"But will they agree with us? We're just students," Inaba argued. "We may be the student council, but to the rich and powerful people like Sonoko, we're still nothing. Besides, I know she can be quite stubborn with her own idealism."

"That's right. Although I have warned them this morning together with all my classmates, I'm not sure they will heed my warning seriously. Well, Ran-chan may agree with us if we keep reminding her about Kudo-kun—after all, I know she likes him a lot—but I doubt Sonoko-chan will. I mean, she may agree, but she will still keep asking Ran-chan about Kudo-kun. It's possible she will drag Ran-chan along with her. In the end, both of them will disagree with us. By disagree, I mean they won't heed our warning seriously," Yoshino supported the vice president. "Besides, Ran-chan is Sonoko-chan's best friend. I doubt she can keep quiet about Kudo-kun if Sonoko-chan asks her. Also, judging by the current situation, it seems Ran-chan's already used to sharing news about Kudo-kun with her. If suddenly she stops sharing, it's possible Sonoko-chan will be angry and blame us. She may even threaten us with all her wealth and influence," she added. "We don't have enough power to persuade them if the rule hasn't been established. Even if it does get to be established, I still doubt they will wholeheartedly agree. After all, we're just the student council, not someone related to Kudo-kun and certainly know nothing about him compared to them. I'm afraid we will have to beg them to agree if we want them to truly agree with us, but honestly, as a member of the student council, begging them sounds shameful to me."

Asagi was taken aback by their input. Did they fear Sonoko that much? He knew she was powerful due to her status as the heiress of Suzuki Corporation, but was she that powerful even in a neutral zone like school?

"You sounded afraid of her. I mean Suzuki," he remarked, feeling curious. "Why?"

"Of course we're afraid of her! Did you forget that one of the reasons we were chosen as the student council is due to her vote and support?" Yoshino exclaimed, but then she quickly corrected her speech. "No—I mean—well, we all did a good job during the campaign, President, but behind that, Sonoko-chan helped us gather supporters through her influence. She even donated her rich allowance to support our campaign."

"That's an exaggeration," Asakura interjected unhappily. "Even without Suzuki-san, we would still win the election. That's just how popular we are."

"W-well, that may be true, but that doesn't change the fact that Sonoko-chan's influence can't be underestimated, not to mention she's Ran-chan's best friend," Yoshino argued.

Listening to his friends, Asagi managed to discover another side of Sonoko that was not mentioned in the manga. It turned out that Sonoko was behind their victory during the campaign and voting period. She was like a sponsor even though according to Asakura, they would still win the election even without her support.

His friends were wary of Sonoko due to her immense wealth and influence. They did not want to offend her since she had contributed greatly as their supporter during the campaign and voting period. It was understandable, but at the current situation, pleasing a sponsor like her was not supposed to be their priority. As the student council, their job was to ensure everyone's safety, not just to satisfy their sponsor. Sonoko's feeling was nothing compared to the lives of innocent people. Asagi tried to explain this to his friends to boost their morale and courage. He also added that perhaps it was true the student council did not have enough power. Therefore, they would just have to suggest this idea to the teacher. It would be more efficient if the teacher was the one who warned Ran and Sonoko. After discussing again for another few minutes, they finally agreed to add one more suggestion.

Number 11: due to their special circumstance in regards to Kudo Shinichi, Mouri Ran and Suzuki Sonoko will receive an additional warning from the teacher and be monitored tightly. Below the additional rule, they added an explanation about the special circumstance, such as their status as the primary source of the rumor and Kudo's best friends.

"For now, that will be enough," Asagi concluded. "Yoshino, can you make it into a formal proposal letter before we hand it to Serizawa-sensei?"

"Sure. I can work on it right now with that," she pointed at the desktop computer in the corner of the room. "I think I can finish it by tomorrow. You just need to read it before signing, President."

"Thanks. Also, please make an announcement about the donation for Ueda in our SNS account as soon as possible."

"Roger!"

"Speaking of Ueda's donation, who's going to broadcast it tomorrow?" Inaba interjected.

"Hmm… any idea?" Asagi asked back, not sure if he could do it by himself. If he was still in his original world, he had no problem in public speaking, so broadcasting an announcement for the whole school should be easy, but now that he was in another world surrounded by many unfamiliar things, for some reason, he was not as confident with himself as he used to be.

"How about Kaede-chan? She has a good voice! I know people will like it when they listen to her," Yoshino suggested before turning her sight to the treasurer. "Kaede-chan, you wouldn't mind, would you?"

"Alright. It's just broadcasting. I will do it tomorrow, but I hope I won't be standing alone in the broadcasting room," she said.

"Of course we're going to accompany you. Don't worry," Inaba responded readily. Asagi also nodded in agreement. The least he could do to support Ueda tomorrow was by accompanying Asakura when she announced the donation plan to the whole school.

After that, Asagi took Inaba to the teacher's room to meet their advisor. They needed to inform her about their plan regarding Ueda's donation. Meanwhile, Asakura decided to stay at the student council room to help Yoshino working on the proposal letter. After informing the advisor and received her permission to implement their plan, Asagi and Inaba returned to the student council room, sharing the result of their trip to the teacher's room to the girls as well as waiting until Yoshino's first draft was done. All of them revised the draft together and after making several revisions, they ended their activity after Yoshino decided to work on the revised proposal at home.

"What are you going to do after this?" Inaba asked his friends as he grabbed his schoolbag.

"I'm going home. I need to prepare the cash book for the donation tomorrow," Asakura answered.

"I'm going home too. Need to work on the proposal," Yoshino said.

"Nagayama? What about you?" Inaba asked the president.

"I guess I'm going home as well—wait," he suddenly remembered his plan to check on the Poirot. "I think I want to stop by the Poirot. Anyone wants to go with me?"

"Poirot? That small café below Mouri's home? Why?"

"Just… I just feel like it," Asagi answered randomly. He could not possibly tell them that he wanted to see whether or not Amuro was already working there, could he?

"Then I'll go with you, President. I'm going to have something sweet and warm to boost my mood!" Yoshino said cheerfully.

"Well, it's not a bad idea to hang out once in a while. Maybe I'll join you as well," Inaba smiled before turned to look at the other girl. "Asakura?"

"I'll pass. I have other business at home," she said.

And thus, the student council ended their activity and returned the key room to the staff before leaving the school. Asakura parted with them and went to the opposite direction as soon as they were outside the gate. After bidding goodbye to her, the remaining three headed to Poirot as planned.

It was really relieving to have Inaba and Yoshino accompany him to Poirot. Not only did it feel nice, Asagi also did not have to be afraid of getting lost because his friends would show the way. He only needed to follow them as they chatted. After a few minutes of walking slowly together, they finally arrived at the destination. Yoshino opened the door impatiently, could not wait to sit down and warm her body inside. The boys followed her from behind, smiling when they saw the waitress welcoming them politely. It was Azusa and Azusa alone. Asagi did not see anyone else working in Poirot.

Does this mean Amuro hasn't been here yet? he wondered, but he did not ponder over it for long since the only girl in the group had already secured the table near the window and was calling him to join her. After he took a seat beside Inaba, Azusa approached them, asking for their order. Yoshino was having difficulties choosing her order to the point she had yet to make any even after the boys had made theirs. Asagi ordered ginger tea while Inaba ordered hot chocolate. They also considered ordering something for snack together and when they asked if Yoshino wanted to join them, she immediately agreed and leave the snack to them while still being undecided about her drink. Asagi and Inaba then agreed to order a large portion of garlic potato wedges since it would be for three people. After that, the boys could only wait until the only girl in the group chose her own drink. After asking for a recommendation from Azusa, she finally settled on a cup of hot cappuccino.

They waited for a while until Azusa returned with their orders. As they were waiting, the three of them chatted about mundane things, such as their winter vacation and homework. They were careful not to say anything related to Kudo Shinichi, not even anything related to detective even though a renowned one was living upstairs. Their chats were interrupted when Azusa came with their orders. With a big smile and sparkling eyes, Yoshino hurriedly blew the cappuccino before she tried tasting it. Asagi sipped his ginger tea calmly, so did Inaba with his hot chocolate. After that, all of them started eating the potato wedges one by one as they continued their conversation.

"It's a pity Kaede-chan can't join us. We're having fun talking and snacking like this without her. I feel a bit guilty," the secretary commented regretfully before putting a potato wedge into her mouth.

"Why? It isn't as if we didn't ask her to come with us. There's no need to feel guilty," Inaba replied mockingly. "Yoshino, you're being too dramatic."

"I'm not being dramatic!"

"Yes, you are."

"I told you I'm not!"

"You are!"

"I'm not!"

"Stop it, you two," Asagi interceded, feeling amused by their silly banter. "Why are you getting worked up over something so trivial? It's a pity indeed Asakura can't join us, but it's not our fault, so there's no need to be guilty. Let's just eat in peace, okay?"

"Hmph!"

"Tch!"

The two of them snorted and grumbled at each other, looking like a pair of nemesis who were forced to share the same table. Asagi knew he should be worried about seeing his friends in a cold war like this, but the truth was he did not feel anything like that at all. Instead, he was truly amused that he could not help but smile. He did not expect that such a simple conversation could rile up teenagers. Now he really wondered if he was also like this during his teenage years.

"By the way, Yoshino, I need to ask you something," he said, trying to change the mood between his two companions.

"What?" Yoshino asked back with an irritated look, clearly had yet to regain her cheerfulness after quarreling with Inaba.

"Do you have a transfer student in your class?" Asagi ignored her mood and kept asking. Hearing that, the girl blinked in puzzlement, no longer looked angry.

"No," she said, looking half confused, half curious. "Why are you asking me this, President?"

"I remember your class used to have a transfer student who transferred again shortly after. What's his name again? Hondo?"

"Ooh, yes, Hondo Eisuke," she immediately realized who was the person that the president was talking about. "What is it about transfer student?"

"Well…" Asagi had confirmed that Sera Masumi had yet to transfer to their school, but there was no way he would tell Yoshino and Inaba about this future transfer student. That was why he could only use another excuse. Asagi lowered his voice so that only his friends could be able to hear him. "I just thought about our suggestion. What should we do when there is a student who transferred out? Or what should we do if we receive transfer students?"

"Ah," Inaba reacted. "Should we add this to the proposal?"

"What do you think?" Asagi asked back. To be honest, he felt uneasy thinking about this matter, but he also had no idea how to take care of it. If he wanted to take an extreme method, he would just suggest that the school would not receive transfer students for the time being and prevent the students from transferring out. However, at the same time, this method would only make the school look suspicious, leading to the unwanted attention that they wished to avoid. That was why he thought they could not add this to the suggestion no matter how unsettling it was to him. He really had no idea how to deal with it.

Asagi already had his own opinion, but he still needed to ask his friends because he was not the only one who made the suggestion. He needed to hear out their opinion as well.

"I'm confused," Inaba told them with a voice that almost like a whisper. "We can't possibly ask the school to stop receiving transfer students, right? It becomes more unreasonable if we want to ask the school to prevent anyone from transferring out. This isn't something that we can control. I mean, what can we do if one of the students needs to transfer out due to family business?"

"That's true," Yoshino said in agreement, looking as confused as Inaba. After quarreling, it seemed they had made up without them even knowing. Asagi smiled again when he noticed that his friends had stopped quarreling.

"In that case, we don't have to add this," Asagi said. After that, he told them about his opinion. Yoshino and Inaba did not seem to disagree with him after they heard him out. In the end, all of them agreed to not add this matter to the proposal letter, but they would keep it in mind and would tell their advisor verbally.

Once they had done discussing the suggestion, the serious atmosphere around them became more relaxed. They no longer talked in whispers and continued enjoying the delicacies on the table. Yoshino and Inaba seemed to have forgotten their feud, chatting normally again as if nothing had happened between them.

"By the way, I heard Kanto karate championship is coming soon," Inaba said in the middle of their conversation. "Lately, the karate club's been busy preparing for the competition. What about your clubs? Any news?"

When he heard that, Asagi froze. Club activity! He forgot that he was a high schooler now which meant that he might have been in a club as well. The problem was he did not know which club he belonged to. If he took a reference from his teenage days, he did not join any club during senior high school simply because there was nothing interesting to him and the school did not have any problem if the students did not want to join clubs. Don't tell him in this world he also did not join any club?

"Journalist club has started searching for some news around the school including karate championship," Yoshino answered the vice president, pulling Asagi out of his own reverie. "I'm quite busy these days, working for the student council and the journalist club at the same time. Thankfully I've finished all my homework for this week during the holiday and since it's still the first week after winter vacation, I don't need to worry about exams."

"Is that so? Then we're the same," Inaba commented. "Basketball club has started training since the winter vacation, so we're just continuing our training now. Our coach is even planning to let us have a friendly match with another school this month."

"Wow, really? Tell me if the match has been settled. I will ask my club to cover it."

"Sure thing," the vice president agreed before he turned to the president beside him. "What about you, Nagayama?"

"Huh? Oh…" Asagi did not know what to answer. He did not even remember if he had a club to begin with. But when he accidentally saw Yoshino's eyes which gleamed with interest, he suddenly had a feeling that Asagi of this world was also in a club just like his two friends.

"President?" Yoshino called, smiling widely as if she had been waiting for his answer.

"Well, nothing special, I guess," he said, giving a vague answer.

"Nothing special?" Inaba raised his eyebrows. "Really? I thought the literature club's members always have assignments during holidays."

"That's right! What book did you have to read and review this time, President? Or maybe your assignment is a movie or TV series? Or perhaps you have to write stories? Hm?"

Yoshino bombarded him with too many questions at once, making him both confused and speechless. Granted, he gained some info due to her bombardment such as the fact that he joined the literature club and that the literature club had a certain tradition for its member. Even so, knowing all that did not mean he would be able to answer their questions. Asagi still had no idea what kind of assignment he had received for winter vacation. He had no idea what kind of literature work his assignment was. Asagi was panicking again. What should he do?

The president kept silent, making his friends impatient. It was then when Inaba blurted out some words that triggered his memory.

"Come on, tell us! Don't tell me Yamamoto forbids you to tell anyone?"

Yamamoto…

A hazy figure of a teenage girl in uniform with dark hair reaching her shoulder emerged inside his head. Asagi knew that he did not know her, never saw her before, and even now he still could not remember her figure clearly, but at the same time, he had a feeling that he knew her, that he had met her more than once. And then, he suddenly saw another name, stimulating other memories about her to surface on his mind. It was just like that time when he suddenly knew the name of the student council members, just like that time when he unexplainably could recognize Serizawa-sensei.

Yamamoto Sora. She was the president of the literature club.
