Ninja Storm: Rise of the Eclipse- Chapter 23: Shane's Karma: Part I
Disclaimer: Saban owns all Power Ranger lines. I only own Crystal and Lucy and anything else unrecognizable.

"Man, I am worked," Blake groaned, practically falling off the last step into Ninja Ops. "10-mile run, 2 fight simulations, and an obstacle course,"

Hunter ripped his gauntlet off with his teeth. "Don't forget the 2 hours of hard meditation," He added, dropping the gauntlet into his hand.

They all stopped when Crystal smashed into the wall beside them. The blonde fell to the ground with a thud, her limbs sprawled around her. Grunting, Crystal pushed herself up on her hands and knees. Clambering to her feet, the blonde rolled her shoulders back. She wiped her mouth, taking off. She kicked above the Silver Ranger. The brunette blocked her leg, pushing it down. She went for a punch, only for Crystal to catch it. The older Brewer kicked Lucy in the shin, sending the silver ninja to her knee. Lucy yanked Crystal over her body, flipping the ninja. Lucy jumped on top of her, pinning her to the ground. The older Brewer groaned, taking the hit and ending the fight. Lucy set her knee on Crystal's back.

The Gold Ranger's face was smashed in the ground. "Must your knee be in my back?" Her question was a jumbled mess of words.

"Yes," The brunette answered. "To keep you from flipping me and actually ending the fight." Lucy climbed off, standing up. Lucy looked at the chalkboard they had up. They split it into two sections, one for the two of them. There was an even amount of tally marks between the two. She reached down, yanking her sister up off the ground. She wiped the sweat from her forehead. She turned, the tattoo on her left shoulder sparkling in the light. It was a merging sun and moon in glittering silver and black. Twelve tallies sat underneath.

Sweat covered Crystal, her hair taking a big hit. But the biggest thing that the Rangers noticed that tattoos the sisters had. A black and gold sun and moon were inked on the right shoulder of the Gold Ranger. Thirteen golden tally marks sat under the merging sun and moon.

"What do your tattoos mean?" Tori questioned.

Both sisters glanced at each other. "Oh, right, the shoulder one," Crystal scratched her head, wiping the sweat on her pants. "The symbol is the faction we belong in. The tallies are for the years of training as a ninja."

"Cool," Tori nodded. "But that training could have been us, guys. Exactly how many rounds?"

Lucy looked away from the board. "11," She threw her hair into a ponytail, placing her hands on her hips. "Next is rapier training,"

Crystal huffed out a breath."I forgot about that," She groaned, dropping her head and her jacket. "How was your training?"

"Horrible," Dustin answered. "You heard what Sensei had us do,"

Lucy tapped her chin. "It could be worse," She stated. "We ran 15 miles before starting our rounds of training,"

Blake and Hunter winced. "Really?" The Navy Ranger asked. Both sisters nodded.

"You look tired, dude," Dustin clapped Shane on the shoulder. That brought everyone's attention from the sisters to their leader. "Training finally getting to you?" He asked.

Shane was leaning on his knees. "I'm not getting a lot of sleep." He stood and rubbed his eye. " I keep having this weird dream." He admitted.

"You know you should pay attention to the dream, Sensei said that they can tell you more about yourself," Tori stated, looking at the Red Ranger.

Cam looked around, sitting down in his chair. "Speaking of my father, where is he?" He asked, leaning on his knees.

"Hey look," Tori made her way over to Sensei's habitat. She pulled a note from one of the posts. "Rangers, I have gone on a meditation retreat to reflect and recharge my inner ninja. In my absence, enjoy a well-deserved day off." She read out loud. The team gathered around her.

"Wow, is that really what it says?" Shane questioned, plucking the note from Tori's hand and rereading it. The guys started to cheer while the two girls noticed the droopy look Tori had on.

Dustin placed his hand under his chin. "I'm thinking the track then the movies, or maybe the movies then the track." He thought out loud.

"You okay, Tor?" Blake asked, seeing Tori's facial expression. "Come on, don't tell me you can handle a day off." He teased.

"No, a day off is great, especially tomorrow, I just thought Sensei would be around for… you know," Tori's voice trailed off.

"What?" Hunter questioned.

Shane placed his hands on his head. "Man, are we stupid?"

"Maybe," Lucy answered.

Shane shot a look at her. "Cause tomorrow is your birthday." He sang. Tori grinned. Everyone cheered.

Dustin wrapped his arm around Tori. "How about a beach party?" He asked.

"What do you say, Tor?" Blake asked.

"Alright, sure." Tori agreed. "Sounds good to me." She replied.

Hunter stepped back. "Meet at the beach first thing in the morning." Everyone started out of Ninja Ops.

Tori grinned, turning to Shane. "Make sure you get a good night's sleep," She ordered, walking out Ops. "I think tomorrow might be something special."

The next morning, Crystal and Lucy rolled up to the beach. Both had their windows rolled down, laughing. Lucy reached over, lowering the music the two were playing and pointing to the two Rangers standing on the beach. The two brothers turned, seeing Crystal's jeep park next to their truck. The blonde climbed out of her car, smiling over at the boys approaching them. "Mornin' boys,"

"There're the Thunders and Eclipse," Cam's voice rang out. The four turned their heads, watching Cam park right next to Crystal's car.

Tori rounded her van. "Has anyone seen Shane?" She asked. She handed Lucy a chair from the back of her van. Crystal pulled a backpack from the back of her car. She pulled another bag from the back, closing her window and slamming her back gate.

Blake followed Tori. "Yeah, let's get this show on the road," He nodded in agreement.

"We can't leave without him," Dustin spoke up, bring a few floaties with him.

Crystal nodded. "He's supposed to bring the cake," She didn't protest when Hunter snagged the bag she had in her hands. She shouldered her backpack. "The one I ordered last night, hope it looks edible," She muttered to Hunter. The blond chuckled, pressing a kiss to the side of her head.

"Hey, guys!" Shane yelled out, jogging towards the group. He was dressed in athletic shorts and a t-shirt. "Here Tori," He handed the cake box to Tori. "Happy Birthday,"

"Hey," Hunter walked up, taking the cake from the Blue Ranger. He had a swan floaty upside down on his head. "That doesn't look like beachwear, bro,"

Shane shifted around. "Yeah, about that…"

"Don't tell me you're bailing," Tori looked at him.

"Okay, look, I had that same dream against last night," Shane explained to her. "I think it's trying to tell me something."

Tori sighed, chuckling. "Like, how to ruin your friend's birthday?"

"It's just, I have a weird sense something isn't right," Shane told her. "I got to go check the woods,"

Cam walked over. "Shane, I'm the first person to say duty before pleasure," He leaned on the open window of Tori's car. "But I left Cyber-Cam online at Ninja Ops. If anything weird shows up, he'll let us know,"

Shane wasn't having it. "I'll catch up, okay?" He heard Tori sigh. "I promise,"

"Alright," Tori answered him. "But you better!" Tori yelled. Shane took off.

Crystal walked over and placed a hand on Tori's shoulder. "If this is something big, it might help," She told Tori. The Blue Ranger turned to her. "Trust Shane," She smiled. Tori smiled in return. The Gold Ranger grunted when something hit the side of her face. It bounced and hit Tori in the back of the head. Dustin laughed from where he was standing.

Once everything was up, Tori reached down, pulling her towel from her bag. "You guys, do you think we did the right thing?" She questioned. "I mean, maybe we should have gone with him,"

Hunter, who got his shirt off after struggling with it for a second, turned to her. "What? Because he had a nightmare?" He asked. He glanced at his girlfriend, who was already sitting in a beach chair. She had a book in her lap. Lucy stood behind her.

Dustin stood up. "I don't know. Maybe she's right. He seemed pretty tweaked," He glanced at Blake, walking away.

Blake threw his hands in the air. "Come on guys, we're already here," He told everyone. "It's a party, right?"

"Yeah," The Yellow Ranger returned.

Hunter threw his arms in the air, grinning like an idiot. "The last one in the water's a little girl,"

Tori slowly turned her head to him. Hunter's smile fell slowly. "You are so gonna pay for that," Tori inched closer to him, tilting her head in defiance.

Hunter took off, sprinting towards the shoreline. Tori trailed him with Lucy right behind her. The Crimson Ranger rounded the beach, running back up to the group with the two girls not far behind him. He rounded Crystal's chair, stopping behind her. When Tori and Lucy got close, Hunter yanked Crystal from her chair. Crystal gasped, dropping her book. "Hunter put me down," She snapped at him. The crimson ninja only held on tighter. The smaller blonde started to struggle, trying to escape her boyfriend's grasp. He tightened his arms around her abdomen, using her as leverage against the Blue and Silver Rangers.

Tori stopped a few feet from the blonde couple. "Crystal, stop moving so I can hit your boyfriend," She called out. Lucy laughed, watching her sister struggle.

"Hunter, put me down," Crystal laughed. Hunter shook his head. Her legs dropped. "I give up," She leaned her head back, resting it on Hunter's shoulder.

Tori walked up to the two. Hunter dropped Crystal on the sand, taking off again. Tori and Lucy continued to chase Hunter until they got to the ocean. When Hunter got close to the shoreline, Lucy dove after him, tackling him into the ocean.

Two hours later, all the Rangers got in the water. Crystal and Lucy sat on the shoreline, letting the water run up and down their legs while the rest of the Rangers were out in the ocean. They were floating near each other, messing around and dragging each other under the water. Dustin had pushed up in the ocean, shoving Cam under the water. Blake yanked Hunter under the water, making the Crimson Ranger kick him in the chest. Tori waded, pushing herself toward the sisters.

Crystal shoved her sunglasses up her nose. She ran a hand through her wet hair. "If you're still upset about ranks, don't be. Mao is the only one that knows everything,"

Lucy sighed. "I made one mistake, and I lost the chance to move up," She spoke, pushing her glasses up. "If that master hadn't provoked, as he shouldn't have, I would have been one step closer,"

Crystal threw a handful of wet sand at her sister. "Pel's an idiot," She responded. "He's been provoking the two of us since we walked in. He doesn't know what he's talking about," She stood from her spot, seeing Tori and Dustin coming out of the ocean. "Come on, I think we're doing cake,"

"Hey, party animals," Cyber Cam's voice rang out through Cam's morpher. "I think we have a problem. We've got an alien visitor in the forest, and here's a newsworthy item… He isn't working for Lothor,"

Cam lifted his morpher. "Can you reach Shane?" He asked.

"No can do," Cyber Cam answered. "Whatever that spaceship is, it's interfering with Shane's morpher,"

"Well, keep trying. I'm on my way." Cam told him.

"You're going back?" Tori asked, standing beside Dustin.

"Only until I figure out what's going on," Cam answered her. "With dad out of town, I just feel better checking things out myself,"

Hunter nodded. "We'll come with you,"

The Green Ranger turned to the Thunders. "No, stay," He replied. "There's nothing we can do until we know what we're dealing with." He headed back to Ops.

Dustin walked closer to Tori. "Well, maybe it's a good alien," He shrugged. "I mean, no-one ever considers that possibility,"

"Dustin," Crystal sighed. "When does any alien ever seem good? And please don't answer that,"

"Hey," Blake walked closer to Tori. "Don't let this get you down, okay?" He placed a floaty is upside down on her head. "We can still have fun," He motioned to the six Rangers.

Hunter nodded, wrapping an arm around Crystal's shoulders. "Yeah," He agreed.

Tori sighed. "You're right," She told the group. "I guess the day isn't completely ruined."

Lucy threw her hands up in the air. "I thought we were doing cake,"

The Rangers were about to dig into the cake that Shane brought when Hunter's morpher went off. Everyone groaned. "We've got a problem. If that ship remains cloaked, I've got no way to track it,"

"Any word from Shane?" Hunter asked, his morpher by his face. He exchanged a worried look with Crystal, who was standing by him.

Cam shook his head. "His frequency is still jammed."

"He must be close to the source of the disturbance," Cyber Cam answered. Cam, being fed up with his creation, slammed his hand down on the middle button, making Cyber Cam disappear.

"Let us know if anything changes," Hunter told Cam. He moved his arm down, signaling that they ended the call.

Tori rounded him and Crystal. "Birthday or no, I think we better get back,"

Dustin walked up to the three. "Yeah, let's get out of here before some Kelzaks show up,"

Blake groaned. "Aw, you had to say it, didn't you?" He asked, pointing somewhere. The rest of the Rangers turned, spotting a pod of Kelzaks on the beach.

"Let's check it out," Crystal told the group. They all took off running towards the monsters.

"Chairs, tables," Kapri listened off. She and Marah stood on the beach, in a more reclusive area. They were collecting random things for their high school reunion that they were hosting. Lothor had kicked them off the ship, saying that the ship was only for evil plans, not parties.

"So this could work," Marah motioned around. "Oh," She turned to a Kelzak that was holding a dead flower. "Dead flowers over there," She pointed. She looked around. " And the banquet table… probably over there," She suggested. "Ooh, we need dry ice,"

Kapri laughed. "You know, this party might not be a total disaster,"

"Hey!" Blake called out, grabbing everyone's attention. "If an alien freak throws a party, and no one shows up, is it still a party?"

Marah and Kapri turned, finding the six rangers standing on the rocks. Crystal and Lucy stood in front of the rest of the rangers. "Then would the alien freak even be throwing a party?" Lucy scratched her temple, turning a little to see Blake. He pointed to her.

"Aw man, I hate it when they do that!" Kapri yelled. She hit Marah on the shoulder. "Hey, come on," She turned back when she noticed that Marah wasn't following.

"What, I'm just thinking about it," Marah answered. All the Rangers shared looks as they chuckled. "If an Alien freak…" She reiterated.

"Would you come on?" Kapri asked. "Hey, Kelzaks!" The two backed away from the fight.

The six jumped off their spot. They met the wall of Kelzaks perfectly fine. Each Ranger was trying to destroy as many pieces of the party as possible. Lucy flipped onto a table, kicking a Kelzak in the face. She pressed her foot into a blade and kicked the Kelzak in the chest. She blocked a punch with a vase, then threw another one at a Kelzak.

Crystal flipped a Kelzak over. She stopped a blade from hitting her, kicking the Kelzak in the leg. She rolled underneath one, kicking him into a table. When she stood up, she flipped another Kelzak onto his back. The Rangers regrouped quickly. Crystal's morpher went off.

"Guys, we've got a bigger problem," Cam spoke. "Zurgane's taking a new zord for a test drive, and I can't access the Thunder Zord or the Coyote,"

"Hey, Tor, Crystal, you guys up for a three-way?" Dustin inquired.

Tori nodded. "Oh yeah, no one ruins my birthday,"

"Ready?" Crystal asked.

"Ready,"

Ninja Storm, Ranger Form

Thunder Storm, Ranger Form

Eclipse Storm, Ranger Form

Power of Earth

Power of Water

Power of Thunder

Guardian of the Sun

Guardian of the Moon

Once everyone morphed, Tori, Crystal, and Dustin took off. That left the Eclipse and Thunder Rangers to deal with the Kelzaks on the ground. The Silver Ranger kicked a Kelzak away. She blocked a punch. Roundhouse kicking a Kelzak, Lucy backflipped, landing in a circle of Kelzaks.

A few miles away from the beach fight, the Swan-Wind Megazord stood over downtown Blue Bay. It was facing the giant monster robot creation that Zurgane was in control of. "You're toast," Tori told Zurgane. Crystal and Dustin agreed with her.

The Megazord took one step closer to the General's zord. But the large hoop around the head of Zurgane's robot glowed red. It shot red lightning at the Wind Megazord. The Rangers stumbled back. "Time to light me fire," Dustin stated. "Lightning Mode," The sleeker Megazord style appeared in seconds, kicking the swan from its body. It went to kick Zurgane's monster, but the General blocked the kick. He sent the Ranger's Megazord flying back to an open area in the city. The Megazord turned around, bouncing as it held its ground.

"Impressive," Zurgane crowed. "But you're not the only one with a lightning mode at your disposal," Within that second, Zurgane's monster had slimmed down on its armor, matching the Megazord's lightning mode. "Cower Rangers!"

"That's P for Power Rangers," Dustin shot back.

"He's got a lightning mode," Tori pointed out.

"And I know how to use it!" Zurgane yelled at the Rangers.

"Not good," Crystal muttered.

The two Megazords pushed off the ground, intending to punch each other. They got the hits, but both punches sent them back. They went in for kicks, colliding once more. Zurgane had the upper hand, kicking the Winds in the chest. The Megazord crumpled to the ground, letting go of the lightening mode. The swan went in, attacking Zurgane. It kicked and flapped around, trying to distract the general.

Back on the ground, Lucy, Hunter, and Blake had a harder time taking out all the Kelzaks. The brothers were still destroying all the party favors and supplies. They were kicking Kelzaks back and flipping them onto tables. Lucy had pulled her rapier out, wanting to slash all her Kelzaks down. She backflipped to avoid a swing. She landed in a crouch position, pushing up and slicing a Kelzak in the stomach. She slashed her blade upwards, sending a Kelzak into a few others.

"Hello, losers?" Kapri asked.

Marah groaned. "Does this mean we have to find a new location for our reunion?"

"Yeah…" Kapri groaned. She snapped her fingers, making her, her sister, and Kelzaks disappear.

"They bailed," Blake groaned.

Hunter nodded. "Power down,"

The three threw their hand in front of their chests, breaking their morphs. The three looked around. Lucy watched Hunter picked up a vase of dead flowers. "Sensei picked a back day to take off," Blake told the two.

Lucy nodded. "Can we just get back to Ops?"

"Yeah, let's see if the others are okay," Hunter threw the dead flowers on the ground, heading back to the stuff with his brother and Lucy in tow.

Meanwhile, Cam was flying in to help relive the Megazord. The Star Megazord formed in a second. "You got room for one more?"

Zurgane moved his Megazord up, slashing at the Star Megazord. He shoved the Swan off, sending it into the side of a mountain. He pinned Cam to the street. The Swan-Wind Megazord stomped over to Zurgane, pulling its own rapier from its back. It slashed down on the monster, taking its attention away from the Samurai Ranger. Zurgane sped past the Swan-Wind Megazord. The Megazord fell to the ground.

"Your number is up… Power Rangers," Zurgane spoke. He sent lightning to the Wind Megazord. It affects the Megazord so much, it ejected Tori, Crystal, and Dustin from their cockpits. "Now, to finish the job. Goodbye, Power Rangers," Zurgane went to punch Tori, Crystal, and Dustin but something stopped it.

Cam had maneuvered the Star Megazord to ram into Zurgane, detracting him. "Back to Ops!" He yelled, pulling the Megazord away. In a matter of seconds, the Star Megazord disappeared from Zurgane's sight. Tori, Crystal, and Dustin streaked out of the lot, heading back to ops.

That left Zurgane alone in his mechanical machine. "You can run, Power Rangers, but you can't hide," He crackled.

"The Storm and Samurai Star are badly damaged," Cam reported to Hunter, walking shoulder to shoulder with the taller ninja. "It'll take hours, maybe days, to make the repairs, and the Swan will take double that,"

"What about the Thunder Zords?" The Crimson Ranger asked.

Cam sighed. "No luck accessing them yet or the Coyote either,"

Lucy groaned. "Great, no Zords and Zurgane's running loose in the city,"

"Yeah, someday off," Blake muttered.

Dustin and Tori walked in last. Dustin threw his arm over Tori's shoulder. "This must be the worst birthday ever," He told her.

"I can't even think about that," Tori told him. "I just have this terrible feeling that Shane's in trouble,"

"You might be right about that feeling." Crystal turned to Tori. "Without the zords and Zurgane on the loose, things don't look particularly bright," Everyone nodded in agreement.
