Ninja Storm: Rise of the Eclipse- Chapter 28: General Deception: Part I
Disclaimer: Saban owns all Power Ranger lines. I only own Crystal and Lucy and anything else unrecognizable.

It was another typical day for the Rangers, as typical as they could get. The Ranger boys planned on taking the weekend to camp. So, there they were, packing up Tori's van. The problem was, it was packed to the brim. Tori sighed, picking up another bag and shoving it into the back of her van. "I thought you guys were going camping for a few days." The blonde turned around, shoving the bag further into her car. "There's enough stuff here to outfit a whole city,"

Hunter stopped walking, turning to see his teammate. "What? It's just the necessities," He commented. At that time, Dustin walked out with a TV in his hands.

"A TV?" Lucy questioned, staring at the small box in the Yellow Ranger's arms.

Dustin moved to the side of Tori's van. "How else are we gonna watch the Supercross tomorrow?"

The Blue and Gold Rangers reach up, slamming the back of Tori's car closed. "You're not supposed to watch the supercross, Dustin," Tori argued. "That's why it's called 'roughing it',"

"You want me to follow?" Crystal faced Tori. The water ninja nodded. "Great. Lu, you get to pick what car you ride in, and I'll take some of the boys from you, Tori,"

"I'll ride with Tori," Lucy announced. "I'm getting shotgun,"

"Deal," Tori smirked.

"Well, if a man was meant to rough it, why did he invent portable generators?" Shane joined in, placing a generator into the car.

"At this rate, it's only gonna be me and you," Lucy muttered to Tori, climbing into the front seat of the van. "Which is fine by me. Crystal can take the boys,"

"Get in the cars before we all change our minds," Tori retorted.

Blake climbed into the back of Tori's van, taking up the last spot. Crystal led the rest of the boys over to her jeep, wrenching open the door. She slid into her spot. Hunter took the passenger's seat while Shane and Dustin took the back. "Thanks for giving us a ride," Shane stated, staring at the blonde in the front seat.

"Gives me a chance to see you boys roughing it." Crystal smirked. "Plus, Tori and I can come to get you if anything goes horribly, and utterly, wrong,"

"Are you saying it will?" Hunter raised an eyebrow. "We're highly trained ninjas. What could go wrong?"

"Everything," Crystal turned to him. "Everything could go wrong, Hunter,"

"Have you guys ever wondered why the sky is blue and not, like, see-through?" Dustin asked halfway through the ride.

"No," Shane replied.

Hunter shook his head. "Not me,"

"Well, 'cause, I mean, it's air, right?" Dustin tried. "It should be see-through. You ever wonder about that?" He turned his head to the Red Ranger beside him.

"Uh, Dustin, I'm the air guy." Shane smiled over at his best friend. "You know, power of air… you worry about the dirt. Figure out why dirt's brown," The boys laughed.

"Blue is the shortest light wave. So when the sun hits the mixture of gasses in the atmosphere, they turn blue." Crystal answered Dustin's question. All the guys stared at her. "I went to school. Graduated this year."

"Oh yeah?" Shane challenged.

"Yeah, top of my class." Crystal smirked. "And I pulled out the last few months because of the Power Ranger gig,"

"That's my girlfriend," Hunter smiled at her. The two fist-bumped.

"I was just asking," Dustin retorted.

A few miles up the road, Tori's van suddenly stopped. Crystal slammed on her brakes, rolling down her window in the process. Sticking her head out the window, the Gold Ranger spotted a young woman standing in the middle of the road. "That doesn't look promising," She muttered then turned to the boys. "A girl is asking for help,"

"Last time we stopped on the side of the road, our school got sucked into space," Dustin pointed out.

Crystal followed Tori's lead, pulling off on the side of the road. She climbed out, keys in hand. Slamming her door, the blonde jogged up to the girl with Tori and Shane behind her. "Thank you," the girl breathed.

"Are you all right?" Tori questioned.

"It's my friend. We need help." The girl looked around at the boys that surrounded her and the other three girls. "Do you guys have some rope?"

"Yeah, in the back of my jeep," Crystal jabbed her thumb at her car.

Shane and Hunter rounded the two cars, opening the tailgate of the jeep. Inside they found a coil of rope and a duffel bag. "Got it," Shane called, moving around with Hunter trailing behind him.

The Rangers and the girl ran to where bystanders were. The girl reached the edge, looking down the side of the cliff. "Our silly little rope broke," She explained. "She's stuck,"

Shane reached the edge with Hunter and Dustin holding him from falling. Tori was holding the girl back. The girl didn't move. "Help me!"

"Hold on!" Shane called. "We're going to get out out of there!"

"Lower me down. I'm the lightest," Blake stated.

"The harness isn't gonna fit you," Lucy protested. "It fits Rys and me,"

"I'll go," Crystal spoke up. "I've free and rock climbed plenty of times before,"

"Okay," Shane scrambled to his feet. The boys gathered in a group. "All right, we should be ready to bail and go Ranger mode if anything gets ugly,"

"Reading your mind, bro," Hunter hit Shane's chest. He bent down, picking up the rope that was deposited on the ground.

The boys turned, seeing Crystal clipping herself into the harness. Hunter reached over, setting a helmet on Crystal's head. She wrinkled her nose but clipped the helmet on under her chin and accepted the quick kiss from Hunter. Sliding her gloves on, she watched Lucy clipped her harness onto the rope. The two tapped forearms.

"All right guys, don't drop me." Crystal glanced at the four Ranger boys that were standing by the rope, ready to support the golden ninja.

"Help me!" The girl cried out again.

"Ready." Shane nodded to the boys.

Crystal backed up, starting her descent down the side of the cliff. "Give me some slack, guys," She bounded down the side of the cliff. In a few jumps, the blonde reached the girl. She was crying. "Hey, you're doing great. Don't worry," She smiled, trying to calm the girl down. "I'm gonna get ya out of here." The girl didn't even open her eyes. Crystal started getting worried. "Hey, are you okay?"

In a flash, the girl turned into a kelzak. Crystal gulped. This wasn't going to be good.

Up top, Shane and Lucy were standing where the blonde ninja has started moments ago. The brunette took one look at the rope, frowning and scrunching her brows. When she realized what was happening with the rope, Lucy surged forward. "It's slipping!" She snapped.

Tori moved to peer over the edge with Lucy. "Crystal!" She yelled. "Is she okay?" She asked Shane who came around to see. She turned back to see panic written in Hunter's eyes.

"She's fine," The girl stated from where Hunter and Dustin had her. They raised eyebrows at her. There was a flash. The girl was gone. In her place was a Kelzak fury. It shoved the Crimson and Yellow Rangers toward the others. The bystanders moved closer to the team. In a flash, furies stood against them.

Lucy groaned. "I knew there was something off,"

"I so did not see that coming," Tori looked over at Shane.

"That's what I was hoping." Zurgane appeared. "Attack!"

The furies advanced on the Rangers. Hunter blocked a kick, falling to the ground to avoid two more. He kicked around, sending a few out of his group. He rolled out of the way of two blades.

Dustin went for a swing but got caught by the fury. His arm was pulled behind him while another hit his stomach. The Yellow Ranger caught it, rotating his wrist and flipping the Kelzak to the ground.

Shane used his elbow to avoid a swing. He whipped around, using his elbow again to block another hit. He kept blocking attacks from the Kelzak until one made a move. The Kelzak tackled Blake to the ground.

Blake went for a hit on one Kelzak blocking another swing at the same time. He ducked under an arm that was swinging. He kicked up, sending a Kelzak to the ground.

Tori threw a punch, hitting a Kelzak in the face. She rolled under a Kelzak, kicking it to the ground. She flipped herself over, landing on her feet while simultaneously blocking another hit.

Lucy ducked under a punch, throwing her leg over the fury. She turned around, noticing the rope that held Crystal was moving too much. She jumped over the barricade, kneeling on the ground. "Crystal!" Hunter wasn't far behind the Silver Ranger

The Gold Ranger didn't hear her. She was busy trying not to die and not to fall. One hand wrapped around the rope, the blonde caught a swing, pushing it back at the fury. She swung around, avoiding a blow. She kicked back, sending the Kelzak to the opposite side of the cliff face. She went for another kick, but the Kelzak was faster. It kicked her other leg, sending her upside down. She grumbled.

Crystal wrapped the rope around her leg, using it to keep her on the side of the cliff. She pushed back, but the Kelzak wrapped its hand around her rope, slicing it. "No, no, no," She screamed, falling to the ground. She couldn't hear was Lucy and Hunter were yelling but it wasn't good.

Eclipse Storm, Ranger Form

Pushing off the side of the cliff, Crystal morphed in seconds. She landed on her feet, on the ground. Streaking up the side of the cliff, Crystal hit the Kelzak that was dangling from the rope.

When none of the Rangers were able to land hits on the furies, they regrouped. Zurgane met them with the furies surrounding him. What made it worse was Crystal wasn't answering. The Rangers could hear Lucy seething while she stood in front of the rest of the team. They understood. It was her family who was down there, not answering.

Then, a flash of gold. Decked in her gold Ranger suit, rapier on her shoulder, was Crystal. The sun shined brightly, reflecting off her helmet. The solar guardian stood, rotating her wrist and setting the tip of her rapier on the ground. "Really thought you could kill me?" Crystal snorted. "I'm a little hard to kill if you couldn't tell by now." The helmet turned to the side, signaling that she was talking to the team. "I'm so over this bozo."

Lucy cracked her knuckles, smirking. "It's time we kick Zurgane's ass into next week,"

"I'm with the sisters on this one," Shane agreed. "Ready?"

"Ready,"

The Rangers took off, running into the pods of Kelzaks. They each pulled their primary weapon, using it to their advantage. Blake had his staff in the form of a star, using it to strike the Kelzaks. He flipped over a few, landing. He jumped up, sending stars at the Kelzaks, pushing them to the ground.

Hunter whipped his elongated staff around. He struck a few but they pushed back. He swung it around again, hitting one in the shoulder and sending it to the ground.

"Ninja sword," Shane called, powering up his sword. "Gold mode." He swung it around striking the few Kelzaks around him.

The other winds had the same idea. "Gold mode," They called, lifting their swords above their heads. "Power up." The two send bursts of power at their combined pod, sending them all to the ground.

Shane struck a few more on his way to take out Zurgane. He blocked the general's sword. Zurgane pushed Shane back, sending him rolling. Shane got to his knees.

"You want to play rough? That's fine," Shane called, lifting his arms above his head. "Battlizer." In seconds, Shane was outfitted with his suit. He pushed off the ground, calling on flight mode to help. He flew above the furies, powering up his suit. "Battlizer engage. Fire!" He sent bursts of power at the furies, sending them all to the ground.

Crystal yelled out, swiping above Zurgane's head. He ducked, whipping around to match the footing of the Ranger across from him. She struck his chest. Turning around, she struck his back, drawing his attention to her. He swung a sword at her. The blonde blocked it, pushing against him. She went for an upper hit but hit him in the legs. He fell to his knee but got up. He turned, swinging at the blonde. She avoided the swing, blocking another. Zurgane surprised her, sending her on her back.

A silver streak hit Zurgane multiple times, sending him sprawling. He turned his head, seeing Lucy helping her sister up. Taking off towards Zurgane, the Silver Ranger hit his shoulder. When he turned, Lucy rolled, taking his leg out while she moved. The Silver Ranger ran at him, jumping before the general. She turned, slicing down his back, then kicked his feet from under him. When she stood, the brunette roundhouse kicked Zurgane in the head.

Zurgane groaned from where he landed. The Rangers took off, leaving the general to lick his wounds.

"All right Sensei, whatever you think is best," Shane stated, walking out of the forest. Dustin and Hunter trailed him from the trail they found. He faced the three girls that were standing by their cars. "All right, he told us there's nothing we can do back there that we can't do here,"

Dustin patted his shoulder. "Cool. So, we camp?"

"We camp!" Shane smiled. The boys shared laughs and high fives.

"I still don't know how you guys call it camping," Tori butted in.

"Tori, don't say anything until you experience it," Blake replied.

"We're not experiencing anything," Crystal added in, slamming her tailgate closed. She had replaced her harness bag but threw her snapped rope away. "We're dropping you off then we're getting outta there. As much as I love nature, I'm not excited to see how you boys camp,"

"Crystal, are you okay?" Shane asked, leaning on the top of her back door.

"Startled and promising myself that I'm never climbing again." The blonde answered. She turned to see Hunter standing in front of her.

"You sure you're okay?"

Crystal rested her head against his chest. "Scared the crap outta me,"

"Me too," Hunter added, wrapping his arms around her.

"Hey lovebirds, we gotta move!" Lucy yelled from the window of Tori's van.

The two turned to her. "You know, I'm gonna terrorize her when she gets a boyfriend," The shorter ninja sighed, glancing up at Hunter. He smiled, kissing her. The two separated, climbing into the respective seats. Crystal started her jeep, hearing it rumble to life. She trailed the blue van in front of her, following Tori to the campsite.

Tori and Lucy lifted the last of the bags from the back of Tori's van. Crystal reached up, shutting the back. The two moved to the pile that was sitting for the boys. "That's the last of it," The girl in blue commented. All three girls stopped.

The boys had a cabana like tent up. Cords were running throughout the campsite. Three of the four boys were sitting in camping chairs. "Here's the TV, boys," Shane called.

"I can't believe this is what they call camping." Crystal placed her head in her hand.

Lucy leaned over to her. "It's more like glorified camping if you ask me."

"You have got to be kidding." Tori didn't sound pleased.

Shane placed the miniature TV on a table. "Now, this is the life," He smiled.

"This isn't camping. It's a resort," Tori fired back. "All you need is a water slide and a luau,"

Dustin caught the remote, pointing at the girls. "That would be cool." He flipped on the TV to the Supercross event.

"Yeah," Blake agreed, laughing.

"Hey, anyone wanna order pizza?" Hunter questioned. Dustin raised his hand.

"Yeah, I'm in." Blake agreed. "But none of that ham and pineapple stuff, though, huh?"

Hunter stopped. "Fine," He picked up his phone, groaning again. "No signal. Look like we're having hamburgers. Where's the fridge?"

"I can't believe this is what my boyfriend thinks is roughing it," Crystal grumbled, her hand on her forehead.

"You guys are missing the point," Lucy spoke up.

"The point is to have fun," Blake replied. "Sure you three don't want to stay?"

"Thanks, but we gotta get back," Tori told them. "Cam needs help at Ninja Ops," Two of the three moved to their cars. Lucy took the passenger's side of Crystal's car. The blonde in gold only stood by the hood of her car. "But, well be back to pick you guys up the day after tomorrow. Bye!"

"See ya, girls!" The guys yelled.

Tori slid into her seat, buckling herself in. She sighed, starting her car. When she tried to drive off, her back tires got stuck. The Blue Ranger tried again, but her van didn't move. She glanced out her window before turning to the guys. "Uh, guy, can I get a little help?"

"On the count of 3…" Tori called out, sitting in her van. The boys were standing behind, ready to push her car out of the mud pit. "1, 2, 3." She stomped on the gas. The boys pushed, grunting while they shoved against the van. Tori leaned out her window, smiling at the boys. But what she didn't expect was her car getting out of the mud. Her van went forward, crashing into the generator.

"Oh, no," Lucy breathed, from where she was sitting on the hood of Crystal's car. The two didn't want to get involved, but they would if the boys weren't able to get the van out of the mud.

The four mud-covered boys walked in front of Tori's van. The Blue Ranger winced. "Oops,"

Half an hour later, Tori, Crystal, and Lucy sat by the stream. The blonde in gold was lying on her back, picking at the strings of her guitar. "Man, how long do those boys take?" She grumbled, striking a few more cords.

"Aw, man, I haven't had that much mud in my eyes since I ran out of tear-offs last week," Dustin stated, walking over to the girls.

"You guys, I'm so sorry about your generator," Tori apologized, standing up. Crystal and Lucy followed her lead. Only the blonde went to put her guitar away.

Blake waved her off. "Aw, it's not your fault. Things happen,"

"How was the shower?" Tori questioned, tucking her hands into the back of her jeans.

"Uh, you could say it was refreshing," Shane responded.

Hunter leaned on Blake and Dustin. "Well, cold would be more accurate,"

"You boys smell a lot better, though," Crystal cracked a smile at him. Hunter rolled his eyes, wrapping his arms around her shoulders, standing behind her. "Well, we know that this doesn't exactly make up for it, but burgers are on the grill, and sodas are getting cold in the stream." She felt Hunter kiss her head.

Blake smiled. "Sounds good to me." He moved over to the grill, opening it up. Inside were rows of burgers. "You're forgiven," He chuckled.

"Good, cause I thought that the ride back home was gonna be awkward," Lucy commented.

There was a crackle. The Rangers turned their heads to find two streaks landing a mile away from them. "We better go check it out," Shane called, taking off.

The Rangers reached the field in minutes. They stopped in a group, seeing Vexacus and Shimazu were standing. Crystal and Lucy stood in the front with Tori and Hunter behind them. "I thought I smelled trash," The crimson ninja insulted.

"Oh, we'll see who gets trashed," Vexacus stood his ground. Shimazu stood behind him.

"No offense, but you two don't seem like the outdoor types," Shane fired back.

"We're not. We came to watch your ultimate demise." Vexacus pointed at the Rangers.

"Don't you mean 'Cause our ultimate demise'?" Tori rephrased.

Vexacus pointed to her. "Okay, I like your way better," He shot a laser at the Rangers, sending them scrambling.

Crystal rolled, landing on her knees. "Next time, don't give them ideas," She breathed.

The Rangers regrouped. "Man, just when you thought it was safe to have a day off," Shane looked around. "Ready,"

The Rangers moved around. "Ready,"

The Rangers flipped over the generals, pulling out their weapons. The winds took on Vexacus. Each of the primary ninjas tried to hit the general, resulting in them being flipped. Dustin went for a strike, but Vexacus caught it. "Your sword cannot hurt me, boy." He sent Dustin flying.

"All right guys, let's put them together," Shane ordered.

"Storm Striker!"

"Strike this," Vexacus sent bursts at the Rangers, making the three drop their weapon. "You like spaghetti?" He threw his arms out. Blue tentacles latched onto the primary Rangers, sending waves of electricity to them. He lifted them off the ground, sending them crashing into each other. The Wind Rangers fell to the ground.

Meanwhile, the Thunders weren't having a ball either. Blake went for an attack, clamping his pinchers around the waist of Shimazu. "Not this time!" The warlord stated, laughing. He pushed Blake back, pushing him in various areas of his abdomen. Blake went for another swing, but Shimazu dodged, kicking Black in the legs.

"Thunder staff. Tornado star," Hunter pulled his staff out, rearranging it so it was in star formation. "Try this!" He challenged. He threw a burst of power at the warlord, causing sparks. Shimazu laughed, disappearing. "What?"

"Where'd he go?" Blake asked, climbing to his knee. He turned, seeing something. "Huh?"

Suddenly, a large head version of Shimazu was flying around the brothers. "I'm so close to victory, I can taste it!" His tongue turned snake-like, hitting the brothers in the chest. His eyes sent red lightning at the ninjas, sending them to the ground.

"We're getting licked?" Hunter questioned.

Vexacus and Shimazu stood in front of the Thunder Rangers. The Winds moved in front of them. They laughed. "It seems you have met your match," Shimazu pointed out.

"You are finished, Rangers," The two advanced on the five.

Green lasers landed in front of the generals, pushing them back. Cam flipped over the seven. Everyone breathed. "Cam, great!" Tori pointed out.

"I've picked up something on the radar headed this way," Cam stated, not turning away from the generals.

The Rangers dashed over to him. "What?" Shane asked, grabbing Cam's vest. "Worse than these two super freaks?"

"Yeah, way worse," Cam pushed Shane's arms off him.

"Hey, Rangers… " Vexacus yelled. "Nobody's worse than we are,"

"I would have to agree," Shimazu sounded like he was smiling.

Hunter clenched his fist. "No one ruins my weekend,"

"Thunderstorm Cannon!" The five put their weapons together. "Ready? Fire!"

None of the Rangers were ready for what came next. Vexacus and Shimazu blocked the energy ball, sending it back at the five. It caused a large smoke storm to rollover where the Rangers were standing. They ended up scattered on the ground.

"Guys!" Cam ran over to the five.

"This is too easy," Shimazu gloated.

"That's what you think!"

A silver streak knocked against the two generals. Lucy stopped in front of the team, her rapier in her hand. She spun it around, holding it in a defensive position. Shimazu ran at her, throwing his arm out. Lucy blocked it, flipping him to the ground. She turned around, ready for Vexacus to attack. He pulled his weapon out. The two charged at each other, dancing and pairing around each other. The Silver Ranger got the upper hand, kicking Vexacus in the face.

Shimazu was about to take Lucy from behind if Crystal hadn't stepped in. "You afraid, warlord?" She tightened her grip on her staff.

"Sunspot, am I ever?" Shimazu replied, charging the Gold Ranger.

Crystal readjusted her staff, ready for his attack. Before the general could hit the Ranger, Crystal swung up, hitting Shimazu in the face with the sun on her staff. Reeling back, Shimazu took off again. The blonde blocked his swing, kicking him back. The general went stumble, allowing the Gold Ranger to continue her onslaught. She whipped around, striking Shimazu in the stomach.

The two girls regrouped in front of the fallen Rangers, still on the defensive. "Too easy," Lucy smirked, shaking her head at the generals. "I thought Lothor had good generals. Not the suckers that got their asses handed to them by the Guardians,"

The ground started to shake under everyone. Vexacus and Shimazu braced themselves. The downed Rangers stayed down, while the three standing had to brace themselves too. A few yards from where the Rangers were fighting the two generals, a large zord erupted from the ground. It matched the colors of the Wind Megazord. A voice crackled from the speakers. "Prepare to be destroyed!"

"It's Zurgane," Cam pointed out.

"Aw, not again," Shane grumbled.

"He has another one?!" Lucy threw her head back. Her shoulders slumped. "Will this guy ever quit?"

"I don't think so, not until we're destroyed," Crystal reiterated.

"Fight me if you dare," Zurgane challenged.

"Haven't you had enough failure for one day?" Shimazu wildly gestured around.

The five Rangers climbed to their feet. "You're on, Zurgane," Shane clenched his fist. The others agreed. The eight stepped forward, streaking into the zords. "Let's do it!" Shane rallied.

The four Megazords stood across from Zurgane. The Eclipse stood behind the three, signaling that they were waiting for someone else to move.

"I'm waiting," Zurgane grumbled.

"We haven't used this one in a while," Tori stated, holding a disk up. She placed it in her console. "Power disk. Locked and dropped." The front of the Wind Megazord opened up, popping a sphere out of the front of the Megazord. It opened to reveal a starfish-like weapon.

"Star Blazer," The three called out, using the weapon against the zord. Stars attached to various parts of the Zurganezord, causing sparks and explosions.

"That got him!" Tori pointed out.

The Thunder Megazord stepped in front of the Winds. "This one's mine," Hunter stated. "Power disk; locked, and dropped." The Thunder Megazord's front opened up, pushing a purple sphere out of the chest.

"Sting Blaster," The two announced.

"Why is he sitting there?" Lucy asked Crystal.

The Thunder Megazord lifted the blaster, firing lasers at the zord. The Zurganezord slashed the blast, causing both Megazords to stumble. The smaller Star Megazord plodded in front of the Thunder Megazord. "I got one for ya!" Cam announced. "Locked and Dropped," The Star Megazord formed the sphere. The bee-spinner popped out, attaching to Cam's Megazord. He sent it spinning, hitting Zurgane in the chest. He blocked it. The Rangers scrambled around, standing in a row.

"Now it's my turn," Zurgane announced. His zord moved its hands in front of its chest. He threw his arms out, sending blasts of lightning at the Megazords. All four Megazords went crashing, shaking the ground underneath them.

"Whoa," Shimazu backed up.

"Hmm… Interesting turn of events," Vexacus commented.

Zurgane chortled. "My victory is at hand!"

Ah! Hello, cruel world. It's me again. I know… I know… I know, too damn long since I posted anything. Well, here's the rundown. Corona sent me home from university and I was studying and spending time with family. Then this semester got busy, so I will try to finish this as fast as possible. Again, so sorry but I have a personal life and school that gets in the way.
