Ninja Storm: Rise of the Eclipse- Chapter 18: Vanished: Part II
Disclaimer: Saban owns all Power Ranger lines. I only own Crystal and Lucy and anything else unrecognizable.
It was a day after the whole Ceremony fiasco took place. Ryan left the morning after, taking supplies with him for the trek to find the secrets of the demons. The Rangers went back to their regular routines. The only two unsure were the ninjas. They had no idea how they were going to get home. Back to their time. Back to their team. So, the two did the best they could. They trained. Using the Aquabase's training facility, the two ninjas kept up their training.
Lucy swung overhead at Crystal. The blonde ducked to avoid it. She kicked Lucy in the shin. The Silver Ranger backed up, holding her shin. Charging her sister, Lucy surprised her. She went for a punch but kicked up, hitting Crystal in the chest. The Gold Ranger backed up, leaning on her knees. "Guess I'm not fully back," She heaved.
Lucy placed her hands on her hips, wheezing. "We did just go like five rounds nonstop." She pointed out. "Plus, it's okay that you're not recovered from the ceremony. You were in that freaky light a lot longer than me,"
"Yeah, I guess," Crystal stood up. She lifted her arms above her head, hearing her back pop a few times. "But it feels like I'm getting slower,"
The doors to the training area whooshed open. Carter and Chad stood in the doorframe. "Dr. Fairweather wants everyone in the main area," The Red Ranger reported.
The brunette rolled her shoulders back. "Okay, give us a second," She leaned down again. "Rys, I think you're perfectly fine at this point." She moved to where she had her jacket and gauntlets. The Silver Ranger pulled her jacket on, not bothering to zip it up. Crystal just slung her's over her shoulder, her gauntlets tucked into her boot. The two ninjas followed the Red and Blue Lightspeed Rangers into the main area of the base.
Dr. Fairweather sat at one of the lab tables, Carter's morpher in her hand. "I've developed this simple modification. So that from now on, your battle boosters will operate the Max Solarzord by remote," She handed Carter's morpher back to him. "You'll need it to initiate the Omega Megazord," She beamed.
"Omega Megazord?" Dana reiterated.
Crystal set her jacket down on the back of the chair. "Dr. Fairweather asked the two of us to help with the very latest in zord tech," She clarified. "Blended what we know about our zords back home into your technology." The Rangers crowded around the screen, hoping to get a view of the new zords.
"This is amazing," Chad marveled. The Rangers watched it. Crystal and Lucy tapped forearms, smiling at each other.
"I have a question," Crystal spoke up, leaning back on the couch. The sisters found the lounge area, taking advantage of the
The alarms around the base went off. Crystal and Lucy scrambled from the lounge area to find the Rangers. What they found were the Rangers running to get to their zords. The two sisters made their way to the science center, meeting Dr. Fairweather. "What's happening?" Crystal urged, reaching the doctor first. She then noticed a small child with her.
Dr. Fairweather sighed, turning to the two ninja Rangers. "A huge asteroid is coming towards Earth," She typed away on the keyboard. "They're gonna try to use the Max Solarzord and their zords to shoot it out of the sky," She explained.
Lucy leaned over to Crystal. "Something's not right," She mumbled. The Megazord blasted the asteroid a few times. Carter ordered something incoherent. The four didn't quite understand, but the Lightspeed Rangers seemed to have gotten the gist.
Something popped up on the battlefield. Dr. Fairweather leaned into the microphone. "Carter, you have to stop Olympius!" She announced.
The four watched a shield form around the Megazord, darkening the Rangers' view. "That's not good," Crystal murmured to Lucy.
The tiny kid picked up a binder, skimming through his notes. He picked up a calculator and typed into it. "It's faster and bigger than we thought," He declared.
"Rangers, the asteroid is bigger and moving faster than we thought," Dr. Fairweather spoke into the microphone. "Your solarzord can't bring it down."
"What are we gonna do now?" Chad demanded.
Crystal tapped Dr. Fairweather's shoulder. "The Omega Megazord," She uttered. "With the combined powers of us and the Ranger's Megazord, the asteroid could break apart,"
"Rangers, return to the Aquabase," Dr. Fairweather ordered. "It's time to initiate the Omega project,"
The five Rangers returned to base, meeting up with Dr. Fairweather, the little boy, Simon, and the sisters. Everyone in the command center scrambled around, getting the Omega zords ready for action. The Rangers moved from their zords to the platform. After morphing, the sisters joined the Lightspeed Rangers on the platform. Both held their respective staff in their hand.
Dr. Fairweather and Simon pushed past the groups of people watching the seven Rangers lower into the zord bay. "Joel," Simon called out, wanting to run to the boy. Dr. Fairweather stopped him, bringing him back to her.
Joel turned, lowering his visor. He saluted to the little boy. "You keep an eye out for us, Simon," He acknowledged. Simon returned the salute.
The five Lightspeed Rangers climbed into their respective seats. Crystal and Lucy took up standing behind Carter, ready for action. "Omega Ready," Dr. Fairweather announced. "Preparing for the final countdown," She counted down.
"Max Solarzord online," Carter declared.
"Liftoff initiated," Dr. Fairweather announced. The train of zords, led by the Max Solarzord, took off. The seven Rangers left Mariner Bay behind in seconds.
Suddenly, the zords got shaky. "We're entering the asteroid shell," Carter pointed out. After a brief second, the Red Ranger turned to his team. "Time to give the Omega zords a try." Carter lifted his morpher. "Omegazords, engage," Each Ranger powered their zords, directing them away from the train. "Omega Crawler, activate,"
"Activate," The four other Rangers repeated. The Omegazords bike apart, creating the Crawler. Crystal and Lucy planted their staffs on the console in front of Carter. They glowed a dim color while they integrated into the Omega Crawler. The colossal beast flew over the asteroid.
"There's no place to land," Carter pointed out.
"Then, I guess, I'll just have to make one," Chad smirked. "Fire," He declared. He sent laser blasts at the asteroid, breaking apart one spike that decorated the outer shell of the monster-sized rock.
"Good work, Chad," Carter praised. The Crawler landed on the asteroid, its arms breaking up more rocks as it settled.
"Nice landing," Joel complimented.
Carter rubbed his gloved hands together. "Now, let's see what this bad boy can do," He replaced his hands on his controls. The Crawler moved forward, making its way down the asteroid. "Holding steady," The sisters gripped their staffs tighter.
The Crawler stopped. "Alright, this is where we have to bury the first explosive, Dana," Carter told the Pink Ranger.
"Deploying drill arms," Dana responded. Claw like arms formed out of the front two legs of the crawler. The claws spun rapidly. "Begin drilling," The driller dug into the rock, leaving a sizeable hole in its place.
"Inserting explosive number one," Kelsey pressed a button. The claws with the explosive moved to the hole.
"Easy with that thing, Kelsey," Lucy spoke up.
"Yeah, you don't want to drop it," Joel added on.
Kelsey breathed out. "Quit it," She turned to the Silver and Green Rangers. "I'm nervous enough," She revealed. She pushed another button, letting the explosive drop into the hole.
"That's it for the first one," Dana commented.
"Good, I want to get out of here," Chad informed her. "This place gives me the creeps,"
Crystal nodded. "Me too,"
"Keep it together, guys," Carter spoke. "We're halfway there," The Crawler lifted from its spot, flying over the asteroid. "The second location should be just over that ridge,"
When the Crawler landed, the drilling got to work. "Inserting explosive number two," Kelsey announced, pressing the same routine of buttons. The explosive drilled into the hole.
"Now, let's get out of here," Carter told the team.
"Leaving so soon, Rangers?" Queen Bansheera snarled. "I wouldn't hear of it,"
"Can I get a break with you?" Crystal snapped.
"We can't move," Chad panicked. Fresh rock mounds popped up from the ground, wrapping around the crawler. Dr. Fairweather yelled something, but the Rangers were too busy avoiding sparks to hear.
"Rangers, get out of there!" Dr. Fairweather ordered.
"We can't," Carter grunted. "The Asteroid's alive,"
All the Rangers grunted. "It's got a hold on us!" Kelsey shouted. Crystal and Lucy went tumbling to the ground. Both couldn't stand for very long. The asteroid was knocking off the stability of the Crawler.
"We don't have enough power," Dana panicked.
"We have to detonate the explosives manually," Carter glanced around at his team.
"No, Carter!" Captain Mitchell yelled. "It's too dangerous,"
Crystal grabbed Carter's chair, hauling herself up to her feet. She leaned over to him. Her helmet was level with his. "Let us detonate them," She ordered him. Carter turned to her. She guessed that he was looking at her in bewilderment. "Carter, the only way that you guys are gonna get free is if Lucy and I detonate them. If my theory is right, then the power from the explosives and the power in our staffs will take us home,"
"And if it doesn't?" Chad demanded.
"Then Mariner Bay has Rangers still standing," Lucy hauled herself up, heavily leaning on Chad's chair. "My sister's right. It's the only way."
Carter hesitated. He didn't know these girls well. But they were insistent that the Rangers still stand against Bansheera. Against all the demons. He slowly nodded. "Alright," He finally affirmed. The other Rangers protested.
Lucy already took off with her lance in hand. Crystal grabbed her staff from the console. She stopped by the door, turning to see the Rangers. "Remember, you have a gift. A gift to protect those who can't fight demons. You five… are gonna be great. Better than that. You are stronger together than you think." Her helmet glistened in the light. "Thank you for everything, Rangers. My sister and I can't repay you or your team enough. Now, go crack some crowns for me, okay?" She chortled, disappearing from the cockpit.
"Activate Omega Megazord," Carter informed. Flashes of light went off, breaking off the rock. The crawler's back half flipped up, forming the top of the Megazord. The Rangers watched the blurs of gold and silver run to the middle of the two explosives.
The Rangers watched the sisters strike the explosives, sending a rather intense light across the asteroid. The Rangers turned away, steering the Crawler away from the asteroid. In a matter of seconds, the asteroid exploded, sending the blinding light to cover everything. The loud explosion started everyone in the Aquabase. "Rangers?!" Dr. Fairweather yelled. "Rangers, come in!"
"We're okay, Dr. Fairweather," Carter sighed. Everyone in the Aquabase sighed in relief. "The sisters disappeared. The bright light must have taken them back,"
Shane yelled out, rolling to a stop in front of his team. The rest of the Ninja Rangers regrouped around their leader. TimeWiz was having a field day with them. Without the Eclipse Rangers by their sides, the Rangers were taking a beating. One that none of them wanted. None were as strong as the two.
"Hey, freak show!" Lucy's voice hailed. The downed Rangers turned to find the Silver Ranger running to them. She ran past TimeWiz, slashing him in the stomach. She stopped in front of the team. Her silver suit was a sight for sore eyes to the Rangers.
A gold blur jumped into the fight. It struck the monster a few times in various places, then stopped in front of the Rangers, right next to her partner. Crystal stood in her gold-colored suit. "Next time you send us back in time, don't," She growled. "I think it's time to clean this up,"
"Yeah," Lucy turned around, her silver helmet shining in the sun. "I'm so over this guy,"
"What?!" TimeWiz shrieked, looking between the two sisters. "The convergence was supposed to strip you," He tried. "Your powers should be gone,"
Lucy chuckled. "Here's the thing. We find some way to mess up your plans," She stuck her hand in the air. "With the power of the moon, the lance of pure night," Her silver weapons appeared. She spun it around, tucking it under her arm. "Guardian of the Moon,"
Crystal stuck her hand out to the side. "By the power of the sun, a staff of pure light," The golden staff appeared in her hand. She spun it around in her hand, slamming it on the ground. "Guardian of the Sun," She stated. "Ut's over TimeWiz, you lose,"
The two took out TimeWiz before the Rangers could even blink. Crystal took him out at his knees. Lucy slashed his shoulder. TimeWiz screamed, his fists glowing gold. The sisters blocked the hit, grunting when they blocked it. The two pushed the beams back, knocking the monster back. The sisters charged, taking TimeWiz out in a second.
"I'm gonna send you all back," TimeWiz wailed, growing ten times his size.
Lucy slammed her staff on the ground, the tip glowing silver. "Try again." She lifted her morpher. "Coyote,"
Everyone heard a howl throughout the battleground. A white coyote jumped over the mountain range, snarling at the monster. There was silver detailing around the paws and neck of the coyote. A silver strip traveled from the forehead of the coyote to the tip of the tail. There was a moon carved on its forehead. The coyote's stalky body was silver with a darker belly. Its paws had gold claws at the end. Its tail marched the body.
Crystal rolled her eyes under her helmet. "Show-off," She watched her sister disappear into her Zord. "Swan," The blonde followed her sister, slamming her staff on the ground.
A gold swan-shaped zord swooped over the mountain range. Its head had a large sun near the back of the head, serving as a crown. It's thicker body was a gold color with a swirl of silver down the belly. The wings were large, decorated with suns on the tips. Its legs were a bright silver color. Its tail feathers were a sharp gold color.
The sisters took off, disappearing into the zords. The swan broke apart, forming the legs and bottom of the Megazord. The coyote folded up, creating the head, arms, and torso. The two parts attacked together. In a matter of seconds, a new Megazord formation stood against TimeWiz. The Rangers cheered.
"Ooh, I'm shaking in my boots," TimeWiz prodded. When the Eclipse Megazord didn't move, TimeWiz grew impatient. "You gonna move or stand there like bricks."
"Eclipse Rapier," Both called out, drawing the sword that appeared on the back of the Megazord.
Crystal pushed her controls forward, moving the Megazord. The arms lifted, taking the rapier with it. They brought it down on the monster, pushing him to the ground. TimeWiz jumped up, striking the Megazord, which stumbled back. "Seriously had enough of this guy," She complained.
"Combo?" Lucy suggested.
"Sounds like a plan," Crystal replied.
"Lightning Strike," The two claimed. The Megazord ran a hand down the blade, leaving a blue tint to it behind. It swiped up then sideways, hitting the monster the same way. He screamed in pain, falling on his butt. A second later, he exploded.
"Now that's how it's done," Lucy grinned.
Crystal laughed. "Eclipse style,"
"What happened?" Tori demanded, hugging the life out of her best friends. The Rangers returned to Ops, knowing that the sisters had the whole fight handled. The sisters walked in to find the Rangers waiting for them.
Both sisters peered at each other. They shared a laugh. "Long story short, Rys almost got sacrificed to a queen, we earned our weapons somehow, and helped the Lightspeed Rangers destroy a huge asteroid," She summed up, nodding at the end.
"You guys went back in time?" Dustin inquired, his hands finding his head. "What was it like?"
"Dustin… I almost got sacrificed for a stupid queen to come back," Crystal clarified. "I never want to do that again. Also, do you guys know where our rapiers went? I couldn't find mine,"
Blake gestured to the table. "There. Why didn't they disappear with you guys?" He proposed. The rest of the Rangers watched the sisters pick up their respective weapons. The blades sparked their respective color then disappeared in a flash of light.
Crystal shrugged. "I don't know," She responded. "I don't have all the answers,"
"Just most," Hunter retorted. Crystal elbowed him in the side, rolling her eyes. Hunter smiled, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. He pulled the Gold Ranger close to him. The blonde responded by place her head on his shoulder. "Just glad to have you two home," He stated, rubbing her shoulder.
The Wind Rangers nodded. "Yeah, without you guys, we would've been toast monsters ago," Dustin admitted, crossing his arms over his chest.
"I don't believe that," Lucy shook her head and shifted around. "Y'all just wouldn't have a better fighting record without us," She supplied.
Tori threw an arm over Lucy's shoulders. "Please, just never time travel again,"
"You don't have to tell me twice," Crystal sighed. She moved from her boyfriend's grasp. "Now, if you excuse me, I'm gonna go nap," She turned on her heel, heading out of Ops.
Lucy headed out of Ops after her sister. "Night guys,"
"It's only the afternoon?!" Shane asked. The Rangers laughed, watching the confusion on Shane's face.
"We almost died, Shane, " Lucy yelled from outside Ops. "Stop questioning everything!"
There was a knock at the door to the sister's apartment. Crystal, being the only one up at the moment, headed over. She wrenched open the door, quirking an eyebrow when she found Hunter standing on the other side. "Hunter, it's almost midnight. What are you doing here?" She leaned against the door.
Instead of answering, Hunter grabbed the sides of Crystal's face. He pulled her close, planting his lips on her. In those single moments, Crystal was floored. Her brain suddenly stopped working, leaving her in a complete stupor. It was like electricity between the two. They were only a few weeks into dating, but that kiss made it seem like months, years. The two just seemed to fit together.
They pulled away. Crystal stood there, arms dangling by her side. Her mouth opened like a fish while she blinked away the fog that had appeared and disappeared. "… Wow," She breathed.
"What?" Hunter asked. His expression said it all. He was terrified of the response.
"So that's what it like to kiss someone,"
Hunter blinked at her. "You've never been kissed?"
"Yeah, that was my first,"
"Was it worth it?" Hunter bit his lip.
"Yes,"
"Good, cause I'm gonna do it again," Hunter leaned in again. But Crystal closed the gap. She smiled into the kiss, feeling the same electric pulse beat in her head.
"Ah, ew!" Lucy's yell broke the two apart. They turned to see the brunette standing in the living room with her silver water bottle in hand. "I come out for water and I get scarred for life. Get a room!" SHe grumbled. The two glanced at each other, laughing.
Ah! So much happened. The sisters are back and they have zords! Hunter and Crystal finally kissed and Lucy's back at her antics. I hope you guys liked the crossover with Lightspeed. Thank you to everyone who has reviewed, liked, followed,
