Ninja Storm: Rise of the Eclipse- Chapter 22: Brother in Arms
Disclaimer: Saban owns all Power Ranger lines. I only own Crystal, Lucy, and anything else unrecognizable.
It was race day at the moto track and everyone knew it. The dirt track was full of riders, already in a race. They chased and led each other around the course laid out for them. Spectators lined the makeshift fence, watching their favorite racer slide through riders. The two girls standing by the finish line were focused on two riders. Navy and Crimson. The two riders in question slid and sped past their competition, using the skills they had or the ones they learned from their riding partners. Kelly had a clipboard in her grasp and a pencil tucked between two fingers. She leaned over to the girl in gold, reading the time on the stopwatch.
Crystal trained her eye on her boyfriend, watching him beat more riders as he tackled the course. His brother was also riding with ease. The two had ridden the course loads of times, trying to catch up to the golden guardian, or teaching Dustin a few more things about riding. The Gold Ranger was in a t-shirt and jeans with a pair of high top converse. Kelly was in her regular jeans, t-shirt, and Storm Chargers vest.
Hunter and Blake were in the middle of the finishing curve when Hunter's bike sparked. He groaned, knowing he'd have to pull out. Crystal sighed, dropping her head into her free hand. Kelly placed her hand on her forehead. "No," The redhead huffed out. Hunter rode up to the side of the track, pulling out of the race. Blake ended up in first. He stopped his bike a few feet from the finish line. The Navy Ranger pulled off his helmet and turned to find his brother. Hunter sighed, turning to Blake.
Crystal turned to Kelly. "Blake qualified," she murmured. "With a faster time too. Closer to Hunter's time,"
Kelly shot her a look. "Don't tell Hunter that." She replied to the Gold Ranger. "He might not like you for a while,"
"You're not wrong about that," The blonde grumbled. "Last time I told him, he left me at the store,"
Kelly walked over to the three Rangers. "Sounded like the top end,"
Blake was leaning on Hunter's bike seat, still decked out in his riding gear. Crystal sat on the ground, her hand buried in Hunter's engine. She had a screwdriver in the other hand, but she couldn't figure out the problem without cracking open the entire engine. Hunter squatted next to her, still wearing his gear. While everyone was congratulating Blake, Hunter pushed his bike up to Crystal's jeep and Storm Chargers van at the top of the hill. Crystal left her post next to Kelly, reaching the taller blond in seconds. From there, the two tried to dig around the bike. Hunter stood up, dropping the tool in his hand. "Nah, I let go on the last straight," He motioned to the track.
"Think you can rebuild it before the next moto?" The redhead placed a hand on her hip.
"No way," Hunter answered her, shaking his head. "I've never done one in less than five hours,"
"Crystal?" Kelly seemed to hope for a better answer from the girl.
The ninja tilted her head at Kelly, shielding her eyes from the sun. "I've done one in four," Her eyes flew to her watch, checking the time. "I won't be able to do it in time. Their next qualifier's in two," She stuck her hand up in the air. Hunter grabbed her hands, pulling her to her feet. Her feet didn't get under her in time. She went crashing into Hunter, hitting him in the chest. He chuckled at his girlfriend, helping her to her feet.
"I'm telling you guys, you included Crystal," Kelly pointed to the blonde. "If you want to go pro, you need someone to wrench on your bikes,"
Blake picked up a piece of Hunter's bike. "Okay, but there isn't a mechanic in the world that can fix this thing in enough time,"
A greasy-looking guy, cradling a tool kit, stopped by them. "I-I'll give it a try," He stammered, glancing at the four.
"You think you can do it in less than two hours?" All three riders weren't believing him.
The man kinked a smile. "Sure,"
Hunter motioned for him to go at it. He and Crystal moved out the way. Blake threw his hands up. "That's impossible, man." He declared. "But if you can do it, then go for it."
"No problem," The guy stated. He threw a wrench behind him. Hunter pulled Crystal out of the way to avoid getting hit by a flying engine piece. The guy looked at a part that was sitting on the seat and shook his head.
Less than two hours later, the three Rangers were at the start. Hunter was glancing around while Blake got ready for the race. Crystal was jotting notes and numbers on the clipboard that Kelly gave her. The redhead was meeting with another race company, leaving the blonde to take care of the times for the brothers. "The riders are warming up for the next race," The announcer called out.
"Man, you're gonna miss it!" Blake pointed out.
"Okay, both of you need to come in top 5 to make this a qualifier," Crystal mentioned. Hunter leaned over to see the scribbles that his girlfriend was making.
Blake grinned. "Unless Hunter gets his bike back in time, he might not make it,"
"All set," The mechanic announced, walking over with Hunter's bike.
"Hey," Hunter smiled, taking the bike from him.
"Oh, and I adjusted the float on your pilot jet." The guy mentioned. Hunter climbed on. "You were running rich," The guy explained. Hunter kick-started his bike, laughing as he did so.
"Looks like you'll be making moto number 2," Blake smiled at him, placing his helmet on.
Hunter turned to the guy. "Hey, thanks dude," The guy already left.
Crystal placed her hand on Hunter's shoulder. "Good luck." Hunter turned to her, smiling back at her. The shorter blonde leaned over, kissing his cheek. "Kick ass, okay?" She patted his shoulder, walking up the hill to meet Kelly,
"Hey Dustin," Crystal walked by the Yellow Ranger when she entered the store.
Dustin turned to her. "How was it?"
"I got to input some numbers. Ask the other two," The ninja made her way into Kelly's office. Dustin returned to putting shirts up when something came into his eyesight.
"First place," Hunter told him, holding his trophy. He and his brother were grinning like idiots.
Dustin smiled. "Oh, hey, you did it!" He reached for the trophy. Hunter pulled it away.
"Yeah, checked out on the second lap," Blake clapped hands with Dustin.
Dustin leaned on the rack he was by. "I'd say you're getting faster,"
"That's part of it, but I felt like I was riding a factory bike out there," Hunter explained.
"That freaky guy hook you up, huh?" Blake turned to his brother, who agreed.
The yellow ninja raised his eyebrow. "What freaky guy?"
"Skinny… kinda nerdy-looking," The Navy Ranger described. "Yeah, he did a whole rebuild in, like, two hours,"
Dustin nodded. "That'd be Perry," He patted Blake's shoulder. "He's, um, he's this total moto genius. A little shrimpy, through,"
Blake and Hunter followed Dustin; who walked through the store. "You know him?"
The Yellow Ranger nodded. "Yeah,"
"So, where does he live?" Blake sought.
"Um, out of town, in that creepy area down by the train tracks," Dustin answered then walked away.
Hunter turned to see his girlfriend out in the store. The blonde had rid herself of her backpack and stopwatch. He moved over to her, leaning on the counter. "You comin' with us?" He asked her. He walked over to meet her.
"Depends on where,"
"Down by the train tracks, on the edge of town,"
"I'm good," Crystal pursed her lips. She pointed to the trophy. "Are you gonna display that?"
Hunter glanced down at it. He passed it to Crystal, who grinned. She placed it on the counter. "We'll be back," The Crimson Ranger told her, planting a kiss on her forehead.
Dustin walked out of the back, seeing Crystal placing the trophy on the counter in front of her. "How come you got the trophy?" He griped.
Crystal snorted. "I'm dating him, remember?"
The ninjas sat in Ops, playing a board game on the table. Silence had fallen over Ops, only broken by the occasional groan when someone was winning. Lucy threw her arms up in the air, cheering as she won another round. Crystal reached over, smacking Lucy on the cheek while playfully glaring at her. Suddenly, the computer beeped, making all the Rangers groan. "Check this guy out!" Dustin spoke up. A monster in brown appeared on the screen.
Lucy stood from her spot on the table, walking over to the genius. "Cam, what is that thing?"
Cam turned to the team. "You guys better get out there. See what this guy's all about."
"On it," Shane patted his shoulder, turning around with the other four Rangers.
Ninja Storm, Ranger Form
Eclipse Storm, Ranger Form
The back of the Semi opened up. That allowed the Rangers to see the road that they would be on. The Wind Rangers revved their engines. Shane left first, with Tori, and Dustin followed. Crystal and Lucy hung back in the semi. Lucy got on her bike, nodding to her sister. The Gold Ranger rolled down the ramp. The Silver Ranger followed, steady on her bike. They followed the three Wind Rangers, taking off to fight the enemy.
All five rolled into the old train factory. "Hey!" Shane called out. "Mind if we put in a few good laps?" He patted the top of his bike.
The monster stood alone, draped in a brown cloak. "Be my guest, but be prepared to eat dirt," He reached up with one hand, ripping off the cloak. Gold plated armor coated his entire body. He laughed. "You're not the only ones with bikes," He threw his hand out. A bike appeared in seconds. He climbed on.
Everyone stared, confused. "Huh?" Shane questioned. The monster revved his engine. "Let's get this poser," The Red Ranger told the five.
The three Winds revved their engines. They took off, leaving the Eclipse Rangers behind. The Rangers went up against the monster. They dodged the pink lightning the monster shot. The armored monster jumped off his bike, kicking the Wind ninjas off their bikes. He landed back on his bike. But a strike on the shoulder took him by surprise.
Lucy stood behind him, rapier drawn. Crystal drew her rapier from her back. "Alright, let's end this," The blonde revved her bike, releasing the brake. The monster followed suit. The two charged each other. The monster hit first, not giving Crystal any shot at landing a hit. He kicked her off the bike, sending it to the ground. The monster wrapped an arm around Crystal, keeping her from moving. That's when she noticed Cam running in. "Thank god," She muttered, struggling to get free.
"Hang on, guys," Cam called out. He swung his arms up, hitting the buckle on his belt. "Super Samurai mode," He announced. He flipped in the air, slamming his saber down.
The monster caught it with one of his forearms, startling Cam. He let go of Crystal, sending her to the ground. He then sent a blast or two at Cam, sending the Green Ranger to a pile of barrels. The Winds and Lucy ran to him. "Cam, you okay?" Shane asked, hauling Cam up.
"What? This is only the beginning," The monster laughed. He ended up throwing Dustin into a pile of barrels. Lucy landed on her side. Shane went for a kick but pushed away. Cam ended up getting flipped. The Red Ranger went in for another kick. The monster dodged it, striking Shane in the side. He grabbed the red ninja's wrist, the one with the sword, and twisted it behind his back. He threw Shane to the ground.
Lucy climbed to her feet, her rapier in her hand. She charged the monster, swinging over his head. He blocked the swing but didn't avoid a kick. Lucy's foot slammed into his side. She whipped around, slicing him in the chest. She jumped over the charging, and snarling, monster, scoring his back. She kicked him in the back, sending him forward. He turned around, not finding the silver ninja anywhere near him.
Crystal flew at him, punching him in the face. Motodrone threw her to the side, but the Ranger didn't stop. Rolling to her knees, the Gold Ranger pushed off the ground towards the gold plated monster. She went for an overhead swing but kicked him in the leg. She hand sprung back, avoiding his swing. She moved to roundhouse the monster, but he grabbed her ankle, throwing her across the site. She landed roughly, coughing when she stopped rolling.
The monster disappeared into the building. The downed Rangers quickly moved over to Crystal, making sure she was okay. Their helmeted heads turned when engine rumbling was heard. The Thunders rolled in. "What happened?" Hunter questioned, staring at the downed Rangers.
Shane turned his head to him, pointing to the building. "He went inside,"
Crystal groaned, rolling to her side. "Kick his ass fast, would ya?" She groaned again, placing her helmeted head on the ground.
Hunter nodded to the team, then faced his brother. "Let's get the guy," Blake answered. The two climbed off their bikes, running into the building.
The brothers spotted him a few yards into the building. Blake attacked first, swinging his staff. The monster avoided the swing as Blake flew to the other side of him. The monster pushed Blake back, turning around and swinging at Hunter. He then caught Hunter in the stomach, elbowing him in the back.
Blake went for another hit. The monster caught and twisted his arm, lifting him up. He kicked him in the stomach, sending the Navy Ranger deeper into the building. Blake quickly got up and swung again. He missed as the monster kicked him in the chest.
The monster turned when Hunter ran in. The Crimson Ranger swung, missing the monster. The ninja threw another punch, only for the monster to catch it. The monster pushed Hunter away. Hunter crashed into a gate, knocking it over. "Enough," He breathed. "Crimson Blaster," He shot the monster a few times. It deflected each blast. The monster walked closer. Hunter went for a few swings, but it ended up with the monster holding Hunter. "Who are you?" He asked. "What do you want?"
"They call me Motodrone," Motodrone answered. He threw Hunter's hands in the air and punched him in the stomach a few times. Sparks flew when Hunter hit the ground. "And you'll find out what I want." He guffawed. He went for another hit. Hunter kicked his hand away. He then used his staff to slice Motodrone's leg.
Motodrone yelled out in pain, backing away from the Crimson Ranger. He turned and stumbled away. Hunter groaned, falling to the ground.
"Hunter!" Blake cried out, stumbling to his brother. "Are you okay?" He questioned, kneeling by him.
"This is the weirdest thing," Cam brought up once everyone had returned.
Everyone gathered around him in front of the computer. "What is it?" Tori questioned from beside him.
"I've been running tests on Motodrone, and I found traces of human DNA," The Green Ranger explained.
Shane breathed out. "No way," He muttered from his spot behind Tori. "That thing is human?"
"Looks like some mutation," Cam explained.
"Then it's not one of Lothor's goons," Blake added on.
Cam shook his head. "No, and I won't be able to find out until the computer goes through the database,"
"Until then, you must take care in dealing with this creature," Sensei advised the Rangers. "We don't know what he's capable of,"
"You gonna come with us to meet Perry?" Hunter questioned, leaning on the counter at Storm Chargers.
Crystal glanced at him and shrugged her shoulders. "No, my bike is perfectly fine. Thanks though," She smiled up at him.
Hunter turned to leave, but Crystal caught his hand. "Yeah?" He faced his girlfriend.
"Are you okay?" Crystal inquired, meeting his eyes. "Blake told me that the fight between you and Motodrone was brutal,"
Hunter lifted an eyebrow. "Crystal, are you… worried about me?" He urged her, smiling.
Crystal softly sighed, rolling her eyes. "I'm serious, Hunter," She placed her hands on the table. "It comes with the territory of being a Ranger… and your girlfriend," She grinned.
"I'm fine," Hunter answered. Crystal didn't believe him. "Babe, I'm great. I'll see ya later, okay?" Crystal nodded. Hunter leaned over, kissing her. "Returning the favor from earlier,"
The shorter blonde grinned. "Get out of here or you're gonna be late," She pushed him towards the door. The taller blonde chortled, heading out of the store.
"Is this really gonna work?" Lucy questioned, cracking an eye open. She opened the other to see her sister sitting across from her. "Rys… Rys," She requested. The blonde was quiet, her eyes closed and her breathing was slow. Lucy turned to Cam, grinning like an idiot. "Hey, Crystal fell asleep,"
Cam laughed. "She looks like she's exhausted," The computer beeped. "Lucy, wake Crystal. Hunter and Blake need help. I'll get the others,"
Lucy acknowledged him, turning to shake Crystal. The blonde jolted awake and fell backward, hitting the ground. She puffed, shifting to see her sister. They ceased moving when five Rangers walked into Ops. Crystal raised an eyebrow when she didn't spot the tall blond in crimson. Twisting to her side, Crystal clambered to her feet. "Blake, where's Hunter?" She inquired softly to the navy ninja.
Blake paused. "Motodrone took him," He heard the Gold Ranger sigh. "Hunter was protecting me and Motodrone took him," Crystal laid a hand on his shoulder, squeezing it. The Navy Ranger nodded in silent agreement. It wasn't his fault that his brother was taken, it was Motodrone's. And he messed with the wrong Rangers. Blake walked over to Cam, setting his hands on Cam's shoulders. "Come on, man, where is he?"
"Hold on," The samurai advised him. "I've nearly got a lock on Motodrone's identity,"
Everyone watched the computer making the connection. Perry's face appeared right next to Motodrone's body. Blake snapped his fingers. "I know where Hunter is,"
"Let's go," Tori told him. Everyone started moving out of Ninja Ops.
"Blake," Sensei spoke up. Everyone stopped. "I know your brother is in danger, but remember so is Perry. If you don't destroy the Motodrone technology soon, it will absorb Perry and he will be gone forever."
The Navy Ranger stepped forward. "Don't worry," He nodded, taking off once more. The Winds followed with the Eclipse ninjas right behind them.
"This is the worst plan ever conceived by my sister," Lucy complained, leaning on the handlebars of her bike. Her helmeted head was supported by her hand, but everyone could tell that the Silver Ranger wasn't excited about this plan. Cam chuckled from where he was sitting behind Dustin on his bike. He didn't have a bike, so he opted to ride on one of the other Rangers. "I'm serious, this is the stupidest plan we have ever come up with. We're gonna drag Motodrone from the warehouse to where?"
"Lucy, shh," Shane twisted his head to see the silver guardian. He turned back around, revving his bike and missing the face the guardian was making under her helmet. "Hey, Motodrone," He announced. "Wanna come out and play?" He asked. There was a pause. "Ya think he heard me?" He asked. Motodrone came roaring out of the building, destroying the door. He stopped in front of the five Rangers. "How about a little battle of the bikes? That is if that heap of your runs at all,"
Motodrone glowered. "Oh, I'll show you what this heap can do!"
"Bring it," Shane challenged. He and the others took off, leading Motodrone away from the building. Lucy kicked her engine up, taking the rear of the Rangers. What the monster didn't know was Crystal and Blake sat behind a few of the empty barrels, waiting to sneak in. The blonde had come up with the plan rather quickly, fast enough to make it easy for the Rangers.
"It worked," Blake breathed, climbing out of the hiding spot.
Crystal rolled her eyes. "Yeah, let's go." She nudged him towards the building.
After running through the building for what seemed like a mile, the two Rangers stopped in a freaky lab set up. Sitting in the middle of the room was Hunter, strapped to a contraption with a street bike across from him. The Crimson Ranger didn't look good for the likes of his brother and girlfriend. "You okay?" Blake inquired, rushing over to Hunter.
Hunter tilted his head back. "It took you long enough to get here," He grumbled. Crystal moved around, helping Blake undo all the restraints. The Gold Ranger reached up, removing the crown of wires from around his head. "Motodrone… it's…" The ninja breathed out.
"Perry," Blake answered for him. "We know," He and Crystal got the chest harness up, freeing Hunter from the chair. The Crimson Ranger went to stand, but a push from both Rangers made him sit back down. "Sit this one out," Blake turned to Crystal. "You're gonna make sure he's okay?"
"Yeah, go." The golden guardian nodded. "They're gonna need your help out there," She turned, seeing Blake take off to join the fight against Motodrone. Her eyes wandered around the room, whistling lowly. "Quite a setup he's got,"
The crimson ninja peered of her, smirking. "Is that nerd envy I hear?"
"Yeah, you keep laughing,"
"He used my Ranger energy to power that bike. I think he turned it into some kind of weapon,"
Crystal tapped a few buttons, squinting at the screen in front of her. "Yep, taken an imprint of your energy. If I… redirect the power… I think I might be able to get you back on your feet," She pressed a few more buttons, returning Hunter's powers to him.
"What about the bike?" Hunter inquired, angling his head to his girlfriend.
"What about it?" The Gold Ranger placed a hand on her hip. Hunter just kept staring at her. Finally, Crystal huffed, her shoulders dropping. She twisted around, grumbling incoherently under her breath. Sitting across from Hunter, right behind her, was a crimson-colored street bike. Half of it was covered by a white plastic sheet. "I normally don't do street bikes, but he's good,"
"Hunter?" Crystal called, breaking the silence that fell between the two Rangers. She didn't look away from the bike, tightening another bolt on the body. The blonde turned, squinting up at the blond. He was asleep in the chair, his head hanging. "Hunter… Hunter. Seriously, this isn't funny," The ninja stood, treading over to to the crimson ninja. She shook his shoulder. "Hunter," When he didn't stir, Crystal moved away, intending on finding something to wake Hunter up with. Her eyes scanned over the room, not finding anything. She sighed, turning back to Hunter, only to find the Crimson Ranger had disappeared. "Hunter?" She questioned weakly.
A hand wrapped around her bicep, pulling her back. Crystal swung her elbow back, hitting her target in the abdomen. She whipped around, her fists up. The only person she found was Hunter. "I got you good," The taller ninja smiled.
"Not…" Crystal didn't get to finish her sentence. Hunter had pulled her close, planting a kiss on her lips. Both smiled into the kiss, feeling the same way when they first kissed. Yes, they kissed multiple times after the whole time travel event, but each time felt like their first. Finally, she pushed him away. "Cool, Hunter. Not cool,"
The boy in crimson grinned, arms across his chest. "You like it, admit it,"
"And if I did?" Crystal challenged, matching his stance. "What are you gonna do about it?"
The only response she got was another kiss. The Crimson Ranger pulled away. "I gotta say, babe, you got a mean elbow," His hand went to his abdomen.
"Comes with the training," The golden guardian smugly smiled. "I was ready to punch you in the face,"
"Good thing I went with the kiss instead of letting you punch me," Hunter broadly smiled.
"Bike's done," Crystal jabbed her thumb at the street bike. "Now, if you're done kissing me, we need to go help the others,"
The Winds were trailing Motodrone to a desolate beach. Lucy sucked in a breath, steering her bike around the beach. The Rangers on bikes swerved, stopping feet from Motodrone. "Perry! We know you're in there," Shane tried to reason.
Motodrone swiveled his head. "Perry is gone!"
Lucy shifted around. "We can help you, please!" She leaned on her handlebars. Out of her peripheral vision, she saw Cam climb off Tori's bike.
"No," Motodrone raised his hands to his head like he was remembering something. His head snapped up. "I can't remember, where am I?"
A flash of lightning took everyone's attention. "Who cares?" Zurgane challenged, standing with a pod of Kelzaks. "Out of my way! I want the one you call Motodrone," He pointed at the group.
"Back off, Zurgane," Lucy snarled.
"Yeah, you'll have to get past us first," Shane followed.
"As you wish," Zurgane muttered. "Kelzaks," The henchmen moved.
Motodrone looked around. "I work for no one," He howled, taking off. Zurgane and the Kelzaks got too closer. "Out of my way!" He shot lightning from his eyes. He took off, running from everyone.
Just then, Blake rolled in. "I'll get him." He claimed. He spun his bike around.
"Be careful," Tori advised him.
Blake looked back at the Blue Ranger. "I will," He took off, following Motodrone.
"Attack them," Zurgane ordered. "The red one is mine,"
Lucy heaved out a breath. She revved her bike, whipping it around. She threw her leg out, hitting a Kelzak in the chest. She grabbed one's arm, twisting it around. She caught one by the shoulder, hurling him into a few Kelzaks. The Silver Ranger went for another kick, but it didn't go according to plan. One of the Kelzaks snatched her, pulling her off her bike. She landed near the other Rangers.
Zurgane cackled. He pulled his swords out. "You're surrounded,"
Shane climbed to a crouch, his blade in hand. "Stay back,"
Dustin lowered his arm. "Crystal's not responding,"
"That's not good," Tori stated.
A blast from behind the Kelzaks sent them in all directions. Everyone shielded their eyes. Smoke rose from the blast site. All the Rangers were in confusion. Lucy uncovered her visor, turning to the sight of the blasts. "What?"
"Who's…" Tori questioned.
"Huh?" Dustin asked.
Shane looked up. "Hunter?"
The Ranger in question was on a meaner-looking bike. It was bigger than the Tsunami cycle, painted crimson and white. There was something around his waist. "Bring it." He challenged the Kelzaks. He spun the bike around, creating smoke and sending it toward the Kelzaks.
Crystal came running in a few seconds later. "Such a jerk," She panted, her helmet facing Hunter. She stood straight. "Hey, guys. Guess what." The Gold Ranger motioned to the bike Hunter was riding. "I've made a few adjustments to Perry's bike. Wicked, huh?"
"I'm not big on street bikes, but this is sick!" Dustin commented.
Hunter used the lasers on the front to take out more Kelzaks. "All right," All the Rangers encouraged, taking off to meet the Crimson Ranger. He searched around. "Where's Blake?"
Tori leaned over. "He went after Perry,"
"Perry!" Everyone turned to see Blake standing on the cliff. "Don't!" He yelled, shifting backward. His foot slipped, causing him to fall. He turned, uncomfortable with how close he was to the edge. Motodrone sent a few blasts his way, driving Blake off the edge.
"Out of my way!" Hunter howled, driving right off the side of the cliff. "Ninja glider bike. Flight Mode." He called out. In a second the bike transformed into a glider. Hunter reached down, catching his brother.
"Took you long enough," Blake joked with his brother.
Hunter rolled his eyes. "Wise-guy," They flew around the ocean.
"You never listen to me, do ya?" Blake faced his brother.
"You can bag on me later," Hunter declared. "I've got some unfinished business,"
"Be careful," Blake told him. He let go of Hunter's hand, flipping in the air. He landed on the ground, turning to see Hunter fly back to the peak.
Motodrone glared at him. "I'll teach you," He grumbled. He revved his bike as he took off towards Hunter. "Lasers!" He popped a wheelie, firing lasers at Hunter.
The Crimson Ranger shot some of his own, making Motodrone whip around. "Power dive." Hunter tilted the glider forward, diving hard on Motodrone. "Aim…" He lined up his shot to take out Motodrone. "Fire," He announced, pressing down on a button. The laser blast sent Motodrone flying off his bike. The gold monster hit the ground, hard. Part of his armor and bike came apart, revealing that Perry was still alive.
"Perry, are you okay?" Hunter asked, shaking the man awake. The mechanic woke up, startled. He grabbed Hunter's hand and pulled himself up off the ground. The Crimson Ranger glanced up, seeing the rest of the team running towards them. They stopped around the crash.
"Oh, man, what happened?" Perry asked, rubbing his head.
Blake bound over to help support the mechanic. "You fell off your bike," He deceived, glancing at the other Rangers.
Perry groaned. "Oh, I can't remember anything,"
"You're okay now," Lucy spoke up, hands in her back pockets.
Perry raised his hand to his head. "Oh, man, my head. I feel like I've been living in a terrible dream," He expressed.
"I can relate," Hunter nodded.
The three moved, but Perry stopped. "Hey, wait a minute," He declared. "In my dream, you guys were Power Rangers," He looked around.
Blake nervously laughed. "Yeah, right," He brushed off. "Power Rangers." Everyone else joined in laughing.
"Who'd make this guy a Power Ranger?" Crystal snorted, pointing at Hunter. Everyone looked between the two. The blondes were staring at each other, frowns etched in their features. Crystal's face cracked, breaking out into a grin. She started laughing. "Sorry, I just can't imagine Hunter as a Power Ranger," She lied. Everyone knew she was joking, but it had to be believable for Perry to believe. And the Rangers could attest, the sisters were good at throwing off suspicion. Everyone else shared a laugh.
Hunter pulled her to him. "Hey, I'd make a great Ranger," He pointed at her. She only replied with an eye roll while a smile still plastered on her face.
"Actually, I can't imagine either of you as Rangers," Perry pointed between Blake and Hunter. He started walking away. All the Rangers exchanged relieved glances, happy that Perry wasn't onto them.
Blake, Hunter, and Crystal walked up to Perry the next morning. The mechanic was fixing Hunter's bike. The boys were back in their moto gear and the shorter blonde was in her jeans and t-shirt. "I thought you gave up working on bikes," Crystal spoke up, squinting at the mechanic.
Perry glanced up at the three. "I'm putting the special projects on hold. I took the rest of the Motodrone processor to the scrapyard. Guess there's no such thing as the perfect rider," He patted Hunter's seat.
"Or a perfect bike," Blake remarked.
"Actually, I impressed the Power Rangers with my Glider Cycle," Perry protested. "Especially the Gold Ranger. She seemed to understand it better than the rest.
Crystal smiled. "Perry, again, with the Power Rangers. You're very insistent about them,"
"No, seriously, they came around to the garage and I gave it to them," Perry nodded. "They're gonna use it to fight the bad guys," He pushed past the three.
"Yeah, right," Hunter made a face. The three turned and followed Perry away from the bikes.
