Ninja Storm: Rise of the Eclipse- Chapter 32: Down and Dirty

"Welcome to the Blue bay Harbor Motocross and the last qualifier before the nationals next month. The top four riders this season will qualify for the big show, so there's a lot at stake here, folks,"

It was supposed to be a typical racing day.

Crystal found herself walking with Blake, Hunter, and Kelly on the track. Hunter was swinging his arms, warming himself up for the race. The shorter blonde had her race earlier, claiming the number one spot for the season. However, after her race, Crystal pulled out of another one due to the massive headache she had suddenly developed. She brushed it off, but both brothers and Kelly were worried about her. So now, she was tottering along, one of Hunter's hats shading her eyes from the sun.

Ironic, Crystal thought as she rolled her eyes. Her head pounded at that.

"You put in a new air filter, right?" Kelly questioned, walking beside Blake.

"Yeah,"

"Did you seal it so no dirt gets in your airbox?" Hunter followed up.

Blake sighed. "Bro, I'm not an idiot,"

"Has anyone seen Dustin?" Kelly questioned.

The three riders glanced around. "Nah, I thought he'd be here for sure," Hunter answered.

"The gates are down, and there they go!" The announcement called as the riders cleared the starting gate. "And it looks like a clean start from the gate with Hunter Bradley taking an early lead on the inside of the track."

Kelly and Crystal stood side by side, watching the two brothers take each other on. The blonde was biting her nails, watching the two fight for first place.

"Now it's Hunter and Blake Bradley out in front, and they're battling!" The announcer went on. "You won't even know these guys are brothers. They come into the last turn side by side, and, oh, Blake takes Hunter's lead." Blake booked it in front of Hunter, causing the crimson ninja to steer off the path and then turn around to try and take the lead. "And Blake comes out on top in that exchange. Folks, that's just good clean racing,"

Crystal and Kelly watch as Blake takes a considerable lead on Hunter, ending up in first with Hunter right behind him. The blonde ninja sighed. "This isn't going to end well,"

"And Blake Bradley takes the win! That was a close race, ladies and gentlemen,"

By the time the store owner and rider made it to the brothers, they were arguing. "Do you realize that this means I don't make nationals?" Hunter grounded out.

"So what?" Blake shot back. "You said you can't go anyway." He turned around and slammed the tool in his hand on the toolbox. "Hey, you know what I think?" He moved closer to his older brother. "I think you're just mad because you got beat by your little brother. If it had been any one of these other guys, it would have been a clean pass. But because it was me—" He didn't get to finish because Hunter was already stomping off. At one point, he kicked a plastic chair out of his way.

"I would ask what's going on, but I think I already know," Crystal spoke up from behind Blake. "I'll go get Hunter." She took off, trailing the angry ninja.

"Hunter!" Crystal called, chasing after her boyfriend.

The crimson-clad blond stopped, his back still facing his girlfriend. "What?" He snapped.

"Don't get snarky with me just because you're mad at your brother," Crystal snipped back.

"Crystal, wait!" Hunter turned around.

The blonde whirled on him. "There are people that are trying to help. I'll be loading the bikes when you're done brooding, oh, grumpy one." Crystal bites back, disappearing down the same hill she had followed Hunter up.

Crystal and Lucy sat in Ops, playing another round of whatever board game they pulled from the closet. Finally, Lucy rolled the dice and moved her piece. "Have you seen Hunter since the race?"

"No," The blonded sighed, reaching for the dice. "He snapped at me and I'm mad that he just took his anger out on me when he and his brother were fighting,"

"Are fighting," Cam corrected, turning around in his chair. He placed his hands on his knees, leaning forward. "What is it about anyway?"

"Blake smoked Hunter in the national qualifiers and Hunter's thinking that Blake went after him," Crystal explained, leaning her head on the table. "I tried talking to him, but he was stilll angry that he snapped and wouldn't listen to me,"

The Lunar Guardian rubbed her chin. "I think it's the 'getting smoked by my little sibling' that did it for him,"

"Yeah," Crystal sighed again. "I'd be upset too, but it just means that you would be better at something,"

It wasn't more than a few minutes later when Blake showed up. He stood to the right of Lucy, watching the next game. The Silver Ranger was currently in the lead, but in a few moves, Crystal could be able to overtake her.

Hunter showed up minutes after that.

The sisters stopped their board game, moving to stand between the two brothers. The three males knew exactly what they were doing. It was to avoid another fight. Whether it was between Crystal and Hunter or him and Blake was up in the air.

Lucy stood against the towering Thunder Ninja. She knew that if Crystal was peeved at him, it would take a lot more than an apology for her to forgive the snapping. She also knew that Crystal didn't want to be around him, but avoiding him completely was going to be complicated. Considering they were teammates. Crystal and Blake seemed to be sharing the same look, same message. No catfights, but it would happen.

Cam moved to sit at the table between the two sets of siblings, a computer in front of him. "I just called the others,"

Seconds later, the primary Rangers arrived to see the siblings standing in a line behind the genus. "Hey, what's going on?" Shane asked, jogging into Ops.

"Look at this… and more importantly, listen."

The Rangers gathered around Cam, their eyes landing on the screen before him. Crystal and Lucy took the spots next to Hunter and Blake, peeking over Cam's shoulder.

On the screen, there was a feminine-looking robot. Pink and purple colors gave who it could belong to, but the voice was a dead giveaway. "Come on, Rangers, where are you?" Kapri taunted from her Megazord. "Don't you want to come out and play? It's just little old me."

"Is that who I think it is?" Dustin asked.

"Kapri?" Tori's eyebrows scrunched together.

Sensei flipped onto the table. "You are correct, Tori." He nodded. "There is no time to waste. You must intercept her before she can do any damage."

"I'll initiate the zord sequence from here, then join you," Cam told the team.

Shane nodded. He and the rest of the team climbed to their feet. "Right." The Rangers fell into formation.

"Before you go." The Rangers stopped and faced Sensei once more. "Blake, Hunter, you are brothers. Whatever differences you may have now, you must put them aside to perform your Ranger duties,"

"I will if he does." Blake jerked his chin at his brother.

"Don't worry about me, dude," Hunter snipped back.

"Well, now that we got that settled." Shane rolled his shoulders. "Ready?"

"Ready,"

The three Megazords stood against Kapri's in seconds, each with a weapon in their hand. "Storm Megazord," The winds called.

"Thunder Megazord."

"Eclipse Megazord."

"Well, there they are. All my least favorite colors," Kapri bit from her zord.

Dustin shook his head. "It's on now," He chuckled.

"Let's do this," Hunter agreed.

The Eclipse Megazord was the first to move. The rapier went up, slicing down at Kapri, but the girl was faster. She side-stepped and punched the Eclipse Megazord, sending it stumbling back.

Kapri dodged the Storm Megazord, blocked a hit from the Thunder Megazord, and then sliced its chest. She whipped around, striking the Winds once more. "Feel the love, Rangers." Pink hearts floated from Kapri's Megazord. "Feel the love." They crashed into the Storm Megazord, sending it back.

A power sphere popped out of the Storm Megazord. The sphere popped open, revealing the dog cannon. The Winds fired at Kapri.

The evil ninja dodged and rolled, avoiding the blasts. She cackled as the Thunder Megazord, who didn't move in time, was stuck with the lasers. The other Megazord rolled and swung its rapier at Kapri, hitting her shoulder.

Kapri laughed anyways, seeing the Thunders on the ground. "Nice shot, losers," She mocked. "Man, this is easier than I thought it would be,"

The Rangers stood against her, ready to face her again, when the arguing of the brothers rippled over the comms. "Why didn't you duck?" Hunter demanded.

"Me?!" Blake bit back. "You're the one with the lateral controls!"

Then, Sensei broke into the argument. "Excuse me, but what did we just discuss?"

Everyone knew both brothers were hanging their heads a little. "Sorry Sensei,"

"It won't happen again," Hunter assured him.

"Sometimes, I am so glad I'm an only child," Cam's voice resounded.

Lucy rolled her eyes. "Wow, must be nice."

"Hey, no need to be rude," Crystal shot back. She pushed the Megazord forward, getting into the grudge match with Kapri. The space ninja sent the two stumble but was surprised when the Eclipse Megazord nailed her in the chest.

"Wait a minute!" Kapri panicked. She waited until the Eclipse Megazord was close. "Now!"

The two other Megazords watch pink lightning strike the Eclipse Megazord, sending them flying. "I think I might have whiplash after this fight," Lucy complained. "Can you even get whiplash from this?"

"I don't know," Crystal snarked. "My controls are frozen."

"Aw, Sunspot, Moonbeam, are you stuck?" Shimazu's voice rang out from one of the two new robots in the ring.

Lucy threw her helmeted head back and groaned. "Just what we needed. The freak show and the stupid one,"

The MarahZord, bright pink and bee-like, shifted around. It placed its sabers in front of itself. "I'm not stupid!" Marah fired back. "But you didn't think I'd let Kapri get all the credit, now did you Rangers?" Marah fired off lasers, trying to hit the Wind Rangers, who had changed into Lightning mode. The Storm Megazord kept cartwheeling until Shimazu swiped down and stuck the Wind Megazord.

"Tori, are you okay?" Cam questioned.

"I think so," Tori replied, grunting after. "Just a little shaken up,"

Kapri flew through the air. "You're gonna be more than shaken in a minute, sister,"

An angry clattering sound followed by a pained grunt came from the Eclipse Megazord. The more miniature robot started to move, standing to face the three evil zords. "Note to self, never punch my controls again," Crystal muttered.

"That was you?!" Shane blinked. "I thought that was Lucy,"

"Hey! No need to be rude, Shane." Lucy shot back.

The Eclipse Megazord intercepted Kapri, sending her back a few feet. Then, while the Eclipse Megazord was finishing charging up, Kapri retaliated. She sent the smallest of the three robots back, crashing them against the Thunder Megazord.

"I'm back online," Hunter smiled under his helmet.

Blake glanced around his cockpit. "Me too,"

"Fantastic for you!" Crystal snapped.

"Don't punch your controls again!" Lucy shouted.

Crystal growled lowly. "No, but I will punch you if you say anything else about that,"

"Did I wake you up on the wrong side this morning?" Lucy barked back. "Because it sounds like it,"

"Let's just get on with this,"

"Tori!" Cam called, interrupting the sisters. "I've got something that might turn the tides. Stand by,"

"You got it!" Tori responded.

The Rangers turned to the sound of a chopper in the air. "It's Cam!" Shane called, smiling.

"And Cam!" Dustin pointed out.

"And Cam?" Tori questioned.

"What?" Hunter asked.

"Fight fire with fire, right?" Cam returned. In seconds three Samurai Star Megazords were standing in a row against the two set opponents. "They're drones," Cam explained. "Use them with your Megazords. Sorry Crystal, Lucy, I don't have one for you,"

"We got it, small Megazord with large arm, no Bueno," Lucy chuckled. "Plus, we still can't get up,"

Dustin chuckled. "Talk about multitasking,"

The two larger Megazords combined with their drone, causing Tori to be booted from the battle. Her Dolphin swam around until it rested near where the Eclipse Megazord was lying, still trying to gain power.

The six Megazords faced each other, weapons drawn and ready. Kapri practically snarled from her seat. "You guys ready to toast some teenagers?"

"Sequences prepared to fire," Shimazu announced.

Marah smirked. "It's good to be bad,"

The six charged at each other. The Winds took on Shimazu. Cam faced Kapri while the Thunders battled Marah. The Winds shoved Shimazu back. "Maximum power!" Shane called.

The Wind Megazord charged up, Lion head and Star Megazord whirling faster than anyone could see. The built-up power was released later, sending Shimazu and Marah down together. Their zords disappeared in a pile of smoke as they were launched out of them. They hit the ground roughly.

Shimazu climbed to his feet first. "You knew this would happen."

Marah brushed him off. "Hey, don't be such a wimp. Out robots are equipped with electrical pulse generators. The Rangers will be disabled as we speak."

Blue electricity ripped through the two large Megazords. "You guys feeling this?" Dustin questioned, head frantically swiveling to look for a workable control.

"I am," Hunter agreed, glancing around. "What is it?"

"I don't know," Blake returned.

Meanwhile, Kapri and Cam were still going at it. They were shaking up the city and causing people to flee. At one point, Kapri sent Cam crashing to the ground. "Aw, don't look so down Green Ranger,"

"Tori, ready to get in this?" Cam questioned.

"You know it!" Tori confirmed. The Dolphin took off, flying right at Kapri. "Remember me?"

"Huh?" Kapri questioned. But it was too late. By the time she realized what was happening, the Dolphin was already clamping down on her side. "What are you doing? I hate fish!"

The Dolphin backed up, flapping and clapping its flippers.

"Yeah, go Tori!" Shane applauded.

Tori reconnected with the Wind Megazord. "Now, let's show them real zords,"

"Not without us!" Crystal joined in, maneuvering the eclipse Megazord to stand in front of the larger two. "Thanks to the electrical pulses set off by Marah and Shimazu, the Eclipse Megazord has enough power to function."

"You heard them, guys!" Shane called.

Hunter, Cam, Shane, and Crystal pulled their Hurricane disks out. "Power disk, locked and dropped." The four spheres appeared instantly. In seconds, the Hurricane Megazord stood towering over Kapri.

"You're gonna have a mammoth headache when this is over," Tori joked, pulling the Mammoth guitar out. She started to play chords, calling the Mammothzord from its resting place. The Megazord combined with the Mammoth, calling on all the Mammoth's disks. Each appeared and became attached to the Mammoth Megazord. "Mammoth Megazord blast, activate,"

"Fire!" All the Rangers called.

The powerful blast collided with Kapri. She screamed while lightning skittered around her control panel. Puffs of smoke rose, and small explosions caused Kapri to be ejected from her zord.

Kapri face-planted on the ground. She groaned in pain while her sister and Shimazu raced over to her. The general stopped while Marah went to help her. "Your plan failed!" Shimazu snapped.

"Well, at least we had a plan!" Kapri returned. "What do you have?"

"Besides an escape route that is." Marah placed a hand on her hip.

Shimazu stomped his foot. "How dare you?!" He screamed.

"What? You don't like the way we're talking to you?" Kapri snipped.

"No, I don't," Shimazu turned around and crossed his arms over his chest.

Marah smiled. "We can fix that. No problem." The two stepped back a few paces. "Shall we?"

"We shall," Kapri smirked.

The two threw their hands out, generating pink beams. They shot them at Shimazu, hitting him square in the chest. He screamed in pain as his body crashed onto the ground. It exploded a second later, ending the life of the oldest of Lothor's generals.

Later that day, the Brewer sisters stood between the battling Bradley brothers. Both were decked out in their riding gear, sitting on their bikes. Both sisters were in their usual jeans and t-shirts. Crystal has the addition of Hunter's hat to continue protecting her eyes.

"All right, you two," Crystal spoke, bringing both brothers' attention to her. "Since neither of you will admit to the National qualifying race, Lucy and I came up with a way that you two can figure out who's better. Act like it's a moto race and we'll be peachy keen,"

Both brothers nodded. Blake lifted his helmet. "Let's finish this, once and for all,"

"Fine," Hunter agreed, shoving his helmet on.

The two took off a second after that. Hunter took the early lead. But Blake wasn't far behind. They both tottered into first. On the final corner of the track, Blake took the higher side, whipping out in front of his brother and securing the first place spot.

They stopped a few feet from the finish line. Blake pulled his helmet off first. "Yeah, man, good race." He smiled at his brother. "You totally railed that last turn."

Hunter folded his arms on top of his helmet. "Yeah. Thanks." He breathed. "You were right,"

"About what?" Blake questioned.

"You beat me fair and square," Hunter stated. "It's hard to admit that your little bro does something better than you do,"

"Listen, bro, today might be better," Blake started. "Tomorrow might not be. But we're always going to be bros. Just got to remember that,"

"Yeah, we do." Hunter smiled. He turned his head, spotting his girlfriend and her sister. He raised an eyebrow.

Crystal stood, facing the two and leaning on the railing of the track. It wasn't her stance that caught Hunter off-guard. It was her eyes. He had always described Crystal's eyes as emeralds. But today, they weren't. Instead, gold irises stared back at him. A smile danced on her lips. One meant to be warm and welcoming as the sun.

Lucy's were a startling contrast. Sterling silver and cold all over. A smirk painted on her lips. Not the typical 'We are always right' smirk, but an 'I have something planned and you are not going to like it' kind of smirk. One that was never good.

Seconds later, the emerald green and chocolate brown returned, leaving absolutely no trace of the guardian colors they were before. The two guardians head over to the brothers. "So?" Crystal smiled.

"We're good," Blake smiled.

Hunter raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. When he realized that Crystal was staring at him, he cleared his throat. "Yeah, we…we worked it out. I just it was just hard to admit."

"It's not easy to have a sibling to something better than you, trust me, I'm with you there," Lucy smiled, wrapping an arm around Crystal. "Just remember that no matter what, family sticks together, deal?"

Both brothers smiled at each other. "Deal,"
