Chapter 2
November 1, 1981 Diagon Alley
Caster, Vivian, and Sirius walked through the quiet alley at about Three in the morning. Vivian was fast asleep in Caster's arms as they walked. Sirius tried to get some information out of her about her and her fellow servants, but she remained tight lipped. The less he knew, the safer the child in her arms would be. Approaching the bank, they saw armed Goblin guards outside the bank. Caster paused to look at them. To her eyes, they were well trained in close quarters combat. Their silver armor glowed orange under the torch light outside the bank, and their halberds ready to dispatch any threat.
"Correct me if I am wrong, but are those goblins?" caster kept her eyes on the guards. "They seem different from the ones I have seen."
"They are, and they can be right nasty in dealing with witches and wizards." Sirius was chuckling at her question. "Although it is normally the arrogant purebloods that think they are above them due to being 'Pure.'"
"Then let us see what they make of a goddess." Caster replied as she strode forward, a confused and stunned Sirius moving to catch up after hearing that.
The guards took notice of Caster immediately as she approached the doors and crossed their weapons. "Halt, witch! Human access is forbidden until Eight in the morning."
"Then I suppose you will have to wait out here, Mr. Black." Caster glanced back at Sirius. "It seems you will not be allowed in until eight. Noble guards, might you part the way for me then?"
"Did you not hear me, Human?" One guard growled out menacingly. "No access until Eight in the Morning!"
"I did, but you never said goddesses were not allowed." As caster said this, Lancer and Archer de-astralized, and stood beside Caster. The goblin guards quickly tried to prepare for a fight. "These are the mesopotamian goddesses Ishtar and Ereshkigal, where as I am Scáthach-Skadi, also known in the Norse pantheon as the Bride of the Gods. I have business to attend to with an account manager. Mr. Black, I do apologize, seem to have forgotten, which family does little Vivian here belong to? Also, before you make any mistakes, I have not allowed you to call me anything other than Caster, Mr. Black. The same can be said for Archer and Lancer here."
"Of course, Caster. Vivian is heiress of the Potter family, and as of a few hours ago, orphaned."Sirius answered her, as even though he had never heard of her, he was pretty sure angering a goddess was the last thing he wanted to do.
"Right this way, my ladies. You wizard, will stay out here."
"Caster, if it is all the same to you, I'm going to go hunt down that rat Peter for betraying Lily and James." Sirius knew he wasn't going to be welcome past this point.
"I do mind actually, as that would probably be the stupid thing that Vivian's mother said you would do." Caster warned him.
"I don't care if it is stuid or not. That bloody rat got my brother and his wife killed, and I intend to bring him in." Sirius almost shouted at her.
"I would scold you for your tone when speaking to a goddess, but you likely wouldn't listen. Do not say I did not warn you, but it will likely be a trap. As you have escorted us here, your job has been fulfilled. Pleasant hunting, Mr. Black." Caster wished him well and walked into the bank, followed by Archer and Lancer.
"Shouldn't one of us follow him?" Lancer questioned as they followed one of the guards through the bank.
"No, as he is likely to not trust us to protect him like we would Vivian. However, I believe Archer can do so as a way for us to keep track of Vivian's godfather." Caster discreetly signaled to Archer, who huffed and did as insructed.
"What of the others?"
"Currently outside the bank standing guard." Caster cut Lancer off. "Alter Ego and Saber are ready to act at a moment's notice, while Ruler and Avenger will back them up as need be. I beleive we have reached our destination." Caster and Lancer noticed the plaque on the door the guard stopped infront of said 'BrakeFang, Potter family Vault Master.'
"Please wait here a moment." The guard quickly knocked and entered the room, emerging moments later. "Vault Master BrakeFang will see you now."
Entering the room, the guard bowed before returning to his post. The goblin behind the desk glowered at the two as they took seats infront of him. "Is there a reason I shouldn't have your heads removed tor waking me up for a meeting with someone other than the Potter family heads?"
"I do not like your tone, Vault Master. I would suggest you fix it when addressing two goddesses, especially when one is a goddess of death." Lancer warned him as he stood and drew his sword.
"I don't care who you are, goddess or not. I will not be disturbed until the Head of House for the Potter Family comes to speak with me. Your heads will roll now!" BrakeFang roared as he leapt at Lancer, only to find himself encased in ice. Goblin warriors entered the room, weapons ready as One goblin wearing a crown walked in behind them.
"What do you think you are doing in my bank?" The crowned goblin demanded.
"We came so I could aquire guardianship of little Vivian here after her parents were murdered a few hours ago, and the vault master here took offence at being woken up to meet with two goddesses here to speak with him." Caster replied calmly as she tried to make sure Vivian was still asleep. "One of the guards at the entrance can verify our claim."
Sending one of his guards to the bank's entrance, the crowned goblin kept his eyes on the two while he awaited confirmation. The guard returned a few minutes later. "My king, they speak the truth. The two are goddesses."
"I see, as he is not dead, BrakeFang will be firmly punished. Take him away, I will deal with him later. Keep two guards outside this room, I will see to this business myself." On those orders, BrakeFangwas carried away, as the crowned goblin took up the vault master's chair. "On behalf of Gringotts, I apologize for what just happened. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Ragnok the Third King of the goblin nation. How may I help you two today?"
"You may call me Caster. I need to see Lily and James Potter's wills and aquire guardianship of Vivian Potter in both the mundane and magical side of things." Caster stated as she handed Vivian to Lancer as gently as possible.
Reaching into the desk, Ragnok pulled out two folders, one marked wills, the other marked as adoption forms. "Lady Potter warned us this was coming. Seems she knew her time was limited, as she wrote a will. Her husband, seems to have not. Let us deal with the adoption papers first. Been forever since ive done this myself." Ragnok chuckled as he handed caster a quill and thirteen pieces of parchment. "Sign your name, not your class, on pages three, five and seven for Magical Guardian, and on ten, eleven, and thirteen for Muggle guardianship."
Lancer was the one that responed to his words. "You know of the classes?"
"My lady, Ragnok the first was there when the Holy Grail Wars were started. Although the ritual used to summon you two was different, just barely, all of our royal family is informed of the Grail wars. One is set to happen when the potter heiress turns six might suggest you visit Fuyuki in Japan when she turns seven." Ragnok laughed, he knew something. By this point Caster had finished signing the papers, and had started reading Lily's will.
"I have another thing to ask, do you have a way to deal with shards of souls that don't belong inother people or objects?" Lancer asked as she looked at Vivian's scar.
"Soul shards... you mean Horcruxes?!" Ragnok looked furious at the mention of such a thing.
"Yes. As I am goddess of the underworld, I can tell each person's soul apart. Vivian here is a reincarnated soul, however, she has a piece of another's soul behind this scar she got today when she was attacked. I can feel it is a piece of the same soul as the other one in one of the vaults you are guarding underground."
Caster looked at Lancer, as Ragnok ordered his guards outside the door to search every vault. "You are positive she has one." It was less of a question and Lancer knew it.
"Very, I cannot see who's it is as the shard is too small, but it is there none the less."
Lancer nodded as Ragnok turned to them.
"Follow me. we will get it removed from her at once. No charge as we are dealing with goddesses, but only this one time. When we find the one you told us is in one of our vaults, the owner of the vault will be heavily fined. Thirty percent will be added to The Potter Family vaults. Follow me." Ragnok led them from the room and deeper into the bank to a different room.
What could only be described in nightmares took place for the next fifteen minutes as goblin curse breakers and healers isolated the foreign piece of soul and extracted it from Vivian's scar. the process waking her and causing immense pain, making her cry. After the horcrux was removed, Caster rocked her back to sleep, calming her back down in moments.
"What can I do for you now, my ladies?"
"Get us in contact with one Amelia Bones, Lily wanted for Amelia to help my new daughter's guardians to find a place to live, and have Amelia's neice grow up as her friend."
"It will be done. Let us head back to the office and get her here." Ragnok stated as he sent a goblin tosummon Amelia Bones.
November 03, 1981 Wizengamot Chambers
Caster sat beside Amelia Bones in the Wizengamot chambers for an emergency meeting. None of the families knew what was going on, but a certain old man was convinced he was about to get his way. As le last of the families took their seat, Cheif Warlock Albus Dumbledore spoke his greeting. "Thank you everyone for being able to make it to this emergency meeting of the Wizengamot. I know it is a time of celebration as the dark lord has fallen, but there is some news that must be discussed and it is with great pride that I say that the secret keeper who betrayed the Potters has been caught. Before we get too far into Our business, I , Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore do hereby claim guardianship of Vivian Potter."
Caster chose this time to speak up. "I, Regent Potter, deny your claim on my adopted daughter." Caster stood up as she said this.
"Regent Potter? There is no way possible for you to be. Who are you, my dear?" Dumbledore was barely cntaining his rage at this woman for interrupting him in claiming guardianship of the Potter brat. He needed her under his guidannce, for the greater good, he had to be the one to guide her to her destiny.
"I do not see how my Identity is your business, but you may call me Caster. I deny your claim as being too late." Caster smirked as she started to verbally slap Dumbledore. "I adopted Vivian Potter as both her mundane and magical guardian November first. For you to try this means you are trying to be more than the three full time jobs you already have. Moving on, I do believe you said the secret keeper was caught. Does that mean i can expect Peter Pettigrew to be brought in for a trial?"
"My dear, we can discuss the part of guardianship in private later, Regent Potter. However, when i said the secret keeper was caught I meant Sirius Black, The Potter's secret keeper. He has been sent staight to Azkaban, as his crimes were too horrible to have him brought before tis august body."
"are you telling me that you sent an innocent man to prison?" Caster was nit picking him, Amelia could see it, but she kept her mouth shut.
Barty Crouch Sr. laughed. "Black is as dark as the rest of his family. Best he was tossed in and the key thrown away."
"So you are saying that the Late Lady Lily Potter's will is a lie when it said that Sirius was acting as decoy for Peter to remain hidden?" Caster had them hook line and sinker. "I specifically spoke with the man for a few hours after the Potter's deaths as he escorted me to Gringotts. A wise person once said that 'The eyes are a window into the soul.' In his eyes, I saw pain, heartache, sorrow, and anger. He was filled with joy when he looked at Vivian, proud tohave been chosen as her godfather. If a man who would mourn for his fallen friend, a man he said was his brother in all but blood, is the traitor, then I must be a Dead Apostle because I have red eyes." At seeing their cofusion, Caster ammended what she said. "My apologies, I believe your term for them would be vampires."
At that comment a toad in an ugly pink cardigan stood and shreiked, "AURORS, arrest that dark creature for daring to take seat among us!"
Panick started to spread as Caster had multiple wands aimed at her in seconds. "If I am a dark creature, then you must be some kind of toad crossed with a troll. While I will admit I am not human, I am no vampire. I am a goddess. As such you will stand down."
Caster released the hold she had on her divinity, giving her a sense of authority over the room. The aurors felt this and lowered their wands. Caster made her way to the center of the room. turning to the toad of a woman, she glared."You have just made an enemy of me. I do not tolerate such blatant disrespect when I have done nothing to warrant your animosity. As what you said has no intent towards my daughter, i cannot call the magics of the Most Ancient and most Noble House of Potter to name you an enemy of the house. However, since the public opinion will dictate if you have any sway in the ministry after today, I doubt they would be pleased to hear that you slandered a goddess. Now sit down and be silent before I use my own magics to turn you into a block of Ice." Turning her attention back to Dumbledore, Caster made her intentions known. "Now, as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted by... I'm sorry miss toad, what was your name again?"
"M-m-my name is Dolores Umbridge, your grace." Umbridge was cowed hard in seconds, while plotting her revenge.
"Thank you Miss Toadstool. I wish to know if Mr. Black is going to be given a fair trial."
"I am sorry to say Madame Regent, that the will of the Late Lady Potter is not enough to grant your request. Sirius Black will be remanded to the high security wing of Azkaban for the rest of his days." Dumbledore dryly stated as he faked his sadness. He was fuming on the inside. How dare this woman claim to be that which even he is not, a divine being. He was the second coming of Merlin, yet she had the gall to oppose him.
"Oh well. I suppose I can't say I didn't try." Caster said as the chamber doors opened up to show an agitated Avenger walk in dragging a blonde man in dark robes.
"Who dares disrupt this meeting without authorization?" yelled a rather round and plain man in a bowler cap.
"Oh my. What brings you here, Jealter dear?" Caster asked as she looked to the man Avenger was dragging behind her.
"Aside from getting away from my irritating goodie two shoes of a twin sister, this man and about a baker's dozen others broke down the ward at the Ossuary half an hour ago."
Amelia paled as she cried out. "Oh no, Susan!?"
"Red is safe. She and Vivie are safe. The attacking force never made it past the ward line before my 'other sister' Okita put them down like rabid mutts. Miya made sure that at least one of the idiots stayed alive to be brought in to account for their failed attempt at what was most likely a kidnapping or murder." Avenger stated in a growl as she threw the man she was dragging to the center of the room.
"Did your sister have to kill them? Was there no way they could have been given a second chance to atone for their sins?" Dumbledore tried to show his disappointment at this newcomer for not having tried to save the other men's lives.
"Not when they threaten our new little sister. one of them said a spell and cast a mark in the sky. I believe the spell said was Mors something or other." Avenger shrugged, not really caring. "I Just came to deliver this piece of filth to you. See you at home, Mother." Avenger may not have liked it, but in that moment, she played a very convincing actor, cementing the tale of the heroic spirits being a family in the eyes of the Wizarding world.
"With that, Aurors take that man to the holding cells to await questioning. I hereby close this emergency session. Regent Potter, a word in private if I may?"
"Granted, but make it quick. I must be getting back, as Madame Bones and I must both start looking for new housing." Caster was sure she knew what this was about.
As everyone but Amelia and Caster left, Dumbledore made his way to them. "I believe I asked for a private word?" Dumbledore frowned when Amelia didnt leave.
"As Caster and I Both share the same home for the moment, anything said here would make its way to me back at home just the same as here." Amelia replied, not giving him any room to counter her argument.
"So it seems." He sighed as he turned to Caster. "Madame Regent, I must ask that you give up your custody of Vivian Potter to me. The magic Lily used grants Vivian protection, but it requires her to stay with those of her mother's blood for them to work."
"While we sat that in a book noted by Lily as one you gave her, her notes said she chose one she found in the Potter Family library, one that doesn't require what you just said." Caster rebuked him. Dumbledore was not used to having people talk back to him.
"Even still, I must insist. You heard what happened when one of your daughters came in earlier. She will be safer with her maternal aunt,"
"Not so, as my daughter Miya spoke with the lady yesterday. She was very adamant that if Vivian so much as showed up on her doorstep, she'd call the police to send the child to a home for incurably criminal children, and suggest that the child be 'diciplined' with the harshest methods available." Caster was now bored of Dumbledore's game, and turnedaround to walk way. "The earliest you will have anything to do with Vivian's life will be when she starts her Hogwarts education, and even then, you will not be allowed to be alone with her in a room under any circumstance. That is not negotiable. Farewll, Mr. Dumbledore."
Having dismissed him, Caster and Amelia left the chamber to head home. As they did so, they left a fuming Albus Dumbledore to his thoughts. "How dare that woman not listen to me. I am the only one who can guide the child to the right so, I can still make this work. I have ten years to make my lans perfect, after all."
December 28, 1981 Crawley, England
The days passed slowly up to this point, as Caster and Amelia spent time looking for a good sized house to move to on the mundane side. Amelia had pointed out that alot of the Death Eaters, also known as the Traditionalist Pure Blood Faction, had little way of finding them in the muggle world. As they searched, they bumped in to a rather nice lady pushing her daughter in a stroller. As the parents talked, housing came up, and the woman, now Known to Caster and Amelia as Emma Granger, had told themof a house up for sale three blocks from her house. Showing them he way, the two magical parents found a rather nice three story house. Amelia quickly bought the house, giving no qualms about moving from her ancestral home if it meant keeping her niece safe.
During the weeks that passed, two of the servants got jobs in the mundane world to keep up an appearance and as a way to not rely on just the money in Vivian's vault. With Amelia's help, Ruler got a teaching degree, and took up a job as a teacher's aide at the nearby elementary school. Lancer on the other hand took up a quiet job as an assistant librarian in the local library. As both helped out by buying the groceries, it was agreed to by the others. Caster set up as the mother hen of the house, often getting the others to do various chores about the house. Saber, had tried to wander off and explore the outside world to see what was different than the Japan she knew, but got lost on the way. Due to this, any time she wandered, Archer now had to go with her. With Alter Ego, she preferred to just stay home and protect her master, while Avenger just sat back and did nothing. At least until being smacked upside the head with a cast iron frying pan courtesy of Caster. Meanwhile, Amelia went to work at the DMLE, working her way through the ranks. As a head auror, she was just a few steps away from reaching her goal of Director of the DMLE.
Vivian and Susan, in this time, started to walk, and never seemed to be far from the other. Seemingly inseparable, Caster had to have Avenger keep an eye on the two as she learned how to cook. As they were on the mundane side of the world, they couldn't use magic without shorting out the neighborhood. Everyday after moving ion to their new home, Caster spent the two hour nap periods of the two toddlers over at the graner household learning from Emma, and discussing the children when they did so. Caster pondered about the old goat and how much issue he had given her. Dumbledore on two occasions tried to get the Heroic spirit to surrender her guardianship of Vivian Potter, as well as using her name for books. Needless to say, that didn't go over too well with Caster. She had hence rebuked him and gotten the publishing authors using Vivian's likeness to state that their books are fiction, while also giving thirty percent of the profits to Vivian as it is her name and likeness they are using.
A trial for the man Avenger dragged into the chambers had been thrown out rather quickly. When asked about it, Caster was told the man claimed he was under the Imperious Curse, and as such his case was tossed out by the newly elected Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge. Caster laughed as she thought about how Fudge had made his first mistake in her eyes, but kept quiet as she would give him plenty of time to dig a deep enough grave for his political career before she called him on his mistakes. True to form, the public was in outcry when one Dolores Umbridge was given the office of Senior Undersecretary to the minister. Thanks to public outcry, she was fired two days later when she tried to have a muggleborn witch fired because of her blood status. This incident got her investigated, resulting in a ten year stay in Azkaban for abusing her position. Never let it be said that Caster didn't warn her.
August 14, 1984 Crawley, England
Three years went by rather quickly for the family. The servants had set a full time schedule now, with Caster maintaining the house as the mother figure, keeping the others (Mostly Avenger) in line. Alter Ego took up a mail route to pass the time before Vivian and Susan woke up, while the others did as they had before. At three, caster put the armor head piece on Vivian. As Alter Ego stands guard over her master, she makes sure it stays on. Being aware the young girl has too much magic, Caster has been teaching Vivian sign language since she turned three. Being four years old now, Vivian has a good grasp of her hands, and can sign out her words to say what she wants pretty quickly. Caster learned just how much of her birth mother Vivian had in her when she started teaching the children to speak. As Caster and the other servants took two years to learn sign language, Caster had been surprised when Vivian started to be able to sign out whole words after three months. As the two grew up like sisters, naturally, Susan would learn sign language too. Though she is not yet to Vivian's level, Susan can at least say she is hungry.
Unlike her sister, Susan was not restricted to sign language. As far as the two knew, Vivian could talk, but it was safer for her not to. They learned that after Vivian nearly put Avenger through the ceiling just by saying up when she wanted to be picked up.
Caster currently had the two young girls sitting in their seats, having gotten washed up for dinner when the frond door opened. The fire place roared with green flames at the same time as Amelia, Ruler, and Lancer got home from work.
"We're home!" Lancer called out as she and Ruler entered the dining room.
"Welcome back./You're back!" Caster and Susan replied back as Vivian signed out to them. "How were things at work today?" Caster asked all three who just got home as everyone sat down to the table. As they did so, Lancer sighed.
"i had an absolutely horrible day. the ceiling collapsed on an elderly lady as she was reaching for a book. when i called Grunnings to get someone from their company to come out and help us fix it, the associate I got on the phone, a certain Vernon Dursley, said it was our fault the ceiling collapsed and that we were to not contact them again." Lancer had her head in her hands. "I tried to get the lady out on my own, and I did, but the damage done in the collapse was terrible. She was lucky to have made it out with only a broken leg. Grunnings had supplied the nuts, bolts and tools to renovate the library thirteen years ago, and when we asked for hep, they tore into us as if we were the ones responsible."
"About the same for me." Ruler replied. "I was at lunch with one of my colleagues when we came across an absolutely rude couple and their child. We had been sitting near the playground as my colleague Mrs. Carmichael is a mother of two. Her daughters were playing peacefully when an absolutely rude little boy, who looked like he needed to go on a diet, walked up and hit one of then. Naturally, we got up and checked on her daughters and I told the boy to lead me to his parents as he was in trouble. I followed him to a human walrus and a horse-like lady. When I introduced myself, and told them what their son had done, the mother said there was no way it was her perfect little angel who could have done such a thing, that I was telling her a lie. The father stood up at that point and slapped me, saying that I was disrupting the meal of outstanding members of the community, and that my colleague's daughter deserved to be taught her place by his son. As much as I wanted to slap him back, I instead told him that his parenting skills were leading his child to become a bully, and that if I was one of his teachers, he would deserving detention writing lines with me during recess. I then turned around and walked away before the situation could turn ugly."
"At least one of us is having a good day then." Amelia sighed as she took her seat. "If I was a muggle police officer I would have that man being questioned right now. In my case I finally got promoted. You are looking at the new directer of the DMLE."
"Congratulations, Amelia! looks like we will need to celebrate."
"Do it somewhere else. I don't want to deal with your loud obnoxious part-urk!" Avenger was cut off as a cast iron frying pan bounced off her head. "Okay, who did that?!"
She paused when she saw Caster with another one in her hand, with Vivian right beside her. "You were saying, Jealter, dear?" Avenger quietlyl took stock of her situation, and accepted defeat as Vivian signed out that she lost.
July 19, 1988 Fuyuki, Japan
Vivian calmly walked down the quiet streets of Fuyuki with Saber. As the only person she knew that could speak japanese, Saber was told to stay close to her. Vivian may not have shown it due to her occlumency training, but she was happy to be traveling with one of her big sisters. Last summer she traveled yo France with Big Sisters Jeanne and Jealter. As Mama had told her, she listened when her big sisters told her to do something. Alter Ego was close by in astral form, so as to protect Vivian in case of danger. Thanks to big sister Jeanne, Vivian had read multiple books, including the ones supposedly written about her. She had almost broken her occlumency to laugh when she compared what the books said her life was like. As they were walking, they came across a young girl leaving a church alone.
"Exuse me, but why are you out here alone?" Saber asked as the girl sensed the magic coming from Vivian. Caught off guard by the question the girl looked a might bit irritated.
"Not that it is any business of yours, but my guardian after my parent's passing lives here. I am Rin Tohsaka, now identify yourself, magus." The girl was a bit rude, but to be expected as she had been apparently caught off guard.
"I am Miya, Vivian's big sister" Saber started to respond when she noticed Vivian enter the church. "Master, What are you doing?"
"Thanks to Eri, I can sense a soul that should be gone already. As I have a sense of what Servants are, I can sense the traces of one here. Kita is outside on my orders. I will call if I need some help." Vivian told her through their link. As she did so, she approached the altar, where she proceeded to pull out her notepad.
"Can I help you child?" said the priest.
'I believe you can. What can you tell me about why you and that man over there have not moved on?' Vivian asked as she pointed to Gilgamesh, as he walked out from the shadows.
"So a mongrel wench thinks she can adress the king of Heroes in am informal way, does she?" Gilgamesh was slightly angered.
'I apologise if what I said was informal, as I did not know I was adressing the King.' she bowed to him. 'Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Vivian Potter, an intraining magical from Britain. Through contract I am master of seven servants, one of which is Ereshkigal. As such, I wish to enqure what has happened to better understand the situation here.'
The priest had discreetly behid his back held three black handled blades. "I believe you do not need to know as you will not be leaving here alive."
Before he could react, Vivian spoke. "Stand still." Both Gilgamesh and the priest were frozen still. Vivian turned to Gilgamesh. ' I am sorry about this your Highness. Because my body produces more magic than I can burn off, my words have power. As such I normally speak by my note pad or by sign language. I can sense a few things in town that I will be taking care of. Woul you please enlighten this humble servant as to what happened to this town?'
"While I am loathe to do so because of being trapped, you respect my authority. I will answer you, only because it amues me." So Gilgamesh told her of what he knew had happened. Though her face did not show it, she was disgusted with his arrogance.
'And you just let him do so?'
"as long as it amuses me, yes."
It was then, Vivian, knowing full well that doing so would have an effect uttered the darkest thing she could say. "Die"
As the two men collapsed, having lost all life in their bodies, Vivian collapsed to her knees, clutching her stomach. Saber, and Alter Ego sensed the shift in mana, and entered to find Vivian havng tossed her lunch. Rin came in as well, demanding answers, which were not given for multiple hours. Finding out her guardian was supposed to be dead, and that something was wrong with the grail, Rin was asked if she would like to join their family, which she agreed to as a way to not be left by herself.
It was a week later that the same dark word came to be said again. this time, to an old man who was leeching life off of his adopted granddaughter. The grandson, whoever he was, was found in a pit with a young girl Viivian's age. The pit was full of gross looking worms, and the boy's body was mostly just bones, showing he had been in there a while. After the man had been dealt with, the girl, Sakura, was adopted by the rather strange family. Taken by Amelia to St. Mungo's Immediately, they were able to catch that there were multiple of these worms in Sakura's body. They were removed carefully, and burned away after being removed. On an unrelated note, a week later, a man named Kiritsugu Emia, and his adopted son, Shirou, had moved from Fuyuki, to the same neighborhood as Vivian's family, along with a young japanese associate of theirs looking to become a teacher.
September 25,1990 Crawley, England
Amelia Bones was just leaving the Granger's house when she ran into Minerva McGonagall. "Professor McGonagall, good morning. I wasn't expecting you here this early."
"Nor was I to see you at a muggle house, Madame Bones." McGonagall was understandably confused.
"Are you here for Hermione?" Amelia's question caught her by surprise.
"Yes, but how did you know that name?" The professor asked as she passed Amelia on her way to the door.
"Vivian, Susan, and Sakura are her best friends. Aside from Sakura, Rin, and Shirou, Vivian and Susan grew up with Hermione. Apologies, but I am running late. I just dropped the girls off for the day before going to work. Enjoy your meeting with the Grangers, Professor." With that Amelia left quickly, leaving a stunned Minerva McGonagall to wonder what to expect when meeting with the Grangers, as well as Vivian Potter.
